Where should I continue to live now? [Edited]
The wedding day has finally come. Twilight and Luna were super excited, they had been waiting for that day for months. Although Twilight was excited for the wedding day, she hasn’t left her royal duties aside, while Luna was so excited for the day that she hardly slept well.
But now she had nothing to worry about. Everything was going well. Twilight’s friends would be her bridesmaid and Luster Dawn, her best mare. When friends and the Twilight student found out that Luna and Twilight were getting married, everypony was happy. Luster Dawn was happy for her mentor, even though she was still heartbroken inside. Applejack was in charge of the food and Rainbow Dash helped her, Fluttershy of the music, Pinkie Pie of the games, Rarity of the dresses, Luster Dawn was in charge of supervising everything and the Cutie Mark Crusaders would be the florists. Celestia had returned to Canterlot to be the wedding priest for her sister and her former student.
Twilight and Luna were now in separate rooms, dressing for the wedding. The room that Twilight was had the walls of the color white, a mirror, a table with the bouquet and a wardrobe with other wedding clothes. She wore a white dress with light blue stars and her veil was white. She was without her princess perks and was admiring herself in the mirror and had a smile on her face while a hoof was raised. “This dress that Rarity made for me really suits me.”
Twilight couldn’t help thinking that this dress reminded her of her first dress that she wore to go to the Grand Galloping Gala for the first time. She wondered if Rarity was inspired by that dress. Well, being it or not, she still loved her wedding dress. Twilight started to wonder what Luna’s dress would look like. Did it also have stars on the dress? Or did it have moons? Was it the same color as hers? Or was it a different color?
But she wouldn’t complain about her future wife’s dress if it wasn’t a different color. Twilight heard a knock on the door, she turned to the door. “You may come in.”
The door opened to reveal Celestia. “Twilight, it’s time.”
“OK. I’m already going.” Twilight Sparkle took her bouquet with her magic as she watched Celestia leave.
Twilight looked at herself in the mirror one last time, closed her eyes and took a deep breath. May everything work out, Faust.
Twilight’s friends, Luster and Celestia were at the same location where Cadence and Shining Armor were married. Luster wore a light pink dress with sun designs, Twilight’s friends wore the same dresses at the wedding of Cadence and Shining Armor, Celestia was undressed, just with her perks, and Spike wore a term and held a pillow with two rings: A silver ring and a gold ring.
The entrance door opened, revealing the Cutie Mark Crusaders in light pink and white dresses, they held a basket with rose petals. They started walking and started to swing the basket, so that the petals fell on the floor. When they finished watching Twilight and Luna go to Celestia.
The two mares held a bouquet of roses. Luna’s bouquet was red and the dress was black with crescent moon designs with stars. They started walking over to where Celestia was. Twilight was walking ahead while Luna was behind. Tears started to come out of Rarity’s eyes, but she soon wiped the tears away with a handkerchief and Applejack put on her cowgirl hat while looking around. When Luna and Twilight climbed the few steps, Twilight stayed on the left and Luna on the right.
Celestia started to speak. “We are here in this ceremony to bring these two mares together,” she looked at Twilight. “Twilight Sparkle, do you accept Luna as your legitimate wife?”
“I accept,” Twilight Sparkle responded with joy.
Celestia looked at Luna now. “Luna, do you accept Twilight Sparkle as your legitimate wife?”
“Yes, I accept,” Luna replied with a big smile.
Celestia looked at Spike. “Bring the rings, please.”
Spike approached Celestia. Celestia took the two rings that were on the cushion and placed each one on the horn of the two mares. Celestia placed the silver ring on the horn of Twilight and the gold ring on Luna’s.
“Then, I declare both mare and mare. Brides can kiss,” said Celestia happy with the two mares she cared about most.
Twilight and Luna wasted no time and gave a passionate kiss while the two hugged.
