This worked to immediately shut her girlfriend up and Rainbow blushed in response. “As good as parties or something.” She said instead realizing that Fluttershy was scolding her without words, she chose to ignore Rarity’s wrath too by looking off in another direction. “Because it is almost as good!” Pinkie cheered whirling around in her yellow spinney chair at the ice cream bar. Currently in Scoop’s Ice Cream Bar there were eight of them and a few other patrons. “I’m glad you like it Miss Pie.” Scooper said, the man had on a white striped outfit and white hat, the stripes matching his blue eyes and yet the white contrasted well with his graying fudge colored hair and facial hair. “If you ladies need any more scoops just let me or Skipper know.” He said with a cheery grin tipping his head towards his wife who was currently giving a couple of children their ice cream. Twilight ate her vanilla ice cream in silence and she listened to her friends talk not noticing that Applejack was giving her a look. Each of them had sat together at a table along with Rarity and Sunset while Fluttershy, Rainbow, Starlight, and Pinkie sat at the bar table. “So Twilight did you like those drinks I suggested?” Rainbow suddenly asked a devious grin on her face. “I don’t think she remembers them Dash.” Starlight said in a way which showed that she had to have had unpleasant memories from the night before. “Which is a good thing.” She groaned out catching the attention of her teacher. “Speaking of that, what happened to you?” Twilight asked genuinely curious. “Silly girl went and got into a fight.” Applejack interjected interrupting Starlight. Blushing in embarrassment Starlight Glimmer nodded. “I did and over Trixie too but I swear the punk was staring at her ass!” She said earning a laugh from all of their friends, and eventually she began to find it a little funny too. “Did you at least get a punch in?” Sunset questioned earning a playful eye roll from Twilight. Starlight made a face and shook her head. “I could barely tell if there were two or three.” She laughed out before her eyes lit up with remembrance. “By the way, where did you go Sunset? I could have used some backup.” She said with a frown. Sunset’s heart dropped in response and she shifted a little uncomfortably. “To be honest, I don’t know.” Sunset eventually said and she was trying her best to not look at Applejack the whole time because she swore the girl could smell a rat from a mile away. “Heh, well I know you didn’t get into any bar fights.” Rainbow Dash joked much to Starlight’s chagrin. “Well I know that Fluttershy and I were the only responsible ones last night.” Rarity said with a glint in her eye until she noticed that Fluttershy’s face reddened considerably. Looking at one of her closest friends she gasped, “Fluttershy!” She then said with a tease in her voice. The shy girl merely squeaked in response burying her face into Rainbow’s protective arms. Rainbow was blushing as well and that told more than any words could. “Uh huh and like I didn’t see you and Appl-” However, Rainbow was interrupted by Applejack mouthing the word no over and over. Getting it despite wanting to tease her friends she quickly silenced herself. “Hah, maybe that’s enough joking around for today.” Twilight said standing from her seat and brushing off her black pants. Pinkie made a frowny face because of Twilight’s words but she made no protest when more ice cream came into her view. Suddenly Applejack stood up as well and Sunset joined the queue. “I’ll be back.” Twilight said with a bashful smile to her friends earning a few polite giggles and coos. Sunset however was the only one who did neither of those things and she averted her gaze when Twilight walked past her. Twilight proceeded to walk outside and she pulled out her phone dialing a number close to her heart. “Hey Sunset? Do you have a minute?” Applejack whispered out to Sunset who appeared to be thinking about going out for a smoke, something she had quit years ago. Looking into green eyes she nodded her head, “Of course, what’s up?” She asked only for Applejack to gesture for them to find somewhere more private. Getting the message she smiled to their friends who were looking at them before she followed Applejack towards the empty woman’s restroom. Awkwardly closing it behind them Sunset waited for Applejack to begin speaking. Immediately Applejack’s smile dropped and she began to fret with her hat. “So, what was it AJ?” Sunset asked, picking up on the signs of her friend’s nervousness. Biting her lip Applejack quickly spilled it out, “To sum it up I messed up really bad Sunset.” She started actually taking her hat off as she looked to the tiled bathroom wall of the establishment. Moving to comfort her friend Sunset encouraged her to continue. “What do you mean?” “Sunset...I hit on Rarity.” She said her voice low and nearly a whisper as her face tripled in redness. Raising an eyebrow in confusion Sunset went on to get more information. “And? What’s wrong with that Applejack?” She questioned. “Rarity went along with it and we did well...uh….” Her face was so red and embarrassed that she had to hide her face with her own hat. “Fooled around.” She said whispering it like she was a little girl saying something dirty. Sunset couldn’t help but laugh which earned an irritated shove from Applejack. “You think it’s funny?” She said hurt in her green eyes, seeing the look in her eyes she stopped laughing and she frowned, wiping her eyes she gave Applejack another shoulder pat. “Aw, AJ I am just saying I don’t think there is anything wrong with you two doing that.” “But isn’t it crossing a line?” Applejack said, sighing quietly, “Rarity hasn’t looked at me since last night.” “I under-I can see how it’s scary but perhaps you two just need to talk about it and sort some stuff out.” Sunset said panicking a little for her almost slip up. Applejack leaned back in response and she rested her blonde haired head against the cool tile. “Is it as easy as that? We’ve been holding back for a long time…” Applejack went on looking to Sunset with a serious look. “I kind of wanted it to be more special…” She said some of the redness from her face fading. “I think what makes it special is who you are with and not how it happens, ya know?” Sunset offers finding herself perturbed since she was connecting with what Applejack was saying. This situation immediately directed her thoughts to the night before. “Yeah, you’re right.” Applejack chuckled out smiling now, “Guess you’ve got a romantic heart, huh Sun?” She teased a bit missing the wistful look in Sunset’s eyes. Sunset then proceeded to roll her eyes. “You know I haven’t actually dated anyone.” She said stuffing her hands into her black leather jacket. “Well what about Flash?” Applejack offered out knowing she was touching a part of Sunset’s past with her comment. Shaking her head slowly Sunset gave her a soft smile. “Come on before Pinkie barges in.” She said hitting Applejack’s shoulder on the way out of the restroom. “You two have a nice kissy session in the bathroom?” Rainbow Dash immediately cracked once they had gone back to their chairs. Rarity simply looked to them both her eyes lingering on Applejack before she looked back to her phone. This did not go unnoticed by the two of them which earned Applejack a slight bump from Sunset. “I’m going to choose to ignore that for the sake of there being ladies present.” Sunset rebuffed grinning when Applejack moved to sit besides Rarity. For the next few minutes while the others finished up on their ice cream Applejack and Rarity whispered to each other and Sunset busied herself with her phone which held some song lyrics she had been working on lately. “Is that the new hit song you’ve got there?” Starlight stated moving to sit in the chair Twilight had been sitting at. “Mhm.” Sunset hummed still in her songwriting zone which meant she often shut out the world around her. “Is it a love song?” She asked, receiving the same reply. “Is it about the stars?” She continued enjoying the little game she was playing even if Sunset was not a conscious participant. “Mhm hmm.” Sunset said looking up with a small smirk while Starlight prepared her next question. “Sunburst gave me the idea of writing a love song about glittering stars, the universe, and all that.” She said immediately shutting up the violet and teal haired girl. “I didn’t know you got your ideas from him.” She said, recovering from her stupor quickly. Sunset snickered in reply, “Only some.” She said offering a smile which faded somewhat when she saw the look on Twilight’s face when she returned to the table. “Everyone we need to go. There’s an emergency.” Twilight informed them with a grave look on her face. Alert and ready since they were used to being in emergency type situations they all quickly stood and followed after her. “What is it Twilight?” Sunset couldn’t help but ask as she got right beside Twilight joined by Starlight who arrived on the other side of her. Worriedly Twilight looked over at Sunset, “Cadence tripped and fell off a balcony and she hit the ground.” Twilight said worry and fear clearly in her voice. “She couldn’t teleport?” Starlight asked her eyes wide. “Cadence has been sick with the feather flu, but to be honest I have no idea how she fell.” Twilight informed her explaining away any further questions as they arrived in front of a limo sized car which was ready to take them to the castle. The girls all slipped inside, their moods already completely zapped as the driver took them to their destination. Meanwhile Twilight was ringing her wrists as she fretted over the thought of her sister-in-law and potential niece or nephew being in harm’s way. Taking note of the state she was in Sunset shifted and touched Twilight’s back and she moved her hand in circles in an attempt to calm and soothe her. At first Twilight had tensed under her touch but after a few minutes she relaxed offering Sunset a small smile in appreciation. Anymore unpleasant thoughts and outcomes faded once Twilight settled herself glad she had all of her friends surrounding her. Just as the limo driver turned a corner however a voice caught all of the occupants' attention. With confusion the driver stopped and Twilight strained her neck in an attempt to look from the backseat. “HEY STOP FIEND!” A boisterous voice shouted a familiar whiny inflection immediately making itself known as a tall woman in a wizard’s hat held out her hand in front of the limo. Soon after the pronouncement Twilight heard the sound of Starlight grumbling to herself, a habit she did not realize Starlight had gotten from her. She watched her friend move to open the door to the limo and she poked her head out. Twilight’s chest bubbled with laughter at the absurdity of what was happening. “WHERE ARE YOU GOING WITH TRIXIE’S GIRLFRIEND!?” Trixie shouted out actually holding out a wand towards the driver as if it were a weapon she was keeping him captive with. “Trixie, what the hell are you doing?” Starlight called out drawing light violet eyes towards her rather quickly. A devilish smile appeared upon Trixie’s face at the question and she trotted herself over to Starlight so that she was a few inches from her. “Uh, saving you from another boring party with Twilight?” Trixie faux whispered much to Twilight’s annoyance. To her relief, Starlight moved to whisper something into her girlfriend’s ear that did something Twilight didn't know was possible. It brought a near sympathetic frown from Trixie who directed her attention to Twilight after Starlight had finished speaking. “I see that today is not the time for being entertained. I’m sorry Tw-....” With that Trixie grimaced realizing saying she was sorry to Twilight was like speaking with Laffey Taffy in her mouth. She looked a little alarmed but Twilight decided to save her. “It’s okay Trixie, you can uh, please join us.” The princess said, a slightly strained but gracious tone in her voice as she spoke. What an odd day, Twilight commented to herself dryly as the limo somehow struggled to fit Trixie in with the other eight girls. With there not being enough room Trixie opted to sit on Starlight’s lap. Her student of course did not seem to mind and she moved to encircle one arm around Trixie as the stage magician removed her hat from her head. “Could this limo get any gayer?” Rainbow joked hoping to uplift the tense mood, it did not seem to work however as the rest of the girls grew silent as the driver continued on his course towards the Canterlot Castle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once arriving at the castle each of the girls filed out of the car the expansive castle before them always a sight to behold. The large castle of white, violet, and gold gleamed beautifully under the morning sun and Twilight offered it a smile almost as if she was looking at an old friend. Which in a way, she supposed she was. The castle itself somehow reminded Twilight of something Adagio had mentioned this morning and she was struck with the image of the three siren sisters singing and dancing around a king as they charmed him and the masses to do their bidding. This in particular lead her to focusing on the subtle curves of Adagio and the hypothesizing sway of her hips as she moved directly in front of the king. Aware she had been moving on autopilot Twilight jumped when she felt Sunset touch her shoulder. “You okay Twi?” She heard her friend say and she worked to clear her inappropriate thoughts before she started to sweat. “Yes I’m fine, thank you Sunny.” She told her friend not wanting to have her and the other girls worry about her. “I’m just worried about Cadence’s condition...I know she’s strong but…” “But you’re afraid the baby could have suffered trauma?” Rarity offered having overheard her and Sunset’s conversation. “Yes, Shining Armor sounded frantic when he told me. After all, they were going to meet us for the dinner party only for this to happen…” Twilight said her voice bordering on morose. Cadence was her sister-in-law and her friend so to think of her being hurt, well it was unthinkable. “Don’t worry Twi, they have the best doctors in Equestria taking care of them. ‘sides Sunburst and Flash are there with them.” Applejack interjected her voice also a beacon of positivity for Twilight to latch onto. She gave her a grateful smile trying not to visibly wince when she heard Flash’s name. As if he was scratching his nose since they were speaking of him, Twilight’s phone rang, a picture of a handsome blue haired man with a smirk on his face appearing when Twilight picked up her phone to look. “I need to take this.” Twilight told her friends lifting her phone to show them Flash was calling. With affirmatives her friends continued on towards the castle throne room while she moved just outside of the door to answer her husband-to-be’s call. “Twilight, Shining said he told you what happened! Are you okay?” Flash’s deep voice said from the other end and Twilight took in a deep breath hearing him causing several thoughts and emotions to flicker through her. This was going to be much harder than she thought, but it was going to have to wait. “Yes I’m fine...how is she?” Twilight questioned biting her lip as she prepared herself for his answer. “She’s in stable condition, she managed to land on her back though no one can figure out why she did not fly up or teleport for that matter.” The confusion in his voice was evident. “They’re doing a sonogram right now to make sure nothing is wrong.” He continued the sound of him breathing heavily entering her ears. “Thank you for letting me know...Flash, how are you?” She proceeded to ask realizing she was probably sounding odd on the phone, but hopefully he would think it was because she was upset about what had just happened. “I’m alright Sparky, I just got back from the engagement party when I found out…” Flash said the sound of his heavy breathing slowing as they continued to speak. “Did you have a good time, you know before..?” She questioned truly wondering and hoping he did. “Oh yeah! We even got Sunburst to sing karaoke, you should have seen it Twilight!” And she found herself feeling bubbly as a smile erupted on her face. She was glad he had enjoyed himself. “And you, did Dash bring out the strippers like she promised?” She heard Flash joke and she could not help but roll her eyes even though he could not see her. Their friends had gone all out for their respective engagement parties but they were acting like the two of them were already married. “No...but she did get me to try some