(Inside the ship)

The yautja medics surrounded the boy as they operated on him, they managed to remove the tail from his gut, but he was seriously wounded and blood was spilling from him. As they treated him, they did all they could to ensure that the young Hunter would at least be in a stable condition.

GreyBack was meanwhile, waiting outside the medical room with a worried look on his face. He face the ground as the medics were operating on him. As they did, he encountered his friend, Ancient.

"Ancient? What are you doing here?" GreyBack asked

"I'm here because I've not only have been looking for you, but we didn't honor the last warrior that fought the queen."

"And Scar, Celtic and Chopper?"

"They were honored already as they followed when we were about to leave. As for the oomans that they marked, they spoke to me about how we didn't honor their comrades. They asked me to help and I did."

GreyBack nodded and as he turned, the door to the medical room had opened, a yautja came in and said to GreyBack.

"Master? The boy is stable and alive, but he will have to remain here for a few days so we can make sure he gets some proper time to heal and rest."

The Elder predator was relieved that his adoptive son and protege was ok. GreyBack asked

"May I see him?"

The medic nodded and followed GreyBack as he had went in the room without a second thought. He looked at the table and saw his adoptive son on his back, seriously injured but alive. As he looked at his son's injured state, he only looked on and felt sorrow or grief at being a reason for his condition.

Spike, meanwhile, only looked at his adoptive father and smiled saying "Father, we've done it. We stopped the Serpents from causing harm."

The predator only nodded and gave a proud and happy smile saying "I'm proud of you my child, you've shown yourself to be a great hunter of honor, even if it is to those that have wronged you or if you had broke some of our rules."

Spike only gave a happy smile back and rested on the table, as he faced the top of the ceiling of the medical room. Spike only gave a look and turned his head to his adoptive father.

"Um..Father?"

"Yes, my child?"

"I kinda have some questions to ask you."

GreyBack listened and said "Anything for you my son."

"When I was fighting the girls, I suddenly went berserk and transformed, I didnt mention it because I thought it was something normal for yautja. But I started to feel more pain in my body. It died down but it came back a bit. Do you know some thing about it?"

GreyBack gave a look of surprise and said "No, of course not, plus we have almost normal human traits, but not this. I'm going to run a scan on you and your x-rays, hold still."

GreyBack scanned his body and saw a black, shadowy like crystal inside of the boy's chest pulsating a dark green and bloody red color.

"There's something in your stomach, it's not an Serpent newborn, it looks like a sharp crystal."

The medic said "We found that in his surgery, we tried to remove it but it wouldn't come off, let alone move. It even helped while we operated on him, it healed some of his arteries as we had to operate on his stomach and gut. "

The 3 were left astonished as they looked at the boy. The pulsating stopped and nothing happened.

"I guess that answers the first question, so I guess we'll drop it for now."

The 2 nodded reluctantly as Spike asked his next question.

"When you had saved me from being killed a month ago by the Legion of Doom, why DID you save me. And more importantly? Why recruit me and not the other girls?"

GreyBack was surprised at his question, but knew that this would at some point come up and sighed his breath. With a slow breathe, he faced the boy and said.

"When our planet was in jeopardy from the Bad-Bloods, we were searching for an individual that showed great honor and accord in him herself. We had found many, but they had not succeeded in the hunt. When we came here to search for an worthy hunter. We came across you and your allies, we saw that you fought honorably and strictly to your own morals before we had met you. The reason your friends were not chosen was because they had not shown honor and kept on using you as a form of leverage against your own life."

Spike was surprised at his statement, but GreyBack continued

"After I discovered the attack from an Bad-Blood before you joined, I realized that when you were framed, your own kin did not trust you, let alone acknowledge your claims or facts. I realized that you had great potential compared to each of them. That when I saw you, I saw not just a hunter, but an hero."

Spike was surprised at his words. GreyBack truly saw him as a person even though the two weren't even the same species. But being chosen just like that from beings in the sky? That was what made him feel even more shocked. As he faced his father, he gave a look of surprise at what he said, up and said

"So your saying you've been looking for heroes all around the world to fight the creatures and Bad-Bloods that were terrorizing planets so they could be stopped for good?"

"Yes. I understand how you feel of you do not trust me. When I saw you when you were heartbroken about your ooman friends, I never felt an any happier to see you as my son. "

Spike quickly moved his head up and said while getting up and sitting on the examining table.

"No. I do trust you. It's just that ever since this whole mess started, I've been trying to get them to notice me and make me feel like an equal and not use me all the time. But during the fight with the Queen, I realized that even though I left them, they don't deserve to suffer as much. Plus if I had never met you, I would never have become a greater person now."

The two smiled at each other and hugged tenderly. The two had truly developed a strong bond of love and friendship for each other and would never do anything to hurt their bond. After they stopped hugging, Spike looked at his adoptive father and said

"Plus, I think it's best I forgive the girls. It's been so long that I've basically done nothing more then push them away and tell them off to the point where they all nearly end up getting killed or worse. But that doesn't mean where friends, i can't forget what they did to me that caused me so much pain, even with you and my real friends. "

"Then if you will forgive them, what will you see them as?" GreyBack replied

Spike only gave a look of dismay and said "I think it's best we remain acquaintances. I mean after all this, I don't think I can ever go back."

GreyBack nodded with understanding at the boy and asked once more "And when do you plan to tell them?"

Spike only responded "Tomorrow is the last day of school, and I heard that they are bringing their families in to bond with each other at a party. I was gonna ask if you can go but.."

The Elder only smiled in amusement and said "I know and I'm coming."

"You are?!" Spike said

"Yes. I feel it is only fair if I show my love for you aside from your hunts."

"Ok, but the question is, how are you going to enter without exposing yourself?" Spike asked

GreyBack replied by pressing a button on his wrist-gauntlet, and he suddenly had an human appearance. He appeared to be muscular, had his signature bangs and armor and dark green like skin with brown eyes, his appearance consisted of a human in his mid-20's and with half his youth. He pressed the button again to return to his normal appearance

Spike then said with surprise "Oh the disguises you guys use to protect yourselves. That's brilliant!"

GreyBack nodded and said to the young warrior "Now get some rest, tomorrow is not just a big day for you, but also we have to make sure your wounds are fully healed properly."

Spike nodded and said with an happy smile "Goodnight father."

"Goodnight son." GreyBack replied and left the room to let his son rest his injuries.
