//-------------------------------------------------------// Star Trek Equestria: Valentine’s Day Special -by Captain_Cosmos- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Love Is In Bloom Pt 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Love Is In Bloom Pt 1 Twilight and Jessica were out in the botanical gardens, having a nice picnic under the clear night sky. Sharing a nice moment together. Twilight took a bite out of her sandwich and smiled. "A picnic under the stars with the most beautiful creature in the galaxy. What could be a better way to finish off Hearts and Hooves day?" Jessica shook her head. "Literally no other way Twilight. This is nice." Twilight nodded as she leaned in to muzzle her girlfriend. "Yeah it is. Especially since that demon hasn't made a peep all day, right?" "Oh you can bet I will make a peep today. More than that actually." Jessica groaned as the scene around her turned to the familiar back void that only meant one thing. She stood up and turned to see Nightmare Moon standing there. Jessica glared at the demon. "One dream. Is it too much to ask for ONE dream to be left untouched by you these days?" NM chuckled. "Oh but it is just so much fun ruining your dreams. Especially the romantic variety." Jessica groaned. "At least you still can't touch us in the waking world." NM lifted an eyebrow. "Do you not remember the Yule Ball?" "Oh you mean the one where you turned me into a human you after the Waltz? Believe me when I say I WISH I could forget about that." "I was using the magic from that tradition to show you what you will become when I take full control over you." "I wish you hadn't. Do you have any idea how humiliated I was? My first Yule Ball, my first time partaking in an ancient Equestrian tradition, something Twilight was excited to share with me, and you ruined it just because you wanted to pull a Rarity and give me fashion advice, terrible fashion advice at that." "As I recall I did not do that until the Waltz ended." "Doesn't matter. You still did it, the entire Ball had to be paused, and now all of Equestria, and possibly all of Equuis, knows about you, and probably won't welcome me back until they have confirmation that you're gone." NM chuckled. "Good. I wanted them to know about my return." Jessica groaned. NM was a villain through and through, but why she insisted on letting everyone know she was around instead of taking them by surprise, which was tactically more sound, was simply beyond her. Jessica shook her head. "Well, you may have been able to ruin the Yule Ball for me, but this time there will be no ancient magic at play here, no spells, no incantations, no ancient dance routines, just me, Twilight, and the whole day to ourselves before the Valentine Open Mic Dance Party Dinner tonight. So you can just cork it right now and leave me be today." NM laughed. "Ha! We shall see you brat!" It was a nice warm Sunday morning in San Fransisco. The sun was rising, to the joy of most, the birds were chirping, and in dorm 321, a certain lavender Alicorn slowly woke from her slumber. She opened her eyes and was immediately greeted with the sunlight pouring into the room and the sight of her roommates. Spike, who was sleeping in his basket on the floor right next to her bed, J-35, who was in low power mode next to the other bed, and Jessica, who was in that other bed. Twilight frowned when she noticed that Jessica had a frown on her face. A common occurrence these days she knew, but still hated seeing, majorly because of the role she had played in putting it there. 'It's not right. That frown is there because of something she should never have had to deal with. Because of something I gave her.' 'Ugh! You say that every time you see that frown while she sleeps! When are you going to stop blaming yourself? She certainly doesn't. No pony does.' 'I'll stop when the demon is gone for good.' 'That's unhealthy you know. Imagine what Jessica would think if she knew you were STILL blaming yourself. If she felt it was your fault she definitely would've said something.' 'I know, but I just can't help but blame myself for her nightmares lately.' The voice inside Twilight groaned. 'We've been having this argument since we found out you brought the demon here. She snuck into your mind and used you to hide and you never saw it coming. Get over it. It's in the past. We won't beat her by moping about and feeling sorry for ourselves, especially not today. Now, you know EXACTLY how to turn that frown upside down. So get moving, and leave worrying about the demon to J-35 and Spike today. They can handle working on the mind manipulation device. Because the sooner the modifications are done—' 'The sooner we can get rid of the demon. I know.' The sound of an alarm interrupted Twilight's conversation with the voice in her head. The alarm began stirring the dorm's still sleeping occupants. Twilight immediately lit her horn and magically pressed the snooze button. Once the alarm was disabled, she got out of bed, careful not to disturb spike, and quietly trotted over to Jessica. Once she was close enough, she leaned forward into Jessica's neck and nuzzled it. She had learned early on in their friendship that Jessica's neck was particularly sensitive. Which not only allowed Twilight to gain the upperhoof in more than one tickle fight, but was an effective way to make Jessica smile no matter how down she was. A few seconds of nuzzling later and Twilight heard a soft giggling coming from the waking Jessica. Jessica felt soft and furry start rubbing against her neck, causing the girl to stir awake giggling. "Nngh...Twilight. Stop that. You know that tickles." Twilight giggled. "As long as it gets you to wake up smiling, I'll continue to get you right in the most ticklish spots." Jessica chuckled as she sat up. "Oh? And what if I decide to retaliate?" Before Twilight could respond, Jessica suddenly reached out and pulled Twilight onto the bed, pinned her to the bed, and proceeded to run her fingers up and down Twilight's sides. Resulting in the Alicorn letting out loud fits of laughter. In his basket, Spike, having been woken up by the alarm and Twilight's laughter, tried to block it out, but eventually gave up and sat up. Stretching, he glared at the couple having a tickle fight, he groaned and called out to them. "You know, there are people who are trying to sleep in here!" Jessica stopped tickling Twilight and helped her back up on her haunches. Twilight smiled apologetically at spike. "Sorry Spike." "We didn't wake you did we?" Spike shook his head. "The alarm did that. But I prefer to ease into the waking world not be thrown into it." Jessica chuckled. "Sorry about that." Spike smiled. "It's fine. So, how'd you two sleep?" Twilight smiled. "I slept alright. You Jessica?" Jessica chuckled. "I almost made it through the whole night without hearing from her." Twilight and spike arched an eyebrow. "Almost?" "When did she come in and ruin the dream?" "Hmm. I'd say about, ten minutes before the alarm went off." Twilight smiled. "At least you got most of the night to have a good dream." Jessica nodded. "And what a good dream it was too. You and me having a picnic under the stars on Valentine's Day." They all heard a steady stream of beeps and turned to see J-35 power up. Her photoreceptor powered up to