//-------------------------------------------------------// Love Hurts -by Davis Collus- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Do you love me? //-------------------------------------------------------// Do you love me? Pound Cake sat at his desk with the pencil between his teeth, chewing on the end in concentration. The homework in front of him was aggravating to say the least. Math. The equations seemed to spiral and grow more complex as he stared at them. He just couldn’t figure them out. Spitting the pencil from his mouth to the desk, he stood up and took the homework with him as he went to find his sister. Trotting from his room to the next, he found the door ajar and gently pushed it open. His sister was sat at her own desk, hunched forward in concentration, seemingly working away at a fast speed. Of course, I bet she’s almost finished with her work. He thought to himself. He then stepped in and called out to her. “Hey Sis!” “AHH!” Pumpkin Cake yelped as she turned to face him, completely stunned. Her eyes shrunk to pinpricks. “Are… are you okay?” He asked. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to make you jump, I just wondered if you could help me with my homework.” Pumpkin let out a breath she didn’t realise she was holding and then spoke. “Homework?... Yes, yes, homework. W-what is it?” “It’s math. It’s…” Pound stopped and sniffed the air. “What’s that?” “W-w-what’s what?” Pumpkin asked, trembling slightly. “There’s a funny smell in here.” Pumpkin then jumped up and snatched the homework from him. “Hey!” The young unicorn then started walking backwards towards the door, speaking really fast. “Hey, don’t worry, I’ll do this for you. Gotta both get those A’s we don’t get pocket money from dad, right? Haha! Anyway, gotta go, see you!” She then backed into the hall and ran for the bathroom. Pound Cake was left stunned. Why’d she take my homework to the bathroom with her? Why was she so jumpy? Come to think of it, her face was pretty red. Was she sick? The pegasus colt then headed towards her desk, curious as to how much of her homework she’d done. Looking at the paper he realised she hadn’t even started. Not a single answer was filled in on the paper. What was she doing at the desk then? Looking down, he saw a wet patch on the seat Pumpkin was just sat in. Oh geez, what’s wrong with her? Pumpkin slammed her hoof down along with the math paper on the bathroom countertop, groaning in frustration and speaking quietly to herself. “Stupid heat! Stupid, stupid! He almost saw you doing… that! No… no, there’s no way he didn’t see. He saw you! Stupid!” She ran the cold water tap and then splashed her face with it. “Why won’t it stop. Why!? I can’t do anything. Ohh, and now Pound is going to think that I’m a total weirdo.” Pumpkin looked into the mirror and saw her reflection. Staring back at her was a young mare with a long curly orange mane, tied back into twin pigtails, bright blue eyes and a slim physique. She looked so tired and the water on her face just made her feel like she looked worse. There was a knock at the door. “Pumpkin sweetie, you gonna be long? Momma needs to use the bathroom.” It was her mother, Cup Cake. “Y-yeah. I’ll just be a second.” Pumpkin grabbed a towel and then wiped her face. She turned and opened the door, walking out. “All yours, mom.” “Thanks dearie.” She then looked down at her daughter who was still a foot shorter than her, “Pumpkin, are you okay?” “Ye-yeah, absolutely.” “Pumpkin, I know when you are lying to me.” Mrs. Cake stood staring at her. Pumpkin then lowered her head to the floor and mumbled something. “What was that dearie?” Sighing, Pumpkin spoke a little louder. “I’m… in heat.” She blushed, being forced to say it out loud. “Oh? Oh!” She said in realisation. Then she leaned down to the yellow unicorn. “Head on downstairs to the kitchen and put the kettle on, I’ll be right down. I think we’ll need to have a talk.” Pumpkin nodded and left down the stairs. She really didn’t want to have this conversation. Mrs Cake poured the tea into two small cups. One for herself and one for her daughter. “Momma, I don’t need to talk about this. I learned it all in school.” I just wish it would stop. “Well, I’m glad about that. It means you’re smart enough to know what it means.” “Y-yeah.” She said, not wanting to go into more details. Pumpkin knew it meant that she was fertile and ready for a stallion. But there were none that she found even remotely cute. Well, there was one, but she’d never tell her mother that. “I just want to make sure you don’t do anything desperate. I understand that at times like these you’ll maybe want to…” The mare coughed into her hoof “BE with a stallion, for them to take the burning away, but you know what the repercussions are, don’t you?” “Yeah… and a foal is something you should only have with somepony you love.” She recited from memory when her mother had told her where foals come from, and she had repeated it any time the conversation came up. “Exactly. Oh, I’m glad we could have had this little talk.” Mrs Cake then placed a hoof around Pumpkin to give her a hug. “My little girl is growing up so fast!” Pumpkin giggled and tried to push her away. “Haha, stop it. I’m not a small filly anymore.” She said, smiling. “Oh, you’ll always be a filly in your momma’s eyes. Now, if you ever need anything, you make sure you come to me, okay?” “Okay, mom. I will.” They both shaded a smile and then spoke of other things as they drank their tea, but the burning between her legs made it difficult to focus. It was late at night and Pumpkin was at her desk again trying to focus on her homework, but the burning between her legs continued to be a problem for her. It was driving her crazy. I can’t focus. Why do girls have to go through things like this? The paper before her was all a blur and she couldn’t focus on it anymore. It burned so much it was starting to hurt. The tears came to her eyes as the frustration became too much. The door opened behind her, but this time she heard it and she turned to see who it was. “Hey Sis, you ever finish my…” Pound Cake stopped as he saw his sister struggling to hold herself together. The tears on her face were clearly shining in the hallway light. “Sis?” “I… I can’t take it!” “Can’t? Is it my homework? Because if it is, then don’t-“ Pumpkin started crying in earnest and jumped onto her bed, face first into her pillow. She let out all of her frustrations, muffled though they were and shut down. Pound stood in the doorway of the room, very confused. He then closed the door and sat next to his sister. “Hey, I’m sorry I asked, I didn’t realise you were under so much stress. Forget about my homework, I’ll just-“ “No.” She said lifting her head from the pillow. “It-it’s not you. It’s…” she buried her head again. “It’s what? Come on sis, we tell each other everything. I can tell something is seriously bothering you. What’s going on?” The young unicorn sat up slowly and then wiped her nose on a tissue she levitated over to herself before she binned it. “Do you remember when in class they separated the fillies from the colts?” “You mean for sports day?” “No. no for… sex education class.” Pound had a vague recollection of it; of shooting spit balls at the back of his friend’s head. He smiled sheepishly at his sister. “Well, I’m going through something called… an Estrus.” Pound Cake continued to look at her blankly. “Ugh, heat. I’m in heat.” The colt then realised what she was talking about. He