Luna was in her room thinking about how she should explain to Celestia what she was feeling. What she wanted to tell Celestia wasn’t something simple, but it was also not complex. She was training her speech that she would speak to Celestia. “Dear sister, did we come to you to tell you that... we wanted to have a chance to demonstrate how we can also rule just like you?”
The alicorn gave a facehoof, it wasn’t good. Luna didn’t want to talk about it directly, she wanted to talk to Celestia for a bit before coming up with the main topic. Luna knew that what she was going to ask Celestia could deny, but she wanted to take a chance and ask what she was feeling. In the past, Luna had hidden what she felt resulting in her becoming the dreaded Nightmare Moon, and now she wasn’t going to make that same mistake again.
But Luna was hoping for Faust to make sure everything went well, and that there would be no disagreement or serious fight. There was a time when they were both fillies and they wanted to play with Discord at the same time, while Celestia wanted Discord to have a picnic on a sunny day, Luna wanted to go for a walk with Discord. Discord just watched the fight, but in the end they got along and the two went for a walk and a picnic at the same time. Although this isn’t one of her worst sisters fights and there is no fight resulting in Luna becoming Nightmare Moon and wanting to destroy Celestia because of jealousy during foalhood, at least in foalhood they didn’t rule Equestria yet, but their parents.
Luna’s ears drooped as she closed her eyes. She still didn’t know how she was going to tell Celestia what she was feeling. Sometimes, Luna would like to have a student so that she could have some free time on castle at night, but who would want to be a student of the ex-Nightmare Moon? Tears started to come out of her eyes. Luna began to fear that Celestia wouldn’t let her rule Equestria even if it was for a day because her older sister feared that Luna would become Nightmare Moon again. Luna wiped her tears away with a hoof, she couldn’t let her past bother now, but that was something she couldn’t stop thinking about. She decided to leave the room to go to the garden, hoping for fresh air. Who knows, she might leave that for another time? It is not as if Equestria would die if she left it for another time.
“Princess? It’s all right?”
Luna looked back and saw a Lunar Guard, his look was concerned and his ears were down and a hoof was raised. “We’re fine, Lunar guard.”
The guard Lunar approached Luna. “Princess, you know you can trust me.”
Luna looked to the side. “Do you promise to not tell the other Lunar guards?”
The Lunar guard bowed. “I promise, princess.”
The alicorn smiled and her ears went up. “Perfect. Let’s get going, I’ll explain,” Luna started walking, the Lunar guard followed the princess of the night. “I keep thinking about my duties as princess of the night ...”
“Do you feel like no one enjoys your night?” asked the Lunar guard.
Luna looked at the guard. “Isn’t it. It’s just… I feel like my sister doesn’t want me to get involved in politics, it’s like the phrase Celestia said to me when I came back to my true self meant nothing to her.”
The Lunar guard was curious. “What did Princess Celestia say to you?”
“We were made to rule together, little sister.” Luna tried to say in a voice similar to Celestia’s.
The Lunar guard didn’t know how to feel about this. “Maybe, she meant that you would return to your royal duties as princess of the night.”
“We are even trying to agree to this, but we felt that she also meant that we were going to get involved in policy matters not just in raising and lowering the moon and protecting ponies from nightmares. I don’t know how I’m going to explain Celestia about this. I’m afraid she thinks I’m going to become Nightmare Moon again and bring eternal night again,” Luna closed her eyes as tears started to come. “I don’t want to become that monster again ...”
“Princess, please don’t cry.” the Lunar guard has already started to feel sad for Luna.
Luna looked at the Lunar guard. “Please, help me. How am I supposed to explain to Celestia what I’m feeling?”
“I believe you should first ask about how she is doing, what her day was like and then say what she is feeling without showing anger,” said Lunar Guard.
“But what if I show my anger?” asked Luna, concerned.
“Try to relax, take a deep breath. Did you forget that you told me you befriended Twilight Sparkle? You told me that she and Fluttershy helped you to lower your voice.”
Luna smiled just remembering the shy pegasus. “Yes. Fluttershy helped us and for that, we feel grateful until today.”
“So? Try to think of the voice lessons that Fluttershy taught you. I’m sure if you do that, everything will be fine,” said Lunar Guard.
“Thank you, loyal Lunar guard. You helped us a lot. Although we didn’t make it to the castle garden, we thought we were ready to talk to our sister.” Luna turned around.
“Good luck!” said the Lunar Guard.
Celestia was sitting on her throne signed papers with a red feather. She didn’t have a smile, but that didn’t mean that Celestia wanted to give up governing just because of that. The doors to the throne room opened, Celestia looked at the door and saw Luna. Celestia dropped the papers and quill, and Luna’s attention went on. “Luna! Why are you here? Do you need something?”
“I want to talk to you, sister,” began Luna. “But before I speak I need to ask, are you too busy right now?”
“I’m signing papers at the moment, but I can make time for you. What would you like to talk to me about?” asked Celestia.
Luna looked uncertain, she looked around and realized that she had some royal guards. “Can we talk privately in your room?”
“Yes, Luna,” Celestia and Luna started walking and left the throne room. Upon reaching the room, Celestia sat on her bed and Luna sat on the bedroom floor. “Now, could you tell me what you are feeling?”
Luna’s ears drooped and she looked to the side while scratching her knee with a hoof. Luna started to wonder if she should say that. Maybe she could forget that. No. She couldn’t hide what she felt. She had to say what she felt. Luna took a deep breath. “Sister, we realize that you always take care of political matters.”
