"Although there is no way to prevent our downfall, there may be one way to assure our prevail" "And how shall we accomplish that, sister?" *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "You're sending us to the human realm?" A young lavender unicorn screamed "But, you always told me never to try and enter their realm! That the humans are dangerous! And how are you going to be able to hide six florescent ponies and a baby dragon among humans?" "It will not be easy, nor do I think you will enjoy this experience very much. But before I explain, would you mind getting your friends, I would rather not repeat this" The confused unicorn was snapped out of her daze by her mentors words Oh, my friends! Of course, Princess" And with a flash of light, her student was gone. It took all Celestia had not to collapse right there and then. Sending Twilight and her friends to the human realm would not only take a large toll on her magic, but on her heart as well. Twilight would be gone for a long time from equestrian standards, since they would have to gather and sort things out before retrieving them, it would take at least ten years in equestrian time, about two years on earth, and hopefully they would remember most of their past lives by then. She was not sure she would be able to cope. Sure there was Luna, but without Twilights organization, Celestia didn't know if she could accomplish it in time. Suddenly a lavender unicorn and six others rushed into the Ponyville library. And all chaos broke loose "Princess! Are y'all alright?" "Ya don't look too sharp" "Indeed, I didn't think one could look so pale with a white coat, darling" "What’s wrong, I mean, you don't have to tell us, I mean it’s none of our business, so..." "Well duh! I had a tail twitch, belly rumble, neck itch ear flop!" Everyone’s attention turned to the pink earth pony. "And whatever does that mean, darling?" Pinkie sighed and rolled her eyes "It means chaos is gonna take over Equestria! Right Princess?" Everypony was shocked, but one by one, five heads turned to the princess, all with the same question in their mind. And she would have to answer them "My little ponies, I have dreaded what I am about to say for a thousand years. An old foe, more powerful than Discord, or Nightmare Moon, has awoken. The last time she walked among us, it took us ten years to reclaim Equestria. The elements will stop her, but this foe is deceiving, and she is already free. The reason she has not yet risen to power, is because she knows that if you six harness the elements, she will be destroyed in a heartbeat. Therefore, she must do anything in her power to stop you before you stop her." After what seemed like years, a terrified Twilight stumbled over and spoke up. "Princess? Do you mean...?" The Princess wrapped a comforting wing around the shaking mare "I'm afraid so, my faithful student" The unicorn shrank into the alicorn's wing, and began to sob "Princess? I’m mighty sorry to interrupt y'all, but what's she gonna do ta us?" The mares looked very confused, save Twilight, who had continued to cry. "I am very sorry that I have to say this. She is going to do everything in her power, to kill you" *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* She knows But how? She knows you too well Makes sense, she wouldn't be an idiot, not if I had anything to do with it Of course not But, what do you think she's planning? I don't know, but we must keep heavy surveillance We must? We must *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The six mares did not react well to the news of their relocation and transformation. Rarity fainted, Applejack was shouting a string of unrepeatable words, Pinkie Pie's usual poofy mane had gone pin straight, Fluttershy was whimpering in a corner, Twilight continued to cry, and Rainbow Dash was flittering around the library like an angry hummingbird. Celestia decided to let them release their dismay before telling the next piece of news. Eventually, Twilight's crying came to a halt. And as her sense slowly returned, so did her curiosity "Wait, Princess? How are you going to accomplish this? I mean, transformation alone is exhausting, but opening a portal? You would have to spend enormous amounts of energy just to open it to the right place, and keeping it open for long enough that we will all make it through and out the other side? Not even you and Luna working together would be able to accomplish such a feat without total magic exhaustion, or death" The princess sighed, even in matters of this importance; her student still knew just what to ask. "It is true that Luna will have to help, but not even that will be enough, we will not only need your help, Twilight Sparkle, but the help of external energy as well. Rainbow dash, Fluttershy, we are going to need your wing power to help us with the magical energy issue. You see, while in the human realm, you will have all of your abilities and talents. Rarity will be able to use magic and will have extreme knowledge of design, Applejack, you will have your earth pony strength and knowledge of farming, Pinkie will be able to use her 'Pinkie sense', so on and so forth. With the exception of Twilight, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. You three will have used so much energy in the spell, your magical skills will not come forth until you have made up for lost energy, which will take about a week of two. This said, Luna is on her way. Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, its best we prepare. Of course, Twilight, Spike will not be coming, he will stay here with us" Twilight nodded in a daze, trying to process the information. "Oh, yes, of course, Princess" And she stumbled out from under her wing and to the stairs "Spiiiike! Spiiiiike! Come down please! It's important" A sleepy green and purple baby dragon stumbled down the stairs "What could be so important you had to interrupt my pre sleep nap?" Spike looked around at the ponies, and didn't seem too surprised. He stumbled over to the princess and leaned on her leg "So what are we up against, Sister? Discord? Nightmare Moon? Rebellion? Zombie pony apocalypse?" It was a nice break of reality for about a minute, until Rarity woke up screaming and reality came crashing down. Spike, being the love sick dragon he is, immediately ran to her side "What is it Rarity? Are you hurt? Do you need anything? Water? Food? Golden ring? Hearts of your enemy's? Anything, you name it" Rarity gave a weak smile and kissed him on the cheek "A cold glass of water would be lovely, Spike" The dragon floated to the kitchen on a cloud of hearts A Midnight blue Alicorn floated through an open window "Art thou ready?" A wave of discontent washed through the room "Yes, dear sister. Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, it would be wise to begin warming up, please tell me when you two are ready. Luna, when the time comes, we must aim our portal spell into the diamond at the top of this contraption." It was the first anyone noticed the large contraption the princess had brought with her. It was a large metal square, with a diamond on the top, with a large cube structure emerging from the side. Something looking like a fan was inside. "Twilight, you shall be doing the transformation on your friends, of course, I will have to transform you first" She lowered her glowing horn to her students head, and bit by bit, encased her in a golden shape of herself. The glowing blob began to transform, first taller, then the bottom split into two parts, creating two long limbs on her lower half. Two shapes emerged from the sides, and a large sphere grew from the top. Then, the golden glow exploded into a burst of godly light, and out walked a human. She had large violet eyes covered in glasses and deep purple hair. With a bright pink slash near the middle. She was pretty, but not beautiful to humans. Her flesh was a light brown hue, with nothing covering it. Before anypony could notice, Celestia covered her in a thin brown blanket. "Thank you" Twilight whispered. A green and purple dragon skipped into the room, humming a light happy tune. When he spotted Twilight he stopped and dropped the glass of water he was carrying. "Twilight? What...happened? You look...different" The human woman laughed lightly and walked to the dragon. With a sad smile, she knelt down and took his scaly hand "Yeah, Spike. It's me. Listen, the rest of the girls and I are leaving for a little bit. But, while we're gone, you get to stay with the princesses at the castle. Doesn't that sound fun?" Spike was confused "Sure...but, Twilight? Why do you look like that?" She laughed again "Well, Spike. Where we're going, everyone looks like this. We don't want to stand out more than we already will. Without multicolored hair and wings and what not. Now why don't you do pack kiddo? We'll still be down here when you're done, to say goodbye" She hugged him and he bounded away "Oky doky loky! As a certain pink earth pony would say.." He was at the top of the stairs when Twilight stopped him. "Spike?" He stopped and looked down at her "Yeah, boss?" There were tears beginning to form in her eyes "I love you" Spike smiled "Love you too" And then he was gone "Are you alright, Darling?"  The white unicorn, whom was once taller than her, now had to stretch to nuzzle her knees. She knelt down once more and bounced one of her deep purple ringlets. "I'm fine, Rarity. I can only imagine how beautiful a human you'll be" She stood and smiled. "I guess we'll find out now" She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. After a few moments, she reached out one hand. It began to glow deep purple, and soon so did each of her friends. One by one, they changed. Taller, legs, arms, head, and one by one, each of them exploded. First came a tall regal woman. With beautiful blue eyes, perfectly curled purple hair and ivory skin. Then came another. With long blond hair kept in a loose ponytail. Her bright green eyes shone brightly against her deeply tanned skin. A woman with bright pink curls and shy blue eyes. Unkept rainbow hair and bright pink eyes. Wings unfurled regally behind her A beautiful face filled with sympathetic blue-green eyes. Hidden under an endless blanket of soft pink hair. Her eyes opened, revealing two orbs of piercing white