had heard talk about such things, especially from the older colts he hung around with. Rumble loved to brag about how when his marefriend, Scootaloo, was in heat, it was the best time ever for him. He could just go visit her house and she’d practically pull him in for the night. Rumble would also go into all the sordid details about it. That was until one day she’d over heard him. Colts still cringe to this day when they think back to how hard she kicked him between the legs. Pound Cake, squeezed his back legs together at the thought. Bringing himself back to the moment, he looked to his sister and asked her a question. “So why don’t you just find a stallion to help? You must have she colt friends who’ll-” “No. No, I can’t just go and rut some random stallion. Don’t you understand? It must be somepony you love, and I don’t have a coltfriend! I don’t have anypony that loves me!” She returned to lying face down on her pillow, the frustration bubbling up again. Pound sat still thinking for a moment, unsure what to say next, until the answer came to him. “Well, I love you.” Pumpkin shot up and turned to look at him. “What?” She asked, clearly not believing what she just heard. “You’re my sister, I love you more than anything. And… well, I’m a stallion right? You know that I’d do anything to help you, right?” Pumpkin couldn’t believe this was really happening. Yes, she’d had thoughts about her brother before. He was caring, handsome, kind of a dummy at times, but that made him all the more endearing. “Y-you… you really mean it?” She said, a smile coming to her face. He smiled back. “I do. We’re twins. We’ve been together since the day we were born. We’re almost never apart and I love-“ Pumpkin dove into him and hugged him tight. “I- I love you too!” She said, a huge blush coming to her face. She couldn’t believe it, he really said he loved her. She was so worried that she was a freak for loving her own brother but if he loved her too, than it couldn’t really be bad. She could actually be happy with him in more than just a platonic way. She pulled away to look him in the eyes, he was smiling but then he raised a hoof up and scratched the back of his head. “So… what… What does a- I mean, what do I do?” A nervous grin came across his face and Pumpkin giggled. “You really don’t have a clue?” Another nervous and embarrassed chuckle came from Pound as he sat there, trying not to make eye contact with his sister. Realising she’d have to make to first move. She sat up and made eye contact. The two locked eyes for a moment. He was wondering why she was looking at him with a weird look, a look that was supposed to be seductive, just he was blind to it. She then leaned in and kissed him. Once their lips connected she closed her eyes and enjoyed it. Pound was taken aback at first, but then relaxed into it. Pumpkin’s heart was racing. I can’t believe I’m doing this. My first kiss! And it’s with my brother! She pulled away from him and looked back at the colt. He was still lost in the kiss and didn’t react to her pulling away. When he did come back to reality she giggled at him again and booped a hoof on his snout. “Somepony enjoyed that.” She teased. The blush on his face was visible even in the dark, the only light coming from a lamp across the room on her desk. Pumpkin then became aware of the burning in her crotch again. The distraction had been nice, but he had promised to help her with this problem. “Pound. I need you, now.” She said, nodding down to her most intimate spot below. “Oh… Y-yes, yeah. Okay.” He stuttered in reply, but didn’t move. Geez, I’m gonna have to do everything, aren’t I? Pumpkin thought to herself. Then without further hesitation, she pushed him flat onto his back and looked down between his legs. His penis had only just started to poke out from its sheath, growing slowly. She’d have to help him out. Giving the pegasus a sultry look, she lowered herself down, wrapping a hoof around his slowly expanding cock. “P-Pumpkin. What… are you doing?” “Well, you’ve gotta be harder than this if you’re going to help me, right?” “R-right.” He watched as his sister slowly rubbed up and down his shaft, each pump making it harder. Pumpkin then became curious, she knew some mares did another thing and wondered herself what it was like. Opening her mouth, the filly extended her tongue and licked his tip. Pound threw his head back in ecstasy, his wings extending from under him as far as they would go. The sensation that ran through him was incredible; like an electrical charge but it felt great. Pumpkin returned her tongue to her mouth and found the taste wasn’t disagreeable. His cock was now much bigger but she wanted it to be as big as it could go. A drop of pre-cum was leaking from the tip of his penis and she leaned forward again, giving it another lick. That tasted different. It was nice, but couldn’t describe what it was like. It was a little tingly on her tongue and she wanted more. Again she opened her maw, and then engulfed his rod. “P-Pumpkin! Ahh! Oh wow!” The sensations running through his body was overwhelming. Her mouth going up and down his shaft was exhilarating. She was getting more than half of it into her mouth and making glugging noises when she couldn’t get much more into her mouth. The colt smacked the mattress with his hoof as his body began to twist and turn like in had a mind of its own. He was thrusting his hips up into her mouth now trying to get more into her. She was concerned at first, not ready for his initial thrust, but then after the third she prepared herself and allowed it in a little deeper, she sucked and licked and swallowed as his pre-cum leaked into her mouth along with any saliva that was making him slicker. Soon, he was as big as she thought he would ever be, and then with a pop, she pulled off his cock, just seconds before the colt was about to cum. “W-why’d you stop? That… that felt awesome!” “Because, dear brother. I want you to put it somewhere else now.” She said, giving him another seductive look. She then stood over him and positioned her rump right over his fully erect penis. She smiled as she saw the realisation dawn over him. Pound watched as his sister aligned herself to his throbbing stallionhood. He’d never been this hard before! Sure he’d touched himself sometimes and seen a few dirty magazines, but he’d never even seen another filly’s pussy before, maybe when he used to bathe with his sister as young foals, but that was different to the young mare that was now about to impale herself on his cock. Pumpkin used her magic to hold his shaft still as her burning fillyhood began to spread. She could feel his pre-cum as it touched her cunt, it cooled her like an ointment you’d apply to a burn, yet this was just the start. She needed him all the way inside her to cull the flames deep within. Slowly she descended onto him, her love tunnel easily spreading apart to allow him access. Before she got more than an inch of him into here, she hit something inside herself that hurt a little. Her hymen. She had forgotten about this part. Pumpkin knew this was going to hurt but she needed him inside her. Holding her breath, she pushed down harder, her juices enabled him to slid right inside of her and after a sharp tearing pain, she completely bottomed out, landing completely on his lap with her legs no longer supporting her weight. Pumpkin stifled a pained yell, crossing both her front hooves over her mouth. Pound cake felt his sister plunge herself down onto