I wanted to post something on here but the two projects I'm working on probably won't come out until next year at best so I guess we have this to share.
This will be a series of one-shots following the same plot, though not necessarily in a chronological timeline. I rated this as Teen mainly because I don't have anything explicit currently but that might and probably will change.
Context & Disclaimer(?): The characters' ages here are 18 but in other one-shots, they might be 17 (or younger if we're talking about when Everfree happened in this timeline). They're also humanised (meaning they have natural skin tones) although all of EqG's incidents have occured. And there is no cheating involved, if the canon ship contradicts with the plot of this story lol.
Consider Lullaby as a prologue(?) or an introduction to the what's next in the long description. The rest of the one-shots explain the previous events leading to this as well as aftermath (they will be specified above in the author's notes of those one-shots too.)

There might be some mistakes in this one-shot and I've tried to edit it as best as I can! My writing may seem very informal to some and that's kind of the point lmao. If there are any grammatical errors, let me know nicely!

1. Lullaby
Flash can’t fucking sleep.
A groan sits at the back of his throat as he straightens his back, his fingers moving up to rub his eyes. Of course he can’t sleep, there’s no way anyone can with that ruckus outside.
He loves the girls, he really does, and he’s pretty sure most people at CHS do too. But he can clearly hear Pinkie’s sweets explode every five seconds and that sound has grown particularly annoying. There’s the light chime and sparkle of Twilight’s telekinesis ringing in his head and then there’s the zoom that comes from Dash sprinting three-hundred miles per hour. On the bright side (to whatever extent), at least AJ hasn’t been smashing anything for the past six hours.
The sound of wood snapping and the ground shaking from a crash interrupts his thoughts.
Never mind.
He would’ve gone out to help if Principal Celestia wasn’t so insistent on keeping everyone inside. Situations like this have occurred before and has she taken the responsibility to keep everyone safe? No.
And especially after the incident with Micro Chips’ invention – he still has no idea what the fuck happened and Twilight won’t tell him anything – he doesn’t doubt that he can help somehow.
But now that he’s trying to adjust to the dim light of CHS’ foyer, it reminds him that he’s gotten five hours of sleep max daily for the past month. Ever since traffic rose in his area, he’s been getting up at four in the fucking morning to get his ass in the shower, dressed and then out the door. (Yes, without breakfast).
Simply speaking, if Flash were to break down the doors and go out into that chaos, he’d be no help and might as well get himself injured.
His Dad will castrate him if he returns home with cuts and bruises the next day, let’s be real.
During school he can hardly keep his eyes open, although it doesn’t look that way to his peers. So in this type of situation where the girls are fighting against the evil forces of the pony dimension, he’d make a fucking mess of the place. Cranky Flash Sentry can definitely get in the way of his desire to help out and sometimes he’s pretty thankful for that.
Flash tried sleeping by leaning against the wall, but that causes a sore sting to settle at the back of his neck. And now that Flash’s awake, he has to deal with that. He would sleep on the floor if there were enough sleeping bags—actually, even then he won’t be able to sleep.
People might say he’s so used to upper class life that sleeping on the floor seems like blasphemy to him. Well, they aren’t wrong.
His eyes try to adjust to the low light, his sight still blurry but he can make out a few things. Like his peers – he’s surprised all of them managed to sleep with that noise outside. He’s not sure what time it is but he definitely knows it’s past midnight. Or somewhere along those lines.
It’s when he rubs his hands together absentmindedly when he realises how fucking cold it is, he can barely feel his hands. His palm and backhand are almost the same colour and they’re freezing to the touch. He holds them together, blowing between a small gap he makes with them before shoving them into his coat pockets.
His jeans are barely keeping his legs warm and his black jacket isn’t even zipped up – okay, but in his defence he can’t really zip up his coat when he’s wearing a plain baby blue jumper with a long sleeve shirt underneath. And the coat is meant to be unzipped, it’s fashion.
The second he sees the bright light from his phone, he really wants to groan aloud. But he won’t because he doesn’t want to wake the others up. Flash really just wants to go to sleep but he can’t, so he doesn’t know what else to do. Once he gets used to the brightness, he glances at the time. It’s seven past twelve in the fucking morning – yay him.
The person he sees when he looks up is Timber Spruce. He’s not sure why he decided to look over there. Maybe it’s the glitter of golden light on the trophies behind him, or the fact that Timber has a pillow and Flash does not.
