“Professor Dust Brush, why are we here again?” A small pony by the name of Silver Coin asked. The two were in a cave that was just north of Manehatten, recording it as it was just discovered. They got separated by the main group because they found a small path that branch off from the main cave systems. Silver Coin didn’t like it but was getting a feeling that Dust Brush was a little bit of a fortune seeker. She watched as he turned a corner and with a slight gasp, gallop out of sight. She groaned in annoyance and followed him. “We should get back to the main…” She stopped when she entered the chamber to see piles of gems they had just found.

“I have been hoping to find this all my life.” Dust Brush mutter under his breath. “An actually Sphinx loot. I heard of rumors of one having to be near here but to be in one…” He quickly started looking around the cave floor. “It’s got to be… It’s got to be around here somewhere.”

“What are you looking for, Sir?” Silver Coin asked, looking at the large piles of gems. “These gems could fund hundreds of expeditions. What more could you ask for?”

“Every pony knows that Sphinxes love to collect gems but wanted to make sure nothing else got it. So, they made a portal of time. A little hole in the fabric of reality. If this is on the outside, then whatever it hid away must be worth, AH HA!” He shouted as he brushes at something on the floor. Silver Coin looked over to see a small crack with a couple of symbols around it.

“What are you going to do?” She asked but got her answer when his horn started to glow. “Are you crazy? Who knows what in there?”

“I’ll tell you what in there.” Brush said with a little laughter in his voice. “Lost spells, gold worth millions, maybe even some lost books on our history. And it’s just a spell away.” With a final chuckle, he shot a beam of magic into the ground. The symbol glowed and Silver felt the ground shake. She started to back away when it cracked open, shooting a blast of cold air into the cave.

She shielded her eyes as the wind pick up causing her to duck behind a pile of gems. There was a loud crack like lightning and a blue light lit up the cave. With that, the wind stopped, and everything seemed to calm down. She looked up from to see six ponies standing in front of Dust Brush, who was laying on the ground after being blown back by the wind.

“Is this another six-pillar thing?” Dust Brush asked out loud, brushing some dust off his coat as he got off the ground. “Because I swear, it seems more ponies get trap in some kind of magic hole than died.” One of the six ponies, a unicorn with dark blue fur, started speaking an unknown language. He shouted at the other ones, but they seem dazed.

“Great, they can’t even speak our language.” Dust Brush sighed and walked over to the six ponies. “Welcome to Equestria. My name is…” Before he could finish, the dark blue one cast a spell that wrapped around Dusk's neck and pulled him to the ground. With a straggling gasp, Dust Brush tried to pull free but was subdued when the unicorn slammed him into the ground. Silver Coin watch as he muttered something under his breath to Dust Brush in his unknown words. She saw a silver mist float from Dust’s head into the dark blue one’s mouth. It made a groaning noise and she saw a light flash on the group.

“There.” The dark blue one said. “We now speak their tongue. First question, what in the name of magic happen?”

“It seemed that Sphinx used some kind of teleportation spell and send us to a foreign land.” A red unicorn said, looking at the ground. “This looks like the cave but that pony was speaking something I never heard before.”

“This is the same cave.” A large clay red earth pony said. “I can feel the earth is still the same but it’s off because it feels older. Like we’ve been gone for over… I don’t know how long.”

“So, Bowtie.” The dark blue unicorn said, turning to a cream color earth pony. “You know how to count higher than ten, how long have we been gone?” Silver watched as the one called Bowtie center herself and closed her eyes. She seemed to go in a calm state and sway for a second. She opened her eyes suddenly and let out a gasp of shock.

“We have been gone for over ten thousand years.” She said. They all turn to her and each had a face of disbelief.

“That’s impossible.” The dark blue one mutter. “Majesty won’t let something like this happen.”

“Wake up, Bright Eyes!” The red unicorn shouted. “If we are this far in the future, that means she dead. Our families are dead, and you know what that means?” She started to laugh, almost like she just discovered Hearts Warming Eve. “We become the top of the food chain. We are the most powerful thing and the world is ours for the taking.”

