Her laughter makes her
Choirs of songbirds sound like
A bad coughing fit.
She is beauty and
Kindness in one, a perfect
Creature in all ways.

I should quit while I’m ahead.

Her mouth is open,
Her eyes wide with amazement.
She won’t speak yet.
Rather than answer,
She walks over and then flies
To be near my face.
I can’t read her face.
Then she nuzzles me sweetly.
“I hoped you would ask.”
She smiles sweetly.
Gods, the sunlight in her mane
Lights the whole room up.
What could I have done
To deserve such happiness
From the mare I love?
My heart beats so fast
I can barely hear my thoughts.
“Thank you, my angel.”
Her lips draw closer
To mine, meeting perfectly.
My first ever kiss!
Fireworks go off,
Making me jump in surprise.
Magic can be strange.
It’s not unpleasant
For my magic to surprise
Me in a new way.
We part, wanting more.
We might take things slow for now.
But she loves me back.
She smiles glowingly.
“Do you want to spend tomorrow

I quickly nod yes.

I should shout from the rooftops,
