Loving the Enemy (T Version)by Shadic Midnight BlitzerChaptersImpact - PrologueImpact - AftermathImpact - MidnightImpact - RivalImpact - IntermissionImpact - Log 1Impact - PrologueAuthor's Note As you may had noticed, the original story had been deleted and this is now it's newer version. The reason I deleted it was of various factors, but mainly because I always had a chapter in advanced which really screwed me up, I was unsure if it were to be anthro or pony, and problems with deciding if it actually should be T or M or not. So here's some changes. Impact - Prologue and Impact - Aftermath will be posted at the same time since they go more better together than seperated. The chapters I'm having right now will be posted at a later date. The story will be changed to M not only because it would allow a bigger group to watch but because I feel like any M scene would appear way too later into the story so in that case I would rather create a M Story version for that where it contains those scenes I decided to settle in on Anthropomorphic Ponies instead of Equestrian Ponies. No do not confuse with Equestrian Girls. All these three are different. It makes the writing way more easier that way. This means that there'll be some changes in the text though some might slip by. I'm also sooner or later (from the point I'm writing this which is on 2/16/2020) draw the cover for this story. Don't know how long it'll take. I'm still wondering if OCs should be allowed into this story as it would help me in not having to create new ones from scratch or having similar OCs with just different color schematics. They'll most likely be placed as soldiers, and they'll probably die which is why I'm uncertain as I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings with seeing their OC die and just say 'because'. But then yet again I could try to make it as memorable so maybe a few main OCs, which could either live or die memorable. Then maybe secondary who just have a scene or two. It's still in the making of whether I should do such thing. Which is why I say, I need followers and likes so that this story can become rather interesting. Sharing is Caring for me in this context and comments and reviews are acceptable. Every time someone does this is good and makes me feel happy. Anyways I'm going to begin this story and make sure that it's acceptable for all of you. Impact - Prologue A single jet hovers over the light-filled city called Manehatten. Even though a message that warned of destruction of the city, many simply did not pay attention when only one single plane appeared over Manehatten's skies. What could one plane do? Sure it was many generations ahead of their own planes, but the Equestrians were confident that their magical shield, powered by something unseen to the likes of many before, could repel anything that was dropped on them. This thing, that was part of a project to generate electricity to improve Equestria's quality of life many years before the war, now was part of the project to create a weapon that they hope could destroy their enemy: The Lunar Republic A thousand years ago when the Lunar Republic was born, it had been formed under the Princess of the Night, Princess Luna, younger sister of the Solar Princess. War though broke out between the Republic and the Empire due to many racial discrimination. The Lunars were known as 'nighttime' ponies or 'nightmares', having a population of thestrals, necromancers, and vamponies, along with many of those that Equestria deemed as the enemy like changelings and umbrums. Essentially the Lunars became everything that the Equestrians feared and hated, and after many raids on these Lunar towns, the Republic was forced to escape to the moon to save it's citizens from being slaughtered. With Equestria declaring itself as the victor, having repelled the beasts of the night, Equestria began to rewrite history as they would seem fit to glorify both themselves and the Solar Princess, Princess Celestia, who they deemed as their sole and true Queen. Thus the legend of Nightmare Moon was born, a evil sister who's jealousy grew to the point where she engaged war with Equestria, and Celestia was forced to banish her and her kind to the moon. And soon this lie would bite them in the future once the Lunars returned. During this long era, the Lunars had to cope with having few unicorn allies and having to start literally on a barren world, one that was unlike their own. The gravity would've weakened their bones to complete degradation, the air was basically non-existent, and with no atmosphere it was expected that they would die out in only the first century. Thus the Lunars diverted their attention to technology, which drastically would affect their development. With the materials on the moon, the Lunars quickly began to skyrocket in technology, magnifying the magical domes that Luna had created in the beginning and increasing the gravity to make sure that their next generations could prosper. They turned the soil fertile and as their dome expanded, they developed ways of transportation, and ultimately more and more domes, each designated for a specific contribution of their nation. They would mine comets from space for water and other materials to keep them alive, and for a time all seemed well. But most importantly, they knew, that sooner or later, they would have to go back home, back to Equestria in case there was a water shortage. There was a chance though, that war could break out. When that day finally came, one thousand years later, the Lunars planted bases in the Unexplored West and in the Cold North, ideal places where they could collect drinkable water for their population. They would send delegates to all the nations of the world, asking for basic civil relationships to prevent any wars between themselves. And for a time, things went good. The Lunars and Equestrians at first seemed to get along, but soon their ancient grudges began to reappear, especially though Prince Blueblood who would criticize the Lunars and place the minds of the citizens against the Lunars. When Princess Luna found out that not only did the Equestrians paint lies about them, and that her own sister did nothing to stop this from happening, their relationship broke down. It would only take one move to bring these two countries at war. During this time, the Equestrians had the opportunity to research Lunar technology and to buy some from many Lunar sellers who were interested in either making themselves wealthy, or helping Equestria prosper and to repair their strained relationships. This though would be used to speed up their own research, with Prince Blueblood secretly giving it the go to do so and to prepare their own military for war with the Lunars, all who were increasingly becoming aware of what could be happening. And without any consent from Princess Celestia, and without any warning, a force of 1 Million Equestrians stormed many Lunar bases across the world, killing as many as they could, with the initial death toll nearing the thousands. It was too late to back down. War had begun. Within the first days of this hostile advance, around a million Lunars, armed to the teeth arrived on the outer outposts of the nation. Princess Celestia seeing the impending number of deaths that would come, pleaded Luna to halt this counter attack, but Luna would then argue that since Celestia did nothing in the first war, and that no matter how many times Luna had asked Celestia to stop believing that the two nations could simply make peace together and do something, only for the Solar Princess to not pay attention, now the Lunar Princess would do nothing and would not stop her own people from getting their vengeance. The blood that fell from their ancestors, and the blood that was just spilled on the ground just days ago, needed to be repaid, and so now the Lunars will do so. Clashing in the Cold North, the Lunars showed unimaginable and astonishing signs of victory battle after battle, with many battle tactics that were unseen before. The Equestrians were in no shape for war, even with the first few years of preparations, compared to the Lunars, who were preparing for nearly all the time since their banishment. With Equestria, Saddle Arabia, and the Dragon Lands on one side, the Lunars, Changelings, and Zebras were on the other side. Eventually the Equestrians were able to finally deploy enough men and enough equipment to counter the Lunars, but even with their 10 to 1 advantage, the Lunars showed no signs of stopping. Eventually, the Lunars were able to reach the Equestrian borders, though now both sides had been stuck in a stalemate. With now the sufficient technology and with the combined force of a billion, the Equestrians were able to halt the Lunar advance temporarily, who were now deciding how to carry this war out. From there the siren warnings were implemented. Devices that would come before the Lunars ever showed up, usually a day before, to warn the Equestrians of destruction that would appear. Usually these came with a message asking the Equestrians to surrender and to halt their hostilities, but many times only a few out of a thousand would surrender, and as time passed on these numbers began to dwindle as the commanders began to punish those who tried to escape. The Lunars would thus commence on operation at just the worst time possible: Operation Eclipse. With the Equestrians relying heavily on Solar energy to power their machines through day and night, since it would be impossible to manage all of their machinery through just coal and fuel alone, the Lunars invented bombs that carried nanobots, that would get caught in the wind from their planes and create a black smoke, designed to block the sun's rays from reaching the ground. Over a thousand of planes would participate in the operation, with many acting as scouts to locate enemy activity and escort planes to protect the bombers that were designed for this mission from not getting destroyed. Even though nearly all the escort and scout planes would return safely home, by the end of the day however, only a few out of the many bomber planes designed solely from this mission would ever come back. Each bomber plane was specifically located and destroyed during the many thousands of miles that had to be crossed through Equestria. And while the Lunars would be able to recover these loses and give Equestria ten for every bomber, it was a lost that was not to be unaccounted for. What made Operation: Eclipse screw over the Lunars though would be the disappearance of Princess Celestia. Nopony knew how and why she along with Princess Cadence disappeared all of a sudden. But what was clear though was that now Prince Blueblood was in charge. With no hesitation Blueblood blamed their disappearance on the Lunars, saying that they imprisoned them and are currently torturing them, preventing Celestia from raising the sun. And with everyone loving Princess Celestia, and with no real evidence to prove the contrary, there was no real voice to say otherwise, and soon Equestria would bring all of it's populace into full contribution against the Lunars in absolute rage From then, the estimated casualty rate of a few million was recalculated to be by the end of the war in the hundreds of millions. And sadly, the plane was estimated to bring that estimated rate to a even higher number. Like always, high altitude messenger bombers began to drop small devices everywhere across Equestria. These planes flew so high that they were basically untouchable by Equestrian planes, so there was nothing to stop them from delivering these messages. Of course these planes would've been helpful during Operation: Eclipse but there was really not much time to wait. As the orbs became to come near the ground, they began to slow down and open up large holographic texts, hovering over the ground. Many Equestrians looked at these devices with hatred, knowing that they usually brought terrible news for them, and the loud siren sounds were as one pony said 'So fucking annoying I almost want to surrender just because of these noises'. And they were piratically indestructible so they couldn't really destroy it. Finally the orb began to play a voice message as texts appeared. "Greetings citizens of Equestria. From the time since our first message, we've brought warning after warning. And even after disaster after disaster had come to your nation, you've paid no heed. For such, we will not back down anymore. Don't think you can fool us with your lies anymore! We've been observing your movements. We're aware that you've been developing a weapon of mass destruction in order to destroy our forces in the city of Manehatten, a prosperous urban site that would force many to reconsider attacking due to the amount of civilian casualties. But if you are all so keen in calling us monsters... and if you're so keen on learning the powers of what you're trying to create, we'll show you a little demonstration." In the small town of Ponyvile, a young mare, with orange fur and blonde hair, looked at the device in fright, along with many other residents of Ponyville that were watching the 'news' from the Lunars. Over the course of the war, the Apple Family were forced to relocate their position to Manehatten after