Deep in a Cloudsdale Medical Station Alpha, a pale amber pegasus mare with a pale green pegasus stallion was holding as she screamed. A dark blue pegasus nurse looked at her reassuringly “Push one more time!”

The Nurses smiled as she caught the filly who began to wail “Congratulations Storm Shy and Windy Shy, you have a beautiful filly.” She passed the crying foal to her mother Windy Shy, Windy smiled as she held the foal.

Storm Shy smiled “What should we name her, she is a cute little one.”

Windy smiled “Fluttershy, her name will be Fluttershy.” It didn’t take long for the hospital to clear them and soon they had arrived home, Storm Shy was checking on his cloud jars while Windy was holding Fluttershy.

Storm Shy was about to re-enter the home when a dark blue mare pegasus approached him with a crimson pegasus stallion and an orange pegasus mare behind him. The dark blue mare growled as she pushed the stallion into his home “Storm, do you have what you promised!”

Storm backed away in fear “It’s been difficult Sky Strike, I’ve had to cut back shift with my wife being pregnant and…” The mare pushed him over growling but before she could respond a fast moving object flew across the room, the mare screamed as one of forelegs dropped to the floor blood pouring out of the stump.

Fluttershy was glaring at the mare, her hide was incredibly thick and long sharp claws extended from her hooves. What scared the intruders the most was the sharp fangs in her longer muzzle dripping with blood.

The Pegasi flew away in fear, Fluttershy however was not done and darted after them. Windy flew after her foal faster than anypony would have though possible as her husband was stunned speechless. Fluttershy had landed onto Strike’s back and ripped one of her wings out with her teeth, the other two pegasi flew away as Fluttershy dove towards the falling Strike. Strike landed on the clouds below only for Fluttershy to land on her and bite into her chest tearing the flesh beneath and rending bone.

Strike was in such pain that she couldn’t shake the carnivorous foal off her chest, she let out one final scream as Fluttershy tore her heart clean out. Her body fell limp as the life left her eyes. Windy landed scooping up the filly “Are you okay Fluttershy.”

Fluttershy looked at her mum and tried to struggle to get back to the body, she clawed at her mother’s leg. Windy let out a shriek of pain as her daughter flew towards the corpse, Fluttershy tore bits of flesh off before swallowing.

Meanwhile deep in the city of Canterlot Princess Celestia frowned at her newest attendant, Raven “I sensed a primal spirit, a pony with the strength of a wild animal. I need to investigate this.”

Raven nodded “I’ll keep thing organised in your absence.” Celestia smiled glad that her attendant was taking her job seriously. She then teleported to near the primal spirit only to be looking at a filly, not even a day old tearing into the flesh of an adult pegasi.

Celestia frowned at the filly, Windy flew in front of the princess “Please don’t hurt my daughter, she was only born today.”

Celestia smiled “I won’t hurt your daughter but I need to stop her from feeding. A simple sleep spell should suffice.” Celestia’s horn glowed gold but much to her surprise the magic just washed over the filly, Celestia frowned “It appears your daughter is a Primal Spirit of Ratel. It is a rare ability and nopony truly knows it’s origins.”

Windy looked at her daughter with worry “What does that mean for her?”

Celestia smiled “It simply means that your family is moving to Canterlot, she needs a proper teacher and I’m probably the only who can teach her.”

Windy bowed “Princess, when do we leave?”

Celestia was about to speak when a group of Pegasi in flight suits landed. A pegasi stallion landed with a salute “Captain Stormwing, at your service Princess! We heard a report of an animal attack!”

Celestia pointed to the filly in the corpse “She is a primal spirit, for such a thing to come out at such a young age the mare must have threatened her parents. She needs proper education in controlling her animalistic instincts.”

Captain Stormwing frowned “Is that wise Princess, she killed an adult pony in cold blood. Is it right to allow a monster like that to live?’

Celestia closed her eyes “She is no more a monster than I am” Celestia’s coat thickened as her aurora like mane grew longer and her muzzle extended filling with fangs as claws extended out of her hooves “She needs a proper teacher, one that I was not lucky enough to have. I am the Primal Spirit of the Lion, the Queen of the Savannah and wield the might of Dominion. It reduces the opponent’s will to fight me.”

Captain Stormwing saluted “Very Princess, if you need the Wonderbolts contact me.”

Celestia nodded as she turned to the Fluttershy who was now back to being a normal pegasus have fallen asleep after eating her fill. Celestia levitated the filly and cast two spells, one to immolate the corpse and the other to clean the filly.

As the Wonderbolts left, Celestia turned to Windy with a warm smile as she levitated Fluttershy over to her mother“Show me to your home. I will help you pack.”

Windy bowed before taking off with the Princess following behind, her husband was sitting quietly in their home when she arrived. Windy frowned “Storm, we are moving to Canterlot at the request of the Princess. It is for the good of our daughter, the Princess will help our daughter control herself.”

Storm looked at her in shock “But what are going to do for money?”

Celestia interjected with a smile “I will have you lodged in the castle, it will help as your daughter will be close enough that I can stop her from losing control.” With that sorted the Pegasi family began packing up their possessions so they could move into Canterlot Castle.

Author's Note

The spirits are strong, even a new born foal can kill an adult pony. Also because Fluttershy is leaving Cloudsdale she will never meet Rainbow and because of that no Rainboom. Rainbow achieved that because she tried to compete with bullies who treated her badly.
