BOOM!
"Ow~"
Upon entering the portal, John had found himself high up into the air, which caused him to curse outloud before he eventually crashed deep into the earth. Much of his body was now trapped within the mound of dirt as John began to wiggle himself out. Eventually a *pop* was heard as he was able to pull his head out of the ground. The boy gritted his teeth as he looked up, just in time to see the portal slowly closing.
"Hey! Keep the f*cking hole open you motherf*cker!" John yelled as he tried to find any sort of way to reach the portal, but it was useless as the portal disappeared from existence. John slammed his fist into the ground, a sharp pang of pain coursing through his body, but the rage inside of him numbed it.
"F*ck f*ck... FUCK!" John yelled, his eyes glaring at the place where the portal once stood as he cursed. After minutes of yelling John's voice began to tire out as he was reduced to just tears, the memory of his father entering his mind. He and his father might not be close, but still they care for each other, and now he would have to live with the fact that he himself will cause his father's pai-
"No... it's not my fault...." John said, realization hitting his head as hard as a stone as he recalled a moment where he was just a cripple, where his power was nonexistent, and when he was being bullied.

"Let me help you..."
Rage began to build upon inside John as he began to remember how Claire had seemingly wanted to help John after being bullied in his early years. John remembered that moment, just before his domination of both his former 'friend' and classmates, of Claire's letter for him, on how they were going to meet up in that park, signed with even a heart at the end. He remembered when his heart had fluttered at the thought of being with Claire, his best friend, ally, and potentially his girlfriend. That was the reason why he didn't trust that other kid he beated up on the roof, because he simply wouldn't believe that such an... angelic person, a person who stood by his side, could betray him.
And here he was, stuck in this unknown land, far from home. His father will suffer, all of those classmates suffered, he is suffering. And because of whom?
"Not me... her!" John stated through gritted teeth. His eyes flickered gold, but he couldn't use his ability. Of course he could not. There was no human in sight to copy, no aura, nothing to help him become as strong as he was. All he could do was to stay there, maybe seek for help? Whoever he might encounter might not have the same characteristics as his school and the world's stupid hierarchy. John's actions in his own mind was justified. He was bullied by middle tiers who were pleasured by beating someone weaker than he. Now he dominated them in every fight, especially what was show at that day where he beated half of his class with nearly no marks.
John began to stand up, his eyes inspecting the foreign land like an eagle. What little of the glow he could use from his eyes was used to brighten up the area just by a bit, and so in the distance he saw a massive castle, hidden in the woods. John raised an eyebrow. A castle? In the middle of the forest?
"If it's in a middle of a forest, it could be abandoned, and thus any food I might find there would probably be already reduced to dust." John said, his stomach suddenly grumbling at the mentioning of food. "F*ck. Shouldn't had said that." John muttered. "But maybe it's hidden because it's a base of some sorts. Perhaps if I enter I might find provisions." John thought out loud. John decided to enter the forest, making sure which direction he was going to try and find the castle.
"Even if I failed, I could use it as a place to stay, better than here." John said as he walked through the woods. Along the way he found a random tree bearing what seemed to be a black plum. Seeing the opportunity the young boy began to grab it's yield and dove his teeth into one of them. It's skin tasted bitter, but deep inside it tasted sweet like honey. John being satisfied continued to pick until he had no more space to carry them in his pockets and thus the King- no, boy from New Boston continued to walk.
As he continued to travel, he began to wonder why it seemed that time had stopped. The sky was still the same as ever before, and the moon was bright. In fact it had been there for a few hours now, but yet it had not moved.
"Well that's strange..." John commented, looking up. "It should've been sunrise by now..." John said, but then he shrugged. He probably was in a distant rural area where it had a different time zone compared to his home, so while it was whatever time it was there, it might be just starting to become night. "Oh well." John stated before continuing his trek.
