Chapters (May-29-2024)
Somewhere in the United States of america in the dead of night, there was a family returning from a trip. It was a family of four two parent's and a young adult, and a 13 years old girl. The young adult is the main character of our story he stood at an even 5 foot 10, he had a fairly thin body, he had black hair and blue eyes, as for his facial expressions he always looked bored even when he was relaxed his face always made him look bored, even when he wasn't he sat in the back right behind the front passenger seat, his head rested on his hand as he looked out a window. He looked over to his sister, she was maybe thirteen hard to tell her night when she is sitting down but she wore a white t-shirt, and blue jeans, her skin was pale she wasn't really much of an outdoors girl.
Her hair was black like her brothers, but her eyes were green, her name is Lily. "Hey dad, how much longer till we reach town?" The young man asked his father. His father was a few inches taller than his son, his body was muscular unlike his sons, he was blonde and his eyes green.
"Not much longer Silas." His father told him then the mother joined in. She had long black hair, and blue eyes, and the same bored expression like her son.
She wore a long blue dress which showed she also had a think body so you can guess Silas took more from his mother than his father. As their hometown came into view suddenly a bright light blinded the father.
"I can't believe this." The mother said agitated by the light, as she pulled out a cigarette, then lit it
"I see it, this guy's not paying attention to his high beam." The father said, lifting one of his hands to block the light.
As the car with high beams on passed, and their eyes reaguested to the current light level, they saw a man in the middle of the road next to a car with its hood open. "WATCH OUT!" The mother screamed making the father jerk the wheel to the side, making the car swerve off the road, the car crashed into the tree stump, but it didn't stop there as the colishen launched into the air, and crashed into the ground as it continue to room down the deep slop.
Inside the car, Lily was screaming as the windows shattered, and the glass flew everywhere causing small cuts on the families bodies. The car hit a tree after tree breaking off the vehicle's wheels as it rolled down the hill before finally hitting one finally tree which stop them form rolling any further.
(Sometime later)
After half an hour Silas woke up to see the accident he found himself in the middle off. All of the windows were broken, and the smell of gasoline filled the air as he felt the wetness on his knuckles, as he realized he was upside down, and his hands rested on the roof of the car.
The only thing other than the gas he saw leak from the car, and his family, he could only see his gold pocket watch, which he got only hours ago if you opened the cover to look at the time you could also see a picture of him and his family smiling as they looked at the camera. It was tied around his neck by a thin gold chain.
He felt a sudden pain like his head was hit by several sledgehammers. He lifted his hand, and placed it on his head only to pull it away as the pain intensified. He brought his hand in front of his face to see blood covering his hand. Then in the distance, he could hear the faint sounds of sirens. He was filled with hope that him, and his family would be saved before anything truly terrible would happen, but his hopes were crushed when he saw the faint light of the cigarette his mother lit before they crashed.
It was mostly burnt out but it only takes a single spark to light a fire. He could hear his mother start to wake up but this also made his grip on the cigarette lose, making it start to lean towards the gasoline. As soon as her eyes began to open she dropped it lighting the gasoline then the only thing that could be heard for miles were the screams of the burning family. the screams later minutes before all that could be heard were sirens, and flames
System start Player chosen, extracting soul and prepping it for new vessal
In the castle of the two sisters where the main six were talking in the main entrance of the castle, something else was happening in the castle something that could change their fates, and the fate of Equestria forever.
(Silas POV)
I was staring at a stone ceiling, and I couldn't feel anything, no pain or confusion from where I was. I decided to sit up and look at myself. Though a normal person would scream or panic I did not, when I sat completely upright I saw only my bony legs. I lifted up my hand to see it was skelton was well, I could move the fingers just fine but i felt nothing, as I watched my bony fingers move.
I stood up shortly after, and checked to see if the rest of my body was the same. It was the same not a speck of flesh on my bony body.
"Welcome Player Known as Silas you have been randomly chosen to be sent to a random world, unfortunately, your body could not be salvaged so you were sent as a random race, you are now a skeleton one of the more common monsters in the world. You have also been granted a unique skill known as dungeon master to see the details open your status to see your skills."
A robotic female voice suddenly said its voice filling my mind.
I didn't pay much attention to it as I just started walking through the castle, but suddenly I heard a loud crashing sound through an archway. Attracted by the loud sound I walked through the archway to find myself on a balcony, then I heard a sound below making me look down over the edge of the balcony to see seven humans 3 of which had wings, one of them dawned in a dark blue armor, she stood at maybe 6 foot 3 her face was hidden by her helmet but her long ethereal hair the looked like it was made of stars, she held a spear, and had a set of black feathered wings which flared as she stared at the six other human girls.
The first one seemed to be the leader of the ground she stood at 5 foot 7 her hair was a dark purple with a streak of magenta I believe and another streak of pink right beside it, she wore a short sleeve purple shirt with a star in the center with a darker shade of purple with a white outline, and to go with it a purple shirt that went to her knees. The one to her left looked like a tomboy, she wore a leather jacket over her white t-shirt and wore black pants, but what drew my attention was her rainbow hair, and black fingerless gloves but then I saw something I didn't expect a set of azure feathered wings on her back.
The one beside the tomboy looked like a fashion girl her hair was purple and long, she wore a white long sleeved button down shirt, and a black skirt that hugged her hips and went to her knees she had a set of value feathered wings. The one to the right of the leader looked like a cowgirl, she wore a cowboy hat and a red short sleeved button down shirt, her short sleeves showed her muscular arms, she shifted her hat a bit, and I saw her long blonde hair, then I finally looked down to see her blue jeans, and cowboy boots.
I looked to the one next to the cowgirl to see a rather shy looking girl. Her hair was long, and pink, and she wore a yellow sweater, and green pants, she had wings as well. As for the last girl she had pink poofy hair, she wore a pink, and white striped shirt, and a frilly pink skirt, but now I finally saw the jewelry that they wore, but suddenly the armored women spoke.
"Hahaha you think I wouldn't prepare for those trinkets during my banishment." She said before lifting her spear off the ground.
"This isn't my problem.' I thought before beginning to walk away.
"Someone please help us!?" I heard one of the girls scream, making me stop abruptly.
Error
'Why am I walking away?' I asked myself as my head felt like it was clouded.
Error player race undead should be unable to feel emotions Error causing player's mental state to act irregularly
I could feel again all the sadness and panic I was supposed to be feeling suddenly flooding my mind, the screams of my family filled my mind as I fell to one knee.

The screaming started to fade but I could still feel the sadness and panic but at a much smaller degree. I rushed back to the edge of the balcony to see her about the charge of the six girls.
I jumped off the balcony to make my grand entrance, dust was lifted off the floor from the rush of air as I landed getting all of their attention.
The armored one started laughing as I noticed a sword at my feet. "This is it. this is your grand rescue, a lowly skeleton that even a child can defeat." The woman said as I grabbed an old sword with my right hand.
"Oh the pile of bones wants to fight, let's hope you're more of a challenge than these children." She said insultingly, as she looked over at the other six.
I wasn't experienced with this kind of sword but I had to try to save those girls. I charged toward the woman with the intent to kill, and just as she grabbed her spear with both hands she attacked her spear was perfectly aimed at my spine, but I realized what she was doing so I used my new body to my advantage. I moved ever so slightly to the left letting her spear just barely graze my spinal column as I swung my sword toward her head
I could see her eyes widen under her helmet. The woman reared her head back, but didn't get away unscathed as the sword sliced off the bottom half of her face guard. She stumbled backward with a look of confusion, but then that look turned to anger as she suddenly sprouted black wings.
She suddenly disappeared in a flash of light I was suddenly missing my right arm as a spear pierced through my shoulder. I looked to my right to see the woman there with a grin on her face as she literally disarmed me. I grabbed my arm as it fell, but as I grabbed it the sword already fell out of my served arm's hand but I didn't need it. I used my arm as a club to bash her head, her smug look vanishing as she stumbled backward with a shocked and embarrassed expression as I hit her while her guard was down.
She quickly recovered and then said. "It seems I underestimated you, well then as a reward I'll show you a fragment of my power." She said before her eyes faintly glowed then I suddenly fell to the ground.
After I hit the ground I lifted my head to see every part of my body was gone, except for my skull, one-third of my ribcage, and my left arm. "Oh I missed I meant to incinerate you completely, but it seems I've gotten rusty. Well with that much damage, you won't last much longer." I heard her say just as my bones started to slowly crack.
I saw a faint light to my left, so I turned my head to see the six girls floating in the air, a bright aura surrounded the six of them, as a rainbow was launched towards the armored woman when she wasn't looking. As she was struck by the rainbow, she screamed in pain as she collapsed on the ground, and I became more cracked by the second.
After the rainbow stopped I saw that the armored woman had changed, she was smaller maybe 5 foot 11, and wore a light blue dress, I couldn't see her very well my vision was starting to blur.
I laid my head back against the ground in contemplation, was I brought to this world just to die once more, so I could suffer just a little more?
In my contemplation I almost didn't notice another person entering the room, I could barely see her but that wasn't what drew my attention, what did was what she was standing on, was a circular golden object. My vision cleared but only around the small object.
It was my pocket watch, did whoever brought me here placed it there to torture me more, but it was the last thing I had to remember my family. I turned my body, and slowly crawled towards the pocket watch, my crawling seemed to attract the attention of the others in the room, as I saw their heads turn.
My bones started to crack more and more as I moved forward until I finally reached her, and reached under her foot to tug the watch. It didn't budge until she moved her foot, allowing me to pull the watch closer to me.
My fingers were now starting to crack as I opened the watch to get one final look at my family. I remembered all the happy moments we shared, but a great sadness filled me knowing that they died. I ran my thumb over the picture just as it broke apart, and turned to dust.