“Yes Luna, why? Does it bother you in any way?” asked Celestia.
Luna’s insecurity returned. She looked at the floor. Celestia noticed the silence and started to worry. “Luna, please tell me. Does that bother you?”
Luna looked from the corner of her eye to Celestia before looking back at the floor. “...Yes Sister. It bothers us… ”
Celestia raised a hoof. “But why does that bother you, Luna?”
“Because we feel that what you said to me after we returned to the real me, you was lying to me,” said Luna.
“Luna, I wasn’t lying. You returned to rule with me,” said Celestia.
Luna tried to not show her anger. “Have I returned to rule with you? So why can’t I help you with policy matters?”
Celestia was surprised by what Luna said, but soon recovered. “Luna, you’re very young. You wouldn’t understand politics.”
“But that doesn’t mean that I can’t try to understand,” said Luna.
“Luna, I already told you. You’re too young for this,” said Celestia.
“Please sister, let me rule Equestria, just for one day.”
“No, Luna.”
Luna started to get irritated, because she started to imagine Celestia’s reasons for not letting her rule Equestria. “Are you thinking that we’re going to become Nightmare Moon again?”
Celestia looked to the side before looking at Luna again. “Yes, Luna.”
“Sister, I don’t intend to cause eternal night again,” said Luna.
“But what if you turn into Nightmare Moon, Luna? What if the power goes up in your head?” asked Celestia, worried.
“Sister, I will not become Nightmare Moon again! Are you saying that you are afraid of me?”
“No Luna, I’m not afraid of you. I’m afraid that Nightmare Moon will return and that I will lose you once again.”
Luna started to cry, she started to feel betrayed. Luna thought Celestia trusted her. “You don’t trust me...?”
Celestia was surprised by this. “I do trust you, Luna.”
“If you trusted me you would let me rule Equestria!” cried Luna, through tears.
Celestia was starting to get irritated. “I told you! You don’t understand politics!”
“You told us that we were going to rule together! This isn’t governing together! You’re doing most of the work!”
“But we are governing together, Luna!” shouted Celestia.
“Then let us rule Equestria for a day! Let us prove that we can rule without causing eternal night! We can prove that we can be a better ruler than you!” shouted Luna.
“You don’t have to prove anything to me, Luna!”
“But I will prove it. And if you’re not going to let me rule Equestria, then you will no longer be a sister to me.”
Celestia started to cry. “Please, Luna. Don’t say that! I promise I will be a better sister!”
“And how are you going to prove me? The only thing we do is protect ponies from nightmares and raise and lower the moon,” said Luna.
“What you do already helps them, Luna,” said Celestia.
“But I want to help with other things too! Let me rule Equestria for a day!”
Celestia was nervous. She wanted to say “yes”, but at the same time she wanted to say “No.” But she wanted her sister to understand that politics wasn’t something that Luna understood. “I’m sorry, Luna, but no. You need to understand that politics isn’t your strong.”
Luna felt the anger take control of the your body. “Very well! If you are not going to let me rule Equestria, even for one day, I will find a way to get you off the throne. Goodbye, ex-sister,” Luna was so irritated that the floor started to shake, Celestia started jumping on the bed due to the tremor.
When Luna left the room, the floor stopped shaking and Celestia started to cry, she lay on the bed, her hooves covered her mouth. “Luna, I’m sorry ...”

In Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle left the Golden Oka’s Tree Library all happy with Spike on her back. The unicorn intended to spend a day with her friends in the park, they arranged a picnic there. Twilight Sparkle was looking forward to seeing her friends. She started to wonder what Pinkie Pie brought in the basket, as the pink pony was in charge of bringing the food to the picnic. Upon arriving at the park, Twilight Sparkle saw all of her friends. Pinkie Pie held the basket with her mouth, Rainbow Dash was flying, Applejack was resting under a tree but wasn’t sleeping, Rarity was wearing a light yellow hat with a light pink bow and Fluttershy was sitting on the floor while scratching a hoof and the mane was covering her face. Twilight Sparkle took a step forward. “Girls! Spike and I are here!” shouted Twilight Sparkle.
All five mares looked and smiled at Twilight Sparkle and Spike. They gave a group hug. Pinkie Pie had to put the basket from her mouth on the grass in order to hug her friend. When they left the embrace, Twilight Sparkle looked at Pinkie Pie. “Pinkie, did you bring everything to the picnic?”
“Yes, Twilight.” Pinkie Pie took off the towel that covered the basket and took each food with its mane. Everypony, especially Twilight Sparkle was confused to see this, but decided to not question.
Pinkie Pie took a picnic blanket out of the basket and arranged it for the picnic. Cupcakes, lemonade, cookies, muffins, sandwich, water and apples. When Pinkie Pie finished, she sat on the towel and waited for her friends.
The confused expressions of the mares and Spike changed to smiles, they sat down and started to eat. Twilight Sparkle took an apple and bit it, Rarity looked around the scenario, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash ate a sandwich, Applejack drank water, Pinkie Pie ate a Cupcake and Spike was admiring Rarity, pink hearts were in his eyes.
Twilight Sparkle looked at his friends. “So girls, what are you been doing?”
Rarity looked at Twilight Sparkle and put a hoof on her chest while smiling happily. “Simply fabulous, dear. I created a new fashion line for dresses.”
“Me and my cute friends had a tea party,” said Fluttershy.
