Chapters A Stallion with a scar his face sat in a dark room with only a single light hanging from the ceiling. He sat across a table from an empty chair, waiting for a certain somepony to come into the room.
Two armed guards sat behind him. The metal door clanked open and a blue mare wearing an all black suit with sunglasses on her face. The scar guy's eyes narrowed at her.
"Who are you?" He asked angrily.
The blue mare placed a suitcase on the table. "The mare here for your coke deal."
"Where are your bosses!? I was supposed to meet one of them here, not you!" He said, slamming his hoof on the table.
The blue mare lit a cigarette and puffed some smoke into his face, causing him to cough. "Sorry dude. But the bosses are too busy with much more important stuff than some measly coke deal."
He coughed in the smoke and angrily slammed his hoof on the table. "Bitch!" He said, standing up and pulling out a knife, placing it against's the blue mare's throat. "Who the fuck do you think you are!? Do you know who I am!?" He demanded angrily.
The mare grabbed him and lifted him by the throat, "You're a little kid who thinks he's big enough to rough house with the big kids. News flash, you aren't." She said, taking another drag from her cigarette.
He gagged as she lifted him easily with one arm. The stallions behind him aimed their guns at her. "Drop our boss. Now, bitch!"
"Drop the act boys. We both know who you really work for." The blue mare said as she took the cigarette out of her mouth.
"What? What the fuck are you talking about!?" They said to her.
"That mysterious stallion you've been feeding information? That's me. And it's time to switch sides boys."
"....What's the code?" One of them asked.
"Little fish fry first." She answered without missing a beat.
They nodded and put down their guns. "Yep. You're Jess alright. Sorry Scar. But we don't work for you anymore. "
"See, the bosses are tired of you trying to throw your weight around and acting like you matter. They sent me to teach you a lesson."
"W-What!?" He said in shock. "Bitch! I am The one and only Scar! How Dare you treat my like this!?!?" He screamed as she clawed at Jess's wrist.
"You ain't seen nothin' yet." Jess said before shoving her lit cigarette directly into his eye. He screamed in agony as his eye burned up.
Jess dropped him to the ground with a thud, letting him writhe in pain, "Now here's the deal 'Scar', or should I call you Lawrence?"
Lawrence groaned in pain as he clawed at his now completely ruined eye, trying to pull the cigarette out. "Let me get that for you." She grabs and grinds it in his eye before yanking it out.
"Aaaaagh!" He screamed in pain, a red gooey ashy mess drooled out of his eye socket
"Now here's the deal Lawrence. You work for The Octaves now. Anything you do you clear with us. Anything. Got it?"
"Y-Yes!" He screamed in anger.
"Good. Now don't make me come back or I'll take something more important than your eye. Let's go boys." The two of them followed her after Jess had flicked her cigarette onto his pathetic body, leaving Lawrence to roll around in his agony.
A few minutes later Jess walked out of the building, flanked by the two stallions. "You need to survive an hour under my knife without breaking. If you get captured, I won't take the risk that you'll squeal. So you need to prove you won't break." Jess said, cracking her neck.
"Wait, What!?!?!" They said in shock and horror.
"You have a choice boys. You can go home, lead a clean life, and we'll never bother you. But if you try to enlist in a different gang, I'll personally see to it you never live to get your first paycheck. Or, you could survive my torture and become a part if the biggest and best gang there is." Jess said simply, leaving no room for any arguments.
"Nope! Nope nope nope!" One said, throwing down his gun. "I didn't sign up for this! Come on Bro." He said, starting to walk away.
"...I think I'll stay actually," the other one said, staying put.
"Good choice." Jess pulls an envelope out of her jacket, "As for you, here's your last paycheck. I'm a mare of my word, and you did as you were told."
"Wait...Bro...you're going to stay?" He said in shock, even as he took the envelope. "But we've done everything together...."
"I know, but we've been in the mob for so long, I don't know what else I'd do with my life." He said as he poked at the ground.
"We can open that sandwich shop we've always wanted to when we were kids!" He said.
"Tell you what boys. I like you two. I'll finance that little shop of yours. But when the Octaves need money laundered, or they need a safe house, your going to be who we call." Jess said as she lit another cigarette.
"....I'm good with that." The one who wanted to quit said, picking up his gun.
"Good. Now who wants to go first?" Jess said with a grin.
"Me....Let's just get this over with." The one who wanted to quit sighed.
"Alright. Kim! Get this one strapped in!" Jess said as she took a drag of her cigarette, "And get me a fresh pack! I'm all out."
"Wait what? Who's K-" He was cut off as someone placed a bag over his head. She tossed Jess a fresh pack of cigarettes.
"Switch to cigars." Kim said. "We have the money."
"I hate those. They're too bulky." Jess said, tucking the pack into her jacket.
Kim rolled her eyes. "Then be glad The Octaves took us in instead of one of those stupid gangs that require their members to smoke cigars." Kim said as she bound the stallion and put him in the trunk of a blue car.
Jess gets into the driver's seat, "Get in kid."
The stallion nodded as he got into the passenger seat. Kim dragged him out and put him in the backseat. "Newbies ride bitch." Kim said as she got into the passenger seat.
Author's Note
This is the prologue for my next big story. I hope this one will get me to get over my wall of blocks on my story.
Thirty minutes later, Jess pulled the car into the parking lot of an abandoned warehouse. The stallion that wasn't bound noticed it said property of Twilit Books Inc. His eyes widened at the sight of the logo. "That's one of Twilight Sparkle's Companies.....wh...why did you drive us here? Wouldn't she be mad at you for using one of her warehouses?"
"Ask me again after your initiation. Now get out." She says, opening her door.
He stepped outside the car and Kim bound him too. She used magic to carry him as she got his brother out of the trunk.
"Initiation?"
"...Seriously?" Jess deadpanned.
"Oh yeah....right...." He said sheepishly.
Jess and Kim dragged them both into the warehouse. "We doing them both at once or one at a time, Sis?"
"One at a time."
Two hours later, the pair of brothers laid beaten, bloody and breathing heavily at Jess and Kim's hooves. "Faust....that....was horrible."
"At least... At least it's over..."
"You two surprised me. I really wasn't sure you'd make it." Jess said as she finished another cigarette.
"Just....keep up....your end of the bargain...." One of them breathed out.
"That wasn't a bargain." Jess chuckled.
The two stallions were set up and given blankets and coffee. "S-so...when can we start our shop?" The younger one asked.
"After I scope out a location and start construction. A month maybe." Jess told them.
"What do we do in the mean time?"
"Talk to our resident seamstress about uniforms. Talk to our recruiter about hiring chefs. And help me with any hits I get assigned." Jess said as she dug into her coat pocket for her cigarette pack.
"Yes ma'am." The older brother said.
"I have a question." The younger one said after he finished his coffee.
"Let's hear it." Jess says, lighting a new cigarette, "Damn it, I'm out again."
Kim face palmed. "How did you smoke an entire pack in 2 hours!?"
"You know I always chain smoke while I torture ponies!" Jess said, waving her hooves around, exasperated.
"...yes...anyways...my question has to do with the one i asked earlier. You told me to ask about it after our 'initiation'." The younger brother asked.
"Oh yeah. Well let's just say the 'Princess of Books' has some very powerful backers. The same ones who financed her first bookstore."
"Wait..... Twilight Sparkle is personal friends with The leaders of The Octaves!?" The younger one said, putting two and two together.
"Yes she is. Did you know she taught me to read?" Jess says wistfully.