drinks.” Twilight chuckled out nervously scratching her neck as she turned to stare at a plant. It was sitting there being a plant while Twilight struggled to not wish to be one instead of a person. She felt so dirty, not just telling him exactly what had happened. Once again however she reminded herself that now was not the time. “Ah, nice! I’m glad you had a good time, baby.” Hearing the familiar term Twilight expected that she’d find her finger already twirling a lock of her own hair, and yet she wasn’t in the mood to feel happy and full of warmth. “Hey....I’ll see you soon, okay? I need to get suited up.” She heard a sigh after this and she nodded, “I will see you soon…” She said her heart beating in alarm when she realized she had forgotten to tell him she loved him. “I love you.” She heard him say before the silence dragged out. “I love you too, bye.” Twilight replied closing her eyes as the call ended. Slipping the phone into her pants pocket she adjusted her scarf traces of purple reminding her of last night all over again. You’re so beautiful. She heard a seductive voice purr in her mind, a tone that left nothing to the imagination of what was about to happen. With a chill she shook the memory away wondering why bits and pieces of it were starting to resurface. She would have to confess, wouldn’t she? However there were bigger things a foot, Twilight reasoned watching as her friends walked towards the entrance of the castle throne room. She breathed out a sigh trying to push the haunting thoughts and images behind her. Author's Note Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I had fun writing the dialogue for the girls. And yes, yes I did put in my shipping ~~guilty~~ pleasures. Also I promise to eventually explain Sunset's role in this universe as in this universe they are already human but do indeed have magical abilities. Chapter III: Prolonging ConfessionsAn hour later Sunset Shimmer was waiting outside of the castle gardens as the rest of the girls spoke to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Sunset had wanted to join them but she still struggled much with talking to Celestia, her adopted mother. The one she had run away from years ago until she met Twilight and her friends who taught her how to become a better person. Her friends who had years ago kept her from using the Element of Magic to enslave Equestria. It was a foolish plan Sunset knew but she had been so angry with Celestia and so angry with the world. Sighing softly Sunset enjoyed the sight of the flora around her until she heard footsteps which alerted her to Starlight’s presence. “You’ve got that look in your eyes. What’s on your mind?” Starlight questioned moving to sit down on the stone bench beside Sunset. She had yet to enter with the rest of their friends where Twilight was speaking to a certain sun monarch and Starlight and the girls had taken notice. “Where did you come from?” Sunset asked instead of answering her question as she snapped her gaze away from the doors which lead inside. Starlight laughed in response and shook her head at her friend. “Trixie got bored and decided to look for the kitchen.” The red and golden haired woman smiled a little in response. “You realize that she’s going to get lost in here, don’t you?” She replied moving her back against the white wall behind her. “Yes, but I’m sure she’s turning the baking supplies into teacups.” The violet and aqua haired woman stated glancing away when Sunset looked over at her. “You must regret teaching her that spell.” She said with amusement. “Not at all, it made her really happy.” Starlight sighed as she stretched shifting up when the door to the right of them opened. With interest she saw Twilight’s childhood friend Moondancer exit the castle interior from what looked to be the castle archives. She had her red, blonde, and violet hair tied in a bun and her large red glasses were slipping down her nose until she pushed them back up. “Hey Moondancer, right?” Starlight asked with a pleasant smile as she stood to greet her. Moondancer as mousy as ever jumped at having her name called and she looked over to them with a shy look in her purple eyes. “Yes! I recognize you. You’re Twilight’s newest student...oh and hi Sunset.” Moondancer continued her sentence drifting off when she finally noticed Sunset standing there. Sunset moved to wave and she smiled at her as best she could without being awkward. She figured despite the amends she had made with Twilight that Moondancer was none too happy to find out about all that Sunset did to Twilight when she was ‘evil’. Why she did not hold a grudge on Starlight too she did not know. Starlight’s transgressions were serious too, but then Sunset would be acting judgmental if she were to say anything. “Hello Moondancer, it’s nice to see you again.” Sunset offered biting her lip and folding her arms. “What are you up too?” She asked noticing the books and scrolls in Moondancer’s arms. Blushing since it was mentioned she cleared her throat before explaining, “ Something Twilight mentioned a few weeks ago. She has been wondering about the Sirens and their power, especially after you and the Elements battled them a couple of years ago. I have been looking into their extensive history, that is until their history stops. As we all know, Starswirl the Bearded sealed them away until they somehow escaped in the modern era.” Sunset’s eyes sparked with interest and a bit of guilt hit her at the same time. Despite the fact that the battle with the Sirens had been a few years ago now, she still felt responsible for taking something the Sirens were born with. Even if they had used their power for evil purposes. “It seems you are very knowledgeable. Perhaps I can join in on this study sometime? I bet we could get Starswirl himself to speak on the subject.” Adjusting her wool sweater Moondancer nodded her head at that, “His input would be invaluable since he was there when the Sirens were in their true forms! If you could perhaps get in contact with Starswirl...well I would be most grateful.” Moondancer said her face reddening since she had gotten as excited as she did. “Your input would be useful too…” Moondancer laughed averting her gaze from both of them. “I will try my best.” Sunset said in reply scratching her neck and nodding when Moondancer made her leave. “Sorry to leave so suddenly, but it was nice making your acquaintance Starlight. Give Twilight my best regards.” She offered them both a shy smile before she went towards what Sunset knew to be the cafe located near the first floor kitchen area. Looking over to Starlight, Sunset raised a brow when she saw that her friend was making a kissy face at Moondancer’s retreating figure. “What are you doing?” Sunset questioned crossing her arms at her. Starlight giggled in reply and she shook her head. “Are you telling me you missed that?! She totally has a nerd crush on you!” The girl in leather merely shook her head and she rolled her eyes. “She barely likes me, besides she’s probably as straight as Twilight is.” Sunset rebuffed looking to make sure Moondancer hadn’t noticed what Starlight had practically been yelling. “Uh huh, and all that Twilight Sparkle adoration was and is platonic.” Starlight commented remembering the story she was told of how much Moondancer copied Twilight in their youth. “Hey if adoring Twilight makes you gay, then I guess we’re all lesbians.” The redhead jokes receiving a laugh from behind her which caused her to freeze where she stood. Turning her head her jaw dropped and her face reddened when she saw the rest of their friends, she let out a breath though when she saw that Twilight wasn’t standing there with them. “Oh hey guys…” Sunset started with a cough smiling when Pinkie went to give her a big hug out of nowhere. “Hello Sunset Shimmer.” A heavenly voice greeted her and Sunset’s jaw stayed open when she saw the motherly sun princess move into the garden beside the other girls, as always towering over them with her goddess-like lumbering height. “Hi Princess.” Sunset greeted awkwardly still having trouble adjusting with their renowned relationship. “I just wanted to tell you in person that your music branch for schooling has been accepted and after Twilight pitched it to the board last week, we think implementing it into the school of Friendship will be a marvelous idea.” Sunset’s eyes lit up and she looked around to see grins on all of her friends expressions. “Oh wow, I almost don’t know what to say...thank you. I know this is a little good news in the light of well…” Sunset trailed off when she felt Rainbow put an arm around her shoulders. “My niece, yes this is very unexpected.” Celestia said with concern in her eyes. “It’s why we’re all going to the Crystal Empire, that is, if we all can right now.” Twilight started walking in as well, startling Fluttershy since she wasn’t expecting her to be behind her. Everyone looked to Twilight taking notice that she was now almost as tall as Celestia’s shoulder since she had been growing in height since her ascension as princess. “I understand that we cannot all drop what we’re doing as there is the school and our jobs to worry about.” Twilight went on biting her lip when she felt Celestia touch her shoulder. She always knew when Twilight was worrying too much, it was a trait she saw often in her old student. “Pish posh, Cadence is a dear friend of ours too... besides it’s almost the winter season! I can put out a line in the Spring!” Rarity said with enthusiasm. “Yeah, and the Apples aren’t going to be doing anything! I’m coming too!” Applejack piped in leaning on Rarity with a smile on her face. Rarity looked at her with a matching smile of her own. “Flutters and I are going!” Rainbow said holding up their joined hands smiling since her girlfriend was blushing in response to the PDA. “Perhaps I should…” However whatever Starlight was going to say was interrupted by Pinkie who grabbed both her and Sunset’s hands. “Twilight, you’re our family which makes Cadence our family too!” Pinkie said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. “We’re all going!” She said cheerily buzzing with excitement because of the moment. Smiling brightly and feeling warmed by how touching her friends could be Twilight nodded her head looking to Celestia before she called Spike to tell him they were going to make arrangements to leave first thing tomorrow to the Crystal Empire. Chapter IV: Thief of the HeartMagenta eyes slammed open and the woman quickly moved from the uncomfortable mattress to sit, sighing softly to herself she moved to slip on her dark purple boots which were right beside her bed. Shifting the sheets she shivered when the freezing cold air greeted her tan skin and she moved to pull on a lavender shirt as she was currently wearing nothing but underwear. Glaring at the wall she continued to redress herself before she moved to the bathroom to clean her face and brush her teeth. “Who turned the damn thermostat down?” She grumbled to herself turning the thermostat up as high as it could go because of her anger with the device. “Living in a stupid snow filled empire…” Adagio grouched out finishing up her brushing as she moved to pull out a winter coat. The Crystal Empire was already much too freezing despite it not yet being winter. “You’re up early.” A raspy voice said which belonged to her sister Aria. Glancing over at Aria she said nothing feeling too grumpy to entertain whatever game she was trying to play with her. Ever since she left Canterlot, Aria has not let up on her questioning about what she had been doing there. Finding some cereal Adagio poured herself a bowl of cheerios glad that the Empire had been giving the citizens tax breaks or she knew they would have been able to barely afford enough food for an entire month. “Adagio...” Aria started shifting from the couch to watch her as she ate her cereal quickly. She could tell that Adagio was trying to leave the house as fast as she could but she wasn’t going to let her evade her. Feeling circled Adagio glared at the purple and teal haired woman when she walked to sit at the dining table next to her. “What?” The siren eventually bit back as she scooped more milk and cereal into her mouth. “Where did you get the money?” Aria questioned for what felt like the hundredth time. Sighing in irritation Adagio decided to come clean. “I stole it from a bank.” She said in a deadly serious tone noticing that Aria did not seem shocked or surprised by this statement. “Stop screwing around with me. I will pester you all day if I have too.” She replied crossing her arms as she leaned into the table. This made Adagio think of when the police interrogated people and that Aria would be a perfect fit for the bad cop role. Mostly though it was annoying her beyond belief to be interrogated like a criminal that she was not anymore. Growling Adagio lifted her gaze from her breakfast to Aria, “If I tell you will you stop bothering me.” She said earning a grin in response. Aria offered her hand to her sister which Adagio took her grip tightening so tight that it probably felt like she was trying to squeeze it off. “I was meeting a contact in Canterlot. An old one mind you that I needed to get money from. They owed me Aria and no this was not illegal. I simply loaned him an exorbitant amount several years ago.” Aria frowned at that, “Why were you being so secretive about this? Every time I asked you about Canterlot you were acting so jumpy.” She seemed more curious and confused than anything. Adagio sighed not wanting to tell her what had happened during her stay whatsoever. Feeling frustrated since she was usually much better at keeping her cool Adagio frowned at Aria. “I just do not like you poking into my business.” She said with venom in her tone before she abruptly stood from the chair so she could throw her plastic bowl into the sink. Shaking her head at Adagio, Aria leaned back into her chair. “You must be going through PMS because you’ve been a real bitch since you came back.” That was the last straw for the tall blonde who moved to point at Aria who knew she was testing her limits. She may not be their powerful leader anymore but she still commanded respect as the eldest. “Aria, get off your ass and go to work now!” She yelled out in a tone that left no room for argument. Smiling despite her own irritation at being yelled and pointed at Aria gave her a mock salute. “Exhibit A.” She mocked ducking when Adagio half-heartedly moved to slap her in the face. Their youngest sibling Sonata came in at this moment from the front door and she threw off her coat so she could tumble into Adagio. Grunting from the impact she blocked her face, amusement bubbling in her chest since Sonata thought they had been mock fighting. Sonata managed to get Adagio in a headlock before the taller woman slipped out of it. She smiled as she set her boot on Sonata’s rising and falling chest. “Aw! No fair!” She called out saddened that she had been defeated so easily. “Stay down pup.” She said pretending Sonata was a dog to mess with her. “If we’re done with the alpha act, I am going to work.” The second eldest said moving to take Sonata’s keys since she was still on the floor. Sonata frowned up at Adagio giving her puppy dog looks so she would free her. Doing just so since she had a slight soft spot for her sister, Adagio watched as the door slammed behind Aria. “Ohhh, what did you do to piss her off?” The blue haired woman asked, dusting her working clothes off since she would need to wear them again the next day. Adagio shrugged in response, “When isn’t she angry about something?” She commented playing the fool to avoid having to reveal to Sonata why she was in Canterlot. They always made her feel like she was the bad guy even when she was trying to make certain they all survived. The two of them had really taken to the straight and narrow but Adagio was struggling to avoid the money they had gained through their past exploits. “That’s true but she left without saying goodbye!” Sonata said with a slight whine leaning against the couch as she released her hair from the hat she was wearing. Adagio chuckled in reply, “Go to sleep Sonata and don’t worry about what your grumpy older sisters do.” Sonata shrugged at her with a smile playing on her lips. “You should tell me about who you’re seeing at some point.” She remarked the statement hitting Adagio like a freight train. Feeling extremely confused by this she looked to Sonata but she had her back facing her as she went to get a drink. “What are you talking about?” She could not help but ask finding that she was indeed not seeing anybody. After all, she could not possibly know about… “Aww come on! You’d think I would know when one of my sisters got lucky! So I figured it was somebody you know in Canterlot.” Sonata said her voice brimming with excitement. This caused her to pause realizing she did not give Sonata enough credit because she could be very insightful and detail-oriented sometimes. “I don’t know anyone in Canterlot like that.” She said in a testy tone which Sonata seemed completely unfazed by. Moving to lay on the couch Sonata laughed, “Okay, okay you don’t have to tell me who the lucky girl is.” Feeling alarmed Adagio moved to the couch to look Sonata in the eyes, raising a brow Sonata munched on a candy bar looking up at her sister in confusion. “What?” She questioned appreciating that Adagio’s form was blocking out the sun which had been blinding her through the blinds. “Where are you getting at?” Adagio asked crossing her arms as she hunched over her with threat in her voice. Rolling her similarly magenta colored eyes Sonata shook her head at her. Her voice was garbled from the candy as she spoke, “Nothing, but now I know that you did get with a lady if you’re so secretive about it.” Frowning at that, Adagio huffed shifting away in annoyance because what she had said was true. “I did not sleep with anyone while I was in Canterlot!” Adagio fired back trying to silence Sonata who seemed to get the message just then. “Alright, then maybe you should find someone…” However, towards the end of Sonata’s sentence Adagio fled the house to get away from her infuriating sisters and their ridiculous questions. Watching Adagio’s fleeing figure Sonata hummed to herself before she pulled out her phone to play some Candy Crush. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A train pulled up to the Crystal Point station and unbeknownst to the siren there within the multi-colored train was the last woman she wanted to see. She happened to miss the seven girls and boy who got off the train station as she walked through the snow in a hurry to a coffee shop. Stuffing her cold hands into her pocket Adagio slipped into line to get the warm coffee she desired. They typically did not spring for fast food or expensive drinks too often but with the morning she’s already had she felt deserved a pick-me-up. Looking up to the sign to make a decision Adagio shivered when an individual shoved past her, anger welling up in her chest she bit her tongue to avoid telling them off for being inconsiderate. She was a lit fuse most of the time she knew but she also knew how to behave in public. “Welcome to Ponybucks, what can I get for you today?” A voice asked her which belonged to a chipper worker who was all smiles this morning. It only worked to lift her mood up only slightly as she ordered her drink watching as she wrote ‘Adagio’ on the cup with nice cursive lettering. There was even a small heart that she noticed which she caused the blonde to smirk when she caught the worker’s eyes. Winking at the girl, Adagio took the drink which she had quickly put together for her, their hands purposely touching which caused the girl to blush at her. Moving away after that fun interaction, Adagio found a seat and she idly sipped the coffee while she looked outside. Besides all of the snow that was beautiful as it glittered under the sunlight it seemed to always look like that way here which made Adagio miss greenery such as trees that weren’t crystal, flora, and flowers. Sure flowers bloomed here that were a sight to see but the flowers here in the Empire were nothing like lilies or daisies, nor were there any of her favorites in the shops like geraniums. The specific violet flower that she had conjured up in her mind had unwittingly made her think of Twilight who she had been trying to put out of her thoughts. Not much of that night had conjured up into her memories but slight moments did which seemed to signify that the night she had spent was indeed in the same bar Twilight and her friends had gone too, and yet somehow none of them but a drunken Twilight had noticed her. Next thing she knew they were laughing about some dorky fact Twilight had said but Adagio could have sworn she was so drunk she hadn’t even recognized Twilight, but then again when she thought about it Twilight was wearing a disguise so as to be left alone by the paparazzi and public who would love to snap pictures of a drunk and partying Princess. The real question then was why did her friends leave her unattended and what had Twilight done to charm her so? Had they had a good conversation because they had no idea of their intertwined past? In Adagio’s mind there was no way the two of them had something in common but in truth Adagio really did not know much about the Princess besides that she could be annoyingly optimistic and naïve. When pondering about it Twilight was a beautiful woman which she had to begrudgingly admit in her mind knowing she wouldn’t be able to admit it out loud. She had an amazing figure for someone who seemed to be the introverted and reserved type and she also had eyes that matched amethysts that Adagio had seen in the past. Realizing that she was thinking about Twilight Sparkle’s eyes she drank more of her coffee hoping the burn down her throat would get rid of the insanity that was her actually admiring Twilight. “Why am I thinking about her anyway…” Adagio growled out nearly jumping when the girl that had taken her order had appeared in front of her. Offering her what she probably thought was a flirty smile she asked Adagio if she needed another drink. Refusing the offer since she did not want to spend more than she had she was surprised that she was willing to give her another cup on the house. Smiling in return Adagio adopted a sultry look which earned her a drink quicker than she could blink. Thanking the generous waitress Adagio drank more of her favorite coffee glad to know that flirting could still get her things she wanted. Glancing out the window again the drink got stuck in her throat causing Adagio to sputter, covering it up with a cough which hurt since it was hot coffee Adagio was glad to find cold water that had been set on the table. Taking a sip she steeled her nerves upon seeing Sunset Shimmer. She had not expected to see her here. Watching her discreetly she noticed that Sunset was walking with Rarity which meant the rest had to be somewhere. Worried that they were in town she hoped that she would be able to completely avoid them when she left. They were visiting the Princess and Prince no doubt, Adagio thought knowing of Twilight’s relation to Prince Shining Armor immediately upon meeting him. She had met him upon bad circumstances but it was due to him that the Sirens were allowed citizenship within the Crystal Empire. Even if he looked at her like she was an ant he could step on. Sighing Adagio got up from her seat not waving to the girl that had given her the extra drink as she left the establishment. Trudging through the snow covered streets Adagio kept her head down making certain she was a far enough distance when she saw more of the women who had stopped the Sirens from their domination of Canterlot. It had been unexpected since they had been laying in wait in the shadows but Twilight, Sunset, and the others had reacted quickly once they noticed how many they had entranced. The feeding had been the main objective but a lot had changed when she and the girls had found out they could make a mass amount of people become like sheep, doing their bidding without their free will. Shaking her head to herself she closed her eyes trying to forget about the rainbow sensation that had taken all of that away. It had been a dark place the Sirens had been creating but it was much like missing an part of themselves to be unable to sing anymore. Darkened thoughts flooded her mind and she opened up her eyes to see the Crystal Heart. Somehow in her reminiscing she had walked all the way into the center of town a sort of auto pilot routine when she was feeling upset about something. She did not know what it was about the crystalline heart sculpture that enraptured her but she had been taken with it as soon as she had entered the city. It glowed with power but Adagio enjoyed the structure which was bigger than a horse and probably weighed a ton if someone were to try to lift it. Those with magic she knew could likely lift it with their telekinesis but it was something to think about other than her problems in life. Sighing which expelled into the air due to the cold temperature she hugged her arms glad she had grabbed a scarf on her way out of the house. It was in the lesser neighborhoods of the Empire but the kingdom in its entirety was astounding even if there were people going hungry within its walls. Adagio knew a lot about governments and their empires as long ago she and her sisters had seen many fall to strife in time, but now with the addition of Cadence and Twilight, as well as the Tree of Harmony. Life was actually peaceful in Equestria. Shaking her thoughts away, Adagio turned only to lock eyes with the very amethysts she had thought of. Heat flooded her face and chest upon seeing the Princess and she stood stock still trying to process how she had not noticed that they had walked up on her. She was an idiot for standing out here in the open in the freezing cold thinking about peace, governments, and Princesses that had ruined the only life she knew. Perhaps she put too much blame on other people. "Hi Adagio." Sunset started as an awkward tension flooded the air. She was standing next to Twilight who had frozen in a similar stance. She was wearing a long violet coat with white fur and pink fur boots that matched her hair which had grown a lot from two years ago when Adagio had first seen the girls. Squinting at Sunset and the others she frowned kind of liking that she was making them all so uncomfortable. She had thought she had told Twilight to stay away from her and here she is standing in front of her with her friends gaping at her like a fish. A smile grew on her face at that because perhaps she could have fun with this if she was not too obvious. "Hello Sunset, it's so nice to see you again." Adagio purred out in the most seductive velvety tone she could muster. Twilight did not have a visceral reaction but she walked closer which caused the taller woman to tense. "It is?" Sunset questioned not taking notice of the reactions that Adagio was invoking in her friend. Starlight suddenly stepped forward seeming to perceive Adagio as a threat. "You're that Siren they told me about." She said crossing her arms with a challenge in her violet eyes. Sensing this Adagio looked at her, "And who are you?" She asked with slight hostility truthfully having never seen or heard of Starlight. This earned another reaction from a shorter girl who was wearing a large hat and Adagio almost burst out laughing since the blue haired women was actually wearing a cape. It was unique and something about this was comical. Perhaps it was sinister but seeing them actually lifted her soured mood. "I'm-" Starlight begins only for Twilight to interrupt them. "I'm sorry but we really need to hurry. Please excuse us Miss Dazzle." Twilight said interrupting whatever snappy comeback Starlight was going to offer. Slightly surprised by the formality Adagio glanced to the other girls who were either avoiding looking at her like Fluttershy or were giving her glares. They seem to hold grudges for a group that boasted about friendship, Adagio thought knowing she wasn't helping her situation by being rude. Watching the women walk past her she noticed that Twilight was giving her nervous glances and Adagio could only watch them go in silence. A thought had suddenly occurred to her that Twilight seemed to act like she was attracted to her and it was easy for her to notice because of how Twilight's eyes would rake over her even though it would be perceived as wrong too be eyeing someone who was not your spouse. Maybe to her surprise Twilight had liked being the naughty one. The one to cheat and do things bad for once. It seemed so out of character for miss goody two shoes who never did wrong to anyone she came across if she could help it. Adagio then could only come to rationalize that Twilight must not be happy with her relationship and perhaps she needed some help with that. Her grin fell at that and Adagio knew she would not do that because she did not have it in her to do. She had been evil and cruel to many but to destroy a marriage well that was not something easy to stomach, and yet the feelings weighing in her gut nagged at her. She was unsure of what it was exactly but apart of her thought it was loneliness because what happened with Twilight was the first in a decade. Her past self had been too occupied with world domination and revenge against Starswirl that not once on those lonely nights when she stayed up did she think about finding a lover. Alas a one night stand was exactly that a one time event for the two people to remember or deeply regret and Adagio absolutely knew that it was the second option for Twilight. She likely despised Adagio for what she had done to her and she was probably cursing her name for taking away her innocence. At least that was what she imagined Twilight to say to her if they were ever to speak again, not that it would happen. Confusion rushed through her because a small part of her wanted to talk to Twilight and figure out what was happening to her. She was not naïve enough to think that would be a good idea but Adagio's troubled mind was disturbing to her. For whatever reason she liked how delicate Twilight had been with her and how she had made her laugh on one of her most somber of nights. A night she had been trying to drink it all away so she would not remember that she was a failure. Twilight's laughter rang in her ears and she smiled as pieces of the picture came together. She may not have known the woman she was with was Twilight Sparkle but she could no longer deny that she had liked what had happened in some way. "I think I need a therapist because I am actually thinking fondly of her." Adagio said aloud as she walked towards the shopping center which she had planned to get groceries before the events before had transpired. Chuckling the Siren tried to forget about seeing Twilight but she could only think about what she had already seen of her that night. Her skin, the nervousness, and sensuality of it all. Feeling weighed down by these thoughts Adagio fought away her blush as she shopped. She whistled a tune within the store glad it was comfortably warm inside as she plucked the necessities and a few extra items for her own enjoyment. Despite the inability to sing, her fondness for music did not go away so Adagio found a smile playing her lips when she spotted a particular album that she adored. At the house, they had an old cd player that still worked so getting a CD wouldn't be the worst of ideas. Grabbing a couple she waited in the line which was its usual mundane routine. Within a few hours of shopping and her thoughts finally leaving the Princess everything had returned to its comfortable normalcy at this point as Adagio carried the groceries but it all changed when a person ran into her knocking all of the bags and the basket she was walking down into the ground. Falling into the snowy ground Adagio groaned in pain. Suddenly shock shot through her when she saw that the person who had knocked her down was trying to mug her. Thinking that she must have the worst luck in Equestria, Adagio fought back trying to kick whoever it was in the shin with her heeled boot. She managed to hit them in the leg but they were stronger than her. Punching her directly in the jaw Adagio let go with a scream which alerted nearby guards to what was happening. The mugger suddenly darted away and she lifted up from the ground shivering a little since she had been left in the snow. Sighing softly two guards stopped in front of her one of them nice enough to help her with the scattered bags while the other peppered her with questions about the assailant. "I don't know! I was too busy getting mugged!" Adagio eventually shouted out irritation flooding through her since the guard reminded her of Shining Armor with his tone and haircut. Picking up the CDs, Adagio ran a hand through her hair to get rid of the snow that was melting in it. "I'm sorry Miss, we'll try our best to get him. He's been after women and older women for weeks." He remarked and he