“I’m planning a super hyper mega best party ever in honor of our one year of friendship!” Pinkie Pie got up and started jumping happily.
“I’m picking apples for an apple pie that Granny Smith will make for me, Bic Macintosh and Apple Bloom,” said Applejack.
“I’m doing some tricks to join the Wonderbolts.” Rainbow Dash made a proud pose.
“And you, Twilight?” asked Pinkie Pie, sitting down again.
“I’m reading the new Daring Do books,” said Twilight Sparkle.
Spike suddenly felt like throwing up. All the mares looked at Spike.
“Spike? Is everything okay?” asked Fluttershy, concerned.
Spike belched a fire and a scroll appeared.
“A letter from the princess!” Twilight Sparkle took the parchment, opened it and started reading.
“My dear student, I have very bad news. Luna and I had such a fight that it resulted in Luna not considering me my sister anymore. She felt that she should also rule Equestria, but I refused because she was so young. Luna was so irritated that my sister said she was going to find a way to get me off the throne. Twilight, I need you and your friends to join me to prove to Luna that I should be the ruler of Equestria and not her. I founded The Solar Empire, and I would be very grateful if you and your friends would join me. When the six of you arrive you will have two guards: A royal guard on the left and a Lunar Guard on the right, you must go to the left to join me. I await your arrival. Signed Princess Celestia.”
Twilight Sparkle was stunned by what she read. She never imagined that Luna would be against Celestia a second time.
“Twilight, is everything okay?” asked Fluttershy, noting Twilight Sparkle’s expression.
Twilight Sparkle looked at Fluttershy. “No, Fluttershy. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna fought, resulting in them not being considered more sisters. ”
Fluttershy was startled. “Oh my ...”
“Twilight, what did Luna do to get her to be against Celestia?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Princess Luna wanted to have a chance to rule Equestria, but Princess Celestia denied it because she was too young,” said Twilight Sparkle.
“This is unfair. Princess Luna just wanted to demonstrate that she could also rule Equestria.”
Twilight Sparkle gaped at what Rainbow Dash said. “Rainbow! Aren’t you understanding? If Princess Luna ruled Equestria, she could become Nightmare Moon and cause eternal night again.”
“Twilight, Princess Luna wouldn’t become Nightmare Moon for a second time. She has changed. I can understand that she just wanted to help her sister, since Princess Celestia is all day busy,” said Fluttershy.
“I agree, Fluttershy,” said Rainbow Dash.
“I also agree. I know what Princess Celestia needs: A hyper mega party!” shouted Pinkie Pie, excited.
Twilight Sparkle’s expression didn’t waver. She couldn’t believe that Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were next to Princess Luna and not Princess Celestia. “Fluttershy! Pinkie Pie! Rainbow Dash! Why are you three supporting Princess Luna? She was against Princess Celestia for the second time, don’t you realize the harm that Princess Luna can do to Equestria and the princess?”
Fluttershy’s ears went down. “Not wanting to be rude, but I can see that Princess Luna had good intentions when she told Princess Celestia that she wanted to rule Equestria.”
Twilight Sparkle started to get angry. “Good intentions? Good intentions?! Fluttershy, Princess Luna once became Nightmare Moon. If she was against the princess, it is a sign that she will become Nightmare Moon a second time!”
Pinkie smiled. “Silly filly, Princess Luna became Nightmare Moon because she felt that her night wasn’t appreciated not because she wanted to rule Equestria.”
“Pinkie Pie!” shouted Twilight Sparkle.
“What is it? It’s true,” said Pinkie Pie.
Twilight Sparkle looked at Rarity and Applejack. “What about you two? Are you with the princess?”
Applejack twitched her cowgirl hat while smiling. “Of course I am, sugarcube.”
“Yes, dear,” said Rarity.
Twilight Sparkle smiled. “Good. Now let’s get going. We cannot keep the princess waiting. ”
Upon reaching the Canterlot castle, the Mane six saw two guards. A royal guard on the left and a Lunar on the right.
The royal guard and Lunar guard looked at the six mares. “I believe you are the student of Princess Celestia and beside you are your friends?”
“Yes. We received the letter from the princess and we will join her,” said Twilight Sparkle, smiling.
“So, come over to where I am, and then I will show you the way to the throne room,” said the royal guard.
Twilight Sparkle looked at her friends. “Let’s go, girls.”
Rarity and Applejack followed Twilight Sparkle without a hitch. While Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy looked uncertain, they looked at the royal guard and the Lunar guard. They were supporting Luna, but should they be with their friends just because of their friendship? Or should they stand by who they were loyal to? Fluttershy was nervous and scared, Pinkie Pie was thinking and Rainbow Dash seemed more uncomfortable because she was the Element of loyalty. Rainbow Dash wanted to side with Twilight, Rarity and Applejack to demonstrate her loyalty to them, but she started to wonder if she should show loyalty only to Princess Luna, since she believed that Luna wasn’t guilty of what happened.
Twilight looked impatient. “Let’s go girls! Just walk to the left!”
Rainbow Dash looked at Twilight Sparkle with an unhappy look. Why should she follow Twilight’s orders? Twilight wasn’t a princess of Canterlot of Equestria like Luna and Celestia. The pegasus was the element of loyalty, she should be loyal to whoever she believed. If Rainbow Dash believed that Luna wasn’t to blame, then she was loyal to Princess Luna. Rainbow Dash made her decision. She was flying to the right.
Twilight Sparkle was angry. “Rainbow! How can you?!”