It’s whatever though, because he’s staring at him now and Timber looks so cute sleeping. Even if the position is awkward as fuck and he’s not sure how the hell Timber managed to fall asleep like that. Flash wants to move up to him and flick away the strands of dark green hair falling on his forehead. And possibly more domestic things they already do as best friends and don’t find weird when they’re in the moment.
Timber scrunches his nose and squeezes his eyes, startling Flash in the process. It might be because of the light coming from his phone and Flash isn’t that far away from Timber. But that’s not all, because Timber tries to turn in his sleep, and then fully moves awake, as if he never slept in the first place.
Flash realises how long he had been ogling him for so he unlocks his phone, hurrying to chrome in a speed he’s sure Rainbow can barely match up to.
So, Timber wasn’t sleeping to begin with. Great. Wonderful. Timber probably knows he was staring not too long ago and is going to never let Flash live it down. Well, that is unless he puts the pieces together that something else is going on.
Flash is scrolling through an online book (aka a BTS fic) on AO3 as he hears light shuffling. He’s read this fic before and it’s a really good one so he feels really bad for just skimming through it. But when the shuffling gets louder and closer, he can’t help but panic a little.
And just as he changes his position to crossing his legs, a pillow lands on his legs.
It covers the entirety of his lap and he moves his arms out the way, looking down at it like it’s cursed. He turns to his right and sees Timber crawling towards him like a baby and he wishes he has the words to describe how fucking adorable it is. Timber looks tired, his doe eyes slightly wide, eyebrows raised and lips formed in a pout. Do not ask why he focuses on that latter detail.
“Oh hello,” Flash says, phone still in his hand.
“Hiya.” Timber sits back on his shins, one hand shyly, or coyly actually, slipping between his thighs as the other hand rubs the back of his neck, fingers finding his silver helixes and earrings and then fiddling with them.
“What’s wrong?”
“Can’t sleep.” His voice is soft, low but at the same time a little whiny.
“Oh.” Flash pauses. He doesn’t know where to go from here ( – yes, he’s ignoring the pillow on his lap that’s giving him a pretty good hint as to what Timber wants.) “So what do you want me to do?”
“Help me sleep.”
“And how do you suppose I do that?”
“I don’t know but I can’t sleep.” Timber turns over and lies down, his head and shoulders resting on the pillow.
Flash is quiet for a minute, and Timber is probably assuming he wants him to get off his lap—which is not what Flash wants by the way. He’s just trying to take this all in – Timber needs his sleep and can’t drift off alone so he crawled his way to his BFF pouting, placed a pillow in his lap and laid his head right in the centre of it.
And he kind of wants Timber to stop looking up at him like he wants to devour Flash. But he’s sure Timber’s not looking at him like that on purpose. Flash might be imagining it for all he knows.
Timber seems to notice Flash’s obnoxious gawking so he says, “I know I’m a catch but I need an answer, Flashie.”
There’s the Timber Spruce he knows.
“Help me sleeeeep.” Timber lifts his head and slams it down against the pillow. Oh for fucks sake, he’s such a kid. “I’m gonna throw a tantrum if you don’t.”
Flash chooses to say nothing, leaning back against the wall and switching on his phone again.
He feels a tug at the zip of his jacket. It’s not harsh the first time round but the second, Timber pulls it as if he wants it off Flash.
“Flash. Flashie. Flash Eros Dreamcatcher Sentry,” Timber says, one tug every time he calls out one different name (four times for Flash’s full name). As soon as he realises the pulling isn’t helping him at all, Timber crosses his arms over his broad chest—for fuck’s sake, the baby is still pouting. Flash does not know why he has a soft spot for him because he cannot bring himself to say anything mean to him. “Bud. Bro. Soulmate. Sunset’s ex. Oi, dude. Dadd—”
“Will you shut up?”
“No.” He has the audacity to shake his head cutely. Even the refusal is in that whiny voice.
“Well, you have to if you wanna sleep. Or unless you’re continuing that habit of sleep talking you have.”
Timber’s brows furrow in and he pulls the corner of his mouth into his cheek. “Dickhead.”
“Cunt.”
“That’s technically incorrect.” He points at Flash. And using his pointing hand, he reaches for Flash’s phone and his thumb presses on the switch off button. “I have a dick, as you know. Should’ve just called me dickhead.” Timber thinks about pointing his finger to his crotch to spite Flash but instead just lets his hand fall against his stomach.
“What—you think with your dick or something?”
Timber raises one eyebrow and proceeds to smirk at Flash. If the situation was different, Flash would’ve kissed that smug smile right off his mouth.
