The Arrival (Chapter 1)[Rewritten to v2.0.]
Low Earth Orbit, ARK Station #5348 “The Island”

The first thing he heard after waking up was sea, which naturally confused him since he lived in the middle of land, many kilometers away from closest body of water. He also could fell sand getting in everywhere which again was suspicious since last time he checked his bed was made out of much softer and more comfortable materials.
Finally he decided that it would probably be important to get up and check what the fuck was going on. After all he didn’t remember taking any drugs or other mind impairing substances so there was no reason for him to be here... Wherever here was.
After slowly opening eyes he was blinded for a few seconds by shining rays of bright light. After his eyes accustomed to it and he could see again he finally stood up and slowly looked around trying to at least figure out where he was.
At first he could only see infinite amount of water that was everywhere in front of him, dissapearing behind the horizon, that alone made him very worried(if you forgot about the fact that somehow he was taken out of his home at night without being woken up) , closest sea was at least few hundred kilometers away so wherever he was, was nowhere near place where his house was.
Looking behind him he could only see small beach littered with pebbels of various size, from ones smaller than his fingernails to rocks that were few times higher and lonegr than him, there were also shells covering this entire place, that alone made it look as if it was never touched by human hand, before it slowly turned into forest, sparsely placed trees slowly becoming more dense with each meter before turning into fully fledged forest.
It was then that he looked slightly up and his jaw fell open, with his hearth skipping few beats, there in front of him floating slightly above the ground was probably hundreds of meters high thing made out of silvery metal with red, diamond shaped light embedded in its upper half. The Obelisk just stood still, menacing red light that somehow made it look evil simply glowed uncaring about anything happening nearby.
It was then that his brain decided to temporarily stop functioning and peaceful darkness consumed him,the last thing he saw before completely passing out was ground quickly approaching his face.
Thirty years later
‘It is it’ he thought, slowly approaching terminal that stood under The Green Obelisk, clad in full RIOT armor, it looked like one used by police in his time but that couldn't be more deceitful, this one was made out of polimers and other artificial materials created over century after 'his' time, when compared to those police wore, this one would be practically indestructible AND providing a lot more protection.
Twenty Rexes he prepared just for this moment, carefully breeding them for the last twenty-five years. He gathered all items that would be needed to activate portal to the Broodmother's liar many years ago, all of them lying inside of his implant’s storage for all that time.
This would be very important test, if he could slay this massive, spider like abomination, he could also kill that overgrown monkey and maybe even that overpowered fire-breathing lizard. But that would come later, probably in several years if not longer than that. He discovered it sometime after his first decade in this place that he stopped aging just after arriving here, his implant keeping him in optimal health also froze his aging so now he was practically immortal, forever stuck as twenty two years old man.
But back to more important things, he mentally connected his implant to the lone terminal and willed it to activate on Alpha difficulty. Hopefully his dinos would survive and abomination disguised as spider would die. If not from dozens of bites then from RPG he pulled out and placed on his shoulder.
Few seconds after that countdown hit zero and green light flashed in front of him, blinding him for a few short mkment before he regained his sight and he could finally see his new surrounding. It looked just like in the game, but many times worse and much more disgusting, warm air inside of small and damp space full of spider webs, eggs and rotting corpses of various creatures that somehow got in here didn’t smell and look great. Alex puked after mix of smells entered his nose. After few more seconds trying to regain his bearing and at least partially clean his mouth of foul taste that at this moment took residence inside of his mouth he gave up and simlly looked towards the Thing
It was massive spider in the middle of chamber. Game didn’t do it any justice, while one in there was large this one was enormous, red coloured beast that was twice as high as his Rexes and three times as long roared showing off its fangs. Those alone were bigger than him, deadly toxic green poison slowly dripping from them made it look even worse. Its legs were also massive, each of them as large as Carnotaurus, they also looked extremely sharp, if he didn't know better he would say that they actually ended with monomolecular edges...though knowing what the ARKs were he wouldn’t be surprised if that was true
It was then that it slightly moved with agility that shouldn't be possible for being that large and locked its many eyes with him, before screeching loudly again and starting to run towards his position with speed that nearly gave him hearth attack, one moment it was nearly hundred meters away, second later abomination was already halfway towards him. Without losing any more time he whistled and ordered his Rexes to attack and kill that disgusting monster. While normally this probably wouldn’t be possible, their brains were augmented by the ARK and they were actually smart enough to follow some simple commands.
After few seconds two things happened:
- Broodmother bit one of his Rexes with its gargantuan fangs, deadly poison and massive wound killing it nearly instantly, while another rex died, its body pierced like warm butter by two of arachnid's sharp and massive front legs.
- Rest of the rexes roared in anger and literally ripped Broodmother apart, tearing out massive chunks of its flesh before Alex even knew what happened Broodmother screeched in pain, hisbears hurt from it being so close, for a moment he was actually afraid of losing his hearing, luckily that didn't happen instead after few more seconds of scream that made everything in cave vibrate thing's scream finally got progressively quieter until it finally was completely devoured by his own dinosaurs.
