She, unlike any pony others, saw the other side of Nightmare Moon. She still remembers her beloved sister as Luna. She remembers as she played with her toys, not with ponies or at least not alive, she still remembers her laughs, but not the sinister ones, the ones filled with joy and happiness. And as the princess remembers, she couldn´t help but let a tear out of her eye. She stood on her balcony and watched as the moon was brought up from the horizon to the night sky. And as the tear touched the balcony the princess let out a few words into the night. "One more lonely night," the princess said with sorrow and regret "but tomorrow you will be back and as Luna, that´s a promise" Celestia said as she closed her eyes and remembered yet another memory, not about her sister, but her student, in fact, the most faithful one named… "Twilight Sparkle" Celestia said as she remembered her letter which she sent to Twilight. ********** My dear Twilight, there is more to a young ponies life than studying so I am sending you to supervise the preparations for summer sun celebration in this year's location Ponyville, and I have an even more essential task for you to complete make some friends. ********** Full knowing what Twilight's purpose was. "Please, bring her back to me," Celestia said with sadness and tears coming down her face "Are you alright princess?" a unicorn with blue mane approaches "Yes Shining Armor I am fine," Celestia said trying to hide her tears away from the captain "It´s Twilight isn´t it..." "...…..." "You don´t have to hide your emotions, your majesty, it´s what makes us ponies" "Can I ask you a question Shining?" "Of course Princess" "How do you feel about it" "About Twilight?" "Not just her, the whole plan" "Well, I think it´s important for the sake of Equestria and so I believe that it is the right choice" "Even though we risk Twilights and the Ponyvilles ponies lives to do it?" Celestia said with worry Shining stepped next to the princess. "Even though we risk all that. Sometimes we must do what is necessary." "But it´s still your sister, are you not worried about her?" Celestia said with a little surprised tone "Of course I do, but I also know that she is very capable, I would immediately go instead of her, but she and only she is capable of finding the elements of harmony" "But she is still so young and..." "Trust me," Shining said as Celestia looked at him "She will do it" The night progressed further and the sky was painted with darker tones as the lights from Canterlot faded into the night. The next day was one of the busiest ones. After Twilight Sparkle left for her journey to Ponyville, Celestia went almost immediately to the training fields of royal soldiers. "Attention" Shining shouted to his soldiers "Alright let´s begin, today's captains will be, Ador and Edrin" "Yes sir!" both soldiers saluted and shouted "Good, give yourself a few rounds around the field, pegasi the same understood?" "Sir yes sir!" all royal soldiers shouted back Celestia flew above the training ground and watched proudly on her ponies in armor. As she landed near Shining Armor the captain immediately bowed before his princess. "Good morning Shining" "To you to your majesty," Shining said as he lifted his head "Never thought that they would respect you as much as they do" "I have a few rules when it comes to leadership and one of them is "treat others like you would treat yourself in their position" " "I see, well about that mission" "The troops are already waiting inside of HQ, they are just waiting for us" "Let´s not keep them wait anymore" Celestia said as she and Shining Armor walked inside of a white building with a golden helmet logo know as the HQ. As they walked through the hall of the HQ a few other ponies bowed before their princess and princess nodded back to them. When they reached their destination, the opened a wooden door leading to yet another big room which contained 3 squads of ponies. One squad was pegasi, second was unicorns and the third were earth ponies. Celestia along with Shining Armor walked to a little stage before those squads. All of the ponies stopped talking as Shining Armor began to speak. "Alright, you all know why you are here, but you are yet to obtain the exact details of this mission, please be enlighten that this s top-secret mission and all of you were specially chosen because of your results from your training as well as from missions you performed in. You all know that we are currently in peace with the changelings, for now, but from our spies in the changeling lands we obtained as well information, that the changelings are preparing for something, we don´t know what, we don´t know why, and that´s where you come in. And as well as the changeling problem we got another. Maybe some of you have heard the legend of Nightmare Moon, let there be no mistake, it is true." All ponies in the room began to whisper between themselves. And as Shining Armor was prepared to continue, Celestia began to talk. "Long ago before you were even born, my sister wasn´t as cruel as you may know from the legends, she was kind, merciful and a princess just like me. I still hate myself for what I have done to her, but at least after 1000 