Nevertheless, Flash jabs his middle finger into Timber’s chest and the younger flinches and hisses. The baby’s mad now, massaging the spot with the heel of his palm.
“You’re sadistic,” he huffs.
“I know.”
Timber wriggles around a bit, changing the position of his legs so his knees are up. “Okay, I’m being serious – help me sleep.”
“And I’m being serious – I don't know what you want me to do,” Flash says.
Timber pauses, licking his lips. He clicks his fingers when he’s thought of something. “Sing me a lullaby or something.”
Flash sputters, eyes growing a little wide. “Um, a lullaby?”
“Yeah! The girls told me you had a good voice ‘n I wanna hear it.”
That makes Flash’s heart do a thing. And Timber just looks so adorable looking up at Flash in his lap, with big eyes, messy hair, and pouty lips so Flash doesn’t have the guts in him to say no.
So he says, “A-all right.” He thinks of a song on the top of his head that he knows. As he recalls the song, he clears his throat and starts.

It’s a sad one, and Flash’s voice is very breathy. Timber knows it’s so his peers don’t wake up to this scene. But he doesn’t want to complain because Flash’s voice right now is lullaby level and he’s lowkey (highkey) fallen in love with it already.
Flash’s left hand unconsciously finds its way to Timber’s fluffy dark green hair and his fingers thread through the short locks. Timber closes his eyes and can’t help but like the way his hand feels running through his hair, so he lazily leans into his touch. Just a little, hopeful that Flash doesn't notice.
But he knows Flash, so he probably has noticed.
You’re hurting ‘cause you’re mine. I just wanna blow your mind.
Just like that, you keep drifting further from my reach.
Flash’s other hand dangles over Timber’s chest, and it shifts a little when Timber turns to his side. He’s now facing Flash’s body and his warmth radiates right onto him. Timber gladly snuggles up to him, mumbling something under his words that he’s too tired to think about. Timber likes Flash’s hand on his chest, it makes that part of him heat up as well. It’s sort of there though, unmoving, unlike the hand in his hair is.
He notices Flash’s voice hitch when Timber sighs and takes Flash’s right hand into his, loosely holding it above his stomach. He knows Flash can feel his abs under his knuckles and that’s what he wants. Flash knows they exist (perhaps has thought about them less than Timber’s thought about Flash’s) and he’s not Timber fucking Spruce if he doesn’t want Flash to notice him.

Flash is looking around the foyer when Timber’s eyes finally close. He’s never sang a lullaby for anyone, mainly because he’s never been like this with anyone before.
There’s thunder outside now, the noise trying to interrupt the song. The foyer is a shade of greyish purple and a tinge of light yellow shines from between the crack of the main doors. The girls don’t seem to be physically fighting anymore as it’s just a storm outside. They’re probably in the rain, Sunset trying to empathise with whoever caused this mess. He can’t find himself to care about that – sorry girls, he’s got a best friend to help fall asleep.
I want you to be your light, baby. You should be your light.
So that you’re not hurt anymore. So that you can smile some more.
Flash and Timber reached this level called best bros that sleep over at each other’s houses and in the same beds. He knows for most male friendships, that level doesn’t exist and it normally stops at we give each other hugs that has to include a slap on the back. These two are way past that and it’d probably be okay if Flash didn’t want it to go further. But he did.
He struggles not to glance at the sleeping boy in his lap (his motherfucking lap, he only now just realises) but he can't help it when Timber looks like that. And he’s just sleeping, a really innocent task that any human can do, and wants to do 24/7.
(Maybe he has a problem.)
(Yeah, no, he does have a problem.)
Timber shifts under him again, letting out a little whine and Flash notices that he's stopped running his hands through his hair. Timber lets go of Flash’s, sweaty, right to blindly reach the hand in his hair. He moves it a little, indicating that he wants Flash to continue playing with his hair? He doesn’t tell Flash to stop once he starts so Flash assumes that’s what he wanted.
It's the last bit of the song and he looks away from the younger. He knows at this point Timber’s probably asleep by now, so Flash is still singing for himself since he's not sure where to go from here. He keeps his head up and leans against the wall, paying no attention to the ache in his neck.
I want you to promise me, oh-oh, even if you’re lonely, oh-oh, even if it’s everyday, oh-oh, don’t throw yourself away oh-oh.
Pause for a moment now, hook your pinky with mine, and promise me now.
As he sings the last line, he finally looks down. He can feel timber breath calmly against his stomach, and he can’t help but check out his side profile a bit. His hand comes down to slightly cup Timber’s jaw, fingers delightfully caressing the sharpness of it.