see her smiling roommates. She beeped out a good morning, then turned her head module to look at Jessica. She beeped out a question. Jessica smiled. "I slept better than I had in a while J-35. I only saw NM in the last ten minutes of sleep." J-35 beeped out several happy beeps, expressing her gladness for Jessica. Spike shook his head. "I still don't get how you can understand her Jessica. It's just a series of beeps at different tones and volumes." Jessica chuckled. "Some people are just blessed with the gift of understanding droid speak. I can try and teach you if you want spike." Spike nodded. "Yeah. That would be great, another time. Today, you two have somewhere else to be." Twilight chuckled as she hopped off Jessica's bed and proceeded into the bathroom to brush her teeth. "Are you sure you'll be fine here working on the mind manipulation device with J-35 spike? You can just come with us for the day." Spike immediately shook his head. "No. Today is all about you two. It's Valentine's Day/Hearts and Hooves Day and you two are going to spend it with each other, doing literally anything other than worrying about a demon who can't hurt us right now. Leave that to me and J-35 and go have some fun for a change." Jessica chuckled. "Well if you're sure. J-35?" J-35 beeped out a reply to Jessica's unspoken question. Jessica's eyes widened at a result. "Really? This is why you came here to help us with the mind manipulation device?" Twilight, having been listening to the conversation, arched an eyebrow. "What's the reason Jessica?" "J-35 wanted to come and help us work on the mind manipulation device, just so we could have days like today to ourselves. Aww. J-35 that's so sweet of you." Twilight nodded. "Yeah J-35. Thanks." J-35 beeped your welcome before revving her engine and took off around the dorm. Causing Jessica to lift an eyebrow. "J-35? What're you—" Jessica was cut off by a toothbrush full of toothpaste jammed into her mouth by J-35, causing her to nearly choke on it. She reach up and plucked the brush out of her mouth in shock. "Whoa, J-35 what was that for?!" J-35 beeped out a reply as she reached into an open drawer and started looking for an outfit for Jessica, who couldn't help but chuckle at the reply. "Oh, is that it? Hey Twilight." Twilight answered Jessica. "Yeah Jess?" "It would seem we aren't welcome here anymore because J-35 is being rather impatient in waiting for you to be finished in there." Twilight and Spike let out a loud fit of laughter. "Really? She's trying to kick you two out?" "I thought you liked us J-35?" J-35 beeped several times. Jessica giggled. "Did Minnie and Mickey turn you into a hardcore romantic J-35? Because you seem a little TOO onboard with this relationship if it means that much to you that my love life goes well despite anything that happens." J-35 beeped out a response, Spike turned to Jessica. "What did she say Jessica?" Jessica smiled. "She said that she was just really happy I finally found my soulmate and just wants to make sure we actually have some good memories so that our first year as a couple isn't marked ENTIRELY by a war against a demon in my head." Spike and Twilight couldn't help but laugh. "Wow. She's a good wingman, er, wing droid I should say." Jessica nodded. "The best—oof." Jessica grunted as J-35 threw an outfit at her and beeped, telling her to get moving. Jessica chuckled. "Ok ok J-35. I'm going." Some time later, down in the mess hall, Luke walked up to the replicator for breakfast. "Scrambled eggs, bacon, and a glass of milk." The replicator replicated the request and a tray with the order phased into the recess. Once the order had fully phased in, Luke smiled and grabbed the tray, went to an empty table, and sat down to have breakfast. "Welp, no better way to start another Valentine's Day than with a good breakfast, alone, just like always." He gave out a slightly annoyed chuckle. Usually the fact that he was alone for Valentine's Day didn't bother him, but this year was different. Jessica, who he normally spent the day with, now actually had a lover to spend the day with. And Luke now had his eye on his Romulan friend, and had yet to make his move. 'Ugh! Why is it so hard to talk to T'Nea about my feelings? Jessica confessed to her crush, and a demon in her head complicated that endeavor, this should be a cake—' "Morning luke, how're you?" Luke was brought out of his train of thought by the voice of his friend, and crush. He looked up to see T'Nea standing there, with a tray of bacon, scrambled eggs and a glass of milk. Luke smiled and tried to talk normally. "Oh, morning T'Nea, I'm doing fine. You?" T'Nea smiled as she sat down next to Luke. "I'm doing good. It's a beautiful day, love is in the air, and I feel as peachy and cheery as I can be." He didn't know why but Luke didn't like the way she said that, mainly because of what that could've meant. "Oh? Any particular reason why?" T'Nea chuckled. "Nope. Just feeling fine and dandy today." Luke, not completely convinced, decided to just drop it and nod. "Eh, I suppose there really isn't a reason not to feel good today. After all, happiness can be contagious." T'Nea nodded. "Tell me about it. So. Anything planned for today Luke?" Luke shook his head. "Not since Jessica and Twilight got together. Jessica and I would usually spend today doing something together. But now that she has Twilight, I'm kinda left hanging." "That's too bad. Bet you two always have a fun time." Luke nodded. "Yep. But today, with Jessica and Twilight spending the day together, I guess I'm on my own today." "What's everyone else doing?" "Ivan is studying. Fluttershy and Rainbow are going on a flying sightseeing expedition. Rarity and Pinkie are probably beaming over to Paris right now. Sunset and Starlight are... doing something, not exactly sure what. Applejack and Rara are spending the day at the Agricultural Museum, and Spike and J-35 are working on that mind manipulation machine and have forbade anyone else from bothering them until tonight. So...yeah. Everyone is busy." T'Nea nodded. "Everyone's sure gonna make today memorable." Luke nodded. "Especially Sunset for Starlight. The only thing she'd tell me about her plans for today, and this is without her in the room, is that she's planning on proposing to Starlight through song. Probably tonight at the Valentine's Day Open Mic Dance Party Dinner." T'Nea nodded. "Hm. Well good for them." Luke nodded. "I for one hope it goes well." "Me too." They both nodded and continued to eat their meals. After a few minutes, Luke spoke again. "So. What're you going to do today?" T'Nea shrugged. "Only thing I have planned is Cosmic Harmony's performance tonight. Other than that I got nothing. You?" Luke shook his head. "Nothing important except for tonight. Eh, I suppose I could log onto Space Engineers and continue building the NX-091299, I'm sure Jessica wouldn't mind me doing a little building today." T'Nea arched an eyebrow. "NX-091299? Space Engineers? What're those?" Luke smiled. "Space Engineers is a Space Sandbox Simulation computer game where you can build, practically anything you want. Spaceships, robots, tanks, cars, the possibilities are are endless." T'Nea smiled. "Ooh. Sounds interesting. And the NX-091299?" "The starship Jessica and I are co designing and building. Once