Celestia and Luna Go To An Alternative Timeline
Wait. An alternate universe where everything is the opposite?
When Twilight Sparkle returned to her castle, she heard a door click open. “Twilight, where were you? I searched for you all over the castle,” said Spike.
“Hi Spike,” greeted Twilight Sparkle. “I just traveled for an alternate timeline.”
“But you had been traveling a day ago. I was already worried,” said Spike.
“I know, Spike,” said Twilight Sparkle. “And I’m sorry I didn’t warn you, would you like to hear how it went?”
“Sure, Twilight,” Spike replied with a smile.
Twilight Sparkle and Spike went into a room that they had in the castle, they sat on a couch and Twilight Sparkle told Spike what her adventure was like.
“What was this alternate universe like, Twilight?” asked Spike.
“He’s very different from ours, Spike.” Twilight Sparkle looked to the side. She was still a little shocked that the Celestia from the alternate universe had an evil side.
“How different is it?”
“How should I start?”
“How about starting to talk about what ponies look like?”
Twilight Sparkle smiled. “Well, the ponies haven’t changed that much. The only differences from the ponies is that Sunset Shimmer lives in Equestria and not in Canterlot High, her friends are six mares without being my friends…”
Spike was a little surprised, but then smiled. “What’s so bad about it, Twilight? Perhaps in this alternate universe Sunset Shimmer has never become against Princess Celestia.”
Twilight Sparkle was sweating nervously. “That’s not the problem, Spike. The problem is that Luna is the ruler of Equestria and Celestia is the Co-Regent!”
Spike was surprised and open-mouthed, literally, but soon recovered. “But ... shouldn’t it be the opposite?”
“I know, Spike. I thought about that too at the time. But do you know why Luna was the ruler of Equestria instead of Luna?” said Twilight Sparkle.
Spike shook his head. “Luna had to banish Celestia, but known as Daybreaker!”
Spike was scared. “What? Does Celestia have a dark side? But I always thought Luna was the only one who would have a dark side after you defeated Nightmare Moon.”
“I thought so too, Spike.” Twilight Sparkle looked to the side.
Spike was no longer scared, just curious. “But what made her become Daybreaker?”
“I don’t know, Spike. But Luna told me that it’s a long story,” replied Twilight. “But I’m hoping never to witness the princess become Daybreaker in my life.”
“Twilight, are there any other things they have in this alternate universe?” asked Spike.
“Yes Spike, Sunset Shimmer has a baby dragon just like me,” replied Twilight Sparkle.
“What’s his name?”
Twilight Sparkle was silent for a few seconds. “... Garble.”
Spike’s mouth fell open again. “What? But this can’t be the same adult dragon that stays in dragonland!”
“Spike, I could see and realize that he’s not the same kind of dragon here. He seems to have a personality like yours,” said Twilight Sparkle.
Spike was afraid. “Wait! If Garble is me on that alternate timeline… does that mean I’m the badass dragon?!”
“Calm down, Spike, that’s just an alternate universe. It’s not real, ok? You’ll always be to me the kind dragon that all ponies know.” Twilight Sparkle hugged Spike.
“What if I ever become Garble on our timeline?” Spike asked in fear.
“You will never be like him, Spike. Believe me.” smiled Twilight Sparkle.
“Do you think so, Twilight?” Spike smiled a little.
“Yes, Spike.”
Spike left the hug. “Are there any more changes in this alternate universe?”
“Yes. There, the ponies are nocturnal,” replied Twilight Sparkle.
Spike was surprised, but soon recovered. “Well, maybe that explains why of Luna is the ruler of Equestria.”
Twilight Sparkle got nervous. “Wait, Spike. So the reason Celestia became Daybreaker was because her day wasn’t appreciated?”
“It can be, Twilight. But was there any change in this alternate universe?” said Spike.
“Yes, Spike. And this next one will make you pass out,” Twilight Sparkle made a break. “Chrysalis is the princess of love and the princess of the Crystal Empire.”
Spike was startled and surprised. “Wait. So if Chrysalis is Princess Cadence then Cadence is Queen of Changelings?!”
Twilight Sparkle was startled when Spike said that. She hadn’t thought of that. When Twilight Sparkle saw Chrysalis in pony form, she thought Cadence ruled along with Chrysalis.
“Just thinking about it makes me scared of that timeline’s Cadence.” Twilight Sparkle lifted her hoove as she looked to the side.
“Was there anything else you saw?” asked Spike.
“Yes. Celestia turned Daybreaker! Spike, I was very scared. When Luna told Sunset Shimmer that Celestia became Daybreaker, I felt traumatized. But when I realized that the girls had the Elements of Harmony, I thought they would banish Celestia into the sun!”
“Twilight please stop crying.”
Twilight Sparkle realized that she was crying. She wiped her tears with a hoof. “I’m sorry, Spike.”
“It’s alright, Twilight. And what happened next?” asked Spike.
“I heard Daybreaker’s scream and ran as far as the sound came from.”
“Where was Daybreaker?”
“In Luna’s room. She was trapped in a shield made by Luna.”
Spike was worried. “And she attacked you?”
“No, Spike. She just looked at me curiously and asked who I was,” answered Twilight Sparkle.
“What did you do next, Twilight?” asked Spike.
“I tried to remove the shield with my magic, but failed. Then I heard footsteps and saw Sunset Shimmer with her friends and Luna.”
“And what did you do, Twilight?”
“I asked Luna to release Celestia.”
“And did Luna let Celestia go?”
“No. Sunset Shimmer told me that Celestia from that timeline was Daybreaker. I denied what Sunset Shimmer said. I even threatened Luna if she didn’t release Celestia.”
Spike was surprised and put both paws as if to say “stop!” “Wait! Wait! Did you threaten an Equestria princess just to release a threat?”
“Spike, Celestia isn’t a threat! Are you saying that Celestia is a tyrant who pretends to be a benevolent ruler?!”
“What? No, Twilight. I’m just referring to Daybreaker. I would never see Celestia as evil. Never!” said Spike.
“But Spike, Daybreaker is practically Celestia!” Twilight Sparkle panicked. “Wait! If I see Daybreaker as a threat then it means that I see Celestia threat!”
Twilight Sparkle put her head on the couch. “I don’t even know anymore…”
Spike put a paw on Twilight Sparkle. “Calm down, Twilight. Celestia will never become evil.”
Twilight Sparkle looked at Spike as she cried. “But… what if she really becomes Daybreaker, Spike? I don’t even know if I could fight against Celestia…”
“Twilight, look at me.” Twilight Sparkle looked at Spike. “Do you trust me?”
“Y-yes, Spike,” replied Twilight Sparkle through her tears.
“Then trust me that Celestia will not become Daybreaker!”
“I don’t know, Spike. What if she turns evil?”
“Twilight, there’s no way that Celestia will turn evil!”
Twilight Sparkle looked uncertain. Spike sighed. “Twilight, let’s do something to forget about this?”
“Yes Spike, but first I need to write a letter to Celestia about this alternate timeline,” said Twilight Sparkle.