His brain actually needed few seconds to process how quick and relatively easy that fight was, While normally he probably carefully check if spider was really dead but his vision was filled with TEKgram Unlocked messages. He expected it to take few minutes at least, not fifteen seconds, not that he complied of course. Instead he worriedly looked at return counter that already was down to 15 seconds and just decided to think about it later. He had Element to collect and Replicator to build.
When he approached spider’s corpse... Or at least what was left of it he synced his implant with it and looked into its inventory, to his complete surprise he didn’t find slightly over 70 Element like one would in the game, no, instead inside was over 2000 of it. That alone made him laugh from happiness, this being one of the rare few times he was genuinely happy since he somehow landed on this empty island. It would be enough to build Replicator, Tek Suit and entire Tek Base... Finally things were looking up for him. And with that thought he and his dinos were teleported outside of the arena in another flash of green light.
After returning back to his base with everything out of twenty rexes he brought seventeen returned with him, it turned out after he was already outside of arena that one of rexes was slightly grazed by spider's fang, things poison was so deadly that even relatively small cut like that would cause irreversible AND visible damage that could only end in painful death, instead he opted to end it quickly so dinosaur wouldn't have to suffer for the next few hours. While he wasn't overly attached to rexes, they were still too stupid to serve as pets for some reasons death of that one made him shed few tears.
Planet Equus, Equestria, Approximately 155 years before Nightmare Moon’s return. (9 Years after death of the Broodmother)
Princess Celestia, lone ruler of Equestria and oldest pony and possibly being alive sat in her private chambers, it was large room with many emblems of her Sun on walls and even some furnitures, most of things inside were either golden or white in color to go to match her perfectly white coat.
As a very wise being she was currently contemplating if she should test her new teleportation spell. On one side, taking risks like that, many would say that using completely untested spell was stupid, one another if it worked it could revolutionise that field of magic, from that moment even weakest unicorns would be able to quickly move around without using extremally large amounts of their magic.
And even if something DID go wrong as Alicorn she was very resistant to any magical accidents, anyone else trying could be seriously hurt or even killed, while she at worst would have to live with small headache for next few days.
It took her few more minutes but finally part of her mind that wanted to do it won and Celestia channelled small amount of mystical energy into her, quite impressive horn that sprouted out of her forehead and casted simple simple spell that in theory should move her into the throne room.
Sadly it wasn't to be, while spell itself worked perfectly Celestia couldn't possibly forseen what would happen next, just as magic was about to brutally murder and desacrate several laws of physics something else occurred.
Some sort of blue light flashed in front of Celestia's eyes blinding her before she tried to scream in pain as she felt as if something was tearing her body apart atom after atom, she could fell it for several more seconds before finally passing out, blissful darkness finally claiming her mind.
Planet Equus, High Orbit, Approximately 155 years before Nightmare Moon’s return. (9 Years after death of the Broodmother)
Lone, barely powered human probe from the times when the Federation and the Republic still ruled the Earth approximately five millenia ago, little sturdy thing was only equipped with small prototype TEK Generator, teleporter onboard stupid A.I. , some research equipment, and single also prototype FTL communication array, it was also equipped with small Element powered FTL drive.
Its orginal mission long ago forgotten, any remaining information about it lost when the Earth fell, lone piece of metal just orbited above this weird planet for unknown amount of time. While in current times no one could knew why it was ever abandoned it probably had something to do with its teleporting device being slightly damaged by small asteroid that passed by long time ago. Deemed as unsafe for human use device was simply abandoned with humanity simply pursuing more successful projects like Martian colonies.
If nothing happend it would simply fall and burn in atmosphere before current century ended, TEK Generator failing and its anty-gravity engines simply ceasing to work. Unfortunately for one alabaster pony that casted new spell, human probe's scanners detected it... Even worse, its Ancient A.I. was barely working and mistook unknown signal as teleportation request.
And thus, ancient machine honoured what it thought to be teleportation order and moved its target to its preprogrammed destination: Earth.
If this happened while Federation or even Republic were still existing, this accidental displacement would be quickly fixed, with Celestia being sent home. Sadly it wasn't to be, intstead one of the ARKs that currently protected what was remaining of the humanities homeworld from devastating solar winds and other catastrophic events while also testing remaining homo sapiens intercepted teleportation, its damaged Overseer that controlled entire station simply noting it in logs and placing unknown sapient creature in random place on the ARK before continuing simply observing everything and making sure that the Island was hard enough for the weakest of all Survivors to be... culled, though it would be a lie if someone said that it didn’t pay some special attention to the new arrival.
Author's Note
Well... Another piece of nothing written in hours, I might write more, or just end this abomination here... But again, it's still better than 75% of stories here...
Anyway as ARK's Storyline says For The Terran Federation
Yey, first rewrite, personally I think that this one makes a little bit more sense... Though I'm still unhappy with Celestia‘s reason for using that spell... So that part might still get changed.
Now for what was changed
-Entire Equestrian part was rewritten and replaced by new one
-Nightmare Moon was... Removed from equation
-I fixed some grammar mistakes
-Nearly entire future storyline was changed
-Chapter is now visibly longer(Approximately 700 words)
-I also decided to rewrite first part, in my opinion it looks much better now than before.
I'm also going to start working on another chapter and the first omake(someone is going to get shocking greeting) so I might release those two even this week.
