And after a few moments Bow now also overrun with emotions turned ran out the door as well flying after his wife.
‘’AND DON’T FUCKING COME BACK!’’ yelled Dash out the door as she grabbed the handle and slammed it shut as hard as she could. Dash immediately turned around and then took a very long and deep breath trying to regain some composure. ‘’Ugh holy shit!’’ she said out loud to herself as she then began running back to her room.
‘’Soarin! We got to fucking fig…..’’ Dash began yelling as she burst through her bedroom door but cut herself off and came to a complete stop as soon as she seen Soarin. That’s just not the case right now, but if I were to guess. ‘’Now?’’ said Dash not prepared for what was to be next. She stood there for several moments thinking about what she wanted to do. ‘’Dash!’’ said Soarin swiftly and sternly, getting Dash’s complete attention. ‘’I’m coming with. And I’m not saying that just because I want to or because I feel that you can’t handle being alone. I’m saying that because I feel morally obligated to do so because I care about you. So I’m not leaving you alone today, and I don’t care if that means I have to fly a mile behind you and that I have to sleep outside your front door. I’m not leaving you!’’
‘’S…Soarin’’ was all Dash could say at first. Her gaze softened just a bit as she found some words. ‘’Fine! You can come along but we are flying in total silence as I just want to hear the wind through my mane and feathers.’’
‘’Thank you so much Dash.’’ Soarin said quietly as he let up his stern gaze and a small soft smile formed upon his lips.

‘’Mom, Dad, it’s me Dash. Can you please open up?’’ Dash called from outside her foalhood home. After a very long flight yesterday and a largely sleepless night Dash had a long time to think about many things including how about this moment was potentially going to go. But as hard as it may be it had to be done. After a few moments of waiting Dash was about to try again until she heard the door unlock and began to open up. On the other side both her parents stood. While neither was crying they were both very red-eyed looking indicating that they had been for a long time, recently even.
‘’Can I come….inside? Please?’’ Dash asked.
‘’Sure thing sweetie.’’ Windy said a bit weakly but with a small smile on her face.
‘’Look mom, dad first I just wanna say that I’m so sorry how I treated you and yelled at you.’’ said Dash as she began apologizing. ‘’It was wrong for me to blow up like did and I feel terrible for doing so. So I’m asking for your forgiveness.’’
‘’Oh honey we forgive you.’’ Windy said as her and Bow both reached out to hug Dash. ‘’Please don’t’ beat yourself up over this. You are a great pony.’’

The demeanor changed quickly. Almost to that of the way they looked when Dash seen them yesterday in her kitchen when she yelled at them. They began fidgeting in place for a few moments.

‘’Well yes there’s that but…..but this also involves him as well.’’ said Windy as her voice trailed off.
‘’Wait what!? What the hell is that supposed to mean!? Do you have something against Soarin!?’’ exclaimed Dash as she was getting more and more upset by the moment!
‘’Dash its nothing like that!’’ blurted Bow quickly trying to diffuse Dash. ‘’I know it doesn’t make sense to you right now but again we promise to tell you everything soon!’’
‘’Okay! Okay! Okay! Fine! Fine!’’ Dash exclaimed in quick succession. ‘’Whats the other thing you want to tell me? And at this point do I really want to know?’’
‘’Look Dash…. The last thing we want to tell you…. But not wanting a repeat of yesterday Dash took in a deep breath and let it out slowly to try and clear her mind if only just a little bit.

‘’Yeah, Yeah okay I got it.’’ said Dash prying herself away from her parents. ‘’Now look I’m in a sour mood now and I just want to go back to my place. So if you don’t mind I will be going now.’’
‘’Why yes of coarse dear. We understand.’’ said Bow. ‘’Goodbye and see you later.’’
‘’Okay see you later.’’ replied Dash as turned around to walk out the door.
‘’Dash, we love you very much!’’ said Windy before Dash made it past the doorway which caused Dash to pause for just a moment.
‘’Yeah I love you too mom and dad.’’ Dash said without turning around and then she flew off. Dash touched down right in front of her penthouse. The short flight provided Dash a little bit of time to calm down a bit and try and process everything her parents said, or the lack of what they said as well. She just couldn’t image what it could possibly be that would be troubling her parts this much and it honestly worried her a bit but she was still hoping for the best. Dash then opened the front door and trotted in.
‘’Soarin I’m back!’’ Dash yelled as she walked in, but before she could get a response she saw him sitting on her couch reading her newest Daring Do book.
‘’Oh hey Dash your back.’’ said Soarin. ‘’I was so nervous and bored at the same time that I had to find something to do so it was either stress-eat a bunch of pie or find a book to read.’’ Soarin chuckled a little bit as he closed the book and set it on the end table as he proceeded to get up and walk towards Dash.
‘’So how’d it go?’’ asked Soarin in a much more serious tone with a nervous worried look on his face. ‘’Were you able to keep your cool and get a successful apology out?’’
‘’Oh yeah I got an apology out! It was all sunshine and rainbows!’’ said Dash sarcastically at first but then continued. ‘’Look, yes I did apologize for what I said to them and what not and they did as well and it all felt sincere. So in other words that ended up being easier than I would have thought.’’
‘’Oh? Well that’s good to hear Dash.’’ said Soarin with a smile. ‘’So then I take it that it was all some huge misunderstanding and that they told you why they did what they did?’’
‘’No.’’ Dash said flatly.
‘’Wait what!? What do you mean Dash?’’ asked Soarin and he was actually quite stunned.
‘’Look I still don’t know what the fuck is going on as they still could not bring themselves to tell me.’’ said Dash to Soarin and then continued. ‘’So I’m so stressed out and mad right now but my parents begged and promised to me that if I just gave them a few days or so that they would then be ready to tell me or something like that.’’
‘’Whoa…. Um that’s weird.’’ said Soarin.
‘’Yeah you fucking think!’’ exclaimed Dash.
‘’Well did they tell you anything? Like anything at all?’’ asked Soarin with a bit of worry in his voice.
‘’Yeah they did tell me a few things, but it just made things more frustrating and quite honestly weirder!’’ said Dash
‘’Uh okay? So what did they say?’’ asked Soarin a bit hesitantly.
‘’Well to keep it short the first thing they said is that this all revolves around a family issue of some sort, and no they didn’t tell me what exactly.’’ said Dash right away know what Soarin would have asked next. ‘’And then this is where it started to get weird. They requested that you be there as well when they explain their actions. And it’s not just because they want to apologize to you but also that it involves you. And no I don’t know why.’’
‘’What!? What the heck does that mean!?’’ asked Soarin who was completely shocked.
‘’Look dude I just said I don’t know other than they said it was a family issue.’’ replied Dash. ‘’But that’s not the craziest part! The last thing they said, or rather that they begged me to comply with until then is that I don’t fuck you.’’
‘’SAY WHAT!?’’ yelled Soarin in total disbelief as his eyes went wide. Had he had a drink right now he would have just done a huge spit take. ‘’WHY!?’’
‘’Look Soarin. Again I don’t know what the hell that’s supposed to mean!’’ exclaimed Dash. ‘’They did say that it doesn’t have to do with you from a personal standpoint or that we spend time together. They said that it too has to with this family issue thing that’s causing them problems. And trust me I’m still just as shocked and confused as you are now!’’ Soarin stood there dumbstruck for several moments trying to process what Dash had just said. He never would have expected this and was unsure how to proceed.
‘’Dash I….I don’t know what to say exactly, but I can see why now how you are still so upset with everything that has happened.’’ said Soarin still trying to wrap his head around this. ‘’I mean I can’t imagine that they still think you were still a virgin or that they are expecting to save yourself for marriage!? I mean at this point who haven’t you fucked!?’’ Soarin froze immediately after the choice of words he just used and quickly attempt to apologize. ‘’Oh shit I’m sorry Dash I didn’t mean to say it like that! ‘’Dang it! What crappy timing for this to happen. I sure hope Dash will be okay!’’ thought Soarin to himself as he was trotting through the Wonderbolts compound back to his office after his gym session was over.
‘’Commander Soarin! Please step into my office.’’ rang out a authoritative demanding voice immediately snapping Soarin out of his thoughts. It was Spitfire, his captain and his friend. He wasn’t really paying attention to the fact that he had just trotted by her office with its door open. Soarin turned around and obediently heeded her request to step inside her office.
‘’Yes Ma’am! What do you need Ma’am?’’ said Soarin in duty bound fashion.
‘’At ease Soarin. I didn’t ask you in here for any procedural reason.’’ said Spitfire calmly.
‘’Oh okay Spitfire.’’ said Soarin as he relaxed.
‘’You know I was hoping that after Dash and her friends defeated that last batch of magical baddies and that after Princess Twilight took over for the two sisters that Dash would no longer have to be pulled from service to have to take care of some conflict.’’ began Spitfire without any provocation. ‘’I mean the most pressing matter is her safety of course. But being that this is Dash were talking about and that Princess twilight and her other Ponyville friends are with her so it’s not something that I’m really concerned with. No the problem is that it disrupts our training routines when she leaves and that ticket and vendor sales suffer significantly when she has to miss a show. Which is always a pain in the flank to deal with. But at least it doesn’t seem to be as frequent as before Twilight took over so that’s a plus.’’
‘’Um yeah. It’s a total bummer.’’ said Soarin. ‘’Part of me whishes that we would be able to come and help, but we unfortunately don’t have any of the rainbow laser powers that she and her friends have.’’
‘’Yes I too wish there was a way for us to be involved.’’ said Spitfire. ‘’However that’s not what we’re here to discuss. I called you in here because I wanted to ask you what’s going on with Dash and not only that but also what’s going on with you?’’
‘’Uh what?’’ asked Soarin.
‘’Cut the crap Soarin!’’ exclaimed Spitfire. ‘’Not only do I see it as captain but also as your friend. Since the beginning of the week you two have been going through the daily motions of your jobs and duties as if on you were on auto pilot. Both of you have been only interacting with others only if they interact with you first, otherwise you’ve been fairly quiet and always seem to be walking around as if you got something important on your mind. Then there’s that fact that you two haven’t hardly been together or saying anything to each other at all this week when most of the time you two are like drunken sailors around each other. Hell I even asked her yesterday if she wanted to go down on me and she said no because she said she wasn’t hungry!’’
‘’Heh not much gets by you does it?’’ said Soarin with a smirk ‘’But it’s a private matter that should work itself out soon.’’
‘’Look Soarin. As I’m both of your friends I would say that I’d respect your privacy, but being that I’m also your captain and that whatever you got going on is clearly effecting you during work hours, that’s where I have to draw the line as it could potentially become a work place hazard, and I am not going to risk your safety let alone other pony’s safety in crucial moments such as during training or more importantly during a show. So in other words, either you tell me what’s going on or I’m grounding you.’’
‘’What!?’’ exclaimed a somewhat flabbergasted Soarin. ‘’Spitfire that’s bull shit and you know it! You’re right both Dash and I have stuff that we are dealing with but you know damn well it’s nowhere near to the point of me being a hazard to others while performing.’’
‘’Soarin relax dude.’’ said Spitfire chuckling at Soarin’s response. ‘’I don’t really think you’d cause an issue and really I’m not asking as a captain but rather as a friend. I want to know what’s going on. And you will tell me as a friend or I will use my power and authority to ground you. You got it?’’
‘’Really Spitfire?’’ asked Soarin as he began to relax. After taking a few moments to think of how he wanted to proceed, Soarin replied. ‘’Okay look I will tell you what the issue is but only a short version and I will be omitting many details due to privacy reasons.’’
‘’Hhhhmmmm.’’ began Spitfire as she stared at Soarin. ‘’Okay fair enough just as long as you tell me what the issue is okay.’’
‘’Thank you.’’ said Soarin. ‘’So you see the reason why we are a bit distracted this week is because this last Saturday an issue arose with me and Dash and her parents. And again I can’t get into the details about what it was exactly about, but in the end it ended with Dash being the angriest I have ever seen her and that she absolutely tore both her parents a new one if ya know what I mean. So anyways a lot of things happened and a lot of things were said and it resulted in a clusterfuck of a weekend. Basically Dash’s parents did something that even by their standards was crazy and totally caught both of us off guard.’’
‘’Huh…. That’s not what I was exactly expecting.’’ Spitfire said with an inquisitive look upon her face. ‘’So all this going on is because something that her parents did? So what was the reason for whatever it is that they did to piss off Dash so badly and have they reconciled yet?’’
‘’Well that’s just it Spitfire.’’ began Soarin. ‘’Dash felt terrible about how she reacted to them and so the next day she went to her parents house to do just that, and I guess the apologizing part went great on both sides. However for whatever reason her parents could not tell her right then as to why they did what they did. Something about how they needed a few days get comfortable with whatever it is that they have to tell her.’’
‘’Huh is that so.’’ said Spitfire. ‘’Well now I both wanna know the details of what you’re talking about and at the same time I probably don’t for the sake of my sanity because this is Dash’s parents we’re talking about here. And If I understand this correctly Dash is waiting to get back to her parents place to hear what they have to say and that’s why both of you have been acting the way you have this week?’’
‘’That would be correct, more or less.’’ replied Soarin.