It was fifteen more minutes into his journey where he suddenly felt a gush of air, the air swooshing his hair to the side. John spun around, looking over the area for what could've caused the gust of wind. What his eyes couldn't see was a blue mist of stars hiding within the shadows.
"Could've been the wind. That's all." John said as he continued to walk through the forest, getting quite bored of having to continuously walk. His path suddenly forked with another path, footsteps relatively freshly made, and those foot steps seemed to be heading towards the castle. In total it appeared that around a small platoon had walked through this area. His eyes brightened.
"Well looks like I'm right." John said as he began to follow the path. Another gust of wind hit him and John turned his head back, just to discover nothing. This movement and distraction though gave the blue mist time to dodge his vision and continue travelling ahead of him until it was out of sight. John then looked back at the direction where he was originally going only to see nothing.
"Weird forest, but nothing too scary." John said as he continued to walk. By now he was finding himself on the edge of a mountain side probably, and ahead it appeared as though a large area of rocks had gave way, and those footsteps suddenly disappeared from there. John began to look around to see if he could find where the group had resumed, if they had resumed as the distance they could've fallen might've even killed them. Luckily John spotted more steps up in the distance and so after carefully stepping down the young boy finally began to resume his path.
"Could I use my phone?" John thought suddenly as he froze. He fished out his phone from his pocket, which Keon hadn't bothered to find and remove it because he had been chained. His eyes glowed for a second in excitement, only for them to be replaced with disappointment as there was no signal here, meaning there was no chance of him being able to call anybody in the region. John sighed as he turned off the phone to save its battery. "Well I trie-" John said, before freezing again as he saw what appeared to be a lion. But this lion had two wings, and it appeared to be more of a cross of some ferocious beasts. Right now though it was sleeping. Every time John breathed the ear of the beast would move sightly, prompting John to stay as silent as he could. While he might be able to dominate this beast when using his ability, his ability was quite useless as of now without any to copy, and he was not going to risk finding out if this beast had it's own powers. Silently he stepped around the lion hybrid, once nearly stepping on said beast. Once he was in the clear, he burst into a sprint. Luckily the sounds of his shoes slamming against the ground did not wake up the beast.
As he continued to run and entered a new region of the forest he began to hear laughter. As he looked around he saw on the nearby trees hideous faces, all the faces seemingly laughing at him for his situation. John bared his teeth at them.
"Oh what are you f*cking looking at!?" John barked back at the trees who stopped laughing as John pulled back a fist. "Just shut up! You're just nothing to me and you're just figments of imagination probably!" John yelled as he punched a tree extremely hard, some chips of bark even flying off. The faces of hideous laughter turned into horror before they vanished away, the forest returning to normal. John blinked shaking his head.
"Well that was something..." John said, before looking at the ground and continuing to follow the steps. He was so focused on the steps that he nearly fell in a rapid current river. He jerked his body back in a attempt to not fall, so hard that he fell on his rump.
"F*ck that hurt." John muttered as he looked over at the water. "I think I could make it across. Though it'll mean I'll get colder later." John said before taking a big breath and jumping into the water. The cold current splattered against his face causing him to grit his teeth as his arms stroked through the water. After what seemed like hours which was only a minute he landed on the other side gasping for breath.
"F*ck... F*ck... FUCK! That was too cold!" John cursed as he shook his hair and shivered. His coat, shirt, and shorts had all become wet and cold. His teeth chattered but remembering why he crossed that river in the first place gave him the strength to get up again and continue his trek. The feeling of hunger returned to him so the boy pulled out...
...only two fruit
"FUCK! It must've escaped with the current!" John cursed as he lifted his fist and was about to smash the ground, the fruit in his hand. It was until he nearly hit the ground where he noticed he still had his hand grasped around the fruit, and he stopped just in time before he could've smashes the ground. John sighed as he put one of the fruits away in his pocket, making sure that it wouldn't fall out, and he ate the other one, again the bittersweet taste assaulting his tongue. He spat out the seed which was even darker than the skin itself before leaving towards the general direction of the castle.
