Note: This story takes place before season 10.

Celestia relaxed in her chair as she closed her eyes enjoying the light of her sun along with the quietness of this moment, moments like this were rare for her and her sister. Most of the time the only free time she would get was for sleep and eating but today was a new day, her student twilight sparkle also known as the princess of friendship was given the assignment to see what it was like to rule a kingdom by taking both the night and day court.

The real reason she did this was because she honestly need the day off.

"I had a feeling I would find you here sister," Smiling she lifted her sunglasses off her face and turned to see her sister luna smiling at her.

"Luna? What are you doing up?" Celestia asked to which her sister replied.

"Couldn't sleep and besides I could always sleep tonight after all I got the night off," She told her sister as she sat down next to her sister by the leaning chair.

Celestia smiled as she leaned back pulling her sunglasses down as her sister joined her in the peace.

The two sat not speaking till luna spoke up.

"Sister did you have twilight take our tasks because of today?" Luna asked to which Celestia turned to her sister with her arms crossed.

"What do you mean lulu?" Luna turned to her.

"...Are you serious?" That was when Celestia realized what her sister was saying.

"Oh buck me! How could I forget!" She got up and moved her sunglasses up. "I didn't realized today was the day and-"

Luna smiled holding out her hand.

"I think you did because you had twilight take our tasks so you must have known even if you forgot," Luna suggested as the sun princess nodded.

"Yeah must have been second nature...Its been a long time," she stated as luna nodded.

"Yes but you know he picked his chose...but I do miss the him and the rest of our brothers," She then sighs. "How long has it been? 3,000? 4,000 years?"

"5,051 years 2 months 3 weeks 5 days," Celesita said as luna held a surprised look.

"I-I have to say sister I'm impressed," Luna said as Celestia smiled back before sitting down.

"Maybe we should wake him?" She shook her head.

"I thinks its best not to after all he did tells not to if it was dire," Luna told her but she then sighed. "But its been awhile perhaps we should wake him I don't think he wont mid seeing us,"

Celestia hummed before getting a idea.

"I think its time that twilight finally meets our beloved brother,"

Luna raised a eyebrow to her sister.

"Are you sure she is ready to learn the true past of equestria after all she will one day rule," Luna nodded at celestia truth as she got up.

"So much for our day off," As celestia smiled.

"We can always hold the courts back for one day,"

"True,"

Twilight hummed as she looked at the piece of paper in her hands as she hummed, it held reports on the trading between the dragon Isies and equestira. It held the record of the trade for the rare metals and in exchange for gems and the trade was good but it need a signature and she need-

"Twilight?" She jumped at her mentors voice.

She turned to see her beloved teacher looking at her.

"P-p-p-princess what are you doing here?" Her blood froze at the sight of her teacher.

Normally she would be happy to see her but now? Did she do something wrong? Did she mess up already?

Her fears increased when she saw luna! Oh boy she must have screwed up big time if both her teachers came to her!

"Well twilight we would like to talk to you about something," Celestia told her as twilight's heart began to pound in her chest as she head this.

"D-d-d-did I do something wrong," She asked cause the sun princess to smile before giving a lit chuckle.

"No no dear twilight your doing just fine," the princess said this confused her as the two sat down in the seats in front of her.

"Um...why are you here then, if you don't mind me asking because isn't your day off?" She asked as the two nodded.

"Yes but while talked with each other we decide that you should know of something," The sun princess told her causing her to go wide eyed.

"Know of what princess?"

Celestia smiled.

"Twilight please your princess as well you don't have to call me princess," She told her student as she smiled.

"Sorry force of habit," She stated.

"Its alright but besides that what I'm about to tell you is extremely secretive my student and the only reason we are telling you this it is because we believe you can be trusted with it," Twilight looked at her teacher as she listened in great detal as she was about to pull out her note book. "What we are about to tell you is something you must not speak to that isn't Luna or myself do you understand?"

Twilight gulped and nodded.

"Alright have you do know our mother queen faust," Twilight nodded.

"But do you know of her fate?"

"Um yes...it is said that after she gave you and princess luna the crowns of the equestria she left our world to rule the stars. Everypony knows that princess,"

Nodding the princess spoke.

"That is what we told our ponies but this isn't true," Twilight cocked her head as she heard this then the luna spoke up.

"We should tell you what really happen dear twilight," Luna told her. "Have you heard the battle of thousand tears?"

Twilight hummed as she put her hand to her chin.

"Well yeah it was a tale of where five great warriors fought along side queen faust but then they vanished as soon as they came...what has to do this with queen faust?" Twilight asked as the two princesses shook there head.

"See twilight I think it is time you learn the truth and you know of our family," She said as twilight titled her head.

"What do you mean? your 'family' wasn't it just your mother?"

Luna smiled.

"Lets tell you about our... brothers,"

Alright this should be a suitable replacement for 'bane of caribou' but beside that I hoped you enjoyed this story and hopefully it won't be removed thanks to this first chapter, next time twilight will meet the remaining brother of Equis's 'kill team'.