It's probably weird for Flash to sing a sad(ish?) lullaby and stare at one of his best friends while he sleeps but for some reason, he doesn't really give a fuck.
“Hey, you managed to sing that without worrying if you’d suck at it.”
His head jerks and he looks up to see Luna leaning against the wall, arms crossed and a tired smirk on her face.
“How do you know that?” Flash asks. awkwardness fills the air and he does not like it when he’s able to notice that Luna isn’t affected by it.
“I may or may not overheard you panicking about it in the music room for a good few weeks.” Her eyebrow lifts. Flash is sure as hell blushing, the speed in which heat rises to his cheeks is inhuman, and just as Luna smiles, he knows she can see it too.
He groans quietly, back straightening against the wall as he turns his head to her. “Aunt Luna, can you, I don’t know, leave?”
“Sure thing, honey,” the woman giggles, thankfully not minding Flash’s cranky snap at his Godaunt. He hears a “sweet dreams, you two,” come from her and that brings a petit smile to Flash’s face.
Timber gently stirs awake.
A ray of light breaks through CHS’ barricaded doors and it lands on Timber’s face. He rubs his eyes, flinching at the sudden light and he realises he’s not facing Flash anymore. He’s sleeping the other way. The pillow is a little wonky on Flash’s lap and he can feel how tense the boy’s knees are from sleeping in that kind of position.
He kind of feels bad for sleeping halfway through Flash’s song. He’s not going to lie, he can stay up all night listening to that voice. But he can also sleep peacefully listening to said voice too.
He sits up, and immediately rubs his hands together. It’s unbearably cold, and the fact he isn’t wearing a jacket and that he’s in a t-shirt doesn’t help at all. Timber has this habit of keeping his hands between his thighs to warm them up, so he does so. He allows himself to freely shiver aloud from the cold, rub his hands together and curl up. When he says it’s cold, it’s downright fucking freezing. How early is it?
Just as he looks back, he sees Flash Sentry. He’s still sleeping, arms crossed by the wrists and swung over the pillow. His head is tilted to Timber’s right just a bit, short blue hair a little scruffy (but not as scruffy as Timber’s) and the open ends of his jacket pulled over his torso, like he’s not bothered to zip it up but he’s deadass too cold to leave it open.
He’s pretty pale too – it’s harder to tell when Flash is a light tan compared to Timber, who is brown – and that alone makes Timber want to cuddle up and warm him up.
But he’s asleep, definitely doesn’t feel the same way Timber feels and he’s not going to make anything awkward between them with the lack of consent. He’s come this far with the Famous Flash Sentry ever since they met at Camp Everfree, he’s not about to go ruin it.
So he’s going to do what he always does (and has done) and use himself as an excuse.
They’ve got the cuddle thing down as best friends already, so he’s not worried about that. Timber considers hugging as a friendship level thing but there are obvious limits. For a long time, Timber assumed Flash was affectionate and snuggly with everyone. It’s not until Fluttershy, one of Flash’s childhood friends, told him that he’s never like that with her – or anyone in fact. And for some reason that makes Timber feel better about it.
He first thinks about crawling next to Flash and lightly shaking him awake to ask him if he can hug him to warm them both up. However, he decides against the first bit. Timber inches forward, sitting on his shins in front of flash.
Okay, so, Timber is full of himself. Yes, he knows that. Gloriosa’s told him, Twilight’s told him and Flash has told him. He thinks and knows he’s pretty good looking guy. Yet that doesn’t mean he can’t compliment – or in this case stare stupidly – at other good looking guys. Flash Sentry is no exception.
Well, others might think he’s exaggerating when he says Flash is literally the prettiest person he’s ever seen. But he knows he’s not. Soft skin, well structured face, high cheekbones, gorgeous cornflower eyes—dimples, he can’t forget about his fucking dimples—and his body is an entirely different topic all together.
He shakes his head, blinking harshly, and he looks around. No one’s awake yet. okay, okay, good. His hand comes up to Flash’s shoulder and he gives him a quick soft shake. It makes Flash’s head dip a little and he shifts.
One more shake and Flash’s waking up. Timber’s quick to catch the deep blue eyes he can say he’s kind of in love with. Is it cliché to say he’s willing to drown in them? Yeah, it is.
“Timber?” Flash’s voice deep in sleep, and possibly a little breathy from last night. Timber’s already imagining that voice the morning after sex and—shiiiiit. “Hi,” Flash breathes out.