Celestia and Luna Go To An Alternative Timeline
Reaching the alternate timeline
Celestia was sitting on her throne, signing important papers until a letter came to her. Celestia stopped what she was doing and took the letter to read.
“Dear Princess Celestia, I used a time travel spell to travel to other timelines to learn more about pony life. But I got into an alternate timeline where everything is the opposite. Luna is the ruler of Equestria and not you, Sunset Shimmer is a student of Luna and has friends, Chrysalis is the princess of love and the Crystal empire and the ponies are nocturnal. I really don’t understand how there could be a timeline like that. Anyway, I just wanted to share an experience that occurred. Signed Twilight Sparkle.”
“PS: I saw the alternate Celestia alter ego. I need a lot of help to calm down beyond Spike.
Celestia was nothing more than surprised. She never imagined that there would be a timeline where Luna was ruler of Equestria and not her. But she was worried when Twilight Sparkle witnessed an evil side of her alternate self. But she knew Luna would be glad to hear of this timeline, except the part that was Celestia who had become evil. Maybe she could convince Luna to go to Twilight Castle to look for a spell that allows them to travel the alternate timelines and also talk to Twilight Sparkle about it. Celestia knew it was still daylight. So, Luna would be sleeping. She decided she would wait for Luna to wake up.
After five hours, Luna woke up to raise the moon. She got out of bed, straightened the blanket, and went to the balcony. She realized that the sun had already been lowered, so she used her magic to lift the moon. While doing so, the color of the sky changed from yellow and orange to navy blue. Then put stars. That done, she went to the door and realized that Celestia was waiting for her. The white alicorn smiled. “Sister? May I know why you were waiting for me at the door?”
“Luna, can we go to see Twilight Sparkle at the Friendship Castle?” asked Celestia.
“Of course we can, Sister. But can we have dinner first?”
“Of course, Luna.”
Twilight Sparkle and Spike were having pasta dinner. Twilight was still trying to get Celestia’s suit off the alternate timeline. Twilight Sparkle didn’t even know if she could sleep well after that. Twilight wanted to have written in the letter about Celestia’s alter ego from the alternate timeline.
“Twilight, are you feeling better?” asked Spike.
“No, Spike,” replied Twilight Sparkle.
“Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?”
“I don’t know, Spike. I don’t even know how I am going to forget that Daybreaker and Celestia have a bad side.”
“Twilight, Celestia would never become evil.”
Twilight Sparkle was almost crying. “But what if she becomes?”
“She won’t become evil, Twilight.”
Suddenly, they heard a knocking sound. Spike went to the door and saw the two princesses of Equestria. “Princess Celestia! Princess Luna! What are you two doing here?”
“I got the letter from Twilight,” replied Celestia, “and i decided to invite Luna to come here to try to find the time travel spell.”
Spike looked a little unsure. “Come on in, princesses.”
Celestia and Luna entered. Luna rode ahead and Celestia behind.
“Ah. And Celestia.” Celestia looked back. “Could you talk to Twilight? Twilight is still a little nervous about what she saw in the timeline.”
“Of course, Spike.” Celestia walked back. Spike closed the door before following the princesses.
“Spike, how is Twilight?” Celestia looked at Spike.
“Twilight was fine until she saw something that made her scared,” Spike replied.
Celestia was worried. “Could you tell me what made her scared?”
Spike looked a little unsure. “I don’t know if Twilight would want me to tell you. I think she prefers to talk to you alone. ”
“I understand, Spike.”
“Princesses?” they looked ahead and watched Twilight Sparkle run to Celestia.
“Glad you could come. I really need to talk to you.” Twilight Sparkle was crying.
“Twilight, why are you crying?” asked Celestia, worried.
Twilight Sparkle left the hug. “Well princess, I’d love to talk about it now, but can we talk when we’re alone?”
Celestia smiled. “Of course, Twilight.”
Celestia and Twilight Sparkle returned to walk. Arriving where dinner was taking place, they realized that Luna was already there. Luna realized that Twilight was sad. “Twilight? It’s all right?”
Twilight Sparkle looked at Luna. “As much as I would like to speak to you, Luna. I prefer to talk to Celestia only. ”
“I understand.” Luna felt a little sad that Twilight preferred Celestia more than she. But Luna sometimes wished she that had somepony that liked her and was faithful to her.
Celestia saw two plates and a pan of pasta. “Did we interrupt you at dinner? Are you upset?”
“Imagine, princess. Your companies would never bother me,” said Twilight Sparkle.
“Twilight, would you like to finish eating before you help us?” Luna lifted a hoof.
Twilight Sparkle looked at Luna. “No, princess Luna. You guys are more important than my dinner.”
“Twilight, you can eat your dinner first. We’re not in a hurry,” said Celestia.
“I know princess. But I always think about others more than myself,” said Twilight Sparkle.
Celestia smiled. “Well if so, could you hand us the time travel spell?”
“Sure princess, but why do you need him?” Twilight Sparkle was curious.
“We’d like to travel to that same alternate timeline you went,” replied Celestia. “Do you know where it are?”
“Yes princess, he is here,” Twilight Sparkle handed the scroll with the time travel spell. “Will you go now? Or will you wait until the next day?”
“We are going now,” replied Celestia.
Luna looked a little insecure. “Sister, do you think we better not wait until day comes? I have royal duties.”
“Don’t worry, Luna. We’ll only be there for a few days. And I’m sure you’ll love it,” said Celestia.
“I hope so,” said Luna.
“Princess, before you go, when you return can I talk to you?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Of course yes.” Twilight Sparkle and Celestia embraced.
As they left the embrace, the three mares went to the throne room. Celestia looked at Twilight Sparkle. “Twilight, how do you activate the time travel spell?”
“Simple princess, just get on the crystal table,” replied Twilight, “and activate the time travel spell.”
“Aren’t we going to break the map, Twilight?” asked Luna, worried.
“Of course not, Luna,” replied Twilight. “Spike had already climbed there and caused no damage to the map.”
Celestia looked at Luna. “Come on, Luna?”
“Yes, sister,” replied Luna.
Celestia and Luna climbed on top and used the spell to activate. Wind began to come and a hole appeared in the ceiling. Celestia and Luna were sucked in and entered the hole.
Celestia and Luna saw several alternative timelines. There was that of King Sombra, Queen Chrysalis, Nightmare Moon, Discord, Flim and Flam, and Tirek. When Luna saw Nightmare Moon’s, she felt ashamed of herself. But then, they went, against her own wishes ended up stopping in the throne room, they were on the ceiling and were falling to the floor, they tried to fly and succeeded. They looked around and saw that the throne room wasn’t red in color but dark blue in color.
“I loved this throne room, Sister!” said Luna excitedly.
“It’s pretty,” said Celestia.
“Beautiful? This throne room is a hundred times better than our throne room!” Luna went to the throne to sit down. “Am I in this timeline the ruler of Equestria?”
“Technically yes, Luna,” replied Celestia. “But know that it isn’t you who rules here, but your self from that alternate timeline.”