a bombing raid on the town of Ponyville to show the Equestrians that they could reach Canterlot if they wanted to, given the close proximity between the two places. Unfortunately not all of them could go together. Granny Smith was too old. Those conscripted in the army were designated to go to Manehatten, and the young ones were forced to also leave with the rest. The only one who stayed and would take care of the farm was Applejack. This separation tore their hearts, but both knew that Manehatten was probably one of the most safest spots that existed. Well... used to exist, as the Lunars with this message are now claiming that they could strike Manehatten with a weapon of mass destruction. This frightened and tore Applejack's heart more. So all of this pain of moving away to Manehatten was worth nothing? That either ways her family was in danger no matter where they were? And they were even more so in Manehatten than if they had stayed in Ponyville?! "We will give you one hour to evacuate your citizens and your military personnel to a specific location, a safe house for this time period. Right now as we speak, a location where Equestrians can evacuate to is being formulated." The text said, before a map of Equestria was formed, both showing city locations and the progress of the Lunar Invasion, with the Lunars close to breaking Equestrian front lines and diving deep into their own territory. Flashes of blue lights flashed across the screen as the randomizer was being used, until it landed straight to Ponyville. For a moment Applejack was relieved. She was going to meet her family once again! She was going to be able to hug her family once more! They would just shrug off that terrifying experience and place it behind themselves, cause it didn't matter anymore! They would be together. Sure the members of the family that were part of the army would eventually have to be deployed, but in that short time period, they would be safe together. "We will offer some cargo planes to be used for the massive transportation of Manehatten's populace, or you could use your own equipment for the task. Either ways I wish that by the end of the hour you would have liberated your civilians and soldiers from meeting a terrible fate." The text message said before blinking out of existence. Applejack still smiled, but deep inside, she was worried. She was worried that perhaps the command in Manehatten would shrug off the threat, or they would think it's a trick since the Lunars offered their own planes for the evacuation. What type of enemy does that except those that want to trick them. Still though Applejack had high hopes that she could meet her family really soon, especially since both Equestrian and Lunar planes could travel quickly now at these days. 10 minutes passed and there were no aircraft hovering over Ponyville. There were no signs of any ponies being evacuated to Ponyville. Applejack tried to shrug it off. Perhaps they were trying to move all the population at once, or maybe they decided to ignore planes who were ideally faster, and that they were using their slower planes Another 10 minutes passed, and there were still no cargo aircraft appearing. Applejack started to get worried, though she tried to shrug it off. Maybe they were experiencing turbulence, or there were problems with the transportation. With now 45 minutes passing, Applejack started to get extremely nervous. There's no way that they could be taking this long. By this point somepony had to had arrived to Ponyville. But no. They were not. By minutes 50, Applejack finally realized that was going on. They weren't letting anyone leave. By minute 55 a group of citizens in Ponyville had united with Applejack, trying to calm the mare down. "Don't worry Applejack... maybe they are bringing as many planes as once... and maybe they're still loading up ponies!" A butterscotch furred pegasi said. "Exactly! Don't feel so down! We have to prepare the 'Welcome back' party when they arrive!" A pink pony exclaimed, holding many balloons. "Don't you see what's going on girls!?" Applejack suddenly yelled out, stunning the rest with her harsh expression. "They're not going to let anyone out of Manehatten. Nobody is going to leave Manehatten. They probably think that it's just a false threat, or that their military can take out that plane from the sky! They're going to die! Every last one of them!" Applejack yelled. Suddenly the text hologram reactivated itself. "We are aware of what's happening in Manehatten. We have sent carriers to try to evacuate as many as we could, but your leaders refuses to let others who do value their own lives to save themselves. The time of judgment has come for Manehatten. May Faust have pity on all those in Manehatten and it's vicinity, and may those who caused the deaths of millions of innocent citizens be left with a last memory of guilt." The message said, before the holograms closed and fell to the ground, it's energy now terminated. Applejack and the rest stood their stunned. Applejack's fears had been confirmed. They weren't going to let anyone leave Manehatten, which was to be destroyed very soon! They were not going to let anyone live, and her family was going to die! The 60 minutes were nearly now up, in fact, perhaps they were already were! As the time passed 60 and went to 60 minutes and 10 seconds, Applejack and the rest of her friends started to brighten up. Yes! Somehow the Equestrians had knocked out that Lunar plane before it was able to deploy the bomb! "Applejack!" The pink pony said as she hugged the orange pony from the Apple Family. "They're alive! They're going to live!" "Maybe you were right Pinkie Pie! Thank Celestia! Now all I'm going to have to do is to go to Manehatten, see my family, and hug them because they're ali-" The sky was suddenly brightened, as though as if the sun had been brought back. For a moment cheers were heard from some in the group. Perhaps Celestia had been liberated, as those papers say that they were locking on the position of Celestia and planning to recapture her from the 'monsters of the night'. But as they gaze towards the direction of the light, the direction of Manehatten, all hope vanished when they saw what they hoped they didn't see. A massive fireball, many miles in diameter expanded, pushing the dark cloud of the night away. Shock waves traveled faster than the speed of sound, and the very foundation of the earth shook. Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and the few residents of Ponyville that had come to support Applejack, looked in horror as the heat wave hit them, it's effects now greatly diminished, but noticeably increasing the temperature. Their cool bodies were warmed by the heat, but yet those who felt it did not welcome it, especially one orange mare. Applejack cried out loud, screaming in agony, pain and in sorrow. She knew what had happened. She knew it was too early to celebrate By the time she looked again, a massive mushroom cloud covered the distance of Manehatten many times over. Applejack grabbed her communication device that would automatically connect with Big Mac's in case of emergencies or to simply talk with him. "Big Mac! Are you there!? Can you here me!? BIG MAC! APPLE BLOOM! GRANNY SMITH! ANYONE THERE!? PLEASE DON'T BE DEAD DON'T BE DEAD!" Applejack screamed as the only thing that would respond her would be radio silence. "I-i-I'm sorry Applejack..." Pinkie Pie said, her mane now no longer it's puffy style, but now straightly hanging down. Fluttershy wrapped her hooves around Applejack, trying to console the now emotionally broken mare who was sobbing uncontrollably. "It's too late... it's too late... they're dead..." Applejack said, before crying out in agony again, crying the names of her now dead family members. It was one thing to lose her parents, but now she had lost her grand mother, her brother, her younger sister, and all the rest of her siblings in a flash of light. It was all over. Far away in the outskirts of Manehatten, now pieces of rubble, two planes traveled through the air. Both of the planes were heading in the direction of Ponyville, though it was noticeable that one of these planes was not going to make it, namely the bigger one, one that could've housed thousands of ponies, now housing at the bare maximum of a hundred. The rest of the cargo planes had already left back to a Lunar base, but not this one. Sadly it's twin turbines were already in ruins, the mechanical parts lit in flames and breaking off, the plane losing altitude quickly. The other plane, with one seat was also badly damaged, it's pilot knocked out. Slowly the large plane crashed onto the ground, while the other plane drifted through the skies, it's estimated landing point calculated near a barn in Sweet Apple Acres... Impact - Midnight Applejack sat silently as Fluttershy began to stitch Midnight's chest together, her arms working quickly and delicately to ensure that she didn't accidentally worsen the problem. Her hands were covered in red blood as she continued to heal Midnight to the best of her ability by stitching his chest and back. Applejack sighed. Partially Applejack hoped that everything will go well and that the colt would survive, and the other side wanted the colt dead, whether due to the operation of by her own hands. A killer did not deserve a chance at life! They take lives so it should be done that a killer should have his own life taken as punishment. From the moment where Manehatten was vaporized off the face of the Earth till now it had been a day. A day filled with fluctuating emotions. She had cried for her family, she had hoped they had escaped, she was broken when it all seemed impossible, she had smiled sadistically when she read that letter, and now she was split in two with the colt here. That colt, was her family's killer. A killer of many ponies. Millions probably thanks to that explosion. He deserved to die. There was no other explanation necessary. He was a monster, a monster that had to be put down before it can be awakened again and more deaths would follow. But then, whether the creature did so intentionally as a way to trick her or not, the fact that he had said that he did not had a family so calmly... it was even frightening. Perhaps it was a signal that this creature truly is a monster, that he contained no feelings. Or perhaps his life too was ravaged by pain her's. She had became emotionless, maybe for a split second, but... ...is this what she could become? What anyone can become? A emotionless monster that was created through pain? "You okay Applejack?" Fluttershy asked as she finished stitching Midnight's chest, and now was wrapping a huge piece of bandage to prevent any bacteria from entering. Applejack frowned. "Yeah I am. Thanks for asking. It's not like I'm thinking right now that this pony that you're helping might be the same one who killed my family!" Applejack yelled. 'Jeez I can't think straight anymore.' She thought afterwards. Fluttershy sighed, looking at the ground. "I've shouldn't had told you that. I should've kept my mouth shut." Fluttershy said quietly, but enough so that Applejack could hear. "Yeah you should've! Because now I want to kill that pony! And if I manage to kill that pony, then his blood will be in your hands!" Applejack yelled, her hand itching to reach for her gun and shoot the Lunar straight in the head. Fluttershy glared at Applejack. "It would be in your hands Applejack! Not mine!" Fluttershy said, trying not to grit her teeth. "The reality is that you'd be no better than him if you killed him! If you're complaining that this colt, who was just following orders, just like so many in the army are, killing your family and friends, well think about how his family and friends would feel if you killed him!" Fluttershy yelled. "Well this is the real reality here sugarcube! We are in a war with the Lunars, those Nightmare Ponies who stole millions of our ponies through death. My family is dead along with so many countless others! And that pony, the one you're helping, is that killer! If you want to ensure peace between the nations, then you better let me kill that colt to prevent more grudges forming when that final death toll is counted!" Applejack yelled. Before they could continue to argue, the pair heard some coughing sounds. The two stared at the Lunar who began to wake up, coughing a bit of blood along the way. Applejack readied her gun to fire at the pony if anything bad was to happen, but Fluttershy placed her hand on Applejack's arm and lowered the gun. "Calm down Applejack. If you do believe that the Lunars are beasts and animals, then don't give it a sense of it being threatened. A animal once threatened will do anything to protect its life. You saw those ponies that came back home after a serious injury and were able to recover from their wounds, but not from the mental scars they had. PTSD. Post Trauma Stress Disorder. At anything they'll be in panic in a defensive mode, ready to attack anything. Which is why it was given the order that once a pony is sent to the front lines, that they can't be sent back because they become a threat to us. And from a military point, a fearless, angry, and violent 'animal-like' Equestrian would become the best pony since they would fight