him and her incredibly warm pussy felt better than his own hoof ever did, his eyes rolled backwards into his skull as the pleasure rocked his body. He could feel her fillyhood squeezing his shaft and swore he could also feel her heart beating. Pound focused on his sister, and saw her covering her mouth. “Are you okay?” He asked concerned. She nodded and with a choked gasp responded. “I’m fine. I just… I need a minute.” She sounded like she was having conflicting emotions; and she was. The penetration and breaking of her hymen happened so fast that her body wasn’t ready for it and his cock had pushed much deeper into her than she’d imagined. He’d hit hard against her cervix and it hurt her a lot. Pumpkin controlled her breathing but it was taking a while. “If you wanna stop-“ Pound began but his sister shook her head. “No, no. I’m okay. I… I think I’m good to go again.” She then lifted her rump from his lap. Her pussy was trying to hold tight to the shaft inside her but the juices were running so fluidly from her no longer virgin honeypot, there was no way it could grip tight. She then began to lower herself again getting into a rhythm on bouncing up and down, without going to hard. The fire in her groin was no longer one of hurt, but of intense pleasure. She began moaning quietly as she rested her hooves on Pound’s barrel to help keep her balance, continuing to impale herself on the young pegasus. Pound Cake was in bliss. He was biting his lip as the heat from her groin caused the sensations of her moving up and down, causing him to moan as it felt incredible. Soon the filly increased her speed, thrusting herself down onto him, going as fast as she could. The urge to cum was building ever faster inside her, yet her hips began to tire. She couldn’t keep this position up for much longer. “P-Pound… I… can’t…” She began to slow down her thrusts and then she began to buckle. Pound saw this and then he reached up and pulled her down to him. He then held her tight as he shifted his hips and began to thrust into her from underneath. Her pussy felt amazing and he didn’t want to the feeling to stop. Their hips connected with each thrust as he pounded deep into her. Harder that she could on her own. The discomfort of him hitting her cervix was dulled by the intense feeling of her crutch burning and reaching her peak. “Ah, ah, ah!” She squealed, trying to form words but nothing really coming out. That’s when she squeezed her legs together tight around Pound’s hips, holding him deep within her as she came on her brothers cock. More and more of her excretions leaked out down his shaft and balls, even coating his tail hole and his own tail. The feeling of her convulsions on his dick also pushed the young pegasus over the edge. He came deep and hard within her, flooding her uterus and filling her up like she’d never imagined would be possible. He yelled out through gritted teeth, humping into her as spurt after spurt of his cum burst out from his flared tip, the slapping of their hips now sounding wet and sticky. He felt exhausted, as did his sister on top of him and they both collapsed breathing heavily, still holding each other tight. “That… was incredible” Pound said, feeling his cock slowly retracting from her pussy. Pumpkin felt him receding from inside of her and it made her tremble. A wave of relief flushed through her body and she felt completely satisfied from her brothers cum. The overwhelming frustrating heat was gone and Pumpkin smiled as her head finally cleared and her body relaxed. She kissed her brother on the lips and then nuzzled up to him. “Thank you. I love you so much!” Pound Cake smiled and then whispered back to her. “Anytime, sis! I… hope we can do that again someday?” Pumpkin Cake giggled and then nodded her head before they both fell into a wonderful sleep. After that night, the two of them were inseparable. The twins used to always be together, but now they were so much closer. Walking down the street together, side by side, spending so more time together, but after a few weeks, Pumpkin suddenly started to get an uncomfortable sensation in her belly. She at first passed it off as just some bad hay, but then she started being sick in the mornings. It was then, that something else came to mind. Later that night she had gone off to the bathroom, and with her, she took a pregnancy test. Pound Cake was in his bedroom lying on the bed, thinking about all the fun he and his sister had been having. The time they spent together, how warm she was when they were side by side. Her cute little blush, the way she’d tease him with her tail when no pony was looking. They were also a lot more sexually active and he’d learned so much more with her than through any sex ed class had taught him. The bedroom door quietly opened and then clicked shut. Pound cake sat up and looked to his sister. She ran up to him and quickly gave him a quick kiss. “Hey, I’ve got some news.” Pumpkin said with a smile. She then levitated a little stick over to her brother who looked at it strangely. “What is this?” He asked. “It’s a pregnancy test, you idiot.” She said, shoving into him playfully. “It’s positive! You know what that means, right?” He looked at her with a blank expression. “I’m pregnant! It means you’re going to be a daddy!! It’s that wonderful?” Pound Cake froze up. A daddy?! He thought to himself. “A-a-are you… you sure? This isn’t a mistake?” He asked, sounding very worried. “Nope, it’s always ninety-nine percent accurate.” Pumpkin then noticed a lack of enthusiasm from the colt. “What’s wrong?” “… No, no, fine. This is fine.” He gave a nervous laugh feeling his whole world burning around him. “Oh, I see what’s going on here.” Pumpkin said flatly. “Y-you do?” “You’re scared that you’re not going to make a great father! Well don’t worry! I promise, you’ll be wonderful. You’re so sweet and thoughtful and caring. You just have to be more confident.” Pound didn’t answer right away. Instead he looked down at the pregnancy test again. Pregnant… “Come on!” She said, grabbing his hoof. “Let’s go tell Mom and Dad the good news!” Pound Cake snatched his hoof back in panic. “Mom and Dad! No way! Do you have any idea what they’ll do to us? Do to me?!” “It’ll be okay, I spoke to mom before and she basically told to do this. She said it was fine as long as it was with a stallion I love.” “B-but this is different. I mean… it was… you know, before and, I mean, this is all just...” The colt flustered his words constantly, panicking about everything that was happening and just couldn’t get his thoughts aligned to even know what he wanted to say. “Pound. It’s okay. They’re our parents, and Mom said I can always talk to her about anything.” Taking the young pegasus by the hoof, she dragged him from his room and together they went downstairs to find their parents sitting at the dinner table, talking. Cup Cake turned her head as her children walked in together. “Oh, what are you doing up, dearie’s? I thought you’d already gone to bed.” She looked at Pound Cake and saw him staring at them both, stiff as a board and white as a sheet. ”Is something the matter?” “Mom, Dad. We’ve got some very big news.” “What is it, Pumpkin?” Carrot Cake said, turning around in his chair. “Well… do you remember, mom, what you told me that when a mare is in heat she should only… you know, with a stallion that loves her?” “Yes?” her mother responded slowly, not sure if she liked where this conversation was going. “Well, I did! And I feel so much better now, thanks to Pound Cake!” Mrs Cake dropped her spoon into her tea cup and her face fell as she watched Pumpkin intertwine her hoof around the colts. “P-Pumpkin? W-what are you trying to say here?