"Just what the fuck did we get ourselves mixed up in?" The younger brother sighed.
"We'll be fine,"the older said.
"Don't worry about all that boys. Just stick with me and you'll be fine." Jess said as she took a drag from her cigarette.
"Yeah, she's like, practically the bosses' kid. They took us in after.....nevermind." Kim said, cutting herself off when Jess gave her a sideways glare.
"Point is, I take care of ponies who do what I tell them."
"We'll keep that in mind, thanks." The younger one said as he stood up and stretched.
"Yeah ,thanks," the older smiled.
"I'll be talking with you boys. Expect a call." Jess said as she finished her cigarette and put it out.
"Yes ma'am."
In the streets of Manehattan, an alabaster unicorn with two toned blue mane and tail. She had on a purple silky button up shirt on underneath a dark red vest. She had no pants on, showing off her blood red cutie mark. She had two prototype magical pistols concealed in the inside of her coat pockets. They were both pearly white with magical engravings on them. She had a pair of purple shades over her eyes and was listening to some music. She was pretending not to notice the group of stallions following her around the city. "Three on the roofs, two cars worth, and four following me on the other end of the road." She counted in her head. She continued to walk, pretending to be oblivious about the stallions following her.
She smirked to herself and rounded a corner, heading down a street that opened into a cul-de-sac. "Seriously guys, if you want to tail somepony, don't make it so obvious, and don't be wearing the same outfit." She said as she pulled the ear buds out of her ears.
The stallions from the sidewalks walked in, followed by the cars pulling in, blocking the only exit of the cul-de-sac, the stallions on the roofs jumped down and the stallions. All in all there were fourteen stallions blocking the exit of the cul-de-sac. "It doesn't matter. We've still got you outnumbered."
"Oh no...what ever will I do? Some big burly stallions have cornered me! Oh woe is me!" She said as mockingly as possible, standing on her hind hooves and placing her foreleg on her forehead like she was gonna faint.
All fourteen of them pulled out tommy guns and aimed them at her.
"Oh no! Guns! My only weakness, how did you know!?!" She gasped, placing her forehooves one her cheeks in a faux shocked expression.
They wordlessly opened fire on her, a barrage of bullets from fourteen tommy guns barreling down at the mare.
As the barrage of led shot at her, she moved at super speed out of the way, appearing to be a blur to everypony present. She pulled out one of her pistols and spun the cylinder on it until it landed on lightning bolt. She aimed the gun at their cars and pulled the trigger, shooting a bolt of lightning that exploded the two black cars.
"How the hell are you moving so fast?" one of them shouted as they continued firing.
Her only response was to dash right towards the one who shouted place the barrel of her pistol at his chest and pulled the trigger. A bolt of lightning punched a hole into his chest and blowing up the area behind him.
This killed four of them in total. "You'll pay for that!" one of the others shouted.
Without even looking, the alabaster mare pointed the one pistol she was using at his head and pulled the trigger, a bolt of lighting burning his head clean off. The others all continued trying to fire at her.
She jumped up, doing a back flip as she did so. While she was upside down, she shot a bolt of lighting right in the middle of the remaining group of the stallions, incinerating half of them, and blowing back the rest. Four of them fell on lampposts, impaling them in their chests. The last one groaned in pain as he landed on his back. The mare landed on her hindhooves, twirling her pistol in her left forehoof as she walked up to him.
"Please... spare me?"
She spun the cylinder in her pistol until it landed on regular bullets. She aimed it at the stallion's skull. "What's my name?" She said simply.
"V...Vinyl Scratch..." he said weakly.
"And what's rule number one of the streets?" She said as she pulled back the hammer of her pistol.
"Don't fuck with the Octaves..."
Vinyl grinned darkly. "You're Faust Damned Right."

Jess groaned as she sat up in bed to answer the phone, disturbing the other pony, "Octavia? Do you have any idea what time it is?"
"I don't care what time it is. You didn't tell me what the results of yesterday's mission was. Has the little shit been dealt with, and has anything else of note happened." Octavia's voice said through the phone, the annoyance clear in her tone.
"Yes, Lawrence has been dealt with. And I got two new recruits." Jess says tiredly, wiping her eyes.
Octavia started tapping her other free hoof on her table. "Good. Good. What are the details with the new recruits." She said as she waved a waiter over and silently ordered some red wine.
The mare in Jess's bed cuddled into her. "Who is it, hon?"
"Don't worry about it, just go back to sleep." Jess tells her, "They're nothing too special, but they're a good investment."
Octavia waited patiently for her wine to show up as she conversed with her one of her top underlings. "How So?"
"They want to open a sandwich shop. It would be a good opportunity to launder some extra money. And we could always use another safe house."
"Hm. I guess. Good work Jess. As usual. The other reason I called you was because Vinyl called me earlier and told me that stallions that apparently worked for 'Scar'...Faust what a pathetically cliche name, tried to gun her down."
"I'll take care of him tomorrow. I'll appoint one of my moles as the new boss." Jess said with a yawn.
"Good. You can get some sleep now." Octavia said as her wine arrived to her table.
"Thanks, night." Jess hangs up and lays back with a groan, "Ugh....I need to plan another hit tomorrow."
Octavia sipped on her wine as she placed down her phone. She kicked her hindhooves up on the table and scoured the....adult restaurant she was in. Looking for any mares that caught her fancy. She sipped her wine as she looked everypony over. She noticed a mare off in a corner by herself. Her coat was a bright orange and she had a white mane and tail. She was dressed in the standard dancing mare's attire for the establishment. She was sitting in a booth drinking a bottle of Fireball Whiskey all by herself. She didn't seem even the slightest bit tipsy.
"Sunbeam! Get your ass on stage or else!" The manager shouted, getting spit all over the mare's face.
"Go fuck yourself." She spat back.
"How dare you!! Get your ass onstage or I will have you thrown to the wolves!!" He shouted, slamming his cane on the ground.
"What did I just say? Go fuck yourself."
He seethed in anger and raised his cane to hit Sunbeam. "Manager?" Octavia said from her booth, causing him to freeze in place. He turned to look back at Octavia.
"Y-Yes Ma'am?" He said with a gulp.
"Beat it, will ya?" She said, jerking her head to the exit.
"Thanks but I've got this." Sunbeam said, her eyes flashing green for a second. She punched the manager in the face. "That's for making the new girl give you a private show!"
"Ow! Bitch!" He shouted, raising his cane to attack.
She ripped it right out of his hoof, slamming him in the stomach with it. "If you make a girl do that again, I'll make sure you're found at the bottom of the sewer canal with a pair of cement loafers!"
"Aaagh!" He coughed, collapsing to the ground and clutching his stomach.
She snapped the cane in half dropping it next to the downed stallion. "Alright. I'm done here." Sunbeam said.
Octavia grinned to herself at Sunbeam's combat prowess. "Rather impressive combat skills for a stripper. What's your story?" Octavia asked as she took a sip of her wine.
"I don't have a story. But if you ask nice, I'll give you thirty minutes in one of the private rooms. at a cost." Sunbeam said as she started to furiously chew one of those gums you take when you try to quit smoking.
Octavia chuckled at 'sunbeam's forwardness. "I don't appreciate being lied to, Miss Tile." Octavia said, revealing she knew more than she was letting on.
The dancer's eyes flashed green once again. "Well. You drive a hard bargain, but I guess I can give you a free show." She said, leading her into one of the private rooms.