Darkness started to close in around me but I could still see the picture of my family, my life flashed before my eyes, my hopes, my dreams, my regrets, everything then finally the picture started to fade away into the darkness.

Chapter 3
It has been a few days since I created my dungeon and only a little has happened. I had put all of the zombies and most of the skeletons in the mine, but I sent the last few skeletons to the gardens. I thought at first I would only get one type of plan from the game, but it seems I already have access to all of them however they grew in small quantities, which means I had access to Blood Roses, Fire Blossoms, Snow Flowers, Mourning Lily, Hell's Clarion, Ghost Shroom, Sunflowers, Cotton, Plague Brier, Sacred Grapes, Trippy Shrooms, and Bleeding Hearts all of which could be used to make varies potions and some equipment however at the moment I did not have the means to make any of it as I needed other facilities to get the materials plus I needed to upgrade the mine to even get more ores and such.
I tapped my foot in frustration as I thought of what to do. I needed three more facilities before I could even think of relaxing, and the mining has not been very fruitful. Unlike the guardian which has everything the mine which refills over time was small and limited to the starter materials such as plain old stone, and copper, and as for the mana Prisms their appearance was inconsistent, sometimes it was there other times it was not, sometimes large, and sometimes small. It made me question even using it to create monsters and just save for facilities, but as it stood I didn't even have the means to create a stable source of blood essence.
“I need the graveyard,” I said biting my thumbnail. “Then I could solve my blood essence problem,” I muttered.
‘Blood essence can only be extracted from living beings, why would you need the graveyard?” Asked Pixel which left me confused.
“Wait aren't you supposed to know everything about my dungeon, you're the system aren't you?” I asked.
“Correction I am a subsystem, I was created to ensure your survival after your body was destroyed, I do not possess the extensive knowledge of the main system only what was needed for you to dungeon master and to operate it effectively.” Explained Pixel.
“Wait why to ensure my survival, what do you mean I thought you were created to serve me?” I asked.
“That is true I was created to sure you with the limited knowledge I possess, but I was also created because after your body was destroyed you began rejecting the system, and thus a new system needed to be created to ensure your survival, thus after examining your memories I was created. Now please explain how the graveyard would help you create blood essence?” Asked Pixel as if she hadn't just dropped a bombshell on me.
‘Wait, this doesn't make sense.’ I thought, what would make me important enough to make a whole system just to keep me alive? What does the administrator want from me?
“I do not know but please explain?” Pixel asked and she was starting to get on my nerves with how pushy she was getting.
“Later, right now I need to check how much mana Prism I have and how much I need to purchase the graveyard, then I can just show you,” I told PIxel before I started walking until I came upon a staircase, and I could hear the faint sounds of mining below. “Looks like they are still hard at work that is good,” I said as I started to descend the stairs case.
When I eventually reached the bottom I saw zombies and skeletons striking at the coper viens with makeshift pickaxes made from wood and stone. They were poorly made but there was nothing I could do until I could get the smithy and hope I could use it to make things other than weapons. I looked at the haul for today to see they had mined a good amount of cooper that I could refine later into ingots and as for Mana prisms. I saw a small wooden crate filled with them. They looked like dark blue crystals. I got down on one knee and picked one of the large chunks up to examine it.
“Hmm, Pixel plus what we’ve stocked up how close are we to building a new facility,” I asked.
“You have about half of what is required to build a new facility,” Pixel explained which made me sigh. “It's progress,” I said, and I thought maybe I should start looking for other ways of getting Mana prisms other than this mine. ‘Hmm, maybe I can get somewhere those girls came from.’ I thought as I reminded the group of people that were at the castle, but were they humans I saw at least three or four of them with wings.’
“They could be considered a subspecies of humans, they are commonly called valkyries however two of the four you saw were demigods the women you fought were one of the two,” Pixel explained which made my train of thought come to a screeching halt when I heard that.
“So are you telling me?” I said pinching the bridge of my nose. “That I essentially bitch slapped a demi-goddess with my severed skeleton arm?” I asked for clarification.
Pixel answered with. “Yes, however, you need not worry after the Nightmare that possessed her and was in control at the time has been removed and placed in your care.” I was so thankful for my mental fortitude otherwise I think I might have started panicking.
“What do you mean it was left in my care,” I said slowly anger arising inside me.
“One of the regards for helping to defeat Nightmare Moon was the essence of Nightmare, along with a message from the Administrator would you like to hear it?” Pixel asked.
At this point, I didn't care anymore. “Fine, read it to me,” I told her.
“The message is as follows…Acquire the second Nightmare, and using the crypt you can acquire a servant unlike any other… end of message.” Pixel said.
“Second Nightmare so there is another one of those things out there, and what does the crypt have to do with any of this.” I took a deep breath to clear my head as I stood up. “Alright one problem at a time, first we got to get the blood essence situation figured out,” I told myself but it was hard to focus on one thing when so many others were coming at me all at once.
“Ok, where is the Nightmare now?” I asked.
“For the moment it has been sealed away until you build the crypt,” Pixel told me which set me at ease a little since I dont have to worry about that for a while.
“Any other surprises the Administrator left me?” I asked.
“Yes, a world map, which you can summon at will,” Pixel Informed me.
“Well, that is a big help,” I said before I focused and a screen with a map appeared in front of me. “Alright let's see here if those girls were human there has to be a town somewhere nearby,” I said as I started touching the map which allowed me to zoom in and move it around.
“It can't be that far,” I said before I found a small town that was not that far from the edge of the forest called ponyville… PONYville. “What the fuck kind of name is ponyville,” I said with confusion as I reread it to make sure that it was correct and it was.
“Well, this world sure is interesting I will say that,” I said before I looked at where the town was and how far away I was. It looked like when I left the castle I went in the exact opposite way of the town which was annoying. “Alright, but if I’m going there I’m going to have to learn to take on a human disguise.
“Warning, if you shapeshift you will not be able to use your other abilities to their fullest.” Pixel quickly warned me.
“Oh, that's good to know,” I said. “And by how much?” I asked.
“It depends on the form you take and if you are physically incapable of using a skill it will be sealed until you take a form that can,” Pixel explained.
“I guess that makes sense, but even so it's best I stick around till I have enough monsters to guard the dungeon, and how much would it take to upgrade my dungeon?” I asked.
“Around 20 times what you currently have,” Pixel told me.
“Fuck, I’m going to need another source of mana prisms if I'm going to make the dungeon stronger.” I groaned. “I know humans probably have them to make weapons and armor but are there any other ways?” I asked.
“You could raid other dungeons but that is not advisable as you are the weakest dungeon in the forest.” Pixel told me which didn't make me very confident.”
“And how many are there?” I asked
“There are currently 4 other dungeons in the Everfree. The Timber Kings Dungeon which stretches throughout the forest, the Dark Pixie Dungeon is located in the darkest region of the forest and guarded by a magic mist, the Serpentine Dungeon is underground, and the Gargoyle Dungeon is located on a mountain within the confines of the forest. All other dungeons that used to exist have all been wiped out by the timber king, those three have managed to survive by hiding.” I listened to Pixel's explanation intently
“This Timber king is bad news, if he finds me I won't survive,” I said now regretting building my dungeon in such a visible place. “Can I move my dungeon?” I asked.
“The only way for a dungeon to be moved is for it to be destroyed by a hostile force and the dungeon master build another elsewhere,” Pixel said quickly shooting down my idea of moving somewhere more discreet.
“Damn it,” I said hitting the wall next to me, making the entire surface crack. “I’m moving all monsters to the mine if a mana prism shows up I want it mined immediately,” I said in frustration as I opened the dungeon menu and gave the order, and so another day passed and I stayed vigilant standing on the rampart of my dungeon to see if I could spot any movement amongst the trees. But the canopy was so thick it was hard to see anything and I couldn’t even use sanguine sight to spot those wolves. But I did see a few interesting things as I did my rounds.
Using my Sanguine sight I saw something small through the canopy it didn't look like an animal or anything, but more like a large butterfly. I almost passed it off before I saw that it had arms and legs. “Is it a dark pixie?” I wondered. I could tell it was looking up at my dungeon, and it wasn't the only one.
I could see two other figures hiding amongst the trees. One had a humanoid shape at least from the head down, but it's head I couldn't quite make out, and the other was another humanoid with a bulkier frame and wings on its back. “Spies from the other dungeons no doubt,” I muttered under my breath I was already discovered. I wanted to go down them and perhaps speak to them, but I decided against that as I could be seen as hostile, not only that they seemed to be working together. The best move right now was to wait to see what the other dungeons do.
I considered it a small miracle that I hadn't been found by the Timber Wolf King yet. I went back inside and checked on the mine to see that the generation of Mana prism was much higher than normal, another small miracle. “Pixel will this be enough to get the graveyard?” I asked looking at the dark blue crystal sticking out of the stone walls.
“Yes, it just barely meets the requirement but it must first be mined and brought to the core of the dungeon,” Pixel said and I grinned as one problem was about to be solved.
“Good very good,” I said with a grin as I picked up a pickaxe and started to mine chunks of mana prism to get things going quicker. It took a whole hour to mine out everything I needed now all we had to do was move it into place. I started to have the zombies and skeletons move the crates of Mana Prisms to the dungeon core.
I led the group of monsters through the dungeon while carrying a crate of mana prisms before I kicked open a door. Inside was the core. A stone altar surrounded by blood with talon-like protrusions sticking out and reaching for a giant sphere of blood that hovered over it .
“Come on hurry up place them around the core,” I told the undead as I placed my crate at the altar's base. The undead soon followed placing their crates around the base, I then opened the dungeon menu before I purchased the graveyard. Immediately after pressing it tendrils of blood reached out from the orb and as if dragging a man to hell snatched the mana prisms and utterly tore apart the crats that held them and one zombie that stood too close had its left legs torn off. The scene was quite disturbing to see, even though I had seen stuff like that in movies, but to see something like that happen right in front of me.
