Chapter 5: The Honeymoon
At Las Pegasus...
"Alright! This place is pretty cool!", Sonic said. "Applejack and Fluttershy said that the pony who used to run this place was a spawn of hell."
"Well, he was evil, but he's been taken care of", Rainbow Dash replied. "Now, Flim and Flam run this place, despite their questionable methods."
"Can we trust them?", Sonic asked, understanding the threat they possessed to Applejack in the past.
"Let's hope so", Rainbow Dash answered.
In their hotel room...
There was a news report on TV about the seven World Rings. "Thanks to two mysterious heroes, two of the seven World Rings have been found." In her house, Lightning was also watching the report with interest. "Locals have claimed to see the Blue Ring, which is infused with the emotion of prayers according to this black creature, in Las Pegasus. However, only these two heroes can wield it."
"And if you're watching this Lightning, you don't stand a f***ing chance against the newlyweds!", Shadow, who had grabbed the microphone, shouted. However, Lightning only grinned evilly.
"Looks like I'm going to Las Pegasus", Lightning said. She flew off. However, Shadow attacked her, sending her plummeting to the ground.
"I had a feeling you wouldn't listen", the black hedgehog said. "Now... I gotta make sure you don't get that Ring." Lightning got up and missed a few punches. "Primitive being. The darkness cannot be defeated." He aimed a submachine gun at the villain. "I... am Shadow the Hedgehog. And this... is my gun." The gun rapidly fired bullets. However, Lightning grabbed it and Shadow got shot instead.
"This will be useful", Lightning said. Shadow was badly hurt.
Back at Las Pegasus...
"If that World Ring is here, we need to find it before Lightning!", Rainbow Dash said.
"But the report wasn't specific enough!", Sonic replied. "Plus, Lightning knows where it is now!"
"Then we'll...", Rainbow Dash started to say, but she vomited into a garbage can. She sighed. "I guess now's a good time to say it. Sonic, I'm pregnant." Suddenly, Shadow appeared, but he was badly hurt.
"Shadow!", Sonic shouted.
"She's coming...", Shadow weakly said. Using the power of the Chaos Emeralds, Sonic healed his dark counterpart. "I learned in Logan to not be what Eggman's grandfather made me to be." He teleported away to warn the ponies about the coming conflict. Gospel Of Dismay played over the radio.
Let's hope this time we can get this band back together again!

Welcome to the gospel of dismay.
Lightning was nearing Las Pegasus, submachine gun in hoof. A fully revived Shadow catapulted himself into the air and grabbed Lightning, sending them both tumbling to the ground. "If you were good enough, maybe Maria would still be alive", Lightning said. Shadow's eyes grew wide with terror. A flashback revealed that Maria Robotnik, Shadow's old friend, was mortally wounded by a GUN Soldier's gunshot. Using the distraction to her advantage, Lightning delivered a hard punch to the immortal creature's jaw. He grabbed her throat and held her at gunpoint.
"Do't mention her name", he growled. He tossed her aside. Sonic joined him. "Where's Rainbow Dash?"
"She can't fight because she's pregnant", Sonic answered. The moment he said that, Lightning grabbed Shadow's gun and flew off towards Las Pegasus. "NO!" Using the Chaos Emeralds, the duo transformed into SuperSonic and SuperShadow and followed the villain.
In the room...
Lightning aimed the gun at Rainbow Dash. "You will never live to give birth to another annoying speedster!", Lightning screamed. Suddenly, Sonic and Shadow arrived and brawled with Lightning. "You sons of-" She couldn't finish what she was saying as she was thrown out of the room. Sonic ran over to his pregnant wife and kissed her. Shadow aimed his gun at Lightning... and fired. The bullet went through her left wing, sending her plummeting to the ground.
"Direct hit!", Shadow said. He gave a thumbs-up to the couple as they looked on.