was the one who had helped her so it worked to calm her down. "Thank you." Adagio said in a more relaxed and softer tone as she took a few deep breathes. She had never been mugged before so it shook her up a little bit. Blinking she raised a brow when the guard in blue offered his arm. "Can I walk you home Miss?" He questioned her with a mustached smile. He was much too old for her so she felt more comfortable accepting his offer however home was not where she wanted to go now. "Could you take me to the castle instead?" Author's Note So writing Adagio's point of view was very enjoyable. I am writing this out in a fast pace so I apologize if there any issues I may have skimmed over. :) Chapter V: Under My SpellAuthor's Note I am going to provide a mature warning for this chapter as it is heavily suggestive. Please do not read if that bothers you. Chapter V: Under My Spell Coughs could be heard inside as the Princess stood outside of her sister-in-law's room. Nervously she nibbled on her lip knowing not only was her brother inside but so was Flash Sentry who she admittedly did not want to see right now. Twilight jumped when someone touched her shoulder but relief calmed her nerves when she saw that it was Shining Armor. Although his two-toned blue hair was rather messy he was offering her a gentle and reassuring smile. "You can go in and see her Twily. The doctor says they are fine." Shining said his shoulders slouching with a similar relief. Moving to hug him Twilight took in a deep breath before she went inside to see no one but Cadence who was looking to the mirror of the room her multi-colored hair covering the side of her face until she turned to look at Twilight. She looked pale to Twilight but she understood that she had been feeling unwell for a week. Shifting to sit on the side of the bed Twilight grabbed Cadence's hands receiving a smile despite how awful she probably felt. "Hey Twilight." Cadence said in a tired voice, "I'm glad you and the girls came all of this way even though they say the baby and I are fine." Her former babysitter said in a laugh earning a hug from Twilight. Tightening the hug Twilight held back tears. She knew she was feeling emotional for many reasons but she hoped she was passing it off completely as concern for her. "Aww, Twilight do not worry I really am going to be okay." Twilight sniffled before she moved out of the hug. "That is a relief I am glad you both are okay..." She went on to say some of her grief leaving her when Cadence grabbed her hand. Noticing a glimmer of recognition, nervousness was inspired in Twilight. "Something else is bothering you, Twilight?" Cadence questioned always one to show concern for others even in her weakened state. Not wishing to put her issues on her Twilight shook her head but she knew Cadence wasn't buying it. "Perhaps but I-" Twilight stopped herself knowing she could not bring herself to say it. Not here and not now when everyone was worried for Princess Cadence's well being and yet her sister persisted. Feeling her warm hand touch her face Twilight blinked anguish showing on her face upon being caught up in her mess immediately. "I will figure it out, you need to worry about getting enough rest." The purple and pink-streaked haired woman said, "I promise, it's nothing I cannot handle." She went on feeling rotten for lying straight to her face. Cadence seemed to understand so she gave her a gentle smile much like the ones she gave her when she was a little girl. "I trust you Twilight..." Cadence said coughing which hurt her chest which had been bruised from her fall, she did not comment on it however as she continued, "I hope this means you will all be staying with us." The Princess said perking up at having guests that she knew. Nodding her head Cadence cheered but that seemed to zap her of her remaining energy so after a while of talking and catching up, Twilight left her room to allow her to rest. Walking to the dining room Twilight noticed Sunburst who was animatedly conversing with Trixie and Starlight and Shining Armor who was speaking with Sunset and the other girls. Knowing he was updating them on Cadence's condition she walked over to join them when a guard announced his presence. Not recognizing it as Flash as she expected she turned to look shocked to see Adagio standing next to a street guard who was already bowing to her. "Pardon me Princess!" He said in a posh tone, "Miss Dazzle here says she knows you and that I could leave her in your care." Twilight gasped upon seeing Adagio who had a nasty bruise across her cheek and jaw and there was a red mark on the side of her head as well. Purple and blue was visible on her face and it was telling of the beating she had received from the mugger that morning. "What in Equestria happened?" Twilight asked with concern looking to Adagio who was averting her gaze. Since the news of Cadence, Twilight had tried to push the very woman out of her mind but upon seeing her on the way to the castle she remained a vivid figure among her thoughts. "I got mugged..." Adagio started moving her gaze back up to Twilight's. Now that she was here it seemed as if she was uncertain as to why she wanted to see Twilight to begin with. Feeling rude suddenly Twilight allowed the guard relief so he could leave and she asked Adagio to sit down which she accepted. Sitting in a dining room chair, Adagio visibly gulped feeling more and more awkward by the minute. "Perhaps we should talk elsewhere?" Twilight suddenly said standing from her seat. Adagio nodded her head at that and she followed behind the Princess noticing a few curious glances from some of the guards as they walked towards a guest room. Twilight was feeling rather paranoid about this but she chose not to comment knowing that no one would suspect her of anything, and yet knowing she was guilty made her feel like they did suspect. Extending her hand out in a forward motion she calmed herself down before she shut the door behind them. Glancing to the other woman she once again offered her a place to sit which Adagio accepted. "Already to bed, are we?" Adagio teased causing chills to erupt down Twilight's spine. Looking away to ignore the tease Twilight discarded her winter coat revealing her cotton purple shirt underneath as well as the black skirt she was wearing. "What are you doing here?" Twilight questioned immediately cutting to the chase. She had chosen to sit on the white guest bed and she set her hands behind her to grip the fabric when Adagio moved to join her. She sighed softly which Twilight could hear as Adagio put a hand to her own face. "I've had a terribly awful and odd day...and when I got hurt I did not want Sonata to see me so I decided to come here. It's foolish and irrational I know." Adagio said as she turned to look away her leg crossing over the left as she got a little more comfortable. "Is keeping it a secret harder than you thought?" Twilight proceeded to ask in a whisper her voice sounding like a rasp to Adagio who unexpectedly shivered at hearing her question. Eventually nodding in reply, Twilight looked over to her. "I'm sorry you got mugged, it looked like it hurt. Well... I am not sure if this would make you feel better but I have had a terrible day myself." Twilight said with sympathy locking the door with her pink magic when she remembered she hadn't manually. Watching this action with what looked to be interest the Princess felt her body heat up when Adagio shifted closer. This was absurd that they were together in this room at this very moment. It was not as if either of them were emotional able and wanting to do anything, but it set Twilight on edge. Something she noticed that had Adagio vibrating where she sat. It was almost like electricity was flowing through the air and sparks were shooting out, their particular sparks reacting to each other like atoms that bonded. The thought of bonding made Twilight gulp since this domination of Adagio in her mind was making her afraid and frustrated. "You have?" Adagio whispered back her pink tongue running across her top lip to wet it without her being aware of it. Twilight however was acutely aware of it as her eyes drank in the site of the alluring and gorgeous woman that was sitting next to her. Adagio had been wearing a heavy coat but she was now discarding it as the temperature in the room was making her feel like she was roasting in a fire. Watching this action from the corner of her eyes Twilight shifted her legs together as the blonde's long, lavender shirt underneath slipped to reveal her left shoulder. She noticed a spattering of freckles that she was unaware of when Adagio dipped her body forward in a stretch. Without her consent Twilight's eyes watched this motion as they trailed down past Adagio's now visible black bra strap to her shorter than necessary skirt and dark violet leggings which had small lighter triangles down her thighs and legs. Sitting up straight her traitorous eyes took note of Adagio's endowment which caused her face to flush since she was looking at her like she had never seen a beautiful woman before. Tightening her hands together Twilight stood and she looked away trying to get rid of the image of a cat like grin that Adagio had been giving her letting her know that she had taken notice of Twilight's ogling. Knowing she was not thinking straight with Adagio in the room, Twilight went to the door the tension making crackles of butterflies erupt within her chest and heat to appear in other places. "Twilight." Her voice was smooth as silk and Twilight's knees shook the feeling reminding her of how she felt on her first date. "Adagio." She replied turning to cross her arms surprised when the blonde stood to face her. Their heavy breathing could be heard but neither of them said anything for a moment letting their mixture of feelings and emotions radiate in the air. "I'm mystified by how one night has made me feel so confused. How one night can make everything a mess." She continued to speak in a low whisper so only Twilight could hear her. She was backing the taller woman into a corner now but Twilight allowed her to do so, unused to someone who had a commanding air like Adagio. Licking her bottom lip Twilight hummed in agreement, "Adagio I...I will have to tell him." She went on guilt attempting to surface but it was stifled by Adagio who was locking her dark magenta eyes with hers. Shifting towards her Adagio set her hand to the wall which trapped Twilight on one side. Even though the bruises had marred Adagio's jaw it did not stop Twilight from finding her attractive as the smell of flowers flooding her senses. Adagio's perfume seemed to be a mixture of roses and daisies which Twilight knew since daisies were her favorite flower. "Tell him what?" Her voice had found a lower register that Twilight did not know Adagio had and it sent goosebumps through her arms at the sound. "Tell him that I had sex with someone else." She answered the frown on the other woman's face telling her that she had said something wrong. Trying to catch her breath since she was wondering why she wasn't panicking right now, Twilight cleared her throat only for Adagio to shift away something she found she did not want. Moving forward since Adagio had moved away a crooked grin formed on the Siren's face much like the one she had given Twilight when she had told her to leave her alone. It was a dichotomy to the emotions that were fluttering through Adagio's eyes right now. "You're going to tell him that you fucked me?" Adagio offered her eyebrows knitting since she did not think that was a good idea. "I don't think you should Twilight." She purred out pushing any worries that she had since she was in full on seduction mode. A small part of her was wondering why she had such a intense desire for the woman in front of her. Especially this woman who she used to hate with her entire being and yet this desire had shifted on its axis and all she wanted to do now was touch her lips with her own and more if Twilight were to allow it. Morals seemed to be out the window with the two of them already even with how wrong it was and how wrong it would seem to everyone else, Adagio could not help but feel that she was supposed to be there with Twilight. Twilight Sparkle who was acting like a puddle right in front of her. "Why...why are you..." Twilight started her heart fluttering what seemed like a thousand beats per minute when Adagio pressed her body against hers. "Why did you seduce me at the bar?" Adagio rebuffed moving to run her left hand through Twilight's dark violet hair the strands falling back into their place as Adagio's fingers stopped at her neck where she knew the hickey was. She touched it with her fingerprints because she simply could not help herself watching with satisfaction when Twilight shivered against her cold fingers. Twilight's neck was soft to the touch and warm and Adagio was tempted to take another bite when Twilight stopped her by setting her hand on her chest. Glancing up Adagio smiled because she believed that she secretly wanted her to do it or this would feel worse if she was imagining it all in her head. "You're saying I seduced you?" The scholar asked tilting her head in question as she truthfully did not quite remember that part. "Yes, you came over to me, but you did not know it was me, Stellar Gleam." Adagio chuckled out using the fake name she had given her that night. Looking down at this Twilight's heart plummeted realizing she had been the reason all of this started to begin with. "Are you mad at me? For coming on to you and-mmpf Adag-." Chuckling since she had to stop her with her hand, Adagio shook her head a lovely chuckle vibrating in her chest which Twilight felt in her fingers. Noticing that she was still touching her chest she moved her hand a redness covering her face and ear tips as shyness overtook her again. "You do ramble a lot, but it is very cute when you do it." The blonde admitted some of her pride falling since she was too infatuated at this point to care about the anger she had held onto for so long. The longer she analyzed it and the Princess she found that she understood a bit more of why it is Twilight was the one to stop her and her sisters. It did not mean she was going to go easy on her or that she did not still dislike that she could not use her voice as she wanted too. Grabbing Adagio's hand that had kept her from speaking Twilight leaned forward able to tower over the blonde easily, but it only worked to entice Adagio more until Twilight pushed her into the bed. Shocked and kind of thrilled by this action she smiled until Twilight threw covers over her, without saying a word as to why Twilight slipped into the bed with her when a knock sounded at the door. Shielding Adagio with her body Twilight answered it only for it to be her brother asking if she wanted dinner with the others. Holding in a chuckle as to why they were hiding Adagio moved to wrap an arm around Twilight's waist causing her stomach to suck inward as her breathing became shallow. "No thank you B.B.B.F.F. I am feeling tired from the trip." Twilight called out holding in giggles because Adagio's hand was tickling her stomach and she knew she was doing it on purpose. "Okay Twily, in an hour Flash will be able to see you." He said causing a shard of guilt to once again enter her chest. "Thank you." She said weakly listening as her brother's footsteps retreated. Moving out of the covers Twilight got out of Adagio's reach and she sat up putting her hands into her face as tears streaked down her face. Hearing the sounds of sniffling the excitement Adagio had felt diminished and she shifted to sit beside Twilight. She had lifted her hand to touch Twilight but she thought better of it. "I'm sorry..." The siren apologized feeling remorse for her actions in all of it for the first time, "At first I blamed you for it but I was an active participant. So if he as great as you think he is, then he should understand." As the sniffling lessened the Princess wiped away her tears feeling embarrassed for crying in front of her. "I can't do things like this without feeling bad about it." She said in a saddened tone since she did feel desire for Adagio that she knew she should not feel. "But we haven't done anything, Princess." Adagio commented nudging her gently with her arm. "I'm just some mug victim who wanted to see the Princess for sympathy." She stated earning a eye roll from Twilight. "That does not make any sense Adagio and you are known for mostly making sense." She stated a bit of her whimper leaving