years my sister Princess Luna may finally return home, and so I am asking you here and now not to only bring my sister back but to bring the second royal princess and the heir of the night throne back home, to us. Now I am asking you to either leave this room or stay, you have last chance of retreat from this mission, and don´t be mistaken, I am not commanding you to do this mission, I am asking you." Celestia finished with a tear in her left eye After a little silence moment of the unicorn, guards steps up. "Your majesty, may I speak?" "Yes" "I do remember, when I first joined the royal guards, I was so excited not because of the money, not because of the fame, but because I believed that serving to you was a great honor, and I still believe it, so no matter the difficulty of the mission, I believe we can do it" One more guard from pegasi stands up "Indeed, we may break down, we may be damaged, and killed, but we are doing it for the Equestria AND it´s princesses" "Yes" "Indeed" "Count on us" "We can do it" The whole room is soon filled with proud words of serving her majesty anyway possible. And after all, soldiers stopped talking again, Celestia said a simple two words. "Thank you" After that Celestia walks a little backward as Shining walks forward. "Alright, now to the details, you will be split into two squads, each squad will contain three teams, the pegasi, the unicorns, and the ground forces. One squad will go into the changeling lands and the other into the everfree forest, I will let you decide to which you want to go, both are our top priorities, for now, you have a few minutes to decide who goes to where. When we will return I want those two squads ready, understood?" "Sir yes sir" "Good" Shining says as he and Celestia walks out of the door After a few minutes of waiting for Shining Armor and Celestia returns to the room and as they are going to the little stage, the soldier is standing in two rows. "Good, I see you decided. alright then, the squad who is going to the changeling lands after me, the other squad stays and will be briefed here by Princess Celestia" Shining says as one row gets up and walks right after their captain. "Alright, the plan is this..."

As they were near the castle one of the pegasi noticed a group of ponies trotting under them as well as blue smoke near them. "Princess they are, here all of them" Celestia stopped in the air and turned towards the pegasi. "And the smoke?" "Too, my princess" "Alright, we don´t have much time let´s move before they notice us and send a warning to our allies down there, they must not be discovered" "Yes Ma´am" The pegasi said as he flew a little closer to the ground and began to hoot like an owl. One of the hiding unicorns heard the 5-hoot signal and quickly teleported back to the rest of the unicorn and ground teams. He quickly found captains of both teams. "Sirs, the target has been spotted as well as the ponies, orders sir?" "Good, let´s split up and go for our destinations, good luck" "Good luck to you too, unicorn team teleport to, "spot b" unicorn captain said as he and his team teleported away "Ground team, let´s move to "spot a" and send the signal back" "Yes sir," said a soldier and have done the signal which was 6 hoots this time Pegasi noticed it and flew towards others in the formation, straight to the princess "Ma´am, other teams have moved as planned" "Good, the captain let´s move to "spot c" "Yes Ma´am" And as pegasi, unicorns and ground teams went onto their specific spots, Twilight and her friends moved towards the broken bridge. Celestia stops as she saw a blue pegasus fly down the mist and again up from it this time with rope in her mouth. As she landed Celestia saw her long-forgotten sister form 3 figures in the shape of pegasi. Captain stooped next to the princess. "Ma´am?" Captain asks as Celestia is seeing her long lost sister "Ma´am" "Uh-oh, yes?" "Do we have to change something?" "No, no no just, go ahead I am right after you" "As you say, your majesty" As the captain returned to the formation and flew ahead with others, Celestia froze aside from her wings which were still waving. She thought about how she would just fly over to her and talk to her, but then came a sudden realization. She is not yet her sister, now she is her enemy, Nightmare Moon. And as she watched a blue pegasi fly back to her friends and her sister change shape into a smoke form again she thought only about twilight well being as well as the success of this mission. Celestia after a while teleported to spot c to pegasi team already taking position near the back window of the room which contained the statue of the elements. "We are ready Ma´am" Captain whispered to Celestia "Understood, are others ready as well?" she asked in whispered words And after all, soldiers nodded to her, Celestia cast a big invisibility cloak above all of the pegasi team. In the spot b now controlled by the unicorn team which was finishing their preparations was as well cast an invisibility cloak, but individually. And when the ground team arrived at their spot a, in front of the main entrance they were surprised that there were those few fillies just killing time. They stopped just under a little cliff