Fluttershy was really angry now. Rainbow Dash had said that she had found a town, but it was not a town. It was just a mirage! Now they were even more lost than they were before. “I wish Angel was here,” Fluttershy said. “I think he would know what to do.” “Why would he know what to do?” Rainbow Dash asked. “He used to live in the desert before he became my friend,” Fluttershy said. “That’s where he was born.” “I never knew that,” Rainbow Dash said. Then she got an idea. She ran away really fast and she found Angel and she brought him to them. “Angel!” Fluttershy said. Angel said, “Hi!” to her in his rabbit language that only Fluttershy could understand. “Can you help us get out of the desert?” Fluttershy asked. “We are stuck here and we don’t know how to escape.” Angel pointed in the right direction and they went that way for a long time until they eventually found the tour bus that they had forgotten to get back on. (They ate more cactus on the way because it took them two days to get there.) When they were there, Fluttershy said to Rainbow Dash, “Wait a minute. If you were able to get Angel, why didn’t you just lead us home?” “Oh, I didn’t go home,” Rainbow Dash said. “I just saw Angel in the desert when I was running around before and I went back and got him from the place where I had seen him at. I think he was out looking for us or something.” “Oh, that makes sense,” Flutttershy said, and they got on the tour bus. The tour bus was being driven by Mrs. Cake because she had wanted to go on a tour and thought that if she drove a tour bus then people would pay her and the tour would be free for her! “Why did you leave us behind?” Rainbow Dash asked Mrs. Cake. Mrs. Cake was really sorry and said that there were people out in the desert looking for them because they had been missing for days. Then they all went on the rest of the tour. They saw lots of cool sights and landmarks that they had never seen before, like the Grand Canyon and also other things like the Eiffel Tower. But their favorite thing that they saw was Mount Everest. Rainbow Dash ran all the way up Mount Everest and put a flag on top and then she ran back down again. “That was pretty awesome!” she said, and Fluttershy agreed. Eventually, the tour was over and the group all went back to the town where they lived again. “We had a cool trip!” Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash told their friends. Their friends were glad to see them. They had heard that Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had gotten lost in the desert, and had never heard that they had been found again. Rarity had been really worried! “You guys should go on the trip sometime, too,” Rainbow Dash said. The others agreed that they would all go on the trip together next time. But they wouldn’t get lost in the desert like Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy did! Later, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy decided to write a book about what had happened. They called it “Lost in the Desert!” A company bought the movie rights and it became the highest-grossing movie ever! It even beat Avatar! So Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were rich and they lived happily ever after. //-------------------------------------------------------// What Are We Going to Do?! //-------------------------------------------------------// What Are We Going to Do?! “What are we going to do?!” Fluttershy asked. “I don’t know!” Rainbow Dash said. They were trapped in the desert because they had gotten off their tour bus while it was touring the desert and had forgotten to get back on. Now they were walking through the desert and they didn’t know where to go! “I think I need to have water soon,” Fluttershy said. She saw a scorpion crawling on the sand of the desert. “Do you know where water is?” Fluttershy asked the scorpion. The scorpion shook its head and scuttled away. “Even the animals don’t know where water is?!” Rainbow Dash said, her throat parched. “Help!” she screamed as loud as she could, but nobody was around to hear it and she just hurt her throat because her throat was too dry to be screaming like that. “I think we can eat the cactus,” Fluttershy said. “I guess the scorpion didn’t know we could do that.” Fluttershy had been a member of the Desert Scouts when she was younger. They were a group that learned how to survive in the desert so that they would not get too thirsty and dehydrated if they were stuck there. “Okay,” Rainbow Dash said, and she ran as fast as she could to a cactus and took a bite. “Oh, no!” she said, her mouth really hurting because she bit on the spines of the cactus and they got stuck in her mouth. “No, you’re not supposed to eat the spines,” Fluttershy said. “Those parts aren’t good to eat.” “Well, how are you supposed to eat it, then?” Rainbow Dash asked. Fluttershy showed her how to eat the cactus the right way and then they were not thirsty anymore because they had gotten water from the cactus. “Thank you,” Rainbow Dash said. Now that she felt better, she could run really fast again (she wasn’t really fast before because she was too thirsty) and she decided that she would run around to find where the nearest town was. “Wait for me!” Fluttershy said, but Rainbow Dash had already left. “Oh, no, I am all alone,” Fluttershy thought. She was afraid that Rainbow Dash might never get back and she would be lost in the desert for at least ten years! She would come back to the school someday and all her friends would already have graduated without her because she was stuck in the desert for all that time. Then Rainbow Dash got back. “I found a town!” Rainbow Dash said, and she led Fluttershy to the town so they would not be lost in the desert anymore.
