G.S Prologue.
Author note:
One: first time writing a fic in English, so sorry about the grammar
Two: pony related, I know there is almost no pony related stuff in this first chapter but I though it would be better to start in the human world before going to equestrian and all that
Three: this is the first time I’m using this type of narrative, so I was hoping you guys could help me by pointing out any kind of errors.
I hope this doesn’t turns out painful to read.

So it was Tuesday night, another easy job, low pay, free burritos.
All in all a good day, but not so good for the guy at the burritos stand, couldn’t help myself to laugh a little when I saw his head explode right in front of his lover.
I swear that she sounded like a dude when she saw the missing head …Ha ha ha…

The guy was trash, cheating on her wife with 25 years old blondes wasn’t exactly the kind of thing you should be doing if you have 3 kids to worry about.
Of course killing him wasn’t exactly the right thing to do either, but his wife said I could take all the burritos I wanted after I finished the job, but don’t get me wrong!
I am not a cold killer without any feelings that would take any target for the right amount of money!

You need to have a moral code and some rules… like that guy from that movie…
What was it again… you know- the guy who drives a car… well whatever, back on topic.
You have to take in consideration that the person you’re going to kill deserves it.
“I don’t care how much money is in the case number 2 or 3 and if there is a 4, I don’t think I want to see it either, I am not doing it.”
Also if the target in consideration deserves such fate, you have to take in consideration if anyone would care that such person is filled with bullets.
No matter how much of a scumbag you are, sometimes you just don’t kill a guy who loves his daughter and would join the mafia just to get her into a nice private school so he doesn’t have to worry about the friendly uncle following her every move from a van
“What’s wrong? Did we offend you in any way? Is it the mask too much?”
Driving a van right outside a private school, real smooth there uncle, nobody paid me to cut his arms and dick off, but I was feeling generous that day.
Of course the guy I just killed today deserved it, and most likely his family won’t be missing him, at least from what I heard when I talked to his son… wow… betrayed by your own blood, what a cliché.
“Actually I think the mask is the most charming thing I have ever seen in this line of business, but I am not doing this job”
Now here I am talking with a guy wearing a mask that resembles that spider guy the kids love to watch on television.
Which is weird, not for the mask, but the fact that not anybody should be able to enter my apartment without loosing 5 fingers while trying to unlock my doorknob?
“But… you see I’m having trouble with this… target”
The only reason this guy isn’t bleeding on the street right now is because if he managed to get into my apartment with two bodyguards and 3 cases full of cash, then he means serious business.
“What? Really? You are having trouble with the idea of killing him? Why?”
The target in question was a guy named Ryan Jackson, the guy has been on the news a lot lately, I hardly pay any attention to the news or the newspaper, but even I know this guy is some kind of preacher that gives hope to millions of people with a new found religion or something like that. So killing this man would be wrong under my book, a lot of people would commit suicide almost instantly.
Innocent people would.
“Burrito?”
I offered showing him my bag full of today’s pay, rejecting my offering
The man took off the mask to reveal an old cunt with long white hair and a look of anger in his eyes, not that I could blame him since I’ve been joking around ever since I found him sitting on my couch reading a black book that now lied on his lap, he was losing his patience with me, which was exactly the idea so he would leave my apartment without having to slice his bodyguards all over the new carpet…
…Almost brand new carpet…
“I assure you, there is plenty more—“
“Aaaanddd I assure you that I am not interested in your money or in killing this guy, burrito?” I offered once more
“Why are you making a big deal out of this? Do you know what this guy is doing? Do you know this guy is creating some kind of crazy cult that prays to a horse every hour? Do you know he is making people go nuts over a weird skull with a horn that could be fake? He thinks that this world it’s some kind of illusion! He…thinks there are other worlds! He thinks… he thinks…” the old man stopped his current screaming and then stared at me in the eyes and said in almost a crying whisper “He is the reason my son is now travelling to New York to join these… these… horse… prayers… lunatics!” the last part almost shouting.
“Huh… first time hearing about the horse”
Well who was I to judge what other people chooses to believe in, if someone one day comes into my apartment and tells me that a horse it’s going to solve all my problems…
I would have shot them in the leg then make them tell me how did he or she opened the door without getting his or hers hand chopped off
“… I just want my son back… my wife already gave up… and his little sister is worried sick and… and I just can’t take it anymore…”
Then he started sobbing, it was then that I realize I was dealing with an old man worried about his family, I also notice that this was in conflict with my rules and moral code, and then I finally noticed that the man hadn’t touched the burrito I offered him twice.
I knew in that moment that I would regret this turn of events; I knew this was probably god making a prank on me to pay for my sins… or for smacking that nun on the ass…
Nope.
Definitely the sins.
“… Sigh… I want the four cases including the one with sleeping gas and you have to tell me how did you opened my door”
The man looked at me with confusion over his face then said
“It was open, I though this was supposed to be your office”
I tend to do that
“It was...? of course it was! Here in Gray Sight and co we are always there for the public!”
I get up cursing a little while I walked over to my kitchen where I normally keep all my… stuff… and I was back in ten seconds fully equipped for the job that I was about to deliver
“As I said I want you to leave the four cases in here, and here take this one with you, it’s on the house” I handed him over a small white cell phone
“You can’t do shit with it, it can only receive one call then it will explode… actually the battery it’s just going to run out”
I needed to get some better equipment…
“You have no idea how thankful I am…”
“Yeah, right, Miami was it? “
“New York”
“I knew that”
Without saying another word I walked passing one of the bodyguards who gave me a nervous look and I wonderer if I had a shower this morning, then outside my apartment, down the stairs hidden between some trash cans, there was a man laying down bleeding, with a better lock I noticed the blood was coming from where his hand should be.
“Ha! I knew I closed the door this morning!”

While I was on the airplane on the way to New York, I did some research on my current target, I never said I was going to kill him… well, I’m pretty sure that’s how its going to end, but I still had my moral code, and if I found out he was a caring father or that he donates money to the H.B.C.U then this job is good as over.

“Well he donated blood once… but I have done that too for the cookies!” the woman sitting next to me gave me a weird look seeing that I was practically shouting at my computer screen
“Ups, sorry, you see I have to murder this preach, but I won’t do it if I found out he is more worth alive to the world than death to my wallet!”
She got up and walked away, probably going to the bathroom… to never come back.
All the info I found about the preach is right after he started this weird cult, nothing about what school is he from, or what college did he attend to, or even where does he spends time alone where no one can hear him scream, then again, wikipedia wasn’t probably the best place to look for info to decide if a guy deserves to die or not.
“You know, there is no reason to kill one that you don’t see worth in killing”
That voice came from the sit that just a second ago was left empty by the woman, now occupied by a young man around his 20 with white hair and black pitch skin wearing the exact same clothes I was wearing but in the opposite colour, you could say this man was my clone except that he was the exact opposite of myself… and also because he was an illusion, an illusion that I found rather annoying since it’s always telling me what I already know
“Look I know the old man wants his son back, but think about it, maybe this guy Ryan it’s not a bad guy and maybe the only reason you need to not kill him is the fact that people is happy because of him”
I cleared my throat before opening my mouth and say
“We are here”
And with that he… it was gone, and what I said was truth, looking trough the window you could see New York City and thanks to my hallucinations I knew exactly what to do now.