Octavia followed her in, cupping her hooves behind her back. She walked on her hindlegs over to the couch and took a seat. "Are you aware of who I am?" She asked as she gently folded her hooves in her lap.
"Shut up and listen you nosy little pony. I don't care if you are the biggest boss in town. If you try to blackmail me I'll suck you dry!" She hissed, staying in her disguise but let on some changeling traits.
Octavia's eyes narrowed. "You think I'm scared of a Changeling? I'd watch your mouth if I were you. Anyways, I came to offer you a job."
"Whatever you're offering, I'm not interested. I'm perfectly fine where I am." She said, starting to chew the gum even harder.
"If it's because you have a sense of protectiveness over the rest of the girls here, I'll take them with me, too." Octavia offered.
"Take a hint pony. I'm not interested." She says, crossing her hooves, "Now do you want a show or not?"
"I came here to get more talent for my organization, whether it be sexual or combat prowess. And I intend to do that....how does a hive of your own sound?" Octavia said with a smirk.
"I am loyal to my Queen pony." She spat, baring her fangs.
Octavia's eyes widened a little in shock. "I see. I had assumed you were a runaway changeling. You have my apologies for my bluntness." She said with a head bow.
Shimmering didn't seem to know how to react to this, "Oh...well...good."
"So...why are you working in a strip club?" Octavia asked as she sipped on her wine.
"Lust is almost as good as love. Look, if you want ask me questions you can do it while I give you a show. Time is love you know."
"....You're hiding something from me...Is there something wrong with your queen?" Octavia asked as she spread her legs for the changeling to give her a show.
"Nothing is wrong pony." She says a she starts her provocative dance.
Octavia sat back and took her dancing in. "You know who I am, so call me by name and not Pony, please."
"Whatever. Nothing is wrong Melody."
Octavia smiled. "That's better. Now I already told you, I don't like being lied to. I genuinely want to help."
"Well I don't need any help." She says getting on top of Octavia to give her a lap dance.
"Yes. You Do. Or rather your Queen does." Octavia said.
"Do not speak of the Queen." Shimmering says, grinding on Octavia's crotch.
"I will do whatever I feel like. And I feel like helping you." Octavia said, her eyes narrowing.
"Your help is unneeded. Now pull your pants down so I can grind on your pole."
"Miss Tile. Tell me what's wrong!" Octavia said.
"Nothing is wrong besides you stupid ponies making it impossible to feed! How am I supposed to feed my daughter when you ponies won't produce any Hive damned love?!"
Octavia frowned at that. "You're daughter is in trouble?"
"In trouble?! She's dying! First you ponies label us a fucking disease! Then you raid our hive! Then you force my daughter to bring herself to death's doorstep to save the few of us that remained!" She screams, tears in her eyes.
Octavia pondered on this. "I've had a few rogue changelings as my friends...I definitely wouldn't call an entire species a disease, nor would any of my friends....Did the ponies that did this belong to factions outside of the Sun Empire?"
"I don't know or care!! My daughter is practically dead because of ponies!! Now shut up so I can milk some emotions out of you to extend her life by a few days!!" Tears are freely flowing down her cheeks now.
Octavia hugged The changeling, freely giving her tons of love.
She weakly fought against her grip, "No! Let me go you Filthy pony!"
Octavia gently patted her back. "It's okay....it's okay....let all the pent up rage out..." she said as she gave the changeling her love.
"I don't need you! My daughter doesn't need you! You're just food.....just food...." she sobs.
"Shhh... shhh....it's okay....it's okay..." Octavia cooed as she continued to give her more love.
Soon, the changeling reduced from her struggle into a limp sobbing mess.
"Shh....Shh....." Octavia said, rubbing her back.
Once she was finished, she gently pulled away from the changeling. "That is twenty liters. Please use itto save your daughter."
"It'll take more than that to save her....you've bought her a month, maybe a little more...."
"No. I will save her with changeling magic and nothing else." She says, pulling away and wiping her cheeks, "If you want to help then find me a reliable source if love."
"Why is that, Tile? Surely we could work together to save her?" Octavia said.
".....come with me. I'll show you why you and your 'tech' can not help her." Shimmering said, opening a portal.
Octavia followed her through the portal, texting Vinyl she'd probably be late tonight.
Vinyl's phone buzzed in her coat pocket as she entered a bar. She took it out and sent a response text back to her wife. She walked inside the establishment, nodding a greeting to the bartender. She headed into the kitchen of the bar and inputted a code into a key pad near a 'supply closet'. The closet spun around inside until it revealed an elevator. Vinyl stepped inside a pressed the sub basement level. About a minute passed and the elevator dinged and the doors opened. Vinyl exited the elevator and walked down the hall. A mare came scrambling up to her. "L-Lady Scratch! Welcome!" She greeted with a bow.
"Yeah yeah, I know it's a shock to see me. No need to bow, just take to her quarters please." Vinyl said.
The mare quickly stood up on her hooves and nodded quickly. "Yes, of course! Right this way please!" She said before leading Vinyl down the hall.
The walls were decorated with all kinds of blades and statues of war heroes in front of purple wall paper. The floor was black tile that gave a distinct Clink! with every hoof step. The hall came to a stop before a grand pair of blood red and gold double doors with white dragons curling around the handles. The unicorn mare that came to greet Vinyl used her magic to open the doors. Vinyl stepped inside, calmly moving to the left as a stallion launched into the wall right next to her. "Busy?" Vinyl asked as she stood in front of the doors to prevent the stallion from escaping.
A tall dark purple unicorn with a scar over one of her eyes stepped out from the shadows of the room. Her eyes were turquoise and her horn seemed to be slowly regrowing itself. "Not at all, Miss Vinyl. This won't take but a second." She said, cracking her neck.
The stallion weakly stood up to his hooves and pulled out a pistol. He aimed it at the purple mare and pulled the trigger. To butler mare and the stallion, it happened in a blink of an eye, but Vinyl saw it all as if it happened in slow motion.
The purple mare brought a hoof to her horn, which glowed a bright red. She had summoned a black katana from her pocket dimension and cut the bullet from the pistol in half. The stallion seemed to shake in a terrible fear as he scrambled to set his pistol to auto fire. He then shot at the purple unicorn with at the rate of a tommy gun. She cut quite a bit of the bullets speeding towards her in half. The ones she didn't cut in half she deflected into the wall. The stallion started to breath heavily when his gun clicked, signalling he was out of ammo. The purple unicorn slowly walked towards him. He patted down all of his pockets, desperately searching for ammo. He found a clip after a few moments and hurriedly loaded it. Just as he pulled back the hammer of the gun, there was breeze as the unicorn swiftly sliced him in half down the middle.
A look of horror permanently etched into both halves of his face as he slowly fell to the ground in two pieces. "Ruby. Clean this filth please." She said as she wiped her sword off of blood as she placed it back in her pocket dimension.
The butler mare nodded and used her magic to incinerate the halves of the stallion, and pick up all the debris, bullets, and bullet casings, as well as clean up all of the blood. She bowed before exiting the room.
"Well now. Always a pleasure to see you work~." Vinyl said with a chuckle. "What was that all about?" She asked as the unicorn went back to her desk after fixing the lights in her room.
"The idiot tried to sell me off brand shitty alcohol." The purple unicorn said as she sat in her office chair.
Vinyl burst into a laugh at that. "Fucking idiot!"
