Two weeks have passed since the Grand Galloping Gala and since Summers' Rockruff evolved in Lycanroc (Midnight Form). Now Summer and her pokemon were in Professor Rainbow Dashs' class for some exercise. "Alright class, today you're gonna run this obstacle course in the fastest time possible." Rainbow explained.

The students nodded and got into their positions, "Alright everypony and creature... on your marks... get set.... GO!" Rainbow blew the whistle and the students and creatures were off! Summer galloped alongside Sandbar and Yona. The three of them came up on some hurdles. Sandbar and Summer leaped over them with ease but Yona, being that she was heavier than the two, had some difficulty with leaping over the hurdles.

Sandbar and Summer then caught up with Smolder and Gallus, "Hey guys.." Sandbar greeted.

"Hey Sandbar, Hey Summer, get ready to eat our dust." Smolder smiled.

Summer smirked at her, "Well see about that.." and Summer pushed it into high gear, passing her friends and was nearing the finish line. Her Lycanroc, Wooloo, Mareep and Riolu were watching from the sidelines when Lycanroc perked up at something. "Lycanroc..?" ("What's that?")

"Mareepp?" ("Lycanroc, what is it?")

"Lycan..." ("Something bad...")

The three other pokemon looked at each other with worry.

Just as Summer was about to cross the finish line, something broke through the window and crashed into Summer pinning her to the ground, "Ugh...!" The class and Rainbow gasped in horror while Lycanroc growled in anger. Summer looked at her attacker and gasped... It was another Lycanroc!

The Lycanroc that had Summer pinned was another Midnight Form Lycanroc, but this one had scratches on his face that were healed; like he was a fight before. Summer's Lycanroc growled at him. "Lycanroc...!" ("Get off of my mother!")

The wild Lycanroc looked at it and grinned, "Lycan..." ("So this is where you've been...")

The wild Lycanroc got off of Summer and approached her Lycanroc. "Lycan.." (What are you doing here?!")

"Lycanroc..." ("To finish what we started..") The Wild Lycanroc howled and punched the ground, using Stone Edge, but Summer's Lycanroc leaped ontop of the Stone Edge, using it like a stepping stone and used Counter against the wild Lycanroc, sending him crashing to the ground. The Wild Lycanroc got up and growled.

Summer's Lycanroc charged the wild Lycanroc and readied a bite attack but the Wild Lycanroc glowed red and moved to the side, punching Summers' Lycanroc in the stomach and sending it flying into the air, "Lycanroc!" Summer gasped. Her Lycanroc recovered and unleashed Rock Throw at his opponent. The Wild Lycanroc blocked the attack, allowing Summers' Lycanroc and bashed it back.

Wooloo, Mareep and Riolu then confronted the Wild Lycanroc. The Wild Lycanroc coated its left fist in fire energy and punched the three small pokemon. They all cried out in pain and they fell on the ground, "Wooloo, Mareep, Riolu!" Summer gasped in horror. Summers' Lycanroc gasped and snarled at the Wild Lycanroc, "Lycanroc, Lycan..." ("This isn't over, pest.") then the Wild Lycanroc leaped up through the window and ran away from the school.

Summer got up and rushed over to her three little pokemon, "Wooloo, Mareep, Riolu, are you alright?" she asked frantically. The three pokemon got to their feet and they nodded. Lycanroc came over to them, "Lycanroc?"

"We're alright boy." Jasira reassured. Rainbow and the Young Six came over to them next. "Jasira, Lycanroc, everyone, are you alright?" Rainbow asked.

"We're alright Professor Rainbow." Jasira explained.

"Who was that Lycanroc?" Sandbar questioned.

"I have no idea, but it looked like it had some beef with your Lycanroc." Rainbow stated. Jasira nodded. That wild Lycanroc sure looked like it had some kind of rivalry with her Lycanroc. Question was... why?

"Whatever the reason, it seemed pretty serious about it." Gallus added. Everyone agreed and Rainbow cancelled the class for the day.

In Summers' room, Lycanroc was pacing back and forth in the room. Wooloo, Mareep and Riolu were watching with Summer on her bed and Twilight and Fluttershy came into the room, "He's still pacing?" Twilight asked.

Summer nodded, "Ever since we came back from the school, he's been tense and on edge."

"Let me try to talk with him.." Fluttershy offered before she fluttered over to Lycanroc, "Lycanroc? Is there something you wanna talk about?" Fluttershy asked him. Lycanroc didn't stop pacing, "Lycanroc..."

Fluttershy came back over to the group, "What did he say?" Summer asked.

"He said 'There's nothing to discuss'." Fluttershy said.

"But somethings definitely got him riled up. And I know it has something to do with that wild Lycanroc." Summer said. "I just have to find out how."

Twilight and Fluttershy nodded, wanting to figure out the reason behind Lycanrocs' sudden change in behavior.

The next morning, Summer and the pokemon woke up, "L-Lycanroc..?" Summer asked before seeing her wolf pokemon gone! Summer gasped along with the other pokemon. "Reep!" "Rio!" "Baa!"

Summer went outside, "Lycanroc...?!" She called and then she came to a frightening realization, "Oh no... she went after him.. alone..."

After an encounter with a wild Lycanroc, Summer's Lycanroc has disappeared into the night following the attack. What is the reason behind this sudden change in behavior?