Luna looked a little sad about that, but then smiled. “Does the self in this alternate timeline look the same as me?”
“I think so, Luna,” replied Celestia. “I think we better get out of the castle before our versions of this alternate timeline think we’re Changelings.”

Knowing Sunset Shimmer from the Alternative Timeline
By the time Celestia and Luna arrived in Ponyville, night had come. Luna and Celestia landed on the floor. Luna couldn’t help but notice the ponies awake at night. It made her very happy, both because the ponies enjoyed the night and were nocturnal. Luna has always thought that Bat Ponies were the only night ponies, but it seems that in this timeline everypony sleeps during the day and stays up at night. While Luna was happy, Celestia was confused. Celestia didn’t understand why the ponies in this timeline preferred to stay up at night. The day is for the ponies to play and the night for sleep.
“Sister, I’m seeing the Golden Oka’s Tree Library!” Luna pointed to the library with a hoof.
Celestia smiled. Did Twilight Sparkle on this timeline still live in the library? She hoped so. They approached the library. Luna and Celestia looked at each other. “Should I knock, Sister?”
“If you want, Luna,” said Celestia.
Luna knocked on the door with a hoof. Footsteps were heard. Celestia expected to see Twilight Sparkle, but it wasn’t Twilight Sparkle that answered.
“Princesses! Do you two need something? Would you like to come in?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“We don’t need anything, Sunset Shimmer. We came here to spend the days with you,” Luna replied.
Sunset Shimmer smiled. “Really? Then can come in. Garble is making breakfast. Feel free to explore the library. In the meantime, I make your beds.”
Luna smiled. “Of course, Sunset.”
Sunset Shimmer stepped inside and climbed the stairs. Luna stepped inside and looked back. Celestia hadn’t moved a hoove, her expression seemed to be one of sadness. Luna, worried, went to Celestia. “Sister? What happened? Why this face?”
“I was expecting to see Twilight Sparkle at the Golden Oka’s Tree Library. I wonder where she must be… ” replied Celestia sadly.
“Sister, don’t be sad. Sunset may not be one of your students who stayed true to you until the end, but at least she was the first pony that was your student,” Luna said with a smile.
Celestia managed to smile. “You’re right, Luna. It’s just that Twilight Sparkle always saw me as a mother and I always saw her as my daughter, that seeing Sunset Shimmer in place of Twilight made me a little sad.”
“Are you wanting us to return to our original timeline?”
Celestia was surprised. “What? No, Luna.”
Sunset Shimmer descended the stairs. “Princesses, I’ve already arranged your two beds.”
Celestia and Luna looked at Sunset Shimmer with a smile. “Thank you, Sunset.”
“Come on, princesses, come in.” Sunset Shimmer smiled before going to a chair.
Celestia and Luna went to where Sunset Shimmer was. Luna sat next to Sunset Shimmer. Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna. “Princess, how are things in Canterlot?”
Luna was surprised. No ponies ever called her “Princess,” ponies always called Celestia “Princess,” it was as if this Sunset Shimmer was loyal to her. “It’s going well, Sunset Shimmer. And to you? How are things in Ponyville for you?”
“They’re doing good too, princess. Garble is trying hard to win Sunny Flare’s heart this week,” Sunset replied. “Although Sunny Flare doesn’t seem to notice, I always encourage him to keep trying.”
Luna was confused. “Who is Sunny Flare?”
“It’s a Ponyville fashion designer unicorn, princess,” Sunset answered, now confused by Luna’s question. “Princess, I don’t mean to offend you, but why did you ask me that?”
Luna was sweating. “Well, I had forgotten who she was.”
Sunset Shimmer smiled. “Oh. Ok princess, no problem.”
Celestia was nothing but surprised to see Sunset Shimmer and Luna get along. It was like this Sunset Shimmer preferred Luna over her.
“Sunset! Lunch’s ready!” Garble came out of the kitchen with a plate of pancakes, but stopped when he saw Celestia and Luna. Garble fought to not drop the plate. “Princesses? What are you doing here? Do you intend to spend a few days here?”
“Yes, dragon.”
“Garble.”
“Yes, Garble.”
As much as Sunset Shimmer wanted to ask why Luna had called Garble dragon since the princess had known Garble’s name since she chose the name, she decided not to. Because she tried to imagine that Luna had forgotten to be too busy with royal duties.
“Should I prepare two more pancakes for the princesses, Sunset?” asked Garble.
“Sure, Garble.” Smiled Sunset Shimmer.
Garble set the plate of pancakes on the table before returning to the kitchen. Luna was curious. “Sunset, is Garble your slave?”
Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna in surprise. “What? No princess, he’s just my assistant.”
Luna smiled. “It’s all right, Sunset Shimmer. I’m not saying that angrily.”
Sunset Shimmer smiled. “How nice. For a moment I thought you were mad at me.”
Celestia was quiet all the time. She couldn’t believe Sunset Shimmer was preferring to talk to Luna more than her. Why? Sunset Shimmer was her student.
Garble came out of the kitchen with two plates of pancakes and set them on the table. Garble sat next to Celestia. While Sunset Shimmer ate, she stroked Luna with her head. Luna couldn’t deny that she loved feeling it. No one has ever shown feelings of loyalty or love to her. While Celestia looked sad, she wanted Twilight to have here instead of Sunset Shimmer.
After they had finished eating, Sunset Shimmer invited Luna to read a book with her and Luna gladly accepted. Celestia watched Sunset Shimmer pick a book off the shelf before sitting on the floor, Luna did the same and began reading with a smile. It was like Sunset Shimmer was her student. Celestia felt she should be in Luna’s shoes. She wanted Sunset Shimmer to spend more time with her than with Luna. But why did she feel that? Was she jealous? Celestia decided to go to the balcony. She saw the full moon in the sky and let out a breath. At first, she thought this alternative timeline would be good, but it looks like she was wrong. In this timeline, it seemed that everypony had their eyes on Luna and that everypony would prefer night than day. Was it wrong for her to feel that?
After Luna and Sunset Shimmer had finished reading, they decided to leave Golden Oka’s Tree Library for a walk. Celestia watched Luna leave with Sunset Shimmer. She wanted to cry because this Sunset Shimmer preferred Luna more than she did.
Where are you, Twilight Sparkle of the alternate timeline?
Luna and Sunset Shimmer were strolling in Ponyville. They had smiles on their faces. Luna was nothing more than happy.
This can only be a dream. There is a pony who is loyal to me and seems to like me. I wonder if Celestia could let me to live here.
The two mares arrived at the park and decided to sit under a tree. They watched the moon.
“Princess, I love your night,” smiled Sunset Shimmer. “I always wake up early to enjoy the night.”
“I’m happy about that, Sunset Shimmer,” said Luna.
The sun was rising over the horizon and Celestia was still on the balcony. She felt like crying. Until she heard a voice coming from behind her. “Princess Celestia, is everything all right?”
Celestia looked back and saw Garble worried. “No.”
“What’s up, princess?” asked Garble.
“I feel that Sunset Shimmer prefers Luna more than me,” replied Celestia.