I held back the vomit and calmed my nerves. “I guess mental fortitude can't completely keep me calm after that,” I said. “Pixel is it done?” I asked.
“Yes, the graveyard has been constructed,” Pixel informed me.
“Good, now zombies, skeletons follow me,” I said before I started to lead them on a search for the new facility which took a while to find, and while I was at it, I dropped by the garden to grab an arm of blood roses that had been collected. It took a while but I finally found the graveyard.
As expected it looked like a pretty gloomy place filled with tombstones and before I could get started Pixel chimed in. “Now are you going to tell me how the graveyard will fix your blood essence problem?” She asked.
“Well, I believe I said I would just show you,” I said before I started to place the blood roses on the tombstones causing them to react. The stones started to glow and shift as the ground beneath them started to move as if it were alive. “You are to kill anything that rises from these graves and bring their remains to the laboratory,” I told my minions.
Suddenly the arms of skeletons burst up from the ground and started to dig themselves out. However, as ordered my undead started to utterly decimate them newly risen before they could even pull themselves out from their graves. So I decided to leave this to them as I got everything else I needed. I started to walk back to the garden before I heard something falling down the stairs. I stopped and looked and just as I was about to look up the staircase that led to the manor the zombie that lost its leg flew by me and hit the ground hard cracking its skull open. I immediately fell to my knees and vomited then and there.
After emptying the contents of my stomach, I wiped my mouth and took a few deep breaths. I eventually got back to my feet and looked at the now-dead zombie before I went on my way. I went to the garden and grabbed plant fibers that had also been harvested before I went to the laboratory. There was the vermin nest , but not just that but there was also an alchemy table used for potions and the like, and the advanced blood press was the key to it all. I was happy that I immediately had the advanced blood press, which will make things so much easier seeing how it's more than twice as fast as the previous version.
“I still fail to see how any of this will give you blood essence.” Said Pixel.
“Dont worry, you’ll soon see,” I told her as the undead arrived carrying many bones.
“Good Good, now,” I said before I walked over to the vermin nest, and as I touched it a screen appeared with the various recipes. “Oh, this is how it works uh,” I said as I brought up the plant fibers I had and touched them against the screen, and like a vacuum they were sucked in. “Alright start stuffing the bones in it,” I told them as I stepped to the side and let the undead line up as they started to feed the bones into the screen which absorbed them. After only a few bones the machine roared to life as a green glow rose from the grats in the ground and the front opening and top of the vermin nest.
“Seems to work pretty much the same as ingame,” I said pleased as after a few seconds a rat climbed out of the grat I was quick to grab it. The rat struggled in my grasp as I looked at it. “Watch me now,” I told them. “After you catch the rats, I want you to put them in here,” I told them as I approached the blood press and opened a screen that allowed me to put the rat inside.
The undead seemed to understand me perfectly, but even though they understood without my enhanced reflexes and speed they struggled. It was quite fun to watch them fumble around and trip over one another as they tried to catch the rats, it was almost like watching children. But eventually, we got enough rats for it to start working. The compressors on both sides of the press went up and down whether it was just for effect or that rats were being crushed inside I didn't want to know. But soon 4 rats were turned into 10 blood essences.
“Ahh, I see now using this method you can be completely self-sufficient when it comes to blood essence,” Pixel said with a tone I could only guess was surprise.
“Yes, but rats alone dont provide much, but with time I am sure I can get plenty plus greater blood essence and primal blood essence,” I said I looked at the screen of recipes, with a smile on my face but it soon fell. All the recipes I had seen had been the same as in-game, but this. This was just insane.
The original recipe for greater blood essence was 200 essence to make one greater, but now it was 2000, and with primal it was 8 greater to make 1 primal now it's 500.
“Well, I guess I should just focus on making more monsters for now,” I said then I decided to look at something I tapped on the screen and pulled out a single blood essence. It looked like a small round ball of blood that hovered above my hand, and as I looked at it something felt odd. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as I looked at it. My mouth felt dry, and my throat parched. Then suddenly without a thought I put it in my mouth and swallowed it. As it went down my throat my entire body felt renewed and restored it was a wonderful feeling, but I also felt hollow as if I had lost a piece of myself.
It took a moment for me to come to my senses and start trying to throw it up to no avail. “You should get used to it now, as time progresses you will need to acquire more blood and life force not just to survive but also to use skills such as blood regeneration,” Pixel told me but it didn't make it any better.
I stopped trying to force myself to throw up before I got to my feet and just tried to forget about it for now. “Just do what you can to keep these going,” I told the undead before I left the lab in order to clear my head. I went outside and as the sun shined on my face I took a deep breath and sighed.
Even though I have had time to adjust to my new body, I am surprised by how little control I actually have over it. I had consumed the blood essence but I could even put together what was happening. “I’ll just have to stay away from the lab for a while,” I told myself, but I couldn't help but think back to what Pixel told me, to survive I will need to drink blood.
“I will just have to take this one day at a time, I just hope I dont lose myself along the way,” I muttered under my breath before I went back inside hoping tomorrow might be a little easier.
It has been a full week since I had gotten a steady source of blood essence and things have been progressing smoothly not only that I had unlocked two more facilities, the workshop, and the smithy. Also for the ranks of the undead it has grown quite a bit though I hit a few bumps along the way. Creating undead using the dungeon is as easy as pressing a button, however, the more I buy a certain monster the price increases, but goes down after some time. I can only guess this was put in place to keep dungeon masters from growing their forces too quickly.
But at the moment I had around 60 skeletons, and zombies, with them being on the weaker side when it comes to monsters comes with the boon of being cheap. Plus with my two new facilities, I could now create copper weapons, and not just the ones from the game, but a variety of other weapons as well but I also ran into some problems there. Neither the skeleton nor the zombies could either wield or properly use some of the heavier weapons such as the mace. When a skeleton tried to pick up the giant mace from the game their arms fell off, and zombies while they could lift it kept falling over when they attempted to swing it. But then there was also the crossbows and longbows.
The skeletons didn't have the strength to pull them back, and zombies were incredibly inaccurate. So for now I am limited to using spears, swords, and other similar lighter weapons. The smithy could also make copper armor which I have already given to the zombies, but the armor proved too heavy for the skeletons to use. As for the spies from the other dungeons, they have reappeared now and then, sometimes alone other times in a duo or trio, but I have not attempted to communicate with them.
“So what should I do?” I asked myself as I paced. “If I talk to them, I might be able to ally myself with them, but they could also leak my location to save themselves,” I muttered, but now wasn't a good time to worry myself, I had to learn how to use my powers properly, but I also spared some time to get used to wielding my poleaxe.
I was in the courtyard of my dungeon, trying to learn how to shapeshift so I could visit that town, but so far my efforts had been fruitless. “I think I’ll need another vampire to teach me how to do this, but where am I going to find one,” I thought frustrated at myself. “Hmm, maybe the crypt,” I muttered, the administrator mentioned it before. Maybe I could use it somehow, but first I would have to get it which would take a few days to gather the necessary Mana Prisms.
“Hmm, I wonder what I should do today.” I wondered as I started to wander the castle. But my leisurely walk was interrupted by a large boom outside. I immediately started running till I shoved open the door to see what was going on. What I saw terrified me. I saw my undead on the ramparts struggling to hold off timber wolves that were scaling the walls.
“DAMN IT!” I yelled as I grabbed my poleaxe off my back and charged onto the rampart to help repel the timberwolves. I grabbed one that was biting the leg of a zombie and tossed it over the wall before I looked over to see how many were attacking us. The normal timberwolves seemed to be using the stairs to get up, and once they reached the gate they started piling on each other to get over the gatehouse and onto the rampart. But at the bottom of the mountain were giant timber wolves the size of large trucks struggling to climb the wall of the mountain so all they could do was bark and howl from below as their smaller counterparts did all the work.
“Fuck, I thought I would have more time,” I said as I shoved my first into one of the timberwolves and pulled out its core. “These timberwolves have a core crush or break them to kill them,” I told my monsters. After I told them that the tides had turned a bit but not by much. “Spearmen, form a line and keep these beasts off the wall. Everyone else take care of those already on the rampart!” I shouted. Skeletons who wield spears formed up around the gatehouse and used their spears to push back the timberwolves that climbed over their comrades. Some of them were pushed off the mountain altogether while others had a spear embedded in their head or chest as they tried to lunge at the skeleton phalanx.
The line was holding as I and the rest managed to take care of the wolves that initially got through our defenses, and I took a chance to look at my losses. Just by taking a glance, it seemed at least half of my monsters were done for but with the few I had it would be simple to hold the choke point at the gatehouse, and I knew that we could push them back as long as we held the line. Well, that was what I thought before I heard a roar that shook me to my very core.
I started to look around as my heart beat a thousand times a second, then I saw it. A giant Timberwolf that towered over the canopy of the forest, and as our eyes met it let out another roar.
“Pixel, is that?” I asked nervously.
“It’s the Timberking, you have to get out of here, RUN!” Pixel screamed in my head.
“Run, run where we’re surrounded,” I told her as the Timber king started walking towards my dungeon. “Damn it, Damn it, Damn it!” I yelled at the top of my lungs, there was only one chance of survival, and that was to use my remaining monsters to open a path for my escape. “Forward, throw those beasts off the mountainside,” I ordered. The skeletons spearmen pushed forwards by there were far to many, and even though wolves were being tossed off the side of the mountain every few seconds more and more took their place, they did not care about their own lives, they merely attacked like mindless drones.
“It's too late,” said Pixel, her voice filled with sorrow. I turned my head to see the Timberking standing in front of me with its maw wide open, and a sphere of emerald green energy floating in its mouth before there was a flash of light, then nothing.