near a tree. "What are they doing here?" "Don´t know, this isn´t planned, orders sir?" After the captain thought about this situation he gave orders. "Let´s just wait we have covered the front entrance and that´s important" "Yes sir" All ground team lay down. After a while, all teams noticed a bright light coming from the inside of the castle. A scout from the Unicorn team carefully moved towards the window to see Twilight Sparkle run into a big vortex and disappearing. A seconds after that he notices her 5 other fillies burst into the room looking for Twilight. And after a few other seconds, all the teams see as well as Twilights friends notice a bright light coming from another part of the castle. Scout comes back down to the captain and princess. "Sir our target may have moved over there" scout whispered as he pointed at the light Captain turned to the princess "orders, Ma´am?" "I will not lose you again, let´s move into that other part, same spots, a different part of the castle" "Yes Ma´am, give the signal to regroup" "Yes sir," the scout said as he sent 2 arrows of magic towards the remaining teams All three teams found their own path to get to their new position. When regrouped they started to wait again. This however Celestia herself was watching, under the invisible spell as her most faithful student battle against her sister. Celestia once again felt the need for interaction, but she knew that she must proceed like planned and so she waited in and non-ending stress, under her invisible spell. When Nightmare Moon destroyed the stone ball which represented the elements she almost gave up hope. She nearly gave the order to finally end this, but she stopped mid-air upon hearing Twilights friend's voices. She slowly returned her hoof down and the unicorns backed up to the ground. As she was watching the creation of the elements of harmony and the rainbow as it surrounded her sister she couldn´t help but let a tear down her face. Captain of the unicorn team was aware of what comes next, and so he asked. "Your majesty" he whispered "orders?" Celestia slowly returned under the window near the captain and with the tear running down her face said. "Mission accomplished captain, start the return phase," Celestia said with a smile and a few tears Captain began to smile and with excitement said "understood Ma´am, scout send the green light, we have out princess back" Scout began to smile too and almost immediately let out 2 green balls of magic and sent them to other teams. Unicorn captain saluted to the princess with a smile and they teleported to safety along with his soldiers. Pegasi team flew for the ground forces and carried them safely away from the castle. Celestia began to fly to a window and with the words "Indeed you do" she let the sun came to the sky and along with it fly into the castle through the window….
Operation Changeling WatchView OnlineHow it all have REALLY began.Operation Changeling WatchThe night was calm and more beautiful than ever before, and the reason, the return of Princess Luna. Shining Armor, laying down in the grass looked at the night sky as him and his squad has made a pause. They are nearly there, near the borders with changeling lands. As he watches the beautiful skies of Equestria he whispers to himself "good job princess" with a smile on his face. After a while, he closes his eyes and begins to dream about home and his newly found love. His smile widens as he memorize him and his love at Canterlot and whispers once again "cannot wait to see you, my love". As he falls deeper into his fantasies his cheeks begin to take red shape. As the night goes by, a few soldiers on a watch notice a small group of ponies walking just a few meters away from them, but thanks to the high ground they are on, those ponies below could not see them. As this group of ponies walks by, soldiers take cover so they could be almost invisible to those ponies. After those ponies passed, soldiers stood up and continued their patrol. "We cannot be near the borders yet, it is so peaceful here" "Indeed, perhaps we are a few kilometers away" "But the captain said that we are actually almost there, that it is actually in this forest" "What is in the forest?" "Our military outpost" "You mean that one that we´ve overrun yesterday?" "Probably, If you mea...…..wait a sec....." The unicorn turned back just in time to see two things, one his friend downed by a changeling, second, a changelings fist in his face. "For the queen's sake, why do they always talking with each other when on patrol" "Don´t know, don´t care" They said as they took bodies into their green magic and took them away from the camp. When Shining was dreaming about his wedding day, he notices that there isn´t something to be noticed, too much quiet. "Strange," he said as he got up on his hoofs and turned. He saw his fellow soldiers, sleeping and snoozing, as for the patrol they were nowhere to be found and so Shining teleported to a position where they should be, but nothing. "Okay this is very strange," he said to himself as he was looking for the patrol. "Maybe they´ve gone for another patrol round" Shining was thinking "Sorry sir we are late we were going for another round" "Oh