“Princess, I’m so sorry you’re feeling this. Is there anything I can do to cheer you up?” asked Garble.
“No, Garble,” replied Celestia.
Suddenly, they heard the sound of the door opening and closing. Celestia and Garble went downstairs and saw Sunset Shimmer and Luna with smiles. Sunset Shimmer felt that she had somepony else besides Luna and looked up the stairs to see Garble and Celestia. “Ah. Garble, could you go to make the dinner, please?”
Garble smiled. “Yes, Sunset.”
Sunset Shimmer and Luna went to the table to continue talking. Celestia knew this Sunset Shimmer was loyal to Luna, but she wanted the yellow unicorn to talk to her too.
“Did you have fun today, Princess?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Yes, Sunset,” replied Luna, smiling. “What have you been doing before Celestia and I came here?”
“Days ago, I spent time with my friends,” replied Sunset Shimmer. “But today, I stayed at the Golden Oka’s Tree Library.”
“What did you do at Golden Oka’s Tree Library, Sunset Shimmer?” asked Luna.
“I kept reading a bit in my free time,” Sunset replied. “Although reading isn’t my hobby, it’s the only thing I can do being here.”
Garble came out of the kitchen with a pan of pasta. Celestia decided to sit down too. Luna stared at the pan pan, before putting some pasta on the plate and getting started to eat. Celestia did the same. Sunset Shimmer looked at her plate before starting to eat. Luna smiled as she watched Sunset Shimmer eat.
Celestia and Luna Go To An Alternative Timeline
When the next night came, Sunset Shimmer woke up happy because she was going to spend an entire night with her former foalsitter, Princess Chrysalis. Sunset Shimmer looked at the princesses and saw that they were still sleeping, she decided to let the alicorns sleep. Sunset Shimmer also saw that Garble was still sleeping, she decided to go out to the train station to see if Chrysalis had arived . But before leaving, Sunset Shimmer decided to write to Garble and the princesses she left the library. As she left, Sunset Shimmer looked around and saw that it already had ponies awake, some were doing their jobs, others walking and others just watching the stars. Sunset Shimmer intended to wait for Chrysalis at the train station. Chrysalis had told Sunset that she would be coming early in the evening, and the unicorn was too excited to spend the whole day with her old foalsitter.
When Sunset Shimmer arrived at the train station, she realized it had few ponies. Sunset Shimmer looked around for the train. She started to get worried. Has Chrysalis Forgotten? A train sound was heard, Sunset Shimmer looked left and saw a crystal train approaching. When the train came to a halt, two royal crystal guards came: One was brown with yellow armor and the other was bright purple. From inside the train came a white-haired, golden-haired alicornic mare. Sunset Shimmer smiled. “Chrysalis!”
Chrysalis saw Sunset Shimmer and went to her. Sunset Shimmer did the same. “Moonlight, moonlight! Butterflies awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!” they both laughed happily before walking to the Golden Oka’s Tree Library.
“How is life in the Crystal Empire with Sunburst, Chrysalis?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“It’s alright, Sunset,” replied Chrysalis. “He’s been helping me a lot since we got married.”
“How did he react when you said you was going here?”
“He was a little sad about having to be alone, but I told him it would be for just one night.”
As Sunset Shimmer headed toward the Golden Oka’s Tree Library, many of the ponies bowed to Chrysalis, even though the white alicorn isn’t a Canterlot princess just like Celestia and Luna.
“I can’t wait to see my aunt Luna, Sunset.” Chrysalis smiled.
Sunset Shimmer looked at Chrysalis. “Is Luna your aunt?”
“Yes, Sunset. Luna adopted me and made me her student,” replied Chrysalis. “When Luna saw that my magic was very good, she made me an alicorn.”
“You should see her as a mother to you,” said Sunset Shimmer.
“Well Sunset, she’s just my aunt, but sometimes she treats me like I’m her daughter,” said Chrysalis. “And you, Sunset?”
“Luna treats me like I’m her daughter too,” smiled Sunset Shimmer. “It’s this motherly way of Luna that makes me like her and admire her.”
Sunset Shimmer opened the door with her magic. Celestia, Luna, and Garble had already woken up. Garble was making breakfast and Celestia and Luna were talking. Chrysalis smiled at the sight of Luna. “Aunt Luna!”
Luna looked where the voice came from and saw a white mare and green mane. When Luna saw the mare’s mane, she recognized who it was.
Chrysalis!
Chrysalis rushed to Luna to hug her. “I missed you, Aunt Luna.”
Luna was nothing more than surprised. Was this Chrysalis from this alternate timeline good? But she smiled because at least one villain was good. Luna hugged Chrysalis back. While Celestia was shocked that if Chrysalis was good it meant Cadence was the evil queen of the Changelings. Celestia just wouldn’t talk because Sunset Shimmer and Chrysalis would find it suspicious that she didn’t know that.
Chrysalis left the hug. “Have you, Sunset and Celestia ever eaten?”
“No, Chrysalis. Garble is making the food,” said Luna.
Garble came out of the kitchen with three plates of pancakes and set them on the table. Seeing Chrysalis he smiled. “Oh. Hi Princess Chrysalis, would you like me to make a pancake for you to eat?”
“No need, Garble, I ate before I came here,” Chrysalis replied.
“Fine then.” Garble sat down to eat his pancake.
Sunset Shimmer and Luna sat together and Celestia sat next to Garble again. Chrysalis decided to stand waiting for Sunset Shimmer.
After Sunset Shimmer had finished eating, she went to Chrysalis. Luna watched with a smile as Celestia seemed possibly a little suspicious that this Chrysalis was an undercover Changeling. But before Sunset Shimmer left, she went to Luna to give a hug goodbye before leaving with Chrysalis.
“So Chrysalis, what are we going to do today?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“I’d like to do what you would like to do, Sunset,” replied Chrysalis.
“Well then, can we go to the Crystal Empire to see my brother?”
“Of course, Sunset. If that’s what you want.”
Arriving at the train station, the two mares saw the train. It had a line of ponies, luckily the line wasn’t so long. Sunset Shimmer looked at Chrysalis. “Chrysalis, what was Sunburst doing at the moment while you left?”
“He must be taking care of the crystal castle so that no threats enter the castle,” Chrysalis replied.
Suddenly, a black alicorn mare with light blue armor appeared in the sky. “Attention, subjects!” all the ponies around stopped walking and looking at the mare. “If you find a clone of my weaker self, bring her to me.” the ponies were confused, they didn’t understand what this mare was talking about. The mare got angry. “The clone is my weaker self: Princess Luna.”
Sunset Shimmer gaped when the mare said. But seeing Cutie Mark from the moon, she knew who this mare could be. Sunset Shimmer went to the mare. “Princess Luna?!”
The mare looked at Sunset Shimmer. “I am not Princess Luna. I’m Nightmare Moon!”
Sunset Shimmer felt like crying. Why did her mentor turn evil? “Why, Princess?”
Nightmare Moon landed on the floor and placed a hoof on Sunset Shimmer’s chin. “My dear student, don’t you realize that the princesses who are with you don’t belong here?”