“ Unable to contain herself anymore, she blurted it out. “Well Mom and Dad, I’m pregnant! You’re both going to Grandparents!” Pumpkin shouted happily! Pound himself didn’t move, terrified of what was to follow next. Mrs Cake then jumped out of her seat, slamming her hooves down on the table! “Is this a joke!? Because I promise you young filly, this isn’t a very funny one!” “Cup Cake dear, Let’s not-“ Mr Cake began but she cut him off. “You can’t be pregnant! You’re too young!” “No. It’s true! I have to test here and everything!” Pumpkin levitated the small pregnancy test towards her mother. She looked at it and her pupils dilated. She then looked towards her son, furious. “You stupid foal! How could you take advantage of her like that?! She’s your sister for Celestia’s sake!” Mr Cake stood up from his chair and took to his wife’s side. “Easy honey bun. Let’s just gather our thoughts first before we-” “Gather our…? Our children have been having… intercourse with each other under our roof! Not to mention the moral indignity of it all! What were you two thinking?!” “What?” Pumpkin said, shocked by her mother’s outburst. ”But mom! You told me to do this! You said that to truly quell a heat, I’d need to be with a stallion that loves me! He’s my coltfriend now, and we are in love!” Something then snapped inside Pound’s head, making him back away from the young mare beside him. “Whoa, wait a second, hold up! Coltfriend?” “B-but of course. I mean, that’s what we both are, r-right?” “No, no no no, I never said I wanted to be your coltfriend!” Pumpkin’s expression showed one of betrayal and heartache, hearing her brother say those words. “B-but you said you loved me!” she said on the verge of tears. “Of course I love you. You’re my sister. I love you as much as I love mom and dad and auntie Pinkie Pie. I couldn’t bare to see you suffering and I would have done anything to make you happy again. I didn’t know that you’d get pregnant!” “How could you not know that?! You stupid foal!” Screamed Mrs. Cake. “Bu- bu- Pound! No! You, you don’t…?” Pumpkin was now completely breaking down into tears. She tried to say more to her brother but couldn’t speak. Mr Cake was holding his wife as she looked positively ready to throw something violently towards her own son. Pound himself felt his heart breaking at the chaos in this kitchen. Everypony going through a hundred different emotions and all of them, horrible. He himself was becoming distraught after all that had happened. Unable to take it anymore, he turned around and ran out the room. “Pound!” Pumpkin called out to him. “Where do you think you’re going?!” Mrs. Cake shouted. The pegasus colt ran all the way up the stairs and then slammed the bedroom door behind him. This is all my fault. He told himself. If I’d just payed more attention in school, none of this would be happening. Mom would be happy, father wouldn’t be downstairs trying to salvage a broken house and my sister wouldn’t be pregnant with our baby! The idea of that scared him. He’d heard stories of inbred foals having like three legs and two ears on one side of their heads. He’d caused this and he couldn’t bare the shame. His family would be better off without him. Pound sat looked out of his window into the cold night’s sky for what seemed like hours, wondering what he was going to do. As he made up his mind, he heard a knock at the door. “Pound, Son. It’s me.” The voice of his father came from the other side of the door. “Please, come back downstairs so we can all sort this mess out. I’m sure that what you did was with good intensions but this isn’t the way to go about fixing them. I know you meant well and you didn’t mean for any pony to get hurt, but we all need to come together is we’re to have any hope of salvaging this.” Carrot Cake heard no response from inside, so he carefully opened the door. “Son?” Stepping inside he realised that the room was empty, and that the window was open. He had run away. Pound Cake sat in the dark room on the sofa, clutching his head between his hooves. His sister’s heartbroken face never leaving his mind. B-but you said you loved me! Her words echoed in his mind over and over again. He didn’t mean to lead his sister on like that and now things had gotten worse. He’d run away from home, left his family, left his sister alone carrying their foal… he felt terrible, but he was too scared to know what to do. The cream coloured pegasus travelled to Cloudsdale to speak with the only other stallion he knew that might be willing to give him a place to stay. Rumble. Scootaloo was there also and was really concerned as to what caused Pound Cake to run away from home. “I know what it’s like to want to run away when your parents don’t listen to you. But whatever problems you have, you’ll need to talk them out, sooner or later.” Scootaloo had told him. He knew she was right, but he couldn’t see any way that this could ever be fixed. His mother was furious with him, he’d broken his sister’s heart, and now he’d abandoned his family. He’d been gone for days without letting them know where he was. How could things be any worse? There was a light knock on the door. Rumble opened it and poked his head inside. “Hey Pound.” Rumble said, stepping fully into the room. ”Can’t sleep?” He didn’t say a word or respond. Rumble flicked on the table lamp. The fireflies inside buzzed around, glowing brightly enough to light up where they both sat with Rumble sitting on a single cloud chair diagonally across from other pegasus. “Feeling any better?” Rumble asked. Pound didn’t respond. “Dude, you need to pull yourself together. You barely talk, you never go outside and you’ve hardly eaten anything since you got here. It’s been a week. I think you need to go home and sort this all out.” “I can’t.” Pound responded quietly, slightly shaking his head. “And why not? You’ve told us nothing since you’ve gotten here. I’ve been lenient and said I’d be willing to give you your space, but this is getting a bit much, you know? I mean, me and Scoots would like a little alone time, if you catch my drift? It’s not that we don’t want you here, but if you’re planning on staying here much longer, I’m gonna have to consider charging you rent.” Rumble laughed in an attempt to lighten the mood, but Pound didn’t react. “Seriously dude, what happened? You can tell me. Just between us stallions, eh? Tell me everything that’s going on, maybe I can help?” Rumble said, leaning forward. Pound thought about it for a second, seemingly like he was going to remain quiet, but then just as the grey pegasus was about to say something else, Pound finally spoke. “Pumpkin’s pregnant.” “Oh? Oh! Is that all? Haha. Well, congratulations to her. That’s nowhere near as bad as I was expec-“ “I’m… I’m the father.” Silence hung in the air for what felt like an eternity. “Dude…” Rumble said, breaking the silence. Pound closed his eyes waiting for the backlash. He knew he should have kept his muzzle shut. “That’s awesome!” The colt’s eyes shot open and stared at Rumble. “What?!” Pound said, shocked. “Dude, Pumpkin is hot! I can’t blame you for wanting to stick your buns in that hot bakery!” “Rumble! Sh-sh-she’s my sister!” “Oh right, shoot, I didn’t mean to be rude or anything. Sorry.” “No. No, it’s wrong cuz… I mean, her and