“Silas wake up, wake up.” I heard bringing me back to the waking world. As I took a deep breath I started to cough harshly before I opened my eyes. Everything was gone, not just the castle but the entire mountain was wiped off the map leaving only a smoking crater in its place. I tried to get up but my body was immediately wracked with immense pain. “Don’t move, your body is still healing from that attack. You're lucky if it had decided to eat you instead of blasting you and your dungeon with that blast of magic you would have been done for, but after you heal you need to get more blood fast.” Pixel informed me.
“What are you talking about? I thought Pure Bloods could AAAhhh!” I yelled in pain as I tried lifting my head.
“Yes, but you've been running on fumes since you were reborn, that blood essence you absorbed is the sole reason you are even capable of speaking right now and its energy has just about run out, you’ll need more blood to fully heal yourself with how big that blast was there might have been some wildlife caught in the blast, it's best you start looking immediately or you won't last much longer,” Pixel informed me.
As much as I detested her logic, I knew she was right. I need blood to survive. It took almost everything I had to fight back the pain and lift my head to see what had become of me. And it reminded me of when I was a skeleton. Almost everything below my chest was gone, and I only had one arm, but only the lower half of my forearm had any muscle on it leaving the upper half and my hand as exposed skeleton. Strangely enough, I was able to move my skeletal fingers. I grunted in pain as I pushed on the ground and rolled over onto my chest. My skeletal fingers dug into the dirt as I pulled myself away from the crater, letting out quiet winces of pain as I did so.
“That's good, keep moving,” Pixel told me encouragingly. I ignored her as I focused all of my attention on fighting the pain that wracked what remained of my body every time I moved. As I struggled to pull myself forward I heard something not too far away. It sounded like an animal, but what I did not know, but I didn't have any other option but to slowly crawl towards the source. After crawling a few more feet I saw what was making the sound. An unfortunate deet was caught under the trunk of a tree that had fallen from the force of the blast. It let out bleats and cried out in pain as I slowly inched towards it as thoughts raced through my mind which now seemed strangely calm.
‘I have to do this, there is no other way. To survive, there is no other choice but to become the monster this world is forcing me to be.’ I thought as I inched closer and closer. ‘To be the monster that the Administrator made me.’ I thought as I reached the deer and as it tried to kick me away with its hoof I grabbed it by the neck, and with all the strength I had left, I pulled myself close and latched onto its neck with my teeth puncturing its veins with my fangs.
‘TO SURVIVE, I MUST DEVOUR WHOEVER OR WHATEVER STANDS IN MY WAY!’ I could feel the blood of the deer flow into me not only restoring my body but my strength as well. The deer struggled against me as it tried to save itself, but eventually, its struggle weakened until it stopped. At that point, I felt completely restored and pulled myself off of the deer who stared up at me lifelessly. With a heavy heart, I took a deep breath and sighed before I reached up and closed it's eyes.
“I’m sorry, and thank you.” I said as I petted its head. I gently rested its head on the ground before standing up and looking at myself. My body was fully healed and also for some odd reason my clothes as well.
“It seems you've fully accepted your new self.” Pixel commented.
“Yes, I have,” I told her. “But that doesn't mean I like it, and I won't be some mindless bloodthirsty creature of the night, if I'm going to live in this world as a vampire, then I'm going to forge my own path, but first there is one thing I have to take care of,” I said as I clenched my fists. “The Timberking, I will bring him down no matter how long it takes,” I said with conviction, and even though I had never heard her say it, I could feel that Pixel agreed with me.
“Where to next?” Asked Pixel.
“Now that my dungeon is destroyed it gives me the option of moving it somewhere more secluded,” I said as I brought up the map. “I’ve been eyeing this place for a while, it's a little close to the Gargoyle dungeon you told me about before but it's out of sight,” I said as I pointed at a spot on the map. “But before we go do you know if my poleaxe survived?” I asked.
“Surprisingly yes it did, and it's not too far from where you are now, I'm surprised how durable it is,” Pixel said.
“It's made of dark silver, which makes it an end-game weapon only below Sanguine weapons, and ancestral weapons of purple grade and legendary,” I commented. “Now could you tell me where it is?” I asked.
“It's just a little to the south you can't miss it.” She told me. After she told me that I started looking around for it, it took awhile but I found it embedded in the side of a tree. I pulled it free before I started on my journey, but before I walked too far I turned around to stare at the smoking crater. I stood there for some time making sure I never forgot what I was up against. Finally, I turned around and started walking again. “This is far from over Timberking.”
I journeyed through the forest carefully to stay out of sight, but I did come close to being discovered on several occasions by patrols of timberwolves. Still, I managed to slip away without being seen. “So Pixel, how long do you think it would take for me to get as strong as the Timberking?” I asked.
“It depends on several things, how often you train, the level of your skills, the skills you acquire through training or using your Sanguine steal, there are many variables,” Pixel said as I traversed the forest for several hours before I finally reached my destination. The gargoyles tall mountain was surrounded by a few small ones which would provide a perfect hiding place for me to gather my strength. I walked until I found a small stream and followed it till I found a nice out of sight place between two mountains.
“This palace is perfect, I will declare it my dungeon.” I said with a grin. The very mountains started to shake as the stone wall started to fall apart and took shape turning into a magnificent entrance.
“It's a bit much but it’ll work.” I said before I walked inside to see the new layout of my dungeon. I spent the next hour or so familiarizing myself with the layout and locations of each of the facilities. “This will do just fine, all I need to do now is lay low and grow my strength, but my skills are still problematic, I just hope that the crypt can help.” I said as I pulled up a menu. “Seems my blood essence was saved as well, that's good.” I said as I bought a few monsters to start working around the dungeon. “Now that that's settled, I need to work on getting better with my Poleaxe.” I said as I started training for what is to come.
It had been 2 weeks since I had moved into my new dungeon, and I had been hard at work expanding my forces to the point where I had to use my undead to dig tunnels to make things less crowded, and now I had enough Mana Prisms to create the crypt.
“Alright now let's see what the crypt can do.” I said before I bought it, and just as I pressed it I heard a ringing sound that lasted a moment before it stopped.
“Silas, it seemed that after you constructed the Crypt, new information was unlocked. Would you like to hear it?” Pixel asked me.
“Of course.” I told her.
“There are several features the crypt provides. It serves as a resurrection point for your vampiric servants, and with each level, it seems you will automatically acquire two greater vampires, and the ability to create 2 vampires of the normal rank, both the greater and the normal vampires will be under the effects of hypnotic allure to insure their loyalty, as well as turn others into vampires.
“Wait can't I resurrect as well?” I asked.
“Yes, however, you have yet to create a place where you can resurrect yourself, and I am unsure how to do that,” Pixel informed me.
“Hmm, well anyways since you said they are under the effect of my hypnotic allure to make sure they are loyal to me I assume that the greater and normal vampires are fixed on females?” I asked.
“You are correct. But you can create male vampires but you would need to convert them.” She explained.
“Alright well lets go see my new servants.” I said before I pulled up my map and quickly located the crypt. I quickly made my way there and walked inside to see a row of coffins, but I saw nothing else in the room. “Pixel didn't you say I automatically acquired 2 greater vampires, where are they?” I asked as I looked around.
“Right here my lord.” said a voice, and I looked to the side, and from the shadows in the corner of the room walked out two women. The first women had milky white skin and matching white hair tied back in a ponytail. She stood at 5 foot 11 and her eyes were red, and her sclera black. She is dressed in a black split dress that hugged her body as well as showing her cleavage, and had a cape with a tall collar . “I am Yvraine, master.” She said bowing as I looked at the other one.
She stood at 6 foot even and had long red hair, and like Yvraine her eyes were red and black, she wore a more revealing dress that showed off a fair bit of her cleavage. She wore earrings and meal bracers on her arms . “And I am Washu.” She said as she bowed as well. I was surprised not only at how they looked very much like characters from anime, and games I know, but also how beautiful the pair were I was blushing. The two looked up at me and smiled before they stood up and approached me.
“No worries master, you needn’t hold back with us.” Said Yvraine as she stood at my side hugging my arm and pressed it in between her breasts.
“She’s right master, we are your to command and will do whatever you wish to the best of our abilities.” Said Washu as she stood in front of me cupping my face with her hands as she looked into my eyes with a loving expression on her face. I blushed even more as lifted up my hand and gently removed Washu’s hands.
“I’m glad that you two are ready to serve, but right now we have more pressing matters, why dont you two settle in and I’ll catch you up to speed,” I told them with a nervous tone as the pair chuckled.
“We already know everything Master, you wish to turn that wooden mutt to ash, and we will do everything in our power to make that happen. But first, we will train you how to use your abilities, but unfortunately, we cant teach you everything.” Washu told me.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“Washu and I only possess one magic skill each.” Explained Yvraine. “I possess unholy magic, and I will teach you how to raise the souls of the dead to do your bidding, but I can also teach you how to properly wield your weapon.” She told me.
“And I possess storm magic so you may use the might of the heavens to strike down your foes,” Washu said.
“I see, that’s very good to know, when can we start” I asked them, very eager to learn how to use my powers and they nodded their heads with a smile on their faces.
“We may start whenever you wish master.” Said Yvraine, and I wanted to say now but realized we had no place to train without being seen, and would have to order my undead to dig out an area we could use.
“We will train tomorrow for now rest and explore, I have a few things I must do.” I informed them and while they looked a little sad they nodded their heads before I left the crypt. “Pixel, are all the vampires I make going to be like them?” I asked.
“More or less the effect of hypnotic allure makes them completely devoted to you, and they would lay down their lives for you or let you lay them,” Pixel said chuckling as she said the last part making me sigh.
“You know before all this I would have jumped at the chance to have a harem, but now, I’m just too focused on staying alive.” I said pinching the bridge of my nose. “Plus I'm dying just to sleep on a proper bed it’s been like what 2 months since I came here and ive only been able to sleep on the floor even the castle I had before didn't even have a bedroom.” I complained.