Sunset Shimmer took a few steps back. “No… it couldn’t be true…”
“Sunset, I saw them fall from the ceiling through a hole that appeared in the ceiling. They aren’t the real Luna and Celestia here,” said Nightmare Moon.
Sunset Shimmer still looked puzzled by what Nightmare Moon said. She didn’t know what to say. “Sunset Shimmer,” began Nightmare Moon. Sunset Shimmer looked at Nightmare Moon and the alicorn offered a hoof. “Join me and together we can eliminate the false princesses.”
“No ... there has to be another way ...” said Sunset Shimmer. “I’m sure if we talk to them…”
“Sunset, they are faking all the time. Even if you told them to leave, they wouldn’t,” said Nightmare Moon.
“It can’t be true…” Sunset Shimmer was crying a lot now.
“But it’s true, Sunset. So, will you join me?” said Nightmare Moon.

Celestia and Luna Go To An Alternative Timeline
Gathering the carriers of the Elements of Harmony
Celestia and Luna were still at the Golden Oka’s Tree Library. Garble had gone out to see Sunny Flare. They were discussing whether or not to go back to the original timeline they came from.
“Sister, this is the best place! Everypony loves my night and stays up here!”
“Luna, they may stay up at night here, but we can’t live here.”
Luna was confused. “But why not?”
“Because as much as we like this timeline, we can’t stay here because we don’t belong here,” Celestia replied. “Luna, we don’t belong here. We need to leave before anypony finds out we’re not from here.”
Suddenly the door opened revealing Sunset Shimmer and Chrysalis. Luna went to Sunset Shimmer. “Sunset, why did you return so early? Have you hang out with Chrysalis or got tired?”
Sunset Shimmer was quiet. She didn’t know what to say. “We need to talk, princess.”
“About what, Sunset?” asked Luna.
“I saw Nightmare Moon, princess,” replied Sunset. Luna was worried to hear the word “Nightmare Moon”. “And she told me that you and Celestia don’t belong here. Is this true? Is it true that you aren’t the real Celestia and Luna from here and did you two come from an alternate timeline?”
Luna and Celestia looked uncertain. Sunset Shimmer waited for an answer patiently. Chrysalis was trying to cheer up Sunset Shimmer. Sunset Shimmer looked down. “I’ll take that as a yes…”
“Are you mad at us?” asked Luna.
Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna. “Well Princess Luna, I’m a little upset that you two have hidden the truth from me, but I can see your side. You both thought I’d be mad and kick you out of the library for thinking you were Changelings.”
“So, that mare named Nightmare Moon is actually Princess Luna from here?” Chrysalis asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Technically, Chrysalis,” replied Sunset Shimmer.
“But why did she turn evil, Sunset?”
“I don’t know, Chrysalis. But we have to save the princess from the darkness in her. ”
“How, Sunset?”
“With the Elements of Harmony. But first we need to find my friends.”
Sunny Flare made a dress, she used the sewing machine, next to her was Garble holding fabric, he made a face in love. Sunny Flare took the fabric and put it on the mannequin. Sunny Flare picked up a pink fabric that Garble was holding. “Garble, thank you so much for helping me.”
“My pleasure, Sunny Flare.” Garble’s passionate face didn’t waver.
Suddenly they heard a knock on the door. The two went to the door and saw Sunset Shimmer with his crown and holding a chest with the other Elements of Harmony, beside her, was Chrysalis, Celestia and Luna. Sunset Shimmer handed Sunny Flare her necklace. “Sunny Flare, here is your Element of Harmony.”
Sunny Flare was confused. “Sunset, what is going on?”
Sunset Shimmer was a little unsure. “It’s the princess, Sunny Flare. She turned into Nightmare Moon for unknown reasons and now we need to use the Elements of Harmony on her.”
Sunny Flare looked at Luna before looking back at Sunset Shimmer. “But darling, Princess Luna is right there.”
Sunset Shimmer knew she needed to tell the truth, she just hoped Sunny Flare didn’t say that the princesses who were with her were actually Changelings. “Sunny Flare, do you promise to not freak out?”
Sunny Flare was confused. “But freaking out about what, Sunset?”
“Sunny Flare, the princesses who are with me right now don’t belong here, they are from another timeline,” confessed Sunset Shimmer.
“Wait! So that means… our princess Luna here really became Nightmare Moon?! But… what about Princess Celestia?” Sunny Flare asked, startled.
“I don’t know where Princess Celestia is, Sunny Flare,” replied Sunset Shimmer. “Maybe she hid or ...”
“What if she turned into Daybreaker again, Sunset Shimmer?” asked Sunny Flare in fear.
“Sunny, the Elements of Harmony destroyed her. There is no way Daybreaker can return,” said Sunset Shimmer.
“I’m back!” Sunset Shimmer recognized the voice and looked up at the sky and saw Daybreaker. Daybreaker began to laugh madly. Night has become day.
Sunset Shimmer’s mouth fell open. How did Daybreaker return? But she was determined, because Sunset Shimmer knew she needed to find her friends to defeat Daybreaker a second time and save her dear mentor and friend.
Sunny Flare took the necklace, put it on and looked at Sunset Shimmer with a determined look. “Well darling, if we’re going to save the world one more time, then let’s go. We have no time to lose!”
Sour Sweet fed her animals until her animals began to feel hot. Sour Sweet was worried. “Oh my Luna, are you all right?”
The animals lay on the floor. “Are you sick? Are you hungry?”
The Mole pointed to the sky. Sour Sweet looked up at the sky and saw the sun. “What? It’s day? But wasn’t it still to be at night?”
Sour Sweet heard footsteps and saw Sunset Shimmer, Sunny Flare, Celestia, and Luna. “Sour Sweet, we need you!”
“Of me? But for what?” asked Sour Sweet.
“We need to gather the other girls to save the princess from the darkness,” Sunset Shimmer handed over the Element of Kindness. “Here is your Element of Harmony.”
Sour Sweet put on her necklace. “Not wanting to be rude, but Princess Luna is with you right there.”
Sunset Shimmer was unsure. “Sour Sweet, is that… the Princess Luna with me is from another timeline.”
Sour Sweet was surprised and scared at the same time, she didn’t know what to say.
“Sour Sweet, I know it sounds hard to believe, but please, it’s true what I’m saying,” said Sunset Shimmer.
Sour Sweet looked to the side. “I believe in you Sunset, it’s just… I don’t know how to express myself about this…”
“Sour Sweet, when we finish saving the princess would you like to talk to me about how you feel?” asked Sunset Shimmer, smiling.
Sour Sweet smiled. “Yes. Thank you, Sunset.”
Indigo Zap was on a cloud, relaxing. Until she heard Sunset Shimmer’s voice. “Indigo Zap!”
Indigo Zap looked down. “Do you need something?”
“Yes. We need you to save the princess.” Sunset Shimmer handed the necklace with the Element of Loyalty to Indigo Zap.
Indigo Zap took the necklace, put him it on, and noticed the princesses beside Sunset Shimmer and her other friends. “Sunset, the princess is right there with you.”
