Twenty years ago in the land of Remnant, a great battle between the forces of good and evil took place. The Evil witch Salem and her forces tried to conquer all of Remnant but four brave girls and their friends defeated her. Even with Salem, gone there were still Grimm. Now a new legend is about to be born.

At a Roller Derby Rink in Atlas, A girl with red hair along with a matching wolf tail wearing a black roller derby uniform with electric blue highlights on the edges with the name (Iron Fang Diva) written on it was skating past a couple of bigger girls and performed a spin that knocked them both down.

“ Looks like Akane the Iron Fang Diva just scored some major points with that double pivot of hers,” The announcer said as the girl knows as Akane takes the lap with her teammates behind her. As soon as the match ended Akane’s team was declared the winners. As Akane was on her way home the team that lost to her appeared.

“ Hey, wolf freak no one beats us and gets away with it,” The caption said as she was about to attack Akane. Akane sensed the attack and drew one of her twin blades and blocked the attack. Despite putting up a decent fight Akane’s assailants struck her hard.

“ Enough just leave me alone,” Akane shouted creating a glyph beneath her and caused it to send the girls flying into the walls. As soon as Akane looked she saw her attackers incapacitated and the Atlas Military arriving. Later Akane was arrested for assault and was being scolded by the women integrating her.

“ Talk about reckless and not to mention the number of strikes I counted missed. If it was up to me you would be in prison with your grandfather but your mom wants to talk to you,” The woman said before another woman with white hair styled in a braided side tail wearing a business suit came in and took a seat across from Akane.

“ I see you unlocked your semblance and by what your aunt said its the same as the rest of our family,” The woman said.

“ Do you think aunt winter hates me?” Akane asked.

“ She could never hate you leading the Atlas Military is a very demanding job and she can,t be seen playing favorites just because you are family,” The Woman said.

“ So what will happen to me now?” Akane asked.

“ Well, it’s obvious we are taking you out of Mantle Academy,” The woman said.

“ Please mom don,t do that I promise to never fight again,” Akane pleaded.

“ Now hold on who said I was punishing you quite the opposite I am recommending you for Beacon,” The woman said.

“ Are you sure? don,t I have to be seventeen to attend a huntsmen academy I am only sixteen,” Akane asked.

“ True but you know my Team Leader Ruby Rose she was only fifteen when she attended beacon I can still remember our first meeting and how we literally exploded. The Woman Said.

“ Thank you, Mom,” Akane said with joy.

“ Think nothing of it. Now let’s get out of here before your aunt decides to lock you up. As soon as Akane and her mother returned to the Schnee Manor Akane ran to her room to start packing. Akane packed most of her supply of dust along with some of her favorite outfits. After she was all packed her mom was waiting for her along with another woman with dark hair wearing a red hood.

“ Hey kiddo you grew since I have last seen you,” The women said while rubbing Akane’s head.

“ Ruby please don,t do that, Akane maybe a wolf fuanus but she is no house pet,” Akane’s Mom said.

“ Sorry Wiess I just can,t help myself, Ever since Zwei past away Akane just seems to help fill the void,” Ruby said.

“ Well, in any case, good to see you again miss Ruby I’m off to Beacon. Akane boarded the Aircraft in front of the Manor and left.

An hour later Akane arrives in front of a school with so many people and begins to look amazed. As she was walking she falls and her suitcase opens scattering all her bottles of dust. Akane tries to collect all of them in a frantic fashion thinking someone will steal them from her. After collecting most of them and putting them back in her suitcase a girl with short blonde hair with purple eyes wearing a pink version of one of her mom’s old dresses approached her.

“ I think this belongs to you,” The girl said handing Akane a bottle of Fire Dust that had Akane’s specific brand on it which was a red crescent moon with claw marks overlapping it.

“ Thanks if I lost these I would be at a huge disadvantage,” Akane said before closing her suitcase.

“ Are you a first-year student?” The girl asked.

“ I am,” Akane said.

“ So am I, my name is Sapphire what is yours?” Sapphire asked.

“ I’m Akane Schnee but most people just call me Akane,” Akane said.

“You’re a Schnee? Don,t people in the Schnee family usually have white hair and a snowflake as their emblem?” Sapphire asked.

“ The red hair is from my father’s side of the family and the emblem is my design. Because of me being a wolf fuanus and having red hair I’m not completely the same as my family,” Akane explained.

As they were talking Sapphire noticed the twin blades on Akane’s back. What kind of swords are those? I never saw anything like them?

“ This is Bloody Fang and there not just swords they are also a High Impact magnetic bow or in the words of my Mom’s team leader its also a bow,” Akane said.

“ Wow, and you made those yourself?” Sapphire asked.

“ Sure did so what kind of weapon do you have?” Akane asked.

“ I have these blade fans I prefer elegance over power as for what they turn into lets save that for another time,” Sapphire said.

“ Will all first-year students please report to the Amphora Theatre for orientation,” An announcement said.

“ Guess we better hurry before we get left behind,” Sapphire said.

As soon as all the First-Years were in the Theatre the new headmaster of Beacon walked to the podium to discuss what was about to happen.

“ Greetings everyone I am Head Master Oscar and I’m sure everyone is eager to unpack and settle in but first we must divide all of you into teams so allow me to explain how this works in the ruins of the Emerald Forest we hidden some relics and it’s your job to retrieve these relics but don,t think it will be easy the forest is crawling with Ursa and bio wolves and many other Grimm. And one last thing before we proceed to the cliffside upon landing you will be forming pairs with whoever you meet and those people will be your teammates for the next four years during your stay here at Beacon. After Oscar finished talking his assistant directed everyone to the exit towards the cliff.