her voice. Biting her lip Adagio touched Twilight's shoulder unknowingly grazing a sensitive spot for the woman. She shivered again as she turned to look at her. "Nothing about this makes sense." She rasped her eyes lowering as she gazed at her. Much like a gravitational pull both woman were moving towards each other. "Not in a million years...would you and I..." Adagio continued her voice taking on that sultry velvety tone. "Be interested..." Twilight filled in her own voice reaching a deeper rasp as her long hair fall over her shoulder once Adagio moved it from her face. "In touching..." Adagio taunted prolonging the aching feel of release that they both wanted. "Each other." Twilight whimpered out unable to say the word that Adagio wanted to hear. Smirking Adagio pushed forward meeting her lips with Twilight's soft ones hastily. immediately she felt pressure against her own as Twilight pushed back, her upper lip overlapping her bottom lip as they kissed. Shifting up she kissed Twilight's tears away which the struggling woman thought was sweet. Leaning forward she met her mouth with Adagio's again and she moaned when Adagio moved to sit in her lap. Their chests met as the blonde pushed herself into Twilight's body their lips meeting over and over as if they could not get enough. Moving even closer Adagio's touched her neck with one hand and her cheek with her other as she guided Twilight in the kiss. Their kisses were slowing now but their passion increased while Adagio shifted her touching from her face so she could run her long, slender fingers through Twilight's hair the movement being matched by Twilight's hands which were stroking her sides and back. They nipped at each other's lips and Twilight groaned when Adagio bit her on the lip her teeth dragging it out before she released, the fire of the bite only increasing the passion between them as they tussled with each other. Slowly they met each other in a kiss as Adagio's tongue attempted to gain entry. Heat seemed to explode in Twilight's chest at the naughtiness of everything, and a dilemma of what she was doing had begun to surface in her mind. However, each thought broke apart with each touch that she felt the other woman make. She felt flutters settle into her stomach when she heard Adagio growl the vibrations sending warmth through her body as if she was in a pleasurable fire. Shifting to kiss Adagio's soft neck she gave it a long lick before she opened her mouth to bite, but before she could mark her neck Adagio stopped her by pulling her head up into another kiss. "You're a devious one Twilight Sparkle." A throaty voice whispered once they had broken off the kiss. She opened her eyes at that to look up at her. Her large curls clung to her face where she was sweating and her eyes were lidded in such a hungered way that she actually trembled underneath her stare. Her gaze shifted to the woman's plump pink lips which were open as she breathed. She could easily take notice of the redness on her lips and it occurred to her that this was the hottest sight she had ever seen in her life. To her delight Adagio smiled at her even if it looked like the bruises on her face still hurt her. Feeling bad for another reason Twilight touched her cheek taking care to not press too hard. Closing her eyes in response Adagio's nuzzled her hand in an act of gentleness most would never suspect of her. Taken with a feeling of deep desire once more Twilight lifted Adagio from her lap earning a laugh of surprise in response. Suddenly Adagio felt her back hit the bed as Twilight moved to kiss the side of her mouth and her jaw. She was careful with her when she noticed the hiss of pain that Adagio made, Twilight moved to gently kiss her jawline instead taking care to touch it with her lips enjoying immensely how soft and defined Adagio's jaw was. Their bodies pressed into each other as they kissed only for Adagio's breath to hitch when she felt a hand trail past her breasts to her stomach. Knowing where this was going Adagio stopped her hand by grabbing it which stopped Twilight's actions altogether. "I'm sorry." Twilight said to her moving to look her in the eyes once again. Struck with the look she was giving her she wrapped her arms around Twilight's back. Breathing heavily from the intense session they just had she allowed for Twilight to touch her face as they took stock of their situation. "This is a dangerous road." Adagio warned the thought of getting caught sobering her from the effects all of it was having on her. She had been enraptured by Twilight's movements and the look in her beautiful jewel-like eyes because it made her feel so wanted but then she remembered everything that could go wrong if someone were to see them. Sense, Adagio soon found was overrated but it had guided her for most of her life and she was not known for rash decisions, but then again neither was Twilight Sparkle. Twilight's chest rose and fell into Adagio's as she propped herself above her. She bit her lip in a way that created a familiar warmth to stir in Adagio's chest. "I already travel many dangerous pathways." The Princess dared finding that she was in too deep to reverse her direction. A gentleness entered her features as her heart seemed to thump heavily against her chest. "I haven't felt as wanted as I do right now with you." Twilight admitted the arrows running into her heart since she was admitting it. Hearing such a confession Adagio felt surprised to hear this was how Twilight had been feeling. Propping her body up by her elbows Adagio met Twilight's eyes intimately. "This is the truth?" She asked her not thinking that Twilight would make up such a lie but she could not help but be suspicious. She nodded her head in reply looking to the golden ring that was on her finger. Sighing softly Twilight shifted up from Adagio and she hugged herself. "He's not really...shown interest in me in awhile." Twilight ran a hand through her hair in frustration. "But that makes it sound like your some piece of meat." She covered her eyes which were showing of her shame but then she felt Adagio wrap her arms around her. Setting her chin on Twilight's knee, a choice made itself evident to Adagio. "Kiss me Twilight if you want me and we'll figure out what to do together." Adagio whispered her voice finding a delicate edge as she stroked Twilight's knee with her thumb. Glancing up in shock Twilight's thoughts raced in her head but she chose to silence them by grabbing Adagio roughly by her scarf. Chapter VI: Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice"You're stiff Twilight." Adagio groaned out moving from atop Twilight to hover over the woman who had gone from lustful princess to as nervous as a horse around a rattlesnake. She supposed that made her the snake but she tried not to like that idea. If she was a snake she could strike and get rid of her enemies, but then she'd be a oily creature that slithered on the ground and that really killed the mood for her. As for Twilight she was looking up at her like a deer caught in headlights before she shook her head realizing how this must be making Adagio feel. Shifting up Twilight wrapped her arms around the woman in her lap and she nuzzled her neck. This action caused Adagio to blush as she had not been expecting that. "I want too, but my family and friends are here and I guess I am nervous because..." Her sentence drifted as she nuzzled Adagio's chest much to the other woman's enjoyment. Curious as to what she was going to say she moved to tilt Twilight's chin up so she could look her in the eyes again. "Nervous because of what?" She inquired lifting her eyebrows in a flirty manner which earned a giggle out of Twilight. It was a cute laugh that made Adagio smile for some reason, but she tried not to go into such thoughts when they were trying to have a good time. It was made possible by Twilight's soundproofing spell but she did have to admit this was all very sudden. As sudden as it was Adagio found that she wanted to be with Twilight and that stirred within her as the tan woman under her cut her eyes away that bashful look on her face returning full force. What was it about this woman? She wondered tilting her head which meant Twilight was now speaking into her ear. "Because you're beautiful and you seem to know what you're doing." Twilight admitted in a hushed whisper almost becoming startled when Adagio moved from her lap. "Come here." She instructed which Twilight quickly obeyed the sternness of Adagio's voice reminding her of when she had been mean to her in the past. It was not as if she had a thing for people being rude to her but that edge to Adagio's voice made her feel a certain way. She crawled over to the siren in a crouched position until she was face to face with her. Moving her finger she motioned for Twilight to come even closer and so she did their faces separated by a mere inch until she kissed her on the lips. It was a short kiss which seemed to end too quickly for Twilight who tried to catch Adagio's lips again only for Adagio to deny her of it. "You like to be in command." She stated with a smirk as she looked Twilight up and down. Raising a brow Twilight's blush increased tenfold, "Whatever do you mean?" She attempted trying to play coy but it clearly did not work since Adagio was staring straight at her. "But here you are letting me walk all over you." She said with a sigh shaking her head at her this. The comment sparked indignation within Twilight who did not believe that was true. "You're not-" She started but soon she was pushed into the bed and Adagio was grinning down at her, she pressed her body weight down onto the Princess who did not seem too worried about it before she licked her neck. Kissing her neck, Twilight shivered under her and she gasped when she felt a knee move in between her legs. A blazing inferno settled in her chest and face as she moved agonizingly slow. The leg stopped when Adagio lifted up from Twilight's neck a mocking smile on her face. Seeing this Twilight frowned at her and she grew a little restless. "Rude." She whispered out her frustration building since Adagio's point was being made. "You like me." She stated with a shrug, but she jumped when Twilight lifted her hand up using her magic to push Adagio off of her. Surprised by these turn of events she felt her body tingle as Twilight's magic tickled her. She felt her face grow red as her magic began to touch her places but it stopped much sooner than her liking. Breathing out like she had just run a race Adagio growled out in a similar frustration. "I know what you are..." She husked out finding herself licking her lips when Twilight grabbed her wrists, moving to pin them behind her on the bed. It was a firm grasp at first but then she loosened it enough for Adagio to get out of it if she wanted. "What am I?" Twilight questioned intertwining their fingers as she kept Adagio's hands above her head. Blushing in response to this the blonde lost her train of thought once Twilight powered up her magic within her hands, the vibrations messing with her senses while she used her magic to take off her shirt. Gulping slightly she allowed Twilight to do so trying to hide her grin since this was working as she had intended. She grabbed the lavender shirt in her hand and she tossed it to a chair nearby watching Twilight's reaction to her shirtless figure. Her chest lifted and fell while Twilight traced her finger down her neck to the valley of her breasts. A few freckles were scattered throughout her shoulders but they were not seen elsewhere and she gasped softly when she felt Twilight touch the top of her breast with her lips. Heat flooded through her body and it centered around where she was being bitten. A mark made itself present once the Princess moved away her violet eyes roaming Adagio like she was a work of art. "You're a lot more assertive than you give yourself credit for!" Adagio breathed starting to visibly sweat when she felt lips against her neck and shoulders, suddenly without warning she was being bitten by a deer turned lion who was feverish in her attempts to mark her prize. It shocked her how quickly Twilight's mood shifted from timid to bold. "I think..." Twilight purred her fingers moving from Adagio's hands to her waistband but they remained rooted as she kept them on her hips. "You want me..." She continued with a smile her hand moving dangerously close to where Adagio wanted it to be. "To tease you." She eventually whispered touching her everywhere else than where she was supposed too. Frustration fluttered through Adagio at this sensation once she realized that through this Twilight was the one in the advantage. Eyebrows knitting together she grabbed Twilight's face and she kissed her listening to their mutual moans that made her want her even more. "Twilight..." Adagio groaned out in desperation her legs wrapping around the clothed of the two. "Touch me...and do not make me beg." The threat leaving her voice once she moaned, Twilight did just as she asked her chest rising and falling faster while her mind shorted out at the realization the Princess of Friendship was touching her. Excited that Twilight seemed to feel more confident in herself she continued to moan into her ear which only seemed to make everything better for her. "Does that feel good?" Twilight questioned breathing just as heavy as the siren under her. She smiled at hearing Adagio's approval and she continued, the feeling unlike anything she has felt before but then again... "Yes!" Adagio whispered out as Twilight watched the pleasure rise on the blonde's face. She appeared so human and vulnerable as she watched Adagio, her face reaching a peak of red when magenta eyes opened to look at her. They locked gazes intensely, the other woman's legs tightening around her as they moved in tandem with one another. "A-Are you sure you haven't done this before?" Adagio purred lust clouding her irises as she gazed up at her. Her fingers found their way under Twilight's shirt while she felt her skirt move down her legs. The feeling was too slow for her liking but she said nothing of it as she helped her remove the clothing. Now all that remained was her leggings which she felt the Princess touch with her other hand as she moved against her. "I study." She remarked with a smile on her face seeming to be especially fascinated with how Adagio was reacting to her touches. Closing her eyes Adagio groaned again the feeling making her feel like she was flying in the air when she was touched in a particular spot. "You sure do like to study me." She teased with a smile her hands finding Twilight's endowments which she knew made the woman above her shiver. "I am a headmistress, it's my job to learn." She heard her moan and it sparked a fire in her stomach since she was nearing something amazing. She could not help but chuckle at this new information having not known that Twilight was a teacher. "...Mistress..." She whispered out in a sensual purr the name calling catching Twilight off guard. Her face continued to burn as she moved to kiss her neck, the biting continuing since every movement, moan, and growl was weakening her in the knees and excitement burned its way through her as they made love. Suddenly before she knew it Adagio's grip tightened almost painfully around her neck and back as she clung to her, the pleasured sound she was making enlarging Twilight's pupils as she watched her writhe under her. She continued to moan for a while longer as her face flushed red, a smile uplifting her lips once she was able to relax. Feeling a tingle all over her body she hummed when Twilight pulled her on top of her. She had ditched her long violet shirt in the process and she found that she enjoyed the sensation of Twilight's soft skin against her own. Propping her head on Twilight's chest she smirked at her, "What's that smile about?" Twilight questioned curiously still reeling from the fact this was happening. She knew no one would be able to hear what they were doing but the wrongness of the act seemed to only increase her excitement. She felt that lingering guilt deep inside her stomach remain but the rightness of being in Adagio's arms pushed it aside again. Thoughts continued to race in her head as her heart picked up its pace but Adagio quieted it when she met her wet lips with her dry ones. She could dominate their kisses with ease and Twilight found herself under the siren's 'spell' whenever she kissed her like that. She pushed into it and she lavished Twilight's face with kisses as she went on. Amusement bubbled