Sunset Shimmer knew that Indigo Zap would probably attack the alternate timeline princesses, but Sunset knew she had no other way. “Indigo, the princesses who are with me are from an alternate timeline. The princesses here have become evil for unknown reasons.”
Indigo Zap went to Celestia and Luna. “What did you two do with the princesses? Are you Changelings? Are you spies?!”
“Indigo! I understand why you’re suspicious, but you shouldn’t talk to princesses that way, even if they aren’t from here,” said Sunset Shimmer.
Indigo Zap struggled to not show regret, but took her Element of Harmony and placed it around her neck. That done, she got her hooves crossed.
Luna was surprised by what Sunset Shimmer had said to Indigo Zap. She couldn’t help noticing that this Sunset Shimmer here was almost the same as Twilight Sparkle from the original timeline, but the difference was that she always saw the side of the ponies and was loyal to Princess Luna.
Sugarcoat was resting under an apple tree until she heard hoofbeats.
“Sugarcoat! Sugarcoat!”
Sugarcoat’s eyes widened. Sugarcoat looked where she saw the voice and saw Sunset Shimmer with her friends and the princesses.
“Girls? Princesses? What’s going on?” asked Sugarcoat, confused.
“It’s the princess, Sugarcoat. She was consumed by darkness and Daybreaker returned,” Sunset Shimmer handed Sugarcoat the Honesty necklace. “Here’s your element. Put it him on.”
“Sunset Shimmer, I need explanations. The princesses are right there. How can I be sure you’re not lying?” said Sugarcoat.
Sunset Shimmer was about to speak, but Luna decided to speak for the yellow unicorn. “Sugarcoat, you can trust Sunset Shimmer, yes. She’s being true and honest with you. Celestia and I aren’t from here, we came here just to visit.”
Sugarcoat didn’t expect Luna to answer, but she decided to trust the words. “Well princess, I trust you,” Sugarcoat looked at Sunset Shimmer. “Sunset, is anypony else missing?”
“Yes, Lemon Zest isn’t here,” said Sunset Shimmer.
Lemon Zest was eating a cupcake until she heard footsteps. She looked at the door and saw her friends and the princesses coming in, but what caught her most was that her friends wore the Elements of Harmony. Lemon Zest stood up. “Hi, girls. Hi, Princesses. What do you want? Do you want me to have a party?”
Sunset Shimmer approached Lemon Zest, she held the Element of Laughter. “Lemon Zest, we need you. The princess was consumed by darkness and Daybreaker returned.”
“Silly. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are already there.” smiled Lemon Zest.
Sunset Shimmer was already getting tired of explaining the same thing, but she knew it would be the last time. “Lemon, the princesses…”
“Oh! Oh! The princesses who are with us aren’t from our timeline, they are from an alternate timeline, and those princesses who have become evil are our princesses on this timeline.” Lemon Zest said without pausing.
Sunset Shimmer and the others gaped. “How did you know that?”
Lemon’s smile didn’t falter. “It was just a guess.”
Celestia and Luna Go To An Alternative Timeline
Comforting Twilight Sparkle
Celestia and Luna were looking for Twilight Sparkle all over the castle. Until they saw a door leaning. The two went to see if Twilight Sparkle was there and saw the lavender alicorn sleeping.
Luna looked at Celestia and whispered. “Sister, I think we better get back to Canterlot.”
Celestia looked at Luna and whispered back. “Yes, I also think. But can I write a letter to let you know that we’re back?”
“Yes, sister,” whispered Luna.
Celestia brought out a scroll, ink and quill and began to write. Luna kept looking to see if Twilight Sparkle would wake up.
“I’m done, Luna,” whispered Celestia.
Luna looked at Celestia. “Can I read what you wrote?”
Celestia gave the letter to Luna. Luna started to read, but didn’t speak what was written. “Dear Twilight, Luna and I have already returned to Equestria. If you want to talk to me later about how you are feeling, I will be willing to listen to you. Signed Celestia.”
Luna looked at Celestia now. “Where are you going to leave that scroll?”
Celestia entered the room silently, went to the lamp, lifted it, placed the parchment on the side table and put the lamp back and returned to where Luna was. “Let’s get out of here before we wake up Twilight Sparkle and Spike.”
When morning came, Twilight Sparkle woke up willingly. She looked at her lamp and saw a paper under it. Twilight Sparkle was curious and raised the lamp and took the paper to read. As she read, she seemed happy that the princesses had returned. Twilight Sparkle would like Celestia to come here to tell her how it went. Twilight Sparkle got up from the bed and brought out a scroll, quill and ink and started writing. “Dear Princess Celestia, I am happy that the two of you have returned, if you could come when you aren’t busy, you could tell me how it went and I would also like to talk about mine. Signed Twilight Sparkle.”
As much as Twilight Sparkle wanted to call Spike to send the letter to the princess, she didn’t want to wake up him. So she decided to wait for Spike to wake up, but while he didn’t wake up, Twilight Sparkle decided to read on the couch in the meantime.
When Spike woke up, he intended to go to the kitchen. But Spike saw Twilight Sparkle run up to him with a scroll. “Spike, can you help me? I need you!”

Twilight Sparkle handed the scroll to Spike. “Send this letter to the Princess.”
“Now? But Celestia may be busy eating right now,” said Spike.
“Exactly, Spike. She will have time to read my letter before she goes about her royal duties. It is relevant for the princess to read while she still has time,” said Twilight Sparkle.
Spike was confused. Twilight Sparkle wasn’t happy. “Important!”
Spike was thrown back. “OK. Okay. I send now.”
The lavender alicorn handed Spike the letter. Spike went to a window, took a breath before releasing a fire and the letter was sent.
Celestia and Luna were in the dining room and were eating pancakes. Celestia’s pancake was a tower and had a face, while Luna’s wasn’t a tower and didn’t have a face. Celestia started to wonder if Twilight Sparkle has woken up and read the letter. Would Twilight Sparkle want to talk to her? Celestia hoped so, because then Twilight could say everything she felt.
Suddenly, a purple fire came to Celestia and a letter fell on the table. Celestia smiled. Maybe it’s a letter from Twilight Sparkle with the answer. Celestia opened the letter to read. As Celestia read, she smiled. She couldn’t wait to finish eating to tell Twilight Sparkle and to know what bothered her former student.
Twilight Sparkle had already finished eating, and was now waiting for Celestia to arrive. Twilight Sparkle started to wonder if Celestia would come or be busy, but if Celestia can’t come she would understand and wouldn’t be angry or sad about it.
Suddenly, she heard a knock in the door, Twilight Sparkle went to the front door, opened it with her magic and when she saw Celestia bowed. “Princess Celestia, I see that you received my letter, right?”
“Yes, Twilight, but you don’t have to bow, you’re a princess,” said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle realized her mistake and stopped bowing. “Sorry.”
“No need to apologize.”
“Sorry.” Twilight Sparkle smiled.
Celestia entered the castle and Twilight saw it, closed the door and went to Celestia. Twilight Sparkle looked at Celestia. “Princess, would you like something? A drink or a food?”