“Yes, you've certainly had a few sleepless nights.” Said Pixel a little concerned. “Maybe after they teach you to shapeshift when you visit the town you can get a bed and bring it here.” Suggested Pixel.
“Yeah, that's not happening, even if I managed to grab one I would have to carry it through miles of forest being patrolled by timberwolves, I doubt the bed would survive the journey,” I said taking a deep breath. “I’ll just have to make do with what I got.” I sighed as I started to give out orders with the menu for my undead to dig out a room for my training. “There, it will be at least a few days before they dig that out.” I muttered as I rubbed my head and smelled something rancid.
“Fuck, what is that.” I said before I realized it was me that smelled. “Yeah, I haven't bathed since I came here, maybe I should get that lake next.” I said as I pulled up my menu to see how much mana prism I had left. It wasn't much right now, but hopefully, it won't take long to get what I need for the lake because of all the facilities it is the cheapest. “Well, all I can do is wait for now.
{Next day}
The training room was still being dug out but they were making progress and we made a little breakthrough on mana prisms I got the lake, and now that I had it I could get fishbones which are needed for potions, but for now… it was time I took a bath. I entered the lake which was complete with a waterfall . It looked quite beautiful, but while I wanted to admire the scenery I really wanted to take a bath. I took off my clothes and climbed into the lake.
“Aaah,” I said as my body relaxed as the cool water soothed my body. After weeks I finally had a chance to actually relax and clear my head.
“Now I have subordinates to teach me to use my powers, things should progress much faster from here on out,” I told myself as I closed my eyes and soaked for a few more hours before I got out. I looked at my clothes which were on the ground and sighed releasing that if I put them out I would just smell rancid again so I peeled outside the room where the lake was.
After making sure the coast was clear I quickly made my way to the tailory. “Alright, what can I make here.” I said as I looked through my options till I found something suitable for now and didn't use too many resources. When it was finished I pulled out a green and black robe that fit comfortably.
“This will do, I just wished that it made underwear, I hope my regeneration prevents chafing.” I said as i closed the menu, and as I was about to make my way out of the room arms wrapped around me.
“Hello, master.” Said a voice. I turned my head to see Washu behind me.
“Washu what are you doing here, and where is Yvraine?” I asked her as I looked around.
“Oh, I slipped away when she wasn’t looking so I could find you.” She giggled as she hugged me, her breasts pressing up against my back.
“Washu, this is not a good.” I said but before I could finish what I was saying, she kissed me. I froze in place unsure of what to do, and I remained frozen long after she broke the kiss and looked longingly into my eyes.
“I can tell you’re unsure how to feel about the two of us, but I assure you you can trust us, and trust me after you train with Yvraine, you’ll defiantly need something to take your mind off it, so dont be afraid to come to me for stress relief.” She said then giggled before she left me there bewildered, as I processed this information, that was until Pixel chimed in.
“Was this your first kiss?” She asked.
“S-shut up.”
It was the next day, and while the area was not completely excavated yet, it was big enough for some weapons training. Yvraine and I faced each other as Washu watched. “From what I have seen in your memories, you have been training with your poleaxe, but without a proper teacher, you are less than average. Hopefully, by the time I am done with your training, you will be able to fight on your own, " she said as she pulled out a curved sword.
I gripped my pole axe with both hands as I looked her down ready to see what she could do. “Are you two ready?” Asked Washu as she prepared to give us the signal to start. The two of us nodded our heads before she shouted. “BEGIN!” I immediately started running toward Yvraine preparing to strike with my poleaxe but she suddenly grinned and disappeared. I wanted to stop but for some reason, I started falling, and I felt a sharp pain in my neck. I hit the ground and I rolled before I eventually stopped.
I tried speaking but no words came out. I looked around and my eyes were frozen in horror, as I saw my body standing on its blood squirting out of the stump that used to be my neck. “Yvraine seriously! you chopped off his head!” Shouted Washu as she and Yvraine came into view. Yvraine was cleaning the blood off her blade as Washu yelled at her furiously. All I could do was watch as I watched the two bicker as I watched helplessly, unable to move, unable to speak, or even breathe.
“He needs to see that gap that he needs to close to survive, plus it takes a lot more than cutting off the head of a pureblood to kill them.” Yvraine said bluntly as she sheathed her sword. Washu would only clench her fist before she ran over to me, picked up my head, and brought it back to my body. She placed my head back on and my blood regeneration kicked up quickly reiterating my head to my body and repairing any damage to my body, while my mental fortitude prevented any damage to my mind.
I took deep breaths as the feeling returned to the rest of my body, and I opened and closed my hands to make sure everything was like it was supposed to be. “I need some air,” I said suddenly walking out of the room before walking down the tunnels till I got outside. I took a few more deep breaths to settle my nerves. ‘She fucking cut off my head.’ I thought in a panic. ‘We hardly even begun training, and she did that to me. If she’s willing to do that what other torture is she willing to put me through.’ After experiencing that maybe getting the crypt may have been a terrible decision but one that was too late to rectify.
I wanted to know what I should do now. I now knew that these two, while supposedly loyal, were more than capable of cutting me down over and over if they liked. This revelation made me uneasy and unsure of what to do now. Either allow them to continue training me or try figuring things out on my own. Both did not bode well in my mind, especially with how weak Yvraine showed me I really was.
“Master!” Shouted Washu as she ran out of the dungeon and hugged me. “I’m so sorry if I had known she had planned to do that I would have stopped her.” She said, at first I was frightened at what Washu might be able to do to me, but I quickly calmed and remembered how she scolded Yvraine for her actions.
“It's alright. I’m just glad at least one of you is normal,” I said, letting out a sigh. My mind was finally calm enough to go back into the dungeon.
“Still, she shouldn't have used magic against you since you dont even know the basics yet.” Said Washu surprising me.
“She used magic, but I didn't see her do anything.” I said confused.
“Almost all forms of magic have a means of enhancing their user, not all can be easily seen with the naked eye and some are more effective than others but unholy enchantments are especially effective when used on undead beings such as us.” Washu explained as she walked beside me.
“That makes sense, but as for Yvraine, while I can not agree with how she showed me how weak I was, it was inevitably and the quicker I realized it the better.” I said. “I just hope she isn't so brutal the next time.” I said with a worried tone. “Perhaps it might be best for you to train me to use storm magic.” I suggested but she shook her head.
“Storm magic is a powerful but volatile magic. Without proper control over your magic it could seriously backfire and greatly harm you. Unholy magic is both powerful and stable so learning it first and using it to help you control your magic would be the wisest decision.” Washu told me which made me rub the back of my head in annoyance.
“When you put it that way I can't argue.” I said as I saw Yrvaine approaching us. I immediately became wary of her, and she quickly caught on to it and had a sorrowful expression on her face. “Yvraine I can understand you wanting to show me how far that gap is between you and me, but that was no the way to do it, I didn't even know I could survive being beheaded.” I said rubbing my neck.
Yrvaine said nothing and looked at the ground. “Yvraine look at me.” I told her, and while hesitant she looked up at me. “I’ll forget about this little incident, but from now on you must hold back until I can handle it. But I would like to learn magic first before we continue weapons training.” I told her, and she nodded her head in understanding. “Now Washu.” I said looking at her.
Washu looked a little surprised that the spotlight was now on her suddenly. “W-what did I do something wrong?” She asked.
“No, no.” I said shaking my head. “While Yvraine is training me, I want you to take command of the undead. Keep them on track, and make sure things are going smoothly.” I told her. She straightened up and nodded.
“Yes, master.” She said before she went back inside. After she was out of sight I turned my attention to Yvraine. “Now let's begin, the faster I learn magic the better, and if I can master unholy magic we could greatly increase our numbers.” I said rubbing my chin as I thought of the future.
“It's Best you hold off on making any plans until after you start training. Unholy has many spells and abilities you can learn. It's best to see what best suits you before you think of doing anything drastic,” Yvraine told me.
“Yes, you make a good point. Let us begin.” I said before the two of us entered the dungeon. The two of us returned to the training room to begin.
“Let us start with a simple attack spell, " she said, raising her hand, and a green flame erupted from her palm. “This is soul flame, while it is a basic spell it is versatile. It can not only burn your foes, but it can also drain them of their life force if they are within the vicinity of it and if undead are also in the vicinity, the soul flame will empower them.”
“Hmm, that seems like a very powerful spell and you said this is simple,” I said looking at the green flame in her hand in intrigue.
“Yes, this flame is rather simple compared to the other spells and abilities that unholy magic provides, and you have a long way to go to master unholy magic.” Said Yvraine.
“Yes, I think I remember you mentioning plagues when we first met.” I said as I rubbed my chin. “But how do I even use magic?” I asked as I crossed my arms as the flames in her hand died out.
“Take my hand.” She told me, holding out the hand that was once wrapped in flame. I looked down at it and hesitantly took it. “Now, I want you to close your eyes and concentrate.” She told me. I nodded before closing my eyes and focusing my thoughts, and then I felt it. I could feel something flowing through Yvraine like blood it coursed through her entire body and where her heart was I could feel the greatest concentration of it.
“Wha-what is this?” I asked opening my eyes to look at her.
“It is magical energy; I shared some of mine with you so you could feel how mine flowed through my body.” She explained, and with a smile, she took one of my hands and placed it in the center of her chest between her breasts, making me blush. “Our vampiric nature offers us many advantages, such as great strength far greater than a normal human, as well as powerful magics, and while you have no need to fear the sun, there is still one thing you should know. Your heart is your greatest weakness, you can be stabbed, beheaded, or even blown to pieces your regeneration will keep you alive as long as you have blood, but should the heart of a vampire be impaled by something blessed with holy magic, all the blood in the world may not be enough to save you.” She told me.