“Morning,” Timber tells him.
Flash’s lips break into a tired smile and he soon giggles, rubbing his eyes with his fists. His hands unravel and he hides his face with his palms – it confuses Timber at first but he can’t help but be endeared by him.
“I look ugly when I wake up, don’t look at me.” He says quietly behind his hands and. Fuck. That’s fucking adorable, please.
Timber giggles as well, shuffling forward and reaching for Flash’s hands. He pulls them down and Flash’s grip is surprisingly strong. Timber pauses for a second to confuse Flash, and then his fingers aim for his neck, tickling him. Flash flinches and silently gasps, and the way he smiles can make Timber melt.
“Why not?” Timber whines. The you’re never ugly is there but only Timber can tell.
They go at it for a bit. Flash tries to hit him for attacking him with tickles and it doesn’t bother Timber that much. Mainly because Flash’s laughing.
When they’ve calmed down, Timber realises that he’s partially in Flash’s lap – well, his upper body is. Flash holds his forearms down against his thighs, and Timber looks up at him. He’s definitely sure Flash hasn’t realised what position they’re in, but there’s this bit in him that wishes Flash knows what he’s doing and doesn’t care.
“Hi,” Timber says.
“Hey.” Flash releases his tight grip on Timber’s arms but he doesn’t remove either of their arms. It should be awkward, like, it should be really fucking awkward. But it’s not.
And Timber feels his eyes dance all over Flash’s facial features. Now that he’s up close, he can now say he doesn’t agree with Flash’s statement. Yeah, beauty in the eye of the beholder but jesus christ, everyone has checked out Flash Sentry at least once, it’s impossible to not have.
“You feel warm.” Flash says, and he feels a pair of cold palms on his bare forearms. Timber hums in acknowledgement, but he knows he sounds like he’s thinking about something else. He hasn’t been paying attention to the way his body had grown hotter over the course of being physically closer to Flash – he’s way too distracted by the curve of Flash’s lips. His pretty cupid’s bow, his bottom lip wet from his habit of licking his lips constantly.
He feels the heat of Flash’s gaze on him and the idea that Flash knows/will know where Timber’s specifically staring at makes his cheeks warm up. He has this urge to look up at Flash’s eyes but he can already sense the awkward excuses he has to give.
Flash asks, “what is it?” and yeah, he fucking knows.
“Um…” Timber’s flushing and if it wasn’t awkward for Flash as well, he would be enjoying this scene.
He feels Flash’s legs move under them and it’s a quick shift. Flash uncrosses his legs, sliding them on either side of Timber’s body and oh fuck. Timber’s hands perch on Flash’s honey thighs and he feels himself sit up between Flash’s legs.
He’s really confused about his sudden shift of confidence. Timber’s meant to be the certain one out of the both of them so why does he feel so hot all over? His cheeks are on fire, eyes slightly wide and there’s this fucking urge to move closer. Fuck. He chews on his bottom lip and he swears to god, he catches Flash glance down and then back up.
“Timber, if you wanna kiss me, just say so.”
Timber jolts a little and forces himself to look properly at Flash. “Huh?”
Flash raises the end of his eyebrow, like he’s waiting for something.
Like your fucking consent, dumbass.
It doesn’t take Timber long to realise that and he nods quickly. He fucking swears he sees Flash’s face light up, then there’s a hand sliding up Timber’s chest to the collar of his t-shirt, taking a bit of it into his fist.
And Flash kisses him.
Timber’s brain does something, as if all his random and buzzing thoughts stopped running around the place and vanished. And his heart does another thing, like jumping and screaming a million curses in joy because Flash Sentry is fucking kissing him. He melts into it, left hand finding its way to Flash’s sharp jaw. When they release from their first kiss, a broken moan (or displeased whine) manages to pass through Timber’s throat. Their noses are touching, lips inches away from each other so Timber just pulls Flash back into another one.
With a hand on Flash’s jaw, he lifts Flash’s head up a little, and feels his body press Flash’s against the wall. It’s kiss after kiss, all innocent and normal paced with no biting, no tongue. Okay, well, there’s a tiny bit of tongue. He feels Flash’s hand, the one that pulled him in by his t-shirt, climb his neck and his skin feels so fucking hot. Flash’s fingers reach Timber’s hair and they tangle in his hair, Timber relishes in the light tugs against his scalp.
