This is an AU with two points of divergences. 1. Cadance got her cutie mark but didn’t immediately ascend to become an alicorn. 2. Sombra came back years earlier and launched an attack across the north of Equestria. A young Cadance was taken as one of his many servants/slaves.
Together in Love
Beads of sweat ran down Shining Armor’s cheeks. His corded muscles screamed as he pulled himself up, and lowered his back down onto the gym mat. He wanted to just lie there, and let his four hooves spreadeagle.
Yet, the encouraging smile of the lithe pink mare standing in front of him made him pause.
“Ninety-nine. One more sit-up, and you’ll be done Captain,” said Cadance.
“It’s... Shining, Cadance.” But the unicorn heaved himself up again to his knees before letting himself collapse onto the plasticky mat.
“One hundred,” said Cadance. Kneeling, the pegasus put her hooves on Shining’s aching legs and began to rub the sore muscles.

Cadance shut her eyes and pushed the door open, making sure to close it behind her.
Warm and refreshed, with just a bit of hot water running down his back, Shining Armor stepped out from the washroom, ready to sit down on his bed and finish reading the new Ogres and Oubliettes 6th Edition.
He did not expect to find his gorgeous assistant standing next to his bed. Her lips anxiously pursed, but her eyes staring at him.
“Cadance? Oh, um, what are you doing in my room.” He glanced at the clock, noted how late it was, and slowly glanced back. “At… this… time?”
Cadance took a deep breath, and Shining couldn’t help but notice the carefully groomed fur on her chest rise, and fall. She took another breath, this time, her hoof resting on her chest.
“Shining, why don’t you want me?” she asked, her voice frail.
Shining Armor’s eyes widened. “What do you mean?” He trotted over to her and sat down. “Did I say something? Do something to make you feel that?”
Cadance turned away from him. She didn’t back away, but she also knew that now that he was so close, he had to see that she was trembling.
“Then… why don’t you…” Cadance shut her eyes, faced him and blurted out, “Why don’t you want me? I’ve seen the way you look at me. I can tell you like me. So why don’t you… why don’t you ask me to stay the night?”
“Stay the—” Shining’s dense brain suddenly clicked and his jaw fell open. It was like he was replaying footage, viewing ever interaction he and Cadance ever had, and noticing the things he had missed. How she did an extra sashay of the hips before she left his office. How there was a flash of an exasperated look when he escorted her home after dinner.
Just how did he miss that?
Cadance glared at Shining Armor. “Well?” she demanded.
That seemed to shake him out of his stupor, and his eyes narrowed on her with surprise.
“Cadance… that’s not it. I didn’t— I—” There was an audible ‘clonk’ as Shining Armor’s hoof buried itself in his face. “Would you believe me if I told you that I was holding myself back because I didn’t know you were interested?”
Cadance blinked. Her fears evaporated and were instantly replaced by two voices.
One oddly Twilight sounding voice that screamed, Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yeeeees!!!!
The other, rather smugly saying Well what are you waiting for?
“So, you’re saying I needed to give you a clearer signal.” She batted her lashes, and as he froze and swallowed, she leaned forward and kissed him.

“Cadance is it safe—”

Prince Shining Armor of the Crystal Empire, looked up at his now alicorn wife with a bit of apprehension.
They’d been married long enough, overcome enough tribulations (including Queen Chrysalis’s invasion of their wedding—which incidentally had been the event that had incited Cadance to ascend to an alicorn) that the look Cadance was giving him could mean two things.
One, she was angry at him, but that was rare, and she would usually look more angry than worried.
Or two… she wanted to talk about their bedroom activities.
Immediately setting down his quill, Shining trotted from around his desk, joining her by the bed they shared.
“What is it honey?” he asked.
Cadance exhaled, one hand over her chest to calm herself. “So… I’ve been thinking, about why I’ve have such… complicated feelings toward sex.”
Shining’s eyebrows shot straight into his mane. It would be wrong to say that he and his wife had a bad sex life. They’d done a lot of fun bedroom activities and thoroughly enjoyed bringing each other to orgasm.

Cadance, filled with relief, managed a small smile, the warmth of her husband’s touch lessening the tension in her shoulders. “I don’t deserve you.”
“I could say the same,” said Shining. He gave her cheek a peck and pulled the covers over them. “Thank you for sharing, Cady. We’ll think of something.”
A few days later, Cadance was sitting on the couch in their shared chambers, one eyebrow raised.
In front of her, Shining Armor had a whiteboard with copious amount of notes written in his chicken-scratch hornwriting. He also had cue cards hovering beside him.
But what Cadance was really intrigued about was the very large cardboard box beside him.
“So Cadance, my idea is this. You want to be dominated, but you’re worried about being hurt. Well, I did some shopping.” The unicorn opened the box and pulled out several objects that Cadance quickly recognized, and flushed at the sight of them.
“Are those…”
“Yes, these are cuffs and spreader bars,” said Shining. He levitated the two cuffs closer to Cadance. One was set was covered in pink fur, and tied together with pink, satin sheets. The other was a set of more traditional metal cuffs, but instead of a lock, there was a simple pin that even a baby unicorn could yank out with their magic.
More equipment followed Shining out of the cardboard box and Cadance’s eyes widened at the sheer variety.
“So my idea was that we’re going to do some light bondage. It’s going to start off with me restraining you, with the equipment of your choice. Equipment you can easily escape from without my assistance. Shining grinned. “That does sound nice.” Once again, he levitated the cuffs to his wife, “but for the moment, fuzzy or metal?”

Standing in the centre of their bedroom, Cadance took a deep breath and nodded.
“Alright, the safe word—”

The soft velvet of the blindfold wrapped over her eyelids, leaving the alicorn in complete darkness. First, Shining plucked the crown from her head.

The hiss of the rope on the ceiling hook was her only warning as Shining raised her forelegs into the air. They’d actually decided on using the fuzzy hooves, but incorporating the simple locking pin of the metal design instead of the satin attachments.
Rocking her weight back onto her hindlegs, Cadance wobbled, not quite finding her balance, until her husband’s hooves held her cuffed ones steady.
“Woah there!” said Shining, his voice husky.
Cadance smiled, even as she felt his hoof tracing the edge of her cheek, and he was gone. She had to admit, she knew what he was doing next, but she couldn’t help but be curious as to how he was doing it.
Gentle prods at her hind fetlocks made her take a wider stance, the cool air of the room tickling the outer lips of her marehood. The fuzzy pink cuffs attached to the spreader bar were tightened around her hind legs and then Shining was gone into the void again. The only sounds of his presence being some clanking. The blindfold was practically ripped off, and Cadance blinked as the light of the room hit her eyes.
In front of her, a stallion in a black sweater, his upper face hidden by a so-called superhero mask. The only sign that it was her husband, being his now narrowed blue eyes.
“Well, well, it looks like we have a naughty princess in need of some discipline,” growled Shining Armor.
“Oh? And what discipline do you have in mind, Shi—”
She yelped, staggering as Shining grabbed her cuffed forelegs and yanked her forward. She stumbled, just held up by the rope.
“You will address me as your captain, princess,” hissed her stallion. He stalked around her, his tight sweater doing nothing to hide the rippling muscles he had built over the years and the toned flank that fixed her gaze.
“And if I don’t?” Cadance asked cheekily.
Shining raised a black, heart-shaped crop of leather, and tapped it right under her chin, dragging it down her neck.
“Well, you’re going to get spanked,” hissed her captain. He raised the crop, and hesitated, just for a moment.
Cadance, seeing that, swallowed, clenched, and hoping she wasn’t going to regret this wiggled her slender pink ass.