in Twilight's chest at this action and so the blonde continued to kiss her all over her face, the laughs only egging her on. Stopping to rest on her chest again Twilight's mouth lifted into a smile while Adagio stared at her. "You're infuriatingly cute and sexy mistress." The siren said with her usual crooked smirk and Twilight gulped, finding that her limbs were feeling like jelly because of what Adagio could do with her voice when she spoke to her. She could sound like a phone sex operator if she wanted to and it only worked to slow the Princess's thoughts. "Wouldn't you technically be the mistress?" She posed with a quirked brow. Adagio chuckled deeply, the sound Twilight thought would be silk and velvet combined if it were to be a texture. The thought moved her onto to Adagio's eyes which were passionate and intense when she looked into them. Noticeably as they relaxed in one another's arms her piercing gaze was softening and she felt that Adagio should look more at peace like that more often. "I did not know you had such a fetish." The siren purred with a sweet grin, her grin widening when Twilight's face lit up like a Hearth's Warming Tree. "I-I do not." She protested with an indignant pout. Raising a brow at this Adagio shifted up so that she was straddling Twilight's prone form. She pointed to her chest which immediately drew in Twilight's eyes as she slipped off a bra strap 'accidentally.' However, she was more focused on the several teeth marks that Twilight had made on her left shoulder, breast, and neck. She trailed the red marks with her finger before she glanced back to Twilight. "I think you were trying to eat me." She joked earning a slap in the thigh from Twilight. She groaned at that and her eyebrows raised in an increasingly teasing manner. Boy, is she fun to tease, Adagio thought when Twilight moved up to face her. Keeping her body propped up by her arms she mock glared at Adagio who she knew was messing with her for the fun of it. Moving to touch where she slapped her Twilight stroked the spot gently as if she was sorry she hit her. Even though she was feeling a little irritated from her teasing she could not help but take notice of where Adagio had been punched in the face. The bruises were healing remarkably well already but she felt now that she had been a little too rough with her in her passions. Shifting from under Adagio she pulled the unsuspecting blonde into an embrace which she slowly returned, the feeling of Twilight's arms making her feel more secure than she has felt in a long time. "Why are you so..." Adagio started her curls intertwining with Twilight's straight violet hair as they hugged. A nervousness stirred in her stomach and she swallowed thickly trying to decipher this new feeling. It was much different from her lust and desire for the woman before her and it was almost so sweet it made her feel sick. "So kind?" She eventually said her eyebrows crinkling since she was uncertain if that was the word she had been looking for. Twilight could not help but giggle in reply at that which earned a pout from Adagio. Shifting away but keeping her hands on Twilight's shoulder, Adagio glared at her although her face was a cheery red when they locked gazes this time. "Why are you being nice to me now?" She questioned back obviously avoiding the question Adagio had laid out for her. Huffing Adagio raised a brow, "Why did you not answer my question Princess?" She instead replied earning a glint of annoyance in Twilight's eyes that made her feel smug. "Socratic method dictates to induce critical thinking..." Twilight paused at that with a cute little grin on her face, "Ask me a better question, Adagio." Sighing at this Adagio shifted in thought her body tensing only slightly when Twilight ran her hands down her arms. In response she moved her legs into Twilight's. She felt a little nervous about their shift in conversation but suddenly a question that had been nagging in her mind appeared. "When did you come to realize you liked women?" Adagio questioned with a curious smile on her face as she tilted her head in anticipation. Watching Twilight's reaction she grew to like the range of thoughts that seemed to display themselves on her face. It was a flicker of emotions that transitioned possibly as rapidly as her thoughts did. "Ponyville." She stated with a resolute nod and a slight nervousness filtered in when she spoke again, "It was difficult having so many female friends and never having the courage to admit I find girls attractive, but that probably seems extremely silly to you." "No, no it doesn't...I was from a time when it was illegal. Far worse to be doing what we are now then if I were a man." She remarked with a chuckle which sounded sad to Twilight. She was suddenly searching Adagio's eyes but she remained resolute and unmoving almost as if she was gifted at hiding her emotions when she wanted too. A gentleness stirred in Twilight and she moved to kiss Adagio gently. "But it is still wrong, what we are doing..." The Princess eventually said with a deep sigh a weak smile dampening her pretty features. "And yet here we are." Adagio threw back her fingers finding Twilight's chin so she would look at her. "Do not back away from what you want Twilight. I say you should take it, life is too short to go over the moral ambiguities. You either want to be with him or you do not." The roughness of her tone had caused Twilight to back away from her something she knew she did not want, but the damage of her briskness had been done. Tears threatened to spill from her eyes and the siren found her mood sullied from the conversation she had actually been enjoying. A ping of guilt slide into Adagio's heart and she reached forward to touch Twilight's arm. "Twilight I..." However anything that she was about to say was unluckily interrupted from the knock she now dreaded deeply. Sobering up from the tears Twilight glanced to the door and back to Adagio gazing in silence as she moved to get dressed. Suddenly a voice penetrated through the silence and Twilight bit her lip at hearing Flash's voice. "Twilight, hey I heard you were feeling tired so I brought something for you." She knew that likely meant he had brought her something to eat which struck her as sweet, a gesture she certainly had not been expecting what with their recent issue of connection. Wanting to sob she stood from the bed throwing on her shirt as she tried to fix the wrinkles in it. Before she could say something to Adagio, the siren was already standing in front of her fully dressed. Nervously she looked down at her when Adagio pulled her into her arms. "Teleport me outside." She said in a more hollowed tone than she had been expecting. Surprised her eyebrows crinkled downward, "It's freezing out there!" Twilight replied looking out the window to see the luminescent moon and the very snowflakes she knew were trickling down onto the ground. With a start Adagio gripped her by the collar of the shirt and she kissed her deeply. Once the kiss ended Adagio's voice bordered on deadly, "Do as I say now." Slightly dazed from the kiss, Twilight teleported them in a bright flash of pink the spell effectively ending her sound proofing spell she had been powering. Soon they were outside the castle entrance and the blonde's grip tightened on Twilight when she nearly slid and fell flat on her ass. Straightening out her coat and footing Adagio glanced back up at the Princess who was shivering since she did not have her coat on. The moonlight created a glow behind the woman in front of her and the siren gasped quietly the sudden cold of the night reminding her of the feeling of whenever she had jumped into water for the first time and she hadn't acclimated to it yet so it felt like ice was biting at her body. "How was this a good idea?" Twilight asked aloud unconsciously huddling closer to Adagio for warmth. "You don't want to be caught, do you sweetheart?" She bit back with a similar fluster. Gripping her arms she glared at Adagio, "If I am missing, do you not think that is suspicious?" She asked her grip lessening as she shifted to rub Adagio's arms for her. It created a warmth to flutter in Adagio's chest but now she was too angry to think on it. "Then go back to Flashlight or whatever his name is and I will find a cab home. They surely have one somewhere!" The blonde said practically vibrating with anger. Deep down she felt it was unfair to treat Twilight as she was, but she really did not want to psychoanalysis why the thought of Flash made her upset. "Flash Sentry." Twilight whispered out a frown on her face that made Adagio feel guiltier for putting it there, but then again she had figured Twilight had at least the faintest idea of what she was getting into. Then again maybe Adagio did not even know what she was getting into. Sighing softly Twilight's mouth twitched into a small smile and she closed her eyes as wings sprouted out behind her nearly startling the wits out of Adagio because she had forgotten Twilight even had pegasi wings. Large, soft lavender wings presented themselves and with fascination Adagio took in the woman who's wingspan was remarkable and who's wings were unlike other wings she had seen before. It glittered faintly with the magic she had used to open them and underneath the primary were darker colored wings that nearly matched the shirt she was wearing. Before she knew it she was being encircled protectively and a soothing sort of warmth invaded her as Twilight hugged her with them. Shocked speechless Adagio resisted the urge to touch them knowing they were soft feathers by the close look she was getting of them. Penetrating the silence with her own heated glare Adagio kept quiet waiting for what Twilight was going to say since she was clearly not going to allow her to leave yet. "I'm taking you home no exceptions and I will offer some sort of explanation to Flash when I return. As for you and I, I'm sorry..." At this Twilight's voice had halted causing some nervous energy to flicker between the both of them. As angry as they had been feeling at one another for the heated words they had shared, distinctly the desire and chemistry they felt only seemed to perpetuate and grow. At least, that was what Adagio found she was hoping for. It's hopeless, Adagio thought looking up at Twilight with worry that she was becoming weak for her. "Adagio?" She heard Twilight ask and she cleared her throat realizing she had drifted in her thoughts blinking up she noticed a slight look of hurt because she had clearly said something important. "I'm sorry..." Adagio muttered out when she found that they were now walking in the direction of her apartment. Halting her steps she gripped Twilight's hand, "What was it that you said?" She insisted a smiling tugging at her mouth when Twilight squeezed her hand. Her large wings moved on their own accord and one of them wrapped around Adagio's back earning an embarrassing squeak from the woman. Twilight giggled at that and she glanced away with the decorum of bashfulness, "That was to get your attention since your mind seems occupied..." She said the wing making her feel like a cloud was guiding her along. Fighting a glare because of the great injustice that was Twilight's adorability, Adagio urged her to tell her what she had said once more. "I'm sorry for laying all of my worries on you about..." Twilight was a waning and waxing moon of blushes that Adagio found she enjoyed but she continued to remain silent so as to hear Twilight through their echoing footsteps. Although it was likely around eleven at night no guards were in sight which mystified her. "Him, and for not appreciating that I agreed to our re-relationship." And the stutter crafted a giddiness inside of Adagio at the mere innocence of how Twilight spoke to her. It was genuine and sweet, and it was almost hard to believe that Twilight had just rocked her world only a short few minutes ago. Chuckling Adagio shook her head, turning down a street since she lived fairly close to the castle for their budget, although Adagio did proof persuasive when it came to realtors. Stopping Adagio pointed down the snowy road to where her home was located trying to hide her blush because of how quaint it was compared to where she knew the Princess usually lived. Twilight appeared unaffected however and that was when she noticed that she had been looking at her this whole time. She's almost like a puppy, Adagio remarked smart enough to know she should never voice that aloud. Turning to look directly at her paramour she felt her legs step forward until she was leaning into her. Tugging Twilight into her by her behind she heard her breath hitch when she kept her hands in that exact location. Their breaths visibly mingled due to the cold temperatures and their noses were already reddening but she kept her focus on her eyes liking despite her nervousness that her gaze nearly never wavered from hers. Closing her eyes she displayed the dark makeup on her eyelids as she spoke, "Saying I forgive you seems misguided so I will cut to the chase...Twilight..." She whispered opening her eyes once she said her name. "I want to see you again." The words were much like a bandage had been ripped off and Twilight actually sighed with relief until Adagio touched her lips with her finger as she was prone to do, "But we need to lay down ground rules, preferably when we are not freezing our asses off." She said with a chuckle squeezing Twilight's butt since she had the chance too without resistance. Letting out a yelp from the surprise Twilight nodded her head moving to grab her hand despite the warmth of Adagio's hand. "Pervert." She teased out earning a shake of the head. "Very well, that sounds like the best course of action." Twilight relayed earning a quirked brow. "You make it sound like we're signing a contract." Adagio commented missing the flicker of glee that it aroused on Twilight's face. Twilight fought it down with a cough, "Considering the circumstance this should probably stay off the record." She mumbled and Adagio bit her lip finding that she hasn't laughed this much in a night since Aria accidentally dyed her hair red instead of black among other various memories of her sister's doing dumb things. The thought of her sisters brought a frown to her face and she sighed, this not going unnoticed by Twilight who was pulling her towards the blue building she had directed her to. Now they were standing over a staircase railing which lead up to the upper floor, there above which had the number '101' which was the apartment she knew she needed to hurry into soon. An awkwardness settled between them then as a pregnant pause shifted the tension in the air. Glancing up from their joined hands Adagio moved closer to the inviting Princess who's wings were practically waiting for a hug. Doing just so she wrapped her arms around Twilight and she pressed her body into the other woman's. "Never and I mean never tell a soul about this." Adagio said in a weak threat the thought of someone knowing she enjoyed affection making her feel sick on the inside. "It will stay between us." She heard the dark haired woman promise and she relaxed only slightly comforted from the belief that perhaps Twilight could keep things to herself. It was what a good friend would do, she figured but the word 'friend' did not sit right with her on any sense. Then again defining what they were would be confirming it and that would lead to it meaning something 'more'. Fighting away such alarming thoughts Adagio settled for the belief that she wasn't falling in love with Twilight because it had only been a day and that would be outlandish. Sirens didn't really love, they just mimicked it to feed. Just like that, all I am doing is using you, Adagio repeated inside of her mind. The affectionate look in Twilight's amethyst eyes did nothing to her as she let go of the hug and with that firm thought settled into her mind she started on her path to her warm bed she knew was waiting for her. "C-Can I see you tomorrow?" She heard a small voice ask and she twirled around on the staircase to look at the shivering princess. Feeling bad for the pitiful sight Adagio smiled at her, "No, but how does Friday sound?" She questioned hope rising inside of her that this could work. Doubts be damned they were probably going to see one another anyway. Seeing a quick nod she paused with a thought, "I know this is risky but I need your number." Adagio said pulling up her phone the light up showing her that it was not yet dead but that it was nearing it. Ignoring the