we finish it, we're gonna spawn it in a multiplayer battle server and test its capabilities." "Ooh. Interesting. Maybe it's something I should check out." Luke nodded. "You definitely should. It's amazing. Hey, if you want to bring your computer over, it only takes a second to set up an account, we could log you in and we can play together." T'Nea's face lit up. "Can you show me around the NX-091299?" Luke nodded. "Come on." He and T'Nea finished their breakfast and headed out back to the dorms. To he continued. Author's Note D-35 and the Yule Ball incident will be explained in more detail during the Christmas Special. Also next chapter will be up during the weekend. //-------------------------------------------------------// Love Is In Bloom Pt 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Love Is In Bloom Pt 2 Starlight and Sunset walked through the door into the holodeck, Sunset gave Starlight a confused look. "Starlight? Sweetie, what are we doing here exactly?" Starlight turned around and smiled at her marefriend. "We're here so I can give you your Hearts and Hooves day gift. Take a guess at what it is. Go on, guess." Sunset rubbed her chin in thought. "Well, if we're in the holodeck than, it's some kind of program?" Starlight nodded . "She's right on the money. But, this isn't just an ordinary program. This one you should recognize right off the bat. Computer. Begin program ShimmerGlimmer, starting point, Canterlot High." As soon as Sunset heard those words, her eyes widened as the environment around them changed from the cold dark metal of the holodeck to the bright sunny openness of Canterlot City, in the Alternate Universe. Sunset looked around and sure enough, she and Starlight were standing in the front courtyard of Canterlot high, right by the statue, which doubled as the original portal to Equestria. Right away, Sunset was hit with memories of her time in this world. Good memories, bad memories, all of it was coming back. Sunset turned to Starlight with a look of confusion. Starlight, sensing the coming question, smiled. "I know how much you miss this world. The life you had here, I also know that you were bummed when our planned trip through the portal over the holidays didn't work out for the girls cross the portal. So, since we can't just make a day trip across the portal. I got in contact with Sci-Twi, and asked for her help in making this holodeck program." That got Sunset's attention. Sci-Twi helped Starlight do this? But that would mean... "Hang on a second, I write to my friends in this world all the time via the journal, how did I not see YOUR messages to Sci-Twi by accident?" Starlight chuckled. "I may have ripped those pages out, and done a little magic to make it look like it was never missing." Sunset's eyes widened in realization, she had allowed Starlight to use the journal as well, so she developed the habit of checking who the subsequent messages were for before reading. She wouldn't read any messages that were for Starlight without her permission. Though another thing came to mind. "And I'm willing to bet that someone on Equuis had to be the "middle pony" in order for Sci-Twi to deliver this program to you." Starlight nodded. "Remind me to thank Flash Sentry for being there to get the data node from Sci-Twi, and sending it on the next mail transport here. Oh, and there's more. This particular program has something special. The part that makes it much more than just another program." "Oh sunset. Guess who!" Sunset's eyes widened as she heard a very familiar voice sing song. She turned got a face full of confetti. She spat out the confetti that got in her mouth as she groaned. "Grah, Pinkie! I thought we agreed you would never—hold the phone." Sunset realized what she had just said, and more specifically, WHO she said it too. There was only one party girl who ever blasted confetti in her face, and it wasn't the Equestrian Pinkie. Sunset's eyes widened as she saw them, her six friends from across the portal, standing their, in all their human glory, smiling at her. "Girls?!" AU Pinkie rushed up and wrapped her arms around Sunset, squeezing her. "Yay! Twilight's latest project actually worked! We're actually here in your world Sunny!" Sci-Twi nodded. "Since binary code is universal between our two universes, it was simply a matter of creating a virtual representation of Canterlot City, scanning each of us in and putting it all on a portable storage device that is capable of transversing the interdimensional barrier. Though I must admit..." Sci-Twi looked around at her friends, than at herself. "Actually seeing us as a collection photons and force fields is beyond anything I could've imagined." She looked around at the surrounding area. "This, holodeck, is beyond any current Virtual Reality technology across the portal." Sunset did a double take of what Sci-Twi just said. Photons? Forcefields? Did that mean... Sunset lifted an eyebrow. "Hang on a second, they know they're holograms?" Everyone nodded. "I asked Sci-Twi to make their virtual selves self-aware." Sci-Twi nodded. "In addition to this virtual environment, I also took the liberty of adding our memories to our subroutines. In essence, we're us, right up until the point where I scanned us all in." Sunset slowly smiled. "You mean you have your memories of Camp Everfree, the Friendship games, the Battle of the Bands?" AU Applejack nodded. "Eeyup. Gotta admit. Twilight's tech know how is pretty impressive." AU Rainbow nodded. "But pales in comparison to what you must have over here. I mean. Seriously Sunset? Spaceships and alien races and VR rooms without needing the bulky headwear? Why do you get all the—ow, Rarity what was that for?" AU Rarity, who had elbowed AU Rainbow in the gut gestured to Sunset. "You're ruining the moment for her." Sunset paid it no mind as she was too busy trying to hold back tears. And was failing spectacularly. Whether it was the fact that she missed her AU friends more than she thought or that Starlight actually loved her enough to do this, it didn't matter to her. Starlight noticed Sunset's tears and gave her a concerned look. "Sunny? Everything ok?" Sunset nodded. "Yeah. Just, you didn't have to do this Starlight." Starlight nodded. "I know. But we're not able to just hop across the portal any old time anymore. So I figured. Why not bring the Alternate Universe here?" AU Fluttershy nodded. "When Starlight told us what she had in mind. We all signed up on the spot." AU Rarity nodded. "You should've seen Fluttershy darling. You'd have mistaken her for a totally different person. She wasn't even fazed by the fact that Twilight wanted to scan us." Sunset chuckled. "Really?" AU Rainbow nudged Sunset with her elbow. "For a friend like you? We'd power through anything Twilight over there can cook up with that crazy smart brain of hers." Sci-Twi nodded. "It's definitely been a difficult task. But anything for my first ever friend." Sunset nodded while Starlight smiled. "So. Do I get an A+ for this?" Sunset wrapped her forelegs around Starlight in a crushing hug. "And so much more. Thank you. Thank you all." The six girls smiled as they all huddled around Sunset in one massive group hug. They stayed like that for a few minutes until Pinkie started bouncing. "Alright girls, lets get this day started! Come