Riverland Ponies Resistance
Abolitionist
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAs day broke clear a month later Grover had decided that it was time he went and found out in person what all this commotion was about in the Flussland.
Stroling through the countryside into Flussland, there were buildings built up next to ones that had been destroyed when war broke, ponies and griffons working together in harmony.
Grover's royal carriage was entering town as the sun was dimming behind the rivers. Crowds of people that where there had dispersed into their homes that lined the lit streets, to him it felt like a ghost town.
The carriage stoped and out walked Grover, he looked but saw no creatures of any kind, except for one. A pony sitting on the head of the three rivers staring out into the abyss, Grover pull his sword at the ready. As Grover walked toward the pony, sword by his side, he noticed a griffon walk up and take a seat next to the pony. Grover paused in his tracks, he put his fathers sword away and approached the two carefully whom seemed to be emerged in chit chat.
As he approached the two he heard crying, what Grover didn't see was a little Pony-griff, swimming in the river. As he pulled his sword from his side a griffon was finishing their shift and saw Grover, she screamed with happiness, that the prince of country was walking through her town.
Grover froze, and struggled to put the blade back into his scabbard, at the same time the two looked behind them to see Grover struggling with the sword. The two approached Grover who stumbled ontop of himself still struggling to get his sword back into the scabbard.
Grover stopped struggling to see the the two were towering over him. The griffon bowed while the pony stood still motionless staring him down.
Need some help? He asked. Whilst Grover got up and responded with a sharp no.
The two started to walk away before Grover responded actually he paused. The two stopped and turned to listen to what he had to say. Can I please have some assistance finding a place to stay tonight?. The griffon look at the young prince, looked at the pony and responded You may stay with us tonight.
As he followed the pair he nodded to the griffons carrying the carriage and left. He followed the two ponies along the riverside, before they stopped at a small house on the outskirt of town next to the river. The house was small cozy, not at all like his palace but it would do for the night.
"Now you must be hungry after that voyage your highness".
"I am a little famished I will admit."
"Would you like to join us for dinner?"
"I'd be glad too, we haven't meet before I'm sorry what's your name?"
"Mily, now this way"
As Grover walked into the dining room he saw the pony just reading the paper, disgusted he took Mily back into the kitchen and closed the door.
"What kind of griffon lets such a pony mock in their house!" He exclaimed in anger.
Frightened by what Grover would say next Mily took her time to answer "he, is my, husband, my lord.
Amazed by what this griffon has just said, he decides to let it slip his mind Very well, lets just have dinner.
The next day turned out to be a stormy one, with many creatures playing games inside, but work was still the norm in the country.
So Grover went to the newly established embassy of residents. Whilst he stayed there he noticed the pony who had been married to the griffon, and so he got up and followed silently without disturbing the nature of the quiet city.
Soon he walked into a what seemed like a court house, and so did Grover trying to make as little noise as he could. However what Grover couldn't help but see was how many ponies and creatures of kind still worked and lived in the streets without and problems.
Once inside he took to the stands which were very empty however, being such of high royalty was noticed by the griffons of the house, and brought into the light of the room. Turns out that Grover has walked in on a meeting of the people about the government, to which Grover does not know of.
So the rumours are true, there's a rebellion on my claws. Just as he says this, royal guards of the throne came bordering the exits.
Sieze them! Don't leave a creature behind Grover roared!
As one of the ponies walked past Grover head down, he heard Grover whisper "tsk tsk Mily would be disappointed in you".
Fur was with his mum strolling through the streets. Being the only demigriff in town had its perks, but its disadvantages.
The two heard cheering and booing coming from the Court house where Dad worked, and they were having a vote on who should be elected for the new town mayor. With dad nowhere to be seen within the facility, Fur took it upon himself to take his fathers role till he got back.
(In the town anyone can assume role of mayor. However to have permanent status the permission of Grover is required.)
Once taking the stand the crowd went silent. Wondering why the crowd had gone quiet, he heard the doors open. As he turned he saw Grover the 6th and behind him were creatures in hoof cuffs. One of which was his father.
He turned to the crowd, "Disperse along the battle field, now diversity sets us apart from our goals".
As the prisoners where taken to the carriages. Grover stopped and looked at the demigriff to see what he had to say.
"Today is a prime example of this" as he was saying this he couldn't take his eyes off of his dad nor the fact of losing his parents again. "Give us a chance to show you that we have changed and that we are willing to co-operate, just let our families go." Fur was almost in tears once he stopped to look at Grover
Grover looked toward the crowd and asked them, "Do you the citizens want change? If so raise your claw." As he said this Paws and hooves where raised but not a single griffons claw was raised. "Look I see what you are doing, we've had this for weeks so if you ain't gonna make this even, we ain't gonna co-operate".
Grover looked at him stared him from his claw to his muzzle. "It's unfortunate that your a demigriff or I would've listened to you". With that Grover turned around and walked to wards his chariot.
He turned back to look at the crowd stared Fur in the eye's and rode towards Grieffenheim.
