Just to start this off, this is the first fic I've written and I hope its not as bad as I guessed it to be.
Constructive criticism is welcome and wanted. And with that note, enjoy(?) the story! :-)
I'm a bad person. I've done bad things. I've hurt people. I've killed people.
My name is Logan.
I've been running from the police ever since I tried to rob a bank at gun point, hoping that the money would help me start over and leave the country. The robbery went sour, I ended up killing a hostage when they tried to run. My escape vehicle was discovered and disabled.
I managed to escape alive but not without injury, 3 bullet wounds to my left shoulder and a twisted ankle.
But I should probably explain what drove me to this, to robbery and murder.
To put it simply, my life sucked. I was bullied, abused and harassed on a daily basis.
I was attacked constantly and was in and out of the hospital because of it.
My dad was an alcoholic who ran off when I was young and left my mother to care for me.
She was kind mother, always thinking of me, always doing her best to make me happy.
Unfortunately, she died from cancer when I was 16, and as I had no other relatives, I was sent to foster care.
I would prefer not describing what happened in detail, so I will just say it made the shit mountain even bigger.
Getting back to the matter at hand, running with three bullets lodged in your shoulder is very difficult. As well as painful. Did I mention painful?
After running for about 2 hours, I couldn't run anymore.
The police caught up to me. Bleeding out and panicked, I shot at them. They shot back.
I was shot several more times, twice in my right leg, and thrice in my chest.
I knew I was dying, and that even if I didn't die, I would probably spend the rest of my life behind bars.
I was scared,bleeding and when I started coughing up blood I was pretty sure one of the bullets hit my lung.
Seeing no other way out, I pointed the gun to my head, and pulled the trigger.
I have no idea how long I was unconscious, or how long I've been in this darkness since I awoke.
"I'M SO BORED!!" I yell to no one in particular as I continue to drift in the darkness.
"You would think that after so long I would get used to just floating here. Meh, apparently not"
As I continued to float in the darkness, I start to think about what had lead me here.
"Trying to rob a bank? I must have been crazy. Why did I do that?" I raged at myself for my stupidity and was mentally smacking my head against a wall seeing as how there are no walls to do said head smacking.
"I guess I just wanted things to change, was that too much to ask?" I once again yelled at no one in particular.
"If you wanted change, you should have just said something sooner." I heard a voice in the darkness say.
"Who's there?" I asked, hope apparent in my voice seeing as how I had not seen or heard anything since my arrival in this place.
"If its change you want, I can grant that wish." The voice said almost tauntingly.
"What do you mean, grant my wish? Who are you?" I yelled at the voice trying to sound threatening.
"Now, now. No need for such hostilities. I mean I can grant your wish for change. As for who I am, I am known as Discord."
"Why should I trust you?" I asked, once again trying to sound threatening.
"Look, you can take me up on my offer or you can spend the rest of eternity drifting in the blackness that is the afterlife. Your choice." The voice calling itself Discord said in a hurried and impatient tone.
'So I am definitely dead. Thought there would be more to the afterlife.'
"What kind of change are we talking about here? I mean other than this infinite darkness?"
I ask, willing to take the first chance I get to escape this place.
"I mean I will send you to a place of my choosing, in a form of my choosing. And all you'd have to for me is simply be there."
"Pardon?" I ask, confused at his strange comment.
"I am the spirit of chaos, I am offering you a chance at a new life in which your very presence will cause chaos. And as the spirit of chaos, I thrive off the stuff." The voice said matter-of-factly.
"So you're saying your going to send me to a random place, as a random creature, just to cause some chaos for you?"
"Pretty much. Take it or leave it"
I stop to think about this for a moment, on the plus side I get out of this place, get a new life, a new body and maybe even some friends.
On the down side, I don't know what I'll be, where I'll be, if there will even be a sentient race to befriend or if there is a sentient race, would they be friendly to whatever I was going to end up as?
Meh, like floating here is any better. Might as well take the risk, right? Right.
"I will accept your offer, mister 'Discord'. Send me to wherever the hell you're going to send me"
"Gladly."
I heard what sounded like fingers snapping, saw a bright flash of light and lost consciousness.

This is my first fic as a stated at the beggining so all criticism is helpful at this point.
And I mean brutally honest. Not like, "it sucks, you suck." I mean pointing out what's wrong, aka grammer, spelling and just the general shittyness that is my writing. Tear it to pieces.
