Far to the north, far from the Equestria wasteland, the village Hope Hollow was once long forgotten but now has been reclaimed. It is a sanctuary where ponies can escape the wasteland, and work hard to build a better life. There the mercenary Rook has traveled to find a new life, leaving behind the bloody hoofsteps of a soldier in the Redeye army behind, and taking up the trade of a simple hunter. 

Seeking the peace and serenity she never knew in the wasteland, she comes to learn that the wasteland itself is more than just radiation and war. It’s the ponies themselves.