They pull away for the second time for air, and they’re practically breathing heavily into each other’s mouths. Timber nuzzles his nose into Flash’s cheek, his other hand not knowing where to stay so it places itself by Flash’s waist (which he can feel how dainty it is just through Flash’s black jacket and baby blue sweater). The position is a little uncomfortable for him, sitting between Flash’s legs.
Timber knows what he wants but is he going to voice it out? Fuck no. His hand drop from Flash’s waist to his thigh, near his pelvis, and he taps there blindly. Flash seems to get the message as he chuckles a bit before pulling Timber back by his head.
“Does someone want to sit on my lap?”
It’s not embarrassment that Timber feels, it’s the way Flash says it – it sounds degrading of some sort and he loves it? It’s teasing, the type of flirting even Timber wouldn’t consider, and it makes him heat up.
Timber nods again, an unwanted whine comes out of this mouth and Flash smiles. Or smirks, he doesn’t want to think about it. Flash pulls Timber onto his lap, his legs straddling Flash’s, and heat pools at the pit of his stomach. Flash’s crotch is right against his and it honestly takes Timber so much to not grind down. Flash will most likely tease him about that as well and Timber knows he won’t be able to handle it.
Whilst Timber and Flash have similar body physiques, Timber is noticeably bigger than the latter, two centimetres taller as well. It kind of makes him feel smaller sitting in Flash’s lap but it legit feels so right that he doesn’t give a shit. Because of their little height difference, Timber makes Flash’s head lift a little while they kiss if he straightens his back.
Their bodies are touching and basically on fire. Flash tastes so good, it’s so addictive but good for his health? Why is that even a question, he’s going to get so addicted to Flash that’s it’s going to turn unhealthy. The kisses grow a little messier, Flash starts to moan softly, they tease each other and playfully bite at the other’s bottom lip. This feels more like them, the nervousness and anxiety emptying out of them, leaving warmth and all Timber can think about is Flash, Flash, Flash.
The upstairs lights turn on and both boys jump, moving away from their little, um, session. Timber starts frantically looking around to see if any of the Principals are wandering around – he’s sure they’re going to get somewhat of a scolding for making out in the foyer while everyone was asleep and the thought of it makes him giggle.
“What are you laughing about?” Flash’s thumb brushes a spot under Timber’s ear, making Timber jerk his head to that side.
“Mm, ‘s nothing.” He doesn’t mean to mumble but he can’t help it when his voice sounds like a whisper. “You know, I think I’ve liked you since I saw you at the camp.”
Flash’s eyes go wide, mouth forming an o shape and he can’t describe how fucking adorable the face is. “Since Camp Everfree? Fuck, that feels so long ago.” Flash’s eyes move to the corner, a small smirk of content taking form on his lips but then his expression changes. “Hey, wait, but you were flirting your ass off with Twilight, you liar.”
Timber loves Flash’s frustrated pouty face, he doesn’t get enough of it to be honest. “I mean, I’m pretty sure I realised my feelings for you only recently,” he says. “What ‘bout you?”
Flash lightly laughs as his hands run up and down Timber’s sides. “Aish—I think I’ve liked you for a good while. Did you notice?”
He shakes his head.
“Mm, thought so. I’m better at hiding it than you,” he jokes.
Timber wants to retort to that but he knows Flash’s right. It’s a habit of his to show someone if he’s interested in them, regardless if he wants to hide it or not. Flash runs his right hand through Timber’s hair and he leans into the touch.
“Do you think they’ll let us skip school today?” Flash asks.
Timber shrugs. “I hope so. My head fucking hurts.” He runs a hand through his hair – a habit that he actually picked up from Flash – and massages his head a bit.
“We’re going to my house immediately and straight to bed.” Timber’s love for Flash taking control (and babying him) is definitely going to grow unhealthy.
He recalls what Flash just said, specifically back to the bed bit. He knows Flash doesn't mean it like that but what's life without a bit of cheekiness? He wiggles his brow and Flash knows exactly what he’s suggesting, leading to a smack to his waist.
“No, we’re not doing that,” Flash says slowly, his tone scolding but ultimately playful.
Timber laughs. There’s that cold breeze again, though it doesn’t come from the main doors, which aren’t open yet. He remembers what he was going to do before they got too in the moment and he snuggles up against Flash, head resting under Flash’s jaw. It startles Flash for a second but he still wraps his arms around Timber’s middle.
“Well, if we’re going to sleep, are you gonna sing me a lullaby again?” he lifts his head up and cocks it cutely.
Flash jolts a little from Timber’s hair tickling his neck but he feels the tension wash away seconds after. “Maybe. If you’re not a bratty baby about it.”
