A Completely Normal Day in Ponyville
The sun glistening over the dew draped across the grass fields. Houses brightening up as their residents awoke, happy to experience another morning in Ponyville. Breakfast simmered, yawns aplenty. It was a completely normal day in Ponyville.
Taking a visit to Princess Twilight Sparkle's castle, we obtain a wondrous view of the monument. Crystal spires stretching into the heavens, never allowing something as pathetic as gravity to bring them down. The morning light created a beautiful refracting pattern across the building, stretching every which way in ways that no eye could look away from.
Within the inner depths of this palace, the Princess and her #1 assistant were busy looking through all sorts of fan letters. Letters declaring love, letters inviting her to various conferences (they may claim those were business letters, but we know the truth), letters saying that Spike should have stayed a dog (they weren't entirely clear on what those meant, possibly conspiracy theories), and everything in between.
The Princess' eyes darted back and forth, attempting to bring some order to the chaos of letters spilling over her table. There were at least dozens, if not hundreds. Especially the love letters. Those were plentiful... and not always foal friendly. Spike, meanwhile, was tearing through paper after paper, attempting to find the single one he'd burped up moments prior. It wasn't going very well.
Moving away from the castle, of which confused shouts over a "red and black OC" could be heard, we shuffle over to Town Hall and see what Mayor Mare's up to. As expected from a politician, she is incredibly hard working, honest, patient, and possesses immense integrity.
Off-duty, anyway.
The Mayor was currently trying very hard to avoid her job. Understandable, as she was receiving demands from various citizens about stupid and often strange topics: demands for lower taxes, of which she had no control; demands that Princess Twilight's castle be opened as a museum, which sounded stupid even to her secretary, and she'd seen a lot; and some completely random demand about "bringing FiM back", which she had no clue about.
Blessings to the Mayor. We can only hope she procrastinates as much as possible.

Onto the town plaza, a great many ponies were wandering about, many holding newspapers or coffee in front of their faces and somehow not toppling forward. A particular pair was seated on a bench that they practically owned.
Lyra Heartstrings and Bon Bon sat on the rotting bench, and were debating the artistic values of music versus candy. At least, that's how it started. Lyra was currently attempting to convince Bon Bon that Equestria was flat, of which Bon Bon obviously though was completely stupid. She'd tried to change Lyra's mind with rational arguments like the gravity, day/night cycle and such, but Lyra would not be swayed.
Little did Bon Bon know that Lyra would soon bring up the dreaded "H" word.

Visiting a cottage far on the outskirts of town, we find the Element of Kindness herself: Fluttershy. She was in the middle of looking over vaccination records for her animals, trying to see if any were due, or, more likely, overdue.
She then came across a record discussing a fairly obscure disease called "POVID-91". She'd never heard of it until now, but apparently it was entirely under control, was easy to prevent, and various cures and vaccines were under way.
She then put it aside, because obviously there was absolutely nothing wrong and no one would panic over such a simple illness. Fluttershy then noticed that for some reason, she had received a number of fliers about opposing vaccinations. Something about causing mental disabilities? She didn't pay much attention to it, because it didn't seem supported by any research, and proceeded with the actual reviews.

Moving back into the core of Ponyville, we take another long look across the town. Now in the middle of noon, citizens are bustling, being industrious, kind, and honest.
They were also arguing over the Elements of Harmony, and who would look best as a body pillow. Fairly normal discussion.
As we shift over to another part of town, we can see Sugarcube Cor-
No.
We won't be visiting that today.
Moving across the other side, we get a nice view of the Apple Family's property, Sweet Apple Acres.
Many a debate was had over whether the name was too on the snout, but it was eventually resolved. With words of course. Definitely not rakes.
Applejack was dispensing ciderTM to the ponies, oft having to break up a fight between whether one received a milliliter more than another. The ponies certainly seemed to love the Apple Family cider, though Applejack couldn't imagine anypony rejecting their drink. It was cheap and delicious! Ponyville specifically did seem to be especially addicted to it, though. Something to consider.
Big Macintosh was busy carrying supplies, tools, and other necessities to and from the barnhouse. It wasn't difficult for him, being built like a mountain, but he received praise everyday from his family for it. Seemed rather strange, considering hauling was about the lowest demanding labor on the farm.
There was also a weirdo outside talking about how he "looked really attractive genderbent." Big Mac wasn't clear what genderbent meant, but the sound of the word sent shivers down his spine, almost like it was some kind of curse. There was also a mention of "shipping" at one point; again Big Mac didn't know what that meant, and again the word gave him chills.
Oh well, work was to be done on a completely normal day in Ponyville.
Back to the outskirts, we visit a heartwarming yet baffling duo: Starlight Glimmer and Trixie Lulamoon.
Trixie was trying to learn the art of having common sense, by choosing whether she would go into town now and get her medical appointment over with, or delay it and have a vastly higher risk of catching a disease.
Her common sense was lacking.
Starlight, meanwhile, was just enjoying the day with Phyllis by her side. Many had called her a lunatic for attaching personality to a plant, but she knew better. Phyllis would enact revenge upon those disbelievers.
She had also received an anonymous letter calling her an "overpowered Mary Sue." Confused, she had tried reasoning with the sender, attempting to learn what exactly they meant and clearing up any resentful feelings.
You can imagine how that went.
That appears to be our tour of Ponyville d-
"Ah, hello mysterious viewer from another dimension? Isn't the spring morning just delightful?"
Ah. Forgot about Discord.
"Forget about me?! How rude! Truly terrible." Discord pulled out a popsicle, eating it stick first. "I stand out from the crowd, friend. I'm an impressive draconeques."
We were just going on a tour-
"A tour of Ponyville! Splendid! Did you visit my wonderful friend Fluttershy?"
Yes, we-
"Some individuals have claimed some rather inappropriate things about dear Fluttershy. I showed them the very interesting life cycle of a blade of grass. Front row seats."
That's all well and good, but-
"Oh, but would you like a visit to my home? The gravity is just perfect, it goes in three directions! I can also show you-"
In the distance, Canterlot erupted in fire, explosions, magic blasts, screams, and penguins.
"Oh my! I do believe Celestia just received my birthday gift!"
But it's not her birth-
"It's always time for a birthday, friend." Discord summoned a beach chair, lounging in it while gazing off into the horizon, quacking and shrieks of terror echoing in his ears.
"Yes, a perfectly normal day in Ponyville." Discord took another lick of his popsicle stick.