to the bitter end. But please don't try to harm the colt." Fluttershy said. Applejack gritted her teeth before sighing, putting the gun back in it's pocket. "Fine! But if he rips your throat open that that's not my problem!" Applejack yelled as she sat on the ground, pouting. Fluttershy sighed. "I'm going to have to get a psychologist for you Applejack. You weren't like this before." Fluttershy said. Applejack smirked. "Neither were you." Applejack said. Fluttershy softly smiled. "Yes yes I've grown a little from my shy personality, but I hope to go back to it once this thing is over." Fluttershy said, just when the male Pegasi jerked himself up, gasping for air. "Where...? W-w-where am I?" The colt said, shaking his head in confusion. He held his chest in pain. "Argh... Why does it hurt so much?" The colt muttered, before he lifted his vision and saw Applejack and Fluttershy looking at him. His vision slowly lowered, before locking onto Applejack's gun that was still visible, though it was apparent due to her hand that she was ready to pull it out if necessary. The Lunar gulped at the sight of the weapon but otherwise seemed calm, though his gazed remained on the gun. "You did it right?" Applejack finally said after a moment of silence. Midnight looked up at her. "Did what?" Midnight asked. Applejack gritted her teeth, a red tick forming on her head. "You know what I mean! You were the one who dropped that bomb! You were the one who killed millions of ponies! And you were the one who killed my entire family! Aren't you?!" Applejack roared, causing both Fluttershy and Midnight to cover their ears. Midnight frowned. "Yes I did. Don't have to remind me that!" Midnight said. "Your own kind was stubborn to not let anyone leave Manehatten. So it's not my problem." Midnight said, crossing his arms. Applejack's eye twitched at Midnight's response, before she suddenly let out a roar. "YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET SAYING THAT!" Applejack yelled, grabbing her gun and preparing to fire it straight at Midnight's head. Time slowed as the sound of gunpowder igniting was head, the bullet escaping from the barrel. Midnight at the same time jerked his head away as hard as he can, the bullet passing just a few centimeters from his head. Midnight glared at Applejack, who was just ready to load up another bullet. Midnight's hand acted like it was grabbing an invisible gun, only for one to materialize rapidly. The two pointed their pistols at each other, ready to blow the other's brain, when suddenly a butterscotch hand jerked each of their guns up, just in the nick of time where the two fired. The bullets met above in the air before crashing into the ceiling, tearing a hole through it. "Stop!" Fluttershy yelled, her blue eyes nearly glowing with anger as she used The Stare. This caused the two to freeze in fear. "Midnight! Apologize to Applejack right now for hurting her feelings! Same goes to you Applejack for threatening his life!" The 'shy' Pegasi said "Hey it's really not my fault not problem that- "HE KILLED MY FAMILY-" "STOP!" Fluttershy yelled, silencing the two. Midnight looked at the ground and then at Applejack "Sorry Applejack about your family's death. I guess it is my fault then." Midnight said. He looked down again before looking at Applejack, extending his hand. "I know this is wrong for me to say, but let's forgive and forget. Let's try being friends." Midnight said, only to say 'ouch' when Applejack slapped his hand away. "As if I'd make friends with the enemy especially the one who killed my family. I won't forgive you either. I only promise not to immediately kill you." Applejack said. Midnight shrugged "Ok then. I'm fine either ways." Midnight said dryly. He turned around to the direction of the door. "I'll be going then. See you on the battlefield then." Midnight said, spreading his wings. Suddenly he felt a sharp pang in his chest due to his wound that is still healing. As if on cue Fluttershy appeared with a note "You're not ready to leave yet. You're still healing." Fluttershy said. "I have written this note for both of you and since I'm a doctor I'm going to be giving orders around here for Midnight's recovery. And also yours Applejack." "You're a doctor?" Midnight asked. "She's not." Applejack said dryly. Fluttershy smiled. "Order #1: Midnight will now be living with Applejack who will be his caretaker." "WHAT?! YOU WANT ME TO TAKE CARE OF THE ONE WHO KILLED MY FAMILY?!" Applejack roared "What's you're name?" Midnight said to Fluttershy who smiled at Applejack's antics "Fluttershy but you can call me Flutters." Fluttershy said. Midnight nodded. "Ok... Flutters ... SHE'S GOING TO KILL ME! APPLEJACK IS GOING TO KILL ME!" Midnight yelled out in panic. "You'd deserved it! You killed my family!" Applejack yelled "I was ordered to do so! If they told you to strap a bomb to your chest, roll under a tank and blow yourself up, you'd do that like so many hundred Equestrians!" Midnight yelled. "Wait we actually did that...?" Fluttershy said gasping. Before the two could argue more Fluttershy continued to read the note. "All forms of potential weapons will be removed from the house. Applejack? Midnight? Give me all you're weapons. And also all your knives and such things." "Fine." Midnight said. The two watched in awe as Midnight began to pour out many guns and grenades from seemingly nowhere. "There that's all. I'm doing it because I trust this Fluttershy, not you Applejack." Midnight said. Applejack grumbled. "Fine. I'll do it also " Applejack said, giving Fluttershy her shotguns and pistols. Fluttershy then took all the sharp knives and objects from the house, replacing them with plastics before putting everything in a duffel bag. "Thanks you guys. Now let's see what's for the third order. Midnight will be sleeping with Applejack-" "Wait WHAT?!" Applejack cried out. Fluttershy stammered. "I mean on Applejack's bed..." Fluttershy said. Applejack sighed in relief "Thank you I thought you wanted me and him to have-" "...and have sex-" "WHAT?!" Applejack cried out again. Midnight though was staring at the two in confusion. "Wut?" Midnight simply asked in confusion. "I was about to say it in a questionary format but then you interrupted Applejack." Fluttershy said. "Says Mrs 'Have You Seen My Clop Book I Tend To Misplace It?'." Applejack said, adding a smirk. Midnight blinked. "What pony had that nam-" "It was a joke idiot." Applejack said causing the young Lunar to frown. "I'm not an idiot." Midnight said. "Says the idiot." Applejack countered smirking even more. A red tick formed on Midnight's forehead. "Hey stop calling me an idiot!" Midnight pouted. Applejack smiled. "I can call you and idiot how many times I want, idiot!" Applejack said. "Oh dear..." Fluttershy muttered. "Okay. Midnight stays. No weapons allowed. No attempts to murder the other. Midnight will rest here until recovery. Any issues call me. And if you want to have angry sex that is the only thing remotely to violence that can happen." Fluttershy added, giving her own smirk. Applejack blinked. "You're a evil cute little angle aren't you?" Applejack said finally. Fluttershy smiled. "Call me whatever you want. And please record it when it happens." Fluttershy said. "And why are you saying this to us?" Applejack asked. Fluttershy cooed as she opened the door to leave. "Because everyday is stressfull and I need some form of entertainment to take out that stress if you know what I mean." Fluttershy said. Finally Midnight spoke. "What's sex?" Midnight asked. Applejack faced hooved. "Celestia damn it I have to deal with somepony with the mentality of a child... Great ..." Applejack muttered "At least you don't have to fear of him rapping you." Fluttershy added. "Good point." Applejack said. Midnight came up to Fluttershy just as she was about to leave. "Can I ask you something Fluttershy?" Midnight asked. "It's Flutters now thank yo-" "I like your original name Fluttershy." Midnight said, smiling. "Why did you save me?" "HEY I WAS THE ONE WHO SAVED YOUR ASS KID-!" Applejack yelled in the background. Midnight frowned at her "And then you tried to kill me." Midnight countered. "Plus she could've decided not to help. I want to know why she helped. Was going to ask you but then you tried to kill me. So Fluttershy? Why?" Midnight asked. Fluttershy nodded. "I believe that Equestrians and Lunars should live in peace. There's no point in killing each other over racial differences and ideology. If war was to happen there should've been a good reason. Fear and Superstition are not good reasons. We were less to believe you as monsters. But here you are. You are not who they say you are. And this only gives me more prove to want peace." Fluttershy said, smiling as well. Midnight smiled as well while Applejack frowned. "Thanks Fluttershy. You're a real friend and helper." Midnight said before turning to see Applejack. "I just hope the same is true for Applejack." Midnight said. "She just needs time as well. She's hurt from what happened." Fluttershy said sadly. Midnight nodded solemnly. "Understood. Don't worry me and Applejack will become good friends... Sooner or later." Midnight added. "Right Applejack?" "Go buck yourself." Applejack said harshly, not liking Midnight being friends with one of her only friends. Midnight blinked. "What does that mean?" Midnight said, causing Applejack to groan. "Bye guys! Have a great time!" Fluttershy said before leaving. "You too!" Midnight said, waving his hand at her. She waved back before spreading her wings and taking off. The two were now alone, Applejack and Midnight who stared at each other awkwardly. "So... We're not going to do Order 3 right?" Midnight asked. "Of course not! I don't want to have sex with you!" Applejack cried out. "What is that?! What is that!?" Midnight yelled. "Something me and you will never do together!" Applejack yelled. Midnight shrugged. "Ok. Still don't know what it is." Midnight said, holding his chest in pain. "Yeah it still hurts. I'm going to rest." Midnight said, grabbing the nearest blanket he could find and curling himself into it. "Goodnight." "It's still bucking morni-" Applejack said, but by then Midnight was already dozing. Applejack sighed, remembering when Apple Bloom would rest the way Midnight was, in a small little furball. Applejack looked away, not wanting to trigger more memories. "I'm going to miss them." Applejack thought before yawning. "Maybe I need to sleep. Hadn't slept all day since yesterday." Applejack said, before going into bed, looking down at the blue furball, before going to sleep as well. It was now Midnight when the little furball began to move. Slowly Midnight uncurled his body, yawning a little, stretching his body. The colt turned to see if Applejack had already slept, and sure enough she was still sleeping. Slowly Midnight crept towards the door, silently opening it before heading out. The moon was the only thing that was able to glow through the dark clouds from Operation: Eclipse, along with a few powerful stars. Midnight sighed. "Why am I doing this? I could just leave and try to find the nearest Lunar base camp. Then I can properly heal up, meet my friends, and continue my journey." Midnight said to himself. "But sometime tells me that I should stay. Maybe it's my adventurous side, maybe because I feel guilty of leaving without doing anything to repay Fluttershy and Applejack. Especially Applejack. I supposedly hurt her a lot, and I don't want to leave with such guilt. Plus they saved me, even though one of them tried to kill me." Midnight said. Midnight began to walk towards his plane, and upon seeing the wreckage he sighed. "The thing's a bust. No good for repairing. But maybe I can scrap this ..." Midnight said, before hopping into the cockpit. Quietly he began to disassemble the control area and the transmitter, the radio receiver and sender. He opened a drawer inside the jet, which housed many tools of various sorts. Grabbing some metal and the wires, along with the receiver and sender, Midnight began to assemble a small device, which looked like a tiny orb with helicopter parts. He pressed a button and it turned itself on, a blue dot forming in the center of a screen. "Find them." Midnight said simply. He threw the device into the air, where it caught itself in the last of the night time currents, before disappearing into the distance. "Why I am doing this I still don't know, but I just did it. Oh well. Now time to create a radio receiver-" Midnight suddenly looked up and saw that the moon was no longer shining as it had disappeared over the horizon. "Dang it. I need to get to bed quickly and sleep otherwise Applejack might be suspicious if she sees me awake." Midnight said, quickly walking towards the barn. He slid through the opening between the door and hinges, quietly closing and locking it again, and curled himself in the same position he was before. 