Eventually he found the bridge, which extended over a large ravine. John whistled in shock at the enormous depth of the ravaine. One misstep and he might even die from the fall. The bridge didn't look secure either. Carefully John began to cross the bridge, the wooden frame creaking under his weight. Suddenly John tripped on a misplaced plank and he fell on the surface of the wood. After a few suspenseful seconds there was no sign of the frame collapsing. John let out a sigh of relief.
"Well that was close." John said as he got up, accidentally pushing the plank he tripped on behind. The bridge began to shake and slowly it began to collapse behind him.
"RUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUN!" John yelled out to himself as he dashed across the remaining planks. Upon seeing that continuing running would only lead to him being caught by the falling planks, the youngster closed his eyes and jumped as hard as he could, barely reaching safe ground as the final planks fell. After recovering from the shock of nearly dying, John shakily began to lift himself up from the ground as he gasp.
"I-i- I could've died!" John yelled out loud in fright. John looked behind and there was no signs of the bridge ever being there in the first place, causing him to shiver even more as he could've been part of those things that disappeared forever as well. John began to slowly walk towards the castle which was now in view, and it actually looked pretty dated. In fact it looked like it hadn't been used in centuries!
"Ugh. So much for finding food and people. Might as well use this as shelter." John said. He then remembered to look down and alas there were fresh footprints. In fact he swore, unless his mind was playing with him, that he began to hear voices! He was safe! And in fact to add to his excitement, a flash of light was seen through one of the buildings, and chances are that it was made by someone else! He was going to live!
John began to race to the castle, seeing another flash of light appear. John felt adrenaline coursing through his weak body as he began to even climb up the stony wall to a not so really high but somewhat high enough window. John grabbed onto the ledge and began to pull himself up when he was about to go through he heard the sound of something breaking. John nearly let go of the ledge and nearly had to restart if it were not for another desperate group mid-air. Pulling himself back up he looked and was perplexed at what he saw.
In his view were seemingly two people facing each other off with what looked like to be the glow of an ability. But that's where the similarities end. First of all their skin were not of any normal tone. One was purple skinned while the other was dark blue skinned. Then came the fact that the purple one had a horn, while the blue one had a horn and a pair of wings. The blue one also wore armor. On their clothing they appeared to have symbols, with the purple one having a purple star and the blue one having a crescent moon on her armor. The purple one had purple eyes while the blue one had aquatic blue serpent like eyes, something that seemed strange to see. And strangely even in range he felt a barrier against his ability, as if he couldn't copy their abilities or power because they were fundamentally different
John couldn't help but notice the purple one sobbing as she gazed down onto the ground. There on the ground were a pile of shards, but what John could guess on the scenario it was her last hope, now gone like that.
"You little FOAL, thinking you could defeat ME?! Now you will never see your princess or your sun! The night will last FOREVER!" The blue being said as she began to cackle, dark storms forming above her. Somehow, deep inside of his body, John felt something snap inside of him. Here was a being, clearly stronger than the other, laughing and gaining pleasure and happiness at the misfortune of others. Just like he was bullied when he was in Middle School before he became King. He was picked on by the middle-tiers, who only hurted others because they themselves were weaker than the higher-tiers. Why did this hierarchy thing had to exist!?
John closes his eyes, attempting to calm himself. If he let loose now, he could potentially fall again and become a rampaging person, even with no ability. But the thought of this pony, along with others falling because of this power fighter who simply thought she could pick on lower ones because she had the power and had no reason to hit him hard.
"I am not like them... I have my own reasons to fight, my own will for freedom... and to defeat those who believe that they have the power to subjugate others." John thought internally, trying to fight back the urge to attack. But John could no longer fight back his will. He had the right in his home, and he was sent away because of others who simply did not see what he was doing! And now he will do this one last time, not because of for these strange beings, but for his own sake of proving himself right.
And when he opened his eyes, they were glowing gold.