‘’Well it doesn’t seem to be a major issue so I hope that once Dash has straightened out everything with her parents that everything will be back to normal for you two fairly quickily.’’ said Spitfire.
‘’Uh yeah me too.’’ said Soarin mentally hating himself for not being able to tell Spitfire the full truth. ‘’So is there anything else you need to ask me?’’
‘’No that is all I needed to hear and so you’re good to go.’’ said Spitfire.
‘’Thank you Spitfire.’’ said Soarin as he turned around to leave.
‘’Oh wait! There’s one thing I’d like to ask of you.’’ exclaimed Spitfire before Soarin left.
‘’Yeah, what is it?’’ asked Soarin.
‘’I could certainly use some relief. So do you want to go down on me?’’ asked Spitfire.

‘’Yes Ma’m!’’ came an excited sounding voice of Fleetfoot down the hall from Soarin as he continued to chuckle to himself as he trotted to his office.

‘’Soarin it’s me Dash. I’m back.’’ said Dash as she immediately could hear a flurry of hoof noises from the outside of Soarin’s office door.
‘’Dash you’re finally back!’’ exclaimed Soarin as soon as he opened the door. ‘’It’s been like five or six days now, I was really beginning to get worried!’’
‘’Awe how sweet, but there’s nothing to worry about when it comes to Rainbow Danger Dash!’’ exclaimed Dash as she walked inside and gave Soarin a hug while kicking the door shut behind her.
‘’While that may be true I will always still worry.’’ said Soarin. ‘’But please tell me what happened.’’
‘’Well to be honest the mission while important was itself a bit boring all things considered.’’ said Dash. ‘’The biggest reason it took so long is because we had to go beyond Equestria’s borders and stop a war from breaking out between the Zebricans and Saddle Arabians. I mean overall it was fun and there were some pretty intense moments and I’d love to tell you more of the details later for sure, but anyways we managed to broker peace and also got to threaten them with our rainbow lasers! The worst part though was all the sand…… So, so much sand. And it’s true what they say sand really does get everywhere, EVERYWHERE! And quite honestly it wouldn’t bother me one bit if I never see sand again.’’
‘’Wow that sounds pretty crazy and I can’t wait to hear more about it!’’ said Soarin half excitedly.
‘’Soarin we need to talk.’’ said Dash in low flat tone while looking right at Soarin.
‘’Oh no!’’ gasped Soarin knowing full well what Dash was going to say when she said them words like she had. The world and time around him seemed to stop and the blood in his veins went cold. He knew there was a good chance that this could happen but like Dash had told him earlier he went about the last several days acting and hoping that it wouldn’t happen.
‘’I’m pregnant.’’ said Dash without hesitation.
‘’Oh sweet Celestia Dash! I’m so sorry!’’ exclaimed Soarin as hugged her tightly as tears began streaming down his cheeks. ‘’If there was any way possible for me to undo this I would in an instant!’’
‘’Soarin stop!’’ yelled Dash loud enough to get through to Soarin but just quite enough so that nopony outside would hear. ‘’What’s been done is done and we can’t change that, and please don’t cry as I’ve done more than enough of that myself the last couple days.’’
‘’Oh gosh!’’ said Soarin in bit of shock from what Dash just said as he was doing his best to heed her request. ‘’Dash I should have been there for you when you found out!’’
‘’Again please enough of that.’’ said Dash much softer this time. ‘’Look yeah I do wish you were with me when I first found out, but being alone all the way out there gave me time to think long and hard about, well everything. Me, you, the foal, my career, my future, and much more. Doing so helped me come to terms with this reality.’’
‘’Oh Dash. I just wish there was some way that I could take some….no all of the burdens that have now.’’ said Soarin as he brushed his forehoof through Dash’s mane.
‘’As sweet as that is to hear from you, I’m tougher than you sometimes give me credit for.’’ replied Dash.
‘’Yeah you’re right Dash.’’ said Soarin. ‘’It’s just that theres a part of me that always says that no matter how awesome or how strong and amazing a mare can be that if they have problem or issue that because I’m a stallion I’m obligated to take over that burden as much as possible.’’
‘’Well thanks Soarin. That means a lot to me.’’ said Dash.
‘’Well I suppose now I have to ask what I think is probably the toughest and most important question I have ever asked so far in my life.’’ said Soarin doing his best to compose himself. ‘’Do plan to keep it or are you going to abort it? And before you answer that I have to say that this is your body and your future we’re talking about here so it’s only your decision to make. And as tough as it is for me it’s much more so for you. So if you decide to abort it I will fully stand behind that, but if you decide to keep if I will not only just stand behind that decision but rather I will fully accept fatherhood and do anything and everything in my power to fully support you and the foal regardless of whether or not we are together in the future.
‘’Heh that was what I was expecting to hear from you.’’ said Dash as she stared into eyes, not looking away. ‘’And I have already made my decision. Soarin I’ve decided to keep it.’’
‘’Oh Dash!’’ exclaimed Soarin as he brought her into a tight embrace. Tears began streaming down his face once more. This time however he didn’t even try to hold them back. ‘’I’ve never felt so sad and so happy at the same time before! But I will be the best father ever! I promise you that on my life!’’
‘’Soarin….’’ was all Dash could say as she embraced Soarin back. She didn’t even think to try and stop him from crying. In fact she herself began to shed tears of her own. They both stood in the middle of his office hugging each other in silence for many minutes with the only sound being made being the occasional sniffle from each pony. Though finally after about ten minutes or so they finally broke apart their hug to once again look each other in the eyes.
‘’Soarin there were two major factors that I thought about in making that choice.’’ began Dash. ‘’The first thing I thought about was that overall having a foal isn’t the end of the world. The fact is I’m at a very good point in my life. I have a well established career here in the Wonderbolts and I’m a national hero and I don’t have to worry about my future. I mean I would rather prefer to have a foal ten to fifteen years from now but it is what it is and I’d be lying if I said I was ready to be a mother but now I’m going to have to learn damn quick. And the crappiest part of this is eventually being grounded and stuck just doing administrative duties for Celestia knows how many months. The thought of not being able to perform even if just for a bit just sucks to me.’’
‘’I completely understand Dash.’’ said Soarin. ‘’I too would be lying if I said I was ready to be a father now, but I will do my best to learn how.’’
‘’I just know you will do a great job.’’ said Dash. ‘’The second deciding factor was you, and only you Soarin. And what I mean by that is, had it been anypony, and I mean anypony else that got me pregnant I would have aborted it. Because even though I’m very good friends with many of the other stallions here none of them are as close as we are and none of them have been there for me like you have. I mean that’s why you’ve been number one boy toy for so long now, because I trust you so much. I trust you with my life just like I trust you with helping with this foal.’’
‘’Dash.’’ was all Soarin could say at first as he brought her into another hug. ‘’That means so much to me to hear you say that. Though now my first question is how or when do you plan on telling other ponies?’’
‘’Well now that you’ve mentioned it, some ponies already do know.’’ said Dash she broke apart the hug and Soarin gave her quite a surprised look but she continued on. ‘’My ponyville friends know as I was forced to tell them. And what I mean by that is even the moment we left Canterlot my friends knew there was something wrong with me and they confronted me about it and I just told them that I had a fight with my parents and that I had yet to settle the issue with them. I didn’t tell them about anything else. Anyways telling them just that got them of my case. That is until I found out that I was pregnant. I was an emotional wreck afterwards and there was no hiding the fact that I was in much worse emotional shape than when we had first left from them. So when they pressed me for answers I told them I was pregnant and that you were the father. And boy howdy did they get a shock of a lifetime. I will have to tell you more about it later but now I just want to say that’s all I told them. I didn’t say anything about the circumstances in which it happened other than that it was an accident and I didn’t mention any involvement of my parents. And lastly I made them all Pinkie promise to not tell anypony else for the time being so we don’t have to worry about them leaking the news. But to answer your question I’m not entirely sure. First I have to deal with my parents and then I suppose tell them the news and tell your parents next. But after that I’d like to hold off telling anypony else especially holding off on telling the public.’’
‘’Huh well okay I guess that all makes sense.’’ said Soarin after taking in everything Dash just said. ‘’But I guess my next question is how are going to proceed with the Wonderbolts?’’
‘’Well I thought about that too already.’’ replied Dash. ‘’And since there’s only about two and a half months left of this season I should have no problem finishing the season before the pregnancy gets to far along and I’d be sure to take it a bit easier in the last few weeks just to be on the safe side. And now that I think of it that’s at least how long I’d like to wait until I’m ready to tell everypony the news. That way we don’t have all the press distractions before the end of the season.’’
‘’Well that decision does make me a bit uneasy.’’ said Soarin. ‘’But I think you are technically correct, however we have to tell Spitfire.’’
‘’Soarin I’d rather not as I can’t imagine how well she’d take the news.’’ said Dash.
‘’NO DASH!’’ said Soarin very sternly yet gently. ‘’First of all she knows about your parent issue. She called me out right after you left and I was forced to tell her. But don’t worry I did mention anything about sex and I just said that you had a major argument with your parents with me present and that you had yet to work it out. So secondly I doubt you’d be able to go to long without her eventually finding out. But that’s not the only reason Dash. It’s also a safety issue. Like you said I’m sure you will be fine but I am not letting you take any unnecessary risks with this. So it doesn’t matter if you want to tell her or not because I will.’’
‘’Oh Soarin you’re too good for this world you know that.’’ said Dash with a small smirk. ‘’Yeah your right about that so let go tell her now. The sooner the better.’’
‘’Thank you Dash.’’ said Soarin as he was able to relax a bit. ‘’And yeah lets’ just get this over with now as I just know Spitfire is not going to like this news one bit.’’
‘’Yeah you said it. I think I’m already having second thoughts.’’ said Dash as they left Soarin’s office.

And so I’ve never looked into it again since and I decided years ago that my mom Golden Skies and my father Thunder Streak are my true parents, even if not technically by blood. There I hope that is more than enough of an answer for you guys.’’
‘’Hmmm that sounds about like what we were expecting you to say Soarin.’’ said Bow intently.
‘’Wait really!?’’ exclaimed Soarin in a bit of shock.
‘’Yes really.’’ responded Bow.
‘’Aright what’s going on!?’’ exclaimed Soarin again this time for the first time his temper was starting to raise as this was beginning to upset him like it had been for Dash. ‘’What does this have to do with Dash or me or anything else for that matter and what’s with these cryptic questions? I mean why are you asking about this now? I mean your acting like you knew them or something…….WAIT! Did you know them!? Is that what this is partially about!?’’
‘’Uhhh We…well you s…see…’’ began Bow stuttering his speech as he was surprised Soarin was already making a connection. ‘’The truth i…is that Yes, yes you could kind of say that.’’
‘’WHAT!?’’ exclaimed both Soarin and Dash at the same time, but Soarin was the first to continue. ‘’You knew my biological parents!? So tell me do you still know them to this day!?’’
‘’Yes you could more or less say we did, and also yes you also could say that we do.’’ said Bow while gazing down at his own hooves.
‘’Really!? How!? No wait are they still here in Equestria!?’’ asked Soarin quickly.
‘’Well yes.’’ replied Bow.
‘’Are they still here in Cloudsdale!?’’ exclaimed Soarin not sure if he was truly excited of not.
‘’Well technically they are.’’ replied Bow again, but this time softer.
‘’Really!? Where!? Can you tell me where they are!?’’ asked Soarin enthusiastically.
‘’Well ummm….’’ Bow began but trailed off and went silent as he turned and looked at Windy.
‘’Enough of this cryptic crap!’’ exclaimed Dash getting fed up with her parents lack of straight answers. ‘’Just stop dancing around the questions and just answer our questions, please!’’
‘’Well…. The truth is....’’ Bow began but paused for moment before continuing. ‘’Is that they are here.’’
‘’What!? They are here waiting for me!?’’ exclaimed Soarin.
‘’NO!’’ yelled Bow quickly before Soarin could ask more questions and after he knew he got back their attention continued. ‘’They….they are right here in this room!’’
‘’What!?’’ exclaimed Soarin as he turned his head back and forth trying to spot anypony else in the room with them. ‘’What do you mean I don’t see anypony else here?’’
‘’Yeah dad what the hell are you going on about!?’’ exclaimed Dash now getting more upset. ‘’Just spill it and tell us already!’’
‘’We are! I said that because we are……we are…..’’ began Bow in response but the final words were getting stuck in his throat, but as he tried making the words work Windy cut in to finish it.
‘’It’s because we are Sky Fissure and Meadow Breeze!’’ yelled Windy as she started crying.
‘’Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Hold up!’’ exclaimed Soarin as he and Dash were taken aback in complete surprise. ‘’What are you saying!? Are you telling me that you…..you’re…..’’
‘’YES! WE ARE YOUR PARENTS! YOUR BIOLOGICAL PARENTS! YOU ARE OUR SON!’’ yelled Windy cutting Soarin off as tears began rapidly flowing down her cheeks.
‘’WHAT!?’’ yelled both Soarin and Dash in unison as they then both froze in complete and total shock as to what they just had heard. Both their immediate internal reactions to all the implications running through their minds caused them both go completely numb in an instant. As if their very souls had left their bodies or as if everyone they’d know and loved just died. Their bodies began to quiver and tremble as they were doing everything in their power to process what they had just heard.