'You did good Midnight. You did good. Now all you have to do is to survive that mare until they come.' Midnight thought, feeling tired from using his mind to create the device. Slowly sleep began to grab him, before he eventually dozed off. And it became interesting that for the first time in his life, he dreamt dreamless. Impact - RivalAuthor's Note Yay this story is at 11: 1. Slow progress but nevertheless good! Thank you for all you followed the story and liked it. Impact - Rival "Midnight...?" Fluttershy asked, blinking many times. Midnight looked up, his mouth full of food. He slowly swallowed savoring the food. "Yeah Ms. Fluttershy?" Midnight said, grinning before stuffing himself another plate of food. "Ya sure that this is how much you Lunars eat!?" Fluttershy finally exclaimed, pointing at the small mountain of plates on the table. Midnight smiled. "Well yeah. Since I train many times a day, and since my metabolism is high, I have to eat a lot of calories to balance out the amount I use. I think the average Lunar eats the same amount of food as a Equestrian." Midnight finished, before yet again stuffing himself with another forkful of food. "You guys make the best food ever! Even by Lunar standards! Well by Lunar Military Food Standards. This tastes great!" Midnight exclaimed. Applejack nodded. "Yeah... Family Special... HOW COME YOU'RE *NOT* FAT!? What's your *very* special training program." Applejack yelled. Midnight took another forkful of food. "100 Push-ups. 100 Sit-ups. 100 Squats..." Midnight said, as in a trance, his voice becoming monotone and his eyes blank. "Then a 10 Kilometer run! DO IT EVERY SINGLE DAY!" Midnight said. Applejack blinked. "Is that all-?" "I'M NOT FINISHED!" Midnight cut, still in his blank trance. "And of course, make sure you eat three meals day. Just a banana in the morning is fine, but never ever use the air conditioner in the summer, or heat in the winter so that you can strengthen your mind." "What's an air conditioner...?" Fluttershy asked only to be ignored as Midnight continued his rant. "In the beginning you'll wish you were dead. You might start thinking what's the harm of taking a day off? But for me in order to be a strong hero even if I was spitting blood I'd never stopped. I talked it out and endured the pain! I did squats even if I felt my legs couldn't move... even when my arms started to make weird clicking noises I kept doing push-ups..." At that moment Applejack slapped him across the cheek. "Midnight get out of your trance this instant!" Applejack yelled. Midnight shook his head, recovering from the slap. "W-what? What just happened" Midnight asked. Applejack blinked. "You don't know?" Applejack said, trying to ignore the death-glare Fluttershy was making. Even though she knew it was impossible, she did not want to test out if Fluttershy's stare could kill someone if she placed all her force into the glare. Midnight shook his head again. "Nope. I don't. What was I doing?" Midnight asked. "You were saying how you were able to keep up train hard enough to-" Applejack said before Midnight went into the trance. "And there he goes again." Applejack grumbled as Midnight began to repeat the exact thing over again. Of course Applejack hit him in the face again, causing Fluttershy to groan even more. "Stop hurting the child...." Fluttershy protested. Applejack rolled her eyes. "He's what? 18? He can more than well handle himself." Applejack said as Midnight began to recover. He stared blankly at them. "I did it again, didn't I right?" Midnight asked. Applejack nodded. Midnight rubbed the side of his face in protest. "But man you can surely hit!" Midnight said, groaning in pain. Applejack smiled. "Yes I do." Applejack said. "Anyways is it some type of memo ingrained into your head so that you can say it to yourself?" Applejack asked. Midnight nodded. "Yeah it really is something like that. Guess it kind of rubbed on me. That was when I first began... and honestly I'm surprised how the years have passed. But those are now meaningless things at the level I'm at. Of course I could've shown much more if it weren't for me still healing." Midnight stated. Fluttershy nodded, passing another plate of food which he happily chowed down. "And don't worry I'll do the dishes." Midnight said. Fluttershy blinked. "But you're healing..." Fluttershy protested. Midnight smiled. "It's fine. A soldier is his own one-man team. Plus this is nothing against the number of plates I sometimes had to wash when I was in charge of doing that simple chore back in the military." Midnight reassured. He placed down his plate on the table and stood up. "Let me show you now." Midnight said, grinning. "Are you sure this is safe Midnight?" Fluttershy asked. "DON'T BREAK ANY OF MY PLATES!" Applejack yelled. Midnight chuckled. "Don't worry. I won't break any plates. And you can swear on my other leg that I will do that." Midnight said, grinning. Suddenly the house was filled with bursts of winds as Midnight began run around at intense speeds, maybe the same speed as a race car. Midnight would throw a few plates up, dash to clean the furniture in the kitchen, and just when the plates were about to make contact with the ground he would throw them back up, the plates cleaned in a blink of an eye before stacked to the side. The amount of speed required to do such feat was so high that Applejack and Fluttershy's mane would be blown to the side over and over again in many directions. Finally all the dishes were all set aside inside each of their cabinets, and soon the blue blur moving around the kitchen slowed down revealing to be Midnight again. "Told yaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!" CRASH! Midnight was standing the first second. The second second he had stepped onto the puddle of water that had dripped off from the dishes while he had been cleaning them. The third second he screamed in fright as he began to slip on the wet soapy surface, by the fourth second he was already falling by the ground, and by the fifth, his leg that had not been injured twisted to a weird angle as he shifted his center of mass horribly, and soon the sound of his bones snapping and cracking in some places were heard. Midnight screamed in pain, jumping very high into the air, so high he crashed into the ceiling before falling on his back, clutching his leg in pain. "MY LEG! MY LEG AGAIN! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!?" Midnight yelled, shaking on the ground as he screamed from the pain coursing through his leg sending signals to the brain. Fluttershy rushed towards Midnight, lifted his leg to inspect it. Quickly she pinpointed the source of the pain. To test if it was indeed the correct location, Fluttershy lightly pressed it, causing Midnight to scream even more louder. "Argh! Quiet down Midnight! My ears are hurting!" Applejack yelled, covering her ears. Fluttershy shot her a death stare, causing her to freeze. "Applejack! How very rude of you! Get some towels and my equipment here... NOW!" Fluttershy yelled, and soon Applejack was running out of the room, trying to find all of what Fluttershy asked. 'Gr.... why me why me why me... if she indeed loves that colt then she should be getting everything for that kid... but no! I have to go even though he killed my family! Sure now because of Fluttershy and partially because Midnight is acting nice I probably wouldn't have the heart to do so. Even if I did he's as strong as me if not stronger. But I believe making him stay alive is the minimum amount of respect that he wanted.' Applejack thought. 'Oh there's her kit.' Applejack noted, picking up the bag with the medical insignia on it. By the time she had gone back to the room Midnight had already fainted. 'And they say this is their best man?' Applejack scoffed internally. She set the bag next to Fluttershy. "Honestly Fluttershy I don't see how you can love an enemy." Applejack asked. Fluttershy smiled. "I know it might be hard for you, given your history with him recently, but if you just forget what the person is and instead concentrate on who he is, you'd be able to love him no matter the things he did." Fluttershy said. Applejack raised an eyebrow. "How many types of loves are there?" Applejack asked, grinning a bit. Fluttershy not knowing where this was going fell into her trap. "Well we have parental love, familiar love, friendship, sexua-" Fluttershy said, stopping herself suddenly as she finally realized the trap she fell in. She turned around to see Applejack stiffing a laugh and frowned. "You really are an evil creature miss!" Fluttershy protested. Applejack went into a full series before finally finishing. "Oh this is just too fun..~ You keep falling into saying something sexual, and Midnight keeps... doing whatever he does..." Applejack said. "And you just act mean." Fluttershy added. Applejack's smile shortened a bit but nevertheless present. "Of course. I am mean." Applejack said sarcastically. Fluttershy frowned. "At this point this is going to become so repetitive that it'll be boring... We'll be doing the exact same things over and over again until it bores us to death..." Fluttershy sighed. Suddenly her eyes shimmered as she got an idea. "I know! We should invite Pinkie Pie! She could turn your frown upside do-" Fluttershy cut herself off, before sighing. "But... Pinkie Pie is still pretty affected by the war. Sure even during her life in that rock farm before moving to Ponyville she hosted some parties with that so called... Cheese Cake? Sandwhich? Cheese Sandwhich? Well anyways once they met each other by chance they began to bond, and eventually gained their cutie marks when they made their first party together. But ever since the war began, she never really got the chance to meet him again, and who knows if he's still alive. Without her partner she can easily deflate, and who knows if she's still deflated..." Fluttershy said. She sighed. "Oh well... that idea has been thrown out of the window for now..." Fluttershy said solemnly. Applejack glared at Midnight. "Yet another Celestia Bucking Pony Midnight affected. Come on... when will this terror end?" Applejack muttered. This comment though was enough to stir Midnight back up. Fluttershy placed her hands on Midnight's stomach and pushed him back down gently. "Wait a minute Midnight I have to heal you first." Fluttershy said. Midnight nodded. "Ok. Thanks for telling me Fluttershy." Midnight responded. Fluttershy grabbed Midnight's twisted leg softly, gazing through his eyes. "This... is going to hurt... but I need to do this." Fluttershy said. Midnight was still for a moment before nodding. "Alright... You do what you need to do... I trust you... More than that... more than that... more than that..." Midnight's voice trailed off as he looked at Applejack. He then tilted his head. "What are you looking at... bitch!" Applejack yelled. Midnight nodded. "Oh that... Alright I'm just going to use it... I trust you more than that BitchhhhHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOW!" Midnight yelled as Fluttershy twisted his leg back, before immediately applying pain killers onto him. Fluttershy glared at him softly. "Please don't repeat anything what Applejack says. She kind of says some mean things and I don't want that to rub off on you." Fluttershy said, wrapping bandages around his leg. Midnight nodded. "Alright miss... I'll do so." Midnight said. Fluttershy deadpanned. "I'm not old. I'm like just a few years older than you..." Fluttershy said. Midnight nodded. "Alright Flutters." Midnight said. Slowly he got up only to be pushed down by Fluttershy again into a sitting position, his legs straight out. "Please rest Midnight. We don't want you to put more stress on your legs than ever. They, along with your chest, need to heal." Fluttershy said. Midnight sighed. "But I want don't want to be stuck in bed! Sure it's good, but I feel bored... I just feel I'm in a prison cell." Midnight protested with a child like voice. Applejack raised an eyebrow. "You want to work in the fields? Cause it's fine for me." Applejack stated. Fluttershy sent another death-glare at her but luckily Applejack turned the opposite way before she could fall victim to her attack. "We have the fields in the orchard to be bucked ya know...?" Applejack said, raising an eyebrow, grinning evilly. Now it was Midnight's turn to deadpan, a drop of sweat forming on his face. "No way! You're just going to beat me up like last time!" Midnight cried out. Applejack frowned. "It wasn't my fault that you hit that tree!" Applejack grumbled. Midnight rolled his eyes. "Of course... of course..." Midnight said sarcastically. "Honestly on a scale of 1 to 10 I would put a 3 for the amount I trust you and 10 for the amount I trust Fluttershy." Midnight stated. Fluttershy smiled. "That's very sweet of you Midnight..." Fluttershy stated. "HEY!" Applejack barked in fury. Midnight shrugged, pulling his arms behind his back and scratching his head. "Well I don't know... you're going to have to recover that trust... honestly I'm starting to wonder if I was seeing a demon. The devil does keep his glowing clothes, it's just his interior that's dirty." Midnight stated, causing the mares to look confused at him. "Oh forget it basically like I say 'Appearances are Deceiving'." Midnight added. He then looked outside, looking at the trees and then thought for a moment. He then sighed, placing a hand on his forehead. "Fine... I'll go... but don't make my life a living hell more than it already is!" Midnight said before running out. "Alright... But I make no promises!" Applejack yelled as she got out, causing Midnight to groan. Fluttershy