there you are, don´t do this to me, we are practically on enemy´s field, we must be ready if anything happens" "Yes sir, sorry sir," said one of the soldiers "It´s alright just stay frosty" "Sir yes sir," both soldiers said "Fine, I will go for the next patrol team so you can have so sleep" "Thank you, sir," one of the soldiers said As Shining Armor walks away both soldiers begin to silently laugh. "He doesn´t suspect a thing" "Not a single thing" After a while, Shining Armor returns with the next patrol. "Alright you two, go get some sleep, I am right behind you," Shining says as he walks with two another guards behind them "Yes sir, thank you, sir," both soldiers say as they walk further into the camp "Alright keep patrol as usual and I will check up on you after 5 minutes understood?" "Yes sir," both soldiers said "Fine" Shining says as he turns back and begins to walk further into the camp After the night has passed Shining wakes up everyone and the squad is again moving further to the borders. "Sir how long before we are there?" one of the soldiers asks "Soon" Shining replies "What it means soon sir?" "In a few minutes, if that´s what you´re asking" "Yes sir, thank you, sir" The squad moves further into the forest when they, at last, arrive at the outpost. Two unicorn guards welcome them with the salute to the captain. "Welcome sir, you were expected a little earlier, did something happened?" "No nothing, just some did not watch the time, is the path clear?" "Yes sir we have checked up every path there is and no changelings were to found there" "Good, alright squad we will have a small break here, I must write to the princess about our progress" Shining says as he enters the main bunker and closes the door. After a while, Shining comes out and says "alright let's continue" and once again the squad is going, but this time into the changeling lands. After an hour of walking, they found their target, changelings FOB. "Fine we´ve found the target, now let´s wait until the night comes along, then we will commence assault" "Sir may I suggest attacking now or tomorrow, we´ve had an hour of walking and hiding" "No we must take this FOB from changelings, it is crucial to the mission" "I am sorry what are we assaulting actually?" "Their Forward Operating Base" "I see" "So that we can commence a series of hidden attacks straight on the main hive from multiple directions" "I see" "Anything else soldier?" "No sir, I am just exhausted I will go get some rest" "Alright I will tell you when to attack" After a few hours of waiting the night has finally come as did the assault. "Alright ground team will go and secured the left side, unicorn team will go and secure the right side and the pegasi will secure the air and watch for any contacts understood?" Shining whispers back to his soldiers When all soldiers nodded, the attack commenced. The pegasi were fast and quickly took off into the clouds. The ground team was slowly approaching from the left side and the unicorn team with Shining in the lead slowly approached from the right side. When ground and unicorn teams we connected again behind the bunker right before it´s entrance, Shining stopped the attack. "Alright, now let´s burst in and take them down before they even notice us, and I don´t want any kills" Shining whispered to his men "you and you behind me, we are going in" he whispered as two soldiers stood behind him "on my mark, one, two…." "I am afraid Captain that there has been a slight change of plans," soldier behind Shining said as he pointed his spear on his back "and that the mutiny is actually in place," soldier said as all soldiers behind him started to change into their original changeling forms "and you are actually coming with us for a personal audience with her majesty queen Chrysalis" "If I were you, I would look behind you first before you decide to do anything," Shining said "Are you out of your mind you idiot we just surrendered and outnumbered you" "I wouldn´t count on that" "Tssss, you useless unicorn" "Before you will punch him you really should look behind you," another changeling said as he placed his green magic sword next to his neck "What the…," he said as he turned back and saw his entire squad tied up and surrounded by another group of changelings "Thanks, Lieutenant" "No problem Captain" lieutenant said as he took the changeling before him into his magical grasp and thrown him back "So you really do exist, the Changeling Ghosts" "Yes we do and we are really your allies if you will complete your promise" "We will Lieutenant don´t worry, Equestria is generous to its allies" "Thank you then and please call me……." "TRAITOR!!!" one of the changelings said "That or simply Ghost" "And the real name?" "You don´t want to know that" "Fine by me" "Fine let´s take these into custody, maybe we can learn something from them," they said as they moved forward to the captured changelings "You will never catch me!" one of the changelings said as he made a big green bubble blast and began to run away "CATCH HIM!" Shining said as a few men have begun to hunt the changeling down After a little while, the two soldiers who chased the changeling came back. "So?" "He got away sir" "Good, let´s