‘’C…come again? You…..you wanna run that by me again?’’ asked Soarin weakly as he struggled to get words out.
‘’It’s true Soarin!’’ exclaimed Bow as tears began to trickle down his cheeks as well as he rambled on. ‘’We are... or rather we were a long time ago Sky Fissure and Meadow Breeze! You are our son! And Dash… Dash is your sister! Which is why… WHY WE DID WHAT WE DID THE OTHER THE OTHER DAY!’’
‘’NO!... NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!’’ yelled Dash. ‘’THIS CAN’T BE!?’’
‘’I’m so sorry sweetie but it is!’’ sobbed Windy as then everything went silent for a few moments as Dash’s face began to contort with various emotions until anger shot forth.
‘’NO! NO IT IS NOT! YOU’RE JUST TRYING TO PULL SOME KIND OF PRANK ON US!’’ screamed Dash convinced that this was all some kind of hoax.
‘’No Dash we’d never do that to you!’’ exclaimed Windy.
‘’NO MOM! YOU ARE! THIS HORSE SHIT! THIS IS SOME SICK FUCKING JOKE THAT YOU’RE TRYIN PULL ON US YOU… YOU FUCKING BITCH!’’ screamed Dash in complete disbelief, shock, and rage.
‘’RAINBOW DASH YOU DO NOT TALK TO YOUR MOTHER LIKE THAT!’’ screamed Bow at Dash which despite her completely clouded mindset at that moment cause Dash to pause and reel back. ‘’YOU KNOW DAMN WELL WE EOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS AS A JOKE!’’
‘’I...’’ began Dash but she was stuck frozen in more shock as she had never heard her father ever yell at her like that. And the look in his eyes despite the tears still flowing told her that he as well as her mother were indeed not joking or lying. While she could not get herself to say anything yet she did slump backwards into the chair and remained staring in shock towards her parents.
‘’Dash please, we never meant for any of this to happen and we are so, so sorry!’’ said Bow back in his gentle yet saddened voice. And then he turned to Soarin. ‘’And Soarin we are so sorry that you too had to find out like this!’’
‘’I… I don’t… I don’t know what to think right now.’’ said Soarin after being in silent shock for awhile. His body was still shaking and he was having a real hard time believing what he was just told. ‘’You’re Dash’s parents so I should believe you but… but at the same time theres a part of me that… that wants to smash your face in for lying to me.’’
‘’SOARIN PLEASE!’’ pleaded Windy while still crying hard. ‘’We didn’t mean for this to happen! Please be just mad at me as well as I’m equally at fault!’’
‘’I… I want to know… I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING!’’ exclaimed Soarin. ‘’From the very beginning! And you will tell me now!’’
‘’Yes! Yes we will!’’ cried Windy. ‘’We will tell you everything! Just please promise or at the very least try to listen to everything first before acting on any impulses!’’
‘’I can’t guarantee anything right now but I… I will do my best to hold back for now!’’ said Soarin sternly as he tried regaining some semblance of composure. ‘’But you had better tell the full truth!’’
‘’Yes we will!’’ exclaimed Bow. ‘’And please Dashie you too! Please do your best to hear us out!... Dashie?... Dash, sweetie!?’’
‘’Honey please say something!’’ begged Windy as Dash sat there remaining silent while just staring blankly as if completely out of it mentally, which now finally caught Soarin’s attention as well.
‘’Dash!’’ exclaimed Soarin in a somewhat calm tone as he reached over and grabbed a hold of her shoulder and gave her a light shake.
‘’Uh what?’’ said Dash weakly as she began to snap back into reality.
‘’Dash! You have to focus! You have to be strong!’’ said Soarin intently.
‘’But I… But we…’’ Dash began sputtering.
‘’I know Dash. This is hard… Harder for you than me even.’’ said Soarin gently yet firmly. ‘’But just like Spitfire says about before going into battle, we must wait to hear all the facts and information beforehoof lest we fly into battle blindly and make bad mistake which make a bad situation worse! So can you do that? Be brave with me and face this head on?’’
‘’I…’’ sputtered Dash at first as raw emotions were still running rampant through her mind, but upon hearing what Soarin had said and seeing the very stern confident yet pleading gaze being bestowed upon her caused her to snap out of the daze that she was in as she began to think much more clearly about the situation they were in. ‘’Soarin this is so hard. But your right and… and I will do my best’’
‘’I know Dash and I’ll be right here beside you okay.’’ said Soarin reassuringly as he rubbed her shoulder for a few seconds before letting go and turning back to face Bow and Windy. ‘’Alright now talk.’’
‘’Yes of course.’’ said Bow quickly. ‘’So this all starts with… ummm… oh sweet Celestia how and where do I even begin?’’
‘’Honey l…let me start this.’’ said Windy as she had now stopped shedding tears for the time being.
‘’Are… are you sure?’’ asked Bow a bit worriedly.
‘’Yes dear, I think it’s for the best that I start this from the beginning.’’ said Windy.
‘’Okay if you say so honey.’’ replied Bow as they both turned to face Dash and Soarin.
‘’Look Dash this all starts way before you were even born. In fact it starts a little while before even Soarin was conceived.’’ said Windy as both Dash and Soarin stared at her intently as she continued. ‘’As Dash already knows, Bow and I were both born to single mothers living on the south side. Which as you know isn’t the greatest place in Cloudsdale as you know, especially thirty to forty years ago. Both our mothers struggled with booze and drugs and subsequently resulted in us both being in and out of various foster homes. It was one of these homes that we both first met. While it wasn’t love at first sight, we did quickly become great friends and we looked out for each other and helped each other get though school and what not.’’
‘’And so this next part now is what Dash doesn’t know about us.’’ continued Windy as she notices both Dash and Soarin are listening carefully yet both are completely void of showing any emotion. ‘’While we’d like to think of ourselves as good ponies overall growing up the fact is growing up in that environment led us to make bad decisions what with no proper parenting and no bits and all that. So once we finished school we were essentially two broke young adults with no jobs and no bits and no place to call our own. We were already hooked on drugs and alcohol while in school and we knew that the dealers made good money doing it so with us being desperate we decided to try it.’’
‘’No this can’t be…Why?’’ exclaimed Dash weakly.
‘’Dash we were not proud to be making that decision but you have to understand the position we were in at the time.’’ said Bow as he continued on. ‘’We didn’t make this decision lightly or just on a whim. We promised each other we’d only do this long enough to get out of total poverty so that we could start a normal life by the time we started a family. So we started dealing cocaine. I did all the running, delivering the goods and picking up the bits while your mother did the scouting and making sure nopony we’d be dealing with was a cop. And about once a week or so we would both make a trip to our broker on the north side and pick up the next load. So once we got the process down we were all of a sudden making bits. Lots and lots of bits, or at the very least a lot by our standards at the time, but still we were beginning to make a living.’’
‘’However after doing so much work for several months we found out quickly that we had hit a ceiling in regards to how many bits we could possibly bring in on a given week.’’ said Bow while shifting his tone a bit as he too noticed that both Dash and Soarin were sitting there while silently listening intently. ‘’We didn’t want to get involved with any of the local gangs so there was only so much we could possibly do just by ourselves where we were at. So I asked our supplier one day that we wanted to better and asked what we could do differently. He told us that it was all due to location and that it’s just because there just isn’t that many ponies there with lots of bits that are not part of the gangs there. So he said we’d have to go to a richer part of Cloudsdale.’’
‘’And that’s when we made our first major life decision.’’ said Windy taking over the explanation. ‘’I had asked him how we could do that? While we did have some bits saved up, making that kind of move without any connections would probably get us broke quickly. We luckily for us our supplier liked us and liked our hustle and hard work we were doing so gave deal that if we made the move to the west side which as you know is the more wealthier side of the city, that he’d give us some of his contacts there in which they’d have us prove our worth. So we did it.’’
‘’But only under one condition!’’ blurted Bow quickly.
‘’Yes dear I was getting to that.’’ replied Windy. ‘’We wanted to maintain a low profile as possible. We didn’t want anypony connecting us as to who we are and where we were from, mainly because we didn’t want to be connected to our friends and family in any way. Which thinking back about it is kind of silly as we didn’t really have much for close friends or family, but regardless we wanted to maintain a low of profile as possible.’’
‘’Which is when we became Sky Fissure and Meadow Breeze.’’ said Bow flatly as he saw visibly shocked reactions show up on both Dash and Soarin’s faces. ‘’When we moved we legally changed our names and we dyed out coat, mane, and tails too different colors and we used all of the bits we had saved up to rent a decent apartment on the west side. Thus effectively starting a new life.’’
‘’It was really hard for the first few months.’’ said Windy continuing on. ‘’But just like the first time we got a hang of it and again started raking in the bits like never before. Though after several more months we again we hit a ceiling as to how much we were making because again we were trying to maintain a low profile and we could only do so much because a lot of the west side is controlled by the mafia which we very much wanted to keep our distance from. Though we initially were okay with that limit as we still would be able to get where we wanted, it’s just that I would take a bit longer. However again it was our supplier how helped us out and said that he needed more ponies to bring in shipments of cocaine from various distribution centers and in our case from Las Pegasus. We knew it’d be a bit riskier but we were doubling the bits we made a week by doing so. We’d fly to Las Pegasus and pick up several bricks of coke and fly back to our distributor and get paid for our work as well as take our portion to sell locally.’’
‘’Oh how things were going so well then.’’ Bow chimed in. ‘’We felt like we had finally really made it. We were able to do things that we had only dreamt of doing before. We could easily afford to go shopping for nice furniture and clothing, go to nice restaurants and clubs, go to any sporting events, etcetera. I mean don’t get me wrong we were still saving up most of the bits we earned, but for the first time ever we got to live like most ponies strived to live. Which umm leads us to you Soarin because umm after a coke and boozed filled party night, me and Windy umm ended up having a more passionate love making session than we had intended. In other words we accidentally conceived you.’’
‘’But you were a happy accident!’’ blurted Windy quickly as she seen Soarin’s reaction at that revelation. He was completely shocked. Well he had always figured that, that was most likely had been the case given how young he was when he was put up for adoption, but still hearing it now and for the exact reasons with the given circumstances still complete shook him to the core. And Dash for her part to looked more visibly shocked but still was unable to do or say anything. ‘’Look we were shocked and scared when we first found out I was pregnant but after a little while we not only came to accept it but also embrace it. We quickly became thrilled at starting a family. And so having made our decision we vowed to give you the best future possible which meant that we would have to get out of the dealing business sooner than later so as to not to ever have you know about it after you’d be born. We promised that we’d continue doing it for two maybe three years maximum at which point we figured we have so many bits that we’d be able to quit the drug trade and buy a nice house completely and both of us could go to college or whatever for awhile and eventually find great jobs after words and still not have to worry about bits. So in other words we’d be able to live comfortably for the foreseeable future all while providing you with the best foalhood possible.’’
‘’And for awhile we did just that.’’ added Bow. ‘’For the next several months things were going great for us. We were making it work and we stuck to the same formula that made it work and we thought that for sure we’d make it. But that was until it didn’t.’’
‘’I was just over ten months pregnant with you when our world was turned upside down.’’ said Windy. ‘’That day was one of the worst days of our lives. Somehow we got caught. To this day we don’t exactly know how the police found out about us but they did. We ended up losing just about everything that day. We lost our apartment and everything in it. We lost a lot of our bits as well, though not all if it as we had them stashed in many places but still lost a lot. Then worst of all we got split up as mares and stallions as you know have separate prisons. The only other somewhat lucky thing about when were arrested is that when they caught us we had already sold most of our weekly load so we didn’t have that much cocaine on us. But since we were still charged as being dealers we ultimately were hooved down five year prison sentences.’’
‘’Which then leads us to the worst day of our lives.’’ said Windy solemnly as she gauged the shocked reactions of Dash and Soarin to the revelation of their imprisonment. ‘’The day that you were born Soarin was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives, but instead it was to be the worst. We were still just in jail at the time waiting for our sentencing to be passed so at the very least they did let Bow be with me for your birth which made the worse day ever be a little bit easier. We were still so ecstatic the moment you were born and believe me we immediately loved you with every fiber of our being. And then the doctors and the police let us have some private time with you, during which we ended up having to make the hardest decision of our lives.’’
‘’Holding you within our hooves was the greatest feeling ever at that time.’’ said Bow. ‘’And we never wanted that moment to end, but we knew the reality of the situation at hoof and the fact was we were bad ponies for what we did and that we were going to be in prison for quite awhile. So we talked everything over and the fact is we had no close family or friends that we thought would be willing to take you in let alone provide you with a decent foalhood living experience. And we absolutely did not want to have you end up in various foster care homes like we were in. So we came to hard conclusion that the only way that we would be best able to most likely insure that you have the best life possible was to eliminate us from the equation completely and have you put up for adoption. And believe me we absolutely did not want to do that but we had no other choice!’’
‘’That day was a nightmare for me!’’ exclaimed Windy as she began to cry. ‘’I was a wreck for months after that. It felt like torture on my soul for so long.