light A diamond An apple A balloon A lightning bolt A butterfly All encased in gold on the neck of a woman And a star Resting on the head of the eye of the storm Then nothing *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* So that’s what she's planning. Sending the bearers to Earth. She knows that's where I’m my weakest Well then I guess we'll have to stop her *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* One by one the woman awoke in their new bodies, each clutching their blankets close, especially Fluttershy. Only Twilight was still asleep. "My little ponies, it's time" Three women stood before the machine, one holding the unconscious form of her friend wrapped tightly in a blanket. Two others hovered in the cube. Slowly, but catching up speed, they began to flap their wings. Once the fan began to turn, the two princesses directed beams of light towards the diamond. Inside the initial square structure of the machine, six scenes took form. A library, a farm, a room filled with clothes, two apartments, and a forest. "Those are where each of you will stay during your time in that realm!" Celestia had to yell to be heard over the fan "You will jump through the portal when you feel you should! Applejack, you must throw Twilight Sparkle in once you see the library! Do you understand?" The two pegasi had joined them by this point, and they all shouted out a quick 'yes'. But before the first scene could appear, a bright light burst into the room. It was a pony. Made purely of light with a mane of fire. She didn't have any facial features, yet somehow she spoke. "Celestia, Luna. Oh how I have missed you both"  Her voice was light, pleasant, almost comforting, if you looked away of course. Luna looked to the six women, it was strange for them to see their princess afraid. "Pay no attention girls, she is trying to trick thou into missing the portal. She cannot hurt thou now" Forest. Fluttershy was paralyzed to the spot. But once Rainbow dash noticed it was her turn, she pushed her towards it. "Fluttershy! Don't let her scare you! Go!" The newcomer whipped her head towards the two girls "Not so fast" Suddenly a beam of light shot from the pony, into the portal. Now, instead of a clear forest, it was blurry, with patches of static. "Fluttershy! Go!" And with that, Rainbow Dash shoved the terrified girl through the portal. And with a quiet scream she was gone. Next was an apartment. At one point it was bright pink with fluffy pink couches and chairs, but now it was just a big screen of pink. "Ooohh! Pink!" And then, Pinkie was gone Soon, only Applejack and Twilight remained. "Applejack, put me down" She was shocked to see her friend was now fully awake. "Twi-" "Applejack! You have to go!" The screen showed a farm Applejack put her friend down and advanced towards the portal "Wait!" She turned around and Twilight Snapped her fingers, making a brown hat appear on her head. "Thank ya kindly, Twi. See ya soon!" And Twilight was alone. She turned her attention to the three alicorn’s. Celestia and the one made of light appeared to be fighting, leaving a struggling Luna powering the machine. "Twilight Sparkle!" She screamed "You must go! Now!" Unfortunately, this distracted Celestia, making her turn her head towards Twilight and- She was on the other side of the room. Her mentor, in a heap on the ground "Mother!" Twilights own words surprised not only herself, but the two other Alicorn’s as well, giving her enough time to run to the downed princess. Crying, she fell down beside her and hugged her neck. The Alicorn stroked her back with one hoof. "Shhh, my student. You must leave me. But we will meet again. Soon" She cried more, her tears collecting in Celestia's flawless white coat. "You underestimate me, Daughter" The Alicorn advanced towards them "Does this surprise you, Twilight? Did my Daughters never mention their mother. Were they too ashamed? Celestia just couldn't admit that not even her family loved her enough to stay loyal" Twilight hugged her teacher tighter "I love you" Then she got up and sprinted towards the machine. "Ah ah ah, not so fast" Twilight screamed as she was hit in the side with a blast of energy. She soared through the air until smacking into a bookcase, sending a shower of tomes. "I was hoping to rid myself of all of my enemies, but I guess you'll have to do" She advanced towards Twilight, if she had a face she would be smirking. "Twilight!" The Alicorn turned to the sound and was met with a book in the face. Spike was at the top of the stairs, throwing books and scrolls to no end. Taking advantage of the situation, Twilight dragged herself to the portal, clutching her now burning side. Once she reached it she thrust a hand out, and Spike disappeared, he was now safely in the castle, confused, but safe. "Luna! Get out of here!" The princess took one look at her and shook her head "Fools! This shall be your end Twilight Sparkle!" The Alicorn began to build up energy to kill her with, but Twilight smiled "Sorry, but this is where I get off" And she jumped through the portal. But not before hearing four quiet words that made her heart break. "I love you too"
