White Veil

Spike put his notebook down and paused the movie around the halfway mark.

"Hey, you gettin' hungry?"

"I can eat."

The dragon pushed himself off the ground.

"I'll be back in a minute..."

"...Wait."

Carolyn reached for her lover's hand. He stopped in his tracks.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Why do you ask?"

"You looked kind of upset when I read your journal."

"No. I'm fine."

"I'm really proud of you. You know that, right?"

Spike's expression again became warm. He knelt down next to Carolyn.

"I'm proud of you, too. You're always getting better at your skating, your art, and your welding. Seeing you live for growth and improvement is what made me want to change."

"I've changed too. I used to feel like a punk who had no real goals or ambitions beyond my small town. You taught me I could be so much more than that, and I love you for it."

"I love you, too."

"Prove it."

"How?"

"Kiss me."

Spike crawled onto the bed. He held himself above Carolyn. She bit his lower lip to signal her true intentions. He broke the kiss long enough to remove his shirt.

"This is the first time we've done it in your bed."

"Gonna' have to pay Twilight and Flash back for all those awkward nights I was up late."

"Looks like your dick agrees with that sentiment. Jeez, do I really turn you on that much?"

"If you only knew."

"I ain't complainin'."

Carolyn's eyes filled with concern.

"Ya' know...I'm worried someday we won't be like this anymore."

"Yeah, right. The day that happens is the day I castrate myself."

"I'm gonna' hold you to that."

"This one's a Pinkie promise."

"How weird is it this is our third time fucking and I've barely met any of your friends?"

"Oh, you'll see 'em sooner or later. Pinkie in particular has a habit of popping up when you least expect her. For all we know, she's watching us right now."

"Let's not disappoint her, then."