‘’It was for me too.’’ said Bow while doing his best to hold back tears. ‘’But we were so relieved to hear that you were adopted within a week but we were still scared about your well being. And also on that day right after they took you from us we made a vow to become better ponies… the best ponies we could possibly be and never get into anything illicit ever again. And further more we made a vow that if we were still in love with each other we got out of prison, which thank Celestia we were, that we the next time we had a foal we would do everything right and do everything in our power to insure that we gave them the best foalhood that anypony could possibly give. And then shortly after that day we were sent to our prisons down in Canterlot for the next 5 years.’’
‘’And… and like Bow said. Thank Celestia we still loved each other after all that time.’’ said Windy as her crying had let up. ‘’It was such a rush to be finally out of prison and to finally be back together in your Fathers embrace. So after we were out and back home, Bow left Cloudsdale right away and changed his name back to Bow Hothoof and found a job in some earth pony town working at a factory. We had quite a few bits stashed away already but we wanted to get to a normal life as fast as possible which meant for us was getting enough bits to go towards a decent house as we didn’t want to be stuck renting. As for me well I had no place to go so I was in a mares home for the homeless which wasn’t a much better experience than prison but luckily it was only for about six months until Bow had gotten me a job at the same factory he was at, so I too left Cloudsdale and changed my name back to Windy Whistles.’’
‘’It was so wonderful to be finally living back together after so many years.’’ said Bow continuing on. ‘’We worked so hard and for such long hours at that factory so we could get out of there as fast as possible and get back to Cloudsedale. In which we did. After just several months we figured we had enough combined bits to be able to afford the down payment to a decent home and with the factory experience we had we managed to get decent paying factory jobs back here in Cloudsdale. So we came back and put our bits down on the very house we are in now.’’
‘’Oh how it was such a wonderful feeling.’’ continued Windy. ‘’We felt like we had truly made it this time. And with having done it without having to rely on doing something wrong….. granted a good portion of our bits were from what we did before but that’s just a minor detail as the fact is we were working super hard pay check to pay check making our new life work. So much so that within just a few months I felt that it was time to try again at stating a family. And this time while not doing anything illegal. On the one hoof part of us felt that it was too soon but on the other hoof it was just over 6 years since you were born and I was constantly fighting depression since the day we were forced to give you up and I just knew having a foal would help alleviate that pain. And so after a lovely, wonderful night of love making, Dashie here was conceived.’’
‘’The Day our little Dashie was born was the second time we had a bittersweet happiest day of our lives.’’ added Bow. ‘’We were so elated when she was born and yet so sad that you Soarin weren’t here as part of the family. However we did keep our vows that we made the day we gave you up in that we kept our promise that we’d turn our lives around and that we would do everything in our power to ensure that our next foal had a great upbringing and that they would succeed in whatever they wanted to do. Which I’m sorry and embarrassed to admit Dash but it’s that very reason why we act….. the way we do around you. We’ve overly praised you and pushed you towards your goals the way we have because of that promise. So I guess we’re sorry for being overbearing or too much at times but now you know the reason why.’’
‘’And so now you know the full truth.’’ said Windy ‘’But there is one more thing Soarin. On the day you were born just before they took you away we asked for one thing, and that was we wanted to have a picture taken of us together for us to keep. That way we would have something to remember you by and also to serve as extra motivation for us to become better ponies and to for fill our promises. And well they did which did help us get through them tough five years in prison. And so now I think you should see it’’ said Windy as she reached over the end table and pulled the drawer out and retrieved a photograph and hoofed it to Soarin.
‘’I… I don’t…’’ began Soarin but he couldn’t find the words to what he wanted to say at first as he was still reeling in shock. As until he was given that photograph there was still some hope in the back of his mind that this was still some elaborate ruse, but sitting there in his uncontrollably shaking hooves the picture that confirmed everything they had said and he knew now that there was no chance that they were not telling him the truth as there he was as a newborn colt held in the legs of Windy his….. his mother and Bow his….. father next to windy hugging her. And at that point in time their natural coat colors were returning from the last dye job they had gotten before getting caught. Soarin felt utterly broken and as he looked over to Dash who could also see the picture also looked white as a ghost. He had so many questions swimming around in his brain but it was tough to find which one to say first until finally one of the most important ones came to him. ‘’Why… why have you never come to me and told me this?..... Why in all these years did you never… never come find me?..... You say you loved me and that you hated letting me go, so why….. why did you not ever try to come back for me!?’’
‘’Soarin we wanted to! We wanted to so badly all this time!’’ exclaimed Windy as she began tearing up again.
‘’But you didn’t! Why!?.’’ asked Soarin desperately.
‘’We… we just couldn’t!’’ cried Windy. ‘’When we discovered how well you were growing up and being raised we felt too ashamed to even attempt to bring ourselves into your life!’’
‘’What!? That doesn’t make any sense!’’ yelled Soarin.
‘’Soarin please! That was just the short answer! It’s much more complicated than that!’’ exclaimed Bow.
‘’Well then let me hear it! I want to know everything!’’ exclaimed Soarin as he wanted all of the truths.
‘’Yes, yes! We will!’’ exclaimed Bow. ‘’Though Windy would be the best to explain the first part’’
‘’Yes I most certainly will!’’ said Windy while doing her best to hold back her crying. ‘’Right after we were freed, and just after Bow had left Cloudsdale to get that job I started looking for you. Even though we believed that you most likely were doing just fine we needed to know for sure, and not only that we wanted to know your name as it hurt emotionally not knowing. So I first went to the office of the lead social worker who handled your adoption process and asked about where you were. But due to the privacy laws when we gave you up she could not tell us who adopted you and not even your name, not until you were at least eighteen a legal adult. I was devastated at first. I mean I get that they don’t want a crazy pony going after a foal that they had given up but still that’s not something we’d do. But I kept on pleading and begging trying to convince her otherwise but to no avail. At least not directly, I’m not sure if she took pity on me or if it was an accidental slip but just before she asked me to leave she told me that I had nothing to worry about and that your adoptive parents were very good ponies that were well off so you would most certainly would have a great upbringing. So that told me that you must have been adopted by someponies whom were either upper middle class or richer. Which that significantly narrows down the search provided they were still in Cloudsdale.’’
‘’So with that information I proceeded to go looking for you.’’ said Windy continuing on. ‘’Being that you were about six years old at that time and that supposedly your adoptive parents were wealthy I figured that most likely you were enrolled in one of the private schools in Cloudsdale. So for the next couple weeks I was checking out all the private schools waiting to see if I could see you go in or leave from one of the schools. I did that every day for awhile until one day it finally happened, I seen from a distance a light blue with navy blue maned colt that looked the correct age. I couldn’t believe my eyes at what I was seeing but while I didn’t know for sure it was you I just knew that it was. I watched you leave the school and seen you get into a fancy looking carriage. So naturally I followed that carriage until I got to the gated community in which you know very, very well. I knew there was no way I would be able to get in so I waited a few moments after you got though and then I flew in and trotted on by the security guard stationed out front and as casually as I could I asked who’s carriage that was and by the grace of Celestia he told me that it was owned by Thunder Streak. So then I flew to Cloudsdale’s central library as fast as I could so I could go through the newspaper archives in hopes that I could quickly find out something. And wow, did I ever. I ended up finding out just about everything I wanted to know.’’
‘’I quickly found out that your adoptive father was the founder of Clouds R’us Insurance and so I started looking at anything related six years prior.’’ said Windy as she continued on. ‘’And after a little bit of searching I finally found a news letter report from the company stating that due to Thunder Streak’s wife Golden Skies inability to conceive foals due to a bad fillyhood accident that they had gone forth with adopting a newborn colt to be their first, and ultimately only foal into their family. And that colts’ name was…..Soarin. Finding that out was the happiest moment of my life since the moment you were born. I was so excited at the revelation that I could hardly contain myself. And at the very least I was happy knowing that you were given such a beautiful and fitting name. However even though it had seemed that you were in a great family environment, I wanted to confirm that firsthoof. So a few days later when I had gained enough courage I had waited outside for school to be done, and I had once again seen your family’s carriage pull up and your adoptive father stepped out to wait for you. Once the bell had rung and all the colts and fillies started piling out the front door I made my move. I flew in and started trotting on by Thunder Streak and purposefully accidentally ran into him by mistake. I had quickly apologized and said it was all my fault and what not and he said something like that it was quite alright. So then I had introduced myself with some made up name just in case he knew of my original name, and then the he introduced himself as Thunder Streak which at that point I acted surprised at that fact and told him that I knew of him because I had a few shares of his company’s stock. So we chatted for a few moments until you trotted by us to get into the carriage. Oh sweet Luna how I just wanted to reach out and grab you, to hug you, feel you, to take you with me. You were so close to me that it just hurt so much, but you looked so happy. So after you had gotten in I changed the subject and had asked Thunder if that was his son Soarin. He was a bit taken aback by the question and I said I’d seen in mentioned in his company bio page, and then I asked to affirm that you were adopted. At first he was apprehensive that I asked that, but I said I meant no ill will and that you seemed to be such a wonderful colt. Which then he relaxed and had said yes that you were adopted but that, that technicality meant nothing to him or his wife as you were the greatest joy in their lives and that they would always be your loving parents no matter what. And that was all the confirmation that I needed to know that you were having a wonderful life with a proper loving family. I was so happy and yet…. And yet so devastated at the same time.’’ said Windy as she began to cry a bit more again as Bow spoke up to explain what she had meant by that.
‘’What Windy means by that is after that encounter, when she finally met up with me and told me everything she had found out about you and including describing that encounter she had with your adoptive father, we spent all night talking it over and we came to the conclusion that we just could not bring ourselves to force ourselves into your life. You were doing so well and had it made, and we were poor screw ups fresh from prison that had let you go in the first place. We felt terrible and embarrassed and we did not want to put any unnecessary turmoil into the perfect family you already had. So our plan at the time was we would let you grow up the way you already had been and that some day when you became an adult we would then come forth somehow and introduce ourselves.’’ said Bow as he continued to explain. ‘’However in the mean time we have always been close to you Soarin. We always kept our distance but we would check up on you all the time. Mainly seeing how you were when you were either dropped off or picked up from school and we would do that a few times a month. And as you got older we figured you’d take after me and get into sports which you did, and did very well. So by the time you got into the high school hoofball team, we came to just about every home game there was to cheer you on. It was such a bittersweet wonderful time watching you grow up into a young stallion while at the same time raising our ever wonderful daughter Rainbow Dash whom was proving to be every bit as athletic as you were. It was so happy and so sad for us at the same time. Anyways we had planned on trying to get a hold of you within a year or so of you graduating but right after you did you disappeared. That worried us a bit as we had no idea where you had gone. We had figured you would have taken the scholarship offer to the Cloudsdale University that we know you had gotten but you didn’t. Then came one of the biggest shocks of our lives, you finally returned several months later as a Wonderbolt! We were so shocked and so thrilled at the same time. Even though we ourselves had never gotten into loving and watching the Wonderbolts we still knew how amazing and an honor it was that our son had gotten in. Especially since our little Dashie was already completely enamored by the Wonderbolts herself.’’
‘’While we were so overjoyed that you had become a Wonderbolt, it also proved to be problematic for us as well.’’ said Windy as she continued on. ‘’It made us scared to want approach you again as now that you were this rich and now famous pony. We thought that you would immediately push us away and think that we only wanted to get a hold of you just for your fortune and fame. So because of that we again decided to wait, and also we had a good feeling that Rainbow Dash would someday make the team as well so we figured that we’d wait a bit and see if that would indeed happen and if it were too it would make it easier to find an opportune time to come out it with. And wow were we ever surprised, as just like you we had no idea that she even tried out to become a Wonderbolt let alone becoming one. And I know it may be hard to believe but since Dash had become a Wonderbolt as well we were planning on coming out very soon to tell you I swear on Celestia herself. We were just waiting until Dash was fully adjusted into the Wonderbolts and for the most opportune moment, which for us we were planning on something during you next off season which is coming up very soon. But then this all happened….. If only we would have done it during the last off season none of this would have happened! We were so close on doing so to but we didn’t.’’
‘’So look Dash, Soarin we are so, so sorry about all of this.’’ began Bow. ‘’Had we known that this situation even had remote chance of happening we would have came forth immediately and stopped it! Even if we weren’t ready to tell you yet we would have done so no matter what. We can’t even begin to imagine how you must feel right now and how much worse it’s going to be for the next several weeks or even months knowing that whatever type of relationship you two have at this point that it will have to be nullified from here on out. And again we are so, so, sooooo sorry you two! And this may not be easy to hear right now but the fact is in a little bit of time you don’t need to feel too bad about it okay? As you both had no idea so you have nothing to feel ashamed about where as us on the otherhoof will feel shamed for the rest of our lives as this is not something we as parents should have never let happen. And at the end of the day nothing that bad has happened and we are all in good health and if you casually break off your relationship to the others around you nopony should ever find out about this as we won’t tell anypony else. Alright everypony?’’
‘’No…’’ said Dash finally saying something after being silent for so long, but now tears began streaming down her cheeks.