Rainbow Dash looked at Twilight Sparkle. “Sorry Twilight, but I believe that Luna is innocent in this story.”
Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie realized that Rainbow Dash went to the right. They looked concerned. Should they join the princess of the night despite Twilight saying that Luna is to blame for all this?
Twilight Sparkle decided to try to convince Fluttershy to join her, Rarity and Applejack. “Fluttershy, you’re the element of Kindness. You know very well who is to blame and who is innocent of it all. Don’t you remember how Nightmare Moon scared you at the Summer Sun Celebration? Luna will become Nightmare Moon again and she will torment the ponies a second time. You need to join Princess Celestia, Luna betrayed Equestria a second time. You don’t want Princess Luna to kill several ponies, do you?”
Fluttershy was unsure, she didn’t know whether to go left or right. The shy pegasus wanted to join the princess of the night because she knew that Luna wasn’t evil, just misunderstood. Although she was afraid when Luna appeared at the door with Twilight Sparkle on Nightmare Night, after that night Fluttershy realized that Luna was no longer Nightmare Moon, just a princess who wanted to be loved by the ponies, Fluttershy knew she would regret what it was going to do, but she did. Fluttershy was walking to the right, even though she was afraid of Twilight Sparkle’s reaction.
“Fluttershy! Why do you want to be with a traitor?” asked Twilight Sparkle, not happy.
Fluttershy looked to the side while the mane hid her face. “I-i really sorry about that Twilight, but I believe there is kindness in Princess Luna.”
Twilight Sparkle couldn’t believe what Fluttershy said. Twilight Sparkle thought Fluttershy would side with Celestia because she was a benevolent ruler and showed kindness to the pegasus after Fluttershy caught Philomena without asking.
Pinkie Pie was the only one left to choose a side. Pinkie Pie wanted to join Luna because she and the princess having a great time playing tricks on the other ponies. But she didn’t want to be separated from her other friends. If only she could find that puddle that clones ponies, but it would be impossible since the entrance was locked.
“Pinkie, hurry up and walk to the left!” shouted Twilight Sparkle, already impatient.
Pinkie Pie looked at Twilight Sparkle startled by the scream. She looked both ways that her friends were. Twilight Sparkle had an angry look, Rarity was looking at herself in the mirror to distract herself, Applejack was being patient, Rainbow Dash was looking at Twilight Sparkle not so happy because the unicorn was telling her best friend to not be by her side and Fluttershy was nervous which side Pinkie Pie would choose. Pinkie Pie started to think, despite Celestia being a good-natured pony, The Princess of the Sun spent most of her time busy and didn’t have sometime for fun, Luna was able to appear at Nightmare Night and had a lot of fun, despite the beginning not understanding how it worked the holiday. Pinkie Pie made her decision and went right, she could be on the dark side, but maybe it could has cookies.
Twilight Sparkle was very angry. “How dare you three stand against the princess? Luna is the villain and not Celestia!”
“I’m sorry Twilight, but I believe Luna is just somepony who is misunderstood and just wants to be loved,” said Fluttershy, sadly.
“Silly, Luna is no longer Nightmare Moon! Staying on the dark side is much better. They may have cookies,” said Pinkie Pie.
“I was loyal to the Princess, Twilight. But after Celestia didn’t let Luna rule Equestria, I realized that my loyalty should be to Luna,” said Rainbow Dash.
Twilight Sparkle was about to speak, but the royal guard interrupted her. “Let’s go. The princess is waiting for the three of you. ”
Twilight Sparkle, Rarity and Applejack followed the royal guard while Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy followed the Lunar Guard.
Celestia was waiting for Twilight Sparkle and the others. She really hoped that the six mares would have joined her. Because without the six mares together how would the Elements of Harmony work? Celestia heard the sound of a door opening, she expected to see the six mares but saw only Twilight Sparkle, Rarity and Applejack. When the three got very close, Celestia decided to ask Twilight Sparkle something, “where are the others?”
Applejack and Rarity were unsure. “Let’s say the others...”
“They joined the traitor!” shouted Twilight Sparkle, not happy and with her ears down.
Celestia was surprised. “But why did they join my sister? They should have joined me. ”
“From what I heard and understood, Rainbow joined Luna because her loyalty had changed, Fluttershy was because she believed there was kindness in Princess Luna and Pinkie Pie joined because Princess Luna was no longer Nightmare Moon and because maybe could have cookies,” said Applejack.
“I still can’t believe that the three joined Princess Luna! I bet the outfits they are going to wear will not be a little bit stylish,” said Rarity, now with a raised hoof and disgustedly imagined several ponies of the New Lunar Republic wearing a torn and light blue suit.
“And now, princess? What are we going to do?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“I think we’ll have to do without them, Twilight,” said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle was surprised. “But princess, me, Applejack and Rarity are friends with the other three. We can’t fight against our friends!”
“I know Twilight, but if they chose this path, I think we better respect it.”
“Princess, I don’t want to fight them,” Twilight started to cry. “They are still my friends...”
Celestia hugged Twilight Sparkle with a wing. Twilight Sparkle looked at Celestia, there were still tears in her eyes and her cheeks were wet. “Can’t we go over there and convince them to come to our side?”
“I’m sorry Twilight, I’m also surprised by this. But if we enter the location of the New Lunar Republic, they can attack us or expel us,” said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle returned to tears. Applejack and Rarity embraced Twilight as well.
Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy were being escorted by a Lunar guard to a dark blue room. In the room, there were two tapestries with the symbol of the New Lunar Republic, the left and right had accents and at the end, a stage. When he finished his job, a black-clad pony with light blue skin appeared from behind the stage curtain. Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash wondered who that hooded pony was.
“Our time has finally come… Princess Luna’s older sister has always been ruling Equestria, Princess Luna never had a chance to have a throne for her or to resolve political issues. But now, it has changed. Celestia may think that we aren’t able to fight for the throne, but we will prove that we can. Does anypony know why she rejected her idea of governing?”
“Because she think Princess Luna is evil?” a pony shouted.
“Exactly. And now we will prove that we aren’t weak and helpless. We can fight back and the Solar Empire ponies will realize that when Princess Luna gets the throne!”
Another hooded pony appeared, only he was taller than the one who made the speech.
When the pony took off the cape, everypony recognized the pony and smiled. “Princess Luna!”
Luna looked around and saw several ponies. She smiled and felt tears in her eyes when she saw the crowd of ponies. “Did you ... did you join us?”
A gray pegasus, yellow mane and bubble cutie mark replied, “Of course we joined you, princess,” the pegasus picked up a muffin and ate it.
Luna smiled at the pegasus. Luna wondered if one of the mares that saved her from Nightmare Moon was here. She looked around in search, and smiled when she saw Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie very close to the stage. Luna went down the few steps and went to the three mares. “You guys joined me!”
“Of course we joined you, Princess Luna,” said Rainbow Dash proudly.
Luna realized that Twilight Sparkle, Rarity and Applejack weren’t here. “Where are the others?”
“The others joined Princess Celestia.” Rainbow Dash ground her teeth.
“Princess Luna, what are we going to do now? Will we have a welcome party?” asked Pinkie Pie, excited.
“No Pinkie, I’m going to show the three of you what it’s like here and then you’ll have time to meet the other ponies who joined the New Lunar Republic and tomorrow the training of you three will begin,” said Luna.
Fluttershy seemed a little nervous at first, since fighting was never something she liked to do, but after listening to the speech it caught her attention, the pegasus wanted to win something instead of being shy and afraid of her own shadow.

Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash followed Luna down a Hall. As Fluttershy walked, Pinkie Pie jumped and Rainbow Dash flapped her wings. Fluttershy was curious. “Er... Princess Luna.”
Luna kept walking, but replied to Fluttershy, “yes? I am listening.”
“If it’s not too much trouble and if it’s okay with you, could you tell us what you’re going to show us?” Fluttershy lowered her ears. “That if it’s okay with you...”
Luna looked at Fluttershy. “I’ll show you the three of your rooms first and then the three of you can explore the place.”
Rainbow Dash raised a hoof. “Princess Luna, when will training be?”
“Training will start at night and end at midnight. Of course, before training, you will have dinner. The training will take place in the training room. You will have two types of training: Attack and defense.”
“What will we use to attack? A party cannon?” Pinkie Pie brought out a light blue party cannon and confetti came out. The confections fell on the manes of the mares. Fluttershy looked a little scared because of the noise, Rainbow Dash was taking out the confetti that fell on her mane and Luna had an expression that wasn’t happy at all.
“The unicorns will use their magic to attack and they can use swords if they want, the Pegasus will use blows and spears, Earth pony will use only blows, Bat Ponies will use their wings to knock out the Solar Empire ponies and when they knock out, it will kill them and I will use my sword to defend and attack,” Fluttershy was scared when Luna said that after knocking out the Bat Pony will have to kill the Solar Empire pony. “But to answer your other question, no. But since you already have a weapon that’s your party cannon, I think I can make an exception for you.”
“Thank you! Thank you!” Pinkie Pie went to Luna and hugged her tightly while smiling, Luna’s serious expression changed in surprise.
“You’re welcome,” Luna started to feel pain in her back. “Pinkie ... you’re going to break my spine ...”
Pinkie Pie stopped smiling and released Luna. “Sorry.”
“It’s okay, Pinkie.” Luna started to squirm.
When the princess felt better, she started walking again. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash followed again, but Pinkie Pie had to save her party cannon first. That done, she skipped again, they suddenly stopped. Luna opened a door with her magic, revealing a room. The room was dark blue and dark purple, the wall had Shadowbolts flags, the color of the blanket was black and had light blue ray patterns with purple clouds and also had a balcony. Apart from the fact that the flag isn’t a Wonderbolts flag, Rainbow Dash loved the room nonetheless. The pegasus wondered if this room was for her.
Luna looked at Rainbow Dash with a smile. “Rainbow Dash, this is your room. Feel free to explore the rest until dinner time.”
Rainbow Dash made a maneuver in the air. “Oh yeah!”
Luna looked at Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. “You two can also explore after I show you your rooms.”
She started walking again. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie followed. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie wondered what their room would be like. Would it be as beautiful as Rainbow Dash’s? Fluttershy looked at Pinkie Pie. “Pinkie Pie, how do you think your room will be?”
“I think mine will be all pink and will have party decorations!” shouted Pinkie Pie, excited.
“Er, I don’t know if Princess Luna likes this color and this type of decoration, Pinkie ...” said Fluttershy uncertainly, looking at the left side.
Luna stopped and opened a door. “Fluttershy, this is your room.”
Fluttershy went to the bedroom and was surprised. The room was dark blue, the blanket was black and had turquoise bat designs and a balcony. The pegasus entered the room.
