The Changeling’s Insanity

The tall, colorful Changeling king was sitting on the ground, holding his neck, breathing heavily. His back legs twitched, and he was rocking back and forth, mumbling to himself. What was happening?! His mind is...deteriorating!

“ Everything’sfineeverything’sfineeverything’sfineeverythingsfineEVERYTHING’SFINE! “ He muttered, his eye twitching. His mind blurred, everything fading, and brightening over and over and over again. He got up, only to fall back to the ground, huffing. He was shaking, and his hooves twitched. Tears started welling up. He just...couldn’t handle this. It hurt. It hurt too much. Nothing was right! He guessed this was why Chrysalis hated Twilight.

After that..experiment, they did together..he wasn’t gonna feel the same.

“ TWILIGHT?! T-TWILIGHT, HELP! “ He screamed. He was tied up to the wall, woken from a sudden. He huffed, looking around. Chains kept him to the wall, his panicking not doing well for his predicament. Thorax called Twilight’s name, but nothing happened. He kept calling, but nobody was coming. After a while, he just gave up, his body needing rest. Thorax felt tears stream down his cheeks, sobbing. After a few more seconds, he gasped, hearing hoofsteps.

“ Thorax.. “ Twilight said, wearing a while lab coat. Thorax smiled, sighing out of relief.

“ T-Twilight! Thank god! W-We need to get out of here! “ He called, panicked. Twilight didn’t say anything. She just smiled, taking out a scalpel. Thorax’s relief, quickly formed into fear. What was..she doing?!

“ ..T-Twilight? Don’t..don’t, no, no, no, no no no NO NO NO! “ He cried, as Twilight started toward him. Thorax started panicking, pulling at the chains. He started to cry once again.

“ NO! NO NO NO, TWILIGHT STOP! W-WHAT ARE YOU-STOP! PLEASE, DON’T— “

“ Shh..shhh..relax. Thorax, I’m just going to..help you with your..SOUL problem, ok? “ She said, holding the blade of the scalpel to Thorax’s chest, above his middle chest gem. He huffed, tears streaming down his face.

“ NO! D-DON’T HURT US! “ He yelled, squirming. Twilight held Thorax to the wall, with just one hoof. Thorax’s back legs kept driving at the ground, wanting to go back home! He didn’t want this! He didn’t want this, and I know Chrysalis wouldn’t either.

“ P-PLEASE, DON’T HURT HER! S-SHE- “ Thorax screamed, Twilight scowling at the panicked Changeling. The scalpel cut at Thorax’s chest, making him jump with pain. He kept screaming, the scalpel cutting into his chest, a certain glow coming from the inside? Twilight blinked. She kept going, ignoring Thorax’s cries.

“STOP! STOP STOP STOP, LEAVE HER ALONE! DON’T HURT HER! STO-THORAX, DO SOMETHING!- “ He kept screaming, Chrysalis trying to escape from this too. As she kept cutting, the glow growled brighter, and brighter, before it was shining like the sun! She put her hoof in it, pulling out the SOUL. She could hear screams of them both.

“ STOP, PLEASE! GET AWAY! I NEVER WANTED THIS! PLEASE, JUST LEAVE US ALONE! PLEASE! “ They both kept screaming. Thorax stared in terror. His chest was bleeding out, huffing, tears still streaming, before passing out, his body going limp. Before Twilight could do anything to it, she put it on the ground, as it glowed with the screams of the Changelings.

“ GO GO GO GO GO. “ They chanted with fear. The SOUL glowed, blasting as Twilight. The alicorn flew into the wall, as the SOUL dragged itself to the lifeless corpse of Thorax. It floated up to the cut part of his chest, floating back into it. Twilight was out cold, so she didn’t noticed, the back of her head bleeding. Vines wrapped around the chains, pulling them out of the walls, the SOUL back in place. Thorax gasped, collapsing on the ground, huffing. He curled up, his eyes glancing around. He slowly got up, wobbling. Chrysalis appeared next to him, feeling the exact same way, as she wobbled. They both looked at each other. They both huffed.

