My Little Pony: The Spectre

Episode 5 - Powers

It a lovely day, everything was going good and calm. Rainbow Dash went to Ponyville to check if everything is ready on her wedding. Spike is with Thunderlane talking about future of their friend. But Zephyr... well he just woke up.

“SHIT!... Where the hell... Oh, I’m back... back in the past. Wait, what was it? A month? Oh sweet Celestia! I have to go to work!” - Zephyr indeed had to get to work. While he was flying to his job as mane therapist, his thoughts couldn’t leave him alone. What have changed? Who has changed? And how much? Oliver said that not so much but still, something have changed. Thankfully his work was just the same. Friends from work also looked like nothing was different. Even so were clients, Ocatvia, Lyra, Derpy, Bulk Biceps (I don’t even wanna know why), even Pinkie Pie was the same, and last client was of course Queen Chrysalis... Wait, What?

“You all probably know who am I. And you know what I want... Give me your love, or I will take it by force!” - Chrysalis warned ponies. She somehow managed to get enough courage to attack this place in the middle of the day.
“I’ve called the guards with my magic! You won’t get away with thARGHHH.” - Zephyr’s boss didn’t finished his brave speech as he was zapped by Chrysalis. Zephyr and other workers were watching as their boss was lying on the floor, he didn’t move at all.
“Ok then, you didn’t wanted to be nice, so I won’t be either. I will rip love from your dead corpses!” - Chrysalis looked at young mare, she walked towards her. Zephyr was scared that his friend from work could die, but he quickly remembered about his new abilities. He wasn’t teached how to use them but somehow he managed to blast a green ray from his hoof and push away Chrysalis, nopony noticed it was Zephyr, they were too scared.
“What was that? Oh, shit! Guards!” - Chrysalis scared flew away.
“Is everypony ok? Oh... Damn it we have a dead pony in here, call the backup! And somepony can tell me what happend here?” - Guard said.
“We’ve been attacked by Chrysalis!” - young mare said.
“Where is she?” - Guard seriously said.
“She flew away, somepony sent a green blast towards her and pushed away. But I don’t think it was somepony from here, there’s nopony else that was a unicorn besides our boss...” - she looked at hers boss body.
“That’s weird, I mean Chrysalis never killed anypony, but she said that she would kill us all.” - another co-worker of Zephyr said. And Zephyr Breeze again went to his thoughts. Chrysalis’ve changed because of the Crisis. That’s what Oliver meant by saying that Zepyhr needs to defend this universe. New threats are truly coming, but he can’t do it without help. Who could do that for him? Who could keep a secret but also help him understand this new powers? Zephyr knew just somepony... or should I say a dragon...

“You’re kidding, right?” - Spike crossed his arms in surprise.
“No. I’m not. I’m telling the truth. How am I supposed to... You know what? Brace yourself.” - Zephyr said.
“For wha... Sweet Celestia!” - Spike was suprised. Zephyr vanished in a flash of light, and after Spike could see anything he saw Zephyr but in a green coat with hood on his head.
“Told ya. Anyway, I need your help with that.” - Zephyr said it with a weird tone in his voice.
“How? I’m just a dragon, not a fucking superhero!” - Spike still couldn’t belive what exacly happend to Zephyr.
“I don’t want Twilight to know cause she might tell everypony what happend, and besides you’re like the smartest guy I know and you will keep secret...” - Zephyr said it seriously.
“But, I still don’t know how to help you...” - Spike looked at his friend.
“You can help to understand this powers. You can help by teaching me how to be a hero that Equestria soon will need... and besides, you can help me hide my secret identity.” - Zephyr smiled.
“Well, ok. What’s your name?” - Spike asked.
“What do you mean?” - Zephyr looked at his friend with confusion.
“Your superhero name. Every hero to hide his alter-ego uses a fake superhero name. What’s yours?” - Spike asked.
“I’m The Spectre.” - Zephyr said.
“That’s two things down. Name and suit. Now, we only need one thing...” - Spike smiled.
“What?” - Zephyr asked.
“A lair. A place where you can hide from the bad guys and a place where you can teach yourself how to use these powers.” - Spike said a little bit happy, it was a opportunity to finaly be at least a sidekick of a superhero.
“That’s a good idea. Do you have something in mind?” - Zephyr asked.
“That depend... How much money do you have?” - Spike asked.
“A lot. Being a mane therapist is hard work but really profitable.” - Zephyr said.
“Good thing! There’s a closed bowling club in Ponyville. Walls are pretty much strong and also they’re muted, so nobody would ever know what is going on in there.” - Spike said happy.
“Ok, let’s check this place.” - Zephyr said and quickly with his powers removed his suit. They both went to this bowling club. It looked very nice as for closed place. And even manager room looked nice and was big. After Zephyr bought this place and made sure that there’s no other keys for it, he and Spike started to learn how Zephyr’s powers worked.

“These wall are truly strong...” - Zephyr said.
“Yeah, but I think we wanted to see how strong are bowling balls. So try to hit the next one, ok?” - Spike said sarcastically.
“It’s super hard! I don’t know how I’ve managed to hit her without any training!” - Zephyr yelled.
“Try to imagine that bowling ball is trying to hurt somepony! I know it sonuds stupid but imagine that this ball is going to hit somepony!” - Zephyr noded. And when Spike thrown this ball, Zephyr focused and hitted it.
“YES! I did it!” - Zephyr screamed happy.
“After thirteen time but yes you did it. Any other powers you think you have?” - Spike asked.
“Oliver could teleport himself so... move I don’t know if it works.” - Spike moved, and Zephyr stared to think about teleporting himself and... it worked? He was learing too fast but he didn’t cared.
“Wow did you see that? I thought I want to be behind you and I just teleported myself!” - Zephyr again screamed happy.
“That’s amazing! You know what I’m thinking? If you’re a pegasus, I think you might be also super fast!” - Spike said.
“No, I don’t think so. It would be too much luck for one day.” - Zephyr said.
“At least try it. What could happend wrong?” - Spike said. And Zephyr agreed they went to place where there is nopony.
“If it works. You would have to run away cause I might do a Sonic Rainboom.” - Spike noded and Zephyr spread his wings to start flying. But when he swinged once he’ve made a Sonic Rainboom, just like that without any effort.
“Hey Spike guess what? My another super power is talking to you in your head it’s like telepathy or something. It’s the best day of my entire life!”