“We don’t know that we’re the most powerful.” A yellowish-orange pegasus said. “Remember what the sphinx said of a creature that rules over all three races? What if that what waiting for us out of this cave? A lifetime of slavery and death?”

“All the more reason to go out there.” The one called Bright Eyes said. “ I will bring glory to Majesty and then raised the unicorn to there rightful place.” He looked over to the other ponies. “With our Earth and Pegasus by our side, of course.”

“So, Bright Eyes.” The large clay red earth pony asked. “How do you planned to establish we are the new bosses?” Silver leaned in a bit, accidentally tipping a gem down the pile she was hiding behind. The gem bounced down the pile and skated across the floor until it bounced off the back hoof of the one known as Bright Eyes. He dropped the spell on Dust Brush, who started to crawl away but was stopped when the large pony stomped on his leg with a sickly crunch. He howled in pain, but Silver wasn’t paying attention as she was trying to back away slowly out of the cave.

Bright Eyes turn around suddenly, seeing Silver and before she could react, Bright Eyes cast a spell that wrapped around her legs and pulled her to the group.

“What do we have here?” Bright Eyes said, lifting her into the air. “A little earth pony who shouldn’t be listening to other ponies conversations.”

“I could get a fire going.” The red unicorn said with a smile. “We haven’t eaten in over a thousand years and I don’t know about you but I’m starving!”

“Wait.” Bowties said. “This filly might have some info.” Bright Eyes turn Silver around to face Bowtie. “So, little filly. Who is your Queen?”

“WE don’t have a queen.” Silver said quickly, trying to wiggle out of the spell. “And I’m not a filly! I’m just a little…small.”

“Alright, so who do you report, worship, listen or all of the above to?” The red unicorn from behind Silver demanded.

“Well, answer Sparkle.” Bright Eyes said pointy.

“Wait, her name is Sparkle?” Silver asked. Both Bright Eyes and Sparkle exchange a look.

“Why does that surprise you?” Bright Eye asked.

“Well, we don’t have a queen, but we have princesses! One of them is named Twilight Sparkle!” Silver said, now looking like she was trying to not be upside down. Bright Eye sighed and drop her to the ground. She scrambled to get up and was looking around at the group that surrounded her.

“Don’t try to run away or Captain Surprise will do what he does best.” Bright Eyes said, nodding to the large pony which she assumed was Surprise. Surprise smiled and with a swift movement, he stomped down on Dust Brush. A snap echo in the room and Dust Brush went limp. Silver’s eyes widen, and Bright Eyes look down at her. “Do I make myself clear?”

“Yes, please don’t hurt me.” Silver quickly looked away from Dust.

“Now, about these princesses…”

The air was warmer than the last time they were on this mountain top. Sparkle looked down at the large city that was south from them.

“So, we have four princesses and they only care about "the friendship."” Bright Eyes said as he walked out of the cave. “What I need is to find out how powerful they are.”

“Well, according to our little pony, She and her friends are visiting this city called Manehatten.” Sparkle said with an eye roll. “I swear, not ever city should be named after a part of our body.”

“Yes, but according to our new source, these six ponies save this kingdom several times.” Bright Eyes inhaled the air with a smile. “And one sounds like your kin. Don’t you want to see where your breeding ended up?”

“That is a nice thought.” Sparkle said. “A leader of a group of fighters and a unicorn that surpasses all other. If she likes to see her enemy burn before her, I might just die of pride. Too bad yours didn’t become more powerful.”

“Maybe it’s because I was gone that they’ve weakened to a point of submissive. Don’t worry, I’ll raise them to their proper place.” Bright Eyes said, his eyes seemly lost in thought.

“And the other? What do we plan to do with them?” Sparkle said as she’d stand by him.

“Like I said.” Bright Eyes said with a cruel smile. “We shall put the unicorns in their proper place.