“ ..Are you..ok? “ Thorax asked, blinking. Chrysalis glanced away, before sighing, shakily. She was silent, before collapsing. Thorax quickly caught her, looking at her concerningly.

“ C-CHRYSALIS?! “

” D-Don’t worry, Thorax...I’m fine, just..tired.. “ She moaned, not being able to move. He blinked, before lifting her onto his back, and hurrying off, but being careful of Chrysalis.

“ ..Her..fault.. “ He muttered, softly. He sat, his eyes shadowed, thinking. It was..her fault. Twilight’s. This wasn’t on him, or Chrysalis this time...it was her. It was her! It was HER!

“ ..Her fault..her fault, her fault, her fault her fault heR FAULT HER FAULT HER FAULT!! “ Thorax screamed, vines growing within the walls, growing out of the rocks. He huffed, getting up, vines with thorns wrapping around his legs, but they weren’t harming him. The vines ripped themselves off the ground, keeping themselves on his legs. He growled deep from his throat. His anger boiled up, before screaming out,

“GAHHH!! “ Vines broken loose, smashing, crashing through walls. He felt nothing but hate...but something else..just lingered. He didn’t know what..but he was about to find out..

“ THORAX, ARE YOU OK!? I HEARD YOU SCREAMING, AND—what the.. “ Pharynx glanced around the rocky room, it was..damaged? Vines were everywhere!

“ ..T-Thorax...w-what—GAHH! “ He couldn’t finish his sentence, as a vine wrapped around his neck, like a boa constructor, crushing him. Thorax giggled.

” Well, hello BROTHER OF MINE~ “ He winked, smiling widely. The vines crushed his older brother even more, but Thorax took no notice. Pharynx started to gasp, and tug at the vine.

“ It’s oh, so nice of you to CHECK IN! HA! But, little ol’ me has to..attend, to some things~ “

“ T-Thorax...w-w-what’s..wrong with you?! “ Pharynx wheezed. Thorax only snickered in response, throwing his brother to the ground. He gasped for air, before looking up at his..twisted brother. What hit him so fast? Why did he snap like this?

“ W-Wh..Thorax..what’s gotten into you?! “ He exclaimed, backing away from the taller, younger brother. Thorax looked gazed, before stomping onto Pharynx, thorns poking, and pricking at him.

“ Oh, nothing, brother of mine! Just a little somepony who—well—might need a bit..of a PUNISHMENT~. “ He smirked, not looking away from his brother. Pharynx hissed, pushing Thorax off. He stumbled back, growling.

“ THORAX, STOP THIS! This isn’t like you! I don’t know what happened, but you need to stop! I’m not letting you keep this u—AH! “ Pharynx cried out again, as Thorax blasted at him. He rammed into his own brother, his antlers penetrated through him.

“ Yes, I suppose you DON’T!! WELL, I’M NOT GIVING THIS UP! I’M NOT GIVING UP BEFORE TWILIGHT PAYS, FOR WHAT SHE DID TO ME! TO HER! TO US! She WILL PAY! JUST WATCH! Oh..wait..you CAN’T, BECAUSE YOU’RE DEAD! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! “ He laughed insanely. Thorax didn’t feel remorse, but more..

It’s not like he was going to understand anyways. Thorax’s eyes changed to green, Chrysalis calming him down.

“ Thorax, w-what did you do?! He didn’t do anything! “ She exclaimed. Thorax took back control, smiling.

“ But this is GREAT! I-I FEEL LIKE..LIKE I COULD..I COULD IT AGAIN! YEAH, I’LL DO IT AGAIN! JUST WATCH ME, CHRYSALIS! YOU’LL SEE! Ha..HA..HAHA..HAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! HAHAH! “ He bursted, rushing out the room, his eyes red, as blood. His elytra opened, flying off.

“ MAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! “
