It's Stuck!

“I’m going to lift the whole castle!” Twilight said.

Her friends were surprised because they didn’t know that Twilight was so strong, but they watched in anticipation.

Twilight strained and strained and then she lifted her castle with her magic. It was really hard, but she was able to do it!

“Oh, no!” Twilight said. “I can’t put it back down. It’s stuck!”

“What do you mean, it’s stuck?” Rainbow Dash asked. “Just drop it!”

“I mean I can’t drop it!” Twilight said. “It’s stuck in my magic and I just can’t drop it now!”

Rarity tried to take the castle in her magic to help Twilight drop it, but it didn’t work because she wasn’t strong enough.

“What am I going to do?” Twilight asked. She didn’t want to keep carrying her castle in her magic forever because that would be really tiring.

“I guess you’ll just have to carry it in your magic forever,” Pinkie Pie said, and shrugged.

“NOOOOO!” Twilight said. And then she woke up. It was all a dream!

“Phew, I’m glad that was just a dream,” Twilight said. She walked out the door of the castle and started falling down toward the ground. Her castle was flying in the air and it wasn’t a dream after all!

“Oh, no!” Twilight shouted, this time for real and not in the dream. “I’m going to crash!” Her magic was too focused on lifting her castle, so she couldn’t even use any to fly with her alicorn wings.

But then Rainbow Dash flew by and she caught Twilight, so Twilight said, “Thank you!”

“Why are you lifting your castle?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“I don’t know. I had a dream that I lifted it and then when I woke up I was actually lifting it,” Twilight said. “I didn’t even know I was that strong!”

“Well, can you put it back down?” Rainbow Dash asked.

Twilight tried to put it down, but it was stuck. Just like in her dream!

“I can’t put it back down,” Twilight said sadly. “I guess I will have to just carry it forever now.”

“No, we won’t let you have to carry it forever!” Rainbow Dash said, and Fluttershy nodded. She was there, too. “We will get all of Cloudsdale to come help push the castle back down so that you won’t have to keep lifting it anymore!”

“Thank you,” Twilight said, and she stood there for twelve hours while Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy went to Cloudsdale to get help from the Wonderbolts and also all the other pegasi in Cloudsdale.

Finally, they got back and they started pushing the castle down. “It’s working!” Spitfire said, and the other Wonderbolts nodded. The castle was going down.

“Hooray!” Twilight said. “I won’t have to keep lifting my castle after all.”

They got the castle all the way to the ground and then suddenly the castle flew back up in the sky really fast like a bungee cord and they all flew off. “Oh, no! It’s even worse than before!” Twilight said. “What are we going to do now?”

“I don’t know!” Rainbow Dash said. “But look, it’s still flying away! Maybe it will go outside the range of your magic and then you won’t have to keep holding it anymore! It might still work!”

Twilight’s castle kept flying up in the sky farther and farther away until it was just a speck, and then eventually they couldn’t see it anymore.

“I don’t feel it anymore!” Twilight said. “I think I can fly again!” And she did.

All of the ponies celebrated, but Twilight was still sad that her castle was gone now. It was up in the sky somewhere and maybe it would be there forever.

All of the pegasi started to help build Twilight a new castle, but then they realized that they forgot about gravity! The castle was falling from the sky and they were all right under it! What were they going to do?!

Twilight didn’t want to use her magic to stop it because then it might get stuck again, so she shouted, “Run!” and all of the ponies ran or flew away from where it was falling. Twilight forgot that she could teleport, so she just ran away. But when the castle hit the ground, her hoof got stuck under it!

“Oh, no! I’m stuck!” Twilight said. “Help me!”

Rainbow Dash flew over to Twilight and she tried to pull her out, but she couldn’t get Twilight out!

“What now?” Twilight said. “I don’t want to be stuck here forever!”

“I have an idea!” Applejack said. She was there, too. Then she started bucking the wall of the castle over and over and over again until eventually it cracked and they were able to pull Twilight out!

“Thanks for saving me, Applejack!” Twilight said. But her leg was flat because the castle was so heavy that it had crushed it. “Ow!”

Princess Celestia was there, too, because she had heard about the falling castle, and so she used a special healing spell to heal Twilight right there so that she wouldn’t have to go to the hospital.

“All better?” Princess Celestia asked.

“Yes, I’m better now!” Twilight said, and she hopped around on the leg happily (only on that leg - it was a one-leg hop).

“So how are you going to avoid letting this happen again?” Princess Celestia asked Twilight, hoping that Twilight had thought things through while she was stuck.

“I’m going to not lift my castle anymore!” Twilight said. “Not even in my dreams!”

“But how will you stop the dreams from happening?” Celestia asked.

“Oh, I didn’t think about that!” Twilight said. “I don’t know!”

“I will help you!” Princess Luna said, walking around the corner of the castle.

“Thank you, Princess Luna!” Twilight said, and so from then on all of Twilight’s dreams were about good things like puppies and ice cream and never about lifting her castle up. With Luna’s help, she never lifted her castle up again!