me… brothers and sisters…” Pound was starting to get flustered, he wasn’t expecting Rumble to be so positive about something so wrong. “Whoa whoa, calm down. It’s okay.” “But it’s not! I mean, I got her pregnant! She was suffering from heat and it looked like she was in so much pain and she was suffering and I wanted to help her! I’d do anything to make her happy and I… I was stupid. I just… I knew deep down that it was a little wrong, but it just made her so happy, and it felt so good, I pushed those thoughts from my mind. But then she got pregnant, and foals born of incest are all half formed monsters!” “Hahahahaha, where’d you hear that rubbish? The Apples’ have been inbreeding for generations and they are all fine!” “…I don’t believe those rumours. You don’t really believe that Applebloom’s filly is Big Mac’s, right? Or that Applebloom is the daughter of Applejack and Big Mac. It’s just too farfetched.” “I dunnooo, Scoots’ has heard some interesting things from AB… but that’s not what we’re talking about here. So, you’re going to be a daddy?” “Y… Yeah.” “That’s why you ran from home? You got cold hooves?” “I… told her, I didn’t love her. At least… not in the way she wanted.” “Do you really not love her? Not even a little?” Rumble asked. “Well… N-no! I mean… it’s wrong, isn’t it?” “Only if you’re a prude.” Pound cake didn’t know what to say to that. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat as Rumble sat in silence letting the colt think about it. “Do you think you’re both too young to be parents?” Rumble asked. “Technically. We’re still in school.” “Then you’ll need your parents to help, and your friends too. I’m sure if you ever needed help, me and Scoots could lend a hoof.” “But… what about everything I said? All the pain I’ve caused? Mom’s mad at me for what I did.” “She’s probably calmed down by now. And she’s your mother, she still loves you. It was probably just the shock of it all. Imagine your reaction if your children had been having sex with each other, would you celebrate is right away, or would you be shocked?” Pound thought about it. He wasn’t entirely sold on the idea that he could do this. But hearing that he’d have support from others was reassuring. But it couldn’t just be that simple, could it? “You should go.” “What?” Pound said, looking up. “Go home. Go to your sister now. She needs you.” Rumble grabbed a scarf from the rack and tossed it to Pound Cake. “It’s getting cold out there and Ponyville is quite a flight.” “But… shouldn’t I send a letter first or at least wait till morning, or even…” Rumble opened the front door. “Go now. Before it’s too late.” The young pegasus thought about it hesitantly, then thought about his sister. She needed him. “Yeah. O-okay.” Rumble led him out of the door and sent him on his way. Ponyville would take an hour to reach from here and maybe he’d make up his mind once he saw Sugarcube corner. The purple scarf around his neck wafted in the wind as Pound made his way home, unsure of what he would find. Pumpkin Cake sat in the kitchen beside her mother, neither of them saying a word. They both sat with their sweet tea, but only Mrs Cake was drinking hers. Ever since that night a week ago, tensions had been strained between the pair of them. Cup Cake was still very upset that her own daughter had gotten herself pregnant, despite the mare’s best efforts to educate her daughter, and for Pumpkin to sleep with her own brother of all ponies was just unbelievable. Pumpkin herself missed her brother dearly. She’d been inconsolable for days and not until Mr Cake had raised his voice at her mother, telling her that right now what’s happened and with whom wasn’t important. Their little filly was hurting and she needed her mother more than ever. It was then that Mrs Cake made them both tea and were now sat at the kitchen table. “Pumpkin.” Mrs Cake started. “We need to discuss what we’re going to do with this foal.” “W-what you mean?” Pumpkin asked quietly. “Well, you clearly aren’t old enough to take care of it yourself, you’re still in school and a foal like this will ruin any future you ever had, especially if you want to enter an important profession. You’re too smart to throw this all away for a mistake. Giving it up is-“ “Mom, I… I want to keep it.” Pumpkin stated confidently, though nervous at how her mother might react. “Young filly, you can’t seriously sit there and tell me you intend to raise it, especially after Pound-“ “Please, Mom! Don’t…” Pumpkin was on the verge of tears again. It still hurt deeply that her brother had run away from home and left her. “I never said I wanted to be your coltfriend!” His words still hurt. Staring into her cup, Pumpkin wondered if her brother was ever coming back. She so desperately needed to see him again. “Why would you want to keep it?” Mrs Cake asked calmly. “It’s not exactly going to be a healthy foal, is it?” Pumpkin had thought about that, but she didn’t care. This was her and Pound’s baby and she still deeply loved her brother. She’d never dream of losing their child. “I’m just saying there are options. You could have it be adopted at birth, or if no one comes forward, there’s the lovely little home that houses new-borns.” “You mean the orphanage?” Pumpkin said without emotion. “It’s for the best.” Mrs Cake said with a smile. The first smile that Pumpkin had seen on her mother’s face in a while. “They’ll look after it, find the baby a proper home and give it a real family, a safe environment to grow up in. Don’t you think that’ll be for the best?” Pound arrived at Sugarcube corner. His heart was beating a mile a minute not just from the flight but from his nerves. As he approached to door, he still had no idea what he was going to do. He raised a hoof to open the door but then froze. He could hear voices. His mom and sister. Quietly, he opened the door and poked his head inside. There was no pony here. The store was closed for the night of course but since they lived there, they never needed to lock up till they went to bed for the night. Pound crept inside and listened in on their conversation. “-There’s the lovely little home that houses new-borns.” “You mean the orphanage?” Pumpkin. Pounds heart skipped a beat at the sound of her voice, he was so happy to be this close with her again, but yet, he didn’t move. “It’s for the best.” He heard Mrs Cake say. “They’ll look after it, find the baby a proper home and give it a real family, a safe environment to grow up in. Don’t you think that’ll be for the best?” Are they talking about the baby? Something twisted inside Pound’s stomach. “You really think it’s for the best, Mom?” Pumpkin asked. Maybe it would be for the best? Pound thought to himself. “Yes, sweet cake, I do. The baby will have the chance to be a normal foal, make friends without worry about who their parents are, or any of those bad things that would hinder it.” She’s right. Having a brother and sister as parents could ruin their life. Pounds heart felt heavy as he looked back towards to door, he was considering leaving again, this’ll all be fixed without him after all. “But what about me, mom?” Pumpkin said suddenly. “What am I supposed to do? Have you even considered what I want or how this’ll affect me?” “Pumpkin… of course I’m thinking of you.” “Then why do you think I wouldn’t be a good mom? W-why do you think I’ll not be able to- to raise them and give them a- a- a good life.” Pumpkin was on the verge of tears, stuttering her words trying to keep it together. “Please, listen,” Mrs