Luna started walking again, Pinkie Pie skipping after her. Pinkie Pie came very close to Luna. “So Princess Luna, how my room looks like? Is he hot pink? Light pink? And how is the decoration? Will there be balloons and decorations? And what is the color of the wall? What color is the bed? Which is…”
As Pinkie Pie continued to speak, Luna couldn’t help but notice that she started to get a headache, after showing the room to the pink pony she planned to sleep a little to see if her headache would go away. When they reached a door, Luna opened the door with her magic. Pinkie Pie hopped into the room and her eyes widened in awe. The bedroom was a turquoise color, the bed blanket was blue and had designs of cupcakes and sweets, the wall had turquoise stripes and also had a balcony. Pinkie Pie went to Luna all happy. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I loved it!” Pinkie Pie started jumping happily around Luna. Luna would never understand how and why Pinkie Pie had so much energy and never got tired.
Celestia led the way in a hall. Rarity and Applejack didn’t recognize this part of the castle, as they had never explored the castle before, but Twilight Sparkle did, this was the path that led up to her room when she was still studying at Canterlot. Would Twilight sleep in the same room as her foalhood? She hoped so. The princess stopped and opened a door with her magic. “This is your room, Rarity.”
Rarity went to the bedroom entrance, stars appeared in her eyes and she placed her hooves on her cheeks. “By the stars, princess! This room is fabulous!” the room was white, had a balcony, the blanket had pale blue diamond designs, similar to her Cutie Mark.
“Did you like the room, Rarity?” asked Celestia, smiling.
Rarity lay down on the floor and started kissing the golden perk which had on Celestia’s hoof. “I loved! I loved! I loved! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
Celestia didn’t know what to feel and say about it. Twilight Sparkle noticed this and looked at Rarity not happy. “Rarity! Stop this! Don’t you see that the princess is embarrassed?”
Rarity stopped what she was doing, looked at Celestia before getting up and bowing. “Forgive me, princess.”
“It’s okay, Rarity,” said Celestia, now smiling.
Rarity stopped bowing while smiling, she watched Celestia leave with Applejack and with Twilight, on the back of the lavender unicorn was Spike. Rarity wondered what her friends rooms would be like. Would it be as fabulous as hers?
Twilight Sparkle looked at Applejack, a little sadly. “Applejack, I still don’t understand why our other three friends joined Princess Luna. Don’t they realize that Princess Luna betrayed Equestria?”
Applejack looked at Twilight Sparkle. “I also don’t understand Twilight, and it was with their help that we managed to defeat Nightmare Moon and Discord.”
Although Twilight Sparkle looked hopeless, she wasn’t going to give up. “I will think of something, Applejack. Don’t worry.”
The two mares and the dragon heard the sound of a door opening, they looked at Celestia and saw the princess opening a door. Celestia looked at Applejack. “This is your room, Applejack.”
Applejack entered the room and saw that it had a balcony, the wallpaper was light blue stripes and the bed blanket was pink with an apple pattern. She entered the room and lifted the two front hooves. “Eeehaa! Now that’s more i liked it!” Applejack looked at Celestia and bowed. “Thank you, princess.”
“You’re welcome.” Celestia started walking again, Twilight Sparkle followed her.
As they walked, Twilight Sparkle started to think of a way to bring her other friends to the Solar Empire, but at the moment she didn’t see any ideas in her head. The unicorn looked at Celestia. “Princess, will more ponies be joining in the Solar Empire?”
Celestia looked at Twilight Sparkle. “Yes Twilight, tomorrow I will announce what happened between me and my sister and ask to join me.”
“Will everypony be joining you, princess?” asked Twilight Sparkle, concerned.
“I hope so,” said Celestia. She and Twilight stopped. Celestia opened a door with her magic. “This is your room, Twilight.”
Twilight Sparkle looked at the room and realized it was the same room she slept in when studying Princess Celestia’s tutelage whenshe was living in Canterlot. Twilight Sparkle looked at Celestia with a smile. “Thank you, princess.”
“You’re welcome, my dear student,” said Celestia, smiling.
Twilight Sparkle was in doubt. “Princess, how will training be?”
“The training took place in the castle garden. Training will take place after breakfast. You and the others will have two types of training: Attack and defense.”
“Are we going to use any weapons? Are you going to use any weapons?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“You and the other unicorns will use your magic, pegasus and Earth pony will use blows. And to answer your second question: No. As much as Luna has ceased to be my sister, I would never have the courage to hurt her. I will only use my magic as defense and attack,” said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle didn’t understand why Celestia wouldn’t use a sword to defend against Luna. After all, Luna betrayed Equestria a second time.
A royal guard approached Celestia and Twilight Sparkle. When he got very close, the guard bowed. “Princess, they need you in the throne room.”
“Thanks for letting me know. I’m already going. You can return to your post,” said Celestia.
The royal guard bowed before leaving. Twilight Sparkle watched her mentor leave. The unicorn didn’t know what to do to get her friends to join the Solar Empire. Why did three of your friends join Luna? Did they not realize that Luna betrayed Equestria and that Luna wouldn’t be a benevolent ruler like Celestia? What was she going to do?
Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy left their rooms to explore the place. They were now in a room where they had all the ponies that were part of the New Lunar Republic. In the room there was Earth Pony, unicorns, pegasus and bat ponies, the decoration had tapestries of moon, stars, Princess Luna and the symbol of the New Lunar Republic. The ponies were talking to each other, not noticing the three mares that had just arrived in the room. Fluttershy felt uncomfortable being surrounded by several ponies, Pinkie Pie was excited to meet them and Rainbow Dash was smiling, especially when the pegasus started to wonder if the Wonderbolts were here and if they was, would she have a chance of her join them? She hoped so.
