Let Go Of My Carapace

Starlight’s horn glowed, as she carried Trixie over to the alpha Changeling. She placed the blue unicorn on the Changeling’s back, as she was curled up into a ball. She then wrapped her front legs around Thorax’s torso, or carapace. He looked at her, nervously.

“ ..Uh..Starlight? Are you sure this is a good idea? “ Thorax asked, looking at Starlight with a nervous look. His overall emotion was nervous right now. Starlight nodded.

“ Yeah. I don’t know what it is, but Trixie is...well.. “ Starlight circled her hoof around, before saying, “ ..grippy.. “

Thorax looked at the light-pastel-blue unicorn again, and noticed how she latched onto him quickly. He was gonna be in the air, and unicorn can’t “ fly “. Thorax, then, just got even more nervous. He never said anything about his carapace being sensitive, so this would be an experience.

“ ..G-Grippy, Eh? “ He stuttered, still looking at Trixie. Starlight hummed. She picked up a camera that she bought, and held it with her magic.

“ Ok. I’m gonna be recording, and if something happens, or when you want to land, I’ll stop the recording, and I’ll rewatch it, and point things out, ok? Ok. “ Starlight explained, leaving the unicorn and Changeling to just sit there for a moment.

“ Starlight, this is bad idea! “ Trixie whined, gripping tighter. Starlight turned, and sighed.

“ No, it isn’t. You need to calm down when it comes to being in the air, ok? “ She said, patting Trixie’s head like a pet. Trixie scowled at Starlight, and looked away from her.

“ Can we please just get this over with! “ Trixie whined again, gripping onto Thorax’s carapace tighter. He winced, his back leg twitching a bit. He was worried about someone noticing, but it was only minor twitching so far.

“ ..,Uh..Trixie..Thorax needs to open his elytra, to be able to spread his wings. “ She said, awkwardly, before lifting Trixie off of Thorax’s back, to give him space. His elytra then opened, and his translucent light purple wings buzzed. Trixie was plopped back onto the Changeling’s back, gripping his carapace, once again. Starlight was holding the camera, and had it on recording mode.

“ Alright! Go! “ Starlight said.

“ Hello, ponies! I, the great, and powerful, Trixi— HEYYY! “ Trixie yelled, as she didn’t even get to finish her introduction. Thorax really just wanted to get this over with.

“ You didn’t let me finish! “ Trixie whined, clinging onto Thorax tightly. He buzzed around a bit, seeing the view from above.

“ Well, I wasn’t just wanna wait there, as uncomfortable with this as I am at the moment. “ Thorax said, a tad bit annoyed.

“ But, every recording needs a introduction, especially if it’s me doing it. “ She said, sassily. Thorax groaned, and rolled his eyes. He actually was thinking of doing something he once did..but he forgot how to do it. He then forgot the whole thing in general. He noticed the roof of Twilight’s school, and decided to fly around that. He took a quick U-turn, heading towards that roof. Trixie’s eyes widened, nervously.

“ W-What are you doing? “

“ I’m just..gonna do a spiral around the school. Nothing to extreme. “ Thorax said, calmly. Trixie gripped onto his carapace, making his back leg twitch a bit more. He ignored it, and flew closer to the school’s roof. He started flying around it, Trixie holding on tight. Thorax was curving in air, and spinning about. He had been watching Rainbow Dash fly around some times, and he thought about giving it a try. He wasn’t as cool as her though, and wasn’t afraid to admit. He did a few twirls, and then started flying straight again. He didn’t notice his back legs twitching violently.

“ STOP DOING THAAAAAAT! “ Trixie whined, scared. Thorax kept flying, straight this time. All of that actually made him a bit dizzy. He tried to fly straight, but he ended up flying side to side. Trixie gripped the carapace tighter, everytime his wings buzzed. All of the sudden, Trixie accidentally grabbed one of Thorax’s wings, stopping his flying. Thorax squeaked, before plummeting to the ground.

“ AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! “ They both screamed, as Trixie still held on to his wing. Starlight’s eyes widened, seeing them fly to the ground.