Cake said, reaching a hoof out to her daughter. “I know this won’t be easy for you, but I’m looking out for what’s best for both of you.” Pumpkin got out of her seat and turned to face her mother. “No, that’s not what’s best. You’re thinking of the best way to fix a broken situation and hide away what we’ve done. Y-you’re asking me to give up on something- somepony that I love! Giving up m-my foal!” Tears were starting to flow down the side of her face now. “I’m going to love our foal! I’ll raise them and give them the best home I can.” “But how?” Mrs cake said. “You can’t raise a foal at such a young age and by yourself!” “She won’t be by herself!” Both Cup and Pumpkin Cake turned to the doorway to see Pound Cake standing there. “Pound!” Pumpkin instantly ran into him, hugging him tightly. He hugged her back just as hard, her warmth was so welcoming and he realised in that exact moment how much he missed her, how much he cared for her, and most importantly, how much he loved her. He never wanted to be separated from the filly ever again. “I’m sorry I ran away. I was so stupid.” “I-it’s okay,” She said in tears of happiness. “But where in Equestria have you been?” “I needed to clear my head.” He said, pulling away to look her in the face. “But I’m here now.” Turning to face his mother, Pound placed a hoof around his sister. “Mom. I love my sister. I love her with all my heart. I know that’s weird, but I don’t care. We’re going to take care of and raise our foal together.” Pumpkin was so overjoyed to hear her brother say that. Mrs Cake however looked more worried than ever. “B-but, you can’t! You’re both so young and this community would never accept such a thing! You ever think about the kind of environment you’ll be bringing the baby into?!” Just then Mr Cake walked into the kitchen. “I think the only type of community that matters, is the one in this house hold.” He said, patting his son on the back and giving his daughter a kiss on the top of her head. They both smiled up at him. “Honey bun, I know this is not a normal thing, but do you really think that this is a good enough reason to hurt our twins? I mean, there must be good ponies out there willing to accept this family, right?” “Yeah!” Pound shouted. ”I know Rumble and Scootaloo would be willing to accept us together. I told him and he’s happy for us. And, maybe the Apple family too!” “The apple’s?” Pumpkin asked quizzically. “Now now, that’s only a rumour though, Pound. Let’s not-” Mr Cake said. “Actually…” The three ponies looked to Mrs Cake who was scratching a hoof along the back of her neck. “There’s something I’ve just realised. Goodness me, it’s happening all over again.” “What is?” Pumpkin asked, confused. Mrs Cake sighed and then sat down, drinking the rest of her tea on one go. “You see…” “You can’t let any pony find out about this, if word got out-“ “Don’t worry, I promise no pony will know.” “Thanks, Chiffon.” Pear butter said, taking a sip of her tea. “Pear, I told you, I go by Cup Cake now. You know I’ve been married for almost a moon.” “Oh, sorry. I promise I’ll get used to it.” “It’s fine dearie. But… Applejack and Big Macintosh? Are you serious?” Pear butter nodded her head, looking down to the table. “Little AJ experienced her first heat last month and he was there for her… and now she’s pregnant.” Mrs Cake was still shocked from the news, Pear butter turned to face Cup Cake. “You can’t let any pony know, please. I… I just needed a friend to speak to. I couldn’t keep it bottled up and I’m so scared and… You’ll keep this between us, right?” The butter coloured earth pony placed a hoof on her friend, looking for reassurance that she’ll keep it a secret. “I swear, I’ll not tell another pony. But what are you going to do? Applejack is so young… maybe she can give the child up and have it adopted, no pony has to know then.” “No,” Pear butter said, stopping the mare. “No, I have a much better idea.” “Pear Butter had the plan to pose as Applebloom’s mother. No pony knew the truth, but when young AJ was seen putting on weight before she disappeared to manehatten and then returned the same day Pear Butter had a new foal, rumours started flying around, don’t you know?” “Well, I think that’s a great idea!” Mr cake said. His wife looked at him confused. “You could pose as the mother of their foal! It would be just like another little brother or sister for these two and they could love and care for it and not raise an eyebrow from other ponies because they’ll think they’re just looking after their sibling.” “Hmm, I… suppose that could work.” Mrs Cake said, thinking about it. “No.” Pumpkin said, surprising every pony. “I don’t want our foal’s life to be a lie. I know it’ll be hard and some might not accept it, but there are plenty of good ponies out there who do and they are the ones that matter, I don’t care about what others think.” “Yeah,” said Pound, backing up his sister. “And this isn’t exactly a unique thing. I bet it happens all the time in secret, but you can’t make the world better by hiding good things away.” Mr and Mrs Cake looked to each other. “Are you sure that is how you want to do this? For you and your baby?” Mr Cake asked. The twins looked to each other and then nodded to their father. “Then we’ll support you, right, honey?” Everypony looked to Mrs Cake. She seemed so conflicted by this. They had an idea that might work out best for their family, but looking at her children now… maybe this wasn’t the right way for a peaceful future, but this was the way they were going to go, and she would be there for them. She nodded and then the Cakes all hugged together tightly. They were back together again and no matter what comes next, they’d get through it as a family. Pound Cake carried a tray of rainbow sprinkled cupcakes on his back to the customers table. The large group of fillies and colts eagerly reached for them as he set the tray down. “Here you all go. Enjoy!” They all began eating the sweet treats greedily as the young stallion walked away smiling. They were all so cute, he thought and all so judgment free. Many months had passed and word had gotten out that he and his sister were now having a foal together. Since then certain members of the town had stopped coming to Sugarcube corner, but business was still good, however. Pinkie Pie had a way of drawing a positive crowd, yet there were still a few bad eggs out there. The broken window was evidence of that. The door opened and Pound’s father walked inside. “Hey son, everything okay?” “Hey dad, yeah, everything is fine. I’m getting used to running the shop alone, at least.” “Well I’m glad to hear it. You’ve got a lot to learn about responsibility, you know?” “Yeah. I- I know.” Pound still was unsure if he was ready to be a father, but he certainly wasn’t going to let anything stop him from being there for Pumpkin. School had been very hard for her. The pregnancy made things hard to focus on and while he was always by her side (and getting teased by his classmates) He always made sure she was as comfortable as possible. “Hey Dad, where’s Pumpkin? Wasn’t she with you?” “Oh, she will be home soon. Your mother wanted to stop by the Spa as a special treat for her.” “Is Mom doing okay?” “Nothing a little spa treatment won’t fix. The stress hasn’t been getting to her as bad anymore.” “Glad to hear it.” Their mom had been so nervous and panicky when around new ponies that were unaware of their family, and while Pumpkin was completely open about her