‘’What is it honey?’’ asked Windy.
‘’No… No… NO… NO… NO!... NO!... NONONONONONONONOOOOOOOO!!!’’ yelled Dash repeatedly.
‘’Dashie what is it!?’’ asked Windy again as she was becoming very concerned.
‘’NO IT’S NOT ALRIGHT! IT NEVER WILL BE NOW!’’ Dash yelled out loud. ‘’MY LIFE IS RUINED FOREVER!’’
‘’Dash sweetie, what’s wrong? What’s the issue!?’’ exclaimed Bow now getting a bit scared now.
‘’TODAY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A GREAT DAY, AND NOW IT’S LIVING HELL!’’ Dash yelled out frantically.’’
‘’Dash what’s wrong!? What happened!?’’ pleaded Bow. ‘’Please tell us what the problem is!’’
‘’WHAT’S WRONG!? WHAT’S WRONG YOU ASK!?’’ Dash began yelling hysterically. ‘’WELL LET ME TELL YOU WHAT’S WRONG!’’
‘’Dash honey please calm down!’’ begged Windy.
‘’HOW CAN I CALM DOWN!?’’ yelled Dash as tears were pouring out her eyes now. ‘’WHEN I KNOW THAT I’M PREGNANT, AND I FIND OUT THE FATHER TURNS OUT TO ALSO BE MY BROTHER!’’
‘’WHAT NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!’’ screamed Windy.
‘’NO IMPOSSIBLE!!!’’ yelled Bow.
‘’AND IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT!’’ cried Dash.
‘’WHAT!? HOW!?’’ exclaimed Bow as tears began streaming down his cheeks and Windy next to him was sobbing uncontrollably.
‘’WHEN YOU BARGED INTO MY ROOM DURING OUR SEX!’’ yelled Dash. ‘’WHILE I WAS BUSY YELLING AT YOU FOR RUINING MY PRIVATE TIME SOARIN ACIDENTALLY CAME INSIDE! AND I WAS IN HEAT!’’
‘’AHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO’’ screamed Windy as she fumbled her way towards Dash and grabbed a hold of her all while she continued to sob uncontrollably. ‘’NO! NO! NO! NO! MY POOR DAUGHTER! OH GODDES WE’VE RUINED OUR DAUGHTERS LIFE! AND OUR SONS! OH SWEET CELESTIA WE’RE THE WORST PARENTS EVER!’’
‘’NO MY SWEET LITTLE ANGLE! I’VE FAILED YOU FATHER!’’ yelled Bow as he too ran over to Dash and hugged her tightly as he was now sobbing uncontrollably as well. ‘’I’M SO SORRY MY BABY FILLY! I DESERVE TO BURN IN HELL!’’
‘’NO! GET OFF OF ME! GET AWAY FROM ME!’’ cried Dash loudly as she tried to break free from her parents grasp.
‘’DASHIE PLEASE! WE ARE SO SORRY! WE NEVER MEANT FOR ANY OF THIS!’’ cried Windy desperately trying to hold on to her daughter.
‘’NO! I WANT TO GO! I WANT… I WANT TO… GET THE FUCK OFF OF ME I WANT TO GO!’’ screamed Dash as loud as she could as she finally ripped herself from her parents grasp and jumped away from her parents and towards the door.
‘’DASHIE NO!’’ screamed Windy as she reached out to try and grab Dash but to no avail. Dash had whipped open the door and ran down the hallway until she reached her foalhood bedroom in which she flung the door open and ran inside. The 3 remaining ponies herd the door slam shut.
‘’MY POOR BABY! I’VE RUINED MY BABY!’’ cried Windy hysterically as she began shaking and hyperventilating. ‘’NO! NO! NO! DEAR LUNA THIS JUST CAN’T BE HAPPENING!’’
‘’OH GODDES WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO!’’ cried Bow as he tried to bring his wife into his embrace.
‘’NO! NO! NO! I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!’’ screamed Windy as she ripped herself from Bows’ grasp.
‘’WINDY WAIT!’’ exclaimed Bow as he watched his crying wife run out the room and down the hall towards their bedroom and after a moment the two ponies remaining herd that door slam shut as well. With Windy now gone it was just him… and Soarin.
‘’OH SOARIN, CELESTIA HELP ME I AM SO SORRY!’’ yelled Bow while still bawling his eyes out. He turned towards Soarin but stopped short of trying to embrace him as he wasn’t sure if it was appropriate, but still pleaded to him nevertheless. ‘’I KNOW YOU HATE US AND DON’T WANNA EVER SEE US AGAIN, BUT PLEASE! I BEG OF YOU DO ONE THING FOR US! DASH NEEDS SOMEPONY RIGHT NOW! SHE NEEDS YOU! PLEASE HELP HER!’’
‘’I…’’ began Soarin but stopped as he was still trying to process everything that has just happened. He was silent and unmoving during the entire exchange due to the huge mental overload he was experiencing. He was being hit with a huge flurry of emotions and in particular, rage and anger even resentment. So when he finally was able to come up with a response it wasn’t one of hysterical yelling but rather one that was of calm yet barely contained anger. ‘’Mr. Hothoof… I can’t… I don’t know what I am feeling right now. Part of me wants to just run away while the other part of me wants to pound your face in. I… I just don’t want to see you right now.’’
‘’SOARIN! PLEASE I…..’’ Bow began yelling back in surprise but stopped upon seeing Soarin’s unmoving gaze at himself. While Soarin’s answer was shocking to hear out loud, it was still perfectly understandable and Bow didn’t want to make things worse. ‘’I GOTTA GET TO MY WIFE! PLEASE HELP DASH!’’ yelled Bow as he turned away from Soarin and also ran out the room and down the hallway to his bedroom where his wife was. After Soarin heard a door slam shut for the third time he knew he was all alone.
‘’What the hell just happened to my life?’’ asked Soarin to himself not knowing what he should be doing. He felt completely lost. He still wanted to run away just as much as he wanted to run after Bow and pound his face in. He sat there unmoving for a few minutes as if he was a mannequin. But then after a few more moments his body began to move pretty much on its own accord as if it were on autopilot. He was still completely lost but he was slowly shuffling forwards out of the room and turned to go down the hallway. He kept moving forwards even though he wasn’t entirely sure why. Eventually he reached Dash’s parents bedroom door in which he paused. His rage all of a sudden peaked. He wanted to do nothing more that burst into that room to chew them out like never before and just wail on Bow as hard as he could. But for some reason despite what he wanted to do mentally his body resumed moving forwards to the next room on the other side of the hallway. When he finally reached Dash’s bedroom door his rage was still burning hot. So much so that now he wanted to burst into Dash’s room and just start yelling at her. But why? He knew none of this was her fault. Maybe it was solely him thinking of her being guilty by association? He just didn’t know as his mind still felt like a jumbled mess, but it still seemed to move on its own accord. He reached out and grabbed the door handle and slowly opened the door, and as it was opening he stepped inside.
‘’……………….’’ nothing could be said by Soarin. He couldn’t form a single word let alone generate a single thought when his eyes finally laid their gaze upon Dash. There on her bed Dash was lying on side curled up in a prismatic ball. She had a pillow clutched in her legs and she was crying… no, absolutely bawling out her eyes uncontrollably. She looked so small, so weak, helpless, even broken. Which is something Soarin could never in a millions years imagine that the tough and brash pegasus could ever be reduced too. The sight immediately crushed Soarin. All the thoughts he had were gone. All the emotions including the seething rage were extinguished in an instant. All of it was gone as none of it mattered anymore, but in its place the weight of the world hit Soarin like a ton of bricks. The gravity of the situation and how much more of deal this was for Dash his best friend than him…….Soarin broke….. like as if a damn had burst. Sadness, empathy, pity, they all hit Soarin right I the heart and he just broke. The door closed behind him as he slowly shuffled forwards towards Dash. Tears began flowing down as cheeks as he too now began crying. Once he got to the bed he did not stop, he crawled in next to Dash and without her even bothering to react to him being there or to what he was doing. With her back facing him, Soarin used his forelegs to pull Dash into a close embrace and he leaned his head forwards into the back of her mane and he to lay there motionless except bawling his eyes out uncontrollably as well. And thus now there was no noise or movement in the house except for the weeping of four ponies.
‘’Mmm.’’ groaned Dash quietly to herself as she woke up from her sleep. Despite the rest she felt the worst she had ever been in her life. Then the reality of why she felt that way dawned on her and she realized the situation she was in. This was a living nightmare that she wished she could wake up from but no matter how hard she tired waking up from this reality nothing changed. Dash was beginning to be aware of her surrounds as well. She felt Soarin spooned up against her and his forelegs wrapped around her and while it was comforting to some extent she still felt sick to her stomach. It must have been at least four hours since she rushed into her room and she knew she couldn’t stay here forever despite the fact that she would like to if it were possible. As she began to stir she felt Soarin stir as well and so she knew he had to be awake now.
‘’Dash? How are you doing?’’ asked Soarin quietly as his face was still buried in Dash’s mane.
‘’I… I feel terrible… I feel like shit.’’ replied Dash quietly. Soarin began to hug her tighter but after a few moments Dash started to shrug him off she got up to face Soarin so she could better conversate with him. ‘’Soarin we need to talk.’’
‘’Oh Dash I’m so sorry.’’ said Soarin as he got up as well and then he leaned into give Dash a hug.
‘’Soarin please stop.’’ said Dash weakly as she put up a hoof to stop him. ‘’Please no more of this sorry stuff for now okay? I’ve cried out all the tears that I possibly have and it really hurts now to even attempt to cry more. And saying sorry over and over at this point isn’t going to get us anywhere so I ask that you refrain from doing that as much as possible okay?’’
‘’Dash…’’ whispered Soarin in a bit of shock that Dash was already trying to be strong despite the situation she was in. It made him realize that he too had to be strong, if not for himself he had to be for Dash. ‘’I wish there was something I could do to fix all this, to change it back, undone the damage that’s been done to us… Done to you.’’
‘’I know Soarin, and I too wish change the past but we can’t and so we need to figure out how to move forwards.’’ said Dash while looking at Soarin.
‘’Dash I know what your decision was before and hearing me ask this now won’t be easy but I will completely understand and stand by you if you were to abort the foal now given the circumstances that have been forced upon us.’’ said Soarin with a pleading look in his eyes.
‘’NO!’’ exclaimed Dash quietly. ‘’Soarin I can’t. Not even now and not ever.’’
‘’Dash I’m not asking that just to get out of being a father but rather because doing so would save us… save you from having to give birth to an inbred foal that we would have to spend the next two decades protecting from the truth.’’ said Soarin as he pleaded with Dash.
‘’Soarin I know you’d never say that for that reason and I know it’s going to be hard and I don’t know yet how to move forwards or what to do, but I know it would be so much harder for me if I were too do that because being that I am the element of loyalty it would tear me apart a hundred times worse if I went against my promise to the foal inside me. I could never live with myself if I were to change course now.’’ said Dash with a heavy suddenness in her voice.
‘’Oh Dash you are really too good for this world you know that?’’ said Soarin as he came to terms with her decision. ‘’And I will stand by you and our foal no matter what, but umm what do we do now?’’
‘’Thanks Soarin I knew I could count on you.’’ said Dash with a bit of relief. ‘’But look Soarin I be lying if I said I had any clue as how to move forwards. However I do know one thing that has to happen and I know you probably won’t like it and if I’m being honest neither do I right now.’’
‘’And what that?’’ asked Soarin.
‘’Look we can’t stay in here forever so we have to talk to my… our parents right away in order to figure out how we will move on.’’ said Dash.
‘’Dash I… I don’t think I can bring myself to do that… Ever.’’ said Soarin with resentment in his voice.
‘’Soarin I know this won’t be easy for you, but it has to be done.’’ said Dash. ‘’Look I am not expecting you to forgive them now let alone ever and truth be told I don’t know if I will fully forgive them either. But one thing I do know for sure is that they never meant for any of this to happen, and I know that they love with every fiber of their being. They always have and always will, and I know they love you just as much. And as bad as we got it, especially me, I can’t imagine how they must feel right now knowing that a good intention ended up leading to this happening. So I please ask that you please do this for me.’’
‘’Haaaaawe’’ sighed Soarin verbally as he gave in to Dash’s request. ‘’All right fine I will try and do my best Dash. And even though I hate to admit it you’re right in that this needs to be done, but then that leads me to the next important question….. What about us? Our relationship from now on?’’
‘’Soarin I… I don’t know okay. I haven’t gotten to think that far ahead and I don’t want to right now either as first we have to figure out how to move forwards first okay.’’ said Dash with a heavy heart.
‘’Okay I understand.’’ said Soarin disappointedly as he felt compelled to reach forwards to bring Dash into a hug.
‘’Soarin?’’ asked Dash a bit surprised and tried to push apart. ‘’We should get going.’’
‘’I just need a moment okay?’’ said Soarin as he did not let up on his grasp of Dash.
‘’Oh... Yeah okay.’’ said Dash as she gave up resisting him and leaned into him as well. They both sat there in silence, unmoving as Soarin breathed he could smell the scent from Dash’s mane, and when she breathed she could smell his sent from his chest fur. They sat there for several minutes just listening to each other breathing and to their heart beats. Just doing that ended up doing a lot to help comfort them and help them relax if just a little bit.
