The Pirate captain smiled a toothy grin as he sat on his command chair of the stolen destroy class starship known as the black death. His crew stands at the controls of the warship as the room was lit a deep red to help with their night vision as the ship chased after a much smaller ship.

One that held a target for a job that they were hired to do, normally the blackhole crew usually avoid doing jobs and normally just raid ships but this job was given to them by their employer that wouldn't take no for an answer and besides this job fetched the right price.

Captain Tooth and his crew have been chasing this ship for quite some time and their chase has led up to this place on the edge of the solar system where a planet has a moon and a STAR orbiting it. Normally no one would dare come here since the two astral bodies would move at random and along with that, there wasn't anything that one would want from this backwater world.

"Boss she's heading to E-1 from the looks of it!" The first mate said as the captain just smiled.

He held out his robotic hand and shouted.

"Send in the boys I think it's time we finish this little chase," With that, the crow second in command nodded as he got on the loudspeaker.

"ALRIGHT LADS BOSS IS SAYING ITS TIME!" As the speakers announced this the entire crew roared as many began to run to starships.REMEMBER THE GUY WHO IS HIRING US WANTS HER ALIVE SO DON'T KILL HER!

As the pirates entered their ships the black death opened its hangers letting the modified stolen Corneria security ships shoot out into the void of space to the lone starship.

(The Reach)

"Sir our scans are showing the enemy starship is deploying fighters to intercept the lone starship!" One of the pilot droids announced to me.

Placing my arms on the controls I looked forward as the surface of the moon passed by as our stealth engine and cloaking device kicked it. Looking at the large ship before us I used my visor's zoom feature to try and get a look at the running ship only to get a blur of it.

'Must be going at sub-light speed can't get a read on it,'

I began to type into the controls and active the ships scanners to get a scan of the lone ship, as I finished the last of the commands a hologram appeared before me causing me to go wide-eyed.

'Is that-'

"Sir enemy fighters are closing in on the lone fighters what should we do?"

I pointed to the droid and spoke.

"Prepare the ships we are going to save that ship,"

"Roger Roger,"

Turning my back on the hologram I ran down the hall to my ship.

"These guys don't give up!" Krystal shouted as she evaded the pirate's fire with her cloud runner.

The Ex-member of star fox punched the throttle on her engine giving her a boost forward as she was pushed from the force. As her ship dashed forward closer to the planet the pirates on her tail still kept chasing her as she began to worry for her sake, she had been chased by these guys for almost 5 hours and her ship is losing fuel fast! She needs to do something but right now the pirates had the radio jammed preventing her from calling help meaning she was on her own.

She could fight but she was greatly outnumbered...

The deck was stacked against her.

That was until her radar began to pick up something in front of her.

"What how did they get in front of me?" Looking up she then notices ships seeming to come right out of thin air.

Krystal was awestruck these weren't pirates but something else, and from what she could tell using her psychic abilities she sensed that these fighters weren't being driven by a pilot but drones. She prepared herself for any incoming damage but the ships just passed her as they began to attack the pirates. The vixen was surprised at what just happened but before she could react her comms flared up.

She turned to her comms screen only to be met with a scrambled image.

"C-c-com-e...i-n-n-n...a-a-a-llied...ve-sse-l,"

The image was fuzzy on her screen but she heard what was said as she pushed the speak button.

"Yes! Hello, can you hear me! This is Krystal of the Corneria pilot's guild can you read me," She spoke in with a smile as the voice came back a little clearer.

"Y-Yes...I...Ca-n-n...hear you,"

The image was less fuzzy but what she could make out was a male canine-like creature wear what looked like a visor over his face.

"Thank the goddess. I've been chased by a pirate group known as the blackhole gang and I need assistance they've been on my tail for some time. I'm low on fuel and Bombs I can use the help,"

She watched as the creature nodded.

"O-of...course...when...we...pi-ck-ck...you...up...entering...the...system...we came to help," The voice and image got clear as she got a good look at what she was seeing.