pregnancy, Mrs Cake still struggled to admit her feelings on it. “Hey, don’t look so glum.” His dad said, placing a hoof around him. “Come on, let’s go and-“ Just then the door burst open and a pink ball of blurriness began bouncing around the room in rapid succession screaming. “THEBABYISCOMINGTHEBABYISCOMINGTHEBABYISCOMINGTHEBABYISCOMINGTHEBABYISCOMINGTHEBABYISCOMING-” Mr Cake grabbed a net from behind the counter and lifted it into the air. The pink ball got caught in in and he deposited a dizzy looking Pinkie Pie onto the floor as she trembled all over in excitment. “Alright Pinkie, calm down. Now, what’s going on?” Mr Cake asked. Pinkie was back up in a moment and screamed right in Carrot Cake’s face shaking him by his apron. “THE BABY IS COMING! THE BABY IS COMING!” “The baby?” Pound asked. Then realisation struck. “MY BABY?!” Pinkie jumped to Pound Cake. “YES! See, your mom and sister were at the spa and I was with Rarity, Applejack and Dashie, and Lotus was giving your sister a massage and then she complained of a feeling in her tummy and then there was a lot of water on the bench and then there was shouting and panicking and then the pegasi sent a flying ambulance and Dashie was all like, ‘I’ll get her to the hospital in ten seconds flat’ and she took the ambulance, leaving the pegamedics behind and rushed her to the hospital taking a few of us and Mrs Cake she said to send me to find you two and why are you still here listening to me, the story’s over! GO GO GO!!” Pound looked to his dad, shaken. “W-well, what are you waiting for? Go on ahead! I’ll lock up here. Don’t wait for me, I’ll be right behind you!” Pound Cake bolted and ran out the door and then took flight to the sky, flying over all the houses in a rush to get to Ponyville hospital. The baby is coming! Oh Please Celestia, hold on Pumpkin, hold on! I’m coming! Suddenly he was intercepted by Rumble who was now flying beside him. “Whoa, where’s the fire?” “It’s my sister! My sisters having the baby!” Pound shouted over the wind in his ears. “SHE’S WHAT?!” Rumble said stopping in midair leaving him stunned. “Alright! WAY TO GO, DUDE!” He called out to him in the distance. Pound flew as hard and as fast as he could, pushing his wings and body to their limits. Eventually he made it to the hospital but was completely out of breath, he was exhausted and couldn’t breathe properly. “My Goodness, what’s the matter?” A young assistant at the desk asked, worry in her voice. “Pumpkin… Baby… Father!” He said between breaths. “I’m sorry? Say that again.” The young mare asked. “Pound Cake, you’re here!” He turned around to see Rarity sat in the waiting room alongside Applejack and Rainbow Dash. “What kept Y’all? Is your father not with yah?” Applejack asked. Pound shook his head. “Stayed… behind… shop… closing…” “Geez, what’s up with you? You fly here from manehatten or something? You seriously need to work on your cardio.” Rainbow mocked him, laughing. “Where’s… Pumpkin?” He asked. “She’s down the hall, I’ll take you. Rainbow, Rare, you two wait for his father.” “Do tell us if there’s any update, darling.” Rarity asked as the two walked down the hall. Pound’s breathing slowly returned to a regular pace as they both walked down the hall. “Pound Cake.” Applejack said. “I want ya’ll to know that I think what you and Pumpkin are doing is very brave. I reckon it was the hardest choice in the world to do what ya’ll are doing. I mean, you being brother and sister an’ all. I wish I had that courage when I was a young’n.” Pound smiled at Applejack as she continued. “I’ve done what you’ve done and… You’re mighty brave not shying away from it. I guess what I’m trying to say is… I’ve been where you are. Being a young parent… with Applebloom an’ all. And if’n you ever need anything, the Apple family will be right there for you, no matter what.” “Thanks, Applejack. That means a lot.” Pound hesitated before he asked a very important question that he knew he’d have to deal with down the line with his child. “Umm, when… when did you tell Applebloom? I mean, that she’s your…” “It… err… was right before her first heat. That’s when she… you know… turned to Big Mac.” Applejack was blushing, clearly embarrassed about admitting all of her dirty laundry out. Especially to somepony so much younger than her. And yet, she felt it was the right choice, and it felt so good to finally be honest about this subject. “Applejack,” Pound started. ”you’ve got one of the best and most loving, kind and caring family’s I can imagine. I’m sure Applebloom’s foal will grow up to be just fine.” Applejack smiled at him. “I reckon yours will be too.” A scream from down the hall snapped them both out of their conversation. It was Pumpkin. Pound instantly took off at a sprint following her voice. A nurse was just walking out of the room Pumpkin was in and she stopped the young stallion. “Careful sir! Can I help-“ “Please, that’s my sister in there. You have to let me in!” Pound said desperately. “I understand your concern but I assure you, she’ll be alright. Your mother is already in there with her and we can’t have too many ponies in the room and we’re waiting on the father, so if you could just take a seat-“ “No, see, I am the father. She’s having my baby!” The nurse stood before him stunned, trying to process what he’d just said. He then pushed past her but she didn’t try and stop him. Applejack chuckled at the nurse’s shocked expression and then headed back down the hall. “Pumpkin!” Pound shouted as he ran up to his sister standing by her bedside. “P-Pound! You made it.” Pumpkin and Cup Cake both smiled at him. “Wild Timberwolves couldn’t keep me away.” He then held her left hoof with their mother holding her right. Pound then turned to the doctor and asked. “Is everything okay?” “Everything’s going really smoothly so far, young mares having children are becoming more common these days so we’re well enough equipped to handle any complications. Are you the father?” Pound nodded his head. “Pound.” Pumpkin said breathlessly. It’s really happening. We’re… we’re having a foal.” “Yeah. I… I can’t believe it either.” “Nor can I.” Their mother said with a serious tone. She then gave a light hearted chuckle which her children joined in on. Just then Pumpkin clenched and let out a short yelp, squeezing both of their hooves. “Pumpkin!” Pound shouted, feeling her squeeze him so tight, it had him scared. “Breathe sweetie, breathe.” “Mom, what’s happening?” Pound said worried. “She’s having contractions.” She said, continuing the stroke her daughter’s mane, comforting her. She then noticed the confused look on her son’s face. “Oh for the love of. Have you not been paying attention during those labour classes we sent you both to?” Pound nervously laughed. “My brother… The idiot.” Pumpkin said, laughing. “But I still love you.” The young unicorn smiled as she pulled him down for a quick kiss. “Alright, Miss Cake.” The doctor said, unfazed by the events before him. “Are you ready? Push.” Hours Later “Oh my gosh, this is so exciting.” “It’s wonderful” “I can’t believe it” All the ponies stood around the viewing room looking at all the new born fillies and colts, all wrapped up in tiny warm blankets in there little cots. “Can you believe the new baby is finally here?” Applejack said, looking to Rarity and Twilight. “Seems like only yesterday we were all here together when Cup Cake and Carrot Cake had their foals.” “And now it’s their foals having the baby!” Rarity said happily. “You think it’ll