“But what about my resurrection skill, wouldn't that save me?” I asked her.
“Yes, but you should avoid dying whenever possible because even with your mental fortitude it can't protect you from everything, and until you can get a coffin for yourself it is best to avoid dangerous situations.” She told me. I looked at her and nodded.
“Alright I understand, but now that ive felt magic how do I use it?” I asked her.
“You must feel your magic flow through your body, after that, you’ll just have to see for yourself. Soul flame is something that can’t quite be put into words.” She said with a grin, letting my hand go as she took a few steps back. I nodded as I looked at myself. I took a deep breath as I closed my eyes. At first ,I felt nothing, but then I felt something like a drop of water, but that singular drop soon turned into a flood which rushed through my entire body. My body felt energized like I was on adrenaline, but even more intense.
“You managed to tap into it quicker than I thought you would, but you must be careful. The magic of a pure-blood is quite intense, so you must be cautious how much magic you use lest you lose control of it.” Yvraine as she crossed a smile plastered on her face as she watched me intently. She took another step back before she spoke again. “Now bring out your flame.” She told me.
I was still a little confused, but I nodded. I imagined the flames that I saw Yvraine create, after a few moments, my body felt warm, but there was no fire. “You're getting close, but you’re not quite there yet, you must focus it.” Yvraine told me. I took a deep breath and then let it out. I could feel the heat start to pool in one but I could feel something else as well, something welling up deep inside my being.
Yvraine seemed to sense this as well and looked worried. “Master, you may want to stop.” She said but I felt like I was close to getting to creating soul flame. “Master, please stop, you dont know what you.” She tried to say but she was too late, as a large sphere of green flame formed above my hands, but things didn't end there. From where I stood, cracks started to form in the cave floor, which gave off a green light as they spread throughout the tunnels, and perhaps through the entire dungeon.
“What just happened.” I said as I looked around, worried as the green light that seeped through the cracks started to intensify which Yvraine chuckled nervously.
“It seems I may have underestimated your affinity for unholy magic.” She said with a nervous smile.
“Which means?” I asked before the save started to shake.
“The dungeons is about to get a bit crowded.” She as she sweat nervously, just as skeletal arms spouted from the floor, walls and even the ceiling of the cave.
TO BE CONTINUED
From the cave walls and floor, skeletal hands burst from the ground and started to pull themselves out. As they rose from the depths, I noticed that these weren't ordinary skeletons. Their bones were charred black except for their eye sockets and the end of their extremities from the tips of their finger to their elbows, and their feet to their knees had a green glow to them, some carried swords while others were empty-handed but all stared at me as me and Yvraine stood there.
“What just happened? I thought I was only a novice. Isn't something like this supposed to be more advanced?” I asked, pulling up the window to look at my skill level with confusion.
“Y-yes.” She shuttered. “But there are several more factors than just the level of skill, especially magic-based skills, knowledge, affinity, and how much mana you possess can affect what you can do even if you have a low skill level or rank. And your affinity for unholy magic seems quite high.” she explained.
“What does that mean?” I asked as I looked at the skeletons, which stood still as if they were statues.
“Well, many things can decide one's affinity for a specific magic or skills, their job, their mentality, and just being born lucky, I believe this could be a mix of your job and luck,” Yvraine explained as she walked up and looked over one of the new skeletons. “These aren't half bad, they are a fair bit stronger than the skeletons the dungeon creates, perhaps to the point they could wear armor without being weighed down too much, as you grow in both power and raise your skills rank the skeletons you create will become stronger in turn as well as the variety of undead you can create.” She told me.
“I see. With this, we can bolster our numbers and.” I said but Yvraine was quick to stop me.
“I’ll stop you right there, I can guess what you're thinking, and while you do possess the mana to make a sizable force, numbers alone can not take down the timber king. You will need quality and quantity to take down the beast that rules over this forest.” She told me as she turned her head to look back at me.
“Y-your right, i was hasty there, but why can unholy magic not need corpses then?” I asked.
“Well, I wouldn't say it doesn't require corpses at all, for example for skeletons like these it’s not necessary but for higher-ranked undead, you will need the necessary corpses which will be harder than you think, can't make a lich out of the corpse of a warrior now can you, well actually you could but such a body would be more suitable as a death knight.” She said.
“So to make more powerful undead I would need to corpses of powerful individuals?” I asked to clarify.
“Precisely, though there are a few shortcuts such as evolving weaker into their stronger variants, the process itself is quite tedious but that is for another time.” She told me as she turned to face me. “Let your training continue.” She said with a grin on her face which made me nervous.
(Several days later)
It has been a few days since I started training to control my magic and I have made great strides. Like she said, my affinity for unholy magic was quite extraordinary from how she put it, and I've even tried learning Washu’s storm magic but it's been quite difficult. When she tried teaching it a few sparks were all I could manage well at least till yesterday, when I managed to make a single bolt of lighting but I haven't been able to repeat it. Since Storm magic hasn't been working out Washu, and Yvraine have been teaching me how to use my other vampiric abilities such as shapeshifting.
At first, it was a little difficult but after a few transformations it became much easier to use but my control was fairly limited. I could not transform into a mighty beast or creatures, I could only make myself into a wolf and various smaller creatures, but I could also do one more thing which was take a human form. It was easily the same as my vampire form excluding the pointy ears and glowing eyes but it had its drawbacks, while in a human form, my body felt heavy and slow.
“Its feels so unnatural to look human.” I muttered looking in a mirror before Pixel chimed in.
“A vampire's form is like liquid and can change at a moment's notice, many skilled vampires use this to their advantage, but each form you take has its strengths and weaknesses so keep that in mind.” Explained Pixel.
“Yes I understand, but with my power suppressed like this it will make it difficult to fight if I get into trouble,” I said.
“Hopefully you won't have to, a vampire’s human form is used mostly for infiltration and deception so if you must fight, you must be careful,” Pixel told me. “But now that you do possess a human form, what is your plan.”
“I plan to visit Ponyville. If I'm going to live in this world I may as well learn more about it and meet its people.’ I said. “Plus while I’m there I might be able to learn more about the Timber King and maybe find a weakness I can exploit,” I told Pixel.
“And what about your dungeon?” Asked Pixel.
“Washu and Yvraine will stockpile the Blood essence and Mana prisms and upon my return, I will use them to upgrade the dungeon, and increase our forces,” I told her. “The dungeon is well hidden for the moment and it won't do me any good to worry so much, right now my top priority is to gather information.”
“Understood.” Said Pixel before she went quiet. “Now, I should pick out some different clothing.” I said before I headed to the tailor to pick out something but when I arrived I found Washu and Yvraine waiting or me with sorrowful expressions.
“Are you really leaving?” Asked Yvraine.”
“Yes, we need information.” I told her.
“Can't we come with you?” asked Washu but I shook my head.
“You two are the strongest subordinates I have, you have to stay here to protect the dungeon.” I told Washu, and while it seemed she understood she still had a sorrowful look on her face. “I’ll be back.” I reassured them as I went to select some clothes. I decided on a simple black trench coat along with a plain grey shirt, some black pants and finally some gloves. I went around and looked into a mirror to see how I looked, but it was missing something, and I smiled as I looked around before finding my green-tinted glasses before I put them on. “Now then it’s time for me to go.”
“But what about blood, what are you going to do about that?” asked Yvraine.
“What do you mean, I shouldn't really need blood for awhile.” I said
“Yes, but just because you drink doesn't mean the thirst goes away, it only builds and builds.” Yvraine told me.
“She is right some vampires have gone insane and gone on a killing spree because they did not have the strength to resist their thirst, because you've had access to blood essence you've been able to feed freely without needing to hide it, but once you get into town.” Pixel said stopping at the last part.
“I guess you need a mind of steel in order to go centuries without blood then. I’ll have to think of something after I get there, but I have to go.” I said and Pixel did not try to convince me otherwise and before I left the cave I gave Washu and Yvraine a big hug before I grabbed my poleaxe and left. I reverted back to my vampire form using the strength that Washu and Yvraine had taught me to control to jump from tree to tree to avoid the timberwolves and whatever else inhabited this forest.
I pulled up the world map to make sure I was going the right way before closing it and increasing my pace as I jumped from tree to tree occasionally looking back to make sure I wasn't followed. After a few hours of traversing through the forest I could finally see a town through the canopy of the forest.
“Finally civilization,” I said as I got closer and closer and finally I was out of the forest. I quickly assumed my human form as soon as I was clear of the trees and started to approach the town, but stayed in the shadows just in case. I hid behind a building and looked around the corner to look into the town to see what it was like. When I looked around the corner I saw not only human, but also humans with animal-like features like ears and tails, and straight up anthropomorphic animals but from what I was seeing it was mostly humans and my clothing didn't make me stand out too much so I round the corner and walk into the town like I belonged.
Once I entered I did get some glances but I didn't really draw some attention for all they knew I was just passing through. I wandered around getting a good layout of the town before deciding to take a break, being in a human form was not only limiting but taxing as well.
“Hey, are you an adventurer?” I heard from behind me. I turned around to see a young boy who could not be any older than 11 or 12.
“An adventurer, um no I’m not.” I told the young boy. ‘So there are adventures in this world, I suppose they are mainly the only ones that deal with dungeons and monsters. I thought for a few seconds before I looked back at the boy.”But I am looking to learn more about them, do you know where I can find them?” I asked kneeling down to look at him.
“Just down the street at city hall.” The little boy told me as he looked at me with a curious gaze and with a smile I patted his head before I stood up.
“Thank you, now run along back to your parents.” I told the boy as I started walking down the road using my poleaxe as a walking stick to keep myself balanced as I walked. I walked down the street but as I did in the corner of my eye I saw what looked like a tree with windows, and a door. I looked further down the street to see what I believed was the town hall and saw people walking in and out of the building before looking back to the tree.