looked out of the window sighing. "I hope that Applejack doesn't make Midnight's life a living hell more than it is already..." Fluttershy stated, before blinking upon saying those words and processing it through her head. "What...? Did I just heard and restated what I think he just said...?" Fluttershy gasped. Meanwhile the duo had arrived at the fields of apples again. Applejack grinned devilishly at Midnight. "Remember that tree that you broke your leg with?" Applejack asked. Midnight gritted his teeth. "Yeah... I broke my leg yesterday ya know!" Midnight yelled. Applejack chuckled. "I know that due to your speed you'll probably be able to pick all of these apples in a jiffy. But I want this to be competitive. I want to see if you can beat me in this game. If you are apple to knock all of the apples in that tree, and reach a total of say... 100 trees before I do, you win a small percentage of kindness from me." Applejack said. Midnight deadpanned. "You're saying that because you think that'll be impossible right?" Applejack nodded at this statement made by Midnight. The Lunar sighed. "Oh well, can't help but take that chance." The blue pegasi said as he tried to stretch his legs, only for them to nearly collapse. Applejack snickered. "Well I hope that it does work out for you." Applejack said before gaining a head start on Midnight by dashing to the nearest tree and bucking all of it's apples off. Midnight gritted his teeth as he dashed to the tree that he broke his leg with. "HEY THAT'S CHEATING!" Midnight yelled. Out in the distance more trees being bucked were heard as Applejack laughed. "You win some you lose some."Applejack yelled. "Tough luck." The mare yelled before bucking another tree. Midnight gritted his teeth before kicking the tree. At first the pain was massive since Midnight struggled to use both of his legs efficiently to kick the tree. Eventually though the pain began to subside and soon apples began to fall in much more greater quantity. The pain in his chest grew a bit with his respiration quickening up but the stallion continued, working even more furiously as Applejack's number began to increase to the dozens. By the time she reached 50 trees he was just barely done with half of the apples. "Hey Midnight how's it going?" Applejack's voice yelled from the distance. "Great. Great right now!" Midnight yelled with sarcasm. "My leg is now numb and by entire body is hurting." Midnight yelled. "Oh too bad! Hey I'm already half way done with these trees and you're still stuck with that one?" Applejack taunted. Midnight roared as he kicked the tree again. "Yeah I am! I was able to buck half of these apples off!" Midnight yelled. He heard Applejack curse in the distance, causing him to chuckle in response before kicking the tree again. With the added rings on his leg it had actually gotten much easier to cause the same amount of force with less energy because it now made his leg more heavier and thus the mass in the equation had increased. Sure it now weighed more but he was accustomed to this weight and even with that it was much easier than without the rings. Slowly the amount of apples that began to fall increased to 2 to 3 to 4 and so on the harder he kicked. But time was running out as Applejack was in the 90s and close to 100 while Midnight had only a few more apples left. "98...." Applejack chanted, taunting Midnight who was now only 7 apples away from going to the main course of trees. He kicked the tree, kicking out 6 but spraining his leg. He cried in pain but remained standing, determined to win this competition. "99..." Applejack yelled, running towards he next objective. In a desperate attempt he attacked the tree again, and the last apple fell. Now free from this tree that attempted to not let him pass, the blue colt sped through the fields, finishing dozens of trees in the remaining millisecond that remained. Time slowed as Applejack's leg began to travel through the air, ready to make contact, when suddenly Midnight appeared, having completed 99 trees and was determined to steal Applejack's tree. The apples that were kicked off were still falling from the trees that he had kicked, and slowly Applejack realized his presence, her eyes picking his body up. And before she could, Midnight kick the tree so hard that all the apples simply flew away into the air away. "Ah... ah.... that's all 100 trees including that one..." Midnight said, before collapsing onto the ground. "I need to rest." Midnight said before fainting again for how many times it was already since his arrival. Applejack was once again left in a state of shock. Not only was Midnight able to beat her, but was able to drop all of the apples from the impossible fruit? It seemed downright impossible! His legs should've broken like last time... how did he do it...? "I hope that right now you're going to keep that promise Applejack." Fluttershy said as she entered the scene. Applejack groaned. "Do I have to?" Applejack pouted. Fluttershy nodded. "You have to. You yet again placed his health at risk. From the looks of it he's fainted once more from pain and exhaustion. Congratulations Applejack. Now you want me to do it again?" Fluttershy said, before taking out of her bag a large needle designed to go through bone marrow itself. Applejack shivered at the sight of the large needle. She quickly nodded furiously once Fluttershy stepped front one step. "Good. Now help me by picking him up." Fluttershy commanded. "And why should I since apparently you seem the one to care more about him, maybe even secretly loving him?" Applejack said smirking. Fluttershy did not stop her stride instead she countered with a reply. "Well I'm supposedly a fragile mare, that why I need a strong mare, strong enough to not only carry him but to be strong to one day carry his foals." Fluttershy said not missing a beat. Evidently Applejack was both angered, humiliated, and embarrassed by this statement. "Alright that's gone far enough Fluttershy! I am not going to love him, much less carry his own children in me!" Applejack yelled. Yet again Fluttershy countered hard. "I was talking about the potential children that me and him would have if you're so keen into shipping us. We need a... hmm... I don't know... a female servant to help us very often." Fluttershy said again. "And I didn't knew that you wanted to mating with him..." Fluttershy added. "Maybe I should be that faithful servant to help carry YOUR foals from Midnight." Fluttershy finished, smirking as Applejack was lost for words. "I... er... wha... uhm..." "Just kick up Midnight up and we'll forget what just happened here." Fluttershy said as Applejack groaned before picking up Midnight again. "I hate you Fluttershy." She grumbled. Fluttershy snickered. "Then after this let's have some angry clop later." Fluttershy said, swaying a bit. Applejack nearly dropped Midnight as she blushed furiously. Applejack and Fluttershy stayed in silence as the two proceeded to walk back to the farm. Applejack rested Midnight on the table again and sat on the floor, still blushing on what just happened. 'Note to self never attack Fluttershy unless you want to get humiliated.' Applejack thought internally. Fluttershy after properly taking care of Midnight sat next to her. "So about tha-" "If you're going to say that we're going to have some angry clop, then you're insane." Applejack said, halting Fluttershy. The young pegasi blushed softly. "You want to do that?" Fluttershy asked. Applejack blushed harder. "NO I don't want to do that that's just so gay!" Applejack protested. "It's lesbian actually." Fluttershy corrected. "Whatever!" Applejack said, looking away in even more embarrassment. "I just want to know if you're going to keep your word." Fluttershy said. Applejack stayed silent for a moment thinking about it. "Rival." Applejack simply stated. "What?" Fluttershy asked, confused at the sudden and one word sentence. Applejack sighed. "I'll be his rival. It's better than being his enemy, or someone who hates him. It let's me still hate him, but in a more competitive way. And considering that he probably has something type of competition back on home and to keep him in peak shape I'm going to be his rival. Nothing more!" Applejack states. A moment of silence appears between the two. "If you're going to do it please be gentle..." "FLUTTERSHY!" "I was meaning about being his rival. Not about angry sex." "...FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" Impact - IntermissionAuthor's Note This chapter is a seperate chapter to the main storyline. Thank you for the support. 12:1 Impact - Intermission Inside a dark room lit only by monitors, a team of scientists huddle together along with a tall dark blue alicorn. The alicorn looked concerned at them, her eyes darting many times at the monitors which showed the Equestrian map. A purple unicorn noticed her worrisome face. "Princess Luna. Don't take this ill but while I too am worried about his welfare, we can't worry extensively. Otherwise our ability to continue planning for this war will deteriorate and in a situation where the enemy is improving rapidly and we are outnumbered 10 to 1, we mustn't let anything get in our way." The young unicorn spoke. Luna gritted her teeth. "Midnight... he's out there... if we attack and they find him... they're going to kill him... I can't lose him Twilight... he's like... he's like..." Luna said, tears pouring down from her face, causing the unicorn's ears to flatten. "He's like a son to me. Sure many are like children of mine but well... he was basically born into the military, and so we had a connection earlier on than others... you understand Twilight?" Luna said. Twilight sighed but nodded. "Yeah... After the end of that war, you told us that he's under our protection. He's kind of a little brother to me as well, same goes for Shining. I'm sure Rainbow Dash and Rarity have similar opinions on Midnight being a nice guy and friend." Twilight said. Luna cried more. "He asked me... I shouldn't had sent him there... his life is now at peril if not at all if he died... his plane must be completely busted since he's not responding any of our signals at all. Or maybe he's not alive anymore to respond..." Luna said, crying. Twilight sighed as she remembered each and every time Luna cried, she was practically her star pupil and was into many of her Lunar duties. The most recent time when she cried for someone else was five years ago when a pony by the name of War Thunder, the creator of the series of jet planes, was killed with his family at the end of another war during the last stand of the resistance. It devastated Luna, who considered them close friends and family even. The most recent case was when Midnight nearly was killed when the Equestrians came in with a full counter strike with weapons centuries ahead of their prehistoric ones, and even though it was weaker than their own technology, because of the massive amount of Equestrians appearing and some dragon allies who were able to tank massive blows, their advanced slowed, halted, and nearly collapsed under that sudden counter-strike. So many Lunars died, their first near defeat with the death toll at a million, a tenth of their standing army at the time, and 0.1% of their population. One million souls died, with nearly 50 thousand at the first day. It was so violent, that all the battles before, and even some battles after that combined paled in contrast to the amount of Lunars lost. Midnight had nearly been one of those million that had died during what was known to the Lunars as The Battle Near Blood-Lake Pool to describe the amount of deaths that occurred. Many Lunar clothings turned blood red due to the amount of blood that had been laid. Pools of blood formed around what used to be heavy and fortified Lunar positions... it was just total destruction. The dragons were basically immune to all their weapons at the time, the only thing that was capable of fighting these beasts had to be deployed, and while at the end the dragons were able to be defeated, the death toll was immense. During the end of that bloody battle which lasted a full seven days, Midnight was forced to face against a large dragon known as Dragon Lord Spike. From what they could tell this dragon used to be under the caretaker of Celestia's 'prized-pupil', who probably just got lucky that enough magic strain had been built before her and was able to crack the egg. Or she was actually talented. Whatever the case she took care of the baby dragon, until he left for some unknown reason. At the same time the former Dragon Lord Torch held the Blood-Scepter Trials and apparently despite all odds Spike somehow won. Apparently before the actual trials he met with the Dragon Lord himself and his daughter Princess Ember. Long story short just like how they were able to break their own limits with Rainbow Dash her speed and Shining Armor his shield, Spike was able to tap into his own potential. Since his starting magic was different to that of other dragons as he was born with unicorn magic instead of dragon fire magic, he gained abilities unforseen to dragons since thousands of years. Just like how some Pegasi are able to use their innate lightning ability without activating it, Spike was able to do the same with