"Thanks I appreciate the helping hand Mr...."

"Names Zero I'm Captain of The Reach don't worry about a thing Krystal my boys and I have your back," The now named zero said.

Krystal cocked an eyebrow at Zero and looked around, there was no ship...well that was until like a vell a large ship uncloaked before her eyes along with a swarm of more fighters coming in hot. Out of all the ships one was different and this one unlike the others held a living pilot and was leading a neon blue set of different ships behind it.

(Note it's just blue with blue highlights)

The sight was amazing and as for the large dreadnaught class ship whose guns all turned to the black death preparing to fire when in range. Never in her life as a Mercenary with star fox has she ever seen a ship that big nor the number of fighters coming at the pirates. She was so entranced that she didn't notice the pilot coming up behind her and open fire upon her, her shields took the most of it but still, the force rocked her around.

"SHIT!"

She took action but more pirates were on her not letting their bounty escape, as the ace pilot flipped around with greedy pirates on her tail she took more fire as her shields burned out as her ship itself took damage.

"Don't worry Krystal I got your back,"

Sitting in my tie elite I moved behind the tailing ships on the blue vixen as my targeting computer began to get a lock on the pirate fighters.

As my computer got a lock I opened fired as the lasers fired a blue laser at the pirate, the advanced lasers easily ate through the shields and toasted the ship causing it to explode. Before the other pirates got a chance I opened fired as my targeting system got a lock as I took out two targets with one press. The remaining pilots broke off but only to be met with the interceptor vulture droids as my 'divison squad' finished them off.

"Thanks Zero,"

Pulling up next to the cloud jumper I nodded to the hologram on my display.

"Not a problem Krystal...hey your smoking on your rear," I warned.

"Crap those pirates must have nicked my engine I can't hold her for much longer!"

"Don't worry if we can make it to the reach everything will be fine,"

She shook her head.

"I don't think my controls will last that long,"

Looking down I flipped a few switches as I readied my ace in the hole.

"Don't worry I set my tractor beam on you and pull you in,"

"You can do that?"

"Yeah now hold on," I warned.

I snagged my beam onto the cloud jumper as I began to pull her to the reach as the pirates began to reach in but my squad broke off and opened fire providing covering fire. Punching my ship's superior speed with Krystal in my tractor beam we entered the safe zone of the Reach as I got onto the comms.

"Reach hanger 3 I'm coming in hot with a tow prepare a firing squad for any problems and a tractor net,"

"Roger roger captain zero,"

The hanger doors opened as I began to slow down but enough not to crash both of our ships, as we entered the hanger our ships were dragged across the floor as sparks flew before the tractor trap activated but the damaged cloud jumper's right-wing snapped off before flying across the hangar.

It exploded in a ball of fire as I got out of my ship before turning to the cloud jumper that was in blue field of energy before being let go as the ship flames grew. Jumping down I ran over to the ship and got onto the ship's nose, Krystal banged on the cockpit meaning that she was trapped.

When I saw this I dug my claws into the sides of the cockpit and ripped off the top of the ship before throwing it aside as Krystal couched from the smoke that filled the cockpit. Reaching my claw out to her she looked up and took it with her staff in hand as I pulled her out before holding her like a princess and jumping off the burning ship. As we landed I set Krystal down as I turned out and spoke.

"Where is my fire unit?"

As I said this a squad of fire-fighting droids poured out.

"Here sir,"

I pointed forward at the flames.

"Take out those flames before they spread to the fuel tanks!"

"Roger Roger," With that they poured on specialized fire suppressant foam onto the flames of the ship and wing.

As I waved across my face I placed a hand on a coughing Krystal.

"Welcome aboard The Reach Krystal,"

The first space battle chapter! Amazing its over 1,775 words! Hot damn I hoped you all loved it and please don't hate me if I added the star fox world in the MLP world. So yeah guess Zero got a candid for his first of his crew?