on!" Pinkie started skipping away. After a moment, the rest of the group laughed and followed. But before they followed, Sunset pulled Starlight in and pressed her lips against hers in a passionate kiss. After a good minute, they parted. Sunset smiled. "That is for being the best girlfriend ever." Starlight chuckled. "Happy Hearts and Hooves Day Sunny." Several thousands of miles away from Starfleet Academy, in the gorgeous city of Paris, Rarity and Pinkie reached the top of the Eiffel Tower, the minute they climbed onto the platform, Rarity charged to the railing and looked out into the city, completely in awe of the view. "My GOODNESS!! I simply cannot overstate how beautiful this city is!" Pinkie chuckled as she trotted up beside Rarity. "I knew you'd like it. I was talking to Jessica about it the other day and when she said that it was the most romantic city on Earth, I knew where I was taking you." "That doesn't even begin to describe it Pinkie! The style, the elegance, the fashion, it's beyond anything I could've imagined!!" Pinkie smiled. "I knew you'd like it." Rarity smiled as she turned to wrap her forelegs around Pinkie. "Pinkie Pie, of all the surprises you've given me over the past year and a half, this one is by far the best. Thank you thank you thank you!" Pinkie smiled. "You are so very welcome Rarebear." "Bonjour young ladies, this is your first time visiting Paris yes?" Pinkie and Rarity turned to to see a human boy in an outfit that suggested that he worked at the tower. Pinkie nodded. "Hello sir. Yes. This is our first time here." She wrapped a foreleg around Rarity. "We're here to celebrate our first Hearts and Hooves day here on Earth, or as it's known here. Valentine's Day." The man smiled. "Ah, you are here for ze romantic atmosphere of Paris. Good, good. You are enjoying your time here?" Rarity nodded. "So very much monsieur, Paris is a beautiful city." The man nodded. "Yes it is. Would you ladies care for a photo in this setting to commemorate this wonderful occasion?" Rarity smiled. "Oh, you're a professional photographer?" The man nodded. "Anton Ego at your service. Now, will that be portrait or landscape ladies?" Rarity was about to answer, before something hit her. "Hold that thought." She lit her horn and called over a bag from one of the many stores she and Pinkie stopped in. She levitated two berets out of the bag and dropped them onto their heads. Rarity then sent the bag back to where they had left the other bags and nodded. "Landscape if you don't mind Monsieur Ego." Ego nodded as Rarity and Pinkie got into position. "Now." Ego raised his camera. "Say croissants." He pressed the button and took the picture. Meanwhile, in California, Rainbow was following Fluttershy to an unknown location. She looked around, and then at her watch. They had been flying for a half hour, and Fluttershy had not said a word as to where they were going, only that Rainbow was to follow her. Rainbow flapped her wings to move to fly alongside Fluttershy and shot her a questioning look. "Ok Flutters, we've been flying at your top speed for a half hour, and I still don't know where your taking me. All you said was that you little birdie friends back at Starfleet Academy told you about this place." Fluttershy nodded. "Yes they did. They said that it was a special spot that makes for a nice Sight Seeing expedition." Rainbow arched an eyebrow. "And Your sure they aren't just pulling our legs here?" Fluttershy chuckled. "Don't worry Dashie, our birdie friends have never steered us wrong before." Rainbow sighed. Fluttershy had a point. "Alright. I'll trust you on this 'shy. But can you please tell me where it is we're going at least?" Fluttershy giggled as she noticed something below them. She smiled at the sight. "I could tell you, or you could look down, because we're here." Rainbow looked down and her eyes widened at the sight below them. Below them was a massive river area, filled with more green than had seen in a long time. "Whoa. What's with the river?" Fluttershy smiled. "It's called the Russian River. The birdies said it was a pretty special place this time of year." Rainbow descended a few feet to investigate, and found herself in awe of how massive the River was. "Hm, it's pretty big for a river." Fluttershy nodded as she descended with Rainbow. "That's what I thought too when I looked into it. I also looked into something else that might interest you." Rainbow lifted an eyebrow. "What's that?" Fluttershy giggled as she leaned in to whisper into Rainbow's ear. "No speed limits." Rainbow smiled. "I can go fast here!" Fluttershy giggled and nodded. "As fast as you want. This river stretches for miles in either direction, so you can go all out without worrying about crossing into a speed limit zone." Rainbow smiled as she realized what happened. "This is why you brought me out here isn't it." Fluttershy nodded. "I also thought that maybe we could fly over some of the surrounding green area, but I miss being able to see you do some of your signature moves. Like the Sonic Rainboom." "I thought you were always worried I'd break something?" Fluttershy nodded. "Yes. I always worry. But at the same time. You're called Rainbow DASH for a reason, and that reason is going at ridiculously high speeds for long periods of time. Who am I to deny that part of you?" Rainbow smiled and moved in to hug Fluttershy. "You're awesome Fluttershy. You know that right?" Fluttershy giggled. "Thanks. Now, let me see that Sonic Rainboom, I mean, if you don't—mmmph!" Rainbow didn't give her a chance to finish that sentence before pressing her lips against hers. They stayed kissing in the air for a long as they could before needing to separate for air. Rainbow smiled. "The Sonic Rainboom is more a grand finale type move, a grand finale to an awesome day with you. I don't mind going on that sightseeing flight first." Fluttershy smiled and nodded. Together, they descended into the area to explore the Russian River. Back in San Fransisco, Rara and Applejack sat down at the table in the food court for lunch, and trying to forget about what they just saw. Applejack shivered. "Ok, maybe going into that particular exhibit wasn't the best idea." Rara nodded. "Tell me about it. I knew meat was part of the Human diet, but sweet Celestia was I not expecting that." She and Applejack shivered again. Applejack shook her head. "Good thing we got that out of the way before we ate. I'd have thrown it back up." Rara nodded. "Agreed." They both shook their heads and decided to just eat, so they dug in. After a few minutes of just eating. Rara swallowed her latest bite and decided to break the silence. "So. Other than that last exhibit. It's been a good day here. It's so fascinating learning how other species handle things like farming." Applejack nodded. "Yeah. It's also interesting to see that music is a part of country life here. So there was something that piqued your interest." That got both of them chuckling. Rara nodded. "I'll admit, that country singer we walked by sounded good. But you'll always be my favorite." Applejack blushed. "Rara, you and I both know that your voice will always be better than mine. You were a professional singer." Rara nodded. "True, but Applejack, no matter what pedestal you put me on, remember 🎶that I am just a pony🎶." Both of them chuckled when Rara did that. It was an excerpt from one of her most popular songs. Rara smiled. "In all seriousness though AJ, I'm having a ton of fun with you today. It's a nice change of pace from our usual routine." Applejack chuckled. "And it's a nice break from a certain bringer of eternal night. I wonder how far along the mind manipulation device is." "I hope it's almost done. I feel bad for Jessica." "Me too sugarcube. Me too. I wonder how Jessica and Twilight are doing today?" 