‘’Okay Soarin that felt really nice, but we should go now.’’ said Dash as she pulled away from Soarin. Soarin said nothing as Dash rolled off the bed and started walking to the door. ‘’Come on Soarin.’’ said Dash as she opened up her bedroom door and walked out. Soarin wordlessly complied as he got off the bed to follow her. Meanwhile Dash stopped in front of the parents, took a deep breath and then proceeded to lightly knock on their door as she called out to them. ‘’Mom, Dad? We need to talk… All of us… Together. We will be waiting for you in the family room.’’ Dash said as she then continued forwards down the hall with Soarin in tow. They stepped into the family room and walked over to the chairs they had been sitting in before. Upon seeing the water still sitting there it reminded Dash of how thirsty she now was after all that crying she had done so she poured herself and Soarin a glass of water. And as they sat down and started drinking their water, both Windy and Bow also walked into the room. They both looked absolutely terrible almost as if somepony close to them had died. As they walked up to the couch Windy also grabbed the water and poured herself and Bow a glass as well before sitting down.
‘’Mom, Dad, we need to figure this shit out.’’ said Dash rather calmly.
‘’Dashie please! We are so sorry! We never wanted to hurt you or Soarin like this!’’ exclaimed Windy.
‘’Mom stop! Stop this right now! And that goes for you too dad!’’ yelled Dash quickly but without anger in her voice. ‘’I already know that and saying it over and over a million times isn’t going to solve this comedy of errors clusterfuck that is now our lives. Me and Soarin are still pissed off at you two and I don’t know when I will ever forgive you for this but we need to work together right now to figure out the best damage control!’’
‘’Dashie…’’ began Bow as both him, and Windy were shocked at what Dash said and how she said it. Luckily though the power of her words registered with them and they began to calm down. ‘’We truly are sorry to the day we die and it pains us greatly seeing what we’ve done to you because of our terrible decisions, but we understand the gravity of the situation and I guess you’re right. Right now we have to figure out the future.’’
‘’D…Dash honey. Are you… do you… do you plan to… to terminate it?’’ asked Windy very weakly.
‘’No.’’ said Dash strongly but without raising her voice. ‘’Even though it pains me to say this now given what I now know, I made a promise to bear the foal several days ago when I first found out I was pregnant and I can not break that promise now no matter the circumstance as it’s not fair to the foal.’’
‘’Oh honey I’m so sorry!’’ gasped Windy but quickly continued. ‘’I know you said not to say that but this kind of news is supposed to be the happiest moment of our lives since I had you and instead it’s the worst and again it’s all our fault!’’
‘’Yes I know mother, but that’s why we have to figure out how we are going to make this all work.’’ said Dash a bit agitated that Windy already lost focus.
‘’So what do you purpose then Dash? Where do we start?’’ asked Bow.
‘’Well I don’t know exactly.’’ said Dash as she began to think to herself.
‘’I think I know what to start off with.’’ said Soarin speaking up as all ponies turned to him. ‘’Look as of right now as far as I aware nopony has yet to connect me and Dash together as being siblings right? Which that is the first piece of good news that I can think of in this fucked up situation. And that would be something I’d like to keep that way for the rest of our lives if possible. So I must ask you two, is there any ponies you know that know about us?’’
‘’Yes what Soarin said, I completely agree!’’ exclaimed Dash happy with Soarin’s question.
‘’Uhh well umm that I would have to think about.’’ said Bow as he thought hard about it for a few moments before answering. ‘’Well now that I think about it I don’t think there’s anypony from our early days that would know. None of our distant relatives or the few friends we had would know at all. And the few ponies that knew us when we were Sky Fissure and Meadow Breeze well they would know a little bit more but they wouldn’t of known the foal Windy gave birth to and the same would go for anypony we knew in prison. And after prison we never told anypony so the only ponies that I could think of that might be able to know or at the very least be able to look into it would be the police and judge that handled our case as well as the lead social worker who handled your adoption. Would there be anypony else you can think of Windy?’’
‘’Well not really, I think you covered it all for the most part.’’ said Windy. ‘’But one thing I do know for sure is the judge that handled our case and the lead social worker that handled your adoption have both since passed away. So I don’t think there really is anypony else that would know. And if I may, that was one more thing we worried about over the years while you were growing up was somepony random getting a hold of you Soarin and telling you about us, but that never happened.’’
‘’Holy crap! So you’re telling me that in theory theres pretty much nopony that actively knows about us!?’’ exclaimed Dash. ‘’That’s a huge advantage for us right away!’’
‘’Well yeah, when you put it that way that would seem to be the case.’’ said Bow.
‘’But the biggest problem is once the public finds out that I’m pregnant and that Soarin is the father I fear some nosey reporter or crazy fans will dig deep into our families pasts and accidentally make the connection!’’ exclaimed Dash worriedly.
‘’Well I don’t think you really have to worry about that or at least I hope not.’’ said Bow. ‘’But the only way I could ever see that being possible is if somepony were to look deep into our records.’’
‘’Celestia Damn it!’’ exclaimed Dash. ‘’I just wish there was some way to hide or change or heck destroy them records!’’
‘’Oh Dash honey.’’ said Windy a bit worriedly. ‘’I wish there was something that could be done but there isn’t. We just have to hope that nopony ever finds out. Which so far has been working out fairly well.’’
‘’Gah! I just wish we knew somepony on the inside who could do that for us! Somepony like……’’ paused Dash mid sentence as a major epiphany came to her. ‘’Twilight…’’
‘’What was that Dash?’’ asked Soarin.
‘’TWILIGHT! PRINCESS TWILIGHT!’’ yelled Dash out loud. ‘’The ruler of all Equestria! She could easily make all that go away!’’
‘’Dash you really think she’d do that?’’ asked Bow.
‘’YES!’’ exclaimed Dash. ‘’She may not like doing it but she defiantly do it for us!’’
‘’Well you will have to get a hold of her and find out sweetie.’’ said Windy enthusiastically.
‘’YES! BUT NOT LATER, NOW!’’ yelled Dash to everyponies surprise.
‘’Now? Like right now, right now?’’ asked Windy.
‘’YES!’’ exclaimed Dash again. ‘’Now come on! The time is of the essence! All of you get your shit together as I want to leave within the next five minutes!’’
‘’Umm yes as you say Dashie.’’ said Bow as he and Windy got up to get ready.
‘’Dash you really think this will work and is a good idea?’’ asked Soarin.
‘’Yes! I know it is and I know it will as Twilight would never let me down in a tough situation.’’ said Dash. ‘’I just want to take care of this as soon as possible so as to eliminate as much hell from our lives as much as we possibly can, for our sake and more importantly for our foals sake. Now come on and get moving! We got a princess to talk to!’’

‘’Dash here at this time on a Sunday night? Huh well yes don’t keep her waiting, let her in.’’ said Twilight wondering what could possibly wanting to see her about.
‘’Hey there Twilight how’s it going?’’ asked Dash as she flew in and coasted into a landing right in front of Princess Twilight.
‘’Well I’m doing quite fine how about you? It’s a bit of a surprise to see you right now.’’ said Twilight.
‘’that’s good to hear.’’ responded Dash. ‘’I will keep this short. I’m here because I have something important to talk to you about… In private.’’
‘’Oh?’’ said Twilight while staring quizzically at Dash. ‘’Well I was just about done for the night anyways so it wouldn’t be a problem for me to call it quits now.’’
‘’Thanks a bunch Twilight.’’ said Dash.
‘’Alright everypony.’’ said Twilight as she raised her voice so that everypony in the throne room could hear her. ‘’I shall be retiring for the day and I look forwards to seeing you all tomorrow, so have a good night everypony.’’
‘’Yes your Highness’’ said everypony at once.
‘’Okay Dash lets go to my chambers’’ said Twilight as her horn glowed and in a flash of light they were gone, and in an instant another flash they were in Twilights room. ‘’So what is this urgent matter you’d like to discuss?’’
‘’Okay first before we begin do you have a sound barrier up? I don’t want to sound paranoid but I just don’t want anypony, even the guards, to hear about this.’’
‘’Umm okay.’’ said Twilight with a slight concern as she activated the sound proof spell. ‘’Would perhaps this have to do with your pregnancy?’’
‘’No!... Well yes… well kind of… look its complicated okay.’’ said Dash hastily. ‘’But before we can begin you have to get my parents and Soarin and bring them here. They are all together in the restroom at Donut Joes waiting for you.’’
‘’Huh, what!?’’ said Twilight in surprise. ‘’Why do I have to get them? Why didn’t they just come with you in the first place?’’
‘’It’s because this is very important and I didn’t want to draw any unnecessary attention by bringing both my parents and Soarin here at the same time! I mean even in a non emergency ponies would think that was odd!’’
‘’Okay. Okay I see what you mean and I understand.’’ said Twilight. ‘’I will go get them now and it should only take a few moments.’’
‘’Thanks Twilight.’’ replied Dash as in a flash she was gone. Dash began pacing back and forth. She was getting nervous about this whole thing and was really hoping and praying that all would work out in the end. Then after about a dozen or so paces back and forth another flash erupted in the room followed by four ponies now standing in front of Dash.
‘’Oh sweet Celestia I think I’m going to puke!’’ exclaimed Bow
‘’Ugh, me too!’’ said Windy.
‘’My insides fell like they’ve been flipped upside down!’’ cried Soarin.
‘’Yeah that’s the way I felt the first time I was teleported, but you get used to it after dozen times or so.’’ said Dash nonchalantly as there were more pressing matter to get to.
‘’Okay so now that everypony is here can you please tell me what this is all about?’’ asked Twilight as Dashs parents and Soarin began to settle down.
‘’Yes! Well you see we need your help Twilight.’’ said Dash as she began fidgeting in place and a look of anguish started to appear on her face. ‘’And that because something bad has happened and it’s something that was completely out of me and Soarins control.’’
‘’Oh my goodness! Dash what happened and are you alright!?’’ exclaimed Twilight.
‘’Physically, yes I am alright. Emotionally, not so much because… because… Oh sweet Luna how do I say this to you!?’’ exclaimed Dash as she was failing at proceeding to tell Twilight the problem.
‘’Dash it’s alright, you can tell me anything. No matter how bad it is I will be here for you.’’ said Twilight reassuringly. ‘’But please take your time. I don’t want you to rush.’’
‘’Thanks Twilight, it’s just so hard for me to say this now for some reason.’’ said Dash.
‘’I will tell her then.’’ piped up Windy, gaining the attention of everypony. ‘’This mess that Dash and Soarin are in is our fault and it’s not fair for Dash to have to recount all the information that she herself just learnt just a few hours ago.’’
‘’Mom…’’ gasped Dash as she gave her mother a pleading look of sorrow.
‘’Dash please just do your best to relax, because I as your mother have to do this.’’ said Windy with determination. That look of confidence that Windy was giving caused Dash to finally concede and she walked over to Soarin and sat down next to him.
‘’Please Ms. Whistle do tell me what is going on.’’ asked Twilight.
‘’Please just call me Windy, princess. But also if you could please have a seat as I think you’d fare better doing so as I tell you what the problem is.’’
‘’Okay Windy I can do that.’’ said Twilight worriedly as she wondered what the issue could possibly be.
‘’Thank you very much your highness.’’ said Windy as Twilight sat down as well. ‘’Okay so the reason we are here is because…’’ began Windy as she started telling Twilight everything. Right away Twilight’s jaw dropped and her eyes widened and the description of events were continued to be told her jaw seemed to drop lower and lower and her eyes seemed to get bigger until Windy finally finished it looked like Twilight’s jaw had hit the floor and her eyes looked as big as plates. ‘’…and so that’s why came here to ask you for help.’’
‘’Oh my goddess…’’ mouthed Twilight in complete disbelief as she took in all the information. Her face quickly changed to a look of sadness and pity as she looked at Dash. ‘’Dash I’m so sorry! I can’t even begin to imagine the pain and turmoil you must be in right now.’’
‘’Yeah overall it has been the worst two weeks of my life, a living hell if you will.’’ said Dash and continued on. ‘’But please Twilight, save the pity for later as right now we have a pressing matter to attend to. So can you do it? Can you get rid of all the records?’’
‘’Oh Dash, you’ve always been the one to be so brave and you also always want to keep moving, never stopping.’’ said Twilight as she wiped away the remaining tears that had come forth over the last several minutes. ‘’But I don’t think I can quite do that.’’
‘’WHAT!? WHY THE HELL NOT!? YOU RUN THE ENTIRE KINGDOM FOR CELESTIAS SAKE!’’ yelled Dash in utter disbelief.
‘’RAINBOW DASH!’’ yelled Twilight so as to try and get Dash to calm down. ‘’Let me rephrase that. What I meant to say was I don’t think it would be a good idea to erase them all as that would raise to many red flags to anypony that were to look into your families records. There will be some that I could get away with doing that but a majority of them I or rather you would be better off if I were to alter or create new ones that would get rid of the connections.’’