This got the purple unicorn to giggle a bit as well. She took a deep breath before she gained a serious look on her face. "I assume you aren't here for laughs and some good beer." She said as she peaked her hooves.
Vinyl pulled up a chair on the opposite side of the mare's desk. "You're right about that. I'm here about the deal. Have you come to a decision yet?" She asked.
The purple mare nodded. "Yes I have. I decided to accept your proposition. My business will join your organization." She said with a smile.
Vinyl broke out into a big grin at that. She reached out an alabaster hoof out to her. "Well then. I am pleased to Welcome you to the Octaves, Tempest Shadow." Vinyl said with a grin.
Tempest grinned back and took the hoof offered to her and shook it. "Pleasure is all mine, Boss."

The changeling lead Octavia into what may be the smallest hive on Equus. They passed many wounded or crippled changelings, "This is what you ponies do to everything you don't understand."
Octavia looked at all the changelings in horror. They weren't in Sun Empire Land any more, so Octavia's theory was proven correct about other pony factions. "......Miss Tile.....I'll have 100 fresh ponies here for you to siphon off by next week." Octavia said, crushing the wine glass in her hoof.
"Don't expect to get them back.....and thank you." She said, bringing her to the most heavily guarded area of the hive. Which meant the two of the few drones who could stand on their own.
"I have plenty of ponies i can send you that I don't care for, and you are welcome." Octavia said as her phone buzzed with a response from Vinyl.
The guards looked at Octavia in gratitude. Octavia nodded to them as Shimmering led her along.
"Chrysalis!" She said, walking up to a large pod that dominated the room. It was filled with a green liquid and Octavia could see a hazy figure that resembled a pony inside. But a huge portion of it's body was missing, "Mommy brought you a big batch of love!"
There was some slight movement from within the pod. Octavia texted one of her most powerful contacts, Celestia, and asked for 100 sex drunk slaves. "Need. Them. Asap." she typed before pressing send.
"Come up to the top so Mommy can feed you sweetie." Shimmering buzzed to the top of the pod where there was a hole to allow her to feed the injured changeling.
Chrysalis weakly swam up to the top "Just like that sweetie, good job!" Shimmering said with a smile, hiding the great pain it caused her to see her daughter like this. Chrysalis tried to smile back at her.
Octavia was in tears from the spectacle. She quickly gave Shimmering a couple more liters worth of love.
"Mommy has found a brand new source of love! Which means she can make you all better soon!" She says, holding her daughter's cheeks.
"B...better?" Chrysalis said weakly in a raspy whisper.
"Better." Shimmering says, a tear escaping down her cheek.
Octavia wiped the tears off of her muzzle, just in time for new ones to sprout forth. Chrysalis weakly turned to face Octavia.
"Shimmering Tile. You have my word as one of the bosses of The Octaves, that I will do everything in my power to make sure your daughter survives!" Octavia said, still crying.
"I appreciate that and thank you for it, but your sadness will only hamper the progress. Please wait outside while I feed her. I will rejoin you in a few minutes."
Octavia nodded and walked outside of the room. As she leaves she sees a bed roll set up at the base of the pod. It seems Shimmering spends her nights next to her daughter.....Octavia bit her lip to try to suppress the memories and the sadness in her.
"Now then," Shimmering said as Octavia leaves, "Is Mommy's little grub ready for her big meal?"
Y...yes..." Chrysalis said weakly.
"Come here so Mommy can show you how much she loves you little grub...." she said, kissing her deeply and feeding her all the love she could spare. And then a little more.
Chrysalis returned the kiss, feeling the love enter her.
Outside of the room, Octavia had her face buried in her hooves, unable to control her sobs anymore. She feels a pair of chitinous hooves wrap around her. Octavia looked up to see Shimmering's uncharacteristically concerned expression. Octavia just hugged her back and cried harder. After a couple of minutes, Octavia calmed down. She separated from the hug and wiped away the remaining tears.
".....Now it's my turn to ask you what you're hiding. I know my daughter's state is terrible, and very tear inducing, but you don't know either of us....tell me what's wrong." Shimmering said, placing a hoof on her shoulder.
Octavia sighed sadly as she recounted her past experiences. "My wife and I....we....we tried to have a kid once......I miscarried.....and ever since then, I've been too scared to try again.....seeing somepony else with a daughter in such a horrid state just reminded me of old painful memories...." Octavia said as she wiped away the last remnants of her tears.
Shimmering looked at Octavia in shock at this news. Octavia gave her a pained smile. "I vow, on my honor as one of the bosses of one of the most respected syndicates in the world that I won't let what happened to me happen to you." She said, placing a hoof on Shimmering's shoulder.
Shimmering reached a tender hoof to Octavia's own hoof. "Thank....that....that means a lot....Octavia." She said with a small smile. "I'm sorry for being so stubborn earlier....and I'm sorry to hear about your kid....." Shimmering said.
Octavia stood up and stretched. "Don't worry about it." She said, sealing away her feelings about the past behind a mental vault once more.
Shimmering still looked concerned but dropped the subject for now.
"Octavia.....please allow me to treat you to dinner. I must thank you, and I cannot spare a drone to be a servant."
Octavia smiled softly at that. "Sure, but I'm paying." She said.
"Funds are not a problem. I will be paying."
"Are you sure? Looking at the state of your hive....I'm not sure i can accept you spending money on my account." Octavia pointed out.
"Infiltration is our specialty, Octavia. Robbery is all too easy." Shimmering said with a chuckle.
"....Fair enough." Octavia chuckled in response.
"Now besides your wife, I want you to describe your dream date." Shimmering said.
Octavia crossed her hooves. "No."
"I don't want to be your wife while we have dinner, I want to be me...but I can't because you know. Changeling." Shimmering Tile pointed out.
"Alright then. In that case, just be that Sunbeam mare from before when I met you."
"Alright. That works." Shimmering said before changing into Sunbeam.
She then created a new portal to go to a five star restaurant. "Let's get to know each other, yeah?" Shimmering, or rather Sunbeam said.
Octavia chuckled and followed her through the portal.
Vinyl had gone back to the bar front of Tempest's business and ordered a drink. She had started thinking about the time she and her wife tried to have a kid, and she needed some alcohol to wash down her now sour mood.
"Why the fuck am I thinking about this now?" She said to herself.
She took a seat at one of the bar stools. "Give me the hardest shit you have." she huffed to the bartender.
He pulled out a bottle of Grey Goose and a glass. Vinyl picked up the glass and threw it at the wall. "Just leave me the bottle." She said with an irritated glare.
The bartender nodded, used to violent patrons. Normally he'd react differently, but he knew not to fuck with his boss's new boss. He left the mare to her devices and cleaned up the broken glass. Vinyl gave him a tip and enough bits to cover the for the broken glass and the Grey Goose after opening the bottle. She began chugging it until she drank about a fifth of it before stopping. She just sat there for awhile, holding the bottle in one hoof, resting her head in her other hoof.
The Bar continued as if it was a normal day for the next little while before none other than Lawrence and two new gun toting henchman burst into the bar. "Everypony let me see you're hooves!" Lawrence shouted angrily.
He was sporting a brand spanking new red eye patch to go with his red tie and black suit. Everyone present stood up to their hind legs and raised their hooves in the air, Everyone except Vinyl.
Lawrence glared at her with his good eye, not recognizing her right away. "Hey bitch! I said let me see your hooves!" He shouted.