his dragon fire, combining it with his innate Equestrian magic, creating things unseen. His growth stage quickly developed and in the time between Lunar arrival and the most bloodiest battle the Lunars had seen at that point, Spike became a teenage dragon, around Ember's and Garble's age group. With his newfound power he was able to become Dragon Lord and actually solidify an relationship with Princess Ember. Garble would actually become his best friend, one who taught him the ways of the dragon, though they would occasionally dispute with many things that Spike never found well like breaking eggs or Garble trying to pick on his Equestrian past. The new Dragon Lord would simply overpower him whenever this occurred. When the battle that would claim 1 Million Lunars began, the dragons arrived, tricked by the Equestrians that the Lunars would sooner or later also take their own lands and exterminate them (despite there being no tactical advantage of owning the land). This move was to also prevent the dragons from joining the Lunars since it was a possibility that if Spike had some grudges against some ponies, he might call war against the Equestrians. Unfortunately for the Lunars, the dragons accepted the alliance with the Equestrians. The Equestrians told them that the Lunars carried many times more gems than Earth itself, using the example of each one carrying at least a bar of gold or like in Midnight's case, golden rings, along with many other gems. These were so common that they appeared everywhere. Even the most 'poorest' Lunar could have more gems than their richest noble. Spike personally wanted to attack the Equestrians, but after some discussion with his people and with the former dragon lord, decided that they would accept this proposal. Secretly though it was apparent with the number of dragons concentrated on the Equestrian Dragon Border that Spike and his people had planned to attack Equestria the moment that the war was over. The dragon's scales and magic was something that the Lunars had never seen in a thousand years, and thus they were extremely unprepared, along with the huge boost in technology the Equestrians had and the sheer number of them appearing. Dragons were resistant to heat and they were heavy tanks, thus their missiles did nothing to them upon impact with the exception of pushing them back. Machine Guns had little effect on them due to their scales and their small laser beams simply bounced off due to the way their scales were made. The Lunars began to lose a lot of ground, their army in disarray. It had appeared that the mighty Lunars were going to fail, just like The Race in a popular series called Worldwar Series. Basically an alien race comes to the planet during a massive war in hopes of colonizing the planet. Centuries ago they had sent a probe to see the inhabitants technology and upon seeing just swords and shields they saw no harm in invading centuries later. Their technology progressed slowly and in all the planets they've conquered so did their inhabitants. It was a shock however when they came only to find the inhabitants of Earth reaching World War 2 technology (this was a Alternative Universe by the way) in a short span of time that took them many thousands of years! Even despite their technological superiority, as time passed the inhabitants progressed so fast against The Race, having already been in war, that The Race was forced to sign a peace treaty with them. And literally in the year 2030s, about a century later, the inhabitants of Earth would arrive at The Race's home, showing how far they could go and how fast they can go. The Lunars just felt like The Race at this point, beaten back so much. Any Convention that was to ban illegal weapons was probably not applied to them since they were considered 'monsters', 'nightmares', 'ponies from another world' and so forth. Chemical weapons were used, and horrifying traps were placed to torture any unsuspecting victim. It seemed that the war was over once the Equestrians increased their army to that size against the Lunars. It would be Midnight Blitzer and Shining Armor, Major General (at the time) and Captain of the Republic Guard, who would change the tide back into their favor. Midnight Blitzer commanded a fierce pegasi division known as the SS Pegasi Division. These pegasi were brutal in every way possible, taking down many of their enemies in seconds with unrivaled efficiency. They had all tapped into their innate lightning ability and other innate abilities each carried, and with Midnight's blitzkrieg tactics, this was a powerful force. Shining led the SS Unicorn Division, who were specialized in various deadly blasts and shields. With these two together they would perform MASSIVE encirclement movements, the rest of the Lunar army following them, until they had captured thousands of unsuspecting Equestrians. The moment they saw a curvature in either of the two groups movements they immediately would know they were screwed. The pair would use this blitzkrieg tactic over and over, causing great terror on the Equestrian populace and gaining their names as "Midnight Terror" and "Bloodbath Armor" due to just how many kills they were able to rank up, making sure that the Equestrians paid their actions. At least double the number of Equestrians would die as well, with possibly many more due to how many times they were encircled. Many Equestrian Armies simply collapsed because of these two's leadership and their powerful armies. It's suspected that only one soldier from each army fell, but that would be due to injury as they would be sent back to be healed. But their luck was going to be tested when they encountered the dragons under the Equestrian code Operation Dragon Torch. All their dragon allies made a massive push in a attempt to push them back, though to be fair they were having a rough time in the cold regions of the north. However like previously there was little ways to stop these dragons with the exception of going into close combat. Thus it would be these two specialized armies that would go confront these dragons. The battle was brutal, and many were injured, many nearly killed if it weren't for the quick healing from the unicorns or the evasive speed from the pegasi. Eventually it came to Midnight Blitzer and Shining Armor vs Dragon Lord Spike. Their battle was difficult but by the end they were able to come out on top after Midnight flew high into the sky and came down crashing at Spike while Shining Armor sent a massive wave of energy. But that was not the real issue. The real issue was that now fatigued, Midnight was now susceptible to being fired upon by the Equestrians as he flew back up into a high altitude to 'bomb' another dragon. And just how they feared, the Equestrians fired upon the colt, and even his Lunar Armor was not able to do anything to save Midnight from this assault as it melted under the pressure. He was shot down from the sky, multiple bullet wounds appearing on his body. Luna cried for Midnight just like how she cried for the million Lunars who sacrificed their own lives for their nation. It was the bloodiest battle ever and nearly his downfall. And now he was in trouble again. And this time there was nothing she could do. "I understand Luna... but if we don't act now we're only increasing his chances of him perishing. Calculating with the limited info we have I determined that he must've landed near the very heart of Equestria. While this may be bad news, this gives us more determination to fight Princess. We already have him to race with against time anyways, and with Midnight having more and more chances of perishing everyday we must begin these operations." Twilight said. Luna sighed. "So what should we do?" Luna asked. Twilight motioned her brother and a cyan rainbow-maned pegasi stallion forward, raising her eyebrow a bit at the sight of the male pegasi. "Rainbow Dash and Rarity... did you just had to use it again?" Twilight groaned. Following the pegasi was Rarity, a white unicorn with purple mane. The two giggled. "Yeah Twilight. We had to. Plus I kind of know what're you planning, and I think this form will suit it." Rainbow Dash proclaimed, sticking out her/his chest. "Plus my name is Rainbow Blitz now thank you very much. And no I did not try to steal Midnight's code name." Rainbow 'Blitz' / Dash said. Twilight groaned as she face-hooved. "Anyways I see Rainbow Dash's potential in her as well. I'm not saying that she will replace him, just substitute him. She might not contain the traits Midnight has, but she is certainly faster than him." The purple unicorn stated. Rainbow Blitz grinned. "Heck yes I am! Anytime any place! I'll destroy that kid in any race!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. Twilight sighed. "I must remind you Rainbow that you're only faster in your female form because of your sleeker build and that you weigh less. A stallion has to deal with a bit extra pounds due to their muscles compared to females. Just consider yourself lucky Rainbow." Twilight muttered. Rainbow Dash nodded before coming up to Princess Luna and saluting. "Don't worry Princess! The fierce and fastest Lunarbolt Captain will take care of this job! No problem!" Rainbow Dash stated, grinning. Luna nodded. "I do not doubt your ability to command Rainbow Dash/ Rainbow Blitz. Just make sure that you don't let your ego get into your head and make rash decisions." Luna stated. Rainbow Dash nodded. "You got that princess!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. Luna nodded. "So what Operation shall we be conducting?" Twilight asked. Luna looked straight at her. "All of them." Luna stated. All the ponies around the room stood in shock. "All... all of them?!" Twilight exclaimed. Luna nodded. "You said that we must enact quickly, and with speed I shall act quickly. Operation Neptune and Operation Uranus more better said must be conducted as of now. We have to break through their lines quickly if we're to reach Canterlot." Luna said. Twilight gulped but nodded. "Alright Princess... not going to go against that logic." Twilight stated. Luna sighed. "I can't imagine though the death toll count by the end of the war. Things will only become more fiercer as we begin penetrating. I'm afraid bombing runs like Operation Flame Torch and Operation Nova will have to begin if we're to penetrate deep as well as other operations. The Equestrian force is large, really large. They'll stop at nothing to destroy us. We must lay down our pacifism and go full on aggression if want a chance to win." Luna stated. Twilight nodded. "Alright. Understood. We must prepare more. But can it be possible that we can wait? With Midnight in the group we might have a chance to generate a bigger push." Twilight offered. Luna sighed but shook her head. "We can't. I hope it might not be, but he might've died soon after dropping the nuclear bomb. And if he's alive we must attack and try to find him in the midst of battle. I just hope that he isn't being tortured at the moment." Luna said, tears falling from her face at the thought of his body torn apart by the Equestrians. She looked at Twilight. "Turn on the trumpet Twilight. We shall warn yet again the Equestrians of a bigger threat. Use as much time as you see fit to prepare the invasion force. We're going to be pushing their coasts and pushing into their land. We're going to be stepping on Equestrian soil. And we'll not stop at anything." Luna said. Twilight nodded before saluting and she, Rainbow, Rarity and Shining left. Luna sighed, opening the dream world to see if Midnight had dreamt only to pick nothing up. She sighed. "I only hope that Faust gave you rest my dear Midnight if you have perished, and that she gives you long life if you live." Luna stated before leaving. She passed a hallway who's windows showed the outside void of space. Outside were massive carriers, loading up with many soldiers, equipment, machinery and weapons to prepare for Operation Neptune and Operation Uranus. They were going to hit Equestria, as hard as they could. They've lost a million since the war. They can't forever spare any lives anymore. If they were called monsters, then monsters they shall be called. A countdown appeared, ticking down from 48 hours. In 48 hours she will announce Equestria it's ultimatum. She had become soft because she wanted to honor her sister. Not anymore. She won't make the same mistake twice The third phase of the war was coming. The young colt's vision slowly began to return to normal as his eyes widened. 'W-where am I...?" Midnight said, his ears being assaulted by a high pitched sound. As the sound began to clear, it was muffled by the sound of gunfire. He looked ahead, just in the nick of time to see a plane get blown up into the air. Midnight's face was that of horror as he could see the still body of the plane's former pilot fall from the sky, before the gunfire was redirected at the falling body, making sure not to give the pilot a chance to live. 'No... not this again!' Midnight thought. 'Quick Midnight! Use your training! Wake yourself up!' The Lunar pinched his wings to wake himself up, only for no response to arrive. 