It was 730 in the afternoon when Jason made it to his room, he had finally got his stuff put away and was about to lay down to watch a movie when there was a knock on his door. Sighing Jason stands from the bed walking to the door. Opening the door Jason finds barb standing there she was wearing a black t-shirt and short jean shorts.

"Hey barb what's going on?"

"Oh nothing much just came to say we have to be at sugarcube corner at 900."

"Oh um did they say why?"

" No they didn't."

"Ok then."

"What are you doing?" she asks looking past him.

" Nothing was about to watch a movie, wanna join?"

"Yea I would love too."

"Cool come on in."
The two walked into the room and went to Jason's bed to lay down and watch a movie on his laptop. grabbing his laptop and laying back on the bed Barb cuddles up to Jason and lays her head on his shoulder while he brings up his Vudu app and scrolls through the movies.

"So what shall it be comedy, action, horror, or romance?" Jason asks Glancing down to the dragoness.

"Lets go with a comedy."

"Good choice." scrolling through the comedy movies he comes to one he hadn't seen in a while clicking on it starting the movie.

"so what are we watching?" Barb asks getting more comfortable against Jason.

" Adam Sandler's Eight crazy nights."

"hmm I don't think that ones gotten over here yet sounds good."

"oh trust me its good this was a favorite of mine when I was a kid."

After the movie was finished Jason looked at the time, realizing that it was almost time to go he nudged barb to wake her up.

"MMm 5 more mins." Barb mumbles while rolling over.

"Sorry cant let you do that, we got to get up and get ready to go." Jason just watches as barb refuses to get up, remembering one of her spots that always got him a reaction, Jason brings his hand to her tail grasping it and giving it a tug. what he wasn't expecting was the different reaction she gave compared to what he used to get.

"ah mm" Before she could stop her self barb moaned out, when she realized what happened her face lit up a very dark shade of red.

"Well uh we should get going so we aren't late." Jason states with a noticeable blush.

"Y... yea lets do that."
With that said barb leaves the room to go get ready while Jason puts his laptop away he throws on a clean pair of jeans and a black t shirt and a grey zip up hoodie. After slipping his shoes on he heads to the main door to leave, as he enters the main room he finds barb standing at the door waiting for him.

"Hey ready to go?"

"Y yea im ready." The two then walk out of the castle the moon lighting their path and the coll crisp air of the night assaulting their bodies.

"Its starting to get cold out, falls about to start." Barb says as she leads jason down the steps and into the road.

"Yup from what I've heard it should be a fairly cold winter this year."

"Yea Rainbow was talking about how they are scheduled for an early blizzard this year, she wasn't to happy about having to work late to make sure everything went smoothly."

"I wouldn't be to happy about that either, but we all got a part to play and one person not doing their own can cause problems." Says jason as he looks around the small town.

"Tell me about it there was this one time that aj was over working her self to the point of exhaustion, and she had to help ponies around town but couldn't due to being so tired that everything just went wrong and Twilight had to intervene to get her to sleep and let us help her."

"That sounds like one hell of a day, how bad was it?" Jason ask looking at barb with interest.

"Ponies got sent to the hospital for food poisoning, there was a stampede of bunnies, rainbow got flung across town, and she over harvested some of her trees picking off leaves mistaking them for apples." Barb says counting off on her hand.

"Damn that bad?"

"Yup... oh here we are, sugarcube corner."
Jason looks from barb to the building they were currently in front of. The building looked like it was straight out of that one story about the kids and the witch, covered in different candy decorations and looked like it was made out of gingerbread.

"Uhh..."

"Trust me its all fake decorations."

"Do I want to know?"

"Um a few days after we got here I may or may not have taken a chunk out of the fake gumdrop." Barb says with a slight blush

"Thats hilarious." Jason says with a chuckle

"Hey! It wasn't that funny!" Barb says her blush growing more.

"I'll ask the rest of the girls if it wasn't that funny."

"Don't. You. Dare."

Jason just shakes his head and walks up to the door.

"Hey! We aren't done here."

"Yes we are." Jason says as he reaches for the door and pulls it open walking into the dark before the lights suddenly click on with multiple ponies yelling surprise making jasons hand reach for his five-seven until he feels a hand on his, and looks to the side spotting Twilight giving him a small smile.

"Its ok Jason no one is gonna hurt you here, just relax." With a nod Jason lets go of the weapon and relaxes.

"SO WERE YOU SURPRISED?!?" Asks a very happy pinkie pie.

"Yes pinkie I was very surprised." Jason says with a smile hiding the fact he almost shot someone.

"YES! Come on you got to meet everyone." Pinkie says leading him into the crowd.

"LETS PARTY!!" Pinkie exclaims while jason just chuckles at the pink party pony.