random emails and frantic messages from Aria and Sonata, she looked down when Twilight reached to grab her phone from her. Typing in her number quickly she gave it back to her a smirk developing that sent chills down Adagio's spine. "That's a nice picture of Countess Coloratura you got there." She remarked the tease creating a red of embarrassment to boil onto Adagio's face. Tucking her phone back into her coat pocket she crossed her arms. "The time for teasing is when I have you begging for me. So go back to your little friends Princess." Boldly Adagio turned away from Twilight with a cocky smirk on her face and she tried not to miss her when she saw a flash of pink in the corner of her eyes. Chapter VII: Seductive SuspectSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Chapter I: Big MistakeAdagio Dazzle was lying across a dark violet bed with guilt gnawing at her breast. She holds the white satin sheets tightly to herself as she looks around the room. It's foreign to her and as she shifts in the bed she looks next to her and the shame and confusion begins to burn at the pit of her stomach. I... I we didn't, did we? I couldn’t have. Not with her! She thought with a groan, her magenta eyes widening as they roamed over the woman's body next to her. Twilight Sparkle, specifically Princess Twilight Sparkle is the other woman on the bed, her soft back exposed to Adagio and the tanned, relatively un-freckled woman tries everything in her power to not wake Twilight up. She couldn’t believe it. Why was she here in bed with Twilight Sparkle? Hell if she knew. She hadn't been intoxicated even, because hard cider usually never got her drunk. A girl such as herself knew how to watch her alcohol intake but then again maybe she drank more than she thought. She couldn’t dispute the evidence in front of her. They had a drunken night together last night. Kissed and well… the shame she was feeling now was not entirely for the right reasons. Adagio had given into an impulse and she had slept with the enemy. So foolish. Adagio growled in her head. The wavy, blond headed woman’s eyes moved away from the younger woman's back to the gleaming gold band on Twilight's ring finger. What do I do? She wondered, resisting the urge to feel the other’s soft, long strands of violet and pink-streaked hair. The beautiful, purple haired woman lying there wouldn’t just evaporate into thin air and so the issue remained. Adagio wouldn't be able to avoid the experiences sure to follow this morning. She couldn’t leave because if she left then she was sure Twilight would wake up horrified, or worse she’d remember what happened leaving her without a clue. Adagio did not like being in the dark about anything. In the end besides her bedgrudement she couldn't leave Twilight like this. Hungover and alone. She couldn't despite the horror she's to witness in Twilight's eyes when she sees her next to her. It would hurt. She would hate to admit it but it would hurt because she's the other woman here, and Twilight would never do something like this sober. She knew how respectable a person Twilight was. The singer really wishes she could remember how this happened. It would help to know how they got here, wherever here was. Where are we?, Adagio wondered. After a moment of staring around at the pristine room vacantly she realized Twilight would wake up no matter what she did. She let out a nervous breath when Twilight began to shift in the bed. "I'm royally fucked in more ways than one." Adagio whispered to herself moving to sit on the bed that was clearly a hotel bed. The room was too clean and standardized to be a personal room even with its lavish decor. More than likely the well decorated old styled room had been made for the more elite kind of customer. The blonde woman chuckled internally debating on whether she should exploit this and blackmail Twilight for money. No, I said I wouldn't whore myself for anybody. She grumbled in her head pointedly not one to take handouts especially from the woman who got her in her horrible living situation in the first place. She scowled over at the woman who has haunted her thoughts more these past few years than she likes. Adagio sighed noticing that the other was murmuring in her sleep. Dead asleep at that as she nearly leaped into the corner when the Princess shifted her head in her direction. She tried not to notice her nose crinkling adorably as she mumbled to herself. At least she snores, definitely not endearing or charming in the least. Adagio huffed crossing her arms over her chest frustration building since her mind has yet to conjure up any of last night's events. Perhaps she would have to ask the source itself what happened. With dread Adagio affirmed that she would have to wake Twilight up or she'd be waiting another millennia. The blonde used to have better patience in her time she swore as she slapped the bed hoping the noise would do the trick. That however resulted in Twilight rolling over onto her side still within her own dreamy sheep land. Clearing her throat Adagio decided to shake Twilight's shoulder and she called out to her, “Twilight hey, uh wake up.” Twilight grumbled out a few words before she turned on her side away from the hand that was poking her. The older woman's heart dropped when she heard a few of Twilight's words in response to her prodding. “Honey no...stop…” Twilight grumbled sleepily into her pillow, her eyes still closed. She sighed, the term of endearment making her heart plummet even further. Is she married? She wondered looking down for a moment becoming sick to her stomach. That would make this much harder than it already was. “Twilight Sparkle!” Adagio tried again swallowing thickly when Twilight finally stirred awake. Reluctantly she waited as Twilight sat up rubbing at her eyes blarily. She groaned before looking down to realize her chest was exposed and as much as Adagio enjoyed the sight it wasn’t something she should be enjoying. Twilight slowly grabbed up the blanket before turning to look over at messy, blonde hair and glittering pink eyes. She blinked for a long moment when she realized who it was there in front of her. “A-Adagio...?” Twilight mumbled out her voice raspy but terrified and shocked. She quickly looked the other up and down noticing her own lack of clothing and similar pose. “W-What...are you doing here?” Twilight’s words were a series of high pitched yelps and Adagio could barely understand her. “You and I got drunk apparently and we...ended up in this room together...do you remember?” She rasped, surprised at the level of calmness the princess was displaying despite the redness overtaking her face. On the inside of her own chest she felt like there was a hurricane whirling around. Twilight's lovely amethyst eyes widened once she had made it clear what had happened. Hearing it aloud made it all the more real. She remained on the bed however gaping at her and trying not to look down, else her eyes would be on the folds of the blanket which were laid over Adagio's body. The older woman couldn't help but chuckle despairingly and she moved to close Twilight's mouth. Twilight at least let her touch her and Twilight chose to ignore the chill that ran through her spine when she felt warm slender fingers under her chin. "N-No…" Twilight whispered blinking and groaning because of the hangover she was experiencing. Adagio decided to look anywhere but at Twilight afterwards. The silence was building and tension increased in an uncomfortable way the longer it went on between them. “What do we do?” Twilight finally asked, running her hands through her own hair nervously. “Oh! How could this happen!?” She asked again as if the other knew what the thing to do was. She had a distinct idea however. Even if it made her heart throb a little painfully but ultimately it was the only way to go about this. Scandal, well this wouldn't be Adagio's first experience with it. The woman glancing away sighing softly moving to stop Twilight's fidgeting and panicking. “Easy there Princess you're hungover, you need to look at me.” She said her tone gentle yet as firm as it could be when she was being serious. Twilight fidgeting more before stopping when she felt Adagio’s hands grab her own. They were like swimming in an ocean how deep they seemed to go as Twilight looked into her eyes. Adagio has surprisingly never really dealt with the fallout of a bad deed, but she tried her best to stop Twilight from flipping her lid. Despite her deep dislike for Twilight, she was still the Princess of their country and if she really wanted too she could deport Adagio, not that Twilight would. Adagio sighed watching as some of Twilight’s twitching lessened. It was annoying how pretty the princess still looked despite the anxiety session she had just witnessed. Twilight looked up at her with this sort of hope that made Adagio shift uncomfortably. What is with that kicked puppy look? Adagio thought with an inner eye roll. It really wasn’t her fault that Twilight couldn’t keep it in her pants. If anything, she had always thought Twilight wouldn’t even be able to seduce a horny teenager much less a woman such as herself. Great, I’m distracting myself now...get it together. Adagio muttered in her head licking her lips because of how dry they were all of the sudden. “Twilight...I've never…” Adagio trailed off biting her lip in frustration. She wasn't a woman of few words and definitely not one without command of herself. She had to say it. “We have to keep this between us.” She whispered running circles on Twilight's hand without thinking. “We cannot risk it. Our reputation or your marriage because of tonight.” She was sincere in what she said even if keeping such a thing as a secret left a bad taste in her mouth. Adagio would always be proud and that applied to her sexual exploits. But this sort of thing would leave bad blood with everyone. Her sisters would lose it and she couldn’t even imagine what Twilight’s friends and family would say. Besides, it probably wasn't even a good lay. Adagio somehow doubted this lie, a chill running down her spine when Twilight's eyes caught hers. What was that? She questioned in complete confusion to her body. The woman in front of her wasn’t skilled with lying and she was aware of it. Yet hopefully Twilight would be able to see their lives were too crucial for them both to jeopardize. “But…” Twilight murmured looking away from her eyes because of the intensity in them. “Our friends...your sisters will know. Surely they would-” “Feel betrayed!” Adagio called out suddenly letting go of her hands not even realizing she had been holding them for as long as she had. She closed her eyes, her long eyelashes fluttering as she continued. “I know you were a virgin Twilight and they might think I did it on pur-...” She felt a warmth cover her cheeks but she fought a blush with her shame. Twilight did as well but she didn't fight away the obvious redness on her face. Twilight sighed as she read Adagio’s expression. She appeared calm but the princess could tell how worried and deeply ashamed she was. “You need to know something.” Twilight whispered out her eyebrows downward and wrinkled. Adagio’s lowered gaze moved back up as Twilight spoke. “You cannot blame yourself for this.” She said in a quiet voice a little less shaken and Adagio appeared confused. She was prepared to argue when Twilight hugged her which froze her in place, shock spreading across her features. “This happened to both of us and as unintended as it was. It happened and I feel we must own up to it.” But this confidence in the terrified woman diminished quickly. “But-but that is ridiculous Princess!” She pleaded out gripping Twilight's arms as panic swirled within her. The fear inside of her was overwhelming. What if the Empire decided to kill her for her crimes? Of course, perhaps she was being Sonata level dramatic just then. “What possible good would it do to tell anyone?” She continued and Twilight merely shook her head moving a messy strand of hair from Adagio's pale face. Twilight couldn’t help but notice how different she looked with her blonde strands let loose from its ponytail imprisonment. She’s always had a feminine charm but having her hair down brought out a more unkempt appearance, shaking away the distracting thoughts Twilight tried her reasoning again, “I'm as afraid as you are. I mean it's my friends trust and his trust I may be losing, but I do not believe you did this as some ploy to overthrow Equestria” And the siren could only shake her head up and down vementently. Not in a million years, Adagio thought ignoring the pleasantness of feeling Twilight's fingers brush against her face when she so casually moved her hair for her. Everything about Twilight should be annoying her right now, but for the time being Adagio felt settled for brief irritation. Why did this woman have to make her feel so weird? “Ever since the necklaces were destroyed I have been void of magic, and besides... sleeping with you was never on the agenda.” She was stern and direct as she spoke, but she stopped feeling miserable for the first time since they had woken up when Twilight cracked a smile that was not as aggravating as usual. Adagio mirrored her expression even when the blanket slipped from her chest. “Oh.” She remarked having never felt ashamed of her body. After all, as sirens they used to be practically naked all the time. The princess giggled out and Adagio's giggles followed and despite the absurd heaviness of the subject they felt lighter when they heard one another laugh. Twilight couldn't really understand why it was that she was feeling comfortable at this moment. If it weren't for the fact that Adagio was no longer dangerous, she'd probably be hiding under the bed by now full of shame and guilt. Once they realized they were very nude again they decided to get dressed looking away as they took turns dressing. They hadn't left the room yet hoping the tension would leave them. They still have yet to decide on what to do or how they should go about this. Taking turns again they each went to the restroom and during her turn Twilight moved from the sink washing her face before she looked up into the mirror. It must have been a trick of light but she could have sworn she was glowing. Twilight's brows raised remembering hearing the rumors about sex in school. She was sure this didn't apply. She didn't remember much about last night but the feeling of Adagio's lips did linger a bit. Twilight's thoughts nearly went there as she touched her neck grimacing when she realized there was a hickey. “She... eep!