'Wait... I'm not dreaming at all! T-then what is this! This isn't like anything I've seen!' The young colt thought. He quickly drew out a sharp metal object, before screaming in pain as he dove the object straight through his arm, blood coming out. Midnight gasped once he actually checked his arm, the insignia of his status of a Lieutenant General gone, and instead of it was nothing. It was clear that he was a Private Class... but when was the last time he was a priva- 'Oh no... not this again...' Midnight thought. "Midnight! Throw me that grenade!" The voice called out again. Midnight spun around to see a silver-colored mare yelling at her, extending her hand to receive the grenade. Midnight looked to his side and saw the flashing light of a grenade in it's idle mode, ready to be activated to be blown up. But the colt already knew what was going to happen. He seen this so many times before in a memory that was nearly forgotten. "No! I won't!" Midnight yelled. The mare gritted her teeth in fury. "Private! As your commanding officer I demand that you throw me that grenade! If we're going to deal with these rebels then you gotta give me that grenade." The pegasi yelled. Midnight shook his head. "What!? Why not!?" "Because they'll kill you! You'll become a target, a easy target! I don't want to see you di-" Midnight was crying out, that was until he gasped in pain when the mare hit him in the stomach. He dropped to the floor, clutching onto his stomach. "It's an order Private!" The mare yelled, causing the colt to whimper. Her glare softened as Midnight was on the verge of tears. "It's okay Private. Don't worry I'll be quick and sooner than you'd expected we'll be heading home real soon!" The filly said, grabbing the grenade nearby and activating the trigger system. Midnight grabbed her by her leg. "Please... don't do it..." Midnight said, trying to get up to have a better stance to stop her. The higher-up shook her head. "I know you might be scared, but don't worry this'll be too easy!" The filly said, standing straight up and pulling her arm back to throw. "Take this bitches!" The mare said, and just when she was about to let go, a bullet tore through her arm, causing her to gasp in pain. Her eyes widened even more when the grenade began to flash faster as it was ready to blow her and Midnight up. And to make matters worse, her arm was as frozen due to the amount of pain coursing through her body from the bullet. "NO!" Midnight yelled, running towards her, praying that if this was a dream that Luna could wake him up or stop what he knew was going to happen to happen. "G-goodbye Midnight." The higher-up said, before screaming as the grenade released a flash of white as it detonated, taking her with it, while Midnight screamed in horror and pain as he was both throw away and saw her being blown up by the device... Applejack was just starting to wake up from bed when she was startled by a nearby scream, so startled that she tripped off her bed and collapsed onto the floor. Looking to where the source of the scream was she realized that it was Midnight, crying and screaming on the floor. "Oh Celestia dang it Midnight keep it down!" Applejack said harshly, pissed that Midnight woke her up all of the sudden. The boy stopped crying but continued to cry, tears spilling and wetting the dirt floor. Applejack frowned. "Oh stop being a cry-baby. Get up already, stop being a colt and be a stallion." The orange mare said. Midnight slowly got up, sobbing as he got up. "I said to shut up and be a man!" Applejack yelled, pulling Midnight up and pushing him away, causing him to nearly lose his balance. The young colt did not look at her directly in the eye, but it was apparent that he was annoyed by her. "Come on. Come outside with me. We have work to do." Applejack said neutrally at that point. "But Fluttershy said that-" Midnight was saying until Applejack cut him off. "I know what my friend said! But if we're going to get you up and going again you're going to have to keep that body in check. Also we don't have any food so we're going to have to pick some apples to make something. So come along." Applejack ordered. Midnight sighed but nodded as he slowly got up, the pain in his chest bothering him, every breath causing him to clutch his chest in pain and grit his teeth. As Applejack got out of the barn, she sighed as she remembered the first time she went out to work on the fields. At first was weak, barely enough to even shake a tree with either fists or legs. But as her bigger brother began to teach her how to connect with the tree properly, using the ground as a stronger base, along with training at home, Applejack's strength began to increase over the years, until she was as good as her brother, able to shake even the mightiest of all trees. She chuckled as she remembered the prank her family pulled on her when she pitched her against a certain tree. The only thing was that this tree was unmovable by any means possible. No matter how many times she punched the tree, kicked the tree, (once she even used the chainsaw on it but it didn't work either) the tree didn't budge. It wasn't until after nearly a year after fighting with the tree where she said that she gave up on the business. That was when the truth was revealed to her, and when the pitched her against another tree, all of its fruits were able to fall thanks to her training. Oh and let's not forget when Apple Bloom began to help as well! Though younger than when she started, the young filly would've picked as many baskets as she could and prepared them to collect the falling apples. Then she would carry each basket back to home. That was her training, and already signs of the fruit of her training were stating to, well, bloom, as her muscles began to become more apparent and toned, much like her own and the rest of her family. It was good times... times that will now no longer continue with her family gone, dead. Applejack sighed, sadness taking over her as memories of her family began to pour into her mind. She was so focused in these thoughts that she didn't feel a hand poke her shoulder many times. "Erm... Applejack. You stopped walking." Midnight's voice said. Applejack got out of her trance, her eyes slightly widening when she saw Midnight's hand over her shoulder. Quickly she slapped it away, gaining another 'ow' from Midnight. "Don't touch me." Applejack said simply. Midnight looked at her directly in the eyes before sighing. "Sorry. I know you must miss them..." Midnight said, looking at the ground, feeling guilty now. "Apology not accepted." Applejack said sternly. Midnight sighed before looking at the large fields of apple trees in front of them. Thankfully the trees, while depending on the sun for their energy, could continue growing in the black environment around them. Though now more labor force had to be used to maintain these trees growing, and even with the technology like fertilizers and artificial lights helping, it still required nearly the same amount of labor used before these times. Applejack pushed Midnight towards a tree. "Now Midnight, since I saved your life ("And you tried to kill me...") Shut up Midnight. Anyways I saved your life, and since you took away my family ("I already said I'm sorry about tha-) Well you will be more sorry when I do this to you. You will now replace the bulk of their labor force from now on." Applejack said, taking in as much pleasure she could when she saw Midnight's face. "WHAT!?" Midnight cried out. Applejack scoffed. "Oh don't worry I was nearly able to complete half of these fields when my brother got injured. Course it was way more helpful when Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie helped, I thank them. But now with them gone, you'll be my new 'helper'." Applejack said. Midnight blinked. "I swear you were about to call me a slave." Midnight said. Applejack shrugged. "Ok... 'slave'. You will do what I say from here on out." Applejack said, grinning. Midnight frowned and sighed. "I should really shut my mouth up...." Midnight muttered. "You really should. Plus, think of this as a training program. Like look at you." Applejack said, pointing at Midnight's body. "No muscle. Seem to be packing some weight. Your bones seem undeveloped. Yeah think of how more efficient you'd be later once we train you." Applejack said with a smug smile. Midnight frowned. "Appearances can be deceiving. My fur is still ruffled you know?" Midnight said. Applejack shrugged. "I don't care. Now go there and pick those apples." Applejack said, grabbing a stick and hitting his side. "Ow!" Midnight cried out. "Stop treating me like a slave!" "Oh I am going to have so much fun with you... slave." Applejack said, laughing. Midnight sighed before flying up and individually picking up some apples. Applejack shook her head. "Yeah Midnight. Not really the thing I planned here." Applejack said, pulling him down to the ground, so fast that his fur became puffed up. Applejack snickered. "You look hilarious like that. Anyways though, here's how I want you to do it." Applejack said, getting into a kicking stance, before kicking a tree, the tree shaking before apples began to fall off of it. Midnight's eyes slightly widened at the sight of the powerful mare. After putting her kicking leg back onto the floor she smiled at Midnight. "Now you do it." Applejack said. "I am so going to break a bone at this." Midnight grumbled. Applejack shrugged. "You killed my family. Now I don't have the labor force to take care of this farm. You're now going to replace them as much as I hate it. Not my problem though." Applejack said, grinning. Midnight slowly looked at her. "Was that... for last time?" Midnight asked. Applejack nodded. "Yep. Says Mr. 'Not My Problem'." Applejack said. Midnight groaned, before he got into a kicking stance, many times nearly losing his balance. "Earth's gravity giving you troubles? Not my problem." Applejack remarked, causing Midnight to growl. "Buck you! And I don't even know what that means!" Midnight yelled. Applejack rolled her eyes and looked away, smirking. "Not. My. Problem. Say what? If you can bring down even one apple, we'll stop for today." Applejack stated. Midnight nodded, before kicking the tree out of fury and determination. Applejack winced at the sound of bones cracking and the sound of a bloodcurdling scream going through her ears as Midnight's leg cracked when his leg met the tree. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! APPLEJACK! MY LEG!" Midnight yelled in pain, dropping onto the floor and clutching it in pain. "MY LEG! MY LEG HURTS RIGHT NOW! APPLEJACK!" Midnight cried. Suddenly it was stopped when he yelled 'Ow' as something hit him square in the face. Applejack was shocked to see a apple nearby Midnight, same thing for Midnight who was surprised to see that the object that had fallen was a apple. He chuckled and smiled, though he was still in pain in crying. "Y-ya k-know wh-what they say... No pain... No gain..." Midnight chuckled, before fainting from the pain. Applejack stood there, before finally blinking. 'Shit... Now I have to buck the trees all by myself for breakfast.' Applejack thought, before sighing as she prepared her kicking stance before kicking the same tree that Midnight kicked. And she too screamed when her own leg nearly broke. Nearly. "What the... h-how...?! I should've been able to kick that tree easily! Unless..." Applejack said to herself, before screaming once more when she realized which tree they've been kicking at. The same tree that she had been kicking at many times over without success... The same tree that so many other Apple Family members had tried and failed to knock down a single fruit, one that even her own brother couldn't manage... ...the same one that Midnight just right now had knocked down a single fruit from it. Even though he also broke his leg trying to do it. But either ways, he had achieved the impossible. "Is... he... THAT STRONG!?" Applejack cried out. "But that's impossible! His body is nowhere the type needed to pull off such feat! Unless..." Applejack said, gulping at the thought of what she had to do to see if she was correct. Slowly Applejack flattened out the fur from his 'fat' stomach, and she discovered that in reality everything was the contrary. His body was well toned, maybe as toned as her own brother's! And to add more sting, the former Lunar Pilot was probably just a few years older than Apple Bloom, maybe a bit younger than herself! "Appearances can be deceiving. My fur is still ruffled you know?" Midnight's sentence echoed through her head. First was his nature, contrary to that of a Lunar, supposedly. He was able to convince her friend that he was not dangerous. He passed as one that was unable to defend himself without the need of a weapon due to his 'apparent' body type, but his fur was just simply... ruffled? How much more things that seemed to be is he really hiding...? Of course, her leg sent a signal of pain to Applejack to remind her that she was hurt. Applejack gritted her teeth, rubbing her leg as hard as she could. "Ugh! Fine! Let me call Fluttershy then!" Applejack said, grabbing her radio and sending a signal to Fluttershy. "Fluttershy! Do you copy! Fluttershy answer the radio!" "I don't need to answer the radio if I'm right over here... Applejack..." A soft but harsh voice said. Slowly Applejack looked up to the source