"How long have we been floating?" Bon-Bon asked, checking her watch. How she got a watch was unusual. It was dark, and she was confused. "About five hours," Lyra replied. "I can read the stars, and watching them move reveals the time. Pretty neat, eh?" Bon-Bon shrugged. "Flying bow ties, lyres, ducks, strange machines, your ability to read the stars is about the least weird thing I've heard today." "I see a town!" Lyra exclaimed. As the Jolly Roger floated into position to dock, a wave of pure sound suddenly blasted over the settlement, knocking them over. "OH YEAH! GOOD MORNING RODANTHE!" 1 hour earlier (or thereabouts) Jimmy was a man of few concerns in his life. His time had led to him encountering some weird things indeed as he went about his days, and he refused to let a recent health scare let him down, despite the obvious danger to all peoples. To allay his fears, he decided to travel elsewhere for a night or something like that, and that was how he found himself in Rodanthe, North Carolina. Rodanthe was further down the Outer Banks than Manteo, in the direction of Cape Hatteras. A relatively pleasant drive down the coastline, The town was a small fishing place given over to tourism, meaning it was an effective ghost town until Spring. Although meteorological Spring had begun, it didn't officially start until later that week. So it was pretty quiet indeed. And (the Animals, I do apologize) there is a House in Rodanthe. They call it the Serendipity (doesn't scan, does it). A strange hodge-podge of different architectural styles and walls, it had been famously used in a very bad film about a decade earlier, and this was about the only reason foreigners know of this obscure North Carolina town. The film had, at least, one positive side effect. When the House had been flattened in a storm, it was at least well known enough to be moved and rebuilt rather than being demolished. It now lived as a Bed and Breakfast of sorts (they supplied the bed, you supplied the breakfast), and Jimmy had settled on staying here for the night (or three). He went inside, having got the key, and loaded up the fridge with critical supplies. Why he was doing this so early in the morning was a mystery, but he was doing it anyways. Once done, he suddenly heard a noise outside. He went and opened the door. Outside the door, on the mat, was the Toad- NO! WE ARE NOT DOING THAT AGAIN! Outside the door, on the mat, was what looked to be a pink arm warmer thing. Not familiar with this strange thing, Jimmy picked it up and proceed to, for no logical reason at all, place it onto his arm, apparently not realising that he had just committed a crime against fashion. He had applied it for the cold was getting in, but then realized why this was a mistake. "Hold on a moment," he said to himself. "Equestria Girls Friendship Power Rarity, Watermelody, Adagio Dazzle and Belle all started with a glove like object. Well, here we go again." He stopped, awaiting the inevitable. Blue light flashed upon him, and moments later the inevitable happened. His glasses morphed into a pair of shades with purple lenses, followed by his shirt not changing at all. However, a white sports jacket with blue lining and piping appeared on his upper torso, fully zipped up. He was wearing pants that day (or night, depending on the context), but they suddenly split into two garments. The first was a white pencil skirt with a symbol of two tied quavers, and the second was a pair of leggings that grew up his legs and under the skirt, but terminated partway down his thighs. These were purple with lighter pink lightning bolt patterns on them. His shoes were also soon morphed into a pair of blue trainers with white and purple trim. Stars appeared on the front plate. "Well, that's odd, as nothing else has happened," Jimmy commented, noting how strange it felt to be a crossdresser. He tried to remove the arm warmer. It didn't move. "This sucks!" Moments later, every door and window locked by itself. There was no way out. He was stuck in this cursed house like he was trapped in the middle of a horror film. Dejected, he wandered upstairs. "What saddens you so, Jimmy?" asked a very familiar voice. Jimmy threw the light switch. Standing there in the corner was a figure he knew very well. "Princess Luna! What are you doing here?" "I came to check on you, to see how you were doing," Luna replied, her skirts gently rustling as she stepped closer to him. "I see clearly that your curse is yet to let up, although I was admittedly to blame that one time." "It's okay, I'm used to it," Jimmy replied. "Given the sheer number of times I've ended up in ball gowns where I couldn't see my feet, this can be managed. Even if the skirt is a bit tight..." "Do you... enjoy it?" "Not always. Sometimes it's a pain in the butt. But other times it gives a new perspective on things, such as Vapor Trail." "Such a troubled lovebird," Luna nodded. "But at least she is happy with Sky now. Did you hear they have a baby on the way?" "I didn't," Jimmy replied. "It's been a while since I checked the journal-" Moments later, the clock went. 6:55 A.M. was here. The blue light switched on again, and a mass of blue and turquoise hair fell into Jimmy's eyes as his skin went white. "Oh shit!" he exclaimed, realising who he was. "I haven't got long!" His face warped into that of another person, followed by his eyes going purple. There was a loud bang as his shoulders narrowed, and he groaned as his chest suddenly started growing, changing into a pair of breasts. "What do you mean, you have not got long?" "This is Vinyl Scratch! She's officially mute! Luna, please know that I AARGH THAT HURTS!" His hips had just burst outwards, and his manhood got sucked in during the process. His (or rather her) legs slimmed down, and her feet shrank. Handily, they had got smaller (the clothing) too, so that avoided that problem. Moments later, all the doors and windows unlocked, and Jimmy stood there panting. "What the?" she asked, glancing down. "Hey, wait, I have a voice? Why do I sound like Jessie Nowack?" "Clearly fate had other plans in store for you," Luna smiled, and indicated to a boom box sat nearby, rigged up to a pair of turntables. Vinyl grinned, and dropped a record onto the turntable. She then proceeded to play it. Out of the window. At full blast. "OH YEAH! GOOD MORNING RODANTHE!" A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door. Vinyl went down to get it, followed by Luna trying to shuffle down the stairs in her dress. The door opened, and on the other side stood Lyra and Bon-Bon. "Vinyl!" Lyra exclaimed. "You're here!" "Where else would I be?" Vinyl said rhetorically. "What's up? Want some breakfast?" "Sure!" Bon-Bon exclaimed. Just behind them, a voice coughed, the person not shown though. As we all know, DJ PON-3/Vinyl Scratch is mute in both official MLP FIM/EG material. Part of maybe the reason why Hasbro went with that decision for her is because, if Nowacking voiced Vinyl in the show, he (yes, Nowacking is a guy btw.) would have to quit on doing fan production of voicing Vinyl in MLP Fan Material. For me in my opinion that's just bogus because, we all know that Fan VA's and Show Official VA's are completely different beings, and it wouldn't matter if Vinyl had a different VA in the show than the one we hear for her in the Fanbase with Nowacking. (Like it was shown for of a majority of fan favorite background ponies/humans with Lyra Heartstrings and Bon-Bon to name two examples thus far in my stories for this month.)