…” Is a biter, she grumbled out wanting to be annoyed at her but knowing she couldn't blame her for it. She'd feel guilty if she was mad at her for it since she had let her do it to her. Well Twilight wasn't exactly sober either in her defense but regardless. Shifting around Twilight found the makeup she needed, glad Rarity's bag was in there after Rarity had freshened up the night before, since apparently her princess suite was ‘much better’. Applying it to her neck she nearly screamed when the door opened. “Sorry I left my-” Adagio paused locking eyes with Twilight's neck seeing what it was that Twilight was covering up. “Oh, nevermind!” She yelped out shutting the door quickly so as to avoid a conversation about it. Her face burned red in embarrassment and she gulped to herself realizing that Twilight must feel mortified. Said woman closed her mouth biting her lip saying nothing as she continued to cover up her bruises. Flashes of the prior night entered her mind and Twilight sullenly looked at her reflection. That certainly wasn't how she wanted to lose her virginity. Even though it was an event they were not cognisant of, Twilight knew that the main reason she was guilty was because she was regretful because of her engagement more so than any personal dissatisfaction. Did that mean she had enjoyed having sex with Adagio? Twilight snorted at the thought, shaking it away she pushed it to the back of her mind tucking it under the 'do not go there’ section. However, she couldn't help but wonder how it is that of all people Adagio was the one it happened with. It could have been worse in retrospect, what if it had been with a sleazy stranger? A once evil villainess who almost destroyed the world is a little above a creepy stranger she supposed. Now Twilight really wanted to stop thinking about such topics and so instead she focused on the buttons on her black shirt. Once she finished buttoning it she pulled on dark pants and she struggled realizing she had worn a tie that night, not in the mood for a dress. As that thought continued she stopped searching when she heard a knock at the bathroom door. “Yes?” Twilight called out gently knowing it was the tall blonde on the other side. She heard a shuffle and looked down watching the shadows under the door before she saw something slip under it. “I could have handed it to you but I thought that would do.” She heard Adagio’s voice purr from the other side and she chuckled at the slight humor in her tone. The princess reached for it and she secured it around her neck licking her lips. This whole time she was dealing with a hell of a hangover too. “Hey Adagio?” She questioned touching her forehead in hopes of pushing away the pain somehow. When she heard the hum of a response from her confirming she was still in her room, she continued speaking, “Could you see if there is any aspirin in my drawer?” She felt a little embarrassed since it was her third hangover ever, but there was no way she could go on feeling like she did. She heard an affirmative from Adagio and the next thing she heard was the distinct sound of her opening and searching through a drawer. At the sudden silence in the bathroom surrounding her she tensed before relaxing after a few minutes. She hoped that their friends hadn't noticed anything that had happened last night, at least until they sorted out the situation. She really wouldn't like to deal with a bombardment of questions or accusations. Lucky for them only Starlight's room is on the same floor and right across the hall from Twilight's which meant none of the girls would have spotted them. She knew Starlight would not have used her room anyways most likely rooming with her girlfriend Trixie. Opening the bathroom door after staring at her own reflection with apprehension she moved to a chair opposite the bed that was angled slightly towards the large television against the wall. Suddenly within her line of sight was purple pants with a golden chain and as she dragged her eyes up Adagio’s long legs she saw a lavender shirt with purple geometric shapes on it which Twilight found herself appreciating. With a slight smile she took the medicine bottle Adagio was holding realizing that Adagio had put her golden hair back up into its signature ponytail. With a disinterested look in her eyes Adagio glanced away crossing her arms which showed off the spikes that were attached to her purple leather jacket. Twilight could not help but compare her wardrobe to her friend Sunset who adored leather jackets and wore them religiously. “So, what now Sparkle?” Adagio asked looking bored now as she once again looked around the room they were in. It was clearly expensive and fit for Twilight’s stature, and unsurprisingly it reminded Adagio of places she had spent time in the past. Perhaps that was the deja vu she had felt when she had first looked around. Suddenly a chuckle grew in Adagio’s throat that stopped Twilight from her train of thought. “What’s funny?” Twilight questioned still wincing since her headache had decided to hit her full force. “Oh...nothing really just that…” Adagio held the back of her hand to her plush pink lips in an attempt to rein in her amusement. “A long, long time ago, my sisters and I used to live lavishly in places like this, but of course at those times it was castles we were interested in taking.” This caused Twilight to raise a curious brow, “Oh hush you, let a girl reminisce her fond memories.” “You’re not making me feel better about any of this.” The princess commented managing a giggle when she looked at her. Pleasantly, though oddly surprised Adagio clicked her tongue. “If I wanted to take over your kingdom I would have already done so.” She said with a smirk stepping closer since she knew that it worked to make other people uncomfortable when she poked into their personal bubble. Despite finding herself joking with Twilight she found herself stepping back when Twilight stood from her chair easily towering at least two inches over Adagio. Something she had somehow forgotten to account for. Irritating magical ascensions, Adagio grouched crossing her arms again as Twilight wore a timid smile on her face. Whatever she was about to say to Adagio however was lost to the void when she heard a series of knocks at her door. “Twilight!” Semi-whispered Pinkie Pie outside of her door. Panic reached the faces of both Adagio and Twilight who had not considered that her friends would be looking for her in the morning. Violet eyes pleaded with magenta for her to do something. Knowing she wasn’t about to climb out a window since they were at least 12 floors up, Adagio rushed to the bathroom of the hotel room glad at least the room was carpeted so her boots would not be too loud. Twilight winced as the knocking continued happy at least that Adagio did not want to be found out just as much as herself right now. Yes she did know she would have to be honest, but a part of her was frightened by the possibilities that lay from this mistake they made. Walking to the door Twilight opened it to reveal a woman wearing a blue top that slightly displayed her toned stomach and pink shorts that reached her mid thigh. Twilight stirred out of her daze at hearing her friend's voice saying something to her and she moved to let her friends in appreciating that Rarity had probably told their friends to be quiet. Though from the looks of it Starlight Glimmer, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash had their own hangovers as well. Only Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy seemed unaffected. Twilight's stomach stirred uncomfortably when she looked at them, but she fought it down attributing the feeling to the drinks she tried because of Rainbow Dash. She'd think not to take Dash’s advice again. “Hey girls, how are you feeling?” She said softly offering her trademark smile towards the girls she loved the most. Fluttershy spoke up, first moving to sit on the bed beside the princess, “We're doing just fine, thank you.” In her hands was a glass of water which she moved to give to her. “Thank you Fluttershy.” She said gratefully feeling her other hand brush Applejack’s when she sat on the other side of her. “Here.” Twilight offered levitating her bottle of aspirin to her hungover friends. “I had some for them, those three came to me for the same relief.” Rarity chuckled out playfully pointing to Starlight who shrugged and their rainbow haired friend who groaned in response. “I think I'm going to get some breakfast. What would y’all like?“ Applejack said ignoring Rarity's playful jab. Focusing on her blonde headed friend Twilight took in her attire noticing that A.j. was wearing the same red collared shirt, blue jeans, cowgirl boots, and brown leather jacket she had worn last night at the club. She decided to not point out that Rainbow, and Starlight were wearing what they wore yesterday too. Rarity actually hasn't said a word about it either, even if she was dressed in a new white top and light blue jeans. “It's fine Applejack I can order it since this was all for-” Twilight stopped at that covering up her pause by taking a drink of her water. She didn't know why she had stopped herself from saying engagement but she did notice the look Rarity was giving her. “Twilight we couldn't possibly make you pay for us.” Rarity said the ever generous spirit which meant she nearly never took handouts. It was sweet of Rarity, Twilight thought but it also meant there would be a showdown of niceties before there would be someone paying for Rarity. “I mean she could.” Rainbow said shrinking away when the girls had given her a dirty look. “But of course we wouldn't let Twi do that!” She said in return, earlier she found about five dollars in her pocket. She hoped there was a dollar menu at this fancy hotel or she was not getting much. Somehow knowing of Rainbow's disappointment Pinkie bounced onto Twilight's bed nearly rocking Twilight into Fluttershy from the force. “How about we go to a restaurant together! Twily, Sunset, and Rare-bear probably know a place that's really good!” Pinkie said the excitement of her voice only lowered as she kept her voice to a loud whisper. Twilight found herself thankful for Pinkie's restraint which was rare but possible. “Well there is this ice cream place I used to go too and they serve really good food.” Twilight mentioned brightening up at the prospect of food. Truthfully she knew that the hotel's meals were overpriced and the idea of going to an old favorite place of hers sounded like a good time. “Oh, you mean old Scooper’s place?” Sunset asked Twilight surprising her with her familiarity of it. She sometimes forgot that Sunset used to live in Canterlot when she was younger too. “Sounds mighty good to me.” Applejack said receiving a chorus of agreement from the other women. “Yeah, I could eat.” Starlight commented, holding an ice pack to her head. Something Twilight would need to ask about later. “Then that's settled! Now how about we all get freshened up and we'll join together in the lobby.” Rarity said in a pleasant tone that left no room for disagreement. “What, you're not ready?” Rainbow asked in disbelief looking over Rarity's new outfit. Receiving a shake of the head she raised a brow. “A lady is ready when she is ready, darling.” Twilight heard Rarity reply as her friends all exited her room. She remained where she was nearly jumping when Rarity suddenly returned. “Hmm?” The royal one of the two hummed raising a brow with an inquisitive expression on her face. Rarity said nothing in response at first and Twilight watched her from the corner of her eye as the fashionista circled around her. Humming she heard Rarity sigh before she seated herself next to Twilight, crossing her legs where she was at the end of the bed. “Is there something you need Rarity?” Twilight asked starting to fidget in nervousness, she fought it down however knowing her friend’s were well aware of her nervous tics and mannerisms by now. For example, Applejack often did this thing with her hat where she would touch or shift it as if to reassure and situate herself. Twilight had also noticed that Sunset would often shrink into herself when she was feeling uneasy about something. There was even this interesting movement where she would try to hide her face when she felt vulnerable. Shaking her head realizing she was getting lost in her thoughts, she eyed her friend who’s sapphire blue eyes seemed to be scrutinizing her. “Sorry, I was trying to figure something out.” Rarity said with a perfectly delicate and innocent smile. The smile nonetheless did not comfort Twilight because she was starting to sweat. “W-What exactly do you mean?” Twilight chuckled out locking gazes with her magical element counterpart. Why was Rarity acting so odd all of the sudden, was she on to what happened? Or did she see them together last night? Twilight felt a brewing panic set in but to her relief Rarity stopped looking at her to instead lift up a tasteful violet scarf from her own neck. “Ah ha!” She squealed out, moving to wrap it around Twilight’s neck. In one swift motion with her light, blue magic that was created by her pale, fingertips she had it all around her neck. “Oh! How marvelous, that looks much better Twilight!” The designer exclaimed her eyes alight with delight and satisfaction. Twilight’s chest fell with relief and she nodded her head quickly looking to the mirror to see how the scarf looked. It certainly meshed well with her colors, but was there ever any doubt that Rarity would make sure they all looked good? Smiling to her friend she removed her tie from her shirt pausing when Rarity suddenly gasped aloud. “I have to make certain Rainbow and Pinkie change! Those two would wear the same dreadful clothes everyday if it weren’t for me.” Rarity stood after her declaration and Twilight’s mind couldn’t help but notice that she hadn’t mentioned her own attire. Not wishing to jink anything however Twilight encouraged her. “Well, we are very lucky to have you Rarity.” She complimented sincerely. It was true that they wouldn’t look so fashionable without her but that they also wouldn’t have as good a time either. Nothing is a great time without all her friends. Maybe a few things are...Having her mind think back to the distinct sound of Adagio’s ragged breathing she held in a squeak not appreciating the inopportune moment for such a thought to occur. Rarity giggled, “Aw, that's so sweet! And true!” “I’ll see you in the lobby!” Rarity sing-songed as she exited with a wave. Twilight smiled at her friend’s departure glad for the brief distraction. A door opened after a few moments of complete silence which caused Twilight to jump like a cat. She heard a velvety laugh in response and she turned to look at Adagio who’s lips shifted into a frown instead of a smile. “I should be going.” She commented, Adagio’s body language telling Twilight that she was feeling uncertain and out of place. Not receiving a reply since Twilight knew anything she could add to her statement would only make it much more awkward. With a slight wave Adagio made her way towards Twilight’s door, her steps a bit more aggressive than Twilight expected. “Uhm, wait Adagio…” Twilight said not expecting the words to fall from her mouth. Pausing Adagio did as such turning to glance over at her one night stand. “Yes?” She offered up her hand still raised towards the doorknob before her arm fell limply to her side. “Thank you.” Twilight said, red creeping up her face and ears. “For what?” Adagio said incredulously. If anything she was certain Twilight should be sending her to hell for ruining her life. “For not using this against me, even though I am the last person you wanted to see next to you this morning…” Twilight mumbled out, expelling a sigh afterwards. “You could have exposed that you were here to my friends and told them everything...exposed me for the cheater that I am.” And that was when it truly hit her. The gravity of what they had done. The anxiety raced back into her heart but Twilight fought it with a few breathing techniques. It would not do her any good to break down and be vulnerable in front of Adagio Dazzle twice in a row. Much like a predator stalking upon its prey Adagio moved back over to Twilight realizing too quickly how her actions must have been perceived by the princess. Knowing what she would have to do, Adagio suddenly straddled Twilight’s lap which created a new kind of blush to erupt onto Twilight’s face. “What are you-mmpf.” Anything Twilight was going to say was stopped by Adagio’s index finger. “Listen Princess, I know that you thought I was playing nice with you this morning, but I will let this be known. I do not hide or do anything unless it benefits my sisters and I. This was a horrible mistake and it suits me much better that you and your friends stay far, far away from me!” Adagio’s gaze was intense as she glared at Twilight unlike any of the behavior she had seen of Adagio since they had woken up. Gulping because of the drastic turn of events she soon realized the threat that was leveled in her eyes. “Stay out of my life Twilight and I will stay out of yours, it’s simple. So learn to keep a secret for me.” And that was when another conflicting feeling emerged when she felt Adagio’s warm breath tickle her left ear. All too soon the feeling left her when Adagio pushed herself off of Twilight, a bit of a grin on her face since the message had been received. She proceeded to stare at Twilight for a moment before she sighed internally turning to leave without another word. Not an issue Adagio, consider this my worst nightmare...Twilight thought trying to keep herself from sniffling. She knew she was just feeling extra stressed about the wedding coming up and that was all there was to it. Author's Note Thank you for reading! Chapter II: Fall of a Princess“Mmm, ahhh.” Pinkie moaned out as she ate her strawberry ice cream topped with fudge with vigor. “This is so good!” She gushed out getting the fudge on her cheek when the cone slipped a little too close to her face. “Geez, you make it sound like it’s as good as-” However whatever crude thing that Rainbow might have said was interrupted by Fluttershy who leaned into her with a bit of a glare in her teal eyes.
Chapter V: Under My SpellAuthor's Note I am going to provide a mature warning for this chapter as it is heavily suggestive.
We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.
Chapter I: Big MistakeAdagio Dazzle was lying across a dark violet bed with guilt gnawing at her breast.