get inside," Shining said as he entered the bunker "alright everybody here" Good, When the dawn will come we will be done with our mission and back home with our new allies, and so I declare the first phase has been successful, not to the second phase, changelings have multiple bunkers spread across the border, the pegasi team you will fly and put our little presents to all bunkers on the border, we know an exact number of the bunkers thanks to lieutenant here, so we only have one present for each, don´t make any mistakes, we cannot afford them, next the unicorn team each one of you have been equipped with a beacon, you will go to every our bunker across the border and wait for our presents to make a noise and after you will confirm that our present has been delivered you will light the beacon, and as for your ground forces you will take prisoners and along with our new allies and me will deliver them back to Canterlot, any questions?" …. "No, fine let´s do it" Meanwhile in the main hive. "My queen there has been nothing I could do" "Oh is that so, what about SAVING THAT FUCKING BUNKER" Chrysalis "But then I would be unable to tell you that they are preparing an attack on the main hive, at least we can prepare" "Fine, prepare our defenses, yourself and if they will breach us then you shall no longer exist, neither in my hive and neither on this world" "Yes my queen, thank you," changeling said as he flew away At dawn, nothing else could be heard then the presents going BOOM. One after the other the changeling bunkers have been destroyed by the explosives. And after those explosions (And one more explosion of the Queen at the main hive) all there could be seen was lights, yellow lights which signaled start on now raising airships and marching armies of Equestria directly into the changeling lands. And for one of those airships headed the opposite way for it was an airship full of captured changelings as well as Shining Armors and Ghosts teams on their way back to Canterlot.

After the successful assault on the changelings and the destruction of (almost) all changeling hives, three ponies meet up and discuss the current situation at the personal chambers of Princess Celestia. "Thanks for the personal audience your majesty" Ghost said "It´s nothing," Celestia says "that´s the least I can do for your service to Equestria" "We didn´t do as much your majesty" "Yes, you did a heck of a lot more" Shining said with happiness in his voice "It was nothing really, we just had enough of the endless war and that´s why I gave you the tip on the spy here" "Oh yes thank you for that, I would never consider my housemaid for a spy" "Yes we´ve always had a certain unique way of infiltration" "I understood as much" Celestia said "I must admit, I´ve never expected you princess to have such strategic thinking" Shining said "WHAT!" Ghost almost jumped from the shock "this was planned by the PRINCESS!" "Yes it was indeed my plan" "How, when?" "When you are all alone and you only have time for high-end ponies, one must come up with something not to get killed from boredom" "I think that living between those wouldn´t be as much bad as you say, princess, with all due respect" "If you think, well that brings us to your reward lieutenant" "Are you sure it will work?" "Yes it will, I have studied and perfected this spell for years if not months" "If you say so princess, then let´s not delay this any longer" "As you wish" Celestia and Ghost stood to one another as Celestia´s horn began to glow in her yellow aura. "Ready?", "Yes", Celestia´s horn is now covered in the yellow-green aura and after a few seconds, she shoots it right on the Ghost. After the process was done Shining Armor, Celestia and Ghost with a new body and voice began walking down the street. "I don´t think this is working, every pony is looking at me," Ghost says as they are walking down the street "That´s because you are walking with princess and captain of the royal guard," Celestia says "Yeah it´s usually around here if you are with someone popular you will be noticed almost instantly," Shining says "If you say so" They stooped in the entrance of a building called "Royal Hotel". "Em, why have we stopped here?" Ghost asked "Because this is your new home," Celestia said "What a hotel?" "Yes on top of that I bought you RVIP room, it´s just yours and you don´t have to pay anything" "Wow thank you, I-I don´t know what to say" "You don´t have to say anything, just as I said, Equestria is generous to its allies," Shining said "Wow, but this is more than generous, but what about my soldiers?" "Don´t worry, some of them choose to stay in the military and those who didn´t get some apartments too, I will give you numbers later" "This is so much you´ve done for us, how can I repay you any of this princess?" "You will repay me just like every pony else, make some friends" Celestia said "Alright" Ghost gulped and went into the hotel As he enters the hotel and is enjoying every detail of it he suddenly crashed into someone. "Sorry my bad madam" Ghost says as he gets up and offers a hoof to a mare "It´s quite okay my dear, wow I´ve never seen you before, oh where are my manners my name is Fleur-De-Lis, what´s your name?"
