It's the late medieval period: The Prince Electorates of the Holy Roman Empire are coming into their own, the Hanseatic Legue is building, and cities have formed. Guilds have been established, feuds continued, monarchies tumbled, and ponies plagued! Somewhere within all this, in the Duchy of Belle, an Equestrian society is percolating into the ecclesiastic and economic sects of German feudalism. Oh by the way, did you know that Alchemy is a thing now?

On the outskirts of the The Duchy of Belle, Full Lance is engaging in the simple life: managing his land, serving his military dues, raising a squire and getting roped back into the complicated net of knighthood.

This fic aims to be a ponified Alt History/Historical Fiction, revolving around the stunningly daunting late-medieval period. It has a lot of anachronisms, but they're integrated and fleshed out within the historical context as kind of a "what if" scenario.
