Round 10: British Grand Prix

Duel 1: DNG (Scuderia Ferrari) VS LUN (Alfa-Romeo)

The very first duel and DangerDean was facing Luna. Luna, despite still failing to qualify for races, was beginning to get better and better at driving. However, she had a problem. Silverstone was Dean's home track. He had grown up racing on this track ever since Equestria first opened their portals to Earth. Even worse was the fact that Dean had come off a brilliant win in Austria, his momentum seemed to be carried into Britain, as he was one of the fastest cars in Free Practise.

And the Duel was nothing but a massacre for Luna. Dean immediately took the at the start and never lost it. Luna tried, but the British Speedfreak couldn't be bested. Dean easily took the win and progressed into the final, to the admiration of the British crowd.

Duel 2: OSC (Aston-Martin Red Bull) VS APP (McLaren)

Duel 2 and Oscura was taking on Applejack. The dark unicorn was still bitter with Dean after her loss to him in Austria and was determined to crush him here and now. But what people were not expecting was seeing her RB15 wth a special livery. The Aston-Martin branding on the rear-wing and just ahead of the side pods had been replaced with the iconic 007 logo. And on the back part of the rear wing had a picture of a number plate that read 'PPW 306R' (which was the number plate of the "Wet Nellie" Lotus Esprit S1 seen in The Spy Who Loved Me). Due to the fact that the 2019 British Grand Prix was the 1007th Formula One event, Red Bull was given permission to run with 007 logos for the race. And it didn't stop at the cars. In true Red Bull fashion, the pit crew and drivers all had single-breast dinner suit designs on their fire suits.

However, the special livery didn't do Oscura any good as she was trumped by Applejack in the McLaren, much to the unicorn's chagrin.

Duel 3: RAR (Renault) VS SAN (ROKiT Williams)

The British Spirt didn't just stop with Dean and Applejack. In Duel 3, Rarity was taking on Sandbar. And as things turned out, the favourite to win was not Rarity. It was Sandbar. In fact, all of the British teams seemed to be the best. Aside from Dean, both of the McLaren and Williams cars were among the fastest in the mid-field (Racing Point is Canadian, it doesn't count).

That pace was carried into the Duels, where the Williams trimphed over the Renault and easily won the Duel.

Duel 4: SIL (BWT Racing Point) VS CHS (Aston-Martin Red Bull)

Duel 4, Silverstream in the Racing Point was up against the Red Bull of Cheese Sandwich. Unlike Oscura's Red Bull, Cheese had a different number plate on the wing. Cheese's number plate read 'TT-378-20' (the number plate of the DBS V12 used by Bond in Casino Royale). Also, he was much more into the festivities that Red Bull was known for. In fact throughout the whole weekend, he wouldn't answer anyone unless they referred to him as "00174".

Silverstream was still trying to achieve a meaningful result. But for some reason, she was out of luck heading into Britain. "00174" would hold off the Racing Point and win.

Duel 5: TWI (Mercedes-AMG Petronas) VS LTD (Scuderia Ferrari)

In Duel 5, Twilight Sparkle would be taking on Lightning Dust. For Twilight, this was her chance to prove what she was worth. It was even more special, as her Mercedes had the iconic white-and-neon-green livery used by Brawn GP, the team that became Mercedes one season after Brawn bought the $500 million Honda team for only 1 British Pound.

She needed to prove her worth to the team, to the public why she was chosen to race with the defending constructor champions. And at the British Grand Prix, the Princess of Friendship did impress. It helped that Lightning Dust had been struggling with her Ferrari all week. Twilight was an easy winner.

Duel 7: YON (ROKiT Williams) VS OCE (Red Bull Toro Rosso)

Duel 7. Yona was taking on about Ocellus. Ocellus was starting to improve her driving by massive amounts, Albon's tutoring helped massively. Behind the wheel of the STR14, she was owning the mid-field despite being shy. However, she would be up against Yona in her Williams and the yak was fast.

Despite how good Ocellus was behind the wheel of her Toro Rosso, Yona was better and it was the yak that took the win.

Duel 8: PIN (Aston-Martin Red Bull) VS GLA (HAAS)

Next up, Pinkie Pie was facing off with Gladmane. And just like her best friend, she was getting in on the James Bond fun. The number plate on the wing was the iconic 'BMT 216A' (British registration of the iconic DB5, first seen in the 1964 Bond film, Goldfinger). And she didn't answer anyone unless they referred to her as "00220".

"00220" would be joined by her fellow 00 driver, as she would beat the HAAS and win the Duel.

Duel 9: GAL (BWT Racing Point) VS CEL (Alfa-Romeo)

Two drivers that had met each other on the track before were going head-to-head in Duel 9, with Gallus taking on Celestia. They had met each other on the track, having fought over 5th place in Canada. Gallus won that battle and he was ready to show the world that he was no push-over on the open circuits.

But in his quest, he pushed over somepony else.

Heading into Copse, Gallus went wheel-to-wheel with Celestia in a attempt to dive past her. However, he plowed into the side of the Sun princess, flipping her into the grass. The Alfa-Romeo rolled several times over before coming to rest in a sandbox near a wall. Thankfully, she was alright.

But her crashed had given Gallus the victory. Although Gallus' victory came at a price, as he was given a 5-place grid penalty for causing a wreck bewteen himself and Car No.100. This meant that whatever his starting position was, he was to be dropped 5 places.

Duel 10: BMI (McLaren) VS RBD (Scuderia Ferrari)

Duel 10 and Big Mac would be taking on Rainbow Dash. The big farm stallion was confident that he would be able to join his sister in the final. And he was loving the setup his mentor had provided him. Also, he was very confident in his abilities as a driver.

It also helped that Rainbow was still suffering from the shell-shock after being humiliated by the Demon Lord. She wasn't feeling herself and began to drop of her pace. Throughout th whole weekend, she was the slowest Ferrari by some margin.

It was easy for Big Mac to blaze away and take the win.

Duel 11: SPI (Scuderia Ferrari) VS CHR (HAAS)

Duel 11 and Spitfire was taking on Chrysalis. The Wonderbolt Captain didn't want to end up like Crash and raced hard in her Ferrari. It also helped that her opponent was Chrysalis. The Changeling Queen was struggling to find the right setup for her VF-19.

It was almost too easy for Spitfire and she took the win.

Duel 12: SUR (Renault) VS FLT (Red Bull Toro Rosso)

The final Duel and Suri Polomare was taking on Fluttershy. And the shy pegasus was on the top of her game. After her third place finish at the Red Bull Ring, her confidence in her F1 driving ability got a massive boost. Now, she was placing consistent top results on the timing sheets, being on par with and even beating out both human Toro Rossos.

Her renewed confidence in herself was all she needed to knock Suri out of the running and take the final spot in the race.
