Life is a smile in our town (Double Diamond)
Double Diamond couldn't believe his luck.He was an excellent skier, it showed in his cutie mark and his name, for Celestia's sake! And yet here he was, crashed on some mountain in the ass end of nowhere, alone and with his hind leg in no shape to walk long distances on. He cursed himself for being so stupid as to attempt this slope alone, but no one else had wanted to come along and he had been itching to ski it for ages now. He shivered in the cold, the movement sending another spike of pain from his broken leg.
Well, what am I going to do now?" he thought to himself. On one hoof, he wasn't looking forward to the thought of trying to navigate down an unknown mountain on a broken leg, especially since he didn't know if there were any ponies living within a couple days trot even if he could make it down. On the other hoof, he was probably going to freeze to death up here if he couldn't at least find some sort of shelter by night fall. He knew he had to get moving. Double Diamond stood up.
"AAAAGGGGHH" He shouted in pain as his broken leg shifted as he stood, causing him to fall right back down to the ground, tears welling up in his eyes. He curled up in a fetal position, crying to himself as he realized he was going to die up here on this stupid mountain and no pony was ever even going to find his corpse. That's when Double Diamond heard the sound of his salvation.
"Hello?" a mare's shouting carried over the wind. "Is somepony out there? I thought I heard a scream!"
Somepony else was out there! He might survive this yet! Gathering what strength he could muster, he shouted back toward the direction he thought the voice was coming from.
"Help!" he yelled "I'm hurt and can't move! Please, hurry!"
"Okay, hold on! I'm on my way," the mare's voice returned.
Double Diamond waited for what seemed like an eternity, occasionally helping orient the mysterious voice by responding if she sounded closer or further away when she called. Finally, just as he felt the cold begin to overtake him, a light turquoise aura appeared in the distance. As it got closer, he saw it was emitting from a unicorn's horn. His savior had found him! He shouted for joy as she approached, and that was the last thing he could remember before he passed out.
"Oh you poor thing," the mare said when she came upon his unconcious body in the snow, "let's get you somewhere safe."
Starlight Glimmer grinned as she carried the body down the mountain. It looked like her village would be adding a new stallion to its ranks.
When Double Diamond came to, he lying in a warm bed staring up at an unfamiliar ceiling. For a moment he wondered if he had dreamt his whole ordeal on the mountain, until he felt the dull throbbing ache in his left leg. He looked down underneath the blanket he was covered with to see the leg was bound with a wooden splint.
"Oh thank goodness, you're awake!" a familiar voice proclaimed from his side. Double Diamond turned to see his mysterious savior standing in the doorway, a bowl of water and a sponge hovering beside her, wrapped in that same turquoise aura. She set the bowl and sponge on a table by his bed as she approached. She lifted a glass from the counter top and offered it to the stallion. "Here you go. Drink this, you must be thirsty," she said warmly.
"Thank you," he said, taking a few gulps of the offered water. It had a slightly unusual flavor, but felt good going down his parched throat. "You're the mare from the mountain. Thank you so much for saving me, but who are you? Why were you out there and where are we?" Double Diamond had a million questions running through his head, but the mare put a hood to his lips, silencing him with a gentle smile.
"My name is Starlight Glimmer, and I'm the leader of a small village at the base of the mountain you collapsed on. You're in that village now, by the way. My house, to be exact." she paused just long enough for Double Diamond to realize this must be her bedroom, then continued, "Anyway, one of the residents of our wonderful little town came to me the other day to say she saw a pony attempting to climb the mountain all alone. Those slopes can be tricky, so as soon as I heard I went out to search for you," she smiled reassuringly, looking down at the prone stallion in her bed, " You've been asleep for a couple days now. I guess I found you just in time".
"I'll say," Double Diamond agreed, "I really appreciate your help, but I'm afraid I don't have anything to repay your kindness with. I lost all my gear somewhere up on the slopes".
"Shhh," Starlight hushed him. "Don't even talk about repayment. Here in our village, we're happy to help because it's the right thing to do, not out of a desire for a reward or anything like that. We're a community founded on the belief that all ponies deserve to be treated equally, with kindness and grace".
"Hmmm, that sounds nice," Double Diamond said, making note of the mare's equal sign cutie mark. There was something that seemed strangely off about it. "But surely there's something I can do to repay you for saving my life".