“No Twilight, thanks,” said Celestia. “I would just like to talk to you.”
Twilight Sparkle opened the door to her room. She and Celestia sat on the bed to talk better. “So princess, how was your adventure in that alternate timeline?”
“It was fun, Twilight. Luna had a lot of fun,” said Celestia.
“Really, princess? What did Princess Luna do for fun?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Luna and Sunset Shimmer became great friends. Luna loved the fact that Sunset Shimmer was loyal to her on that timeline.”
“Well princess, at least Princess Luna has found somepony who is loyal to her. Did anything else happen?”
Celestia was unsure. “Well Twilight, on that timeline Luna is Chrysalis’s aunt. I was surprised because if Chrysalis was good, it would mean that Cadence was the evil queen of the Changelings.”
Twilight Sparkle couldn’t help but agree. “I know princess, it shocked me too, but when I saw Chrysalis I wanted to think that Cadence ruled alongside Chrysalis. Did anything else happen?”
Celestia was worried. “Well, let’s say that Princess Luna became Nightmare Moon and that me from that timeline tried to stop her, but after failing, my self became Daybreaker in the hope of stopping her sister.”
Twilight Sparkle was confused. “But why did Luna from that timeline become Nightmare Moon? Wasn’t her Night appreciated?”
“It wasn’t that Twilight, the reason that Luna became Nightmare Moon was because she felt that Sunset Shimmer would prefer Luna from our timeline more than she did,” said Celestia.
“So she became Nightmare Moon because she was insecure that Sunset Shimmer was replacing her?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Yes Twilight, and that wouldn’t have happened if Luna and I hadn’t come for that timeline,” said Celestia.
“But I don’t understand princess, how did Luna know you two were there?”
“She saw Luna and I fall from the ceiling of the throne room,” replied Celestia. “I never imagined that Luna on that timeline had a evil side.”
Twilight Sparkle wanted to tell Celestia that she agreed with this, but she was still bothered by the fact that Celestia from the alternate timeline had an evil side, she was still scared that the princess had an evil side. Twilight Sparkle always thought that Celestia wouldn’t have an evil side. As much as Twilight didn’t want to tell Celestia that, she needed to say what she felt. “Princess.”
“Yes, Twilight?” asked Celestia.
“I need to say something that has been bothering me a lot,” began Twilight Sparkle.
“What bothers you, Twilight?” Celestia put a wing around Twilight Sparkle.
“Sunset Shimmer, Garble and I were having coffee in the evening until Sunset received a letter from Princess Luna saying to take her friends and the Elements of Harmony to the castle.”
“But why did Luna need Sunset Shimmer and her friends to take the Elements of Harmony, Twilight?”
Twilight Sparkle was very nervous and felt like she was going to cry. “Well princess, when Sunset Shimmer saw Luna, she went to Luna to hug her. After the hug, Luna said that the problem was with her sister.”
Celestia was curious. “What was the problem with me that alternative timeline?”
Twilight Sparkle could feel tears coming out of her eyes. “P-princess… Luna said that your self became Daybreaker!”
Celestia was speechless. Celestia watched Twilight Sparkle and saw that her former student was crying a lot. Twilight Sparkle’s cheeks were very wet. Twilight Sparkle looked at Celestia. Their hooves were up. “Princess, when I found out that youself of that timeline had an evil side, I was very scared because it would mean that you could also have a dark side.”
Celestia just looked sadly at Twilight Sparkle. “Princess, when I heard Daybreaker’s scream, I ran to where the scream came from. When I got to the room, Daybreaker was trapped in a shield made by Luna.”
“And did Daybreaker do something bad to you? Did she hurt you?” asked Celestia, concerned.
“No princess, she just looked at me curiously and asked me who I was,” replied Twilight. “I spoke my name and tried to remove the shield with its magic, but I failed.”
Celestia never imagined that Twilight Sparkle would try to save her self from the alternate timeline even if it was turned into Daybreaker. “And what happened next?”
Twilight Sparkle wiped away tears with a hoof. “I heard hoofbeats. Who appeared was Luna, Sunset Shimmer and her friends. I went to Luna and asked her to release yourself from the alternative timeline, but Sunset Shimmer said it wasn’t Celestia, but Daybreaker. I said it was Celestia, and I ended up even threatening Luna if she didn’t let youself go.”
Celestia was surprised by the last sentence. “Twilight, did you threaten my sister from the alternative timeline?”
Twilight Sparkle realized what she said and smiled nervously. “Yes…?”
“Twilight, I understand that you care about me, but you shouldn’t threaten my sister from that timeline,” said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle looked down. “I know princess, but I was afraid they were going to banish you.”
“Twilight, do you know that the Elements of Harmony only do what the bearers want to do to the enemy? If the bearers want to purify the evil pony the Elements of Harmony will purify, if the bearers want to banish the pony to the moon or the sun the Elements of Harmony will do so,” said Celestia.
“So does that mean that if you ever become evil, I won’t end up banishing you to the moon or the sun?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Twilight, I will never become evil.”
“But what if you become, princess?”
“Well, in case I ever become evil... I know that you and your friends will save me.”
“But what if I accidentally banish you?” cried Twilight Sparkle.
“Twilight I already told you, there’s no way that this can happen without the carriers wanting to,” said Celestia.
“I know Celestia, but I am afraid of losing you forever.”
“I’m also afraid of losing you forever, Twilight. But if I ever become evil, I will never stop caring about you.”
Twilight Sparkle smiled. “Really, princess?”
“Really, Twilight.” Celestia and Twilight started to touch their snouts. What the two didn’t know was that Spike was watching their conversation.

Shadowbolts 6, Celestia, Luna, Chrysalis and Daybreaker Vs Nightmare Moon
Sunset Shimmer, along with her friends and princesses, were looking for Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker to use the Elements of Harmony. Celestia wondered if Sunset Shimmer met Princess Luna who rules this timeline, but in the form of Nightmare Moon, did she say anything else to Sunset? “Sunset.”
Sunset Shimmer looked at Celestia. “Yes, princess Celestia?”
“When you came across Nightmare Moon, did she say anything more than that Luna and I weren’t on that timeline?” asked Celestia.
“Yes Princess Celestia, she offered me to join her,” said Sunset Shimmer.
Celestia was worried. “And you joined her?”
“No. Even if I am faithful to the princess, I would never betray Equestria,” said Sunset Shimmer.
Luna smiled. “What you did was a heroic act, Sunset Shimmer.”
Sunset Shimmer smiled. “Thank you, princess.”
“Well, well. If you’re not Princess Luna’s student.” Sunset Shimmer looked up at the sky and saw Daybreaker descending to the ground before she approached Sunset Shimmer. “Sunset Shimmer, why are you loyal to Princess Luna?”
“I am loyal to the princess because she’s a benevolent ruler,” said Sunset Shimmer.
“Foal. Don’t you realize your princess has succumbed to darkness? It intends to cause eternal night so your night will be enjoyed forever,” said Daybreaker.
