Equestria was conquered sixteen months ago. The princesses and the six heroes of friendship have been missing since then. Bon Bon is now part of a new agency that formed in the ruins of her previous monster-hunting business. Called, Friendship Isn't Banned, the FIB was formed as an opposition against the new laws of the land banning friendship, led by the mysterious Mad Jack, and using the remains of Luna's tower as a base, they are on a search for the missing princesses.

However when one mission goes drastically wrong, Bon Bon is forced to face the possibility of this losing war. Can her friends, lover Lyra and the adopted daughter pulled back her from this and back to the job or is she doomed at the hands of the new King's armies?

Part of the same continuity as Friendship Needs a Body Guard and takes place a month before it. Don't think of this as a prequel, more like a building back to events of before. I plan to do more short stories if this does well, with each of them exploring a month early back each time until we reach the moment everything went to shit. Each one will also focus on certain character I haven't written for yet. They will also feature homages to certain movies and TV shows. Like for example this story is inspired by a mix of 007 and the Witcher series.

As this is my first attempt to make a clop fic longer than a single one shot I would love for some feedback on how to take the story. Yes, Bon Bon will be treated very much like 007 and Witcher so don't assume that she will simply be having clop scenes with just Lyra. I do have other ships in mind as well as ships not including Bon Bon. This is also taking inspiration from Witcher and 007 not outright copying them so any ideas you would love to see from those series feel free to comment on them below and I'll try to fit them in. While I am a fan of both series I do not fully grasp at all the smallest of details. This story will be my most free-flowing story so everything is on the table.