While the party goes into the night Jason meets with multiple different ponies from Aj's brother big Mac, Octavia and her friend Vinyl Scratch and a very enthusiastic pony named Lyra heart strings and her calmer counterpart bon bon. Jason couldn't put his finger on it but that bon bon and a certain air about her that felt familiar, but he wasn't sure about it and left it alone.

As the party goes along Jason was talking to one of the rose sisters until everything stopped and everyone started to bow. Not knowing what was going on Jason turns to the door spotting some one he wasn't expecting to see so soon. Cadence his and Twilights old babysitter.

Before she could look his way Jason ducks into the kitchen, he wasn't gonna lie he had a huge crush on her when she was a teen and she only got more beautiful as she got older. 'That alicorn aging really works'. Thought jason as he tries to regain his composure, after he calms down he starts to head back out when he hears cadence talking.

"Where is he? I would like to make sure for my self he is alright."

"Um well he was just here." Says twilight.

'Taley ho'

"Wheres who?" Asks jason as he exits the kitchen.

"JASON!" Yells Cadence as she wraps him in a bone crushing hug. Jason starts to tap cadences shoulder as he fights for breath.

"Oh! Sorry about that Jason." Cadence says letting him go and taking a step back.

"Its alright... damn that strength of yours thought I was gonna die from lack of oxygen for a sec there." He says with a small chuckle.

"Jason are you ok they didn't do to much to you did they?"

"Just some bruises and a few fractures nothing I cant handle."

"Jason I saw the state you were in that was not nothing you were on the brink of death and you still have bruising on your ribs." Says Twilight.

"WHAT... Celestia said it was bad but not that bad, let me see your chest!" Cadence demands getting closer to Jason.

"Really its not that bad you don't have to worry I've been through worse." Jason says trying to get Cadence to calm down, it wasn't working.

"Let.. me.. see.. it." With a sigh of defeat jason lifts his shirt up and over his head revealing his chest to the room, gaining gasps of shock from multiple mares that were standing near by watching the interaction.

"Jason these are really bad how and why are you walking around right now?" Cadence says placing a gentle hand on his chest.

"Time stops for no man got to just keep moving forward, and I hate just laying around all day." He says placing his shirt back on.

"That may be but you got to rest some times or you'll only just end up killing your self from over excursion or some fight you wind up in, and don't say you don't start fights don't forget i foalsat you and twilight."

"Hey he had it coming."

"Even if he did your lucky your basically a prince your self or you'd have been in a lot more trouble."

"He shouldn't have been acting like a prick and belittling that girl."

"Are you all talking about when Jason throat punched Blueblood." The sudden new voice makes everyone turn around to find Shinning armor standing behind them.

"I still refuse to call him that... i much prefer blueballs." That earned him a swat to the arm from cadence.

"Yes shinning we are talking about that incident."

"He did deserve it." Shinning then turns towards Jason.

"Jason..."

"Armor..."

"Brat...."

"Mammas boy..."

"Selfish punk..."

"Twat..."

"Asshole..."

The two look at each other for a few mins the tension growing more and more, before they both smirk and close the distance going into a bro hug.

"Heard you got your ass kicked by some guards."

"They jumped me if I had known they were there they'd be 6 feet or in a coma."

"I'm sure they would." Shinning says as they break the embrace.

" I heard you got taken out by a bunch of bugs."

"She tricked me."

"Eh potato potatoe."

"I see your still as annoying as ever."

"I try and you still got that stick up your ass."

"Gotta put it some where never know when i might need a stick."

"Ok you two enough, let's just go back and enjoy the party." Says cadence stepping between the two.

" alright fine... we'll finish this when I'm less broken."

"Id like to see you try."
With that the group joined back up with the party, enjoying them selves with dancing and drinking.

Later that night when the party was over and cadence and shinning armor said their goodbyes and left twilight and Jason were heading back to the castle with a passed out dragoness draped over jasons back.

"Are you sure you don't want any help I don't want you hurting you self anymore than you already are." Asks Twilight

"I'm fine Twi I can handle lifting a little bit of weight." Jason says as he readjusts barb.

"Alright if your sure jason."

The two continue to walk just enjoying each other presence until Twilight breaks the silence again.

"What do you thinks gonna happen, you know between our two countries?"

"I'm not sure Twi i just hope what ever dose happen its for the better."

"Me too jason." Twilight says as she wraps her arm around jasons.

After getting back to the castle and putting barb to bed jason is laying in his bed looking up at the ceiling mulling over his thoughts.
'What will happen between our two countries? If we go back to war or will we go to peace, either way can I go back to being part of the military there and serve them or do i stay here and take back my place in the royal family, and serve Equestria."

With that final thought jason let's his mind slip into a dreamless sleep.