The three mares started to walk in the room until the end of the room. The ponies didn’t seem to notice because they were busy talking. As they emerged from the crowd of ponies, they saw two doors. One on the left and one on the right. Fluttershy looked at her friends. “Girls, which door should we go in?”
Pinkie Pie jumped for joy. “I know! I know! Uni duni te… ”
“Why don’t we vote? Who wants to go to the left door?” asked Rainbow Dash.
Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash lifted the hull. “Who wants to go to the right door?”
Nobody lifted the hloof. Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy. “Fluttershy, aren’t you going to vote?”
“It’s just ... I don’t know who to vote for ...” Fluttershy’s ears were down as she looked to the side. Rainbow Dash gave a facehoof.
“How about if we go to the left first?” asked Pinkie Pie.
“Ok ...” said Fluttershy in a low tone.
The three mares approached the door on the left. Rainbow Dash opened the door with a hoof. Inside there was a dining room next to the room, there was a kitchen. They went inside and went to the table. The table was dark blue with designs of a crescent moon and stars and had several chairs. There were so many chairs, it was impossible to know how many they had.
Fluttershy raised a hoof. “Oh my goodness, how much chair.”
Pinkie Pie was excited. “Oh! Will there be a birthday party?”
Rainbow Dash looked at Pinkie Pie. “Pinkie, the reason for having so many chairs is because there are so many ponies here.”
“Oh!” said Pinkie Pie.
Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash went to the kitchen to spy and saw several cooks making food. Pinkie Pie came over to spy too. The smell of food was very good. Pinkie Pie started to float because the smell was so good, but Rainbow Dash managed to put her back on the floor with a hoof.
“Let’s get out of here,” whispered Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie nodded before they sneaked out of the room.
As they left the room, the mares went to the door on the right and saw three doors, there was one on the left, one on the right and one at the end of the hall, but it wasn’t that far from the other doors. They decided to go to the left first. When opening, they saw a bathroom, it had a sink, a towel to dry the face, a huge bathtub and a toilet. The bathroom was white.
“What a huge bathtub! It is much bigger than the of Sugarcube Corner!” Pinkie Pie went to the bathtub and put the hooves on while moving them around.
“This bathroom is much bigger than the one in my cottage,” said Fluttershy.
“This bathroom had to be twenty percent cool,” said Rainbow Dash, a little disappointed. “But are we going to explore the rest?”
“Sure, Rainbow,” said Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy in unison.
Rainbow Dash led the way. Rainbow Dash was starting to realize that she was leading, it made her feel happy, because although Twilight Sparkle was always the leader of the Mane six, Rainbow always wanted to have a chance to lead, she just didn’t tell Twilight that because she knew that the unicorn wouldn’t leave her. They decided to go to the right now. When they opened the door, they were surprised to see a large telescope.
“An observatory ...” said Pinkie Pie.
Rainbow Dash had already used a telescope to spy on Fluttershy when she and Pinkie Pie were going to make a prank on her, but Pinkie Pie said they shouldn’t do that, since Fluttershy was the most sensitive and would be hurt, even with the most innocent prank. The pegasus approached the telescope, she never saw the stars in a telescope but she has seen the stars in the sky when she was just a filly. The night has always been her favorite period, as she liked to spend a lot of time awake at night and spent most of the day sleeping on top of a cloud. Rainbow Dash put her eyes close to the eyepiece and saw several constellations in the sky and the full moon, she took her eyes away from the eyepiece and got wide-eyed.
Fluttershy noticed her friend’s expression and was concerned. “Rainbow, is everything okay?”
“This ... is ... awesome!” Rainbow Dash made a move and looked at Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. “Fluttershy. Pinkie Pie. You both need to look through the eyepiece at the sky.
Pinkie Pie was jumping up to the telescope. “Me first! Me first!” Pinkie Pie approached the eyepiece and when looking through the eyepiece she couldn’t help but deny that the night was beautiful. Pinkie Pie looked at her friends. “Do you know what that means?”
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy shook their heads. “A party!”
“Pinkie, I think now is not the right time to have a party,” said Rainbow Dash.
Pinkie Pie was confused. “Why not, Dashie?”
“We’ll have to have dinner in a little while and then we’ll have training.”
“How about having a party after training?” asked Pinkie Pie.
“I think you can do it after the training.”
“Girls, can I look in the telescope now? That’s if it’s okay for you two…” said Fluttershy.
“Go ahead, Fluttershy.” Pinkie Pie made room for Fluttershy to go to the telescope.
Fluttershy went to the telescope, approached the eyepiece and looked, she couldn’t help agreeing with the two that tonight was beautiful.
Suddenly, they heard footsteps. Rainbow Dash entered in front of Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy protectively, she had her wings spread. A Lunar Guard appeared at the door. Rainbow Dash stopped what she was doing and her wings closed. “The dinner is ready. Princess Luna is waiting for the three of you.”
“Come on.” Rainbow Dash spread its wings to fly to the dining room, Pinkie Pie started to skip and Fluttershy started walking normally. As Fluttershy was the last to leave the observatory, she closed the door with a hoof.