Vinyl ignored him and resumed drinking. Lawrence growled and pulled out a revolver, pointing it directly at the bottle of Grey Goose in Vinyl's hoof and shooting it, causing it to shatter. Glass and alcohol spraying everywhere. The glass bounced off Vinyl harmlessly, but the alcohol splashed onto her clothes and fur. Vinyl smacked her lips and sighed. She placed down the bottle neck, the only remaining part of the Grey Goose bottle that wasn't shattered.
"I thought we dealt with you already." Vinyl said, standing up.
Lawrence was confused by this until Vinyl turned around and showed him her face. Her very, very, VERY pissed off face.
"......fuck." Lawrence said in horror.
Vinyl grabbed the bottleneck and threw it Lawrence. It impaled his good eye. He fell forward and landed on his face, which shoved the bottleneck further into his skull and pierced his brain, effectively killing him. The two gun toting henchman paled in terror at Vinyl's blood red glare. They cried in fear as they brought their guns to their heads and pulled the triggers. Taking the cowards way out was much more welcoming than facing the wrath of a very angry Vinyl Scratch after all.
Vinyl just growled angrily as she stormed out of the building, slamming the door behind her. She texted Jess, telling her not to worry about Lawrence any more, as he had been dealt with. She kept walking and began heading to the down town area of Manehattan.
"I need another drink." She said to herself as she walked.
A few hours later, Vinyl returned home, alone, covered in blood and booze. "-hic- heheheyy...maidz....shtart deh baff...." Vinyl drunkenly slurred.
The maids sighed, hating to see one of the masters of the estate in such a state. "Right away Master Vinyl." They said with a bow before heading to the nearest wash room and drawing a bath, making sure to use the enchanted water that had a sobering affect.
Vinyl took off her clothes and hung up her pistols in a gun rack before heading to the bathroom, jumping into the bath like it was a pool. She sobered up almost the instant she touched the water. She floated on her back in the giant pool of a bath and stared at the ceiling, which was peppered with Star-like lights. She shook her head a bit, getting back into her normal carefree mindset and began swimming around in the bath. She hummed a tune to herself as she swam around, having a bit of fun as she washed herself off of the mess she accumulated over the day.
After about twenty minutes, Vinyl got out of the bath and dried herself off. She slipped on a white whole bodied bathrobe with her cutie mark sewn into it right on the flanks. She left the wash room and walked to stairs, heading for the Master Bedroom. "Octavia won't be back for awhile, feel free to deal with any non Octave business on your own." She announced to all the staff of the estates before heading upstairs to the Master bedroom, and going to bed. She couldn't fall asleep so she just played video games for a few hours until she passed out.
Octavia's phone buzzed. She pulled it out to see that it was a text from Jess telling her that Vinyl had taken care of Lawrence herself. She followed Shimmering to a five star steak house.
"A table for two please." Shimmering said to the front desk.
"Right this way ma'ams." He said before leading Shimmering and Octavia to a secluded table away from any noise from the other patrons of the restaurant.
They got situated and thanked the waiter. "What would you like to drink?" He asked them.
"I'll have red wine, please." Octavia told him, Shimmering ordering the same.
As he left, Octavia decided to break the ice. "So......I'd like to take your hive into my ranks....after we get it fixed up of course."
"You've already done us a great service, I'd be happy to work for you." Shimmering said with a smile.
Octavia smiled back at Shimmering. "I'm glad to hear that." She said happily.
They continued to talk for several minutes, stopping the changeling chat when the Waiter came by with their drinks. "Are you two ready to order or do you need another minute?" He asked them.
"I'll have a medium rare filet mignon with mushrooms, please." Octavia said, closing her menu.
"Hmm....I'll take a well done t-bone." Shimmering said. "20 ounces."
The waiter nodded as he wrote down the orders and took their menus. "Your dishes with be out shortly, miladies." He said before heading off.
"....I have many means of getting you those ponies I promised, don't worry." Octavia chuckled, resuming their conversation.
As if on cue, her phone buzzed with a text from Celestia saying that the slave ponies she requested were ready and that The Lights would bring them to Manehattan by next week. Octavia texted a quick response back to Celestia "You always work so quick, Cellie~." She typed out before pressing send. Octavia showed the text from Celestia to Shimmering, and this seemed to ease her concerns.
"We can definitely manage one more week, especially with all the love you gave my daughter today." Shimmering said with a smile. "Thank you again for that."
Octavia smiled back at Shimmering. "No problem at all. I'd be happy to do it again."
"Giving away so much love more than once in rapid succession could kill you. But thankfully, with the help you're giving us, you won't need to. Just one more week and I'll be able to start mending my hive." Shimmering said, beaming off happiness at the prospect.
Octavia chuckled a bit before continuing their conversation. They kept talking for another twenty minutes or so, they got their meals. "I thought changelings could only eat emotions." Octavia said, the very notion had been bugging (heh) ever since Shimmering offered to bring her to dinner.
"Ah. Yes, that. You see, I am able to eat normal food like any other pony, but unlike the sustenance I get from emotions, I am unable to share the sustenance I get from pony food with other changelings." Shimmering told her as she began cutting into her steak.
Octavia nodded in understanding as she began eating as well. The two enjoyed their meal in peace for the rest of the dinner date.
The mare stepped out into the bank lobby. "The Commander says to tie everyone up. The safe is open." She announced.
"What! Why!? We've done everything you asked of us!" A receptionist mare protests, but secretly she was actually glad that the bank she as working at got hit. She despised working there. They were shuffled up into a line.
"Then keep doing what we say!" The mare shouted to the receptionist.
The receptionist grinned, deciding to come out with her secret. "I do like what you're doing, actually! For all I care, kill me! Fuck this place up!" She said, causing her colleagues to gasp in shock.
"Hmm. Tie them all up." The mare shouted as she picked the receptionist up and took her to the back. "Commander, we might have a potential recruit." she told Jess after bringing the receptionist to her.
"Really?" She said as she drops the stack of gold bars in the rune circle. "Bring her over so I can look her over."
The mare took the receptionist to Jess. She carried herself in a submissive manner as she looked at Jess. The large blue mare looked her over. "...what's your name?" Jess asked her.
"My name is Skystar." The pegasus answered.
"Well Skystar, what makes you think you can join The Octaves?" Jess asked her as she lit a cigarette.
"My life has always been shit. I don't care about my job, this fucking bank, and I don't care about ponies that treat me like shit!"
"I like her spunk." The mare commented. she stuck her hoof out to Skystar. "I'm Blitz Swirl."
Skystar shook her hoof.
"Don't get attached to her, Blitz, she needs to go through initiation."
Skystar gulped a bit but was still excited. "Torturing me or making me kill ponies?"
"Let's start with helping us clear out the safe." Jess said as she puffed her cigarette.
Skystar nodded and got to work with everyone else. The next half an hour is spent clearing out the giant safe, the insane amount of money and gold requiring multiple teleports. Skystar looks around the empty vault and gives off a soft whistle.
Blitz gave Jess a meaningful look. "I'm sorry I pushed so much, Jess...." She sighed.
Jess was silent for a bit, "......meet me in my office after I finish with Skystar's initiation."
Blitz nodded before teleporting away. Skystar looked at Jess curiously. "So....my initiation?"
"Will start now." Jess said before somepony put a bag over Skystar's head.
Some time later the bag was ripped off of her head, she found herself in a pitch black black room with one solitary light above her head. She was strapped into some kind of chair.
"This is your initiation." Jess says from the darkness, "You have to last one hour in The Chair without telling me anything. If you answer a single one of my questions, you'll be sent back where you came from."