🎶I'll break it down! So you can't hide it No matter what you do I'm gonna steal your heart!🎶 The crowd was cheering as the singer finished his performance. Among the cheering crowd was Jessica and Twilight, who had decided fo spend the day at Golden Gate Park, which had a Valentine's Day parade going on. A moment after the singer finished the song, his float moved forward. Twilight and Jessica watched. "How did this get past us? You'd think a parade would be advertised more?" Jessica shook her head. "I'm chalking it up to a combination of schoolwork and the demon." Twilight nodded. "Oh right. Well, now we know that it's a thing for the future." Jessica nodded. "Yep." They noticed that people were starting to crowd the parade route, meaning it must've been over. "Well, looks like the parade's over." Twilight sighed. "That's too bad. Earth parades are more of a spectacle than I would've expected. I'm always left with wanting more." Jessica chuckled as they started walking around. "Glad to see that us non-magically inclined humans can still impress even the most talented of mages with the wonders of technology." Twilight smiled and nodded. "Yeah. Humans are an impressive species. One in particular has caught my interest." Jessica smirked. "Oh? And who was impressive enough to do that?" "She has navy blue hair, a beautiful smile, is a little taller than me. And has the most beautiful eyes I've ever looked in to." Jessica smiled. "Do I know this person? Does she attend Starfleet Academy, and play in a band?" Twilight nodded. "Yes she does, lead guitar. She also has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard." "She sounds like a pretty rad girl. Maybe you should introduce us some time." "I don't need to. Because you already know her. Probably more than anyone else in the galaxy." Jessica chuckled. "Ok. Did you drink a love potion or something? You seem a little more romantic than usual?" Twilight laughed. "I guess it's probably the day. Before now I'd just sit in the library and read. But this is way more fun." Jessica smiled as she wrapped an arm around Twilight. "You bet it is. We gotta Thank Spike and J-35 for basically kicking us out today." Twilight chuckled. "Yeah. We needed this, admittedly." Jessica nodded as she pulled out her phone. "Hearts Valentine's and Hooves Day selfie?" Twilight's face lit up as she moved her head close to Jessica's to fit into the selfie. Jessica held her phone out with the camera enabled. "Say cheese." Jessica pressed the button and the camera snapped the picture. Jessica checked the picture and smiled. "That's a keeper alright." Twilight smiled, nodded, and without even thinking, leaned in and pecked Jessica on her cheek with her lips. Jessica felt the contact and smiled, though she was also confused. "What was that for?" Twilight giggled. "I just, got the urge to do it. There was nothing stopping me and, I felt like I just had to." Jessica giggled and leaned in to kiss Twilight square on the lips. Twilight didn't even hesitate to return the kiss. After a few seconds, they pulled apart. Jessica smiled at Twilight. "I love you so much Twilight." "I love you too Jessica. More than you can possibly imagine." Jessica giggled. "I don't know, I have a pretty big imagination. Even with a certain annoying crackpot in it." NM heard Jessica and scoffed. "What? Are you saying you do not WANT me here? Ok come on. Where's the love for me? Even I have a heart." Jessica said nothing as a phaser pistol appeared in her hand. She aimed to the side and shot NM square in the chest, blasting her back into the void. Satisfied, she returned her full attention to the screen, right as Twilight leaned in to kiss Jessica. Jessica sighed dreamily. "You can go jerk off you demon, don't ruin the moment." Back at Starfleet Academy, in dorm 321, Spike and J-35 were hard at work on the mind manipulation device, and having a conversation. "Yeah J-35, I saved the entire Crystal Empire a few times. By myself too. Never underestimate the baby dragon." J-35, who had interfaced with the computer in order to type out what she wanted to say to make conversations with spike easier, typed out a message. 'So if you are the one who saved the empire and not Twilight, does that mean Twilight failed her test?" Spike read the question and shook his head. "Nope. Quite the opposite. Celestia said she preferred somepony who put the survival of an entire civilization ahead of her own success." J-35 tapped out another message. 'Sounds to me like Twilight should've ascended right there. Because if I remember correctly, when she actually ascended, she disappeared for a few minutes in a way that made it look like she died." Spike saw the message and chuckled. "Oh yeah, that would've definitely saved everyone a lot of panic admittedly. Because our friends had believed that they actually killed her." All of a sudden, the screen on the computer displayed a phone symbol and started ringing. Spike looked at who was calling and smiled. "Ooh. It's Sweetie Belle! J-35 could you..." J-35 disconnected herself from the computer and moved out of the way. Spike got in front of the screen and pressed the accept button. The screen lit up to reveal Sweetie Belle. "Spike, hello? Did this thing work?" Spike chuckled. "Yeah, it worked, I can see and hear you. Happy hearts and Hooves Day." Sweetie beamed. "Yes! Ha ha! Now we can chat whenever and actually have a real conversation in real time. Happy Hearts and Hooves Day to you too!" Spike nodded. "So. How've you been Sweetie? How's life in Ponyville?" Sweetie shrugged. "Eh. Same old same old. Monster attack of the week, some foals needed help finding their true talents. Business as usual here. How're things going over there at Starfleet Academy?" Spike smiled. "Going good. Learning a lot of new stuff, working on the device that will defeat Nightmare Moon. Overall it's going good." Sweetie nodded. "Good. How's everyone else doing? Jessica?" Spike sighed. "Everyone's doing good. Jessica staying strong. Though if what happened over Hearths Warming was any indication, her sanity might be starting to dwindle a bit." "Poor Jessica. And the Yule Ball was going so well too. I mean, the legendary magic around the Alicorn Winter Waltz gave her pony ears and wings, sunset called it a pony up? She looked so beautiful and the moment was so magical, Why did that demon have to ruin it for her?" Spike shook his head. "I don't know, but I do know one thing. That demon's gotta go." Sweetie nodded. "Definitely. Before she does something that really digs a inescapable hole for Jessica.” Spike nodded as he heard beeping from behind him. He turned to see J-35 with one of her took extended towards one of the alarm clocks. Spike looked at it and gasped. “Sweet Celestia is it really time?!” He turned back to Sweetie Belle. “Sorry