‘’So you can do it!? What will you do!?’’ exclaimed Dash as a huge wave of relief washed over her.
‘’Well first off I want to say I absolutely hate and detest that I’d be using my power and privilege to illegally destroy and alter official documents.’’ said Twilight in a rather harsh tone, but then right away her demeanor softened completely as she continued. ‘’However given the situation I am more than happy to do it if it means saving one of my best friends from a life of anguish. And plus it’s not like I’d be doing it to any major documents that would affect other ponies lives.’’
‘’Thank you so much Princess Twilight!’’ exclaimed Windy. ‘’Me and Bow would owe you our lives for doing this for us all!’’
‘’Now there will be none of that.’’ chided Twilight. ‘’I’m doing this as it’s the right thing to do and it’s something that any good friend would do so I don’t want to hear that kind of talk.’’
‘’Okay I understand, but still we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.’’ said Windy
‘It’s not a problem really.’’ said Twilight.
‘’Thank you as well your highness.’’ said Soarin happily. ‘’But what do you plan to do exactly?’’
‘’Well let me think for few moments.’’ said twilight as she began to ponder and mumble to herself. ‘’Well let’s see… I could do that which means I could do that, and that, and that too… No wait I can’t do that it would raise way to much suspicion, hmmm….. Oh! I think I could do that!..... Yes that should work as I could do that. And let’s see… that would be a long stretch but it should work just fine. Umm I think that’s it! I might have to refine it a bit in the end but that all should work!’’
‘’WELL!? WHAT YOU COME UP WITH!?’’ exclaimed a somewhat paranoid sounding Rainbow Dash.
‘’Calm down Dash and everypony gather around as I think I got a decent plan that should solve pretty much all our problems without raising to many red flags even if somepony were to look into this deep.’’ said Twilight somewhat enthusiastically.
‘’Okay, okay but please tell us now!’’ said Dash.
‘’Alright so here’s how I think it’s going to go for the most part.’’ said Twilight as she divulged into the plan. ‘’So the first thing I will do is I will is eliminate the records of Bow and Windy legally changing their names, so in other words they will never have been known as Sky Fissure and Meadow Breeze. Now since many ponies would have seen you in prison I will have to create new arrest records with some type of crime that would equate to about a five year sentence that would show that you were indeed there. Something such as maybe a bank theft or something like that. Though there’s one problem I’m running into and that is everypony knew you by your alias names.’’
‘’I don’t think that will be a major issue Princess.’’ said Bow causing Twilight to perk up. ‘’We were still just in the local jail yet when Soarin was born and another vow we made at that time was we’d refer to ourselves by our old names but we couldn’t legally change them while in prison so everypony we spent time with in prison knew us by our original names.’’
‘’Ah, wonderful well that takes care of that issue now having said that this change will also mean you will have no legal connection to Soarin either, but that’s what we’re here after anyways.’’
‘’That’s a small price to pay that really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.’’ said Windy.
‘’Yes well anyways I will also change and shorten the time in which Sky fissure and Meadow Breeze spent in prison so that way you all don’t have the same exact time served as that would raise a lot of red flags.’’ said Twilight while continuing on. ‘’Now as far as Sky Fissure and Meadow Breeze is concerned, this was a bit tougher to think of how to deal with them. I was just going to create new birth certificates for both of them but then we would run into the issue of what would their past be, or rather their relations. Because if anypony were to look into their past they would find no realities and I can’t just make up ones for the same reason.’’
‘’So what are you going to do then?’’ asked Dash a bit worriedly.
‘’Don’t worry too much as after a thinking about it I think I got a good solution.’’ said Twilight. ‘’At the time their names came to be. In other words when your parents changed their names, I will make it so they immigrated into Equestria that day. Because not all ponies are born in Equestria. There are plenty of pony settlements outside Equestria on the outer edges of bordering kingdoms. The most of which were in the Griffon Kingdom. There used to be quite a few there until it collapsed a few decades ago in which quite a few ponies came into Equestria. So therefore it’s not unreasonable that they could have come here from there. So I will get documents made up showing that. Also that means we can do the opposite for when they were released from prison. We can say that they fled back to the Griffon Kingdom as there are still a few large pony settlements remaining. What helps us out even more is the Griffin Kingdom has never been… let’s just say orderly, especially when it comes to pony settlements and so accurate paperwork on individual ponies are pretty much lack thereof in most cases. I will also make it so both fake parents came from different settlements that have since been abandoned so there wouldn’t be any paperwork even if they were real. So what this all means is if somepony were to go looking for them now or into their past they won’t find anything but it wouldn’t raise any red flags. And in the end even if there was any pony you knew or that dealt with you in the past that if they were inquire about your past thinking something wasn’t right or whatever, that they would see this mountain of clear evidence contradicting them that they would just come to the conclusion that they were just wrong about whatever they thought or knew about you two.’’
‘’Wow Twilight that sounds so legit even I already believe it!’’ exclaimed Dash.
‘’Yeah I can’t argue with that logic either!’’ said Soarin excitedly.
‘’Oh my stars, that sounds like great idea Princess Twilight.’’ said Windy getting all teary eyed.
‘’Awe it’s nothing you guys, and it’s the least I can do for Rainbow Dash.’’ responded Twilight.
‘’So how fast do you think you can get this done?’’ asked Dash.
‘’Well I got to do some research first to make sure I track down all physical documentation and find out when I will have the chance to do it, but I would think I could have it all done within a week.’’ said Twilight. ‘’And also as a precaution I will always be monitoring the situation for years to come as a just in case prevention, but there shouldn’t be any issues.’’
‘’Holy crap Twilight thank you so much!’’ exclaimed Dash as she rushed up to Twilight and gave her a big hug. ‘’You don’t know how much better I feel now!’’
‘Yes, yes Rainbow it’s what friends are for.’’ said Twilight happily as she hugged Dash back.
‘’Twilight please promise me you won’t tell anypony else. Especially the girls and especially Apple Jack!’’ said Dash in a serious tone.
‘’Don’t worry I will not tell a soul.’’ said Twilight. ‘’But why Apple Jack especially?’’
‘’Because…’’ said Dash nervously. ‘’I’ve always joked about the Apple family tree having no branched and made jokes about her and her brother and now the horseshoe is on the other hoof and it turns out I’ve fucked my brother and he’s impregnated me! She would never let that down ever!’’
‘’Okay first of all yes I won’t tell Apple Jack either, but that’s messed up and mean Rainbow Dash.’’ said Twilight. ‘’Secondly you both had no idea so you are most certainly not at fault. So I don’t want you feeling bad about yourselves for the rest of your lives.’’
‘’Wow Twilight you really think so? Even my parents?’’ asked Dash.
‘’Oh that’s a hard no. I’m sorry Dash, while totally unintentional your parents are one hundred and ten percent at fault for this entire conundrum. This all could have been easily avoidable had they just come forth with the truth years ago.’’ said Twilight giving Dash the brutal truth of the matter. Everypony stared in complete shock at what she had just said.
‘’Oh goddess! We are just the worst ponies ever!’’ yelled Windy as both she and Bow began crying while both Dash and Soarin sat there dumbfounded.
‘’STOP!’’ yelled Twilight trying to regain control of the situation. Windy and Bow were still crying but they still managed to give Twilight their undivided attention. ‘’Look while what I said is true that this is technically all your fault and that part of you should always feel bad at what has transpired for the rest of your lives, the fact is it was completely unintentional and it’s far from the worst thing that could of happened. And no, me saying that isn’t supposed to make you feel better, but what I am saying is there could be much worse things that could of happened that didn’t and the situation that you are all in while not optimal could be so, so much worse. And I know I don’t have to worry about this but you will do everything in your power to be the best grandparents on the face of this world. Do it for Rainbow Dash, do it for Soarin, and do it for their foal.’’
‘’YES! Yes we will do everything to the best of our abilities for them! We sear on your life Princess Twilight!’’ exclaimed Bow as they both were still shedding tears.
‘’Thank you.’’ said Twilight to them while then turning to Dash. ‘’I’m sorry for doing that to your parents but I felt that it was necessary brutally honest and point out how easily avoidable this all was.’’
‘’Yeah you’re right Twilight.’’ sighed Dash. ‘’It’s just tough to hear it out loud. But this whole situation has me wanting to ask you a question Twilight. One that might be embarrassing to answer but on I feel like I must ask given the current situation I am in right now.’’
‘’Oh? What is it?’’ asked Twilight inquisitively.
‘’Well the thing it now that it turns out I’ve been fucking my brother and I’ve always joked about Apple Jack and her brother. This may sound silly but I’ve always wondered about you and your brother? I mean really B.B.B.F.F.? Sounds like Best Big Brother Fuck Forever to me.’’
‘’WHAT!?’’ gasped a flustered Twilight loudly while all the others around the room stared at Dash slack jawed in total shock. ‘’What! How could you… Why… Where did you think that! What would… Why?... NO! What is wrong with you!?’’ exclaimed Twilight as she stuttered her speech all while a large deep blush shown upon her face.
‘’I’m so sorry!’’ exclaimed Dash. ‘’I didn’t mean anything by it! It’s just this whole incest thing is freaking me out right now and it’s something that’s always seemed like a joke to me and now here I am in the middle of it! I kind of feel like I’m going insane!’’
‘’Oh umm well it’s alright Dash.’’ said Twilight as she was calming down and wanted to do the same for Rainbow Dash. ‘’ Look this Is not a good situation but it could be so much worse and you know that, but lucky for you we are the only ones that will know the truth and while I don’t expect it now, eventually you will be able to rest easy.’’
‘’Thank you Twilight, it means the world to me hearing that from you.’’ said Dash as she continued. ‘’But I also ask that you please don’t tell the other princesses as I know how talkative you get with them when it comes to sensitive information.’’
‘’Dash like I said, I will not tell another soul. said Twilight a bit hesitantly. ‘’However we’re talking about the princess of love, the former princess of Equestria, and the Princess of dreams. They seem to always be able to find out anything about anypony no matter what and while I won’t go out of my way to tell them, if they ask I will tell them. However you still have nothing to worry about as they will not tell anypony else ever. I swear on my life you can count on that.’’
‘’Okay Twilight I believe in you.’’ said Dash. ‘’But I guess it’s getting late so we all should be going to get back home now’’
‘’Not a problem Dash.’’ said Twilight as one last thing popped up in her mind that she wanted clarified. ‘’But one more thing I have to ask you Dash before you leave.’’
‘’Yeah, what’s that?’’ asked Dash.
‘’Before I let you and Soarin go tonight you must answer me this as I don’t want this issue to go unchecked and turn into a bigger issue down the road.’’ said Twilight.
‘’Okay? Well what is it?’’ asked Dash again as her curiosity was getting the better of her.
‘’Okay this question will also apply to Soarin as well.’’ said Twilight with a soft yet serious expression upon her face. ‘’What is your relationship with eachother going to be from now on? And again I want and answer from you both before I let you leave as I can tell this is an issue you haven’t settled yet as you haven’t said anything about it all night and I don’t want anything bad happening from you too not telling each other how you really feel, And Dash you can go first.’’
‘’Wait what!? Really Twilight!?’’ exclaimed Dash as she was shocked and blindsided by the question. ‘’I don’t know if I can answer that!’’
‘’Yes really.’’ said Twilight in a slightly sarcastic tone. ‘’And I believe you can and you’re just saying that because you are just embarrassed to answer. But please Dash don’t be I’m your friend and I’m here to help, and this is really important and you know it.’’
‘’Ugh fine…’’ sighed Dash in defeat. ‘’Look I’d be lying if I said I was one hundred percent sure of what I actually feel and this is embarrassing when I say this out loud given what I now know but here goes nothing. Okay so this is how I think I really feel. Umm I umm how do I put this….. Dammit it all to hell despite the pregnancy I just wish for thing to be the way they’ve always been okay! Sweet Celestia that makes me a freak!’’ exclaimed Dash as the look of complete and total embarrassment and shame could be seen upon her face.
‘’RAINBOW DASH!’’ yelled Twilight in a rather stern manner. ‘’I do not ever want to hear you say that about yourself you hear me! This situation was completely out of your control and what you are asking is very rational all things considering you got that!?’’
‘’Twi…’’ was all Dash could say at first as she took Twilights words to heart and thought about it for a moment before she found the words to say what she wanted to say. ‘’You’re right Twilight, but it’s still hard to accept you know… Look like I said I just want things to be they were before which means… which means I would like… or rather I want to continue the same relationship I had with Soarin before today. I mean to me I’ve never had a brother, I never grew up with one, I’ve never worked with one, and I’ve never… I’ve never made love to one… And within the next week there won’t even be any documents that would say I have one… I… I know it’s fucked up but Soarin is my best friend and I don’t want to change that. Now I’m not saying that I plan to settle down with him or at least certainly not any time soon as like we’ve told each other before we’d like to maintain an open relationship throughout our careers, but that doesn’t mean I want to give him up, especially now since we are having a foal together… I think it’d be too painful to continue on working with him while sharing a foal and not being able to show our love and friendship with each other to its fullest extent like before.’’
‘’Huh very interesting Dash and I’m very happy you freely admitted your feelings.’’ said Twilight happily. ‘’Now Soarin I want to hear your thoughts and feelings on the matter.’’