As soon as everyone was gathered by the cliffside, Oscar, had everyone stand on what looked like a platform. After explaining what was about to happen the platforms sent everyone flying through the air. Akane pulled out her swords and stabbed them into the tree she was flying towards to stop falling. After pulling her swords out of the tree she used her glyphs to walk down safely.

“ Well, that was certainly unexpected now to find someone I can work well with,” Akane said before walking through the forest. As she was walking she suddenly heard the sound of a bio wolf growling and rushed over to where it was. As soon as she arrived she saw Sapphire fighting it and noticed how she uses dust to create elemental attacks when she waves her fans. After freezing the bio wolf with ice she sees Akane arrive.

“ Glad to see you made it without a scratch,” Sapphire said.

“ You too that launching us through the air part was unexpected,” Akane said.

“ Beacon has always had that tradition guess it’s their way of seeing what we can do,” Sapphire said as the two of them proceeded.

Meanwhile back on the cliff, Oscar’s assistant was looking over her tablet and saw that Akane and Sapphire paired up together.

“ Looks like our first pair is Akane Schnee and Sapphire Diamond,” The assistant said.

“ Something tells me those two will be perfect together Glenda,” Oscar said.

Meanwhile, on the eastern side of the Forest, A girl with white skin, short brown hair and blue eyes wearing an Azure colored Chinese style dress was walking when she heard a loud growl from behind her. She turned around and was shocked to see an Ursa behind her.

“ I have no idea where you just came from but when I am through with you your toast,” the girl said. Before she could draw her weapon a Blue and Yellow Thunderbolt streak struck the Ursa and sent it flying through the trees. The streak revealed to be a girl with light Turquoise skin, Long brilliant Amber colored hair with gold stripes, Eyes of the same color and was wearing a bomber jacket with a black leather skirt.

“ You must one of those girls from Eques I been hearing about,” The white girl said.

“Sure am the names, Lightning Dust and you are?” Lightning asked.

“ I’m Blanc and how did you get here so fast?” Blanc asked.

“ My semblance is speed so naturally I would be here in a flash,” Lightning said. As they were walking more people were making pairs. While some were busy fighting Grimm others were making their way to the ruins. Back with Akane and Sapphire, they arrived at a clearing with some ruins with twelve pedestals some with nothing on them while others had chess pieces on them.

“ Looks like we weren’t the only ones here,” Akane said.

“ Seems that way any idea which one we should take?” Sapphire asked. Akane looked at the remaining pieces and picked up a white knight.

“ How about a cute pony,” Akane said mimicking Yang’s line from years ago. As soon as both Akane and Sapphire claimed both of the white knight pieces Blanc and Lightning arrived while being chased by what looked like a Snake Grimm.

“ Why do these places always contain insane amounts of Grimm?” Blanc asked to herself.

“ Who cares more enemies for me to fight,” Lightning said. Blanc had enough fighting and reminded Lightning about what the actual objective was. Fine but if we get attacked again I’m breaking loose. As soon as Blanc and Lightning claimed there relics a huge condor swooped down.

“ Well, Lightning you ready to break loose?” Blanc said.

“ Always am,” Lightning said before using her wings to take off like a bullet.

“ Wait you can,t rush in there recklessly we need a plan,” Blanc said.

“ I may have one that is if you’re ok with teaming up,” Akane said.

“ At this point, it may be our best option,” Blanc said as Lightning was sent back to the ground hard. Akane pulled her to the side with Blanc and Sapphire.

“ Lightning do you think you can carry me as high as you can?” Akane asked.

“ Try me but what do you plan to do?” Lightning asked.

“ You will see, Sapphire can you and Blanc keep the condor busy?”

“ You can count on us,” Lightning grabbed Akane and took off like a rocket while Sapphire and Blanc kept the Condor busy. As soon as Lightning reached her limit Akane had her bow ready and loaded. Lightning released Akane and as she was freefalling she unleashed three arrows that were armed with Electric Dust that nailed the Condor and stopped it from moving. Akane then switched back to Twin Sword mode and decapitated the Condor.

“ That was awesome the way you nailed that condor from five hundred feet in the air and then decapitated it,” Lightning said with joy.

“ How did you know that would work?” Sapphire asked.

“ Back in Atlas, I did a lot of archery training in intense conditions plus with some of my other abilities that we fuanus have and some Atlas Technology I am the Ultimate Sniper,” Akane said.

Later everyone was back in the Theatre with Oscar announce the teams.

Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Nori Pearl, you four retrieved the Black Bishop pieces so from this day you will be known as Team SNST lead by Sunset Shimmer. Everyone cheered before the next four that passed came up. Raven Winchester, Amber Belladonna, Kinro Swordsworth, Ginro Shelden, you four retrieve the white rook pieces so from this day you will be known as Team KRAG lead by Kinro Swordsworth. After Team KRAG left the stage it was now Akane and her friend’s turn. And finally Akane Schnee, Sapphire Diamond, Blanc Frost, Lightning Dust, you four retrieved the white knight pieces so from this day you will be known as Team ABSL lead by Akane Schnee.

“ Me team leader I don’t know,” Akane said.

“ Come on girl you so deserve it,” Blanc said.

“ Yeah, that plan you came up with to use my speed and flight to attack that condor from the sky was brilliant,” Lightning said.

“ We have complete faith in you so lead us well Akane,” Sapphire said.

“ Thanks, girls I couldn’t have wished for better friends than you,” Akane said.

“ I hope you’re watching Ozpin because it looks like the next generation is going to be a good one,” Oscar said to himself.