"Oh, maybe there is," Starlight mused, "but don't worry about that now. No one living here wants for anything, and everything we have, we have to share. We truly are a perfect little community. If you really want to repay me, then just focus on getting better, and then maybe you could consider staying here with us?"
"I don't know about that," he said, suddenly somewhat unnerved by the look in the mare's eyes, "I appreciate you helping me, but I don't think I could just leave my entire life behind to live here".
"Well, I'll just have to do my best to convince you otherwise," she stated happily, "but enough about all that for now. I was just coming in to check you bandages and give you a bath".
Her magic lifted the blanket off of Double Diamond's body, leaving him feeling strangely exposed to the mare. He couldn't quite put his hoof on it, but something about this situation made him feel oddly vulnerable. Of course, everypony was naked around eachother almost constantly, so it wasn't the lack of cover that disturbed him per say. There was just a strange feeling of unease that he couldn't quite explain emanating from the mare as she manipulated his leg, checking to make sure the bone was properly set and the bandages were staying clean. At last she completed her checks, seeming satisfied with how his leg was mending.
"Well, I'm not an expert, and I'm afraid we don't really have a doctor available in our town, but I do have a little basic medical knowledge, and I think I can safely say you should be all better soon," she told him. "Fortunately the bone didn't break all the way through, it's just a hairline fracture. As long as you don't put any weight on it and keep that splint on, it should heal up on its own, good as new". She smiled that smile again. "Now, time for your bath". She lifted the sponge she had brought in with her aura and dipped it in the soapy water.
"Oh, umm, I'm sure I can handle that on my own," DD said, realizing what the mare was intending to do. Being naked in front of her was one thing, but this seemed a little intimate for a pony he just met.
"Nonsense," Starlight laughed, "what kind of caregiver would I be if I left my patient to fend for himself like that? You just relax and let me take of you".
Double Diamond wasn't sure, but he swore he heard something in her voice that sounded almost sensual. The mare began to scrub his body with the sponge, keeping the water contained with her magic so that the bed-sheets didn't get wet. The mare continued on silence for a while, using her magic to manipulate both the sponge and the stallion so that she was able to wash every inch of him. Double Diamond soon realized that there was only one part of him that hadn't been scrubbed down yet.
"You know," Starlight suddenly broke the silence, just before the damp sponge suddenly began to scrub his scrotum. Double Diamond jumped at the sudden feeling of cold water on his sensitive bits. "Of course they would have!" Double Diamond stated firmly, "I'm sure they're all worried for me even now".

"Well, wait... No, I'm sure they're worried about me missing... aren't they?" he asked the mare. Now he was officially one of the villagers, and he could begin his new life here with his new friends. The first real friends he had ever known, like Starlight always said. Double Diamond had been right when he had first met Starlight on that mountain, she was his savior. Just like she was everyone else in the village's savior. A savior from cutie marks and all the evils that came with them. He hoped one day the rest of Equestria would be able to see how right Starlight was. Starlight Glimmer was always right.
"Double Diamond!" a familiar voice called out his name. He turned to see Starlight's smiling face light up his world. "I was wondering if you could spend tonight with me again?" she asked.
"Of course, Starlight," Double Diamond responded, eager for another go at his savior's plot. He briefly pondered the fact that she seemed to be fucking him a lot ever since his leg healed, almost as if she preferred having sex with him over the other villagers. But that was ridiculous. After all, Starlight always said that everypony was equal here, and he knew that Starlight wouldn't lie about that. Starlight Glimmer never lied. Starlight Glimmer was always right. Comforted by that thought, he continued smiling at the mare.
"Great, then come to my place around sunset. I'll be waiting," she commanded as she turned from him, raising her tail to drag it just under his nose and giving him a full view of what she had to offer as she walked away. Yes, life was truly wonderful here in this village of equality. And to think, Double Diamond might never have even ended up here if he hadn't fallen off his skies.

You Can't Have a Nightmare If You Never Dream (Sugar Belle)

Once she lost her bakery, she had quickly learned that no one had any need for a subpar unicorn like her. Heaving another sigh, she took her first step into oblivion.
Hours later, her hoofs felt heavy as Sugar Belle fought to keep herself moving. She tried to remember the last time she had anything to eat, but decided that was a wasted effort. More importantly, she could really use something to drink as the sun beat hot on her in the arid desert. "This was definitely a bad idea" she thought to herself. Any grand delusions of romantic adventure or last minute salvation had left her, slowly being replaced with the morbid realization that she was going to probably die out here. "At least the desert will preserve my corpse, " she thought to herself, "not that anyone's going to bother looking for me".