Sweetie. I gotta go. Open Mic night in the mess hall and sunset wants all of us there.” Sweetie giggled. “Because she’s planning on proposing to Starlight today. Hopefully it works out.” Spike nodded. “Yeah. Call you later?” Sweetie nodded. “No school tomorrow so I can stay up as long as I want.” Spike smiled. “Great. See ya later.” The connection cut out and Spike hopped off the seat. Headed for the door. He turned to J-35. “You got the ring?” J-35 pivoted on her legs twice to nod yes. Spike smiled. “Good. Then let’s get going. We can’t let Sunset down.” Spike flapped his wings and took off, J-35 right behind him. To be continued. Author's Note Note 1: my family went on a last minute skiing trip and where we went there was no wifi. So that’s why this episode is late. Note 2: fans of Star Trek DS9 May recognize Sunset and Starlight’s segment as similar to the Vic Fontaine Holosuite program. yes. That is exactly where I got the idea from. //-------------------------------------------------------// Love Is In Bloom Pt 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Love Is In Bloom Pt 3 Spike and J-35 rounded the corner of the building and saw the door to the mess hall. Spike smiled. "Ooh this is exciting. I can't wait to get this party started." J-35 beeped and spun her head around in agreement. She was particularly excited for the role she was playing in the party. Last week, Sunset had come to her asking for her help. She had planned on proposing to Starlight today and she needed to find a spot where the ring would be safe and hidden where Starlight would never find it. The box was small enough so J-35 allowed her to hide the ring within her compartment space. When the time came, J-35 would take the ring out of the compartment and make sure Sunset could grab onto it with her magic unimpeded. J-35 and Spike passed a crossway and right past Sunset and Starlight. Sunset and Starlight called out to them. "Hey spike, J-35!" "You don't need to run. There's such a thing as fashionably late!" Spike and J-35 stopped in their tracks and turned to see Sunset and Starlight catch up to them. "Starlight, Sunset. Hey." J-35 beeped and booped. Spike and Starlight raised an eyebrow. "Anyone speak droid?" Sunset nodded and chuckled. "She asked how our day was. Starlight and I had an awesome day, courtesy of the genius that is my wonderful marefriend." Spike chuckled. "Does this have to do with the secretive plans?" Sunset nodded and turned to starlight. "Can I tell them?" Starlight nodded. "Go for it." Sunset smiled. "Awesome! So, starlight asked me to follow her this morning. She lead us straight to the Holodeck." Sunset explained as the four started walking towards the mess hall. "At first I was confused as to why she brought us there. She said that she had something for me. Turns out, she coordinated with Sci-Twi in the Alternate Universe to make a program of Canterlot City and the gang from across the portal." Spike smiled. "That's awesome." Starlight nodded. "And the best part is that the gang created by the program KNOW they're holograms. Which will make talking to them a lot easier." Spike beamed. "Wow. And here I thought Twilight from across the portal couldn't top the robot dog she made for my counterpart." J-35 beeped into the conversation, confused. Sunset chuckled. "Oh, that's right, you have no idea what We're talking about J-35. Well, to put it simply, there's a another dimension parallel to our own. But, Equestria has become Earth essentially and all the Equine are humans. Well, mostly. As far as we can tell, dragons are dogs over there." J-35 spun her head to look at Spike, as if she couldn't believe what Sunset said. Spike chuckled. "Believe it J-35, I may not look like a dog, but Sunset can prove it." Sunset nodded. "Yeah. Stop by our dorm later and I'll show you a picture from my journal I use to communicate with the other dimension." J-35 beeped yes to that invitation as they entered the mess hall. Inside they found it spruced up for the occasion. Pink and red everywhere, roses on every table, and hearts everywhere you looked. Starlight, Sunset, and Spike chuckled as they immediately recognized the decorating style. "Pinkie pie." "Who else could do all this between lunch and now? And she was in Paris most of the day." "Never underestimate the ultimate party planner." Sunset nodded. "In ANY universe. Anywho, hey Honey, wanna go grab us a table while I get our dinner?" Starlight nodded. "I'll have the—" "Double serving salad with extra rice and no onions. Just the way you like it." Starlight smiled. "You know me so well." Sunset moved in and kissed Starlight on the cheek. "You bet I do." J-35 beeped something before rolling off to the replicator, using one of her utility arms to motion of Sunset to come with her. Starlight arched an eyebrow, but giggled. "Wonder what has her motors all supercharged today." Spike chuckled. "Probably just the day. It's one of those feel good days after all." Sunset nodded. "Yeah. Probably just that. Anyway, Spike, I think I see Jessica and Twilight over there with our friends. Starlight, how about we sit over there?" Starlight nodded. "Alright. Be quick with that salad will you Sunny? I'm starving." Sunset nodded. "I'll be at the table before you can say Valentine." With that, Sunset walked off after J-35. She soon reached her droid friend at the replicator. Sunset chuckled. "If your here then you must want to order something." J-35 beeped and booped. Sunset smiled. "Oil it is then. A can of oil, and two double serving salads, one with extra rice and no unions." The replicator phased in the order and Sunset picked up the can and levitated it down for J-35. "Here you go J-35." J-35 extended her grappling arm and plucked the can out of the air. Beeping a thanks to Sunset in the process. Sunset chuckled. "Anytime J-35. Oh, before I forget, do you have that, ahem, thing, I wanted you to hang on to for me?" J-35 opened up her compartment door and extended an arm with a small black box latched onto it, Sunset smiled. "Great. Thank you SO much for doing this J-35. I owe you big time." J-35 beeped out a no problem before retracting the arm sealing the black box in her compartment. Sunset nodded. "Now, Jessica told me that you had an extensive library of songs loaded into your processor?" J-35 beeped out a yes. Sunset smiled. "Perchance, do you have 'With You' by Ronan Keating? J-35 pivoted on her legs in a nod. Sunset beamed as she leaned in to whisper. "Perfect! When I get to the last verse, that's when you reveal the ring for me to summon with my magic. Got it?" J-35 extended one of her arms and bent it up in a salute. Sunset leaned in and nuzzled J-35 where there would be a cheek. "Thank you J-35. I really do owe you big time." J-35 beeped out in reply. Sunset chuckled. "I can see why Jessica says you're a good friend. Now, lets get over to that table before Starlight gets suspicious." "Suspicious of what?" Sunset jumped back when she heard a voice from behind. She turned to see Pinkie looking at her with a smile that Sunset KNEW meant she knew something. Sunset shook her head. "PINKIE! did you have to sneak up on me like that?!" Pinkie laughed. "I wasn't trying to sneak up on you silly. I just happened to be behind you. Anyway, suspicious of what?" Sunset shook her head. "Not