Blitz Swirl was playing with Vinyl over Playstation Network. "Boss, how are you so good at this game!?" She asked as she was killed for the tenth time.
"Practice," Vinyl chuckled as she killed her again.
"FUCK!"
Vinyl just laughed harder at that.
"Can we play a co op game now?" Blitz asked Vinyl after she killed her five more times.
"Sure, why not."
There was suddenly a knock on Blitz's door. "I'm playing video games with one of the bosses!" Blitz shouted, hoping to get whoever it was to leave her alone.
"It's me," came Jess's voice.
Blitz froze when she heard Jess's voice. "Boss...may I be excused?"
"Why?" Vinyl asked.
"Commander Jess is here." Blitz told her.
"Sure, then," Vinyl said as she went to a single player game.
Blitz got off of her Play Station and opened the door to her room. Jess was standing on the other side, a neutral look on her face. Blitz ushered her in and went to the kitchen. "Want me to get you some tea? I have the best tea."
"....domestic or imported?" Jess asked, refraining from smoking in Blitz's room.
"I'm from Japan, so imported."
"Alright, I'll have some. " Jess sat down at the counter.
Blitz put on some tea for Jess, sitting across from her nervously. She was scared she blew any chance she had of getting with the mare of her dreams.
"So......you know my heritage." Jess started awkwardly.
"Yes, I do....do you remember that one filly from the palace that followed you everywhere?" Blitz asked nervously.
"You mean the one o had to kick out of room every night? I remember. Now this is the part where you yell me that was you and that you idolize me and want to be with me, right?" Jess guessed.
Blitz gulped and nodded, expecting for her to punch her.
"If you tell anypony that I am the Crowned Princess of Japan, and I mean anypony, I'll send you back to your family in a box."
"......I told the bosses....." Blitz admitted, now starting to cry,
Jess clenched her jaw, but didn't say anything. Blitz began to sob. She ruined everything already!
".....how much did you tell her and how long ago?"
"I told them that your mother was Unwavering Blade of the Kurosaki Clan, I left out the princess part..." Blitz admitted.
"....so you lied." Jess said simply.
Blitz nodded sadly. "I'm sorry..." she said, placing a hoof on her revolver. Maybe she should just end it here.
"Don't even think about it. If you really are that little filly, you know that's not what I want."
Blitz placed her hoof on the table. "I know you and Kim disowned yourselves from the royal bloodline....and Blade wishes she was your mother....I was actually part of her Yakuza Clan for awhile."
"Look Blitz, I know you want to be with me. But it's not going to happen. And not because you told them about my heritage. Because I don't want a relationship with anypony."
"Look kid, if you just want to have a good time I'll rut your brains out, sure. But I'm not going to be your marefriend."
Blitz's ears folded back in sorrow. "I wanna be your marefriend....please....give me a chance......"
"I'm not going to get into a relationship."
Blitz began to sob again. "One chance....please Jess...."
"..........I'll let you take me on a date. But I'm not going to be your marefriend."
"Okay...." Blitz said sadly.
"I need to go Blitz. I'm sorry." Jess said as she stood up and moved to leave.
"But...but...."
"It's not you Blitz...there's something I need to to do."
"Okay..."
Jess left the room and went to her own room. She sat on the edge of her bed, staring at her full length mirror as she turned off her glamour spell to reveal the runic symbols etched into her skin and coat, ears, and even eyes. "I'm not who you think I am...." She said to herself as she remembered when she got the runes.
Years ago in an enchanter's shop, the shop keeper, a crystal pony named Runiel, was sitting in his shop, smiling gently he as she draws on a canvas. He was an enchanter, with the talent of Runic Magic. A large blue mare in her late teens came into the shop, covered in a black cloak. She walks up to the counter. "Are you Runiel?"
He looked up and smiled as she turned back to his art. "Perhaps....who're you, coming in here all shifty-like, wearing a shady cloak?" he chuckled, making the canvas float away and go up on a shelf.
"Let's just say that I'm not exactly a very popular pony in this area," She said, taking off her hood, "My name is Unyielding Shield.
"Oh my....And for what reasons are you here?" He asked as he got up. His horn glowed faintly and some stuff began moving around the room. "Better bring out my A-Game for you then...What do ya need?"
"I've been told that you know how to enchant ponies with abilities they couldn't obtain otherwise," She said.
"Well...surely with enough magic you can do just about anything really...but yes...I can place enchantments on the body and even in the body if you'd like...but just so you're aware, it would leave a mark on your skin if I were to enchant it."
"That's not a problem. Here's a list, give me an estimate." Jess levitated a list of enchantments over to him,
"Hmm..." He said as he looked the list over.
The mare's handwriting was a little lacking, but Runiel was able to make it out. The list said she wanted to be able to not need to breathe, have better senses, and be super durable.
"Damn...Going to war or something?" He asked as he looked over the list and then back at her. "All this combat stuff and no strength enhancement?"
"It's not necessary. Trust me."
"You said money's not an issue for you right? Why not go all out?" He asked.
"Not necessary. But what else would you add to the list?" She asked him.
"Well...other than increasing your reflex a bit and some general ability enhancements, not much really...the total would be around 100,000 bits I'd say." Runiel told her.
"Cash or Credit?"
"We take credit...on most payments....I'll give you the special treatment and let you pay this one all in credit though. He smirked. "I know you're good for it.
"Alright. Where are we doing it? In the back?"
"Follow me," He got up and walked into a separate room.
She followed him closely, looking around the room. There were a few symbols here and there around the room, as well as sets of quills and needles. There were many different inkwells and other things in the room. "Lay down on the bed there."
"This will be permanent right?" Jess asked, taking off her cloak any laying on the bed.
"Yes. They will all remain on you as long as you don't have someone change them. They'll even work at about 25% functionality under anti-magic effects."
"You're doing it under the skin, right?" She asked him.
"Well...indestructible runes are best placed on the bone....that will be uncomfortable..." Runiel told her.
"That isn't a problem. How long will it take?" She asked.
"A few hours...if we get to work now."
"Then let's get started." She said determinedly.
He began to work on her, carefully and painstakingly inscribing runes over her body, and on her bones. After some time"GAAAAH!!!!" She screamed in pain as she clenched her eyes shut, her newly heightened senses finding the light unbearable.
She calmed herself down after a few minutes and tried again, preparing herself this time. It was still painful, but she managed to control it to the point where she could fully open her eyes. She looked her body over and nodded approvingly.
"Thanks, Runiel." She said before paying him.
She then left the shop.
Back to Present day, Jess looked herself over in the mirror once more. She sighed to herself as she placed the glamour back on and pondered life to herself.

A Change for the Changelings
A week later, Twilight and Starlight arrived with the 100 slaves in tow. "All of them have been freshly broken by Mother herself!" Twilight told Vinyl and Octavia.
The two mares looked them over and nodded approvingly. "Fast work as always, guys." Vinyl said with a grin. "Let's get these fuckers shipped to Shimmering,"
They nodded and everyone present got to work on getting them to the Changeling's hive.
"Are the pods ready Pharynx? Those ponies will be here any minute..." Shimmering asked as she paced around.
"Yes My Queen." Pharynx said. "I got the last one set up just now."
Shimmering sighed in relief. "Good. Have you heard from Thorax yet? Is he in position?" She asked him.
Pharynx nodded. "Yeah, he's been waiting for ten minutes now."
Shimmering nodded at this information. "Good. Open up the portal while I check on your mother."
