The Spiral

There Exists the spiral. Around it is a field of magic limitation. Pegasus can't simply fly to the top, unicorns are unable to teleport to the top, earth ponies find themselves weak when near it. One question remains. What's at the top?

As long as Equestria has existed, as long as the princess has raised the sun and moon, the spiral has existed. A massive stone monolith that has a treacherous, spiraling path leading up around, and through it.

Creatures have always wondered what's at the top, why it's there, what created it.

Creatures should really leave their feet safely on the ground.
