Jeremy woke up on a late Wednesday afternoon. He got up and looked at his clock. It was 5:35 PM.

He immediately jumped. As he was SUPPOSE to be at work at 5:10 PM

Apparently he had over slept. And realised that he is now late for work. He sighed.

He did all his morning businesses like showering, brushing his teeth, etc.

He finally got dressed and ran to his car. When he got in, he took out his keys and put it into the hole and cranked up the car.

*vroom*

And with that he drove straight to work.

When he finally arrived, he immediately checked in and went straight to his work station. Suddenly he saw his boss. Standing there. He didn't look happy.

"Mr. Davis. Your late." He said.

"Yeah, yeah. I kinda over slept a little." Jeremy replied.

"Well don't be late again. Or you know what will happen next." He said as he walked away.

Jeremy sighed and sat down at his desk.

It has been a few minutes now until one of his friends started talking to him.

"Hey, Jeremy? You mind if I borrow one of your pencils? Mine broke." He said.

"Yeah. Hold on." He reached for his bag and gave his friend a pencil.

"Thanks man." He smiled.

Jeremy nodded and went back to his work.

Jeremy looked at the time on his watch and was shocked that it was already almost 11:30 PM.

Suddenly his boss walked to his desk.

"Now Mr. Davis I hope you don't mind if we keep you here a bit longer for more of the paper work you need to catch up on." He said.

"It's fine, I guess..." Jeremy sighed in defeat.

"Good. Now here. Take these." His boss gave him almost a stack of paper.

'Are you kidding me? I have a family to be with. I'm not here to just do this damn paper work.' He sighed again before he grabbed his pencil and started writing.

One of his friends were about to leave but before he did he patted Jeremy on the shoulder.

"Goodluck man." He smiled at him.

"Goodluck to you too." Jeremy smiled back.

≮>̶≮>̴<̶≯≮>̷<̶>̷<̵>̴≮>̷<̶>̷<̶>̷<̵>̶<̶>̴<̶>̴≮>̶≮>̴<̶≯≮>̷<̶>̷

Jeremy looked at the time again and it was about 11:57 PM. It was almost midnight. And he just felt like he can't be here any longer. Until he finally finished all his paper work.

'I finished. I actually did it!'

His boss came and tried not to act surprised.

"Well Jeremy, I have to give it to you. You have finished all of your paper work before it even reached midnight." He said with a slight smile.

"Well I'm just trying to get back to my family." He chuckled.

"That's understandable." His boss nodded.

Later it was now 12:00 AM. It was finally midnight. Jeremy made it to his car and drove off.

He turned his headlights on and noticed it has been a bit foggy lately.

"Why is there so much fog?" He asked himself.

It was strange to him. It was never this foggy the last time he drove home. Now it was to the point where he could barely see the road.

"What the hell... Where am I going? Is this the road home?" He asked himself again.

He looked around and suddenly a chill went down his spine. He was all ALONE. There was not a single sign of life here. He was waiting for something bad to happen. But that will have to wait of course.

He slowly drove down the road hoping he would make it home. Until he saw some bright lights ahead of him. He drove towards them. And noticed that it was the dam.

'C'mon! Just when i thought I was going home.'

He went across the dam and continued foward.

Until all of a sudden he saw bright headlights shining at his rear view mirror.

"What the hell?" He was shocked.

And they were getting closer and closer really quick. It looked like it was going to ram him off the road.

"SHIT!"

It was at this moment Jeremy didn't know what to do. So he started panicking and immediately floored it down the road.

*VROOM*

He came to a curve in the road and he managed to drift around the curve. And kept going.

The car was still on him. He grunted.

"What do these people want from me!?" He asked himself.

As he kept driving, he couldn't stop looking at the rear view mirror. He tried to make out there identity. But when he did, his heart immediately stopped beating.

"Why do they have masks on? Are they going to rob me and kill me!?" He said to himself again.
Later his thoughts were interrupted by the car ramming into him.

*CRASH*

He yelled and went off the road and into a dirt road. Where there, he immediately floored it into the woods.

He saw as the car got out of the ditch. He immediately went somewhere to hide and then, he shut off the headlights and the whole car and hid under the steering wheel.

Complete Darkness followed by dead silence. He hadn't heard anything in a while. He waited a bit longer for what felt like hours. Later he sits up and looks around. He didn't see any headlights. Or hear any engines in the distance.

"Phew. I think I lost them..." He said to himself.

And with that said, he turned his car back on and turned on the headlights and continued driving in the woods.

≮>̶≮>̴<̶≯≮>̷<̶>̷<̵>̴≮>̷<̶>̷<̶>̷<̵>̶<̶>̴<̶>̴≮>̶≮>̴<̶≯≮>̷<̶>̷

It's been about 30 minutes now. He finally got back on the road. He was relieved he wasn't robbed by those people. They looked really aggresive.

'I just want to get home. I want to see my family again.'

Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted when he immediately slammed on the brakes.

*SCREEEE*

He stopped and looked. His heart stopped. There, in the middle of the road, Was a little girl. She was crying. She looked lost. He stopped for a moment and got out of his car And observed the child.

'What is she doing out here all by herself at this time of night?'

The girl looked at him in complete fear. She was to scared to run at this point.

"Hey, hey, hey. Don't be scared. I'm not going to hurt you." He spoke softly to her.

She was shivering. It was clear to Jeremy that she was cold.

"What are you doing here all by yourself?" He asked the lost girl.

Finally, she spoke to him.

"I... got... lost..." she said.

He paused for a moment and then started talking.

"Hey. Let me take you into my car, Where it's warm. I can help you." He reached his hand for the girl.

She paused for a moment before nodding. Jeremy helped her up and got her into the car. He got back in his car and turned on the heater.

"T-Thank you..." She smiled.

He nodded.

"My name is Jeremy Davis. I almost forgot to introduce myself. What's yours?" He asked.

"It's... Sweetie Belle..." she looked at him.

"Sweetie Belle? Nice to meet you. Kind of a cute name to be honest." He chuckled.

"Thank you..." She said.

After a short long pause he asked her another question.

"So, What were you doing out here all by yourself? How did you get lost?" He asked.

"Well, I remember when I was with my sister. Followed by my friends. We thought about going camping... And then out of no where we saw a car that had four people in it. They were wearing masks. And it tried to run into us, but thankfully we got out in time. But the bad thing is, we kinda got seperated... But I'm sure where ever they are, they made it out safely." She replied.

"Wait. You saw a black car with four masked people in it?" He asked her again.

"Well, yes..." She said.

"That's the same car that chased me. Thankfully, I escaped them. I hope we don't run into them again. But don't worry. I'll help you find them. And I'll protect you in anyway possible until we can find them." He said wrapping his arm around her.

She smiled and hugged his arm.

"Thank you..." she gently closed her eyes and before you know it. She was sleeping.

Jeremy smiled. He knew he had to protect her. He couldn't just leave a cold child out there in the wild by itself. No matter how long it takes. He will help her find her family.

He was looking at the road trying to figure out exactly where he is. He couldn't really make it out that much. All because of the fog.

Sooner or later he drives over a bridge. And then made it to more trees.

'How long do these woods go?' He thought to himself.

As he kept driving he then noticed something...

"Wait... Is that?" He spoke out loud quietly not trying to wake her up.

And he was right. What he saw, were bright headlights coming straight towards him.

Author's Note

I'll be working a bit on this and then I'll eventually get back to working on Trials Equestria. I decided to take a break on it and I thought of working on a new story that I was also gonna do.

But in the mean time, I'll still be working on Trials Equestria.