‘Well the city hall isn't going anywhere.’ I thought as I approached my interest peaked, and I noticed there was an open sign attached to the door. ‘So is this supposed to be some kind of shop?’ I asked myself as I opened the door and let myself in. Inside was a circular room lined with bookshelves, along with a staircase, a few chairs, and a door frame that seemed to lead to some kind of kitchen. “So a library inside a tree, rather odd.” I said aloud as I looked around.
“Yeah, it is.” Said a voice next to me startling me. I looked to see a young boy at my side but atop his head were draconic horns. He stood at about 5 foot 7 with green hair and matching green eyes. “Sorry for startling you.” said the young boy.
“No, it’s not your fault.” I said, that's twice I’ve been caught off guard like that, I guess in my human form my enhanced senses skill doesn't work as well as it supposed to. I gathered myself before I looked once more at the book. “May I?” I asked.
“Yes, by all means take a look around, anyways my name is Spike I haven't seen you around before, you new around here?” The young boy asked as I took a look at a ew of the books.
“Silas, and I just arrived actually thought I would take a look inside before heading to the town hall.” I told Spike as I pulled a history book off the shelf before opening it and skimming through the first few pages. “Do you loan books out?” I asked.
“Of course, but you’ll have to wait till Twilight gets back so she can issue you a library card,” Spike informed me. “That's fine, I’ll just read here while I wait,” I told him as I looked around grabbed a few other books, and picked a chair to sit in before I opened the history book in my lap.
I continued to read a few pages as I thought to myself. ‘Nothing of use of particular note so far, except for the unification of the human tribes which were eventually ruled by princess Celestia’ However after looking more closely there were some mentions of her having a sister who ruled alongside her but there was hardly any mention of her, mostly just Celestia.
‘Were they the two at the castle when I was a skeleton?’ I thought to myself and when I really look back at it, everything after I was hit by Nightmare is a bit fuzzy. ‘Well all I can hope for is that I don't run into them again.’
I read through a few more of the pages before I heard the door open, and I looked up to see a familiar face. ‘Wait, isn't she one of the girls from the castle?’ I thought before I heard Spike speak.
“Twilight your back, there is someone here who wants to check out some books.” Spike told her as I stood up and picked up the books I wanted.
“Good day.” I said with a small bow of my head as I looked at her. “I would like to check these out.” I said, showing her the books. Twilight looked at the books with a smile.
“You've got quite a selection, world history, the monster encyclopedias 2 and 4, and magic theory.” Twilight said with delight.
“Yes but are books 1 and 3 currently checked out?” I asked which made her frown.
“Unfortunately we simply don't have the first and third book, I’ve tried ordering them but they said they don't have any in stock. We do however have books on specific kinds of monsters which have some more in depth information on them.” Twilight informed me.
“Thank you, I might be back for those later, but I would like to check these out now if you don't mind.” I said holding out the books her smile soon returned as she walked over to a wall and pulled out a few card.
“Your name?” She asked.
“Silas Bishop.” I told her as she wrote it down, she then pulled out a book writing down my name and the titles of the books.
“Here you go.” She told me handing me the card as she closed the book.
“Thank you.” I told her as I took the card and left the library, and then I went to explore more of the town.
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. (Silas POV)
I groaned as I opened my eyes to stare at the cracked and weathered ceiling of the castle. ‘So it wasn't a dream after all.’ I thought as a ra of light suddenly blinded me and lifted my hand to block it to see my hands were no longer skeletal but human, but I noticed that my fingernails were sharpened to a point and black.
“What am I no?” I said aloud and noticed I sounded different now, I sounded much more mature. I then stood up and brushed myself off before I saw I was wearing different clothes now I was dressed in what I think is some kind of green and black medieval noble attire. I rolled onto my side with a groan as I got on my hands and knees. My head was fuzzy, and banging but it soon felt clear. I stood up and stretched out my arms before I looked around. It looked like I was still in the castle but not in the room where I fought that woman. I took a step forward and felt something flapping behind me. I glanced back to see that I had a cloak attached to my clothes
“This looks familiar,” I said before I started looking for a mirror anything that could show me a reflection. I walked out of the room and started searching. I finally found a cracked full-body mirror and looked at myself in shock my face now had sharp features, I had long black hair tied back into a ponytail, and my eyes were now glowing green.
“What the fuck.” I said grabbing the edges of the mirror and realizing I had been turned into my V-rising character I had made for RP servers, but at this point, I honestly wasn't that surprised thinking back to all that had happened to me just recently. As I took a deep breath and looked at the mirror closer I saw stuck in my vest. Curious I reached into it and pulled it out to see it was a pair of green-tinted glasses. I took a closer look at them but they appeared to be just normal glasses. I put them on, but they appeared to be nothing special, so I decided to leave them on for now.
“Greetings player.” A loud female, but robotic voice suddenly said in my head. Making me double over in pain from the intensity. “Aploizies, Greetings player.” Said the voice again at normal volume allowing me to recover.
“Wha- who or what are you?” I asked as I looked around to see I was alone.
“I am a subsystem that was created to serve you, you may call me Pixel. Would you like to see your skills” Asked Pixel.
“Skills? Subsystem, what is going on?” I asked.
“You have been chosen by the administrator and brought to this world to become a player,” Pixel explained. “Now would you like to see your skills?” Pixel asked again.
I struggled to come up with what to say, I was so confused by what was going on. A system, and an administrative, and that I was chosen by whoever this admin is. “Fine, show me.” I said unable to come up with anything else to say. After I saw that a holographic scene appeared in front of me

I looked the list up and down taking it all that it said, most of the skills seemed just like the abilities from V rising along with the weaknesses I guess, but there were a few skills that I did not recognize or understand, also my job as a dungeon master concerned me. “Hey umm, Pixel can I ask you a few questions?”
“Of course, I was created to serve you,” Said Pixel.
“I just want to ask about a few specific skills here, specifically hypnotic allure, and Sanguine steal?” I asked as I looked at those two skills again trying to think of what they could mean. When it came to hypnotic allure I already had an idea but wanted to know the specifics, but Sanguine steal was a mystery.
“Hypnotic allure is a pure-blood exclusive skill, which makes the opposite sex more susceptible to the wielder's words and after some time should they continue to seek the user company, they will fall deeper into the welder's control and unlike hypnosis which can quickly gain control of only a few weak-minded targets, it can be used as many people as the user see’s fit, and can not be so easily broken once the target is fully under the skills influence. However, should they figure out they are under the skill before they fall fully under its control, or should the target have a strong will the effect will be nullified, but should the controlled be turned into a vampire the user's control over them is absolute.” Pixel explained it seems like a slow-acting but powerful skill that requires quite a bit of patience to master.
“Sanguine steal is a skill exclusive to you and your bloodline, It allows you to steal the skills of another being after drinking their blood, however, the chances of the skill activating depends on the gap of power between you and your target, the weaker they are the more likely the skill is the activate but you can potentially take skill form those as or more powerful then you should you weaken them enough, but the skill can only be one the same person once per week and after acquiring one skill the chances and acquire more is cut by half.” Pixel explained, and it sounded like a broken skill.
“Ok then, what about my job Novice dungeon master?” I asked Pixel.
“In the eyes of the world dungeon masters are seen as the enemies of all, since you bear the job you can create a dungeon of monsters that best suit you, and can gain both wealth and territory, it is highly advised that you make a dungeon soon and make a coffin so you can utilize your unique skill bound resurrection in case the unfortunate happens however as with your job being novice dungeon master you will only be able to upgrade your dungeon to level 3 until you meet the conditions to rank up your job.” Said Pixel in a concerned manner.
“Hmmm, I’ve seen enough anime to know that things don't end well for dungeon masters, well most of them.” I said thinking back to a time I watched an anime about a certain overlord. “But I guess I don't really have much of a choice.” I said. I thought the situation would make me more stressed and panicked which I thought was odd before Pixel chimed in.
“Your lack of panic is due to your skill mental fortitude, this skill grants its possessor resistance to negative mental status effects, and protects you against mental attacks.” Pixel explained.
“I guess that explains my strange sense of calm,” I said with a sigh. “Anything else?” I asked.
“Yes, it is time you received the last of your rewards for helping to defeat Nightmare moon.” Pixel said.
“Nightmare moon?” I said. “Are you talking about that chick that almost vaporized me?” I asked.
“Yes, due to your intervention she was defeated and you have earned rewards most of which were skills that you were automatically bestowed once you were revived but one reward remains.” Pixel said with a congratulatory tone in her voice.
“Which is?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
“You can choose one weapon from this list here and you will immediately receive it.” She told me before another list appeared with an assortment of weapons all of which were dark silver. I was surprised I was being given such a high-quality weapon from the start, but I had to be careful with my choice here. I looked through the list and all of the weapons seemed to be from the game, except for one, a poleaxe.
A pole axe is a versatile weapon, but do I really want to get it? I stroked my new beard in thought before I looked at myself again. ‘Vampires are superior to humans when it comes to physical strength so maybe it would be beneficial to use heavy weapon.’ I thought.
“Yes, vampires are stronger than most humans, but you are no ordinary vampire, you are pure blood, and you are the start of a new bloodline,” Pixel said, suddenly surprising me.
“Bloodline, I think I remember you mentioning it before, what is it?” I asked Pixel curious as to what it meant.
“Pureblood vampires are the pinnacle of the vampire race, they are not turned another, and the conditions for their creation are just as mysterious as how the vampires first came to be. You and other Pureblood vampires abilities are far greater than those beneath you as well as your physical abilities.” Pixel explained and paused for a moment before she continued. “Bloodlines are formed when a Pureblood turns a mortal into a greater vampire, bestowing onto them some of their abilities, and the greater vampires pass them on to a lesser extent to ordinary vampires, however, lesser vampires do not receive them.” Pixel explained.