of the voice, her eyes widening when she saw Fluttershy sitting on a tree. "Surprise Motherhoofer." Fluttershy simply said, and it was at this moment that Applejack knew, she bucked up. "BUCK! YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN MAKE THIS WAY LESS PAINFUL RIGHT!?" Applejack voice yelled out as Fluttershy was operating on Applejack... with no pain killers or pain reducers. And it wasn't like Fluttershy was being careful either. As Fluttershy healed Applejack's strained leg, she also checked on Midnight who was still unconscious. "Yeah, well what would be the point of this punishment? I saw you mistreating that poor colt! Yes he killed your family, but at least show some respect!" Fluttershy yelled. Applejack whimpered as Fluttershy continued to operate on her, until she finally stopped. The original pain had disappeared, but still her body was feeling hurt from what Fluttershy did. "Well he kind of did it to himself ya know? I didn't know that the tree he hit was the same one that is unfazed!" Applejack said trying to defend herself. Fluttershy sighed. "But you did try to hurt him. You literally called him a slave and you treated him like one, pushing and hitting him!" Fluttershy said. "He was not supposed to be working at all now! His chest needs to heal! He needed to be in bed, resting!" Fluttershy yelled. "I had joked about you having sex with him, I mean it was unintentional, but I didn't imagine you feeling his body over!" Fluttershy commented, a hint of a blushing forming. Applejack blushed as well. "Well I was wondering how the kid could've done that if his body type wasn't the adequate to do so! Surprisingly he's really toned. But I had no intention of feeling him over for pleasure! I was just wondering!" Applejack said, stammering along the way. "L-let's just stop with this conversation about what happened. We don't know how old that colt is. You could be breaking the law about child labor or child abuse! Or if someone else saw and misinterpreted this as... well you know what would've happened." Fluttershy said. Applejack had a deadpanned look. "I thought we said we're going to stop talking about this?" Applejack asked. Fluttershy nodded. "Of course, let's not talk about this anymore. I need to work on Midnight's broken leg, and I don't want the image of you seductively looking over Midnight's toned body in my mind while I operate on him." Fluttershy said, blushing before hitting himself on the head. "I did it again didn't I?" Fluttershy said. Applejack chuckled. "Well that's kind of what happens when you read those type of books Fluttershy. Just try not to become a pervert. You do you." Applejack said. Fluttershy rolled her eyes before taking out one of the operation knives and cutting through Midnight's leg, beginning to heal Midnight's broken bone. Luckily the young colt didn't wake up, otherwise he would've had experienced a lot of pain through the operation. Finally as Fluttershy stitched the broken skin Midnight finally woke up, smiling as he saw her. "Thanks Fluttershy..." Midnight said happily. "Yep. I totally ship you two." Applejack muttered, though both Fluttershy and Midnight were able to hear this comment. "I am not a thing to be shipped. I am not a supply box or crate." Midnight said. Both mares just blinked at him. "H-how old are you Midnight?" Fluttershy asked after a long moment of time, while blushing at the thought of Applejack shipping her and Midnight. Midnight scratched his head. "Erm... 15?" Midnight said, scratching his head. Applejack's jaw dropped. "15!? That strong at such age!? Are you even normal!?" Applejack said, grabbing Midnight and shaking him crazily. Midnight became fazed by this rapid movement of his body, and by conclusion, his brain. After Applejack finished her assault and Midnight finally recovered, he scratched his head again. "Well it's 15 Lunar Years. Even when we managed to lower the amount of time it takes for a Lunar Day to pass which would've been around 30 days, Lunar days are still a little longer than a Equestrian Day. Basically after complex mathematics we have various systems. Though if I wanted to go with the Equestrian Cycle, I'd be 18 years old." Midnight responded. Applejack nodded. "Alright that's a more understandable age... but still 18?! And you're that strong!?" Applejack yelled again. Midnight nodded. "Uhm yeah... you said that the moon's gravity is supposed to be weaker than Earth's because it has a smaller body... well guess how we increased the spin of the moon to be that of Earth's while still maintaining everyone on it?" The young Lunar asked. Fluttershy widened her eyes. "You increased the gravity of the moon?" Fluttershy asked. Midnight nodded. "We did. And since we can now freely manipulate gravity, we technically also manipulated time due to the fact that space-time curves around massive objects. I usually train in Gravity Rooms, and as the gravity increases, time slows and the heat also cranks up as well as the pressure." Midnight said, before pulling something from his mane. "Oh there it is..." Midnight said, pulling four golden rings. "These can be used for many things, but one of my favorite things to use them are to train, since they can fluctuate in weight." Midnight said. He first let one go, and it fell as soft as a feather on the ground. He then dropped the second though and the ground cracked under it's weight. After experimenting with these rings, he slid two on his arms and two on his feet, the rings softly glowing before powering down. "Right now though I'm not in the right condition to be training, but if you want Applejack I could give you a set of them." Midnight said. "Wait... are they real gold?" Applejack said. Midnight nodded. "They are. Hmm... wait let me see if I don't have another set..." Midnight said, before pulling out another set. He placed them on the table. "Here ya go Applejack! One free set of these rings!" Midnight said. Applejack shook her head. "I don't really trust you. Who knows? You might use them to kill me by increasing the weight on them to unbearable measures. And they're... they're priceless probably..." Applejack said, though it was apparent that she was looking at the rings very profoundly. "Na. On the moon there's a lot of materials, and gold and jewels are abundant. Plus the most it can increase is based on how much you can take. It has a specific algorithm, and it'll accommodate your ability to maintain higher gravity levels." Midnight said. "My gift to you." Midnight added. Applejack looked at Midnight. "Are you making it harder for me to hate you? Because it seems you're certainly trying to do so, and you are making it harder for me to hate you." Applejack said. Midnight smiled. "Maybe. Of course I know it's hard to forgive, but like I said, I want to at least have a relationship where you're not trying to kill me at least." Midnight said, before laughing. "Yeah that would be nice. Not having to run for my life every single second... it gets sad and lonely... I just want to live a normal life..." Midnight said, his voice getting sadder. He then shook that thought off. "Say what... let's make a deal..." Midnight said. Applejack raised an eyebrow. "What deal?" Applejack said, trying to sound dry but failing to do so. "Well you said you need help keeping this farm alive, and I need a place where I can rest... of course the military will eventually find me, either one, and I'm going to have to leave, and with my condition I'm going to either die to your military or get patched up and continue fighting for my military. I want to repay you as much as I can for what happened back... two days ago I think? One day? Three days? So I'm going to stay here and help your life get back on track, and in return I want to be treated with the minimum amount of kindness. Alright?" Midnight said, extending his hand towards Applejack. "You don't have to shake my hand to be my friend, but at least shake it for the deal." Midnight sad. Applejack tentatively grabbed his hand and shook it down once "Fine... I guess so... but I'm still not forgiving you..." Applejack said, gritting her teeth. "You killed my family, and you took everything I had." Applejack said, before softening. "But I guess I do need help, and while you're the enemy, well I guess I can kill you latter on the battlefield." Applejack said. Midnight smiled. "Dully noted. But now you're speaking my language!" Midnight grinned. "If you want to you if we meet you can kill me. I'm not going to shoot at you. I'll be happy making you happy now and then. Alright?" Midnight said. Applejack stared at him a bit strangely. "Okay...?" Applejack said. "But anyways we need to get all the apples we need for today's breakfast... lunch...?" Applejack said, looking at Fluttershy. "What time is it?" Applejack asked. "Why don't we call it a brunch?" Midnight said. Applejack slowly nodded. "And don't worry I got the apples ready." Midnight said, getting up, spreading his wings out before zipping towards the field, a thin blue trail appearing behind him. In a split second in his grasp was a sizable amount of apples, enough for the three of them. "T-there..." Midnight said, panting a bit, before groaning in pain from his chest and from landing on his just recently repaired foot. "...all the apples ready Mistress Applejack." Midnight said, raising an eyebrow when he saw the two mares blush. "Erm... why your faces are red?" Midnight asked. "Was it something I said?" "Oh no Midnight... it's erm..." Applejack stammered. "Do you know what a mistress means?" Applejack asked. Midnight nodded. "A female boss." Midnight said. "Wait is there another definition?" Midnight said, blinking, causing the two mares to blush even further. Suddenly they heard Midnight's stomach grumble. "Oh yeah... hadn't ate anything since three days ago... nor drank..." Midnight said blushing in embarrassment. "Can we eat?" Midnight asked. The two mares looked at each other. "Yeah let's eat." Applejack said. "Agreed." Fluttershy added. The two went into the kitchen with Midnight staying in the room alone. Midnight lifted the ring around his left arm and pressed a hidden button, activating a recorder. "Start New Series of Log: Designate as 'Impact'. Commence Impact Log 1. During these last few days a lot has occurred to me. A few days ago I was designated as the bomber pilot with the possession of a nuclear device to be dropped on Manehatten. Despite my notice to reject the position, few hours later I was sent out, and at the designated time, dropped the bomb, killing many in the process. I have a secret though, one that hopefully won't land me in trouble if leaked some other way. Either ways I went unconscious and crashed near a farm in the area known as Sweet Apple Acres. I met two Equestrians, one with the name of Applejack and the other named Fluttershy. Applejack was one of the family member's victims of the Manehatten's destruction, and as of now she's shown hostile action towards me. Fluttershy however had shown kindness in many ways towards me, mainly through her kindness to heal a wounded enemy soldier. I am now trying to recover from a chest wound after being impaled by a metal part that used to be part of my plane, the entire thing wasted. I've also created a probe to find them. I can't specify who, otherwise yet again I might be in trouble if this recording is overheard or discovered, but I can say that if everything goes correctly as planned, I should be able to find their location during this month if not two. However I can say with a hint of success that my relationship with Applejack is slowly improving, though it is a fragile one I must say. Time will only tell. I also experienced a nightmare during today's sleep, and honestly it shook me to the core. I shouldn't had such 'dream' if I should call it that, 'nightmare' would've been better word to describe, 'memory' nearly 100% undeniable certain, but I did. I miss them, all of them. She might think that I don't understand, but I certainly do. And worse thing is that I know I am the cause of her pain. That strikes me harder than any other bullet. Being part of this project I know I have no other choice, I was born into it, but I wish I could do something about this... it pains me to see one victim of caused what they call 'The Terror of the Night' personally. Anyways... I just hope that things would go out well, for her. Midnight Blitzer Login Off." Midnight finished by pressing the button again, turning off the recording device and saving it. "Hey Midnight! Your food is ready!" Fluttershy's voice was heard. Midnight got up, replacing his sad face with a smile. "Alright Fluttershy! I'm coming!" Midnight said, getting up before disappearing into the kitchen.
Impact - PrologueAuthor's Note As you may had noticed, the original story had been deleted and this is now it's newer version.

Reviews and criticism is welcomed as well as ideas. Thank you.
Don't worry if you think that the chapters will keep repeating in style. Next chapter will feature another character hopefully, introducing new scenarios. Please follow and like if you're interested. Not about angry sex." "...FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-"
Impact - IntermissionAuthor's Note This chapter is a seperate chapter to the main storyline.