Twilight, Luna, Celestia, Twilight’s friends, Luster, Spike and the other guests were now in the castle garden, dancing. As Luna and Twilight danced together, Celestia began to reflect on what she should do next after the Twilight and Luna honeymoon is over. She planned to go back to living in Manehattan, but she started to wonder if she should move back to Canterlot with Luna and Twilight. She really didn’t know. A part of her wanted to continue to live in Manehattan, because she was used to living there since her retirement. But another wanted her to move back to Canterlot, since Luna would be living together with Twilight. She didn’t know what to do.
When she looked at Luna and Twilight again, she saw the two of them going to the carriage. The carriage was round and silver in color with designs of stars and moon. Luster opened the carriage with her magic as she bowed. Twilight and Luna went inside. Luster closed the carriage and went over to her friends to talk to them.
“Love, don’t forget to throw the bouquet,” whispered Luna as she looked at Twilight Sparkle.
“Ah. Yes!” she stuck her head out and threw the bouquet with her magic.
“Mine!!” shouted Rarity as she show taking the bouquet with the front hooves while smiling wildly. But, she stopped when she saw the other three bridesmaids looking at her, not happy.
Celestia watched the carriage leave. She didn’t know what she would do now. She didn’t know whether to return to Manehattan and continue to live there or then return to Canterlot. A part of her wanted to move back to Canterlot because she had lived here since Canterlot was founded, but another wanted her to continue to move back to Manehattan because she was already living in a hotel. What would she do?
“Celestia? It’s all right?”
Celestia’s ears perked up at the voice. She recognized the owner of the voice very well. She looked back and saw Spike, looking at her with a possible look of concern. “No, Spike. It isn’t alright.”
“What happened, Celestia?” asked Spike concerned about the former princess of the day.
“I’m undecided about where I should continue to live,” replied Celestia.
“Where were you living after your retirement?”
“In Manehattan.”
Spike was curious. What would life be like there? “Really? What life is like there?”
“It’s almost the same as in Canterlot. But the difference is that there are no nobles like Canterlot,” replied Celestia. “There are even parties there at night.”
“Where are the parties in Manehattan?” asked Spike.
“In a bar, Spike,” replied Celestia.
“Did you and Luna go to these bar parties quite often?”
“I went to these parties quite often during my retirement. Luna preferred to stay at the hotel, since parties were not something she liked to attend, not even during her retirement,” replied Celestia. “But now that Luna is married, I don’t know where I should continue to live.”
Spike raised an eyebrow as he was confused. “You don’t know where to live after Luna and Twilight’s wedding?”
“Yes, Spike. I want to continue to live in Manehattan because I will be able to attend the parties. But if I continue to live in Manehattan, I will no longer have Luna’s company. If I move back to Canterlot, I will have the company of Luna, Twilight and you, but that would mean that I could not enjoy the retirement with Luna as much, because now she is now Twilight’s wife,” Celestia explained to Spike. “Please, I need your help.”
Spike had his paw on his chin in thought until he had an idea. “I already know!”
Celestia smiled. “You already know? What’s your idea?”
“While Luna and Twilight are on their honeymoon, why don’t you take the time to stay in Manehattan? And when they return to Canterlot, you return to live in Canterlot with Luna and Twilight?” replied Spike with a smile on his face.
As much as Celestia liked the idea, she still had her insecurities. “It’s a good idea. But Spike, don’t you see? Luna is married to Twilight. She will spend more time with Twilight than with me. I will not be able to enjoy retirement without her.”
“I know, Celestia. But I also had another idea while I was thinking about it,” said Spike.
“What was your other idea?” asked Celestia.
“How about if instead of enjoying retirement not only with Luna, but also alongside the ponies you like best?” Spike raised a paw.
“Alongside with the ponies I like?” when Celestia said that, she immediately thought of Twilight. “But Spike, Twilight is reigning Equestria now. How will I enjoy the retirement if Luna is with Twilight now?”
“You could enjoy your retirement by going out with Twilight friends and Twilight student,” suggested Spike.
Celestia was surprised by the last three words. “Twilight student? Does Twilight have a student now?”
“Yes. Her name is Luster Dawn.”
Celestia smiled, she liked that name. “You know, until I liked that name.”
Spike was a little surprised. “Did you like it?”
