//-------------------------------------------------------// An umbrella for chaos -by Ninjachris01- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A light sprinkle //-------------------------------------------------------// A light sprinkle The rain barely touched me with my trusty umbrella protecting me. It was rather plain looking, but I've grown attached to it over the years. It's been a few days since I've been out of the phyc ward and have learned nothing. Adults just never seem to get us and just make things worse. Smiling and nodding seems to always do the trick and then they will just let you out. It was nice to walk in the rain. The cold wind howling against my face and the sting of the cold hurting everywhere. I have no one to go to. No friends. No family. No one. Not even a home. But that doesn't matter to me anymore. Nothing really matters to me anymore. Right now I'm practicing my balance again. Trying to balance on the power line gets easier over time, but I'm working on speed. Ever since I became homeless I've been working on my body. Some of my major strengths are that I'm quick on my feet, rather intelligent, am good at parkour, I can manipulate anyone, and doing whatever it takes to survive. I think at least, there's no one to tell me if it's true or not. Don't ask about the last one. While living on the streets you see the darker side of things. When you're homeless, humans show you there ugly sides. When that happens enough times you grow a certain hatred and cruelty yourself. Because that's when the mind wants revenge and blames everyone else. But to be fair, it is all there fault that this happened to me and I'm in no way to blame for any of this. There is one rule you must remember when living out here. Rule one is that there is no rhyme or reason. There is just chaos. But after awhile you get used to the chaos and can actually adapt and enjoy it. Maybe it's just me but that's how I understand it and I've grown a fondness for the chaotic. Walking on this empty road with the rain coming down in buckets just thinking to myself. In the distance there is an outline of something I can't make out. The movement is so odd and I just can't wrap my head around it, so I'm thinking it ain't no human or pet. The movements are god-damned gelatinous, like it has no bones. I thought I was hallucinating or maybe I found a new species but I'll never know. Because that's not what killed me. No the car with a sleeping driver going way over the speed limit killed me first. Then there was nothing. I was just frozen in place. The car almost completely over me with my body mangled. The umbrella has become a part of me now apparently. There's a lot less pain then I expected. "You are rather calm given the circumstances." Said a voice that was from . . . ? Above me? . . . Behind me? Whatever Looking up the gelatinous creature was closer then before. Though he is very close I still couldn't see him, only his outline. "Well I'm already dead so what point is there in arguing? I would like to know where I will be heading, though I'd like to mention that I'm not a fan of heat." Talking to this thing is oddly nice and yet all my nerves are shot, but that could be the car. "You got the wrong one to talk to about that kid. However I do have a job offer." "Does it come with any life insurance? Cause I might need that right about now." "Ha! You're funny! This job will require you to cause chaos you will be rewarded of course...." "You had me at chaos, sir blob thing! Where do I sign and can you sign it for me? My arms are occupied at the moment." "Well that was easier then expected! And on the first try too! Something tells me you will do better then discord and yes there's life insurance." "So when do I -" "now" There was a sharp cracking sound and then everything changed. The world crumbled away into glass shards unlike how I thought it would be (which was ones and zeros). Behind the shattered glass there was some sort of forest. Looking around the car was gone and I was fine. I should have looked down and watched that peace of shit rock. But that doesn't matter now. As I get up I notice a weight on my back. When looked at it appears to be a book taped on. But screw reading! Adventures await! When I try to move I realized that my foot was chained to the ground. "Fuck you mister blob thingamajig! Making me read and shit." No! Fuck him! I'm going to sit right here for however long It takes. It's a rather nice forest all in all with there being a little light, many trees, wolves made out of wood and sticks coming towards me, a panicking human chained to the ground. It's got it all! Looking around there is nothing around me to defend myself with. Just my umbrella. Well this is my only option and they do say out of sight out of mind. Quickly opening up the umbrella I close my eyes and brace myself but the impact never came. When I opened my eyes I seemed to be in a bubble and it is starting to float. The chain won't let me get that high up but it's a decent height. Well, there is nothing else to do but read the book (once I get it off my back). They had taped it to the exact center of my back Which is even more annoying. It was like chasing my own fucking tale! It took an eternity to get a hold of it. The book is titled "Chaos for Dummies" which is rather condescending. But chaos is disorder which is disarray and that leads to confusion but if there's a lot of that it causes anarchy and anarchy is fun so I might as well read it. After a quick nap of course. This bubble is rather uncomfortable but it smells nice and has a nice view so I might as well rest. How long has it been since I had uninterrupted sleep? Two maybe three days? So screw this, I'm taking a lunch break.
