Chrysalis's favorite pet

Twilight grinned as she disembarked the train. Finally, another friendship mission! The map had called her and her alone to an isolated village on the outskirts of southern Equestria - and she couldn't wait to see what she could discover there. The area was near the changeling border, true - but that just meant more history in the area, from decades if not centuries of skirmishes nearby.

The mare quickly trotted down the short road to her destination, as it would not take long for her to reach the town. The ponies within seemed fairly happy, but she did hear a shouting match within a pub - causing the mare to tense, quickly moving to enter, glancing around quickly.

"Do you honestly expect me to believe that!?" one stallion yelled at another, glaring at him as he bared his teeth - the other baring his own as he pressed their foreheads together, growling "How many times do I have to tell you!? That's just the way it works!"

The princess took a few steps deeper into the inn, not noticing the shadow clinging to the ceiling above the door until it was too late - a weight quickly falling onto her her back as she cried out, collapsing even as she felt something lash around her horn tightly, sealing to it before disconnecting, forming a ring - black tentacles quickly wrapping around her mouth, legs, barrel and wings to hold her tight, as her heart almost skipped a beat as she heard the familiar cackle of Queen Chrysalis atop her, all of the ponies in the pub transforming into changelings.

"Excellent job!" The Queen exclaimed, looking over her servants as Twilight paled and began to struggle fruitlessly - Chrysalis purring "The foal didn't realize we were walking her right into a trap", before she smirked and quickly stood - using her hooves to force Twilight onto her back, who stared up at her with fear-filled eyes - Chrysalis placing a hoof beneath her chin, before purring "True, conquering a village is no easy feat... But you know what's harder? Hacking into your own 'friendship map' to have it send you right into my hooves! Hah, you are beyond help, slave..."

Twilight glared defiantly at her, trying to hide her fear and horror at the situation - a fruitless effort when faced with a changeling, as Chrysalis licked her own lips before cooing "See you tonight... We are going to have so much... Fun~".

Chrysalis's horn lit up green, and after a flash, Twilight knew only darkness...
