Chapter 2

It was 2:55 as the clock says. I was itching to get out of class to meet up with Sunset at the front of the school. I really think that she’s the nicest person I’ve ever met. That conversation we had hours ago went great, things weren’t awkward and... I think we might have some sort of... connection. Just thinking of Sunset Shimmer flows through my very mind. While I was daydreaming I felt a bulge that’s in my pants, I tried to stop thinking about cause that last thing I want is to look like a bitchy pervert, but my mind was a little too powerful. I snapped to my senses in an instant when the school bell finally rang.

I packed my book bag and ran out of the classroom as fast as I can. I went out the door only to find people out at the front of the school, but no Sunset. I out look out to the front of the school till I saw a hand waving, I would assume that it was probably Sunset so I decided to walk over. I was right, It was Sunset and I could see that she’s with a couple of friends as well.

“James!” Sunset says as she quickly ran over to me and gave me a hug.

“Hey Sunset, so who are your friends?” I questioned just so I can get to know her friends too.

“Alright, This is Applejack,” she starts to gesture towards the girl with her own cowgirl boots and hat first then towards the other five.

“Howdy, it’s nice to meet ya James,” AJ said as I replied back nicely to her.

“And this is Rarity,” Sunset points to the purple haired girl with her purple skirt

“Hello Darling,” she says nicely with a what seems to be an English accent, then I greeted her back.

“Hey name is Rainbow Dash,” The rainbow haired girl says with a little raspy voice.

“Say aren’t you the one at that game who was able to score and break the tie at the last second?” I asked since I saw her at a soccer game that one time.

“Yeah, I guess you can say that I’m AWE—SOME!” Dash says as she does a sing-song on ‘Awesome’ as if she was bragging in a way.

“...Anyways, This is Pink.....”

“HiJamesmynameisPinkiePiehowisyourdaygoingSunsettoldusalotaboutyouisyourdaygoinggoodIknowmydayisgoinggoodsaywhatkindofcakeyoulikejustwonderingsoIcangetyoutherightkindofcakeforthrowingabirthdaypartyand...” Sunset successfully cut Pinkie Pie off as she shook my hand rapidly.

“Okay Pinkie Pie I think he gets it, As I was trying to say, that’s Pinkie and this is Fluttershy,” Sunset gestured me towards to the girl with light pink hair and a blue dress.

“Hi I’m James Thunder,” I introduced myself to Fluttershy with my hand out to shake hers.

“...Oh Hi...Hi I’m... Fluttershy,” she sounds super quiet the first time, then managed to speak up as she nervously put her hand out to shake mine.

“...Finally, This is Twilight Sparkle,” Sunset then goes to the girl with glasses and her hair tied into a bun.

“Hi, Sunset told me a lot about you, I think your chances of peaking the top spot of any music chart is a 52.7%,” I didn’t think she calculate the odds as I didn’t expect that percentage.

“Well I’m willing to take those odds then,” I say as I am willing to take that small risk.

“Alright, since you officially know everyone you’re a part of our friend group now,” I smiled right after Sunset said that.

“We should have a party at my house!” Pinkie beamed with happiness.

“Whoa Sugercube, maybe we should have the party at his house, that is if ya okay with that,” Applejack asks if I’m comfortable, then I said yes.

“That’s great we should go over at 6:00 if that’s okay with you,” Sunset asks this time
and I agreed once again.

“Cool maybe I can teach thing or two on guitar,”

“Sure RD,” I said to Rainbow Dash as I chuckled

At My House

It’s been two and a half hours since I got home and it’s about 5:30. I’ve already got the food and sodas ready and I have movies set up downstairs as I have video games upstairs. Now All I have to do is wait. Just waiting gets me bored normally but this time I’ll feel like I can wait anytime at all. There’s something about Sunset that I can’t get out of head. Her hair, her eyes, her face, her lines. I don’t know how I exactly feel, I have so many butterflies in my stomach, and I have so many mixed emotions. I pull out my songwriting book and started on a new page, I don’t know what to title it but I got a feeling that I’ll have an idea soon. I wrote the lyrics based off from the conversation Sunset and I had based some lyrics on love and most of my unexplained feelings. I just spent the 30 minutes I had writing another song, it seems that I already killed time and I wasn’t even bored out of my mind at all

It has been 30 minutes already and I heard the doorbell rang. Before I go downstairs to answer it I decided to change out of my clothes into a more casual look by wearing a plain white T-Shirt and some sweats. I then went downstairs to the door as I peak though the doors hole to see who was there, as I expected it was Sunset Shimmer along with Twilight, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash. They said that the others will come soon as soon as they help out Applejack with the extra snacks. As they came inside we already seemed to have started the party. It only took 15 more minutes for Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy to join us. We watching movies on the TV while some of us eat some of the food on the counter.

“This is a great party we have here James,” Sunset Shimmer complimented on the party

“Thanks it means a lot,” we were about half way through the movie, and Sunset leaned her head on my shoulder, then she seemed to have traced a circle a my leg. I saw what she was doing and I started to blush a little. Shit. Now I started to get hard, and my sweats almost seemed to show a bulge. I was saved by Pinkie Pie as she whistles out to all of us.

“Did you guys know James has a guitar over there?” Pinkie says.

“Yes I think we’ve noticed that Pinkie Pie,” Rainbow Dash says as she smacked her forehead with her hand.

“Say maybe ya should play a song for us Sugercube,” everyone seemed to agree with Applejack after she comments on it.

“Oh..... Okay then,” I picked up the Acoustic Guitar and tuned up the strings, I also put on headphones so I can play along with the music in them.

“I’m gonna do a little cover on a song called ‘Stay’..... it’s for my parents and my sister”.

As soon as I strummed the first chords on my guitar I sung the lyrics to the first verse of the song. I felt like I was there already... on stage performing in front of an audience.
It was only seven people but it was enough for me to consider it counted. I just sung in a soft voice as I strumed the correct chords on the guitar. The thing was actually given to me by my father since he used to play this to me every night when I was little. He gave it to me when I was only 9 and I practiced it everyday because it made me feel like he was still here. I closed my eyes and it gave me a little bit of chills from that feeling I opened them up again as I see them smiling at me while I’m performing. I even saw the sparkles Sunset’s teal blue eyes watching me, in which it encourages me to sing from my own heart. I sing the second verse and instantly rhymed word by word within the song and started to tilt my head left to right in rhythm of the song. I felt great that I was able to sing to them and actually sing about how I’m feeling. I really needed this since I feel like I can show who I am through music. As I’m finishing up the chorus I started to do the guitar solo. Some of the notes in the solo I improvised myself since it seems to feel right to me. I looked at Sunset one last time as I smiled at her hoping no one would look and she returns the smile. I felt my heart skip a beat as she smiled and almost got distracted by it. I go through the very last part of the song as I was about to wrap up pretty soon. As I strum the last notes on the guitar I slowly sung the last lyrics in a soft voice.

Everyone in the room clapped as they liked my performance.

“That was marvelous darling,” Rarity says politely

“Haven’t seen anyone that good since someone got ran over by a cow on stage,” Applejack says jokingly.

Everyone liked it, and I was proud. I guess things in my life that goes bad are just in the past. Well, things in life can turn around after all.