Sunset Shimmer was confused by the last sentence. “Why? Does she feel unappreciated?”
Daybreaker was annoyed. “Not appreciated? Please! She is loved even more by the subjects! It makes me jealous of that.”
“But do you know why she became Nightmare Moon, Daybreaker?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Yes. As Luna is the princess of the night, she also has to control the darkness within her,” said Daybreaker.
Sunset Shimmer went into possible panic. “Wait. So does that mean the princess had a dark side from the start?”
Daybreaker rolled her eyes. “Yes. But she could control that. But after these copies of me and my sister arrived, Luna thought Sunset Shimmer would prefer her fake version to the real one.” Celestia and Luna felt guilty. It was their fault that Princess Luna from this timeline had become Nightmare Moon.
“But what about you, Daybreaker?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
Daybreaker blew out a breath. Her expression changed to possible sadness. “I tried to talk to her. But she was so scared, so sad, and so angry that she succumbed to her dark side. I tried to talk to her, even though the one who was there now was Nightmare Moon, but she just started attacking me with her magic. So, I had to fight my own sister, as much as I didn’t want to. I had tried everything to get Nightmare Moon back to Luna: I talked, I fought, but I always lost.”
“And what did you do?”
“I became Daybreaker in the hope of beating Nightmare Moon and that she would return to being Luna,” said Daybreaker.
“But I don’t understand one thing. Because when you arrived in Ponyville, you laughed like crazy and said you returned? Did Nightmare Moon put you under a spell?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Well, even in that form, Nightmare Moon was stronger than me, and she put a spell on me to act like when I was in the past.”
Sunset Shimmer was gaping at what Daybreaker said. Did your mentor do this to Celestia? Luna couldn’t have done it for want. Luna must be under a spell.
“But was Luna really doing this? Wasn’t she under a spell?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
Daybreaker was sulking at what Sunset Shimmer said. “Yes, she really did it and wasn’t on a spell, Luna did it all on her own.”
Sunset Shimmer started to cry. Sunset Shimmer’s friends hugged Sunset as Daybreaker watched the scene with a neutral face. Luna and Celestia were still shocked that Daybreaker said that because they were to blame for all this, the princesses felt that they should leave here as soon as possible, but they knew they shouldn’t because they need to apologize to the princess Luna for making her feel that way.
Suddenly, the day turned to night. Sunset Shimmer looked up at the sky and noticed a figure approaching. Daybreaker stepped in front of the nine mares and charged her magic. Nightmare Moon landed on the floor. “I see that the spell I put on you is no longer effective.”
“Sister, you will not hurt our subjects,” said Daybreaker. “Stop now or I will be forced to fight you!”
“Sister, do you know what I control? The moon and the stars. They are twice as strong as your stupid sun,” said Nightmare Moon.
Daybreaker was annoyed. “Don’t talk about my sun like that!”
“Oh. Were you angry? Just because ponies prefer me more than you do?”
Daybreaker tried to not look upset. “Please, princess. Stop it,” Daybreaker looked at Sunset Shimmer and saw that the yellow unicorn was talking to Nightmare Moon.
“Why should I stop?” Nightmare Moon was annoyed. “You replaced me with this fake copy of mine!”
“No, princess. I didn’t know she was another one of you from an alternate timeline, I thought it was you,” said Sunset Shimmer, hoping that Nightmare Moon would be Luna again. “Please, come back.”
“Sunset! Use the Elements on me. Now!” Nightmare Moon said in Luna’s voice. The slits became pupils
“In position, girls.” Sunset Shimmer’s friends approached.
The necklaces and crown jewels began to shine. Sunset Shimmer’s eyes flashed white and a rainbow went to Nightmare Moon. “Aaaaahhhhhh!!!!”
Sunset Shimmer and her friends landed on the floor and saw Luna on the floor with their eyes closed. Sunset Shimmer went to Luna. “Princess!”
Luna opened her eyes and saw Sunset Shimmer. “Sunset Shimmer… my dear student… you didn’t replace me…” Luna fell asleep.
“Princess! Princess! Please wake up!” shouted Sunset Shimmer in panic.
“Don’t worry, Sunset.” Sunset Shimmer looked back and saw Celestia. “Luna is only weak because of the darkness that has taken her. When my sister wakes up, she’ll be better.”
Sunset Shimmer wiped away any tears that were coming out of her eyes. “Really, Princess Celestia? So that means she doesn’t… ”
Celestia smiled. “Yes, Sunset Shimmer. She’s still alive.”Celestia caught Luna with her magic.
Sunset Shimmer approached Celestia. “Princess Celestia, would you like to stay in the library with me until Princess Luna wakes up?”
“Until it’s a good idea, Sunset Shimmer,” said Celestia.
Chrysalis approached Sunset Shimmer. “Sunset, can I stay with you until Luna wakes up?”
“Of course, Chrysalis. Just don’t forget about the Sunburst. He might be worried if you don’t return today,” said Sunset Shimmer.
“I know, Sunset.”
At Golden Oka’s Tree Library, Luna slept in Sunset Shimmer’s bed. Beside the bed were Celestia, Garble, Chrysalis, Sunset Shimmer, Sugarcoat, Lemon Zest, Sweet Sour, Indigo Zap, Sunny Flare and the two princesses of the original timeline: Celestia and Luna. Celestia and Luna still felt guilty about coming, but they thought it was time to say goodbye and leave.
“Guys,” began Celestia. The other ponies looked at Celestia and Luna. “We are so sorry that this happened.”
Sunset Shimmer approached Celestia. “Don’t blame yourself Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. I had no way of knowing that this would happen.”
“But we were pretending to be the princesses so we could befriend you,” said Luna, guiltily.
“Luna, Celestia, don’t blame yourself. Do you remember what I said to you before?” a silence occurred. “I said I can see your side. You both thought I’d be mad and kick you out of the library for thinking you were Changelings.”
“So, won’t you stop being our friend?”
“No, Luna. But if you get back here, just let me know so that I don’t confuse you with the princesses here,” replied Sunset Shimmer. “Do you promise?”
“We promise, Sunset,” said Luna and Celestia in unison.
“So, are you two leaving now?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
Celestia and Luna looked at each other. Luna thought. Maybe Celestia can do Luna’s royal duties, but until Luna remembered what Celestia told her: “We were made to rule together, little sister.” Luna couldn’t stop ruling Equestria and couldn’t put her royal duties aside. But that didn’t mean she couldn’t visit this timeline from time to time to spend time with Sunset Shimmer.
“Okay sister, let’s go,” said Luna.
Sunset Shimmer went to Luna. “Bye, princess.”
“Bye, princesses,” said Sunset Shimmer’s friends in unison.
“Bye copies of me and my sister,” said Celestia.
“Goodbye,” said Chrysalis.
Celestia picked up the scroll with the time travel spell made a hole appear in the ceiling, a wind came up and sucked Celestia and Luna. The two passed through the same timelines until they reached the castle of Twilight Sparkle. Celestia and Luna glanced around before leaving the map and searching for Twilight Sparkle.