She wondered why life had turned out like this for her. All she wanted was somepony to love her, and a place to bake all the pies and desserts she wanted. She had thought she'd found that once, but now the happy days of her youth seemed like ephemeral dreams, blown away by the harsh realities of life.
As Sugar Belle continued to plod along in this morose state of mind, suddenly she thought she could hear the sounds of a village. At first she thought she must be hallucinating, just the final symptoms before her heat stroke fully over came her, but as she crested the next hill she could make out the outlines of buildings and could see moving figures below. "Oh thank Celestia, there are other ponies out here!" she thought to herself before doing her best to race toward them, which amounted to little more that slightly faster plodding in that direction.
"Welcome!" said the first pony she came across. He was a white earth pony with an equal sign for a cutie mark and a wide smile across his face. "Are you feeling okay?" he asked, still smiling. "You don't look too good".
"Water," Sugar Belle managed to gasp, before she blacked out.
"Oh dear," Double Diamond said aloud as he stood over the passed out pony. Other smiling ponies began to gather, curious to see what was happening. "Someone had better go get Starlight, she'll know what to do". Starlight Glimmer always knew what to do.
When Sugar Belle awoke, she was in a room surrounded by five other ponies. Directly in front of her stood a light purple unicorn wearing a friendly smile. Sugar Belle could see the white stallion she had met when she entered the village standing to the right of the unicorn, and scanning the room she observed two other stallions and one mare standing around her, all wearing the same smile. The room she was in was pretty bare, wooden walls and floor, one window, one door. Scented candles were set around the room, hazy smoke permeating the air. The only furniture she could see was the bed situated right in the middle of the room, which she was currently chained to.
"Wait, what?!" she thought as that last fact registered with her.
"Welcome to our village," the unicorn interrupted her thoughts. There was a choir of "welcomes" from the other four ponies. "My name is Starlight Glimmer, the leader of this humble little community of ponies". The mare's smile never left her face and her eyes never left Sugar Belle's as she climbed onto the bed and straddled Sugar Belle's hips. "What's your name, my little pony?" she asked as a hoof stroked Sugar Belle's face.
"Umm, I, what?" Sugar Belle asked, confusion and fear struggling for dominance in the poor mare's mind. The pleasant scent of the candles filled her nostrils. "Uh, if you don't mind me asking, why am I chained up?" she asked, rattling the two chains connecting her fore-hooves to the bed frame as if to demonstrate what chains she was referring to.
"Don't you worry about those right now, they're not important," Starlight responded, running her own front hooves up and down Sugar Belle's sides. "We want to hear about you," she said, gesturing around the room at the other ponies with her. "It's not every day a pony stumbles into our little community so dehydrated and looking half dead. Why don't you tell us how you ended up here, while we take care of you?" She asked, her honest concern dripping like venom out of her mouth. "You're hooves must be exhausted from all that walking you did to make it here."
As if on cue, the four ponies not currently on the bed made their way over to her, smiling all the while. They each took one of her hooves in theirs and began to gently massage them, rubbing gentle circles around the base of them and caressing up and down her legs. One of the stallions, an earth pony with a faded yellow coat and an equal sign cutie mark, took one of her hooves in his mouth and began to dance his tongue around it. It had been one of the best rides of Starlight's life, bouncing up and down on his massive cock as Big Mac sobbed in anguish at the news of Sugar Belle's untimely demise. When his sister came home, Starlight had put her to work eating his load out of her gaping cunt while she broke the news to the apple mare. All in all, it had been a productive night that evening, she reflected to herself. It was a bit of a shame, though, really. She had always sort of liked Sugar Belle, but Starlight had to protect her village. Starlight Glimmer always protected her village.
All that being said, the real revelation for Starlight had been when she had learned about the Elements of Harmony, and that those six mares were the bearers of them. Starlight would probably have creamed herself just hearing about them, if Fluttershy hadn't been taking care of that for her at the time. With the power of the elements, Starlight could convert all of Equestria to her way of thinking, faster than she ever imagined. She had immediately ordered Twilight to collect them and bring them to Starlight. Twilight had mentioned something about some forest being unleashed and killing everyone in some town Starlight had never heard of, but eventually the alicorn did as she was told. They all did what they were told to by Starlight Glimmer.