saying anything. You are the LAST pony who I want knowing about my plans right now." Pinkie chuckled. "If you're worried that I told Starlight you were planning on asking her to marry you tonight. She has no clue. Pinkie promise." Sunset's eye twitched. "How did..." Sunset sighed in defeat. "Never mind. I stopped questioning Pinkie Sense as soon as I became friends with the AU Pinkie." Pinkie beamed. "Oh, that reminds me. How did you like Starlight's dimension hopping Holodeck gift to you?" Sunset sighed and turned to J-35. "You go on ahead J-35, tell them I'm talking to Pinkie." J-35 rolled off as Sunset turned back to Pinkie. "Starlight told you about that?" Pinkie shook her head. "Didn't have too. Pinkie Sense." Sunset chuckled. "It's literally impossible to keep secrets from any Pinkie Pie, is it." Pinkie nodded. "Pretty much." Sunset rolled her eyes, but smiled. "It was amazing to see the girls again. I was bummed when they had to cancel over the holidays." Pinkie nodded. "That was too bad. But fear not, Starlight had a plan." Sunset nodded. "That she did. It may not be the real thing, but thanks to the program's self awareness feature, it's as real as it's gonna get this side of the portal. Starlight's made me so happy in our time together, I just hope I can do the same." Pinkie wrapped a foreleg around Sunset. "Don't worry. You're gonna rock it today Sunset. Just promise me one thing." Sunset arched an eyebrow. "What's that?" "I want to plan your wedding. I already got so many ideas for it, like having it here on earth, Rarity already has wedding dress designs—" Sunset cut her off by a hoof to the mouth. "Let's just see how tonight goes. We'll let you know what we decide." Pinkie nodded. "Oki doki Loki. now, replicator, a plate of noodles and two croissants." While the replicator phased in pinkie's order, Sunset took hers and trotted on over to the table where her friends were already sitting, and sharing how their day went. As she got closer, she heard chuckling. "No way. You actually got Sunset a holodeck recreation of Canterlot City?" Starlight nodded. "Yeah. Albeit with the help of Sci-Twi, who had a much better chance of coding together holodeck subroutines than I did." The whole table chuckled except Ivan. "Sci-Twi is Twilight's human counterpart, correct?" Sunset nodded. "That's right Ivan. And, did Starlight tell you that the holograms if they girls are self aware, as in, they KNOW they're holograms?" The whole table gasped. "What?!" "They KNOW they're part of a computer simulation?!" "That's not supposed to happen!" Starlight and Sunset chuckled. "Well, there's really no rule or law saying that you can't create a self aware hologram. Not here." "And certainly not in the Alternate Universe. Thank Celestia for that because otherwise this wouldn't have worked." Luke raised an eyebrow. "Starlight, how exactly did this happen?" Starlight giggled. "Let's just say it's lucky that Sunset didn't read any message addressed to me in her journal. I contact Sci-Twi over the holidays as soon as they canceled on us. I asked if she would be willing to code a program for an Alternate Universe piece of hi-tech equipment. Naturally she practically exploded with excitement and readily agreed to it. I told her the program had to be a virtual representation of Canterlot City with the appropriate amount of activity. Other than that she could go nuts. And go nuts she did when she added the self aware virtual versions of her and the girls." Sunset raised an eyebrow. "You mean that wasn't your idea?" "Sci-Twi said it would mean more to you if you could spend time with them without needing to set travel time aside for them. They know you can't just hop through the portal whenever now." Sunset chuckled. "And that's why she's the smartest of the AU gang. Always thinking of things that no one else knew was needed." Starlight chuckled and nodded. "That she does. And I'm thankful to her for helping me give you the perfect gift." Sunset chuckled. "You didn't have to go to so much trouble. I would've been happy to just spend the day with you." Starlight chuckled. "Yeah, but again, I know how much you miss the gang across the portal so I figured I'd work with them to get this together for you. Besides. It's worth it to see the smile you had on all day. Ooh I wish I had brought a camera." Sunset and Starlight chuckled as a thought hit sunset. 'Well, if everything goes to plan in the next hour or so, you'll be seeing that smile multiplied by a lot more often.' Sunset was getting nervous just thinking about it. She was really going to do it, and this time the demon wouldn't be killing the mood like last time. 'So long as Jessica and Twilight don't try that Alicorn Winter Waltz routine tonight.' Sunset didn't blame them for what happened, there was no way they could've known it would play out like that. But that incident killed the romantic mood and ruined Sunset's plans, until now. The ring was in position, the song was picked out, and Sunset noticed that Jessica was wearing her necklace, the only thing that stopped the demon from projecting herself in any way shape or form. "I wonder how far along the mind manipulator is?" Sunset was about to ask when they all suddenly heard music coming from the stage. T'Nea beamed. "And now starts the dance party." Everyone nodded as they positioned themselves to better see the stage. And the performers. ... ... ... ... About a half hour of love songs and love themed tunes later, it was time for Cosmic Harmony to make their contribution to the entertainment. "Alright CH, lets rock on." Rainbow smiled and nodded. "Aw yeah. Come on Rara, Spike. Let's sing our hearts out." Fluttershy and Applejack arched an eyebrow. "Rainbow?" "Rara?" "What's going on?" Rainbow and Rara chuckled. "Just a little collab with Cosmic Harmony. To celebrate the occasion. "Hope you like it AJ." Spike nodded. "As for me... Jessica, could you maybe..." Jessica understood where Spike was getting at and pulled out her phone. After a little scrolling down, she pressed the button that would connect her phone to the communications station used by Sweetie Belle. While everyone else started for the stage, Jessica and Spike stayed back to make sure Sweetie answered, which she did in a few seconds as the screen blipped on to show the white unicorn. "Sweetie Belle, Hi. How're you?" Sweetie smiled. "Hey Jessica. I'm good. You?" "Never better. Hey, Spike wanted me to call." Jessica passed the phone off to Spike, who took it and smiled. "Hey sweetie. How's it going?" Sweetie chuckled. "Good. Are you guys still at the party?" Spike nodded. "Yeah. But I've been working on something that I want you to see. Heading up to the stage now actually." Sweetie grinned. "You're going to sing for me?" Spike nodded. "Yeah. Just let me set you up to the right viewing angle." Spike turned to Jessica. "How do you..." Jessica chuckled and reached behind her phone's case to flip out the stand. She set the phone down in the direction of the stage. "There. Can you see the stage alright Sweetie?" Sweetie nodded. "Yeah. I can see the stage. Break a leg Spike." Spike nodded as he and Jessica made their way to the stage. Rarity took the opportunity and scooted in front of the phone. "Hello dear sister. How have you been?" Sweetie chuckled. "I've been good Rarity. Hearts