In the Crystal Empire, everypony is celebrating Hearts & Hooves Day; however, 2 of it’s inhabitants aren’t. It was Thorax’s first Hearts & Hooves Day, and he’s still learning about pony culture since his stay in the Crystal Empire. And Cadence is spending her Hearts & Hooves, all alone since her husband is away in Canterlot; training new recruits.

Luckily, the two had each other and decided to spend their alone time with each other. During their time together, Thorax begins to feel comfortable and happy around Cadence, and as for the love Princess; she opens herself to the small Changeling and feels the same way around him. But also, along the way, Cadence goes into Heat; and without Shining around, she has no way to satisfy her. Luckily, she has a Changeling by her side, and she’s eager to show him a good time.

Author’s note: This story takes place after the events of Times Are a Changeling.