Ever since Starlight had first established this village along with a few other ponies she had magically brainwashed into being her friends, there had been three keys to a successful conversion. After all, those brain washing spells took a lot out of a unicorn, and even Starlight wasn't powerful enough to maintain them constantly on even a modest population. So she had come up with other means to spread her friendship with all who came.
The first was a special drug cocktail Starlight had brewed up when she was younger. It could be administered in a variety of ways, be it mixing it with a drink, mixing it with candles and inhaling the fumes, or simply injected straight into a pony's body, and the drug was very effective at it's job. It made the affected pony more susceptible to suggestion, broke down their mental barriers, and allowed Starlight to talk them into nearly anything. As an added perk, it was a pretty powerful aphrodisiac, and the hornier a pony got, the stronger the mental affects of the drug became. It made fucking a pony as she talked them into converting a surprisingly effective method of manipulation. It also made the whole process a lot of fun for Starlight.
The next step was the actual cutie unmarking. Starlight had convinced all those idiots that the process was done through a fancy looking stick, but that was just so they wouldn't notice that Starlight was not quite as equal with them as they believed. Starlight was really looking forward to not having to maintain that facade for much longer. The unmarking was done with her own magic, and replaced the mark with not just an equal sign, but also a slew of hypnotic suggestions that Starlight layered into it. This made every unmarked pony easier to control, instilling a subconscious respect for Starlight as a leader and a desire in the pony to do whatever they could to please Starlight Glimmer. The spell worked best when done on a willing participant, but consent was hardly required to Starlight. After all, she was just trying to help everypony, whether they wanted her to or not.
Finally there was the spell that Starlight was most proud of, and the key to the long term success of her plans. A magic field surrounded the entire village, unnoticeable to even the most magically sensitive unicorns. It's job was twofold. First, it weakened the minds of anyone who entered it, not as much as the drugs did but enough to give Starlight an upper hand if she met resistance before administrating them. It was why Twilight and her so-called friends hadn't been able to defend themselves while Starlight was ripping their cutie marks off, they were just a bit too slow to take action. But its main purpose was to subtlety reinforce her will on the ponies in her village. Anytime a pony might question her actions or second guess her, they would be reassured by a voice that wasn't quite their own inside their head. Just little reassurances like "Starlight Glimmer is always right" or "Starlight Glimmer always knows what to do". Simple things like that. It kept all her ponies happy and docile under her control.
Now though, now Starlight had the Elements of Harmony at her disposal. No longer would she have to use such simple tricks to manipulate ponies. Now every pony in Equestria could be saved from their cutie marks, free to live their lives in perfect equality under Starlight's hooves. Starlight had been preparing the spell for days now, and at last she was ready to cast it. She could feel herself growing damp at the mere thought of what was to come.
She stepped outside to where Twilight had gathered her friends, wearing her false smile for the last time. Soon she wouldn't have to pretend to be equal to all of her ponies. This spell would keep them under her control no matter what she did. The six mares were each wearing a necklace, except for Twilight who was wearing a crown. Starlight scoffed at that crown. Maybe when this was over she'd melt it down and make a new one for herself. Whatever, those were concerns for later.
"Are you girls ready to rescue Equestria from the cutie mark menace that plagues it?" Starlight asked the six mares, wearing her usual forced smile.
"Whenever you are, Starlight Glimmer!" the six replied, smiling genuine smiles at the thought of what they were about to do.
"Excellent, you may begin".
One by one the elements activated and linked the six friends together. The mares lifted into the air, a sphere of pure magical energy forming around them. Starlight smirked as she lit up her horn and focused on her spell. She had to make sure she cast it just right, she wasn't going to get another chance at this. Finally, she shot a beam of light from her horn and into the swirling sphere consuming the six elements. Her spell was absorbed within.
Suddenly there was a roar of air as the sphere exploded and a rainbow colored ring of magic spread out from the epicenter. Starlight watched with pride as the wave traveled over the horizon and out of sight. If all went according to plan, that wave would envelop all of Equestria, spreading her spell to every pony within it's boarders. Now, finally, everypony would be free. Free from cutie marks. Free from the pain of having a friend stolen away or losing a mother. Free from having to worry about anything other than serving Starlight Glimmer.
All across Equestria, ponies watched as their cutie marks vanished, replaced with an equal sign, an earnest love for their fellow ponies and a sense of friendship and belonging that they had never known before. And as pony joined with pony all across the country, there was one truth that they knew above all else.
Everypony loved Starlight Glimmer.