Pharynx nodded and ran off to do as he was told. Shimmering sighed and walked towards her daughter's room. Chrysalis turned her attention towards her mother. Shimmering put on her happy face as she buzzed up to the top of the pod, "How are you feeling my little grub? The new love sources are almost here!" She said in a happy tone of voice.
Chrysalis smiled at that. "...Go....od...."
"Mommy is going to pick out the perfect pony for you to eat little grub....Do you want a filly or a colt?" Shimmering asked, using small words for Chrysalis' fragile state.
"F-Filly..." Chrysalis got out, her voice getting raspier.
"Okay little grub...Mommy will be back soon," Shimmering gave her a small bit of love as a snack.
Chrysalis eagerly ate it all up.
"Mommy loves you little grub..." Shimmering said before leaving.
"Lo....ve....too...." Chrysalis coughed.
Soon, Vinyl, Octavia, Twilight, and Starlight guided all one hundred slaves through the portal. Twilight and Starlight made sure to emanate plenty of love for each other as well to help the changelings. Shimmering walked into the court yard that they were all in right now.
"Which mare is in the best condition?" Chrysalis needs a meal. now." Shimmering asked.
Vinyl brought forth a rather healthy looking mare and pushed her to Shimmering. The Changeling looked her over before nodding. "you'll do."
"I am eager to please in whatever way I can, Ma'am." The mare said, completely broken.
"Good. Follow me." Shimmering lead her to Chrysalis, the mare following her happily into the chambers.
"Chrysalis! Mommy brought you your meal!" Shimmering called out.
Chrysalis's eyes and ears perked up. Shimmering turned to the mare and grinned evilly at her. "I hope you like pain."
"Yes, I do," The mare said with a nod.
"Good." She grinned before biting into her neck, paralyzing her.
The mare smiled as she was paralyzed.
"Where does Sunbutt find you freaks?" Shimmering chuckled as she picked her up and flew to the top of the pod. "Are you ready to eat, little grub?" Shimmering asked her daughter.
"Y....es...."
Shimmering nodded. "Alright honey. Remember, drain her of love, then eat her!" Shimmering said as she dropped the mare into the pod with a splash.
Chrysalis opened her muzzle and started to drain the mare of all the love she had, pink streams flying into her maw. This caused the mare to let out a loud moan. Chrysalis continued draining the mare of all she had. Shimmering laid down in her bed to watch. "Good job little grub! A bit more and she'll be ready to eat!"
Chrysalis milked her for all she was worth, soon completely draining the mare. Chrysalis looked to Shimmering.
"She's ready to eat now, dear! Do it however you want." Shimmering said with a smile.
Chrysalis took the mare into her hooves before she shoved the mare's rear legs into her mouth. The mare moaned loudly as she was eat. Soon, she'd be nothing more than nutrients for the changeling consuming her. Chrysalis slowly worked her way down the mare's body, the mare moaning the entire time. Chrysalis soon got to the mare's neck, licking it as she did. This caused her to let out one last loud moan. Chrysalis then proceeded to swallow the mare the rest of the way. Shimmering watched with satisfaction as the mare was digested, her body slowly repairing itself. Starting with her brain and head. Chrysalis shuddered a bit, the sensation of her body healing felt a bit weird, but not painful.
"Do you feel better my little grub? Can you think more clearly now?" Shimmering asked.
"...Y-Yes Mom....Thank you for the meal..." Chrysalis said, her voice less raspy, but it was clear she still needed to heal more.
"We can't over tax your body, so it's one meal a day," Shimmering said gently.
"Understood Mother..." Chrysalis said with a nod.
"I'll be back...I must thank Octavia and Vinyl for this. I Love you my little grub."
"I love you too Mother..." Chrysalis got out.
Shimmering found Octavia and Vinyl in the same courtyard as before. She walked up to Octavia and hugged her tightly, crying tears of joy, "Th-Thank you...." She cried.
Octavia smiled and hugged her back. "It was no problem at all," she told Shimmering
Shimmering shook her head, still crying. "You don't understand....she can talk....she can talk and think now...." Shimmering as she began sobbing.
Octavia just held the changeling and let her cry. Eventually her sobbing slowed and her tears ran dry, "......I must thank you. Now. It cannot wait any longer."
"You can thank me after we save your hive," Octavia said, placing a hoof on her shoulder.
Shimmering shook her head before looking up at her and smiling. "You already have." She smiled. "Thorax!" Shimmering called for her grandson.
Thorax ran up to the group. "Yes?"
"You are this mare's servant now. You will go with her and do anything she says." Shimmering stated matter-of-factly.
"Yes, Grandmother." Thorax said obediently.
"Now hold on, we don't need or want to take your grandson off of your hooves." Octavia said with concern in her voice.
Shimmering shook her head. "It's too late. He will follow you whether you want him to or not." She told them.
Octavia waved her hooves in a no motion. "No no, you and your hive joining The Octaves is more than enough, Shimmering." Octavia told the Changeling.
"Please, Octavia. This is a traditional way for changelings to express their thanks, and begin repaying their debts." Shimmering insisted/
"I'd really rather not do this...." Octavia sighed.
"Well that's just too damn bad. I'm thanking you this way whether you want it or not." Shimmering said sternly, crossing her hooves.
Octavia gave an exasperated sigh. "You have a funny way of showing gratitude..." She sighed.
"You could just keep him in the bedroom if you want, he's served me well there~!" Shimmering said, looking at her grandson's cute ass.
Thorax gave his ass a wiggle.
".....And now I'm sold." Octavia said, causing Vinyl to burst into laughter.
Octavia walked over to Thorax and roughly pinned him to the ground and shoved her cock into his ass. She let out an impressed whistle. "Damn! He's really tight and warm! Vinyl, you HAVE to try him out!" Octavia said with a grin.

Vinyl's phone buzzed. She picked it up to see it was a text from Jess saying she was in enemy territory getting ready to rob a bank on enemy syndicate payroll to attract the attention of their enemies. "Do it as professionally as you can. It'll piss them off even more." Vinyl texted back.
"Will do ;3." Was Jess's response.
"Alright boys, this is your chance to earn a promotion." Jess said to the ponies suiting up for the robbery, "Remember, do what I tell you, when I tell you, and you'll each get a bonus and brownie points with me."
"Yes ma'am!" they shouted. Most of them were very eager.
"Alright, I'll take out the guards, as soon as you hear the first gunshot move in. And no shooting civilians. We don't need that kind of heat right now."
A few of them pouted at that, but the rest nodded.
"Any last minute questions?" Jess asked as she pulled out a pack of cigarettes. She took one out and lit it and began puffing away.
"No ma'am!"
"Good." Jess said, getting out of the windowless van and walking across the street to the First Equestrian Bank, calmly smoking her cigarette despite the no smoking sign as she stepped inside.
The large mare quickly made note of the five armed guards stationed around the room, and if her contact was right, which she always was, only the third teller had a panic button. She smirked and got in line for the third teller, making a show of blowing her cigarette smoke to attract a guard. Sure enough, one of the guards came close to her. She pretended not to notice, taking a long drag from her cigarette as she moved up in the line.
"Ma'am," the guard said.
Again she feigned ignorance, letting out a large cloud of smoke.
"Ma'am!" the guard shouted
She turned to look at him calmly, "Can I help you rent-a-cop? I need to make a deposit."
"You're not allowed to smoke in here. Do it outside." He said, crossing his hooves.