be like last time and we’ll find out they had twins?” Fluttershy asked. “Twins having twins?” Rainbow said with a laugh. “What are the odds of that?” “Actually, families with fraternal twins are more likely to have twins of their own, but of course there’s also the-“ “I wanna see the new baby pony!” Pinkie said, jumping in front of and cutting off Twilight, trying to get a better look through the glass window. “I wanna see! Which one is it?!” Applejack laughed thinking back. The more things changed, the more they always stayed the same. Pound Cake then walked into the room on the other side of the glass and headed to the crib with his foal in it to show them all, his baby. Hours Before Pumpkin held her baby close to her as she was physically and emotionally drained. All she could do was look at the new born colt in hooves with tears in her eyes. “He looks so handsome, just like his father.” Pumpkin said. Pound was sat in a chair beside the bed, while her mother sat on the bed with her daughter. The baby colt was still asleep. “He’s so tiny. I remember when you both were that small.” Their mother said with a fondness in her voice. “Pound? What are you so scared of?” His father asked from beside him. “You’ve been stiff as a board ever since your son arrived.” “I… I don’t know. I might hurt him. I’ve never held a baby.” “Neither have I, you know.” Pumpkin said back sticking her tongue out at him. “You had dolls though, I had action stallions!” “Yes,” Mr Cake said ”but I do recall that one time you had that tea party with your sister, and you wanted to be the mommy so-“ “DAD!” Pound shouted, turning beet red. The baby stirred and began to squirm, making upset fussy noises. “M-mom?” Pumpkin said worried. “Oh it’s okay. Here dearie, let me hold him.” Pumpkin gently passed the baby to her mother, she held her grandson in her hooves gently and shook him a tiny bit, shushing him quietly and then faced her son. “Right, Pound, do exactly as I do.” The young stallion hesitated at first, but then imitated his mother’s hoof movements. “That’s good, now here.” She gently leaned forward, passing her grandson to her son. “Hold the baby like this, careful, support his head. No no, use your crook of your- that’s it. Good. There, now, gently rock him back and forth.” Pound Cake was now holding his son. His back was straight and stiff as a board still but after a while, slowly, while cradling the tiny pony in his hooves, he relaxed into it. The baby was no longer fussing and returned to a restful state. “There see, you’re a natural born father.” His mother said with nothing but pride in her voice. Carrot cake went to his wife and placed a hoof around her. All four of them were together, looking over the latest addition to their family. A small lemon coloured earth pony colt with a two tone mane. Half white, half pink, all curly like his mothers. He looked down at his son as he rested. He was so small, so innocent and yet, so perfect. Pound had been worried of what if the baby was born with only one wing or something weird, but no. He was a wonderful normal colt Pound felt that unconditional love that a father feels for their child. “He- he’s just… the sweetest little angel.” Pound said, choking up and trying not to get too emotional. “Hey, that’s a point.” Mr Cake said “The little guy needs a name.” Pumpkin smiled to her brother. “I think we already have one.” The next day Welcome Home, Angel Cake! The banner was hung up in front of Sugarcube corner while the party inside was in full swing. Pinkie had held nothing back, save for anything too loud for the new baby. Pound and Pumpkin sat side by side with the new mother holding their baby, Angel Cake. Guests came over again and again congratulating them both and wanting to see the baby. So many residents came to the celebration and it really made them both happy to receive so much support. Of course all their friends were there too, saying that the baby was the most adorable pony they’d ever seen. Big Mac, Applejack and Applebloom all came over with their latest family member, Gala Apple, a light red earth pony with a yellow mane. She was still a young filly and yet to discover her cutie mark. They all talked and each spoke about what a difference the twins were making. Little Gala surprised them all when she was looking at the baby and then spoke up for the first time that night. “I wish I had a brother, then we could have beautiful babies just like yours.” Applebloom blushed red as she said that while other ponies in earshot chuckled, thinking it was just cute. The filly was adorable but she didn’t seem to understand the taboo nature of what she had just said. But wasn’t that what they wanted? For the next generation of ponies to be open and accepting of things like these? Rumble then came over with Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle. Sweetie instantly was being jumped on by Gala. Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo had been made honorary aunties by Applebloom and the young filly always loved to hear their stories of their crusading adventures. “Hey, you two.” Rumbles said ”Congratulations! I’m so happy for you both!” Scootaloo then came up close to the tiny foal being held by Pumpkin. “Oh wow, he’s so cute.” Scootaloo said, and then looked towards Rumble. ”See, I told you babies don’t look like boiled potatoes!” “I-I-I never said that!” Rumble said, defending himself. “Oh, so then why can’t we have one?” “Because… I mean, what about your career?” “I can do two things, you know. I’m not a dolt like you!” “I’m not a dolt! I just can’t focus on other things while cooking! It’s important.” The two continued to argue back and forth for a while with everypony pretending to ignore them, but some couldn’t help laughing at the pair. The rest of the night continued like this until the guests had all left. Pound and Pumpkin then took their baby upstairs to his new bedroom. Pound had given up his room for the baby so that he could have his own as he grew up. They twins then laid their foal down and watched quietly as he slept. “I can’t believe this is all happening. How is this real?” Pound said. Pumpkin then wrapped her hooves around his right foreleg. “I dunno. He’s a little miracle.” She said with a smile. “With the sweetest and most beautiful mom in the world.” “And a caring and handsome father.” The two started at each other lovingly and then shared a kiss together. They held it for a few seconds and then separated, looking at each other through half lidded eyes. “I love you, Pumpkin.” “I love you too.” She blushed in the darkness and as they both kissed again. They were both still so young, but now they had to grow up fast for their baby. But maybe they could play once more. Soon the pair were walking towards the door, still locked at the lips and then separated for just a moment. “See you in the bedroom in five minutes?” Pound asked. “Make it three, daddy.” Pumpkin then she turned around and walked off, teasingly flagging her tail as she went, showing herself off to her brother, showing she was ready for him. She then gave him a seductive look and then disappeared into their bedroom. Pound smiled as he felt himself starting to get aroused. Before following her, he then stopped himself and turned back to see is son in the cot, sleeping quietly. “Sleep well, Angel Cake. I love you, son.” Pound Cake then left the door ajar as he went after his sister. No matter what comes next, he knew that life couldn’t get better than this.