and Hooves day was good for me. What about you and Pinkie?" "Oh it was fantastic. You'll never believe where she took me. Oh it was so romantic." Sweetie chuckled. "Paris, France. The most romantic city on earth." Rarity's mourn dropped. "How could you possibly know that?" "Pinkie told Spike and Spike told me." Rarity shot pinkie a look. "Way to ruin the reaction I wanted to get from Sweetie Belle." Sweetie chuckled. "Don't worry. I'm still jealous. I've always wanted Spike to take me to Prance. But you and Twilight said that we were too young to go on our own." "You are." Rarity deadpanned. "Dragons age differently, and you are still a filly, perhaps when you are both older." Sweetie rolled her eyes. "Fine. Just shoot the love train off the rails why don't you." Rarity chuckled. "Just doing my job as your big sister." She heard the tapping of a microphone and lit up. "Ooh. They're starting!" She scooted out of Sweetie's sight so she could see the stage. "Alright folks. Everyone having a good day?" Luke was met with a lot of cheering. Jessica chuckled. "Good. Now, some very good friends of ours asked us if we could do musical accompaniment to their special Valentine's Day performance to their special someponies. And we figured, why not? So here are your singers, Rainbow Dash, Rara, and Spike! Ivan, go!" https://img.youtube.com/vi/EVaLBpUovTE/mqdefault.jpg The song came to an end and the crowd was going wild, clapping and cheering. Applejack and Fluttershy were smiling like dorks, and Sweetie Belle was cheering. They watched as Cosmic Harmony, Rainbow, Rara, and Spike took a bow and get off the stage. Though Rara stayed on it. Fluttershy jumped onto Rainbow as soon as she returned to the table and gave her a big and passionate kiss. "That was amazing! I had no idea you could sing like that!" Rainbow chuckled. "I guess you bring out many hidden talents. Also, AJ, Rara will be along after she helps Sunset out." Applejack and Starlight raised an eyebrow. "She's helping Sunset out?" Starlight looked to where Sunset was sitting, only to find the space empty. "What the, how did she slip away?" While Starlight was confused, Sweetie and Spike were having their own conversation. "Spike That was amazing! Ooh I wish I was there in person." Spike nodded. "Thank goodness for interstellar communication technology. Hey Jessica, is is ok if I step out with your phone so I can talk to Sweetie in private?" Jessica nodded. "Just don't kiss the screen. And watch the battery level. Last I checked it was at 50% and video calls tend to be power hungry." Spike nodded and took off with Jessica's phone. Back over to starlight, she was trying to find out what Sunset was planning. "Does anypony know what Sunset's up to?" Rarity giggled. "Oh, you'll find out soon enough darling." Over on the stage. Sunset took a deep breath. 'This is it.' Giving a light nod to Rara, who nodded back from the piano, she stepped up to the mic and cleared her throat. "Hey everyone. I'm, Sunset Shimmer, and I've been thinking about doing this for a while. A year an a half a go, I fell for the most beautiful mare in the world. And she's made me happier than ever in my life. Starlight, thank you for all the memories, and I hope that I can return the favor right now. Would you step forward please?" Starlight, only imagining what was happening, got up out of her seat and walked up to a few meters from the stage. Sunset continued. "Starlight, there's something I've been meaning to ask you, and after some debate, this is how I'm gonna do it. Rara." Rara nodded and starting playing. https://img.youtube.com/vi/13SeWZlZCuU/mqdefault.jpg (Imagine a girl singing and replace hand with hoof and man with mare, otherwise same song) As the song reached its final verse, J-35 opened her compartment and extended the small black box, sunset, who had gotten of the stage to stand directly in front of Starlight by that point, lit her horn and used her magic to summon the box. The instant Starlight lay eyes on the box, her brain connected all the dots and realized what was going on, as did everyone else who had two functioning brain cells. All starlight could do was cover her mouth with her hooves and let the tears flow. The song eased out and Sunset looked into Starlight's tear filled eyes lovingly. "Starlight glimmer—" she opened the box to reveal a silver ring with a gem on it. The gem was carved in a way where Sunset's cutie mark was one half, and Starlight's was the other. The perfect merger. "—will you marry me?" Starlight was in total shock. This was the last thing she expected Sunset to do today, because she didn't notice any signs that it was coming. All the same, Starlight's heart was beating faster than ever with joy. She answered Sunset in the only way she could. The only way she ever wanted. "YES!!" She tackled Sunset to the ground in a bone crushing hug and pulled her into a passionate kiss. The cheers and applause of their peers around them fell on death ears. Over at their table the gang was smiling as they cheered. T'Nea actually had a tear of her own in her eye. "My god that was so romantic." Luke chuckled. "Yeah. And who knew Sunset had such a beautiful voice all on her own." Twilight chuckled. "She really does." Jessica nodded. "I agree. Also, J-35?" J-35 swerved her head around to look at Jessica. She let out a questioning beep. Jessica smiled and raised her hand out. "Up top. You are awesome." J-35 beeped happily as she extended one of her arm attachments and high-fived Jessica. Back to where the newly engaged couple was finally getting off the ground. Sunset took the ring out of the box and carefully slid it onto Starlight's horn. Once the ring was in place, Starlight grabbed her in her forelegs in another hug, crying tears of joy. "This is the best day of my life. Thank you Sunset." Sunset smiled as she returned the hug. "Anytime hon. Anytime." They stayed that way for a good minute, not even caring that the cheering had died down and people were starting to return to their own conversations. The world could've frozen over, and they wouldn't have cared. All that mattered in that moment was that they had each other. And they both knew it would stay that way forever. ................ ‘Dear AU Gang, Whoever has the journal right now, make sure the others see this because this is a message for all of you. How was everyone’s Valentine’s Day? Mine and Starlight’s was fantastic. Thank you girls so much for helping her with that VR program. I had an absolute blast, but holograms can never replace the real thing. Hopefully I can set some time aside to come and visit. I miss you guys. Oh, and guess what? Guess who is now engaged and set to be married in the future? That’s right. Starlight said yes! Pinkie, since I know you’re gonna want to, we’d really like it if you would help the Equestrian Pinkie Pie plan our wedding, which you are all invited to of course. Anywho, I’m exhausted so I’m gonna wrap this up. Hopefully you are all doing well and I hope to see you something soon. Love, Sunset Shimmer. Author's Note And DONE. Let me know how I did with the proposal. It’s the first time I’ve gone this elaborate with it. Remember that this story will be added to the main story once in Universe it reaches this point. Hope you all enjoyed this and now we’re back to the main story.