"I have ten minutes to make a deposit and these imported smokes cost me a pretty penny. I'm not wasting any of them." Jess said simply.
The guard reached for the cigarettes. She flicked the embers of her lit cigarette into his eyes, causing him to scream in pain and rub at them. Jess grabbed him before the other guards can react, and threw him through the teller's stand, destroying the panic button. The teller screamed in shock before the guard hit her.
Jess looked to see the other guards drawing their sidearms, "You'll need more than that to take me down," She taunted as she resumed smoking her cigarette.
They ignored this and opened fire on her.
She stood there and smirked as the bullets pinged uselessly off her body, "That all you got boys~?" She said with a grin as she puffed some smoke towards them.
As the guards continued to fire in effectively on her, her gang members started entering the building.
"Everyone flat on their barrels NOW!" She boomed in a commanding voice, "And you four drop your guns and do the same unless you want hot lead to be your last meal!"
Everyone immediately did as she said. The tellers hid behind their booths, one of them trying to call the syndicate worked for on her phone.
"I can see you back there! Make that call and you're dead!" Jess shouted.
The mare eeped and dropped her phone.
"Good. Now then, where is the manager? And don't try to lie, I don't like liars."
"Let me try that again." Jess said as she took a Tommy Gun from the stallion next to her and unloading half the clip in the air. "WHERE IS HE!?!?!"
"He's in the back...." The mare whimpered, speaking english now.
"Good girl. Two of you come with me," Jess said, giving the stallion his gun back.
Two of the gang members nodded in acknowledgement and stepped forward. One of them kicked the door down and then quickly ducked behind the when the manager shot at her.
Jess walked into the hail of gunfire, the bullets having no effect on her, "Give it up buddy, before you ruin my suit." Jess huffed, flicking her cigarette away.
"Fuck you!" he said, continuing to fire at her.
The mare walked in behind Jess, using her as a cover and pulled out a high tech looking revolver. "Permission to kill?" She asked her superior.
"No, we need him to tell his bosses what happened." Jess said.
The mare nodded and holstered her gun.
"You're not getting my money." The manager shouted.
"It's not your money buddy," Jess said as she walked up to him, cracking her knuckles.
"It's mine to protect." He said angrily.
The mare sat back with a grin. "I love watching you work."
Jess ripped the gun out of his hooves and hit him in the stomach with it. He groaned as he fell back. "Now take us to the vault." Jess ordered.
"Make me," he spat in her face.
She caught it in her magic and vaporized it, "My tool kid please." She says, holding out her hoof.
The mare placed a leather pouch in her hoof. "Last chance. Take us to the safe." Jess said as she opened the bag.
He glared at her before sighing and opening the backdoor. "Fine."
"Good boy." Jess handed the pouch back and followed closely.
Fucking bitch," he muttered under his breath as they walked.
She kicked the back of his knee, causing him to groan in pain, "Shut up pussy." Jess growled. "Now move." She said, shoving him forward.
He grumbled as he continued walking forward. The safe door was as big and as bulky as it could be and still function. It was at least 15 feet wide and 10 feet tall. It was made of reinforced solid steel.
The manager smirked to himself. "I don't have the code. You'll never get inside," He said with a cheeky grin.
"Watch me." She said, shoving him to the side, "You two, start drawing the teleportation rune!" She ordered to her subordinates.
They nodded and got to work. "Pffft! That steel is a foot and a half thick!" The manager bragged.
The two subordinates of Jess's in the room snickered. "This idiot doesn't know what's coming." The mare chuckled.
"Let's get this out of the way first." She says, grabbing the massive wheel in the center of the door and pulling. It popped off without any trouble at all.
"What the hell?!" the manager shouted.
She hefted it for a moment before tossing it aside, "You guys went for Chinese steel didn't you? You stupid Equestrians, Japan makes the best steel out of anypony."
"Most of our hardware is Japanese right?" The mare asked her fellow gang member.
"Yeah," he nodded in response.
"How's that rune coming?!" Jess yelled over the sound of steel creaking and groaning as she started to peel the front of the door off with her bare hooves, deciding to start from the bottom corner.
"Almost done Commander!" The mare said.
The manager's face was comical in the shock he was experiencing watching Jess work. She ripped the crumpled slab of metal away to reveal the inner workings of the safe, "Hey, I remember this model!" Jess said with a smile.
"Huh." The woman said. "Cool. What's it from?" she asked.
"This is the model Vinyl used to train me!" Jess said, uncharacteristically giddy.
"Oh! That's actually cool! It was harder to break in before, huh?" The mare said with a grin as she finished the rune.
"Yeah, The Boss taught me how to figure out the combinations. Not that I need them anymore." She says as she starts gutting the safe door, throwing the pieces into a growing pile.
The manager just continued to stare in shock as she worked.
"So what's your paycheck like?" She ask him, "Any benefits?"
The manager blinked a few times before answering. "Uh...I pretty much get the works," he answered, unsure of where she's going with that.
"Really? Your loan history says otherwise." Jess pointed out.
"What do you mean by that?" The manager asked nervously.
"Don't play dumb. You've lost a lot of money gambling. More than you could possibly hope to repay." Jess said, revealing she knew quite a bit about the stallion.
His eyes widened at her words.
"And I know your creditors are getting....impatient..." Jess finished.
"....how do you know about all of this?" The manager asked.
"Because I always do my research. Especially when it comes to potential moles," Jess answered.
"What's in it for me?" He asked, crossing his hooves.
"Well for one, you don't die today." Jess said as she finished destroying the door.
"Fine." He sighed, crossing his hooves.
"Good. One of you, take him back to where we found him and shoot him in the knee. It needs to look real." Jess said.
The mare grabbed the manager. "Come on," She said.
"Wait what? I don't wanna be shot in the knee!" He complained.
The mare through him forward and pressed her revolver into the back of his head. "I can shoot you in the head if you'd prefer!" She growled.

"That's what I thought. Now quit being a pussy and come the fuck on," She said, pulling him by his foreleg.
He resumed walking after her. They reached his office and She threw him to the ground and shot him in the knee. "I used a special little bullet. You squeal on the commander, and Pop ."

The mare walked back into the room. "He's been crippled." She said as she holstered her gun.
"Good." Jess said as she starts punching the last of the door, each hit leaving a deep imprint of her hoof in the steel.
The mare stared at Jess's flanks as she worked.
"You thirsty, rookie?" Jess smirked.
"Yes Ma'am." the mare said eagerly.
"You've been staring at me every chance you've had since you joined."
"You're one of the most decorated members of the syndicate. Right up there with the likes of Sunset Shimmer and Trixie Lulamoon....I uh...I....I have a poster of you in my room." She admitted with a sheepish blush.
"I told pipsqueak to stop making those..." Jess said with a scowl.
The mare's ears folded back with worry. "Sh-Should I tear it down?"
"....no..." Jess said with a sigh, "I just don't like being put on a pedestal like I'm somepony to look up to. I'm not that kind of pony."
"Forgive me for my bluntness commander, but that's definitely not true. You definitely are that kind of pony!"
"No. I'm. Not!" She yelled, her hoof punching through the metal.
The mare flinched at this. "Jess...listen to me....whatever you did in your past...no one in The Octaves will look at you any different....we're a fucking Crime Syndicate....Everyone who's joined has their dark secrets..."

Jess paused at this. "We'll talk about this later. Tell everyone the safe is open and to start tying everyone up, then get back here and start moving this money to the rune."
