The next day, minutes before Cosmic's first birthday, Twilight was out getting gifts for her as she saw pinkie somehow floating to Canterlot to give Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Twilight Velvet, Night light, and Shining armor invitations for the birthday party. When she was at the store, she met the other 5 also getting gifts for Cosmic.

"Howdy, Twilight" said Applejack "I bet that you're here for the same reason we are."

"If that reason is getting things for the special party, then yeah" said Twilight "The pony that the party is for will surprise you."

"We all can't wait to see" said Rarity.

Twilight got the gifts and left after paying for them. When she got back to the castle, the party was already set up. They just had to get Cosmic swirl from her room. The guests began to arrive seconds later, they were excited for the party and to see Twilight's new daughter, though they didn't know it was her daughter yet.

"Welcome to the party, everypony" said Twilight "Tonight is a special night because I have something I wanted to tell you all."

Twilight took a deep breath before continuing "I'm a mother!!!"

The other ponies (besides Celestia) were surprised, in a good way.

"You're a mother?!" said Shining Armor. "Where's the baby?"

"She's over here." said Twilight, directing the group over to Cosmic. "Everypony, meet Cosmic swirl. My baticorn daughter. This kind of pony is even rarer than an alicorn. Not even Celestia has seen one of these before, and she's over 1,000 years old."

"That, uh, baticorn is unbelievable." said Applejack.

Everypony else agreed.

Once they were introduced to Cosmic, they had a good time at the party for 3 hours before leaving when it was time for Cosmic to go to bed. After the last pony left, Twilight put Cosmic to bed and went to bed herself with Spike. But there was someone watching them through the night, waiting for the right opportunity.