Luna was sitting in a chair waiting for Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, the other ponies were already at the table eating. She still couldn’t believe that it had ponies that stood beside her. But she was still happy that three mares that saved her from Nightmare Moon joined her. Luna never imagined that Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash would have joined her. Luna’s main reasons for thinking that the three mares wouldn’t join her were simple: Luna thought that Fluttershy would join Celestia because she was a benevolent ruler and that she would never become evil, Pinkie Pie would join because Celestia was much happier than her and Rainbow Dash wanted to join Celestia was due to the pegasus having the element of Loyalty. But it looks like it didn’t happen, and she was relieved about it.
The princess of the night heard footsteps and saw Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. Rainbow smiled with pride, Fluttershy smiled sweetly and Pinkie Pie smiled happily. They realized that it had three free seats where Luna was sitting. Rainbow sat on Luna’s left side, Fluttershy on the right side and Pinkie Pie on Rainbow Dash’s left side. Luna looked first at Rainbow Dash then at Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. “Did you three have fun exploring?”
“Yes, Princess Luna,” said the three mares in unison.
“Have you explored the observatory yet? For me, it’s the best place here,” said Luna.
“Yes Princess Luna, and your night is very beautiful today,” said Fluttershy.
“Thank you, dear Fluttershy. You have no idea how much these compliments mean to us,” said Luna.
Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy were confused. “Us?”
“It’s the Royal We. It serves to refer to me and the subjects,” said Luna.
“Oh! Now it makes sense,” the three looked at Pinkie Pie. “You know, for a moment I thought you were referring to you and Nightmare Moon.”
When Luna heard the word “Nightmare Moon”, she was sad and her ears were lowered. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy noticed the princess’s expression and looked at Pinkie Pie not happy. “Pinkie!”
Pinkie Pie was confused. “What’s it?”
After the ponies finished eating, Luna led the way. “Princess Luna, where will the training be?”
“It will be in the training room,” said Luna.
“Princess Luna, do you know if you will train us or be another pony?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“We and the leader of the republic will train all of you,” said Luna.
The princess of the night and the ponies passed through a large room. Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie recognized the room. This was the same room that the ponies were talking to before. Luna opened the door and walked straight to the end of the hall. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy realized that they were going to the room that they hadn’t yet seen. Did that door lead to the training room?
Upon reaching the end of the corridor, Luna opened the door with her magic, the princess watched her subjects enter the room, when everpony entered she entered and closed the door with her magic. The training room was huge, huge enough to hold more than a hundred ponies. The color of the wall was dark blue, the wall had two papers. The first paper showed Luna in the form of when she was released from Nightmare Moon the colors present were red, yellow and gray, her expression was a smile and it was written: “Resist.” While the other paper white and showed Luna in her form current the color of your skin in the photo was black, on the mane had more stars than normal, but the mane, the crown and the eyes remained the same, on top there was the symbol of the New Lunar Republic, Luna’s expression on the second paper was serious and was written below: “Rise Up For A New Lunar Republic.” When Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash saw the two papers on the wall, they had different reactions: Fluttershy felt nervous, Pinkie Pie smiled and even started laughing a little and Rainbow Dash smiled with pride, since her loyalty belonged to Luna now.
“Welcome, ponies,” Rainbow, Pinkie and Fluttershy looked at the hooded pony. “Welcome to your first day of training. I will be in charge of organizing the training for all of you, Princess Luna will observe the training for each of you and will help if any of you are in doubt or if you need advice and help for fights. ”
Luna went to the hooded pony. “Form pairs, and then the unicorns take a sword and the Pegasus spears to start your training, but if you want to fight without a weapon it can.”
Pinkie Pie raised a hoof. “Can it be a trio?”
“It can, but it will be a little more difficult that way,” said the hooded pony.
“Uhu! I’m going to train with my best friends!” Pinkie Pie grabbed Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash with their hooves.
“For those who recently joined, the unicorns will attack with their magic, but they can use swords if they want, Pegasus can use blows and spears, Earth pony will use only blows, Bat Ponies will use their wings to knock out the Empire Ponies and Luna will use her sword,” said the hooded pony.
A bat pony raised a hoof. “Is Princess Luna going to train too?”
“Yes. She will train with me,” replied the hooded pony. “Good training for everypony.”
The unicorns and Pegasus went to where it had swords and spears. The unicorns took swords and Pegasus took spears. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy decided that they wouldn’t use any spears. Pinkie Pie took her party cannon.
“Think fast!” Rainbow Dash was thrown away. “Pinkie! What happened to you? Why did you throw me away ?!”
“I’m sorry, Dashie, but this is my technique that I will use when the day comes when we went to attack the Solar Empire,” said Pinkie Pie.
Rainbow Dash smiled. “I have to admit, until this technique of taking the enemy by surprise is good.”
“Thank you, Dashie. What will be your attack technique? And the defense one?” asked Pinkie Pie.
“My attacking technique will be punches and kicks,” replied Rainbow Dash. “I And my defense technique will be avoid flying.”
Pinkie Pie looked at Fluttershy. “What about you, Fluttershy? What will be your attack and defense technique?”
“I-i ... I ... I don’t know yet ...” Fluttershy scratched the knee of the front hoof.
Rainbow Dash gave a facehoof, again.
“Training is over! Unicorns must put the swords and the spears they used. You can go to sleep, ponies. Or stay awake up in the night of our princess.”
As the unicorns and Pegasus guarding swords and spears, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash left the training room. They didn’t plan to sleep yet. Fluttershy intended to stay on the balcony watching the night sky, Pinkie Pie planned to have some fun and Rainbow Dash would exercise in the bedroom.