“So vampires are not able to create vampires that are of the same rank as them?” I asked trying to summarize some of the information I was being told.
“Correct however vampires can evolve into higher ranks once conditions are met. But before I explain further, allow me to explain that Vampires don't truly solely drink the blood of mortals but also the life force that the blood contains and is vital to both vampires survival and evolution. Other factors separate the ranks other than just their strengths and ability, but also metabolism and how efficiently they absorb lifeforce. Lesser vampires are always in a starved and feral state because they burn off energy quickly and can't efficiently absorb life force, thus they must constantly feed to survive. In order for them to evolve into ordinary vampires they must consume a large amount of blood and lifeforce in a short period of time to break through the bottleneck that restrains them. After they evolve their sense of self returns as well as their appearance from when they were once human except for a few minor changes, and survive longer without drinking blood. For ordinary vampires to evolve into greater vampires they must first live for at least a hundred years then consume an even greater amount of blood and lifeforce than before, and as for greater vampires they are unable to evolve further but can go for long period of time without drinking blood even decades should they enter a dormant state.” Pixel explained and I was having a hard time sorting through all that information, but I soon looked back at the list and at the Poleaxe.
“Fuck it.” I said before I pressed on the poleaxe and it appeared in my hands. It was incredibly light, or I was just that strong. “Now that I have something to protect myself it's time I got out of here.” I said before I started walking and trying to find a way out of this place. It took several hours and I was pissed. I had walked into dozens of traps spread out all throughout the castle. I wanted with my all heart to raze this place to the ground, but I can do that later. I took a few breaths to calm myself before I looked around to see that this castle was located in the middle of a forest.
“Hmm,” I said, wondering where I should go. I eventually just started walking in a random direction and hoped for the best. I used my poleaxe to cut away the branches and brush in my way, it almost felt like a hot knife through butter, I hardly felt any resistance as I chopped through them.
“Hmm, I hope I can find a safe place soon.” I muttered as I cut through the brush. “At least I'm getting some practice with this thing.” I said to myself as I continued on my way, but I couldn't help but feel I was being watched. ‘This could be a time to check out my other skills, Sanguine sight.’ I thought. Suddenly it was as if all color had faded from the world turning everything grey, but I could see the blood of all living things in a tree nearby I could see a mother bird taking care of her babies. I could even see tiny hearts beat as they were fed by their mother, but that wasn't important right now. I looked around to see if I was begging followed, but I saw nothing except a few small animals running around.
‘Hmm, I must have been imagining it?’ I thought but as soon as I looked forward something lunged at me. I wasn't fast enough to dodge and it knocked me to the ground. From what I could see it was some kind of wolf, and before it could bite my throat I shoved the haft of my poleaxe into its mouth and pushed it off me.
“Damn it.” I said as I got to my feet and looked at the best, but something was off, I couldn't see its blood not to mention there were things sticking out of it… wait are those branches? I deactivated my Sanguine sight to see that this wolf was made from sticks and branches. “So that's why I couldn't see it.” I mutter pointing my weapon at it as it growled at me. The wolf started to circle me as if sizing me up.
“Come on mutt come get some.” I muttered on my breath as I made sure to keep the thing in front of me. The suddenly it lunged again and I stabbed the spike of my pole axe into its mouth but it seemed unfazed as it tried wresting the weapon from my grasp but I kept a firm grip on it.
“Fuck you!” I shouted before I kicked the creature in its sending sending it flying into a tree before it shattered into sticks and branches. “Wow, I didn't expect to be this strong.” I said but my train of thought halted when I saw the pile of branches and sticks start to float off the ground and begging to reform into a wolf. ‘This is going to be troublesome.’ I thought as I decided not to give it time to full recover. I swung at it with the axe side of my weapon chopping through it with relative ease. However, even though I chopped through it the branches merely mended themselves.
‘This will go on forever unless I can find a more permanent solution.’ I thought as I continued to chop away at its head and limbs to keep it from attacking me but then suddenly a second one jumped at me from the shadows. I jumped back to dodge it and it stood between me and the other wolf allowing it to recover but as it reformed something caught my eye. It was only for a moment but I saw some kind of foreign object or something inside the wolf.
"What was that, debris?” I thought as I formulated a plan in my mind. I took a deep breath before I lunged at the wolf with astonishing speed surprising the pair of wolves hell it even surprised me. But I used the chance to cleave the new wolf in half, and as I flew by I was unable to quickly stop. I glanced at the wolf to see that same object hidden within the branches.
“Can't be a coincidence.” I said under my breath as I thought about this calmly due to my mental Fortitude skill.
After I managed to stop the two were fully recovered and were charging me. I threw down my weapon before I started sprinting forward to meet them heading on. The first wolf lunged aiming for my neck but I sidestepped it going for the second one. As the second wolf was about to lung I grabbed it by its neck before I extended the fingers of my other hand and shoved it into the wolf’s chest cavity.
The wolf whimpered and yelped unlike all the other times I had cut them in half then I wrapped my hand around something before I forcefully pulled it out. It was some kind of so where with a glowing green energy emanating from it.
The wolf in my grasp slowly resisted less and less before it started to fall apart into a pile of sticks. I then crushed the sphere in my hand before turning to the other wolf to see it running off now that its friend was dead.
“So these things function like golems.” I said looking at the remains of the sphere in my hand. “This must have served as their core. I looked around to see if there were any more wolves before I cast the remains to the side.
“Those were timber wolves servants of the timber king the ruler of the everfree forest, it would be best to avoid him till you are strong enough to face him” Said Pixel in my mind
“You're saying I have to get stronger, aren't I strong enough right now?” I asked Pixel.
“Not even close, you are far stronger than you were but your strength pales in comparison to the other purebloods and you must hone your new skills.” Pixel told me. I couldn't argue that all my skills except mental fortitude were novice-level, so I continued on my way after retrieving my poleaxe. Eventually, I found a small mountain with a plateau at the top. With my new strength, I climbed up there with ease and looked around. It was a very spacious perfect place to defend should it come to it and gave me a good view of the forest which seemed to stretch for as far as the eye could see.
“Ok Pixel so how do I do this?” I asked with my arms crossed.
“All you must do is declare this place as your dungeon, and also since you are a novice you will receive a start-up to help you get going.” Pixel explained.
“It's that simple, alright then, I declare this plateau as my dungeon,” I said and the entire mountain started to shake as a window appeared in front of me.
Location has been designated as dungeon of Silas Bishop, the system is choosing the best monster type for the dungeon master….. The monster type chosen for dungeon master is Undead
“Wow,” Struggling to keep my footing as structures started to rise up from the ground, the first one that was erected was a castle followed by a wall that went along the entire plateau . I looked around in astonishment.
“Well I wasn't exacting this much as a start up but I’m not complaining.” I said, before a new screen appeared.
Contruction complete, now you must choose three facilities to help you grow your dungeon, progress will be saved if dungeon is destroyed and a new one is created.
Available facilities
Mine (Recommended)
Lake
Mutative oz lake (Caution)
Garden
Library
Laboratory (Caution)
Smithy
Tailor
Crypt
Workshop
Jeweller's Chamber
Prison
Graveyard (Caution)
Crypt
“What are the cautions for?” I asked as I stroked my chin.
“The caution serves to warn that these facilities can spawn enemies not under the control of the dungeon, thus using those specific features of those facilities can be a risk but can provide a wide range of materials and benefits, however, the mutative oz lake can not be controlled as it randomly generates mutated creatures that will attack everything they see,” Pixel explained and most of these seemed to have come from V rising which gives me a good idea of what to get.
“And what of the mine? Does it have some sort of significance?” I asked.
“Yes it is a vital facility able to generate random ores, and the highly coveted Mana prisms, Mana prisms are hyper-condensed crystals of mana that can be used for many things such as creating powerful enchanted weapons, creating new facilities, and monsters to protect your dungeon and can be used to rank up your dungeon heart, expanding your facilities and giving you access to more monsters to defend your dungeon, however, your dungeon is a tad more different.” Pixel explained as I started to walk towards the castle.
“Different, explain?” I asked
“You can use blood essence instead of mana prisms to create monsters however a greater amount would be required to create monsters than it would with mana prims,” Pixel explained as I opened the door to the castle. When I walked inside I saw that the front foyer was decorated with fine statues, paintings, and decorations that you would expect from a high-ranking noble.
“I see, that could come in handy,” I said. “I guess now I should pick the facilities,” I muttered as I looked back at the list. “Well, I guess I have to choose the Mine, Laboratory, and garden. Hopefully, the recipes are the same as in the game, but the next facility I will get will have the graveyard.
I felt the mountains shake again but there were no visible changes, at least from what I could see.
“The facilities have been built inside the mountain so they do not take up too much room on the surface,” Pixel explained, I nodded grateful that the castle wouldn't become too cramped. “Alright, so do I get some start monsters and what monsters do I have access to right now?” I asked.
“You can only create skeletons and zombies for the moment, and you start with 10 of each.” Pixel told.
“Zombies and skeletons uh, from my world those are pretty weak monsters at least individually, is it the same here?” I asked.
“It is the same but both have their strengths and weaknesses. Skeletons, while not physically strong, and are not very durable, but they are light and agile, and zombies are stronger but slower.” Pixel told me as I continued looking around.
“Well, that makes sense,” I said. “So is there a consol or anything I can use to control the monsters or do I have to give vocal orders,” I asked.
“You can pull up a command console that you can use to issue orders from afar but you can also give them orders vocally be warned that unintelligent undead like skeletons and zombies will follow your orders to the letter, once you start to create monsters which posses intelligence they may disobey order should they think their way is better,” Pixel informed me.
“So more powerful monsters possess intelligence and free will, I see.” I said stroking my beard as got to work figuring out all the ways I could control my dungeon.