“Yes, Spike. Her name reminds me of the day,” replied Celestia. “Do you know where she is? I would like to meet her.”
“Yes. Follow me.” Spike started walking. Celestia followed him.
As they walked, Celestia started to wonder how would be the Twilight student. How would the hair color fur? The mane? And Cutie Mark? Would it be a sun too?
“Luster Dawn!” called Spike.
Celestia noticed a pink unicorn with a yellow and orange mane in a light pink dress with sun designs approaching her and Spike. “Yes, Spike?”
“Luster Dawn, this is Celestia. Celestia, this is Luster Dawn,” introduced Spike with a smile.
“Oh. So you’re Celestia?” asked Luster Dawn, now looking to Celestia.
“Yes. And are you the Twilight student?” asked Celestia.
“Yes. Luna is your sister, right?” Luster Dawn wanted to be sure.
“Yes. Did Twilight tell you?”
“No. Rarity who told me during our picnic in the park in Ponyville.”
“Was Luna at the picnic?”
“Yes. It was at this picnic that I discovered that you and Luna used to rule Equestria before Twilight,” replied the pink unicorn. “Where do you live now that you are retired?”
“In Manehattan. But now that Luna has married Twilight, I don’t know if I should continue to live in Manehattan or if I should live in Canterlot again,” replied Celestia.
“Would you like my help to resolve this?” Luster Dawn offered help.
“Yes. Do you have any idea?”
Luster Dawn put the hoof on her chin in thought. When it was over, she looked sadly at Celestia. “No, I’m out of ideas. I’m sorry.”
Celestia pouted. “But what am I going to do then?”
“Celestia, what about my idea?” asked Spike.
“I don’t know if it’s a good idea, Spike.” Celestia scratched her knee with a hoof as she looked to the side and her ears were down.
“But why do you think my idea isn’t a good one?”
Celestia was surprised, her ears went up and she stopped scratching her knee. “No, Spike. I think your idea is good, yes. It’s just that I’m afraid that if I stay with Luna together with Twilight here, I won’t be able to enjoy retirement with her. Since Luna would be busy with Twilight, but I also fear that if I enjoy retirement alone I might miss Luna and get bored easily.”
“But if you get bored, why don’t you go to parties to be distracted, since you like to go to parties? Or take a walk during the day or at night?” asked Luster Dawn, confused.
“I do like to party, Luster. But what matters most to me is Luna. Without her during the retirement, it won’t be the same,” replied Celestia.
“Why don’t you stay in Manehattan during Luna and Twilight’s honeymoon? And when they return from their honeymoon and you stay in Canterlot with them?” asked Luster Dawn with a smile and a raised hoof.
“But Luster, she’ll be busy with Twilight.”
“Celestia, I know you want to spend time with Luna, but she is now Twilight’s wife. And she will probably be helping Twilight all these times. But that doesn’t mean she’s going to let you. When she has time, she will have time for you. I can guarantee,” said Luster Dawn.
Celestia smiled hopefully. “Do you really think?”
“Yes, Celestia. I can see that you love Luna very much and that she loves you very much.” Luster Dawn suddenly felt embraced.
“Thank you Luster Dawn,” said Celestia, smiling, “and you too, Spike.”
Luster Dawn and Spike were surprised, but they soon smiled.
“You’re welcome, Celestia,” said Luster Dawn.
“My pleasure,” thanked Spike.
When Celestia left the embrace, she said to Spike. “Spike, could you tell Luna when she returns for her to send me a letter saying that she and Twilight have returned to Canterlot, yes?”
“Sure, Celestia. I will do this,” promised Spike.
Celestia started walking to leave. “Well, I’m going back to Manehattan. Bye, Spike! Bye, Luster Dawn!”
“Bye, Celestia!” said Spike and Luster Dawn in unison as they waved. When they finished saying that, Celestia spread their wings and flew away.
Spike looked at Luster Dawn while nervously wiggling his paws. “Luster, could you help me fix up everything left over from the wedding?”
Luster Dawn smiled. “Sure, Spike.”
