She had done a mistake that would make her pay for the rest of her suddenly short life. She had decided to fight, and it was the worst thing she ever decided to do in her life. She was running through the No Man's Land, trying to avoid the spiked fences all around and the land mines threatening to make her life even briefer. Her left arm had a hole in it, right under the shoulder, piercing from front to back into the arm and leaking a long trail of blood onto the ground and the rest of her arm. The hole was shatteringly painful. She didn't know what pain was before. Now she knew. She kept moving, trying to keep her left arm from bouncing back and forth. She was in a very bad situation but she couldn't dare look behind her. Everything was an enemy, she already saw it in front of her, so why care look at the soldier chasing her? At some point though, she made another mistake. Her left arm, which she left uncared for and dangling, got itself into a spiked fence. She couldn't help but yell in pain, as she was yanked back by the fence, and she held her arm close, trying like a childish to suppress the pain. Her vision blurred, and she thought she would go unconscious. It would have been a nice end to die while not seeing it... She would have loved to fall asleep and get shot... "Finally down... I have run after you for hours now... Did that bullet did you good, cutie..?" She grumbled as her blurred eyes saw the soldier who shot her. "I... Do... Don't... Care..." Her rough, pained voice was only able to say that before she fell limp against the ground, falling down into a peaceful slumber before suddenly, a gun shot woke her up. She opened her eyes, and looked at the bullet in the air, as she then looked at the man, whose face froze as well. She knew this was not an effect of early dying. Her brain didn't do that. It felt too real. The background shots and explosions stopped and she slowly stood up, feeling the pain in her arm ease up and disappear. She looked around, and for the first time in years, inspected her outfit. She was wearing complete rags, of what was once a beautiful dark red uniform with an Eagle fiercely throning onto an insignia on the shoulder. But now, the Eagle was gone, replaced by her bare shoulder. She forgot about how pretty her body looked. She was sure one of the finest in the soldier ranks. But she stopped thinking about that a while ago. She started thinking about how effectively she could kill as many people as possible within a small lapse of time. She looked away towards the man again, his face frozen with a chuckle. He wore the same red uniform, with an Eagle insignia as well. She was a deserter, so it was obvious someone from the same army would come for her first. This man was way more experienced than her, she could know that just by looking at the man's uniform. So much cleaner and fuller. Her uniform exposed half of her body, and while it was nice to feel less weighted, it surely was not for the missing armor. She then chuckled, a sick smile coming to her face. She walked toward the man, in an exhausted manner. She really couldn't walk much. She then leaned down to reach for his pants, grabbing his war knife. She looked at the blade, her eyes shimmering with sick curiosity. She loved that blade! She lost her own while killing a few soldiers, but this was fine art. She would keep it! And surely use it. She smirked, as she straightened up and raised the knife in the air, before slashing at the man, as the head nearly slipped from the body, and the two fell to the ground. But that was weird. Time was frozen just a moment ago! She looked around again and at the trees suddenly surrounding her. She had changed her location. This didn't look like the No Man's Land at all. "Freeze! You are under arrest for murder, creature!" A strong, manly voice rang from behind her, and she raised a brow as she looked back, toward a way shorter being. It looked like a fluffy pony... And it had armor on? And a horn? Okay, so that was very weird. She turned towards the creature, and crossed her arms. The bold move made the creature nervous, that's what she wanted. "And if I don't? Are you going to kill me like I killed this jerk? Come on, leave me alone. I need to find a way out of this place..." She didn't care about the pony. She cared about going back to civilian land. She was going crazy of course, she was having hallucinations. She was still in the No Man's Land, and she was still in danger. So she turned around and started to walk, only for another pony in armour to get in her way. She swiftly looked around her and straightened her grip on her newly acquired knife. There were five of them, three hiding in trees and waiting to ambush her if she made a move. There were trees all around her, too dense to move through. The only way out was behind the pony who just stepped out. "I mean... You don't exist, so..." She shrugged a bit and smiled, deciding to walk toward the pony. She examined it. Blue fur, green mare, and another horn. She really was deep in it for hallucinations like this. As she walked, she saw the pony's horn glow a faint green, and cuffs suddenly appeared around the two hands of the girl. She grumbled and looked at her hands. The metal was weak, so if she just... With a strong, wide stretch of her hands, the metal ceased to hold her hands, the chain collapsing. "Very good hallucinations. Looks and feels real..." She said to herself with a chuckle as she kept walking, the pony grumbling. "We said FREEZE!" He suddenly charged at her, and she just stayed here, smiling. She knew it was not real, so it couldn't hurt he- Suddenly, the pony bumped into her belly, the air leaving her lungs for a second by the sheer strength of the unicorn, and she fell to the ground, her head hitting one of the numerous rocks laying there. She blacked out, her eyes closing as she finally fell into a deep slumber... Author's Note Okay so, yeh, uh, well. Enjoy, I guess?