‘’Umm well your Highness I umm…’’ stuttered Soarin as he was doing his best to search his feelings and give a proper answer right on the spot right after hearing what Dash had just said. ‘’Well if I’m being fully honest I agree fully with what Dash just said.’’
‘’That’s it? Are you sure?’’ asked Twilight quizzically at Soarin. ‘’I fell like there should be a more elaborate answer than that.’’
‘’Well your Highness you’d be right.’’ said Soarin as he got up and turner towards Windy and Bow and started talking to them. ‘’Mom, Dad, this may be hard for you hear but this will be that last time I will refer to you as my parents just like tonight will be the last time I will refer to Dash as my sister. My real parents are Golden Skies and Thunder Streak and I’ve never had a sister and that’s the way it will always be. My biological parents were a pair of misfit misguided poor souls named Sky Fissure and Meadow Breeze which is not who you two are or were anymore. So I please ask… beg of you to never refer to me as your son ever again once we leave this room. I too want to continue the same relationship with Dash that we’ve always had. So can you please do that for me? For us?’’
‘’Oh sweetie, you will always be our son, our baby.’’ said Windy happily. ‘’But yes we can do that for the both of you, and we fully respect your decision.’’
‘’Soarin my boy, you have grown up to be the finest stallion I have ever seen and just like Windy said you will always be my son, but I will treat you and Dash with the respect you deserve and we will do as you ask even as painful as it is for us.’’ said Bow coming to terms with the reality of no longer having a son.
‘’Thank you mom and dad.’’ said Soarin as he reached forwards and brought them both into a hug.
‘’This is all such wonderful news to hear!’’ said Twilight excitedly. ‘’Them were the answers I was hoping to hear. So having said that Dash, are you happy with everything now going forwards?’’
‘’Well happy wouldn’t be the word I’d use to describe this situation, but yes overall I think it’s about as good as it could possibly be given the circumstances,’’ said Dash and then continued. ‘’But I can tell you right now I will always have that lingering nagging feeling or thought in the back of my mind that somepony will find us out somehow which would cause our life to become a living hell.’’
‘’Dash let me tell you something right now.’’ said Twilight in a serious but warm tone. ‘’You have nothing to worry about okay. I think I could do nothing and more than likely nopony would find out okay. Which that means after I do my thing there’s virtually no chance that anypony would be able to prove otherwise alright. However this is what I want to tell you. Even if the worst should happen sometime in the future and somehow ponies found out… It won’t matter! You are the element of loyalty, you have helped save Equestria like a dozen times now. In fact if it weren’t for you and your sonic rainboom none of this ever would of happened and we’d all probably be under Nightmare Moons control or some other villain. And it’s because of you that I’m now the Princess of Equestria! Which by the way thanks a lot asshole, I didn’t exactly expect or want to be doing this when I grew up… but anyways that a story for a different time. My point being is that it wouldn’t matter Dash. Other than a hoofull of jerks, the vast majority would be sympathetic and supportive you, Soarin, and your foal once they understood the context in which how all this happened.’’
‘’Wow Twilight.’’ said Dash astounded as she thought about what Twilight just said. ‘’I never thought of it like that before and when you put it like that you’re right I have nothing to worry about even if the worst should happen.’’
‘’Yes and thank you Dash for seeing it that way.’’ said Twilight as she moved on. ‘’So is there anything else that needs to be taken care of before we call it quits for the night?’’
‘’Umm yes there is Princess Twilight.’’ said Soarin as he stepped forwards towards Dash. ‘’I’ve got something to say and do now that we are being transparent.’’
‘’Okay go on.’’ said Twilight.
‘’Ahem.’’ said Soarin clearing his throat. ‘’Dash I want to tell you that while I can’t predict what the long term future holds for us, I can predict that we will be awesome parents for our foal. Furthermore regardless of whatever our future holds the fact is you are greatest friend I have ever had and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. So I guess what I’m trying to say is…’’
‘’Soarin…’’ whispered Dash as her cheeks began to turn red and her eyes began to water.
‘’What I’m trying to say is… I love you.’’ said Soarin as he leaned in and kissed Dash on the lips. Dash’s eyes widened in shock at first but she quickly accepted and reciprocated the kiss. They continued to kiss for several moments until they finally broke apart.
‘’And I love you to you ya big goof.’’ said Dash as a few tears fell down he cheeks.
‘’Awe that’s so cute!’’ cooed Twilight as she looked over toward their parents and saw weird expressions upon their faces, a mixture that looked of a cross between adoration and disgust. ‘’But from the looks of it you two don’t feel the same way. Do you Windy and Bow?’’
‘’Please forgive us when I say this Princess Twilight.’’ Said Windy as both her and Bow had tears streaming down their cheeks as well. ‘’what we’re seeing is absolutely beautiful, however the fact is we are seeing it between our daughter and son… which I know we won’t acknowledge them as such from now on, but still from a technicality standpoint it’s going to take awhile to adjust.’’
‘’Yeah exactly what she said.’’ said Bow agreeing. ‘’But hopefully once the foal arrives it will help us adjust quickly.’’
‘’Alright that’s all great to hear and I think we got everything all sorted out now.’’ said Twilight excitedly before continuing. ‘’But I have one last thing to discuss before you go Rainbow Dash.’’
‘’What’s that Twilight?’’ asked Dash.
‘’About your foal…’’ said Twilight seriously once more. ‘’After it’s born at some point, probably once it has become an adult you must tell them the truth. It may be hard to do it but it has to be done. You can’t hide that from them for the rest of your life. If you don’t I will as it’s not fair to them. ‘’Soarin.’’ said Dash sternly getting Soarin’s utmost attention. ‘’The next time we fuck I will first go to the market and buy the largest watermelon I can find. I will then bring home and proceed to shove it up your ass and then watch you try and push it out all by yourself okay?’’
‘’No Ma’am! I now fully understand Ma’am!’’ exclaimed Soarin as he went wide eyed in shock. While Dash joked around a lot all the time, this time there was a deep sublevel part of his conscience that told him that she was serious and not messing around which is not something he wanted to touch. Not even with a ten hoof pole.
‘’Good to hear as I’d hate for it to come to that.’’ said Dash.
‘’Um Dash, I have a question I have to ask.’’ asked Soarin in a suddenly serious and somber tone.
‘’What is it?’’ replied Dash with a somewhat worried look upon her face.
‘’Well now that our son has been born I’ve been wondering.’’ responded Soarin as he stared down at his forehooves. ‘’I’ve been wondering about us, about our future? I mean what is our future supposed to be now that we share a son and…… and blood.’’
‘’Soarin…’’ said Dash as that was all she could say at first. She was completely sympathetic to what Soarin just said as that has been the exact same thought that been on her mind for months now and she wasn’t fully sure of that answer until Golden Draught was finally born. ‘’Look while I’m not going to be naïve to the fact that we are… brother and sister from a blood standpoint, I still am fully committed to the fact that we’ve never had siblings, because well we haven’t and we both have our own parents prove it. So I guess what I’m saying is, is that there’s two things that I have come to realize.
‘’And… and what is that?’’ asked Soarin not knowing at all what Dash was going to say.
‘’Well the easiest of the two for me to say and freely admit first is that while I don’t want to be in a fully committed and permanent relationship any time soon just like you, but I would however like to think that some day in the end when I do decide to settle down permanently that it would be… with you.’’
‘’Oh Dash…’’ said Soarin sympathetically. But before he could say anything more, Dash continued.
‘’And the second thing is… oh sweet Luna this is embarrassing.’’ said Dash as she was trying to find the courage to say what her feelings were telling her. ‘’The second thing is I think…no, I mean I want another foal… just one more… within the next two or three years… but… but I wouldn’t want to have one with anypony else but you Soarin.’’
‘’Wow…’’ said Soarin as that’s all he could say at first. He was in total shock and disbelief hearing that now from Dash. But after a few moments he found the courage and the words to respond. ‘’Dash, I… I don’t know what to say exactly but… I’ve felt the same way to some extent but I’ve been too embarrassed, or rather too ashamed to say anything about it. I mean if it weren’t for the whole sibling bull shit I would have said something a long time ago.’’
‘’Oh Soarin, I understand completely.’’ said Dash sympathetically. ‘’But I want to know what you think.’’
‘’Well I don’t know if I’m entirely sure, but I must first ask if are you sure you would want to have another foal with me?’’ asked Soarin genuinely but then reiterated. ‘’What I mean by that is when we accidentally procreated our foal Golden Draught, we had no idea that we were… well you know, directly blood related, but to produce another foal in the not so distant future… well we would be doing it on purpose knowing full well that it was… that I was incest.’’
‘’Yes Soarin I’m fully aware of that and I have been thinking about that constantly.’’ said Dash downheartedly but continued on. ‘’While a part of me loves the fact that I was an only foal, the other more important part of me had always wished that I had a sibling to grow up with. I mean hell that’s why I consider Fluttershy to be my sister and I her sister, because I grew up with her very closely. Anyways what I’m getting at is I would love for our son to have a sibling but I couldn’t bring myself to have another foal with anypony else.’’
‘’I get that Dash, but again are you really sure you’d want to do that intentionally?’’ asked Soarin again.
‘’Would it be fair to give birth to a… a… incest foal intentionally you ask?’’ said Dash in a somber tone. ‘’No, no it would not. In fact from an out of context standpoint it would be the worst thing ever and even with our context it technically doesn’t make it better. But we all agreed that we would continue our lives as if that’s not the case so I intend to uphold that. I’m not going to pretend it won’t be tough, especially once we inevitably have to tell them the truth. But like Twilight told us, if we end up being great parents, which I know we will, I’m confident they would eventually come to understand our situation. And whether they do so right away or if it takes years, I know they eventually would.’’
‘’Dash I…’’ began Soarin as he was overtaken by his emotions which prompted him to tell Dash the truth. ‘’Yes Dash I have felt the same way for a long time. And I know it wouldn’t be fair to the next foal but in the grand scheme of things a blood relation is a very small issue when there are many more egregious things in life. Not that I’m using that reason as an excuse to justify doing it.’’
‘’Thank… thank you Soarin. Thank you for being honest with me.’’ said Dash as a few tears began to stream down her cheeks. ‘’This is not something we have to commit to now because like I said I’d like to wait at least a couple years before I’m willing to do this whole foal birthing again, but I can now rest easy knowing we’re on the same page.’’
‘’Dash….. anything for you.’’ said Soarin as he shed a few tears of his own. ‘’But I must ask, do you think we would have another colt or do you think we would have a filly the second time around?’’
‘’Oh Soarin…’’ began Dash with a smirk. ‘’It’s not a matter of what I want, but rather what I know. And what I know is if we have another foal together, it will be a cute little filly.’’
‘’Heh… Your wish… I mean you command is my desire and it shall be done.’’ chuckled Soarin happily at the thought of eventually having a little filly to raise. One that he would hope would turn out just like Dash, or no wait… maybe one that would turn out just like him! ‘’I’m already cherishing the thought.’’
‘’That’s awesome Soarin, but there’s one thing that we would have to absolutely make sure we do if we did have a filly together.’’ said Dash in a serious tone.
‘’What’s that?’’ asked Soarin curiously wanting to know what dash was thinking.
‘’Well this is embarrassing to say, but I need to say it.’’ said Dash carefully. ‘’If we do indeed end up having a filly together, we must absolutely ensure that under no circumstance that she and Golden Draught make… make… Fuck each other!’’
‘’What the hell!?’’ exclaimed Soarin in shock as he never would expected Dash to have said that.
‘’I’m serious Soarin!’’ exclaimed Dash. ‘’I know it’s silly of me to think of something like this and that I know it’s something that we should have to worry about as reality should alone should prevent that from happening, but even if out of our control it has happened to us and I’ve also accidentally came across a box full of Princess Twilights personally written fan fictions and let me tell you, I have every right to be worried okay.’’
‘’Um okay.’’ said Soarin cautiously not knowing exactly what Dash was talking about, but understanding enough about what she meant. ‘’Look Dash you have nothing to worry about since we now have the heads up and know what to look for. Also what the fuck kind of fan fictions is Princess Twilight writing?’’
‘’Thank you so much Soarin.’’ said Dash happily. ‘’But to answer your question… you don’t want to know… In fact I wish I didn’t know.’’
‘’Really that bad?’’ asked Soarin in slight disbelief.
‘’Well let me put it this way for you Soarin… Twilight needs to be fucked about ten times harder than we’ve ever fucked. She literally needs to have the sense fucked into her when it comes to sexual love lives okay! And that is all I will say about that as Twilight is a dear friend of mine and is just a little bit misguided on how relationships work.’’
‘’Wow, uhhhh okay… duely noted then.’’ said Soarin in surprise.
‘’But enough about that and all the future stuff.’’ said Dash. ‘’Right now I just want to focus on the current moment, to focus on us as the future will come at us one step at a time.’’
‘’Oh Dash I wouldn’t want to have it any other way.’’ said Soarin. ‘’And I love you so much.’’
‘’I love you too Soarin.’’ said Dash as Soarin, Golden Draught and herself joined in one big hug.