“ TRIXIE! LET GO OF HIS WING! “ Starlight called out, trying to save their lives. Trixie heard her, and let go of the wing. Thorax had his ability to fly again! His left wing buzzed, and he lifted back up into the air. Thorax gasped, as Trixie held onto his carapace a bit too tightly. Thorax’s legs started to twitch uncontrollably.

“ Thorax? Your legs are going crazy! “ Trixie said, pointing to his legs that were twitching. Thorax blushed, and his legs curled up.

“ ..I-I- “

“ And, are you blushing?! “ Trixie said, letting go of his carapace, and crossed her legs. Since he was still in the air, she was able to do that, but she was still a bit nervous.

“ You are GROSS! “

“ No! That’s not it! M-My carapace! It’s- “

“ It’s what? Huh? “ Trixie asked, kicking at his side with her back legs. Thorax winced, his legs still twitching.

“ My..it’s.. “ Thorax stuttered.

“ What? “ Trixie said. Thorax was about to say, before a swarm Pegasi flew into the two figures in the air. Trixie and Thorax squeaked, and Trixie gripped onto his carapace once again. Thorax flew to the side, only to be swarmed again. Trixie would cling onto the Changeling’s carapace so tightly, he wasn’t able to speak.

“ T-Trixie-ah! “ Thorax gasped, as the angry Pegasi crowd dive-bombed them. He headed toward Starlight to land. Trixie would still grip onto his carapace for some reason. The 3 were surrounded by Pegasi.

“ W-What do you want from us?! “ Thorax asked. They all pointed to Starlight and Trixie.

“ THOSE TWO MADE A BLIZZARD YESTERDAY, AND IT’S NOT EVEN WINTER SEASON! “ One yelled. Trixie and Starlight looked at eachother, awkwardly. Thorax looked at both of them, confused. Starlight didn’t say anything.

“ Hey! It was mostly Starlight’s fault! “ Trixie said, making Starlight glare at her.

“ YOU said it was a good idea! “ She pointed at the unicorn, still on Thorax’s back. Thorax just watched, as the two argued. He had gotten used to it. He looked at his carapace, and it started turning yellow, over Trixie’s grasp. He broke a sweat, before trying to get Trixie off of his back, and her hooves, away from his carapace. He flew up 2 feet in the air for a second, and tried to rip Trixie’s hooves off of him. His legs twitching, doing so.

“ Wh-WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? “ Trixie screeched, gripping onto him tighter. Now, he had to struggle, just to keep himself up. His wings buzzed violently, trying to stay up.

“ WHAT THE—STOP! “ Trixie whined, wanting to stay on the Changeling’s back. She didn’t know why he was pushing her away like this. Trixie gripped tighter, keeping herself on the Changeling. They struggled for a while, Thorax having to fly backwards, to get out of view.

“ T-Trixie, sto-Ah! “ He gasped, as Trixie somehow climbed off his back, and was in front of him, gripping his back. Her back legs would on top of Thorax’s carapace, really where his stomach was. She had a smirk on her face.

“ T-Trixie, get—ah! “ He gasped again, and he fell to the ground, her weight just plummeting onto him. Trixie, and Thorax both blushed awkwardly. Thorax was under Trixie in a..very..very awkward way. It made it more awkward, when they start breathing slowly. Fortunately, before this could get any worse, Chrysalis stepped in.

“ Nope. “ She said, as a vine broke out of the ground, and grabbed Trixie, dragging her off of the king. He sat up, wrapping his legs around his carapace, blushing. He looked over to the green figure of Chrysalis, who had a smile of relief.

” You’re welcome? “ She said. Thorax huffed, before sighing. He got up, and brushed himself off.

“ THORAX! HELP MEEEEEEE! “ Trixie screamed, as she was still held by the vine. He motioned his hoof, and the vine dropped her, going back into the ground. She brushed herself off, and mouthed, “ Sorry. “ He replied, mouthing, “ It’s ok. “

“ I-I should be heading home now. Bye! “ He said, flying off. Starlight and Trixie waved, although he didn’t notice. They turned, and realized...

They had to deal with a hoard of Pegasi now.
